As the Belt and Road Initiative is initiated, a strong demand for the development of an inland cross-border logistics occurs. The inland port begins to play an important role in the establishment of the inland cross-border logistics network that functions to link sea and land transportation. From the perspective of the hub connection function of inland ports to the cross-border logistics network, this paper studies the optimal design of the integrated inland cross-border logistics network by a multi-objective mixed-integer program, which is built based on factors, e.g., logistics costs, freight time value, environmental costs, and governmental fiscal subsidy policy for cross-border travels. In addition, the influence of different target preferences, different cost structures, and different financial subsidy policies on the network especially on the proportion of different transportation modes are discussed to provide insights for the decision made to establish an efficient and environmental cross-border logistics network inland in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative. The sustainable smart ports can effectively promote the interconnection of important nodes among the Maritime Silk Road, effectively prevent Maritime risks and reduce the pollution of coastal ecological environment. However, few studies have discussed smart port from a sustainable perspective, while lack a systematic integration framework to guide the development of sustainable smart ports. This paper draws on the triple bottom line theory and creatively proposes three new dimensions of smart society, smart economy and smart environment, then attempts to use the combination of fuzzy set theory, DEMATEL, and ISM to evaluate the causal relationship between attributes and explore the interrelationship between levels so that a multilevel hierarchical structure model is established. The research results show that policy support, integration, knowledge and skills are the most important factors in the sustainable smart ports which provide a theoretical guidance for building a sustainable coastal ecological environment. The results reveal that the relationship between Chinese OFDI and export towards the host country is changeable and demonstrates an inverted U shape. The implementation of the ''Belt and Road'' strategy is an important strategic support for building a new regional opening pattern. The implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative has put forward higher requirements for the development of the port whose comprehensive logistics capability directly affects the smooth progress of the Belt and Road Initiative in turn. Hence, it is of vital importance to analyze the logistics competitiveness of the port under such a background. In this paper, 15 ports along the Belt and Road in China were taken as research objects, and their comprehensive logistics competitiveness was measured based on 2017 data by factor analysis method. The term "One Belt and One Road", firstly initiated by the Chinese Government, has brought new opportunities for the effect of China on South Asian countries in the economic and trade cooperation. From 2005 to 2016, the scale of goods trade between South Asian countries and China increased significantly, and South Asia gradually became an important trading partner of China. The structure of China's export products to South Asian countries has not changed much and most of which are technology and capital-intensive processed products. However, the elements of China's import products has changed a lot under marine water conservation and tends to be diversified and rationalized. This paper analyzes the complementarity and competitiveness of trade between China and South Asian countries by applying existing indicators, e.g., revealed comparative advantage index (RCA), trade integration index (TII), trade complementarity index (TCI), export similarity index (ESI) and trade competitiveness index (CI).The results show that China's trade with South Asian countries is more complementary than competitive, and there is great potential for international logistics between China and South Asian countries. According to the situation of marine water conservation, we should make use of trade complementarity to improve the structure of foreign trade, strengthen trade negotiations and advance the development of free trade zones, as well as strengthen infrastructure construction and promote connectivity, in order to increase international trade value and promote logistics industry in China and South Asian countries. In order to deepen the development of commodity trade in the maritime "Silk Road" economic belt, this paper puts forward the modeling and analysis method for the structural characteristics of commodity trade in the maritime "Silk Road" economic belt. This paper uses trade intensity index, comparative advantage index, trade complementarity index and constant market share index to analyze the commodity trade structure characteristics of maritime "Silk Road" economic belt. The results show that: the fluctuation range of China's bilateral trade intensity index is basically between 1.00 and 1.70, and the trade intensity index has always been in a stable rising state, which indicates that the trade intensity between China and its commodity trading partners is relatively high, and the commodity trade exchanges are increasingly close. China has a significant comparative advantage in terms of manufactured goods, and has a high degree of consistency with Malaysia in terms of trade structure and strong competitiveness. To further analyze the dynamic relationship between the Maritime Silk Road and the economic growth of China's import and export trade, this paper builds the spatial econometric model, judges the relationship of the analysis error with the spatial external effect model, and carries out lag regulation. The countries along the Maritime Silk Road are roughly divided into Gulf, South Asia, and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries. To begin, it is necessary to build a preliminary linear regression equation for the economic growth of import and export of countries along the Maritime Silk Road and China. Taking the output value of import and export, the total amount of investment in the infrastructure, and gross domestic product as the analysis indicators, this study explores the dynamic relationship between the Maritime Silk Road and the economic growth of China's import and export trade and tests the validity of the analysis model through empirical testing. The results show that in different periods and with different policies, the relationship between the Maritime Silk Road and the economic growth of China's import and export trade will change accordingly. Research on brand cognition has mainly focused on examining its influence on the behavioral outcomes. Many areas in brand information reception and processing, however, have been neglected, such as research on how consumers react to the complex information environment. As such, firstly, this research gives the connotation of brand cognitive confusion based on interdisciplinary literature review. Secondly, the research develops and validates a scale to measure brand cognitive confusion and bases its measurement on Chinese mobile phone market. Considering the inter-regional development imbalance in China and China's current regional development strategy, the research uses samples from both eastern coastal provinces and western in-land province in China's maritime and land silk road area. Finally, the research builds the conceptual model that consists of four dimensions: product quality confusion, product function confusion, brand personality confusion and enterprise capacity confusion. This paper uses 18 indicators of 16 Chinese port cities along the "New Maritime Silk Road" in the 2018 China Statistical Yearbook to reflect the level of financial development and financial development environment, AHP is used to determine the weight of each indicator, cluster analysis is used to classify the cities according to the financial development level, and then principal component analysis is used to analyze the indicators, so as to get the score ranking of each city's financial development level, find out the reasons for the differences in financial development of port cities. The result shows that the financial industry strength and development speed of Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen are in the forefront due to historical accumulation factors and long-term national policy support. Cluster analysis further proves that the financial development of each port city has significant differences, and the influencing factors also have regional differences, among which the economic development level, economic growth level and the development of banking and insurance industry have a greater impact on the financial development of the city. Guangzhou, as the "earliest departure port of the Maritime Silk Road" and an international city, has attracted more and more attention at home and abroad. News is an important tool to spread information and record the social events and keywords are often taken to be markers of "aboutness" to indicate the main idea of the news reports. This paper retrieves the keywords from two self-built corpora, Corpus of Guangzhou's Local Media Reports and Corpus of China's Media Reports, which cover the news reports on Guangzhou from 2010 to 2018, and then studies the collocations and semantic prosody of the keywords. The research results show that as to the similarities, the news reports from both Guangzhou's local media and China's media are becoming internationalized recently. Furthermore, they both pay close attention to the holding of Asian Games, actions given by Guangzhou's government, the incity and international development of Guangzhou. However, the coverage of news reports by Guangzhou's local media is larger than that of news reports by China's media; Guangzhou's local media mainly targets readers within the city but China's media mainly targets readers in the whole country; Guangzhou's local media stresses the connection with surrounding cities while China's media emphasizes the connection with domestic main cities. All relevant coastal cities should actively use the development strategy of this country in the new era and actively promote the upgrading and transformation of the marine economic structure. This paper introduces the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road initiative to the marine industry of China's coastal provinces and analyzes the main problems existing in the development of marine economic industry in China's coastal provinces. Then, the North Bay is taken as an example to propose the marine industry selection and system construction. Finally, it expounds the path of the adjustment of the marine economic industrial structure of China's coastal provinces under the Belt and Road initiative. It is expected to promote the cooperation and exchange of higher level marine economy among the countries and regions along the coastal cities of China and the Maritime Silk Road and promote the development of marine economy in China's coastal cities. The climate change characteristics and adaptation abilities of the offshore East China Sea area are very important issues against the backdrop of the Maritime and Polar Silk Roads strategy. Based on meteorological observation data and reanalysis data, the spatial distribution and temporal variation characteristics of sea surface temperature (SST), sea surface salinity (SSS) and winds in the offshore East China Sea area were analyzed. From 1979 to 2017, the offshore average SST increased by 0.18°C/10 a as a whole. The average SSS showed an interdecadal cycle from 1980 to 2017 with a peak in 2005 (34.54 g/kg) and a trough in 1995 (34.26 g/kg). The lowest offshore SSS was 34.0 g/kg in the southern Korean Peninsula and the southern Taiwan Strait, while the highest offshore SSS was 34.8 g/kg in the low-latitude Pacific offshore area. The climatic characteristics annual accumulated gale days, annual local maximum wind speed, absolute maximum wind speed and average wind speed from 1971 to 2017 were analyzed, which showed that the influence of gales on Zhejiang was more serious than their influence on the other provinces in East China. In addition, decision-making strategies for climate change adaptation are discussed to provide a scientific reference for controlling the risks of climate change to the East China coastal zone and the Maritime Silk Road strategy. On the basis of the relevant data from China's outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) in 23 countries along the Maritime Silk Road from 2005 to 2018, this article uses an investment gravity model to empirically examine the influence of environmental regulations of these countries on China's OFDI entry. The results indicate that the environmental regulations of these countries negatively influence China's OFDI entry, and the robustness test is adopted to prove that the conclusions of this article are reliable. The analysis of heterogeneity shows that the environmental regulation of higher-income countries is significantly negative, whereas those of lower-income countries are not significantly negative; countries with higher levels of environmental regulation obviously inhibit entry in China's OFDI, whereas countries whose environmental regulation is at a lower level do not make a big difference to China's OFDI entry. The main results are as follows: (1) Port infrastructure connectivity improvement can enhance logistics performance and economic growth, while logistics performance improvement has no significant effect on promoting economic growth. However, logistics performance plays an active intermediary role in port infrastructure connectivity promoting economic growth; (2) Logistics performance improvement can promote seaborne trade, while port infrastructure connectivity is negatively related to the seaborne trade, which may be due to the low efficiency of ports. The results show that FTAs have a significantly positive impact on exports of Chinese forestry industry. After controlling for the impact of the global financial crisis in 2008 and removing the extreme values in the sample, FTAs still have a significantly positive impact on exports of Chinese forestry industry. Through the panel data threshold effect regression model method, the differences in spillover effects of cross-border e-commerce on the development of the manufacturing industry in the Maritime Silk Road Economic Belt are analyzed under different logistics levels. The conclusion is that the cross-border e-commerce of the Maritime Silk Road Economic Belt in the eastern part of China promotes development of the manufacturing industry, and the expansion of the manufacturing market has led to a win-win situation for the further development of cross-border e-commerce, mainly because of the superior logistics infrastructure in the region. However, in the central and western region, because of the limitation of logistics development, the cross-border e-commerce of the Maritime Silk Road Economic Belt directly leads to the weakening of the mutual promotion of cross-border e-commerce and manufacturing, thus hindering cross-border e-commerce to promote the development of manufacturing.
