In this article, the author discusses importance of noninvasive positive-pressure ventilation (NIPPV) in adult patients with severe respiratory distress, and mentions its benefits. It also mentions its benefits including decrease in number of hospital mortality. The author informs that seven randomized controlled trial (RCT) with 632 patients who were hypoxic respiratory failure and tachypnea for checking effectiveness of NIPPV.
