The role of libraries in preparing students to thrive during their studies and innovate after university is growing in importance. Information is more easily accessible through digital channels and is increasingly abundant. Generative Artificial intelligence (AI) adds to this reality and increases the need for digitally driven information literacy skills. This paper aims to guide librarians by discussing the digitalization of information creation, retrieval, and use. It recommends the training of both digital and information literacy for students. Librarians are called upon to provide clear guidelines to their universities to steer the use of generative AI. The implications of digital information sources and generative AI are discussed with the role of librarians in context. Information literacy and digital literacy are related. Academic libraries should include digital topics in information literacy training. Information literacy should be trained at the start of university education and before students begin dissertation writing. Purpose: The digital contents (d-contents) are vulnerable to various threats either natural or manmade. Digital preservation is the plethora of a wide array of strategies necessary for the long-term preservation of digital objects. This study was carried out to assess the digital preservation practices for information resources in university libraries of Pakistan. Design/methodology/approach: A quantitative survey based on a structured questionnaire was carried out to conduct the study. The questionnaire containing two sets of strategies (general and technical) was distributed amongst the whole population and received 90% response rate. Findings: Overall, progressive implementation of general digital preservation practices was noted in these libraries like checking the digital collections for viruses, keeping the digital media in fire/water/theft proof locations, restricting unauthorized access, maintaining ideal humidity and temperature, and checking the digital media for functionality. Amongst the technical practices, only replication was in practice at a progressive rate, followed by metadata recording and media refreshing that was sometimes practiced in these libraries. The other technical practices were rarely or never practiced in these libraries. Significant variances in general and technical digital preservation practices were noted based on their physical locations (regional distribution). Research limitations/implications: The study contributes a comprehensive set of digital preservation practices divided into general and technical types to conduct similar studies in other parts of the world. Practical implications: The findings stress the need for national and institutional policies, funding streams and skill enhancement of library staff. Objectives: This study aims to explore how health science faculty publication patterns at a large public research university have changed over time and examine how productivity relates to their information-seeking behavior and perception of the academic library. Methods: Two datasets were utilized: one consisted of publication records of health sciences faculty spanning a 15-year period, while the other was from a faculty survey exploring faculty's perception of and satisfaction with library resources and services related to their research. Results: Health sciences faculty publication patterns have changed over time, characterized by greater productivity, collaboration, and use of literature in their publications. Faculty's literature use correlates with productivity, as evidenced by both datasets. The survey revealed that faculty with more publications tend to rely more on online journals and Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Similarly, the publication data indicated that less productive faculty tended to use fewer references in their publications. Discussion: The publication data and survey results offer valuable insights into the health sciences faculty's informationseeking behavior and productivity. Online access to information has been effective in facilitating use of information, as indicated by the greater incorporation of references in publications. Conclusion: The study highlights the changing publication patterns and productivity of health sciences faculty, as well as the role academic libraries play in supporting their research and publishing activities. Although multiple variables influence faculty access to and use of information, faculty attitudes towards the library and use of the library are related to faculty research and productivity. The COVID-19 epidemic influenced the student population of the PTAR li-brary on the City Campus of Melaka in a number of ways, one of which was a change in the frequency and volume with which students utilised the campus's information resources. During and after the COVID-19 pandemic, the experiences of one of the University Library branches at UiTM were detailed in this article. Because of the widespread disruption to traditional classroom settings caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of online courses backed by electronic libraries has become increasingly popular. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of physical and digital learning materials, as well as customer satisfaction, in a PTAR library prior to and during the COVID-19 epidemic. Applications, printed materials, documents, and films were the least-used media due to the constraints of working or studying from home, insufficient infrastructure, a lack of working space, and data subscrip-tions or wifi libraries. The global epidemic was considered to have both posi-tive and negative repercussions for academic libraries. It was suggested that the pattern, concept, and styles of modern information resources and facilities be expanded, that the library capitalise on its many open access re-sources, open data, open educational materials, open services, and open re-pository, and that the library acquire electronic devices immediately. This study aims to evaluate the pattern and scope of use of information resource facilities and services at PTAR Melaka City Campus, as well as the use of the digital library platform at the UiTM Melaka City Campus library.
