This study introduces an innovative Teleoperated Driving (ToD) system integrated with virtual twin technology using the MORAI simulator. The system minimizes the need for extensive video data transmission by utilizing text-based vehicle information, significantly reducing the communication load. Key technical advancements include the use of high-precision GNSS devices for accurate vehicle location tracking, robust data communication via the MQTT protocol, and the implementation of the Ego Ghost mode in the MORAI simulator for precise vehicle simulation. The integration of these technologies enables efficient data transmission and enhanced system reliability, effectively mitigating issues such as communication blackouts and delays. Our findings demonstrate that this approach ensures stable and efficient operation, optimizing communication resource management and enhancing operational stability, which is crucial for scenarios requiring high video quality and real-time response. This research represents a significant advancement in ToD technology, establishing a precedent for integrating virtual twin systems to create more resource-efficient and reliable autonomous driving backup solutions. As technology continues to evolve, so too do privacy concerns individuals have about technology. This is especially true when individuals share highly sensitive, personal content through technology. When individuals sext, they are sharing sexually explicit messages, photos, and videos with another person. Two theories are interrogated in how they may apply to sexting and privacy: communication privacy management theory and privacy calculus. Utilizing these theories, privacy is highlighted in this article as a negotiation process between partners and technologies. Individuals must consider who they share material with and the channels they use, and these theories can help in developing a better understanding of these processes. Sexting can be a positive influence on adults' romantic relationships, whether serious or casual; yet, they need to be able to engage in these behaviors in ways that encourage trust both interpersonally and with their technology. Wireless communication technologies have profoundly impacted the interconnectivity of mobile users and terminals. Nevertheless, the exponential increase in the number of users poses significant challenges, particularly in interference management, which is a major concern in wireless communication. Machine learning (ML) approaches have emerged as powerful tools for solving various problems in this domain. However, existing studies have not fully addressed the problem of interference management for wireless communication using ML techniques. In this paper, we explore the application of recurrent neural network (RNN) approaches to address co-channel interference in wireless communication. Specifically, we investigate the effectiveness of long short-term memory (LSTM), bidirectional LSTM (Bi-LSTM), and gated recurrent unit (GRU) network architectures in two different network settings. The first network comprises 10 connected devices, while the second network involves 20 devices. Our experimental results demonstrate that Bi-LSTM outperforms LSTM and GRU in terms of mean squared error, normalized mean squared error, and sum rate. While LSTM and GRU produce similar results, LSTM exhibits a marginal advantage over GRU. In addition, a combined RNN approach is also studied, and it can provide better results in dense networks. Enhancing safety communication within the construction industry is of paramount importance due to its potential in curtailing occupational injuries and improving the overall well-being of construction field workers. While the importance of improved communication is apparent, few studies have been focused on identifying the factors that positively influence communication, particularly in the context of safety. Especially in the case of foreign construction field workers (FCFWs), who often face communication challenges stemming from language and cultural differences, performing labor tasks in harsh and constantly changing environments is contributing significantly to the increasing rate of industrial accidents. Therefore, this study is aimed at investigating the vital factors that impact safety communication among FCFWs. A phenomenological qualitative method was applied to determine the vital factors influencing the safety communication among FCFWs. On applying the analytical hierarchy process, the factors and their importance were determined, and the vital factors were identified. Quantitative assessment through the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) established that extrinsic motivation (weight: 0.513), management communication style (0.264), and visible safety information (0.127) significantly overshadow other factors in safety communication effectiveness, validating their pivotal roles. However, a major limitation is that interview data were collected from workers of only four nationalities. Future studies should address this by expanding the range of nationalities included to enhance the diversity of experiences and perspectives from a broader variety of foreign construction field workers. Objectives: The aim of this work was to systematically review and carry out a statistical metanalysis to identify the best treatment for close oroantral communications and fistulas and to avoid the risk of recurrence. Materials and Methods: An electronic search was conducted on the MEDLINE database (Pubmed), Scopus, and Google scholar using the following keywords: "oro antral communication (OAC)" OR "oro antral fistula (OAF)" OR "antro-oral communication" OR "communication between maxillary sinus and oral cavity" OR "oro-sinusal communication" OR "oro-sinusal fistula" OR "sinus communication" OR "sinus fistula" OR "antral communication" AND "treatment" OR "management" OR "surgical treatment" OR "surgical interventions". This work was performed in accordance with the guidelines of PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses). After article screening, 9 RCTs (randomized controlled trials), comparing two or more techniques, were included in this review. Results: A statistically significant difference was detected in favor of the buccal fat pad compared to the buccal advancement flap and palatal rotational flap. With the growing maritime economy, ensuring the quality of communication for maritime users has become imperative. The maritime communication system based on nearshore base stations enhances the communication rate of maritime users through dynamic resource allocation. A virtual queue-based deep reinforcement learning beam allocation scheme is proposed in this paper, aiming to maximize the communication rate. More particularly, to reduce the complexity of resource management, we employ a grid-based method to discretize the maritime environment. For the combinatorial optimization problem of grid and beam allocation under unknown channel state information, we model it as a sequential decision process of resource allocation. The nearshore base station is modeled as a learning agent, continuously interacting with the environment to optimize beam allocation schemes using deep reinforcement learning techniques. Furthermore, we guarantee that grids with poor channel state information can be serviced through the virtual queue method. Applying the Delphi method, this study aims at characterizing the perceptions and needs of physicians, individuals with hemophilia, and their caregivers in relation to the management of routine visits during regular follow-ups. A single structured questionnaire, prepared by an advisory board, was administered to 139 participants, comprising hemophilia treaters, patients and caregivers, during the period from May to June 2023. Agreement (defined following the Delphi method as developed by RAND Corporation) was reached on several topics. The Principal Component Analysis methods identified the four most relevant areas where consensus was reached among the interviewees, underscoring the necessity for in-depth discussions during routine visits: (1) medical aspects related to symptoms, life-limitations, pain, etc.; (2) non-medical related aspects (ambitions, lifestyle, network, etc.); (3) logistical-organizational aspects (home–hospital distance, alternative modalities of communication); and (4) visit duration and telemedicine integration. The results of both the Delphi and Principal Component Analysis underline that the care of individuals with hemophilia extends beyond merely prescribing drugs or treatment regimens. Instead, it necessitates consideration of numerous variables from both therapeutic and non-therapeutic domains, all of which are deemed important for the holistic management of the individuals. Network slicing is introduced for elastically instantiating logical network infrastructure isolation to support different application types with diversified quality of service (QoS) class indicators. In particular, vehicular communications are a trending area that consists of massive mission-critical applications in the range of safety-critical, intelligent transport systems, and on-board infotainment. Slicing management can be achieved if the network infrastructure has computing sufficiency, a dynamic control policy, elastic resource virtualization, and cross-tier orchestration. To support the functionality of slicing management, incorporating core network infrastructure with deep learning and reinforcement learning has become a hot topic for researchers and practitioners in analyzing vehicular traffic/resource patterns before orchestrating the steering policies. In this paper, we propose QoS-driven management by considering (edge) resource block utilization, scheduling, and slice instantiation in a three-tier resource placement, namely, small base stations/access points, macro base stations, and core networks. The proposed scheme integrates recurrent neural networks to trigger hidden states of resource availability and predict the output of QoS. The intelligent agent and slice controller, namely, RDQ3N, gathers the resource states from three-tier observations and optimizes the action on allocation and scheduling algorithms. Experiments are conducted on both physical and virtual representational vehicle-to-everything (V2X) environments; furthermore, service requests are set to massive thresholds for rendering V2X congestion flow entries. The Argo buoy detects marine environmental data by making profile movements in the ocean and transmits the profile detection data to the shore base through the communication terminal. However, due to the large volume of data collected from profile detections and the continuous operation of the terminal, the remote communication of buoys is characterized by lengthy communication times and significant power consumption. A low-power Beidou transparent transmission terminal is designed to solve these problems in this paper. The terminal performs low-power operation management and power management for terminal remote communication. After the end of a communication process, the microcontroller turns the Beidou module power off and enters STOP mode. Before the next communication process begins, the serial port wakes up the microcontroller, which powers up the Beidou module. Before the remote communication, the microcontroller compacts the profile detection data collected by the buoy to reduce the quantity of remote communication data. In this paper, a variety of data compression methods are used to compare the compression rate, and the best compression method is selected according to the format characteristics of the data. The results show that the Beidou transparent transmission terminal of the Argo buoy can realize low power consumption for remote communication in ocean exploration. The terminal reduces power consumption by 77.282% per communication, and the average number of remote communications for each profile detection data are reduced by 55 times. Renovation of existing buildings pose unique challenges to the projects, especially when facilities must remain operational during construction. Building Information Modeling (BIM) methods offer a potential solution by enhancing project management and coordination. Nevertheless, comprehensive case study research on BIM implementation challenges and benefits in renovation projects is lacking. This research addresses this gap through an ethnographic investigation of BIM implementation in a complex renovation project. The ethnographic methods involved direct observation of project meetings, active engagement in all project communications, and access to project data resources. Additionally, surveys and expert interviews with key decision-makers were conducted. The findings reveal how BIM implementation streamlined project management and improved communication, decision making, and output quality, despite limited prior BIM expertise among the major stakeholders. Challenges included a lack of BIM skills, absence of standardized practices, and unclear data management. Furthermore, valuable lessons were identified, including that the necessity of BIM requirements and proper procurement methods encompassing the entire project workflow, formalizing information exchange, preventing information fragmentation, facilitating model accessibility, and ensuring clarity in model detail and content are crucial for project success. The aim of the study is to analyze the communication management strategies of the top 40 hotel companies, in terms of turnover, using their corporate accounts on social networks during the Easter holiday campaign in 2021 and 2022. By using apps such as "Data Analytics" and "Content Analytics" from Welovroi, a comparative, quantitative and qualitative study, using content and discourse analysis, was designed. The comparative study seeks to identify possible changes and offers data on activity, impact and the published content. The results reveal a considerable difference—both quantitative and qualitative—from one period to the other in terms of behavior and networking on social media of the brands studied. Despite the increase in publications from 2021 to 2022, the level of engagement falls, the frequency of publications and content varies and, in addition, the importance of Instagram and Facebook, as networks which generate more interaction with the public, can be noted. With the rapid advancement of the informatization process of China's construction industry, the requirements for the integration of engineering design and construction are getting higher and higher. The quality of engineering design and the level of design management directly affect the quality of construction. The emergence of the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) model overcomes the shortcomings of the traditional contracting model, but it is still not ideal in terms of work integration and information transmission. BIM (building information modeling) is a collaborative process of creating, managing and exchanging information throughout the construction project. BIM has revolutionized the construction, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. This paper examines the problems related to current project design management in China and their causes. On the basis of summarizing the existing research on design management, it introduces a form of BIM integrating design BIM and construction BIM, so as to better depict the leading role of design in the construction process. By analyzing the changes in organizational management and communication methods brought about by BIM, this paper optimizes and innovates upon the traditional project design process in view of the problems in project practice. It advances BIM design work, increases detailed BIM design work and enables the downstream participants to intervene in the design stage, so as to develop a more smooth and efficient design workflow, which provides operable work detail guidance for BIM-based design management in the future. With the increasing demand for high precision in numerical simulations using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), the use of large-scale grids for discretized solutions has become a trend, resulting in an explosive growth of flow-field data size. To address the challenges posed by large-scale flow-field data for real-time interactive visualization, this paper proposes novel strategies for data partitioning and communication management. Firstly, we propose a data-partitioning strategy based on grid segmentation. This approach constructs metadata to create file viewports for each process and performs grid partitioning. Subsequently, it reconstructs sub-grids within each process and utilizes a coordinate-mapping algorithm to map global coordinates to local process coordinates, facilitating access to attribute variables through a lookup table. Secondly, we introduce a real-time interactive method for large-scale flow fields. This method leverages the system architecture of high-speed interconnection among compute nodes in a cluster environment and low-speed interconnection between service nodes and rendering nodes. It enables coordinated management of parallel rendering and synchronized rendering methods. The experimental results on typical flow-field data demonstrate that the proposed data-partitioning strategy improves the loading speed of millions of grid-level data by a factor of 7, surpassing ParaView's performance by 1.5 times. Furthermore, it achieves system load balancing. Real-time interaction experiments with datasets containing 500 million and 800 million grid cells exhibit millisecond-level latencies, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed communication management method in meeting the real-time interactive visualization demands of large-scale flow-field data. In order to provide better marketing services to customers, companies often want to obtain as much customer information as possible. However, for customers, as well as leading to better service, information disclosure may also put them at risk of information leakage, so customers may respond in two different ways to firms' invitations to disclose information. This paper applies theories of social capital and communication boundary management to developing a framework for understanding the psychological mechanisms behind individuals' responses to disclosure invitations and their subsequent purchase behavior. The results of this study show that under the combined effect of social capital and communication boundaries, subsequent purchases show an inverted-U-shaped relationship, initially increasing and then decreasing as the level of disclosure increases. Furthermore, because the social capital of high-level members and firms is higher than that of low-level members, it moderates the inverted-U-shaped relationship; that is, the higher the level of membership, the more moderate the inverted-U-shaped relationship. Modern medical devices connected to public and private networks require additional layers of communication and management to effectively and securely treat remote patients. Wearable medical devices, for example, can detect position, movement, and vital signs; such data help improve the quality of care for patients, even when they are not close to a medical doctor or caregiver. In healthcare environments, these devices are called Medical Internet-of-Things (MIoT), which have security as a critical requirement. To protect users, traditional risk assessment (RA) methods can be periodically carried out to identify potential security risks. However, such methods are not suitable to manage sophisticated cyber-attacks happening in near real-time. That is the reason why dynamic RA (DRA) approaches are emerging to tackle the inherent risks to patients employing MIoT as wearable devices. This paper presents a systematic literature review of RA in MIoT that analyses the current trends and existing approaches in this field. From our review, we first observe the significant ways to mitigate the impact of unauthorised intrusions and protect end-users from the leakage of personal data and ensure uninterrupted device usage. Second, we identify the important research directions for DRA that must address the challenges posed by dynamic infrastructures and uncertain attack surfaces in order to better protect users and thwart cyber-attacks before they harm personal (e.g., patients' home) and institutional (e.g., hospital or health clinic) networks. The exponential growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) is being witnessed nowadays in different sectors. This makes IoT data communications more complex and harder to manage. Addressing such a challenge using a centralized model is an ineffective approach and would result in security and privacy difficulties. Technologies such as blockchain provide a potential solution to enable secure and effective management of IoT data communication in a distributed and trustless manner. In this paper, a novel lightweight blockchain-centric IoT architecture is proposed to address effective IoT data communication management. It is based on an event-driven smart contract that enables manageable and trustless IoT data exchange using a simple publish/subscribe model. To maintain system complexity and overhead at a minimum, the design of the proposed system relies on a single smart contract. All the system operations that enable effective IoT data communication among the different parties of the system are defined in the smart contract. There is no direct blockchain–IoT-device interaction, making the system more useable in wide IoT deployments incorporating IoT devices with limited computing and energy resources. A practical Ethereum-based implementation of the system was developed with the ability to simulate different IoT setups. The evaluation results demonstrated the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed architecture. Objective: The aim of this study is to show our experience with the correct management of patients suffering from odontogenic sinusitis with oroantral communication and fistula. Methods: According to the inclusion criteria, 41 patients were enrolled in this retrospective study with a diagnosis of odontogenic sinusitis with oroantral communication and fistula; 1 patient with pre-implantological complication, 14 with implantological complications, and 26 with classical complications. Results: Two patients were treated with a fractioned combined approach, 13 patients were treated with an oral approach only, and 26 patients were treated with a combination. There was a complete resolution of the symptoms and closure of the fistula in all the patients enrolled. Conclusions: In our study, in all 41 patients, there was a surgical success. The best option is to use a multidisciplinary approach for patients suffering from odontogenic sinusitis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Urban parks are places that have significant impact on the physical and mental health of citizens, but they are also for safeguarding biodiversity and thus fostering human–nature interactions in the everyday landscape. The exploration of these spaces through social media represents a novel field of research that is contributing to revealing patterns of visitor behavior. However, there is a lack of comparable research from a non-anthropocentric perspective. What if we could use social media as a more-than-human communication medium? This research aims to reveal the possibility of communicating the urban forest's voice through the examination of the official Twitter account of a metropolitan park in Tokyo. To this end, an analysis of the content of the messages is carried out, focusing on the narrative voice from which the message is told, the protagonists, the action performed, the network of actors deployed, and the place where it occurs. It is found that the majority of these messages are delivered from a non-human perspective, where plants, animals, or meteorological agents behave deploying complex networks of more-than-human interaction. The current study reveals the latent potential of non-humans as possible agents within the realm of social media, which can mediate the relationships between humans and their environment. It introduces a layer that can be incorporated into future lines of research, as well as provides a model case that illustrates a good practice in the management and communication of urban green spaces. The potential of ad hoc networks, which enable flexible and dynamic network establishment only by mobile terminals equipped with wireless communication devices, has recently attracted attention for the coming IoT era. Although the nature of ad hoc networks shows the advantages of their autonomous and distributed network management, a manifestation of drawbacks owing to the nature of wireless communication and the mobility of terminals are inevitable. Many routing protocols have already been proposed to address the issues by adapting to nature and achieving a certain level of improvement. However, the routing protocols still suffer from difficulties in information collection for routing and adaptive route management during communication. Moreover, there is another issue that end pair-based routing procedures prevent other end pairs from reusing the routing information effectively. To address the drawbacks of conventional routing protocols, this paper proposes VORTEX, a novel routing protocol that employs an opportunistic routing strategy using hierarchization. One of the characteristic features of VORTEX is its network-driven opportunistic forwarding, in which packets travel toward destination terminals using hierarchy as a guide without conventional route discovery procedures. Moreover, another characteristic feature of VORTEX is that the hierarchical structure also contributes to adapting to communication environment changes in an autonomous manner. In other words, VORTEX enables flexible network-wide information-based routing only with the locally collected information. The simulation results show that the proposed VORTEX could provide better service quality and reliability with improved efficiency compared to the conventional routing protocols. Furthermore, the most significant contribution is not only in the communication performance but also VORTEX omits route discovery or route maintenance from routing protocols, and formed networks themselves have a function to deliver packets toward destination terminals. Objective: The main objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of sustainable human resources management (SHRM) and internal communication (IC) on turnover intention (TI) and employee performance (PER) while assessing the mediating role of organizational attractiveness (AT) over these relationships. In this sense, this study intends to evaluate the effect of SHRM and IC on employee PER and TI, with AT acting as the mediator in a joint model of analysis. Methodology: To achieve the aforementioned purposes, a cross-sectional quantitative study was prepared using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). In total, 177 individuals participated in the study. Regarding gender, 62.4% were female. Participants came from all districts of Portugal and were aged from 21 years old to over 55 years old. Results: The main results show that both SHRM and IC are significantly correlated with AT, PER, and TI. Additionally, AT has a total mediation effect in the relationship between SHRM, PER, and TI and also between IC, PER, and TI. Practical implications: These results seem to support the need for organizations to invest in combined strategies and practices that aim to intertwine SHRM and IC towards the benefit of the worker. Both areas have been shown to have solid effects over PER and TI, as well as on the development of favorable worker perceptions that identify the organization as a good place to work. Practitioners should look at both SHRM and IC as valid ways of stimulating the quality of the worker–organization relationship. Avionics systems, which determine the performance, stability, and safety of aircraft, are a crucial part of aircraft. With the rapid development of the aviation industry, there are many serious problems in the process of the traditional simulation and verification of avionics systems, especially in the aspects of poor reusability of the hardware and software, poor real-time data interaction, and the high cost of development. In order to solve these problems, a simulation and verification platform for avionics systems based on the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) architecture has been designed by using component and memory database technology. First, a general architecture is designed by referencing the FACE architecture, which allows flexible access to software and hardware resources of avionics systems. Second, the key technologies involved in the platform are described in detail, including scheduling management, communication management, and configuration management, which provide technical support for the simulation and verification of avionics systems. Finally, the simulation and verification environment of avionics systems is established, which realizes data interaction and management of various models, and improves the efficiency of the development and implementation of avionics systems. The Internet of Things is attracting attention as a solution to rural sustainability crises, such as slowing income, exports, and growth rates due to the aging of industries. To develop a high-performance IoT platform, we designed and implemented an IoT cloud platform using pub/sub technologies. This design reduces the difficulty of overhead for management and communication, despite the harsh IoT environment. In this study, we achieved high performance by applying the pub/sub platform with two different characteristics. As the size and frequency of data acquired from IoT nodes increase, we improved performance through MQTT and Kafka protocols and multiple server architecture. MQTT was applied for fast processing of small data, and Kafka was applied for reliable processing of large data. We also mounted various sensors and actuators to measure the data of growth for each device using the protocol. For example, DHT11, MAX30102, WK-ADB-K07-19, SG-90, and so on. As a result of performance evaluation, the MQTT Kafka platform implemented in this research was found to be effective for use in environments where network bandwidth is limited or a large amount of data is continuously transmitted and received. We realized the performance as follows: the response time for user requests was measured to be within 100 ms on average, data transmission order verification for more than 13 million requests, data processing performance per second on an average of 113,134.89 record/s, and 64,313 requests per second were performed for requests that occurred simultaneously from multiple clients. In factory automation and process control systems, hybrid wired/wireless networks are often deployed to connect devices of difficult reachability such as those mounted on mobile equipment. A widespread implementation of these networks makes use of Access Points (APs) to implement wireless extensions of Real-Time Ethernet (RTE) networks via the IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN (WLAN). Unfortunately, APs may introduce random delays in frame forwarding, mainly related to their internal behavior (e.g., queue management, processing times), that clearly impact the overall worst case execution time of real-time tasks involved in industrial process control systems. As a consequence, the knowledge of such delays becomes a crucial design parameter, and their estimation is definitely of utter importance. In this scenario, the paper presents an original and effective method to measure the aforementioned delays introduced by APs, exploiting a hybrid loop-back link and a simple, yet accurate set-up with moderate instrumentation requirements. The proposed method, which requires an initial calibration phase by means of a reference AP, has been successfully tested on some commercial APs to prove its effectiveness.
