Abstract

The a article discusses the seminal study by D. Mergler and colleagues concerning the intergenerational effects of methyl mercury (MeHG) poisoning on children's mental health. The researchers used structural equation models (SEMs) to assess the intergenerational effects of grandmaternal (G0) and maternal (G1) MeHg poisoning on children's mental health. The results of the study suggest that MeHG toxicity may have profound intergenerational effects on children's mental health.
