Background: Drug overdose deaths in the United States have continued to increase at an alarming rate. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) distributed more than $7 billion between January 2016 and June 2020 to address the drug overdose crisis. The funds support evidence-based responses, including medications for opioid use disorder, and other prevention, treatment and recovery activities. Although the State Opioid Response (SOR) grants finance much-needed community level interventions, many of the services they support may not be sustainable, without ongoing assessment, evaluation and planning for continuation. Methods: This paper describes a statewide effort to support local entities through SAMHSA's SOR grants in Virginia. Community agencies across the state participated in detailed needs assessment exercises with VHEOC investigators, and developed requests for proposals (RFPs) to sustain their SOR programs. The RFPs were then distributed to prospective academic partners at the five VHEOC universities, based on the required subject matter expertise identified in the RFP. All responsive proposals were then provided to the local agencies who selected the proposal most likely to meet their needs. VHEOC investigators also conducted an inductive, three-phase content analysis approach to examine the RFPs submitted to the VHEOC to identify nominal categories of support requested of the VHEOC investigators. Results: VHEOC Investigators received and coded 27 RFPs from ten community agencies representing four of five regions of the state. We identified six nominal categories of academic assistance with high inter-coder agreement. The six categories of support requested of the academic partners were program development and support, literature review and best practices, outreach and education, data analysis and interpretation, program evaluation, and grant writing assistance. Several RFPs requested up to three categories of support in a single project. Conclusions: Our analysis of the requests received by the consortium identified several categories of academic support for SOR-grantees addressing the drug overdose crisis. The most common requests related to development and maintenance of supportive collaborations, which existing research has demonstrated is necessary for the long-term sustainability of SOR-funded services. In this way, the academic partners reinforced sustainable SOR-funded programs. • RF conditioning of RFQ of IFMIF/EVEDA accelerator (LIPAc) reached stable CW at 80 % of nominal voltage at the end of 2021. • Conditioning towards nominal voltage at CW was stopped in March 2022 because of vacuum leak from one of the O-Ring of the RF windows, damaged by high temperature. • Several coupled RF and thermal simulations of the couplers of the RFQ were performed with FEM codes. Thermal weak point was identified in the contact between the anchor of the RF window and the cooled inner conductor of the coupler. • A solution to improve cooling of the RF window that could be implemented quickly with minor modifications of the RF windows parts of the couplers was found. • After the testing and validation of the modification in a prototype, the couplers with the modified parts were successfully installed in RFQ and RF conditioning of RFQ resumed in June 2023. Under the Broader Approach (BA) agreement, the Accelerator Facility validation activities aim at demonstrating the acceleration of 125 mA D+ beam up to 9 MeV. This is the main goal of the Linear IFMIF Prototype Accelerator (LIPAc) under installation and commissioning in Rokkasho, Japan [ 1 , 2 ]. The LIPAc commissioning by accelerating the beam through the entire line is currently on-going at Rokkasho Fusion Institute [ 3,4 ]. Other than the beam commissioning, in 2021 and 2022 extensive conditioning experimental campaigns have been carried out on the Radio Frequency Power System (RFPS)-RFQ system to reach CW [5]. The RFPS-RFQ is composed of 8 RF-RFQ tetrode based chains injecting RF power into the RFQ by 8 couplers. The target of the RFQ conditioning campaigns is to reach CW operation at nominal vane-voltage of 132 kV. RFQ could achieve CW field of 105 kV at the end of 2021 [ 5,8 ]. During the RFQ conditioning campaigns in 2022, the conditioning was stopped because of abnormal increase of vacuum pressure due to a leak from one O-Ring of the couplers. The 8 couplers are equipped with a ceramic window (vacuum barrier) using O-ring for sealing purposes [ 9 ]. Extensive simulation and design studies have been carried out and an upgraded design of the parts near the RF window of RFQ coupler has been proposed and validated for implementation. This paper will focus on the RFQ couplers technical issue, analysis of the design upgrade, implementation of the upgraded solution and perspective for future improvements of the RFQ couplers designs in view of FNS and DONES application. Persistence involves the intention to maintain efforts when faced with obstacles and challenges, in order to achieve a specific goal. The Rigid and Flexible Persistence Scale (RFPS) is a self-report measure that assesses persistence that is theoretically derived from the premises of the Dualistic Model of Passion. The aim of the present research was to adapt the RFPS to Brazilian Portuguese and to estimate its evidence of validity and reliability in the context of work. Participants were 400 professionals, 55.8% women, aged between 18 and 68 years. The results indicate that the RFPS presented validity evidence based on the content. Corresponding to the theoretical expectations, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses demonstrated adequacy of the structure composed of two factors, explaining 75% of the data variance, with good levels of reliability. The RFPS also revealed strong invariance across gender and work conditions (in-person vs remote). Flexible persistence showed positive association with harmonious passion and occupational self-efficacy. Conversely, rigid persistence showed positive association with obsessive passion. It was observed a mediational role of occupational self-efficacy in the relationship between harmonious passion and flexible persistence. Overall, the findings suggest that the RFPS is an adequate measure of persistence in a Brazilian occupational sample. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Transgenic animals expressing fluorescent proteins are widely used to label specific cells and proteins. By using a split Cre recombinase fused with mCherry-binding nanobodies or designed ankyrin repeat proteins, we created Cre recombinase dependent on red fluorescent protein (RFP) (Cre-DOR). Functional binding units for monomeric RFPs are different from those for polymeric RFPs. We confirmed selective target RFP-dependent gene expression in the mouse cerebral cortex using stereotaxic injection of adeno-associated virus vectors. In estrogen receptor-beta (Esr2)-mRFP1 mice and gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (Grpr)-mRFP1 rats, we confirmed that Cre-DOR can be used for selective tracing of the neural projection from RFP-expressing specific neurons. Cellular localization of RFPs affects recombination efficiency of Cre-DOR, and light and chemical-induced nuclear translocation of an RFP-fused protein can modulate Cre-DOR efficiency. Our results provide a method for manipulating gene expression in specific cells expressing RFPs and expand the repertory of nanobody-based genetic tools. In ultrasonic ranging system, the time-of-flight (TOF), which acquired by the determination of two special points of ultrasonic echo, is important for accuracy and speed. The published calculation of TOF processing methods is too enormous to affect the real-time performance. To improve its measurement accuracy and speed, we proposed a new algorithm called "moving sine-wave fitting" to calculate the envelope of ultrasonic echo for each calibration point. Then, the absolute feature point (AFP) corresponding to half of the envelope peak can be defined and used to find out the relative feature point (RFP); the linear relationship between the RFPs and the known distances should be obtained referring to calibration points. At last, the distance on the measure can be acquired by using linear interpolation according to the above relationship. The measurement experiments have been performed on a set of distances, which shows a good measurement resolution that the overall measurement accuracy is 0.513 mm, and the linear correlation coefficient between the RFPs and the obtained distances is R2 = 0.806. In this article, a novel reconfigurable filtering vector-sum phase shifter (RFPS) with a continuous phase shift range of $\ge 300^{\circ }$ and tunable operating frequency range from 1.05 to 1.3 GHz is proposed. It consists of two identical wideband Wilkinson power dividers (or power combiners) (WPDs) and a reconfigurable filtering quadrature coupler (RFQC) that is connected between the two WPDs. Through the first WPD, the split waves are fed into the RFQC and are then combined at the output ports of the RFQC. The phase of the combined waves can be continuously tuned by adjusting different combinations of coupling types between interstage resonators of the RFQC, and the resulted output waves are then summed up through the second WPD with the desired output phase. Different from the conventional active vector-sum phase shifter, the vector summing is realized by the proposed RFQC and is a pure passive design, resulting in a low-cost, low-noise, easy-design, and highly flexible system. A prototype is designed and fabricated to demonstrate the proposed technique. Detailed theoretical analysis and design procedure have been given. The experimental results show that the proposed RFPS features the continuous phase-control range of more than 300° with a tunable filtering response covering the frequency range from 1.05 to 1.3 GHz.
