To overcome the difficulty and unprecedented suspensions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, every organization is required to consider strategic steps to sustain, one of which is by implementing digital transformation and developing leadership capability. This study aims to determine the impact of digital transformation and leadership capability in maintaining the organization, particularly in distance education. This study used questionnaires distributed to 402 students to obtain their opinions on digital transformation, leadership capability, and organizational resilience in Universitas Terbuka, a founder of distance education institutions in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using descriptive and Higher-Order Structural Equation Modeling analysis. Based on the modelling, it is shown that the modelling had a good value of the Goodness of Fit Indicator through a standardized loading factor (SLF) more than the tolerable loading factor limit (>0.50). The Variance Extracted (VE) and Construct Reliability (CR) values also showed that the questions on every indicator used in this study were sufficiently measurable and reliable. The results of hypothesis testing indicated that there was a positive and significant impact of digital transformation and leadership capability on the organizational resilience of Universitas Terbuka.

This paper aims to identify variables and indicators that are important to improving teacher innovativeness in Indonesia. The paper adopts quantitative research design and Scientific Identification Theory for Operation Research in Education Management (SITOREM). The study population consists of 145 Indonesian state vocational high school teachers. Four questionnaires (transformational leadership, organizational climate, self-efficacy, and teacher innovativeness) assist in the collection of data using survey techniques. The results show that teacher self-efficacy and innovation can be improved by implementing transformational leadership and fostering a conducive school climate. To improve the quality of educational organizations, this study recommends priority variables and indicators for policymakers.

In reality, Organization Citizenship Behavior in an institution is not as expected. However, the contrary occurred at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Bekasi Regency that teachers and staff have a spectrum of abilities and the potential to advance the institution. This research identified and analyzed (1) the role of the principal in improving teachers behavior through transformational leadership, and (2) the inhibiting and supporting factors in improving good teachers behavior and attitudes at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Bekasi Regency, Indonesia. The research used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The principal, representatives, and teachers were informants to obtain the necessary data. The findings showed that the implemented Organizational Citizenship Behavior embodied sincerity, mutual help, brotherhood, and seriousness. However, it still needed improvement to achieve maximum teachers performance in carrying out the task of educating, guiding, training, and directing the students. One of the obstacles in implementing transformational leadership was that several teachers underestimated this program. This research has an implication that Organizational Citizenship Behavior in an institution can be realized if a leader implements a transformational leadership system.

This research analyzed the effects of transformational leadership and self-efficacy on elementary school teachers' Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). The research method was the quantitative method with a survey approach. The research sample consisted of 302 teachers from 40 elementary schools. The data collection technique for this research was a non-test technique with a questionnaire instrument confirmed to be valid and reliable. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and path analysis. The research results showed that: (1) there was a direct positive effect of transformational leadership on OCB with a path coefficient value of 0.204; (2) there was a direct positive effect of self-efficacy on OCB with a path coefficient value of 0.187; and (3) there was an indirect effect of transformational leadership and self-efficacy on OCB path coefficient value of 0.354. This research concluded that transformational leadership and self-efficacy positively affected elementary school teachers' organizational citizenship behavior (OCB).

Background/purpose: The rapid transition to virtual teaching (VT) due to COVID-19-related school closures posed challenges to teachers in regard to upholding the standards of their profession. Perceived transformational leadership of virtual teaching (perceived TL-VT) may have had a protective role in difficult circumstances. Hence, this research study aimed to examine the relationship between perceived TL-VT and organizational citizenship behavior of virtual teaching (OCB-VT) in Indonesia, with job satisfaction of virtual teaching (JS-VT) as a mediator. Materials/methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used in this study, in which data were collected from a sample of teachers at 40 elementary schools in Blitar District, Indonesia. A total of 418 teachers with VT experience completed survey with items adapted from related scales. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis. Moreover, the mediation effect was evaluated using Hayes Process of Model 4. Finally, Hayes (2013) bootstrap technique was used to investigate the significance of the mediation effect. Results: Perceived TL-VT and JS-VT were found to be positively associated with OCB-VT. Mediation tests confirmed the relationship between perceived TL-VT and OCB-VT was mediated by JS-VT. Moreover, bootstrap analysis showed that coworkers had the most significant mediating effect on the relationship between perceived TL-VT and OCB-VT, followed by promotion, supervision, and work, while the effect of pay was shown to be insignificant. Conclusion: It was found that JS-VT had a mediating role in the relationship between perceived TL-VT and OCB-VT. Therefore, a good principal leadership could be critical to maintaining both teacher satisfaction and behavior during the COVID-19 crisis, regardless of teachers' actual readiness to overcome barriers associated with virtual teaching.

Character education reinforcement in secondary schools is one of the educational programmes aimed at anticipating the tendency of moral perversion as a result of moral decadence. Various forms of moral deviations that occur among high school students result in them being alienated from life because they conflict with cultural norms, school discipline, and life ethics in society. In this article we aim to discuss the relation of character value reinforcement and the principal's transformational leadership strategy to shape students' characters in a descriptive-critical manner. The objective of this study was investigating school strategies for optimising the implementation of character education reinforcement. In this research we used a qualitative method with a case study design. The data validity measurement was based on the levels of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results emphasise the importance of shaping student character as an anticipatory step to minimise moral distortions among high school students, and the effectiveness of the principal's transformational leadership role in optimising the implementation of education programmes for the strengthening of students' characters in schools.

During the pandemic, organizational effectiveness remains at a very low level. Many universities are underperforming when a pandemic hits a country. When the pandemic subsided, the organization's effectiveness became exciting again This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership and years of service or experience of organizational leaders on organizational effectiveness, both directly and through organizational commitment, as intervening variables. The study adopted a quantitative approach and specifically the correlational verification approach. The study was conducted at the Public and Private SMAs in Samarinda, Indonesia, from January to August 2022. The study population consisted of 254 principals, vice principals and teachers, with a sample size of 145 selected through the proportional random sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using smart PLS and SPSS software. The study findings revealed that there is no significant effect between transformational leadership on organizational effectiveness. The results show that the more experience the leader has, the more effective an organization is. The better the transformational leadership and the longer the experience as a leader, the more effective the institution will be. Organizational commitment does not effectively become a moderator variable in mediating the effect of transformational leadership and experience of leadership on organizational effectiveness.

Teacher creativity is needed to encourage the improvement of the quality of school graduates, so that in the end it will accelerate the achievement of national education goals in Indonesia. This study aims to find strategies and ways to increase teacher creativity to be used as input and recommendations for related parties, namely teachers, school principals, and the office of the ministry of religion. This is done by testing the strength of the relationship between teacher creativity (Y) and transformational leadership (X1), teamwork (X2, and work engagement (X3). This research uses correlational research methods, and is carried out using quantitative methods and data collection through surveys. then explained by statistical analysis, analyzed by correlational analysis and SITOREM analysis. The population of this study were 163 permanent teachers of madrasah tsanawiayah in Madiun City. The research sample of 116 respondents was determined by the Taro Yamane formula, selected using the proportional random sampling method. The results of quantitative research found that transformational leadership that emphasizes idealized influence, intellectual simulation, inspirational motivation, instructional support, individual consideration, and the influence of ethical values can increase teacher creativity. Teamwork that emphasizes group goals, active participation of members, prioritizing togetherness, communicating with each other, complementing each other, and sharing can improve the quality of teacher services. Work engagement that emphasizes active participation in work, competence, importance of work, development opportunities, level of performance, and interest in organizational goals can improve the quality of teacher services.

The study aimed to determine the impact of transformational leadership and integrity on the performance of a company. The research sample was 123 lecturers at As-Syafi'iyah Islamic University, Indonesia. The analysis model of this study was a path analysis. Observation and questionnaires were used to obtain the research data. Teaching effectiveness measures how well educators' instruction aligns with learning objectives and provides the best possible outcomes for students who are taking the course. Hypothesis testing was performed using the t-test. The SPSS software version 25 was applied in statistical calculations. The results showed that transformational leadership and integrity have direct and positive impact on the teaching effectiveness. Transformational leadership has a direct and positive impact on the integrity. It is suggested to implement the better transformational leadership to achieve the better the teaching effectiveness.

Based on the problem that the teacher's commitment to the profession is still not as expected, this study aims to find ways to improve teacher commitment to the profession by examining the influence of transformational leadership, self-efficacy, and job satisfaction. The methodologies used are the Path method and Sitorem method. The study population was 1307 Non-Civil Servant, middle school teachers in Cirebon District, Indonesia with a research sample of 136 teachers. The Non-Civil Servant middle school teachers are teachers who are not paid by the government but by the foundation. The results showed that the Teacher's Commitment to the Professionals could be increased through strengthening Transformational Leadership, Self-Efficacy, and Job Satisfaction. The strengthening of variables is carried out by correcting the weak indicators based on Sitorem's analysis, so that the priority order for handling the improvement of indicators is carried out as follows: 1. Strength of self-confidence, and 2. Announcement of self-confidence for Self-Efficacy variables, 3. Salary received, 4 Promotion, and 5. Supervision of Supervisors for the Job Satisfaction variable, 6. The job itself, 7. Surviving in the Organization, and 8. Establishing Professional Values for the Teacher Commitment variable towards the Profession. This main contribution of our research to provide empirical evidence that the Path Analysis and Sitorem Analysis methods are very good to be used to analysed the factors that influence the strengthening of the Teacher's commitment to his professionalism.

Rooted in both the self-concept based theory of transformational leadership and the conservation of resources (COR) theory, transformational leadership is hypothesized to elicit follower-felt support for excellence and, through it, follower psychological capital (PsyCap), resulting in high follower job performance as well as work engagement. We examined this three-path mediation model with change scores from a two-wave study of 149 Indonesian healthcare workers. When applying structural equation modeling to the change scores, the integrated model was supported. Further cross-lagged analysis showed that transformational leadership had a lagged effect on follower PsyCap and that follower PsyCap had, in turn, a lagged effect on follower job performance. Hence, PsyCap is proposed as a parsimonious element in the self-concept-based theory of transformational leadership. Moreover, the results suggest that the transformational style can be added as a so-called "key" resource to COR's notion of "gain spirals."

Previous studies reveal a gap in literature relating the contribution of personal knowledge management (PKM) at the individual level within organization. In addition, the mediating role of organizational learning in the relationship between transformational leadership on personal knowledge management is less studied. Therefore, this study aims to address the gap by investigating the combined effects of transformational leadership, information and communications technology (ICT) literacy, and organizational learning toward teachers' PKM in the context of school in Indonesia. It is also aimed to explore the role of organizational learning as the mediating variable. We collected questionnaire data from 80 teachers at an international school in Jakarta, Indonesia and used partial least squares structural equation modeling to examine the data. Our findings showed that ICT literacy, transformational leadership, and organizational learning culture positively affect PKM. ICT literacy found to have the biggest impact on the PKM of the teachers. In addition, organizational learning found to mediate the effect of transformational leadership on PKM, even though the increase is not high. These findings provide managerial implications for the school management to improve their ICT literacy by building ICT literacy ecosystem in the school to improve teachers' PKM.

The research focuses on the impact of transformational leadership on the decision to stay mediated by commitment after a court refusal regarding illegal extraordinary congress involving the outsiders of a political party in Indonesia (in this case, it is the Democratic Party currently led by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono), where this phenomenon is classified as a crisis. Theories and the previous literature pointed out that transformational leadership would significantly affect an individual's decision to stay with the institution through commitment. Therefore, this research empirically analyzes the hypotheses using quantitative methods on 349 respondents who are central (DPP) and local (DPD and DPC) active committees of the Democratic Party. Respondents are collected using cluster random sampling. Referring to theories and the previous literature, the latent variables of this research are constructed using dimensions. Transformational leadership (TL) has four dimensions which are charisma (idealized influence), inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual considerations. Commitment has three dimensions which are affective, normative, and sustainable commitments. The decision to stay has two dimensions, which are intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. By using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM–PLS), the research revealed that the direct effect shows that transformational leadership and commitment significantly influence the decision to stay. On the other hand, the indirect effect indicates that commitment significantly mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and the decision to stay. The result indicates strong transformational leadership performed by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono as the chief of the Democratic Party in Indonesia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to analyze the role of transformational leadership on followers' creative performance through pro-growth working environment, entrepreneurial values-based developmental interaction capability, and psychological empowerment in start-up businesses in Indonesia and to test a new pro-growth working environment concept in that model. This study uses a Structural Equation Model (SEM) using data analysis tools, namely WarpPLS. The research design used a survey method, and data collection was carried out using questionnaires sent directly to the research respondents. In this study, the population is start-up business employees in Indonesia. The sampling technique is purposive, and this study's sample is 270 respondents. The results indicate that all the variables significantly influence each other. The existence of transformational leadership, a pro-growth working environment, entrepreneurial values-based development interaction capability, and the right psychological empowerment can affect creative performance to get even better results. This study aimed to determine the level of transformational leadership style, employee job satisfaction, and organizational commitment in pesantren (Islamic boarding school) and assess the role of job satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship between transformational leadership style and organizational commitment. The study used the quantitative method by surveying 556 educators from each Darunnajah Islamic boarding school branch in Indonesia. Information examination utilized numerous relapse investigation to test the inquire about theory and progressive relapse examination to test the intervention speculation. The study found that transformational authority, representative work fulfillment, and organizational commitment at Islamic boarding schools were more than direct. This study was conducted to determine the Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) of correctional officers at the Super Maximum-Security Prison in Indonesia which is influenced by Transformational Leadership (TL) either directly or indirectly through Affective Organizational Commitment (AOC), Job Satisfaction (JS) and Job Self-Efficacy (JSE). This research was conducted on 224 prison officers as a sample size. Data was collected by means of a questionnaire distributed via Google Form. Robustness was built in two stages; the first stage was through a try out of research instruments and the second stage was through data collection which was done with the time lagged method. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of AMOS 24 software. The results of this study indicate that triple mediation consisting of AOC, JS and JSE fully mediates the effect of TL on OCB. The novelty of this research lies in the role of triple mediation as the focuses of the study. Furthermore, the triple mediation has been proven to fully mediate the effect of TL on OCB thus may serve as empirical evidence that contribute to theoretical and practical developments in the fields of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. Objective: In today's competitive business environment, a start-up must attract and retain employees with a high level of creativity. This study investigates the effects of intrinsic motivation, dimensions of transformational leadership, and personal factors on employee creativity. In addition, the role of the physical space of the workplace in moderating the relationship is also investigated. Design/Methods/Approach: This study employs a quantitative strategy using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method for data analysis with the assistance of SmartPLS. Based on the findings, we know that 101 employees of Indonesian start-ups with a shorter history of employment than a year participated in this study. Findings: Inspiring motivation, idealized influence, intellectual stimulation, and personal consideration were all found to increase employees' inventiveness. However, results did not improve when the physical work environment was moderated between the four dependent variables: inspirational motivation, idealized influence, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration of employees' creativity. Originality: A leader's idealized influence and intellectual stimulation on their employees is the dimension of transformational leadership used in this study. Practical/Policy implication: This study's significance is that it contributes new knowledge to the literature on the factors that affect employee creativity in Indonesia. PT Pegadaian (Persero) is one of financial institution in the form of channeling funds to the public on the basis of the law of pawning. PT Pegadaian (Persero) Regional Office VII Denpasar in 2018 - 2020 has a low KPI value in the last 3 years compared to other regional offices throughout Indonesia. The decline in employee performance can be influenced by several factors, including leadership, innovative behavior and creative self-efficacy. This study was conducted to determine the role of creative self-efficacy in mediating the effect of transformational leadership and innovative behavior on employee performance. The sampling technique used was proportionate random sampling as many as 227 respondents were employees of PT Pegadaian (Persero) Regional Office VII Denpasar. Data were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The results shows creative self-efficacy, transformational leadership and innovative behavior have a positive and significant effect on employee performance (t statistic > 1.96). The results of the mediation analysis showed that creative self-efficacy was not able to mediate transformational leadership on employee performance (18.3%) but was able to partially mediate the effect of innovative behavior on employee performance (41.7%). This research is expected to be empirical evidence for future research and to be able to enrich the theory of social exchange, transformational leadership, innovative behavior and creative self-efficacy. Tourism industry has occupied a strategic position in the country's economic growth. The factors that trigger the high performance of companies engaged in this industry are very crucial. The purpose of this study is to test the correlation of transformational leadership (TL), political skill (PS), organizational culture (OC), and employee performance (EP), and to investigate the role of OC as a mediation variable. The samples consisted of 110 respondents from Tourism Company in Indonesia. The sample was determined by Slovin formula. The data were collected through questionnaire instruments. The current study employed quantitative method. To test the hypotheses, PLS (Partial Least Square) was applied in analyzing the data. This study found that TL and OC, PS and OC and EP were positive and significance. The mediation test also justified that OC could mediate TL on EP and PS on EP. However, it is also indicated that TL did not affect EP. This study has the important implications for managers such as encouraging high EP in the tourism sector by strengthening OC (such as adaptive, collaborative, flexible, and team oriented), by enhancing the PS (such as understanding others, having high social skill, and increasing an ability to influence others). This paper aimed to examine the effect of transformational leadership, energizing organizational learning and teamwork efficacy on improving Indonesia community-based eco-tourism organization performance. A field survey was conducted in the Tasikmalaya tourism sector. A total of 205 eco-tourism workers were surveyed to obtain data. This study offered a conceptual model for variable proposed to improve the eco-tourism community performance. The findings show that transformational leadership and energizing the organizational learning process positively affects organizational performance in the eco-tourism community. The author argues that energizing the organizational learning process mediates the relation between transformational leadership and organizational performance. This study addressed gaps in transformational leadership literature and practices by examining the interactions between energizing organizational learning process and eco-tourism workers teamwork's efficacy. Public sector organizations have been facing a dynamic environment and the shift in global economic pressure, while serving the public with new and/or better services under limited budgets. Organizational innovation is believed to be able to encourage increased organizational performance. Based on the Resource Based View, New Public Management theory, and Innovation System Theory, this study aims to analyze the antecedents and consequences of organizational innovation in the public sector. Data were collected from organization units of the Central Bureau of Statistics throughout Indonesia with 125 sample units by self-enumeration and the sampling technique was purposive sampling. The results showed that the internal control system and organizational culture had a significant effect on organizational innovation, and organizational innovation has a positive effect on organizational performance. This study cannot prove the effect of transformational leadership on organizational innovation. Besides that, the study also proves that organizational innovation is an intervening variable in the relationship between internal control systems and organizational culture on organizational performance.
