This article describes a new method for evaluation of radial crush strength of paper cores. Based on the theory of multilayered composites, a mathematical model has been developed to calculate the value of destructive force during radial crushing of spirally shaped paper cores whose layers are made of different materials. Ant-inspired metaheuristic algorithms known as ant colony optimization (ACO) offer an approach that has the ability to solve complex problems in both discrete and continuous domains. ACOs have gained significant attention in the field of water resources management, since many problems in this domain are non-linear, complex, challenging and also demand reliable solutions. The aim of this study is to critically review the applications of ACO algorithms specifically in the field of hydrology and hydrogeology, which include areas such as reservoir operations, water distribution systems, coastal aquifer management, long-term groundwater monitoring, hydraulic parameter estimation, and urban drainage and storm network design. Research articles, peer-reviewed journal papers and conference papers on ACO were critically analyzed to identify the arguments and research findings to delineate the scope for future research and to identify the drawbacks of ACO. Implementation of ACO variants is also discussed, as hybrid and modified ACO techniques prove to be more efficient over traditional ACO algorithms. These algorithms facilitate formulation of near-optimal solutions, and they also help improve cost efficiency. Although many studies are attempting to overcome the difficulties faced in the application of ACO, some parts of the mathematical analysis remain unsolved. It is also observed that despite its popularity, studies have not been successful in incorporating the uncertainty in ACOs and the problems of dimensionality, convergence and stability are yet to be resolved. For decades, historians have debated the origins of Einstein's special theory of relativity. The derivation of the Lorentz Transformations given by Einstein in 1905 is studied in detail; and it is found to be mathematically inconsistent, and thus in error. Therefore, he must have been aware of the transformations at the time of writing the paper, which is an extremely minority opinion in the general literature. His attempt to rederive them starting from the synchronization condition is incorrect. Though the derivation is flawed, it does not affect many of the concepts he put forth that flow from the Lorentz Transformations. The observations given here will help resolve a long-standing dispute over the priority of the discovery of various parts of the theory. In this short paper, we look into a conclusion drawn by Alzalg (J Optim Theory Appl 169:32-49, 2016). We think the conclusion drawn in the paper is incorrect by pointing out three things. First, we provide a counterexample that the proposed inner product does not satisfy bilinearity. Secondly, we offer an argument why a pth-order cone cannot be self-dual under any reasonable inner product structure on $$\mathbb {R}^n$$ . Thirdly, even under the assumption that all elements operator commute, the inner product becomes an official inner product and the arbitrary-order cone can be shown as a symmetric cone, we think this condition is still unreasonable and very stringent so that the result can only be applied to very few cases. The use of the efficient score statistic in sequential monitoring procedures is reviewed and analysed. Various models that arise in applications are considered. The efficient score vector has the same optimality property as the generalized likelihood ratio, but it has a simple-structure requiring fewer estimations, and this is especially important when the data have a complicated structure. Furthermore, with the efficient score vector it is possible to detect which component of the parameter vector is different from the hypothetical or the historical value. The article describes a study of the foodborne transmission mechanisms for norovirus. It was undertaken for the U.K. Food Standards Agency and received the System Dynamics Society's 2020 "System Dynamics Applications Award". The article opens with descriptions of norovirus, the organisational context and the aims of the study. The first phase involved the construction of a large, fully formulated SD simulation model which included person‐to‐person mechanisms and, newly built, food‐related mechanisms for norovirus transmission. The group modelling process and the model structure are described. The model's existence demonstrated that enough was known about foodborne mechanisms to create an explicit and carefully documented representation that specialists recognised, understood, and accepted. Additionally, a framework for analysing the model's parameters—some currently unknown—helped organise FSA thinking on future research and potential policy levers. A second phase used mathematical analysis of a simplified SD model to assess the relative scale of the foodborne effects. In terms of contributions, this generated insights into possible sources of seasonality and insights into whether the most effective leverage points in the system lay solely within the remit of the FSA or were also within the remits of other government departments. We have studied initial value problems for Caputo fractional differential equations with singular nonlinearities involving the p-Laplacian operator. We have given a precise mathematical analysis of the equivalence of the fractional differential equations and Volterra integral equations studied in this paper. A theorem for the global existence of the solution was proven. In addition, an example was given at the end of the article as an application of the results found in this paper. In this paper, we state that generalized convexity, invex sets, and the Fr'echet differentiability assumption associated with curvilinear integral type functionals represent some necessary and sufficient mathematical tools for establishing various connections between the solutions of some robust (weak) vector commanded variational inequalities and (weak, proper) robust efficient solutions of the corresponding multi-objective variational control problem. Agriculture was and remains the support of human existence, representing the backbone of the Romanian rural economy. The gross domestic product represents a macroeconomic indicator of results, being the consequence of the efficient use of resources. In this context, the authors analyze the place that agriculture holds in achieving the gross domestic product in Romania compared to the European Union, as well as its dynamics. In this sense, the share of resources in the formation of the gross domestic product in the period 2000-2022 is presented. The main research methods used for this work are: analysis, synthesis, comparison and mathematical analysis. From the analysis carried out, conclusive ideas emerge, and the article becomes even more suggestive, in that it is accompanied by tables synthesized by the authors and relevant graphics that highlight and support the assessments that the authors make in the content of this article. At the end of the paper, the authors emphasize the fact that the GDP is the most complex indicator that reflects the transformations that the Romanian economy has gone through in recent years. From the point of view of the use of resources, it can be seen that the share of the agricultural sector has registered a downward evolution, which can be largely explained by the increase in the importance of industry and the service sector in the overall national economy. For 1 < p ≤ 1 + 2/d, the nonexistence of asymptotically free solutions for the nonlinear Schrödinger system was proved based on mathematical analysis and scattering theory methods. The novelty of this paper was to give the proof of pseudo-conformal identity on the nonlinear Schrödinger system. The present results improved and complemented these of Bisognin, Sepúlveda, and Vera(Appl. Numer. The Internet of Things (IoT) is the underlying technology that has enabled connecting daily apparatus to the Internet and enjoying the facilities of smart services. IoT marketing is experiencing an impressive 16.7% growth rate and is a nearly USD 300.3 billion market. These eye-catching figures have made it an attractive playground for cybercriminals. IoT devices are built using resource-constrained architecture to offer compact sizes and competitive prices. As a result, integrating sophisticated cybersecurity features is beyond the scope of the computational capabilities of IoT. All of these have contributed to a surge in IoT intrusion. This paper presents an LSTM-based Intrusion Detection System (IDS) with a Dynamic Access Control (DAC) algorithm that not only detects but also defends against intrusion. This novel approach has achieved an impressive 97.16% validation accuracy. Unlike most of the IDSs, the model of the proposed IDS has been selected and optimized through mathematical analysis. Additionally, it boasts the ability to identify a wider range of threats (14 to be exact) compared to other IDS solutions, translating to enhanced security. Furthermore, it has been fine-tuned to strike a balance between accurately flagging threats and minimizing false alarms. Its impressive performance metrics (precision, recall, and F1 score all hovering around 97%) showcase the potential of this innovative IDS to elevate IoT security. The proposed IDS boasts an impressive detection rate, exceeding 98%. This high accuracy instills confidence in its reliability. The aim of this paper is to discuss the folding of Cayley graphs of finite group. We prove that, for any finite group G, |G| = n and H is a subgroup of G. Then Cayley graph r = Cay(G,S) of G with respect to S = H\{1G} can be folded into a complete graph Kr where r = |H|. Hence every Cayley graph Τ = Cay(G, S) of valency n -- 1 can not be folded. Also every Cayley graph r = Cay(G, S) of valency one can be folded and r = Cay(G, S), where S is generating set, every elements in it is self inverse and |S| = ½|G|, can be folded to an edge. Fuzzy logic is becoming one of the most-influential fields of modern mathematics with applications that impact not only other sciences, but society in general. This newly found interest in fuzzy logic is in part due to the crucial role it plays in the development of artificial intelligence. As a result, new tools and practices for the development of the above-mentioned field are in high demand. This is one of the issues this paper was composed to address. To be more specific, a sizable part of fuzzy logic is the study of fuzzy connectives. However, the current method used to generalize them is restricted to the use of basic automorphisms, which hinders the creation of new fuzzy connectives. For this reason, in this paper, a new method of generalization is conceived of that aims to generalize the fuzzy connectives using polynomial automorphism functions instead. The creation of these automorphisms is achieved through numerical analysis, an endeavor that is supported with programming applications that, using mathematical modeling, validate and visualize the research. Furthermore, the automorphisms satisfy all the necessary criteria that have been established for use in the generalization process and, consequently, are used to successfully generalize fuzzy connectives. In our paper, we propose a generalized version of the Alternating Projections Digital Hard Successive Interference Cancellation (AP-HSIC) algorithm that is capable of decoding any order of constellation M in an M-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) system. Our approach applies to Rayleigh deep-fading Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) channels with high-level Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN). It can handle various destructive phenomena without restricting the number of antenna arrays in the transmitter/receiver. Importantly, it does not rely on closed-loop MIMO feedback or the need for Channel-State Information Transmission (CSIT). We have demonstrated the effectiveness of our approach and provided a Bit Error Rate (BER) analysis for 16-, 32-, and 64-QAM modulation systems. Real-time simulations showcase the differences and advantages of our proposed algorithm compared to the Multi-Group Space-Time Coding (MGSTC) decoding algorithm and the Lagrange Multipliers Hard Successive Interference Cancellation (LM-HSIC) algorithm, which we have also developed here. Additionally, our paper includes a mathematical analysis of the LM-HSIC algorithm. The AP-HSIC algorithm is not only effective and fast in decoding, including interference cancellation computational feedback, but it can also be integrated with any Linear Processing Complex Orthogonal Design (LPCOD) technique, including Complex Orthogonal Design (COD) schemes such as high-order Orthogonal Space–Time Block Code (OSTBC) with high-order QAM symbols. The history of variational calculus dates back to the late 17th century when Johann Bernoulli presented his famous problem concerning the brachistochrone curve. Since then, variational calculus has developed intensively as many problems in physics and engineering are described by equations from this branch of mathematical analysis. This paper presents two non-classical, distinct methods for solving such problems. The first method is based on the differential transform method (DTM), which seeks an analytical solution in the form of a certain functional series. The second method, on the other hand, is based on the physics-informed neural network (PINN), where artificial intelligence in the form of a neural network is used to solve the differential equation. In addition to describing both methods, this paper also presents numerical examples along with a comparison of the obtained results.Comparingthe two methods, DTM produced marginally more accurate results than PINNs. While PINNs exhibited slightly higher errors, their performance remained commendable. The key strengths of neural networks are their adaptability and ease of implementation. The main contribution of this paper is to present a simple algorithm that theoretically and numerically assesses the switching angles of an inverter operated with the SPWM technique. This technique is the most widely used for eliminating harmonics in DC-AC converters for powering motors, renewable energy applications, household appliances, etc. Unlike conventional implementations of the SPWM technique based on the analog or digital comparison of a sinusoidal signal with a triangular signal, this paper mathematically performs this comparison. It proposes a simple solution to solve the transcendental equations arising from the mathematical analysis numerically. The technique is validated by calculating the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the generated signal theoretically and numerically, and the results indicate that the calculated angles produce the same distribution of harmonics calculated analytically and numerically. This paper explores the Apéry-like series and demonstrates the derivation of closed-form expressions using fractional calculus. We consider a variety of Apéry-like functions, which were categorized by their functional forms and coefficients by applying the Riemann–Liouville fractional integral and derivative to examine their properties across various domains. The study focuses on establishing rigorous mathematical frameworks that unveil new insights into the behaviors of these series, contributing to a deeper understanding of number theory and mathematical analysis. Key results include proofs of convergence and divergence within specified intervals and the derivation of closed-form solutions through fractional integration and differentiation. This paper also introduces a method aimed at conjecturing mathematical constants through continued fractions as an application of our results. The aim of this paper is to study existence results for a singular problem involving the p-biharmonic operator and the Hardy potential. More precisely, by combining monotonicity arguments with the variational method, the existence of solutions is established. Traditionally, "the operator calculus of Born and Wiener" has been considered one of the four formulations of quantum mechanics that existed in 1926. The present paper reviews the operator calculus as applied by Max Born and Norbert Wiener during the last months of 1925 and the early months of 1926 and its connections with the rise of the new quantum theory. Despite the relevance of this operator calculus, Born–Wiener's joint contribution to the topic is generally bypassed in historical accounts of quantum mechanics. In this study, we analyse the paper that epitomises the contribution, and we explain the main reasons for the apparent lack of interest in Born and Wiener's work. In this paper, we consider homogeneous quasideviation means generated by real functions (defined on (0, ∞)) which are concave around the point 1 and possess certain upper estimates near 0 and ∞. It turns out that their concave envelopes can be completely determined. Using this description, we establish su˚cient conditions for the Hardy property of the homogeneous quasideviation mean and we also furnish an upper estimates for its Hardy constant. Climate change has become a critical global issue and challenge, with significant implications for financial enterprises as an integral part of economic activities. A thorough analysis of the impact of climate change on the high-quality development of financial enterprises is of great importance for financial sustainability. This paper first conducts an indepth mathematical analysis of the intrinsic mechanisms through which climate change affects the high-quality development of financial enterprises by establishing a game theory model. Secondly, using data from listed companies for the years 2000-2020, an econometric model is constructed to empirically examine the relationship between climate change and the high-quality development of financial enterprises. The research findings demonstrate that climate change significantly inhibits the highquality development of financial enterprises, as evidenced by robust results obtained through various methods such as data truncation, variable substitution, and changes in sample periods. Furthermore, this study addresses the endogeneity of the regression model using propensity score matching (PSM), instrumental variable methods, and system generalized method of moments (GMM). Additionally, climate change impacts the high-quality development of financial enterprises through technological innovation. Given the backdrop of climate change, understanding the relationship and logic between climate change and the high-quality development of financial enterprises and discerning the channels and mechanisms through which climate change affects their development are crucial. In this two-paper series, we prove the invariance of the Gibbs measure for a threedimensional wave equation with a Hartree nonlinearity. The novelty lies in the singularity of the Gibbs measure with respect to the Gaussian free field. In this paper, we focus on the dynamical aspects of our main result. The local theory is based on a paracontrolled approach, which combines ingredients from dispersive equations, harmonic analysis, and random matrix theory. Today, because infectious diseases have a large impact on people, control methods for all infectious diseases are crucial. In this paper, we propose a SIQR model with Crowley-Martin type incidence rate and saturated treatment. We have incorporated precautionary measures taken by the population through the saturated incidence rate. Screening of individuals who have come into contact with infected individuals is modelled. Thus, we explore a four-dimensional mathematical model to study the dynamics of the infectious diseases and their management. Stability and bifurcation analysis ofthe system is done. The Mensitivity analysis of all parameters in relation to the basic reproduction number has been performed and the theoretical results have been validated using numerical simulation. Mathematical results in this paper suggest that both government interventions and individual efforts must be incorporated to achieve better control of emerging infectious diseases in the population. This paper focuses on the projective Riemann quadratic (PR-quadratic) Finsler metrics, which are variant of the Finsler metrics in Finsler geometry. The paper introduces a special class of PR-quadratic Finsler metrics, called SPR-quadratic Finsler metrics, which is closed under projective changes with respect to a fixed volume form on M. This class contains the class of Douglas-Weyl metrics and is a subset of the class of Weyl metrics. The paper shows that any SPR-quadratic Finsler metric has a scalar flag curvature and a PR-quadratic Finsler metric has a scalar curvature if and only if it is of SPR-quadratic type. The results presented in this paper contribute to a deeper understanding of the behavior of PR-quadratic Finsler metrics and provide insights into the geometric properties of these metrics.
