Epoxy resin impregnated paper (RIP) bushings are widely used as transformer bushings and wall bushings, but this type of bushing is easy to be dampened. In order to study the effect of moisture on the bushings' insulation performance, a test device was established to simulate the moisture absorption process in the air or N2 gas. Based on the frequency-domain dielectric spectroscopy (FDS) method, FDS curves that indicate the dielectric loss factor (tan δ) and capacitance (C) under different frequencies were tested and analysed. The results demonstrated that the FDS curve moves to the high frequency direction with the increase of the moisture content, and there exist minus tan δ and a negative peak in low-frequency band. Since the moisture content is much lower than in the air, tan δ and C under power frequency of the bushing almost unchanged in the N2 gas. However, the tan δ under 0.1 Hz increases sharply with the increase of trace moisture, and the higher moisture content, the greater increase rate. A damp diagnosis method for RIP bushings is proposed based on the FDS curves' frequency translation characteristics and tan δ variation law. To optimize the insulation design of high-temperature superconductivity (HTS) cable, the multilayer wrapping cable insulation properties in the liquid nitrogen should be studied. In this paper, we investigated the breakdown properties of multilayer wrapping of cable insulation in liquid nitrogen. AC and dc breakdown tests of a minimodel cable with an insulation floor composed of polypropylene laminate paper (PPLP), PPLP/100HN (DuPont polyimide film), PPLP/100CR (DuPont polyimide film), and PPLP/150FCR019 (DuPont polyimide film) and of singer-layer sheets, including PPLP, 100HN, 100CR, and 150FCR019, respectively, were performed in liquid nitrogen. The breakdown characteristics of the sheets and model cable insulation consisting of PPLP and composite insulation schemes according to the arrangement of PPLP/HN, PPLP/100CR, and PPLP/150FCR019 were compared. For the sheets, the ac breakdown strength of 100HN is greater than that of 100CR; this may be because there are large amounts of organic-inorganic interface in 100CR. The dc breakdown strength of 100CR is greater than that of 100HN, which may be because the space charge of 100CR homogenizes the electric field. For the minimodel cable insulation, the dc and ac breakdown strengths of the composite insulation in which the third layer of wrapping tape insulation material was composed of three layers of 100HN, which is overlapped completely, are greater than those of the insulation consisting of PPLP and other composite insulations. Flexible supercapacitor with all components monolithically integrated into an on-chip paper substrate demonstrates excellent electrochemical and mechanical performance. Supercapacitors are drawn with a conductive ink of nitrogen-doped carbon nanotube and graphene ink, which has been prepared without assistance of surfactant. The engineering strategy is intrinsically scalable toward flexible paper devices. We demonstrate a facile strategy to fabricate flexible paper-based supercapacitors, in which all the components are integrated onto a paper with poly (vinyl alcohol)/H 3 PO 4 as the gel electrolyte. The electrodes are drawn on both sides of the paper in a mirror image with a surfactant-free ink of nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes and graphene. The resultant supercapacitors present a high volumetric capacitance of 0.45 F cm−3 and an energy density of 40.0 μWh cm−3. In this work, we report a rational design and facile synthetic process for the construction of a 3-dimensional N, S co-doped reduced holey graphene oxide/carbonized cellulose paper as interlayer in Li–S batteries. The interlayer has a labyrinth-like structure with plenty of nanosized holes to achieve the permselectivity for Li ions and effective intercept for polysulfides. The coin cell with the interlayer shows a high initial discharge capacity of 1263.5 mAh/g at 0.2 C, a low capacity fading rate of 0.0487% per cycle for 300 cycles at 1 C, and an excellent rate performance of 864.6 mAh/g at 2 C. Moreover, this cell also has excellent anti-self-discharge property and a high areal capacity of 6.1 mA h/cm2 at a sulfur loading of 8.1 mg/cm2 using aluminum foil as the current collector. Thus, this work suggests the permselective and multifunctional interlayer as a practical and effective strategy for the application in the high-performance Li–S battery. The labyrinth-like N and S co-doped reduced holey graphene oxide/carbonized cellulose paper, as the interlayer of lithium-sulfur batteries, achieved the excellent permselectivity toward Li ions and effective intercept toward polysulfides and exhibited significant cycle stability, anti-self-discharge property and a high areal capacity.
