We examined the performance of coefficient alpha and its potential competitors (ordinal alpha, omega total, Revelle's omega total [omega RT], omega hierarchical [omega h], greatest lower bound [GLB], and coefficient "H") with continuous and discrete data having different types of non-normality. Results showed the estimation bias was acceptable for continuous data with varying degrees of non-normality when the scales were strong (high loadings). This bias, however, became quite large with moderate strength scales and increased with increasing non-normality. For Likert-type scales, other than omega h, most indices were acceptable with non-normal data having at least four points, and more points were better. For different exponential distributed data, omega RT and GLB were robust, whereas the bias of other indices for binomial-beta distribution was generally large. An examination of an authentic large-scale international survey suggested that its items were at worst moderately non-normal; hence, non-normality was not a big concern. We recommend (a) the demand for continuous and normally distributed data for alpha may not be necessary for less severely non-normal data; (b) for severely non-normal data, we should have at least four scale points, and more points are better; and (c) there is no single golden standard for all data types, other issues such as scale loading, model structure, or scale length are also important.

Fault diagnosis of wind turbines has always been a challenging problem due to their complexity and harsh working conditions. Although data-mining-based fault diagnosis methods can accurately and efficiently diagnose potential faults, the visibility is extremely poor. In this paper, digital twin technology is introduced into the fault diagnosis of wind turbine drive train systems, and a wind turbine drive train fault diagnosis method based on digital twin technology is proposed, which monitors and simulates the actual operating condition in real-time by establishing a digital twin model of the wind turbine drive train. In addition, an improved variational modal decomposition combined with particle swarm optimization least squares support vector machine (IVMD-PSO-LSSVM) fault diagnosis method is proposed, which not only improves the accuracy of fault diagnosis but also effectively shortens the diagnosis time and strengthens the response speed of the system. Finally, a digital twin system for condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of wind turbine drive trains is developed based on the Unity 3D platform. Experiments show that the proposed IVMD-PSO-LSSVM can accurately identify fault types with an accuracy rate of 99.1%, which is an improvement of 3.4% compared to before. The proposed digital twin model can be used for real-time monitoring of wind turbine vibration data and provide a more intuitive real-time simulation of the wind turbine's operating status. The application of blockchain technology in industrial product quality traceability is analyzed to construct a new model of product quality traceability that is mainly based on blockchain technology and supplemented by an identity system. The blockchain-enabled overall technical architecture of an industrial product quality traceability system is explored, and a blockchain-based industrial product full life cycle information traceability system is constructed. First, the weights of the information indicators of different links of the industrial equipment information traceability system were calculated using the EAHP hierarchical analysis method. The manufacturing link had the largest weight, with a value of 18.8%. Second, the system's functional module design is based on the weights. We designed and developed the industrial product information traceability platform based on the hybrid blockchain chain structure of private chain + alliance chain. Finally, a manufacturing enterprise in the Xinjiang region is taken as the research object, query validation is carried out for the products produced by the enterprise, and the average query time of the system is measured to be 65.376 ms. It can meet the traceability needs of consumers and enterprise users. There is an ongoing debate about whether and how anxiety level affects behavioral performance in risk and/or ambiguous decision-making. According to the literature, we suggest that gender difference might be a confounding factor that has contributed to heterogeneous findings in previous studies. To examine this idea, 135 students who participated in this study were divided into six groups according to their gender (male/female) and trait anxiety level (high/medium/low; measured by the Trait form of Spielberger's State-Trait Anxiety Inventory). All groups finished the Iowa Gambling Task (IGT) for ambiguous decision-making, and the Game of Dice Task (GDT) for risk decision-making. Behavioral results revealed that the IGT but not the GDT showed an interaction between anxiety and gender. Specifically, men outperformed women in the IGT, but only when their trait anxiety levels were low. Meanwhile, the GDT showed a main effect of anxiety grouping, such that low anxious participants were more risk-seeking than their medium anxious counterparts. These findings indicate that gender selectively modulates the influence of anxiety on ambiguous decision-making, but not risk decision-making. The theoretical and practical implications of the current findings are discussed.
