The point cloud segmentation method plays an important role in practical applications, such as remote sensing, mobile robots, and 3D modeling. However, there are still some limitations to the current point cloud data segmentation method when applied to large-scale scenes. Therefore, this paper proposes an adaptive clustering segmentation method. In this method, the threshold for clustering points within the point cloud is calculated using the characteristic parameters of adjacent points. After completing the preliminary segmentation of the point cloud, the segmentation results are further refined according to the standard deviation of the cluster points. Then, the cluster points whose number does not meet the conditions are further segmented, and, finally, scene point cloud data segmentation is realized. To test the superiority of this method, this study was based on point cloud data from a park in Guilin, Guangxi, China. The experimental results showed that this method is more practical and efficient than other methods, and it can effectively segment all ground objects and ground point cloud data in a scene. Compared with other segmentation methods that are easily affected by parameters, this method has strong robustness. In order to verify the universality of the method proposed in this paper, we test a public data set provided by ISPRS. Due to the unpredictable output characteristics of distributed photovoltaics, their integration into the grid can lead to voltage fluctuations within the regional power grid. Therefore, the development of spatial-temporal coordination and optimization control methods for distributed photovoltaics and energy storage systems is of utmost importance in various scenarios. This paper approaches the issue from the perspective of spatiotemporal forecasting of distributed photovoltaic (PV) generation and proposes a Temporal Convolutional-Long Short-Term Memory predictionmodel that combines TemporalConvolutionalNetworks (TCN) and Long Short-TermMemory (LSTM). To begin with, an analysis of the spatiotemporal distribution patterns of PV generation is conducted, and outlier data is handled using the 3s rule. Subsequently, a novel approach that combines temporal convolution and LSTM networks is introduced, with TCN extracting spatial features and LSTM capturing temporal features. Finally, a real spatiotemporal dataset fromGansu, China, is established to compare the performance of the proposed network against other models. The results demonstrate that the model presented in this paper exhibits the highest predictive accuracy, with a single-step Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 1.782 and an average Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 3.72 for multi-step predictions. Accurate prediction of sea level height is critically important for the government in assessing sea level risk in coastal areas. However, due to the nonlinear, time-varying and highly uncertain characteristics of sea level change data, sea level prediction is challenging. To improve the accuracy of sea level prediction, this paper uses a new swarm intelligence algorithm named the sparrow search algorithm (SSA), which can imitate the foraging behavior and antipredation behavior of sparrows, to determine optimal solutions. To avoid the algorithm falling into a local optimal situation, this paper integrates the sine–cosine algorithm and the Cauchy variation strategy into the SSA to obtain an algorithm named the SCSSA. The SCSSA is used to optimize the parameter values of the CNN-BiLSTM (convolutional neural network combined with bidirectional long short-term memory neural network) model; finally, a combined neural network model (named SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM) is proposed. In this paper, the time series data of seven tidal stations located in coastal China are used for experimental analysis. First, the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model is compared with the CNN-BiLSTM model to predict the time series data of SHANWEI Station. With respect to the training and test sets of data, the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model outperforms the other models on all the evaluation metrics. In addition, the remaining six tide station datasets and five neural network models, including the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model, are used to further study the performance of the proposed prediction model. Four evaluation indices including the root mean squared error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and coefficient of determination (R2) are adopted. For six stations, the RMSE, MAE, MAPE and R2 of SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model are ranged from 20.9217 ~ 27.8427 mm, 9.4770 ~ 17.8603 mm, 0.1322% ~ 0.2482% and 0.9119 ~ 0.9759, respectively. The experimental analysis results show that the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model makes effective predictions at all stations, and the prediction performance is better than that of the other models. Even though the combination of SCSSA algorithm may increase the complexity of the model, indeed the proposed model is a new prediction method with good accuracy and robustness for predicting sea level change. Accurate prediction of regional terrestrial water storage change (TWSA) is of great significance for water resources planning and management, and early warning of extreme climate disasters. Aiming at the problem that the conventional methods on prediction of TWSA time series are difficult to be accurate, the six typical regions are selected in China as examples, including the upper reaches of the Yangtze River (UYR), the southwest region (SWR), the Liaohe River Basin (LRB), the North China Plain (NCP), the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP), and the Pearl River Basin (PRB). The mascon product from GRACE/GRACE-FO provided by CSR is used to extract TWSA time series in six typical areas. The improved Back Propagation (BP) neural network, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network and the latest Bidirectional LSTM (BiLSTM-attention) neural network model based on attention mechanism are proposed to predict and analyze the regional TWSA. In the experiment, the selection of the optimal model parameters such as the number of hidden layer nodes and the number of hidden units of the neural network model is tested and analyzed in detail. Meanwhile, the model prediction results are compared with the traditional least squares method and random forest (RF) prediction method. The root mean square error (RMSE), determination coefficient (R2), Nash–Sutcliffe efficiency coefficient (NSE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) were used to evaluate the accuracy of the predicted results. The results show that the improved BP, LSTM and Bi-LSTM-attention neural network models all achieve higher prediction accuracy in UYR and SWR areas. RMSE is less than 2.641 cm, R2 is as high as 0.8 or more, NSE is above 0.6, and MAPE is within 0.1. Compared with the least square method, the RMSE of the predicted results from three neural network decreased by 0.998 cm, 0.700 cm and 0.7563 on average, and the R2 increased by 81.75%, 69.89% and 72% on average. Compared with RFML method, the RMSE from three neural network is reduced by 0.601 cm, 0.316 cm and 0.360, and R2 is increased by 38.20%, 24.60% and 27.06% on average. NSE and RMSE are improved to varying degrees in the above regions. It shows that the improved BP, LSTM and BiLSTM-attention model used can effectively predict TWSA. Wind turbine energy generators operate in a variety of environments and often under harsh operational conditions, which can result in the mechanical failure of wind turbines. In order to ensure the efficient operation of wind turbines, the detection of any abnormality in the mechanics is particularly important. In this paper, a method for detecting abnormalities in the bearings of wind turbine energy generators, based on the cascade deep learning model, is proposed. First, data on the mechanics of wind turbine generators were collected, and the correlation between the data was studied in order to select the parameters related to the bearing temperature. Then, the logical relationship between the observation parameters and the target parameters was established based on a one-dimensional convolutional neural network (CNN) and a long short-term memory (LSTM) network, and the difference between the predicted temperature and the actual temperature was assessed using the root mean square error evaluation model. Finally, a numerical example was used to verify the operational data from a wind farm unit in northwest China. The results show that the CNN-LSTM model proposed in this paper can detect abnormalities earlier in the state of the main bearing than the LSTM model, and the CNN-LSTM model can detect abnormalities in the main bearing that the LSTM network cannot find. There are two technical challenges in predicting slope deformation. The first one is the random displacement, which could not be decomposed and predicted by numerically resolving the observed accumulated displacement and time series of a landslide. The second one is the dynamic evolution of a landslide, which could not be feasibly simulated simply by traditional prediction models. In this paper, a dynamic model of displacement prediction is introduced for composite landslides based on a combination of empirical mode decomposition with soft screening stop criteria (SSSC-EMD) and deep bidirectional long short-term memory (DBi-LSTM) neural network. In the proposed model, the time series analysis and SSSC-EMD are used to decompose the observed accumulated displacements of a slope into three components, viz. trend displacement, periodic displacement, and random displacement. Then, by analyzing the evolution pattern of a landslide and its key factors triggering landslides, appropriate influencing factors are selected for each displacement component, and DBi-LSTM neural network to carry out multi-data-driven dynamic prediction for each displacement component. An accumulated displacement prediction has been obtained by a summation of each component. For accuracy verification and engineering practicability of the model, field observations from two known landslides in China, the Xintan landslide and the Bazimen landslide were collected for comparison and evaluation. The case study verified that the model proposed in this paper can better characterize the "stepwise" deformation characteristics of a slope. As compared with long short-term memory (LSTM) neural network, support vector machine (SVM), and autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model, DBi-LSTM neural network has higher accuracy in predicting the periodic displacement of slope deformation, with the mean absolute percentage error reduced by 3.063%, 14.913%, and 13.960% respectively, and the root mean square error reduced by 1.951 mm, 8.954 mm and 7.790 mm respectively. Conclusively, this model not only has high prediction accuracy but also is more stable, which can provide new insight for practical landslide prevention and control engineering. Wind power generation is a renewable energy source, and its power output is influenced by multiple factors such as wind speed, direction, meteorological conditions, and the characteristics of wind turbines. Therefore, accurately predicting wind power is crucial for the grid operation and maintenance management of wind power plants. This paper proposes a hybrid model to improve the accuracy of wind power prediction. Accurate wind power forecasting is critical for the safe operation of power systems. To improve the accuracy of wind power prediction, this paper proposes a hybrid model incorporating variational modal decomposition (VMD), a Sparrow Search Algorithm (SSA), and a temporal-convolutional-network-based bi-directional gated recurrent unit (TCN-BiGRU). The model first uses VMD to break down the raw power data into several modal components, and then it builds an SSA-TCN-BIGRU model for each component for prediction, and finally, it accumulates all the predicted components to obtain the wind power prediction results. The proposed short-term wind power prediction model was validated using measured data from a wind farm in China. The proposed VMD-SSA-TCN-BiGRU forecasting framework is compared with benchmark models to verify its practicability and reliability. Compared with the TCN-BiGRU, the symmetric mean absolute percentage error, the mean absolute error, and the root mean square error of the VMD-SSA-TCN-BiGRU model reduced by 34.36%, 49.14%, and 55.94%. Digital Surface Model (DSM) is a three-dimensional model presenting the elevation of the Earth's surface, which can be obtained by the along-track or cross-track stereo images of optical satellites. This paper investigates the DSM extraction method using Gaofen-6 (GF-6) high-resolution (HR) cross-track images with a wide field of view (WFV). To guarantee the elevation accuracy, the relationship between the intersection angle and the overlap of the cross-track images was analyzed. Cross-track images with 20–40% overlaps could be selected to conduct DSM extraction. First, the rational function model (RFM) based on error compensation was used to realize the accurate orientation of the image. Then, the disparity map was generated based on the semi-global block matching (SGBM) algorithm with epipolar constraint. Finally, the DSM was generated by forward intersection. The GF-6 HR cross-track images with about 30% overlap located in Taian, Shandong Province, China, were used for DSM extraction. The results show that the mountainous surface elevation features were retained completely, and the details, such as houses and roads, were presented in valleys and urban areas. The root mean square error (RMSE) of the extracted DSM could reach 6.303 m, 12.879 m, 14.929 m, and 19.043 m in valley, ridge, urban, and peak areas, respectively. A non-periodic "step-like" variation in displacement is exhibited owing to the repeated instability of expansive soil landslides. The dynamic prediction of deformation for expansive soil landslides has become a challenge in actual engineering for disaster prevention and mitigation. Therefore, a support vector regression prediction (AMPSO-SVR) model based on adaptive mutation particle swarm optimization is proposed, which is suitable for small samples of data. The shallow displacement is decomposed into a trend component and fluctuating component by complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (CEEMDAN), and the trend displacement is predicted by cubic polynomial fitting. In this paper, the multiple disaster-inducing factors of expansive landslides and the time hysteresis effect between displacement and its influencing factors are fully considered, and the crucial influencing factors which eliminate the time lag effect and state factors are input into the model to predict the fluctuation displacement. Monitoring data in the Ningming area of China are employed for the model validation. The predicted results are compared with those of the traditional model. The model performance is evaluated through indicators such as the goodness of fit R2 and root mean square error RMSE. The results show that the prediction RMSE of the new model for three monitoring stations can reach 2.6 mm, 6.6 mm, and 2.5 mm, respectively. Compared with the common Grid search support vector regression (GS-SVR), the Particle Swarm Optimization Support Vector Regression (PSO-SVR) and Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) models have average improvements of 58.4%, 38.1%, and 25.2% respectively. The goodness of fit R2 is superior to 0.99 in the new method. The proposed model can effectively be deployed for the displacement prediction of non-periodic stepped expansive soil landslides driven by multiple influencing factors, providing a reference idea for the deformation prediction of expansive soil landslides. The timely and accurate acquisition of information on the distribution of the crop planting structure in the Loess Plateau of eastern Gansu Province, one of the most important agricultural areas in Western China, is crucial for promoting fine management of agriculture and ensuring food security. This study uses multi-temporal high-resolution remote sensing images to determine optimal segmentation scales for various crops, employing the estimation of scale parameter 2 (ESP2) tool and the Ratio of Mean Absolute Deviation to Standard Deviation (RMAS) model. The Canny edge detection algorithm is then applied for multi-scale image segmentation. By incorporating crop phenological factors and using the L1-regularized logistic regression model, we optimized 39 spatial feature factors—including spectral, textural, geometric, and index features. Within a multi-level classification framework, the Random Forest (RF) classifier and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model are used to classify the cropping patterns in four test areas based on the multi-scale segmented images. The results indicate that integrating the Canny edge detection algorithm with the optimal segmentation scales calculated using the ESP2 tool and RMAS model produces crop parcels with more complete boundaries and better separability. Additionally, optimizing spatial features using the L1-regularized logistic regression model, combined with phenological information, enhances classification accuracy. Within the OBIC framework, the RF classifier achieves higher accuracy in classifying cropping patterns. The overall classification accuracies for the four test areas are 91.93%, 94.92%, 89.37%, and 90.68%, respectively. Traditionally, the assessment of heavy metal concentrations using remote sensing technology is sample-intensive, with expensive model development. Using a mining area case study of Daxigou, China, we propose a cross-time-domain transfer learning model to monitor heavy metal pollution using samples collected from different time domains. Specifically, spectral indices derived from Landsat 8 multispectral images, terrain, and other auxiliary data correlative to soil heavy metals were prepared. A cross time-domain sample transfer learning model proposed in the paper based on the TrAdaBoost algorithm was used for the Cu content mapping in the topsoil by selective use of soil samples acquired in 2017 and 2019. We found that the proposed model accurately estimated the concentration of Cu in the topsoil of the mining area in 2019 and performed better than the traditional TrAdaBoost algorithms. The goodness of fit (R2) of the test set increased from 0.55 to 0.66; the relative prediction deviation (RPD) increased from 1.37 to 1.76; and finally, the root-mean-square deviation (RMSE), decreased from 8.33 to 7.24 mg·kg−1. As a unique traditional vegetable oil in China, camellia seed oil has very high edible value. Camellia seed kernel is mainly composed of fatty acids, which not only determines the oil yield of camellia seed, but also exert an important impact on the storage performance of camellia seed. In order to quickly and accurately determine the fatty acid content of camellia seed, this paper took camellia seed as the research object, used hyperspectral technology to determine the fatty acid content of camellia seed, and establishes a spectral model. 8 pretreatment methods, such as Savitzky-Golay smoothing, normalization, baseline correction, multivariate scattering correction, standard normal variable transformation, detrending algorithm, first derivative and second derivative, were adopted in this paper. The spectral prediction model of fatty acid content in camellia seed was established by combining 4 modeling methods: principal components regression (PCR), partial least square regression (PLSR), back propagation neural network (BP), radial basis function neural network (RBF). The optimal prediction model was selected by comparing the coefficient of determination (R²) and root mean square error (RMSE) of various models. The results showed that the spectral sensitive bands with high correlation coefficients (r) were 410-420 nm, 450- 460 nm, 490-510 nm, 545-580 nm, 845-870 nm and 905-925 nm, respectively. The r obtained by MSC pretreatment of spectral data was the largest. The data obtained by 8 different pretreatment methods combined with RBF neural network model was the best, in which the average value of coefficient of determination (RC²) in the calibration set was 0.8654, and the root mean square error of calibration (RMSEC) was 0.0777; the average value of coefficient of determination (RP²) and root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP) in the prediction set model were 0.8437 and 0.0827, respectively. It could be seen that the best accuracy could be achieved by MSC pretreatment combined with RBF neural network modeling. The correction of model forecast is an important step in evaluating weather forecast results. In recent years, post-processing models based on deep learning have become prominent. In this paper, a deep learning model named EDConvLSTM based on encoder-decoder structure and ConvLSTM is developed, which appears to be able to effectively correct numerical weather forecasts. Compared with traditional post-processing methods and convolutional neural networks, ED-ConvLSTM has strong collaborative extraction ability to effectively extract the temporal and spatial features of numerical weather forecasts and fit the complex nonlinear relationship between forecast field and observation field. In this paper, the post-processing method of ED-ConvLSTM for 2 m temperature prediction is tested using The International Grand Global Ensemble dataset and ERA5-Land data from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). Root mean square error and temperature prediction accuracy are used as evaluation indexes to compare ED-ConvLSTM with the method of model output statistics, convolutional neural network postprocessing methods, and the original prediction by the ECMWF. The results show that the correction effect of EDConvLSTM is better than that of the other two postprocessing methods in terms of the two indexes, especially in the long forecast time. This paper discusses the micro effect of export stimulus policy. We use the seven rounds of export tax rebates implemented by the Chinese government during the international financial crisis as a natural experiment and explore their impact on the export resilience of firms using the difference-in-differences approach. We find that the export resilience of Chinese enterprises increased by 0.027 standard deviations due to export tax rebates. Further studies confirm that export tax rebates significantly improve export resilience mainly by reducing value-added taxes, expanding production scale, and accelerating the adjustment of export structure. In addition, the positive effect of export tax rebates varies among enterprises and products. These results highlight the critical role of stimulative policies in promoting export resilience. Currently, the opportunistic method to estimate rainfall using commercial microwave links (CMLs) has been shown as an efficient way to complement traditional instruments in terms of spatial‐temporal resolution and coverage. In this paper, we collected data from 26 CMLs in Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province, and conducted experiments on rainfall field reconstruction and nowcasting. First, the raw CML data were processed to invert the path‐averaged rainfall intensity. Second, the algorithms of inverse distance weighting (IDW) and ordinary kriging (OK) interpolation were employed to reconstruct the rainfall field. Then a 10‐min prediction of the rainfall field was achieved using a nowcasting model based on the long short‐term memory neural network and a setup window was introduced to improve the prediction performance of the first few minutes. The reconstruction results show that the average correlation coefficient (ACC) and the average root mean square error (ARMSE) between the IDW‐based results and daily cumulative rainfall from rain gauges (RGs) are 0.89 and 8.69 mm, respectively, while the ACC and ARMSE between the OK‐based results and RG data are 0.89 and 9.13 mm, respectively. The nowcasting results show that the ACC between the prediction results with a 5‐min setup window and the IDW‐retrieved rainfall fields can reach 0.91 at the first minute and gradually decrease to 0.20 within 10 min. Furthermore, the model has better nowcasting performance for stratiform precipitation and mixed precipitation compared to convective precipitation. The rich biodiversity in the floodplain area is influenced by both floodplain floods and groundwater (GW). To protect the ecological environment in the floodplain area, it is essential to study the interaction between floodplain floods and GW. The objective of this paper is to propose a coupling strategy between a hydrodynamic model and a GW model to provide an accurate simulation tool for quantifying the interaction between floodplain floods and GW. The case study is conducted in the floodplain area of the middle reaches of the Irtysh River in northwest China. Firstly, a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model based on TELEMAC-2D is constructed to accurately simulate floodplain floods under wetting and drying conditions. Secondly, a GW model based on MODFLOW is developed. Finally, a coupling strategy is proposed to achieve accurate and efficient integration between the hydrodynamic model and the GW model. The calibration and verification results of the model demonstrate high accuracy, with root mean squared error (RMSE) values of 0.51 m and 0.77 m between observed and calculated GW levels for the hydrodynamic–GW coupled model. The water balance results indicate that floodplain floods serve as the largest GW recharge source in the study area, while phreatic evaporation is the primary GW discharge item. This paper represents a novel attempt to couple a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model with a GW model. The research results provide a scientific tool for the ecological restoration of floodplain areas considering both surface water and GW, as well as the comprehensive management and regulation of wetland water resources and the water environment. Objective: To explore the development of hip arthroscopy in China through reviewing the change of the application of hip arthroscopy operation on treating femoracetabular impingement (FAI). Method: Papers were retrieved from January 1, 2005 to November 1, 2019, from databases CNKI, Wanfang Data, VIP, PubMed, and Embase. The keywords are Hip Impingement, Femoroacetabular impingement, Hip arthroscopy, Arthroscopic operation, Hip Arthroscopy operation, and Arthroscope, etc. The quality of papers was assessed through MINORS , and statistics and meta‐analysis were performed by Word, Excel, and Revman 5.3 Zurich, Switzerland. Results: From a total of 8,953 papers, 46 review articles without data and 48 articles with data were involved, and 25 papers were included in the Meta‐analysis. The twenty‐five papers were selected from 48 papers with data, of which 41 were reported in Chinese, 11 were missing complete Harris scores, five did not mention the number of patients who had lost follow‐up, three had minors quality scores below 7, one did not have enough FAI cases, and three did not have standard deviations in Harris scores. Overall, in China, the application of hip arthroscopy regarding FAI has flourished while maintaining a high level of treatment and has reached its peak in the past 2 years. Conclusion: With the rapid development of hip arthroscopy in China, hip operation is widely recognized, many reports on its application on FAI have emerged successively, and the scope of application and technical level have been improved. This paper investigates the causal effect of education on mental health by using the exogenous variation in years of schooling arising from the compulsory schooling law implemented in China during the 1980s and 1990s. Using data from China Family Panel Studies, the paper finds evidence for significant protective effects of educational attainment on mental health. The results show that one extra year of schooling improves the mental health scale by 0.14 standard deviations. This paper explores the impact of Chinese subsidy interventions in the upstream sector on the competitiveness of the downstream sector. In particular, the paper investigates the causal effect of Chinese subsidies on base metal products on the export competitiveness of downstream sectors in other major trading countries. To explore the impact of base metal subsidy interventions on the downstream sector of a trading partner, we exploit both temporal variation in subsidy interventions and base‐metal consumption by the downstream sector. Using a panel data for 137 sectors in 40 major trading partners of the Chinese economy, the results of the paper reveal that a one‐unit increase in Chinese subsidies decreases competitors' exports by an average of 16.6%. This indicates that an increase in one standard deviation of Chinese subsidies in the base metals sector decreases exports in the other major economies by 0.17 percentage points. The findings of the paper reveal that the impacts of Chinese subsidy interventions are larger and statistically significant for the exports of developed countries and metal‐intensive users in the downstream sectors. Production relocation to China, absorption of larger inexpensive base metals input by domestic Chinese firms, and subsidy complementarity in the Chinese upstream and downstream sectors could be some of the potential drivers for the negative impact of Chinese subsidy interventions on the export performance of foreign downstream firms. The physical parameterizations have important influence on model performance in precipitation simulation and prediction; however, previous investigations are seldom conducted at very high resolution over Hebei Province, which is often influenced by extreme events such as droughts and floods. In this paper, the influence of parameterization schemes and analysis nudging on precipitation simulation is investigated using the WRF (weather research and forecasting) model with many sensitivity experiments at the cumulus "gray-zone" resolution (5 km). The model performance of different sensitivity simulations is determined by a comparison with the local high-quality observational data. The results indicate that the WRF model generally reproduces the distribution of precipitation well, and the model tends to underestimate precipitation compared with the station observations. The sensitivity simulation with the Tiedtke cumulus parameterization scheme combined with the Thompson microphysics scheme shows the best model performance, with the highest temporal correlation coefficient (0.45) and lowest root mean square error (0.34 mm/day). At the same time, analysis nudging, which incorporates observational information into simulation, can improve the model performance in precipitation simulation. Further analysis indicates that the negative bias in precipitation may be associated with the negative bias in relative humidity, which in turn is associated with the positive bias in temperature and wind speed. This study highlights the role of parameterization schemes and analysis nudging in precipitation simulation and provides a valuable reference for further investigations on precipitation forecasting applications. This study proposes a novel method, which is a U‐shaped convolutional neural network that combines non‐local attention mechanisms, Res2net residual modules, and terrain information (UNR‐Net). The original U‐Net method and the linear regression (LR) method are conducted as benchmarks. Generally, the UNR‐Net has demonstrated promise in performing a 10× downscaling for daily 2‐m temperature over North China with lead times of 1–7 days and shows superiority to the U‐Net and LR methods. To be specific, U‐Net and UNR‐Net demonstrate higher Nash‐Sutcliffe Efficiency coefficient values compared to LR by 0.052 and 0.077, respectively. The corresponding improvements in pattern correlation coefficient are 0.013 and 0.016, while the root mean square error values are higher by 0.22 and 0.338, respectively. Additionally, the structural similarity index metric is higher by 0.033 and lower by 0.015. Furthermore, regions with significant errors are primarily distributed in complex terrain areas such as the Taihang Mountains, where UNR‐Net exhibits noticeable improvements. In addition, the 12 components‐based error decomposition method is proposed to analyze the error source of different models. Generally, the smallest errors are observed during the summer season and the sequence error component is proven to be the main source error of 2‐m temperature forecasts. Furthermore, UNR‐Net consistently demonstrates the lowest errors among all 12 error components. Therefore, combining the numerical weather prediction model and deep learning method is very promising in downscaling temperature forecasts and can be applied to routine forecasting of other atmospheric variables in the future. Over the last two decades, airborne light detection and ranging (LiDAR) has been developed into an advanced tool for practical forest resource inventory monitoring over large areas. Nonetheless, improving the accuracy of forest inventory attribute estimations remains an ongoing challenge. This paper introduces a novel framework for estimating forest inventory attributes based on the stratification of vertical forest structures (VFS). According to the composition and spatial arrangement of the superior, middle, and inferior strata in the tree layer, the forest stand was classified into six distinct VFS classes. Subsequently, the multiplicative power models were established for the stratification-based estimations of the forest inventory attributes, including stand volume (VOL), basal area (BA), and above-ground biomass (AGB), by using a rule-based exhaustive combination approach, and their performances were comparatively analyzed. The result indicated that: compared to the accuracy (relative root mean squared error, rRMSE) of the species-based estimation, the weighted average rRMSE of stratumbased VOL, BA, and AGB estimations of four forest types (Chinese fir, Masson pine, eucalyptus, and broadleaf forests) decreased by 0.3%–7.3%, +3.6%–9.4%, and 0.7%–8.7%, respectively, and the accuracy was significantly improved after stratification. Even after clustering the VFS into two or three classes using cluster analysis, the accuracy of forest attribute estimations remained superior to that of the species-based estimations. Notably, the coefficients of variation for both forest attributes and LiDAR metrics experienced a substantial decrease, and their statistical relationship considerably strengthened within most strata post-VFS classification, which led to an improvement in the accuracy of the forest attribute estimations. Municipal solid waste (MSW) management is a crucial issue in socioeconomic metabolism and requires multicategory and high‐resolution data, and data on the physical composition of municipal solid waste (PCMSW) are fundamental in MSW research. Extensive financial resources have been invested in the research on field investigations of PCMSW; however, it is time‐consuming and sometimes not truly representative of the studied case. In this work, two bottom‐up and two top‐down approaches were applied for analyzing the PCMSW, namely, field investigation (FI), BP neural network (BPNN), material flow analysis (MFA), and inversion algorithm based on electricity generation of waste incinerator (IAEI). Wuhan City, China, was chosen as the studied case for analyzing and comparing the PCMSW results. The PCMSW values obtained by applying those four methods showed acceptable differences, and the standard deviations of organic fraction, ash and stone, paper, plastic and rubber, textile, wood, metal, glass, and others were 3.94%, 2.77%, 6.57%, 2.22%, 2.49%, 1.36%, 0.53%, 1.19%, and 0.28%, respectively. Use of the MFA, BPNN, and IAEI methods could reduce time and labor spent on manual sampling, sorting, and weighing of MSW, compared to the FI method. BPNN algorithm advances in providing PCMSW data in history and by trajectory throughout the year, whereas IAEI contributes PCMSW data with much higher temporal resolution. Highly accurate near-real-time satellite precipitation estimates (SPEs) are important for hydrological forecasting and disaster warning. The near-real quantitative precipitation estimates (REGC) of the recently developed Chinese geostationary meteorological satellite Fengyun 4A (FY4A) have the advantage of high spatial and temporal resolution, but there are errors and uncertainties to some extent. In this paper, a self-adaptive ill-posed least squares scheme based on sequential processing (SISP) is proposed and practiced in mainland China to correct the real-time biases of REGC hour by hour. Specifically, the scheme adaptively acquires sample data by setting temporal and spatial windows and constructs an error-correction model based on the ill-posed least squares method from the perspectives of climate regions, topography, and rainfall intensity. The model adopts the sequential idea to update satellite precipitation data within time windows on an hour-by-hour basis and can correct the biases of real-time satellite precipitation data using dynamically changing parameters, fully taking into account the influence of precipitation spatial and temporal variability. Only short-term historical data are needed to accurately rate the parameters. The results show that the SISP algorithm can significantly reduce the biases of the original REGC, in which the values of relative bias (RB) in mainland China are reduced from 11.2% to 3.3%, and the values of root mean square error (RMSE) are also reduced by about 17%. The SISP algorithm has a better correction in humid and semi-humid regions than in arid and semi-arid regions and is effective in reducing the negative biases of precipitation in each climate region. In terms of rain intensity, the SISP algorithm can improve the overestimation of satellite precipitation estimates for low rain intensity (0.2–1 mm/h), but the correction for high rain intensity (>1 mm/h) needs further improvement. The error component analysis shows that the SISP algorithm can effectively correct the hit bias. Wind speed exacerbates challenges associated with rock stability, introducing factors such as heightened erosion and the possibility of particle loosening. This increased sensitivity to erosion can result in material displacement, thereby compromising the overall stability of rock layers within the open-pit mining site. Therefore, accurate wind speed predictions are crucial for understanding the impact on rock stability, ensuring the safety and efficiency of open-pit mining operations. While most existing studies on wind speed prediction primarily focus on making overall predictions from the entire wind speed sequence, with limited consideration for the stationarity characteristics of the sequence, This paper introduces a novel approach for effective monitoring and early warning of geotechnical hazards. Our proposed method involves dividing wind speed data into stationary and non-stationary segments using the sliding window average method within the threshold method, validated by the Augmented Dickey-Fuller test. Subsequently, we use temporal convolutional networks (TCN) with dilated causal convolution and long short-term memory to predict the stationary segment of wind speed, effectively improving prediction accuracy for this segment. For the non-stationary segment, we implement complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (CEEMDAN) to reduce sequence complexity, followed by TCN with an attention mechanism (ATTENTION) to forecast wind speed one step ahead. Finally, we overlay the predictions of these two segments to obtain the final prediction. Our proposed model, tested with data from an open-pit mining area in western China, achieved promising results with an average absolute error of 0.14 knots, mean squared error of 0.05 knots2, and root mean squared error of 0.20 knots. These findings signify a significant advancement in the accuracy of short-term wind speed prediction. This advancement not oniy enables the rapid assessment and proactive response to imminent risks but also contributes to geotechnical hazard monitoring in open-pit mining operations. High-quality ground observation networks are an important basis for scientific research. Here, an automatic soil observation network for high-resolution satellite applications in China (SONTE-China) was established to measure both pixel- and multilayer-based soil moisture and temperature. SONTE-China is distributed across 17 field observation stations with a variety of ecosystems, covering both dry and wet zones. In this paper, the average root mean squared error (RMSE) of station-based soil moisture for well-characterized SONTE-China sites is 0.027 m3/m3 (0.014~0.057 m3/m3) following calibration for specific soil properties. The temporal and spatial characteristics of the observed soil moisture and temperature in SONTE-China conform to the geographical location, seasonality and rainfall of each station. The time series Sentinel-1 C-band radar signal and soil moisture show strong correlations, and the RMSE of the estimated soil moisture from radar data was lower than 0.05 m3/m3 for the Guyuan and Minqin stations. SONTE-China is a soil moisture retrieval algorithm that can validate soil moisture products and provide basic data for weather forecasting, flood forecasting, agricultural drought monitoring and water resource management. Accurately predicting carbon price is crucial for risk avoidance in the carbon financial market. In light of the complex characteristics of the regional carbon price in China, this paper proposes a model to forecast carbon price based on the multi-factor hybrid kernel-based extreme learning machine (HKELM) by combining secondary decomposition and ensemble learning. Variational mode decomposition (VMD) is first used to decompose the carbon price into several modes, and range entropy is then used to reconstruct these modes. The multi-factor HKELM optimized by the sparrow search algorithm is used to forecast the reconstructed subsequences, where the main external factors innovatively selected by maximum information coefficient and historical time-series data on carbon prices are both considered as input variables to the forecasting model. Following this, the improved complete ensemble-based empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise and range entropy are respectively used to decompose and reconstruct the residual term generated by VMD. Finally, the nonlinear ensemble learning method is introduced to determine the predictions of residual term and final carbon price. In the empirical analysis of Guangzhou market, the root mean square error(RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of the model are 0.1716, 0.1218 and 0.0026, respectively. This article takes the measured Total Electron Content (TEC) from the GPS points of the China Regional Crust Observation Network as the starting point to establish a regional ionospheric empirical model. The model's performance is enhanced by considering solar flux and geomagnetic activity data. The refinement function model of the ionospheric TEC diurnal variation component, seasonal variation component, and geomagnetic component is studied. Using the nonlinear least squares method to fit undetermined coefficients, MEFM-ITCR (Multi-parameter Empirical Fusion Model–Ionospheric TEC China Regional Model) is proposed to forecast the regional ionosphere TEC in China. The results show that the standard deviation of MEFM-ITCR residuals is 3.74TECU, and MEFM-ITCR fits the modeling dataset well. Analyses of geographic location variation, seasonal variation, and geomagnetic disturbance were carried out for MEFM-ITCR performance. The results indicate that in the Chinese region, MEFM-ITCR outperforms IRI2020 and NeQuick2 models in terms of forecast accuracy, linear correlation, and model precision for TEC measured using GPS points under different latitudes and longitudes, different seasons, and different geomagnetic disturbances. The empirical TEC model built for the Chinese region in this paper provides a new ionospheric delay correction method for GNSS single frequency users and is of great significance for establishing other new and improving existing ionospheric empirical models. Forest aboveground biomass (AGB) retrieval using synthetic aperture radar (SAR) backscatter has received extensive attention. The water cloud model (WCM), because of its simplicity and physical significance, has been one of the most commonly used models for estimating forest AGB using SAR backscatter. Nevertheless, forest AGB estimation using the WCM is usually based on simplified assumptions and empirical fitting, leading to results that tend to overestimate or underestimate. Moreover, the physical connection between the model and the polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (PolSAR) is not established, which leads to the limitation of the inversion scale. In this paper, based on the fully polarimetric SAR data from the Advanced Land Observing Satellite-2 (ALOS-2) Phased Array-type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (PALSAR-2), the relative contributions of the three major scattering mechanisms were first analyzed in a hilly area of southern China. On this basis, the traditional WCM was extended by considering the secondary scattering mechanism. Then, to establish the direct relationship between the vegetation scattering mechanism and forest AGB, a new relationship equation between the PolSAR decomposition model and the improved water cloud model (I-WCM) was constructed without the help of external data. Finally, a nonlinear iterative method was used to estimate the forest AGB. The results show that volume scattering is the dominant mechanism, accounting for more than 60%. Double-bounce scattering accounts for the smallest fraction, but still about 10%, which means that the contribution of the double-bounce scattering component is not negligible in forested areas because of the strong penetration capability of the long-wave SAR. The modified method provides a correlation coefficient R2 of 0.665 and a root mean square error (RMSE) of 21.902, which is an improvement of 36.42% compared to the traditional fitting method. Moreover, it enables the extraction of forest parameters at the pix scale using PolSAR data without the need for low-resolution external data and is thus helpful for high-resolution mapping of forest AGB. Objective: To develop a mapping algorithm for generating the Short Form Six-Dimension (SF-6D) utility score based on the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Lung (FACT-L) of lung cancer patients. Methods: Data were collected from 625 lung cancer patients in mainland China. The Spearman rank correlation coefficient and principal component analysis were used to evaluate the conceptual overlap between the FACT-L and SF-6D. Five model specifications and four statistical techniques were used to derive mapping algorithms, including ordinary least squares (OLS), Tobit and beta-mixture regression models, which were used to directly estimate health utility, and ordered probit regression was used to predict the response level. The prediction performance was evaluated using the correlations between the root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), concordance correlation coefficient (CCC), Akaike information criterion (AIC) and Bayesian information criterion (BIC) and the observed and predicted SF-6D scores. A five-fold cross-validation method was used to test the universality of each model and select the best model. Results: The average FACT-L score was 103.024. The average SF-6D score was 0.774. A strong correlation was found between FACT-L and SF-6D scores (ρ = 0.797). The ordered probit regression model with the total score of each dimension and its square term, as well as age and sex as covariates, was most suitable for mapping FACT-L to SF-6D scores (5-fold cross-validation: RMSE = 0.0854; MAE = 0.0655; CCC = 0.8197; AEs > 0.1 (%) = 53.44; AEs > 0.05 (%) = 21.76), followed by beta-mixture regression for direct mapping. The Bland‒Altman plots showed that the ordered probit regression M5 had the lowest proportion of prediction scores outside the 95% agreement limit (-0.166, 0.163) at 4.96%. Conclusions: The algorithm reported in this paper enables lung cancer data from the FACT-L to be mapped to the utility of the SF-6D. Continuous evapotranspiration (ET) data with high spatial resolution are crucial for water resources management in irrigated agricultural areas in arid regions. Many global ET products are available now but with a coarse spatial resolution. Spatial-temporal fusion methods, such as the spatial and temporal adaptive reflectance fusion model (STARFM), can help to downscale coarse spatial resolution ET products. In this paper, the STARFM model is improved by incorporating the temperature vegetation dryness index (TVDI) into the data fusion process, and we propose a spatial and temporal adaptive evapotranspiration downscaling method (STAEDM). The modified method STAEDM was applied to the 1 km SSEBOP ET product to derive a downscaled 30 m ET for irrigated agricultural fields of Northwest China. The STAEDM exhibits a significant improvement compared to the original STARFM method for downscaling SSEBOP ET on Landsat-unavailable dates, with an increase in the squared correlation coefficients (r2) from 0.68 to 0.77 and a decrease in the root mean square error (RMSE) from 10.28 mm/10 d to 8.48 mm/10 d. The ET based on the STAEDM additionally preserves more spatial details than STARFM for heterogeneous agricultural fields and can better capture the ET seasonal dynamics. The high-precision prediction of sea clutter reflectivity is helpful in improving the performance of marine radar and sea surface remote sensing capabilities. Under the same sea state, when the significant wave height, wave period, wind speed, and other marine environmental parameters are different, the backward reflectivity of the sea clutter corresponding to the wave structure is not the same. Due to the complex and variable nature of sea clutter characteristics across various wave structures, a meticulous classification of wave structures by integrating multiple marine environmental parameters enables the achievement of the high-precision prediction of sea clutter reflectivity. In this study, utilizing measured data of diverse marine environmental parameters in the Yellow Sea, China, we applied the Affinity Propagation algorithm to data clustering. Based on the clustering outcomes, we accomplished a refined classification of wave structures and developed a discriminant model to precisely classify the refined wave structure, facilitating the categorization of new data. In order to achieve more accurate predictions of sea clutter reflectivity, this paper proposes a deep neural network model named GIT-HYB-DNN, which combines the empirical models GIT and HYB. The GIT-HYB-DNN model is applied to predict the reflectivity for each wave structure category separately. The results demonstrate that the root mean square errors of sea clutter reflectivity predictions for different wave structure categories in this study range from 0.62 dB to 0.84 dB. The prediction errors are significantly reduced compared to the root mean square error of 1.08 dB, which was obtained without refined wave structure classification. Precipitation datasets derived from reanalysis products play a crucial role in weather forecasting and hydrological applications. This paper aims to evaluate the performance of two distinct reanalysis precipitation products, i.e., the first-generation Chinese global land-surface reanalysis precipitation product (CRA40) and the fifth-generation European reanalysis precipitation product (ERA5), over mainland China. The evaluation is based on continuous and categorical statistical indicators with daily-scale gridded-point rain gauge data obtained from Chinese surface meteorological stations. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows: (1) CRA40 demonstrates a clear superiority over ERA5 in terms of the 13-year daily mean precipitation and seasonal daily precipitation. CRA40 exhibits better correlation coefficients (0.97), relative biases (5.25%), root mean square errors (0.34 mm), and fractional standard errors (0.05). (2) Both reanalyzed precipitation products generally exhibit an overestimation of precipitation in mainland China. The degree of overestimation is particularly pronounced in dry climatic regions (e.g., QZ, XJ), while wet regions (e.g., CJ, HN) demonstrate relatively less overestimation. (3) ERA5 shows better performance in the detection of daily precipitation. Neither CRA40 nor ERA5 can capture heavy precipitation events well. In this paper, we propose an optimal fractional-order accumulative Grey Markov model with variable parameters (FOGMKM (1,1)) to predict the annual total energy consumption in China and improve the accuracy of energy consumption forecasting. The new model is built upon the traditional Grey model and utilized matrix perturbation theory to study the natural and response characteristics of a system when the structural parameters change slightly. The particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) is used to determine the number of optimal fractional order and nonlinear parameters. An experiment is conducted to validate the high prediction accuracy of the FOGMKM (1,1) model, with mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and root mean square error (RMSE) values of 0.51% and 1886.6, respectively, and corresponding fitting values of 0.92% and 6108.8. These results demonstrate the superior fitting performance of the FOGMKM (1,1) model when compared to other six competitive models, including GM (1,1), ARIMA, Linear, FAONGBM (1,1), FGM (1,1) and FOGM (1,1). Our study provides a scientific basis and technical references for further research in the finance as well as energy fields and can serve well for energy market benchmark research. Day by day pollution in cities is increasing due to urbanization. One of the biggest challenges posed by the rapid migration of inhabitants into cities is increased air pollution. Sustainable Development Goal 11 indicates that 99 percent of the world's urban population breathes polluted air. In such a trend of urbanization, predicting the concentrations of pollutants in advance is very important. Predictions of pollutants would help city administrations to take timely measures for ensuring Sustainable Development Goal 11. In data engineering, imputation and the removal of outliers are very important steps prior to forecasting the concentration of air pollutants. For pollution and meteorological data, missing values and outliers are critical problems that need to be addressed. This paper proposes a novel method called multiple iterative imputation using autoencoder-based long short-term memory (MIA-LSTM) which uses iterative imputation using an extra tree regressor as an estimator for the missing values in multivariate data followed by an LSTM autoencoder for the detection and removal of outliers present in the dataset. The preprocessed data were given to a multivariate LSTM for forecasting PM2.5 concentration. This paper also presents the effect of removing outliers and missing values from the dataset as well as the effect of imputing missing values in the process of forecasting the concentrations of air pollutants. The proposed method provides better results for forecasting with a root mean square error (RMSE) value of 9.8883. The obtained results were compared with the traditional gated recurrent unit (GRU), 1D convolutional neural network (CNN), and long short-term memory (LSTM) approaches for a dataset of the Aotizhonhxin area of Beijing in China. Similar results were observed for another two locations in China and one location in India. Buckwheat is an important minor grain crop with medicinal and edible functions. The accurate judgment of buckwheat maturity is beneficial to reduce harvest losses and improve yield. With the rapid development of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology, it has been widely used to predict the maturity of agricultural products. This paper proposed a method using recursive feature elimination cross-validation (RFECV) combined with multiple regression models to predict the maturity of buckwheat in UAV-RGB images. The images were captured in the buckwheat experimental field of Shanxi Agricultural University in Jinzhong, Northern China, from September to October in 2021. The variety was sweet buckwheat of "Jinqiao No. 1". In order to deeply mine the feature vectors that highly correlated with the prediction of buckwheat maturity, 22 dimensional features with 5 vegetation indexes, 9 color features, and 8 texture features of buckwheat were selected initially. The RFECV method was adopted to obtain the optimal feature vector dimensions and combinations with six regression models of decision tree regression, linear regression, random forest regression, AdaBoost regression, gradient lifting regression, and extreme random tree regression. The coefficient of determination ( R 2 ) and root mean square error (RMSE) were used to analyze the different combinations of the six regression models with different feature spaces. The experimental results show that the single vegetation index performed poorly in the prediction of buckwheat maturity; the prediction result of feature space "5" combined with the gradient lifting regression model performed the best; and the R 2 and RMSE were 0.981 and 1.70 respectively. Satellite-based precipitation products (SPPs) provide valuable precipitation information for various applications. Their performance, however, varies significantly from region to region due to various data sources and production processes. This paper aims to evaluate four selected SPPs (Precipitation Estimation from Remotely Sensed Information using Artificial Neural Networks Climate Data Record (PERSIANN-CDR), Multi-Source Weighted-Ensemble Precipitation (MSWEP), Gauge-adjusted Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation (GSMAP-gauge), and Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM)) over mainland China from 2016 to 2019. Both conventional statistical indicators (e.g., correlation coefficients (CC), root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), relative bias (RB), and Nash–Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE)) and categorical indicators (probability of detection (POD), probability of true detection (POTD), false-alarm rate (FAR), and critical success index (CSI)) are used for quantitative analysis. The results show that: (1) GSMAP-gauge and GPM perform best in reproducing the spatial distribution pattern of precipitation over mainland China, whereas SPPs generally underestimate summer precipitation with a high frequency of no-rain cases. (2) MSWEP has the best capability for recording precipitation events, although some parts of northern China exhibit abnormal overestimations for winter precipitation. (3) All SPPs, especially the PERSIANN-CDR, significantly underestimate the precipitation in the mountainous areas of southwestern China. (4) The GSMAP-gauge and GPM outperformed the other two of the four SPPs, in terms of the probability density function of daily precipitation for cases (PDFc) and the probability density function of daily precipitation for volume (PDFv). Generally, PERSIANN-CDR shows the poorest performance when compared to the other three products. In this paper, we forecast the regional total electron content (TEC) over China (0–60° N, 70–140° E) two hours in advance using a deep learning method called pix2pixhd that is based on Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN). We use the International GNSS Service (IGS) TEC maps over China during the 2003–2018 period for training and divide the data into three parts: a training set (2003–2013), a test set (2014–2017), and a validation set (2018). We evaluate the prediction effect of our model using Root Mean Square Error and correlation coefficient and compare our model with IRI-2016. The result demonstrates that our model shows a good performance for TEC prediction in China. Under different geomagnetic and solar activity conditions, the performance of our model is always better than IRI-2016. Analyzing the average difference map between the output of our model and the target IGS TEC map (+2 h), our model behaves well in China including the low-latitude region. In addition, our model behaves better during quiet time and high solar activity years. The successful application of pix2pixhd in forecasting the regional TEC maps over China demonstrates that deep learning methods can solve many geoscience problems, especially for ionospheric parameter forecasting. Among the critical global crises curbing world development and sustainability, air quality degradation has been a long-lasting and increasingly urgent one and it has been sufficiently proven to pose severe threats to human health and social welfare. A higher level of model prediction accuracy can play a fundamental role in air quality assessment and enhancing human well-being. In this paper, four types of machine learning models—random forest model, ridge regression model, support vector machine model, extremely randomized trees model—were adopted to predict PM2.5 concentration in ten cities in the Jing-Jin-Ji region of north China based on multi-sources spatiotemporal data including air quality and meteorological data in time series. Data were fed into the model by using the rolling prediction method which is proven to improve prediction accuracy in our experiments. Lastly, the comparative experiments show that at the city level, RF and ExtraTrees models have better predictive results with lower mean absolute error (MAE), root mean square error (RMSE), and higher index of agreement (IA) compared to other selected models. For seasonality, level four models all have the best prediction performances in winter time and the worst in summer time, and RF models have the best prediction performance with the IA ranging from 0.93 to 0.98 with an MAE of 5.91 to 11.68 μg/m3. The simulation and prediction of coastline changes are of great significance for the development and scientific management of coastal zones. Coastline changes are difficult to capture completely but appear significantly periodic over a long time series. In this paper, the transformer model is used to learn the changing trend of the coastline so as to deduce the position of the coastline in the coming year. First, we use the distance regularization level set evolution (DRLSE) model for instantaneous waterline extraction (IWE) from preprocessed Landsat time-series images from 2010–2020 in Weitou Bay, China. Then, tidal correction (TC) is performed on the extracted instantaneous waterline dataset to obtain coastlines projected to a single reference tidal datum. Finally, the coastline datasets from 2010–2019 are used for model training, and the coastline in 2020 is used for accuracy assessment. Three precision evaluation methods, including receiver operating characteristic curve matching, the mean offset, and the root mean square error, were used to verify the predicted coastline data. The receiver operating characteristic curve was specifically designed and improved to evaluate the accuracy of the obtained coastline. Compared with the support vector regression (SVR) and long–short-term memory (LSTM) methods, the results showed that the coastline predicted by the transformer model was the closest to the accurate extracted coastline. The accuracies of the correct values corresponding to SVR, LSTM, and transformer models were 88.27%, 94.08%, and 98.80%, respectively, which indicated the accuracy of the coastline extraction results. Additionally, the mean offset and root mean square error were 0.32 pixels and 0.57 pixels, respectively. In addition, the experimental results showed that tidal correction is important for coastline prediction. Moreover, through field investigations of coastlines, the predicted results obtained for natural coastlines were more accurate, while the predicted results were relatively poor for some artificial coastlines that were intensely influenced by human activities. With the acceleration of the urban development process and the rapid growth of China's population, the subway has become the first choice for people to travel, and the urban underground space has been continuously improved. The subway construction has become the focus of urban underground space development in the 21st century. During the construction of subway tunnels, the problem of surface settlement will inevitably be caused, and the problem of surface settlement will have a certain safety impact on the safe use of surface buildings. The impact of surface construction is predicted, so as to select the best construction technology and avoid the problem of surface subsidence to the greatest extent. On the basis of analyzing the principle of surface subsidence, this paper studies the optimal control strategy and process of subsidence in subway tunnel engineering. The research results of the article show the following. (1) The two sections of the pebble soil layer have basically the same subsidence trend. Among them, the first section has a larger settlement amplitude and both sides are steeper. The second section is mainly cobble clay soil. The pebble layer has good mechanical properties. If it can be well filled, its stability will be improved. The comparative analysis of the two sections shows that with the increase of the soil cover thickness, the maximum subsidence at the surface gradually decreases. The reason is that when the stratum loss is the same, the greater the soil cover thickness, the greater the settlement width. Sections 2 and 3 of a single silty clay have relatively close settlement laws, and the settlement changes on both sides of the tunnel are similar. (2) The surface subsidence caused by the excavation of the side hole accounts for more than 50% of the total surface subsidence, and the width of the settlement tank after the excavation of the side hole is increased by 8–10 meters compared with the excavation of the middle hole. (3) The prediction error of the BP neural network model proposed in this paper is the lowest among the four models, whether it is the prediction of the cumulative maximum surface subsidence or the location of the cumulative maximum surface subsidence, and the average relative error of the cumulative maximum surface subsidence is 3.27%, the root mean square error is 3.87, the average relative error of the location of the cumulative maximum surface subsidence is 7.96%, and the root mean square error is 21.06. In the prediction process of the cumulative maximum surface subsidence, the prediction error value of the Elman neural network is relatively large, and the GRNN generalized neural network and RBF neural network have no significant changes; in the process of predicting the position where the cumulative maximum surface subsidence occurs, the prediction error value of RBF neural network is maximum. To accurately predict the construction costs of foundation pit projects, a model based on the stacked denoising autoencoder (SDAE) is constructed in this work. The influencing factors of foundation pit project construction costs are identified from the four attributes of construction cost management, namely, engineering, the environment, the market, and management. Combined with Chinese national standards and the practice of foundation pit project management, a method of the quantization of the influencing factors is presented. 60 deep foundation pit projects in China are selected to obtain 13 main characteristic factors affecting these project construction cost by using the rough set. Then, considering the advantages of the SDAE in dealing with complex nonlinear problems, a prediction model of foundation pit project construction costs is created. Finally, this paper employs these 60 projects for a case analysis. The case study demonstrates that, compared with the actual construction costs, the calculation error of the proposed method is less than 3%, and the average error is only 1.54%. In addition, three error analysis tools commonly used in machine learning (the determination coefficient, root mean square error, and mean absolute error) emphasize that the calculation accuracy of the proposed method is notably higher than those of other methods (Chinese national code, the multivariate return method, the BP algorithm, the BP model optimized by the genetic algorithm, the support vector machine, and the RBF model). Massive energy consumption data of buildings was generated with the development of information technology, and the real-time energy consumption data was transmitted to energy consumption monitoring system by the distributed wireless sensor network (WSN). Accurately predicting the energy consumption is of importance for energy manager to make advisable decision and achieve the energy conservation. In recent years, considerable attention has been gained on predicting energy use of buildings in China. More and more predictive models appeared in recent years, but it is still a hard work to construct an accurate model to predict the energy consumption due to the complexity of the influencing factors. In this paper, 40 weather factors were considered into the research as input variables, and the electricity of supermarket which was acquired by the energy monitoring system was taken as the target variable. With the aim to seek the optimal subset, three feature selection (FS) algorithms were involved in the study, respectively: stepwise, least angle regression (Lars), and Boruta algorithms. In addition, three machine learning methods that include random forest (RF) regression, gradient boosting regression (GBR), and support vector regression (SVR) algorithms were utilized in this paper and combined with three feature selection (FS) algorithms, totally are nine hybrid models aimed to explore an improved model to get a higher prediction performance. The results indicate that the FS algorithm Boruta has relatively better performance because it could work well both on RF and SVR algorithms, the machine learning method SVR could get higher accuracy on small dataset compared with the RF and GBR algorithms, and the hybrid model called SVR-Boruta was chosen to be the proposed model in this paper. What is more, four evaluate indicators were selected to verify the model performance respectively are the mean absolute error (MAE), the mean squared error(MSE), the root mean squared error (RMSE), and the R-squared (R2), and the experiment results further verified the superiority of the recommended methodology. On 23 November 2021, the Gaofen-3-02 (GF3-02) satellite was successfully launched in the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center of China. The primary payload is C-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), with a maximum resolution of 1 m, and includes 12 imaging modes such as Spotlight, Strip, and TOPSAR, which will play an essential role in marine environment monitoring. As an important marine environmental parameter, the wind speed accuracy retrieved by GF3-02 SAR directly reflects its performance and effectiveness as an operational product. Therefore, based on the wind data of buoys of the National Data Buoy Center (NDBC), ECMWF reanalysis V5 (ERA5), and HY-2B Scatterometer (SCA), a preliminary accuracy assessment of the wind speed retrieved by GF3-02 SAR is carried out in this paper. The wind speed retrieval accuracy of GF3-02 SAR in the co-polarization (HH+VV) data under different Geophysical Model Functions (GMFs) is discussed by using 478 level-1A Single Look Complex (SLC) ocean products acquired in Quad-Polarization Strip I (QPSI) and produced by the National Satellite Ocean Application Service (NSOAS) from January to March 2022. The results show that the optimal root mean square errors (RMSE) are 1.40 m/s, 1.18 m/s, and 1.24 m/s for the VV polarization and 1.39 m/s, 1.19 m/s, and 1.52 m/s for the HH polarization compared to the NDBC wind speed, the ERA5 wind speed, and the HY-2B SCA wind speed, respectively. High precision ionospheric Total Electron Content(TEC) prediction is of great significance for improving the accuracy of Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS), preventing natural disasters, and ensuring wireless communication. Given the varying frequencies of TEC signals, a hybrid CEEMDAN-BiLSTM-PSO-LSSVM-FE model for predicting ionospheric TEC content is proposed in this paper. Firstly, complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (CEEMDAN) is used to decompose the extracted hourly TEC sequence and calculate the fuzzy entropy (FE) of the subsequences. Then, the signal is divided into high-frequency and low-frequency parts based on the fuzzy entropy value, for the high-frequency component, Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory network (BiLSTM) is used for prediction; for the low-frequency component, Particle Swarm Optimization-based Least Squares Support Vector Machine (PSO-LSSVM) is used for prediction. The hourly TEC values collected from six evenly distributed GPS stations in China are used as the main input variable for the proposed model, with solar and geomagnetic activity data used as auxiliary data, using the TEC data from the previous 48 h to forecast the TEC content for the next hour. The performance of the model is evaluated by comparing it with other models under different geographical locations, seasons, solar and geomagnetic activity conditions. Experimental results show that the proposed hybrid model outperforms other models, with a correlation coefficient R2 and root mean square error (RMSE) of 0.99 and 0.20 TECU, respectively. In order to optimize the Chinese medical and health system and improve people's health level, the SFA Malmquist model, the spatial econometric model, and the standard deviation ellipse method were used to measure the efficiency of medical and health services in China's 31 provinces between 2010 and 2020. Study results indicated that the average efficiency value of the 31 provinces generally exceeded 0.8. Specifically, the average efficiency values in the eastern and central regions increased from 0.852 to 0.875 and from 0.858 to 0.88, respectively. In the western and northeastern regions, these values rose from 0.804 to 0.835 and from 0.827 to 0.854, respectively. From the perspective of spatial distribution, there were high-high and low-low clusters in most provinces with significant spatial dependence among them. With the continuous advancement of China's "peak carbon dioxide emissions and Carbon Neutrality" process, the proportion of wind power is increasing. In the current research, aiming at the problem that the forecasting model is outdated due to the continuous updating of wind power data, a short-term wind power forecasting algorithm based on Incremental Learning-Bagging Deep Hybrid Kernel Extreme Learning Machine (IL-Bagging-DHKELM) error affinity propagation cluster analysis is proposed. The algorithm effectively combines deep hybrid kernel extreme learning machine (DHKELM) with incremental learning (IL). Firstly, an initial wind power prediction model is trained using the Bagging-DHKELM model. Secondly, Euclidean morphological distance affinity propagation AP clustering algorithm is used to cluster and analyze the prediction error of wind power obtained from the initial training model. Finally, the correlation between wind power prediction errors and Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) data is introduced as incremental updates to the initial wind power prediction model. During the incremental learning process, multiple error performance indicators are used to measure the overall model performance, thereby enabling incremental updates of wind power models. Practical examples show the method proposed in this article reduces the root mean square error of the initial model by 1.9 percentage points, indicating that this method can be better adapted to the current scenario of the continuous increase in wind power penetration rate. To solve the problems of large prediction error, slow convergence speed, and poor generalisation ability of traditional models in predicting surface deformation of open-pit mine slopes, this paper proposes a new intelligent prediction model based on the Mayfly algorithm-optimised support vector machine (MA-SVM). In this method, the MA is used to optimise the SVM parameters to reduce the uncertainty of the model and avoid time-consuming parameter adjustment. To evaluate the proposed prediction model, real-world deformation data of the north slope of the Anjialing open-pit mine in Pingshuo city, China, are collected using the microdeformation monitoring radar and used to investigate the deformation prediction performance of the proposed method. The results of the analysis demonstrate that the proposed method is able to accurately predict the deformation of the surface of the mine slope and outperforms three existing popular methods, including SVM, genetic algorithm (GA)-SVM, and particle swarm optimisation (PSO)-SVM). The mean absolute error (MAE) of the proposed MA⁃SVM is 2.52 % while 6.56 %, 4.95 %, and 5.16 % for the SVM, GA-SVM, and PSO-SVM, respectively; the root mean square error (RMSE) of the proposed MA⁃SVM is 10.21 % while 30.79 %, 17.38 %, and 22.54 % for the other three methods. Because the proposed MA⁃SVM model is able to predict slope deformation using actual monitoring data, it is of practical importance in real-world applications for early warning on landslides of mine slopes. Wintertime precipitation, especially snowstorms, significantly impacts people's lives. However, the current forecast skill of wintertime precipitation is still low. Based on data augmentation (DA) and deep learning, we propose a DABU‐Net which improves the Global Forecast System wintertime precipitation forecast over southeastern China. We build three independent models for the forecast lead times of 24, 48, and 72 hr, respectively. After using DABU‐Net, the mean Root Mean Squared Errors (RMSEs) of the wintertime precipitation at the three lead times are reduced by 19.08%, 25.00%, and 22.37%, respectively. The threat scores (TS) are all significantly increased at the thresholds of 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20 mm day−1 for the three lead times. During heavy precipitation days, the RMSEs are decreased by 14% and TS are increased by 7% at the lead times within 48 hr. Therefore, combining DA and deep learning has great prospects in precipitation forecasting. Plain Language Summary: In this paper, we propose a deep learning‐based method to improve the forecast performance of Global Forecast System wintertime precipitation over southeastern China. Due to the imbalanced distribution of precipitation data, we use data from the three other seasons as an augmented data set for wintertime precipitation to train the deep neural network. The results show that the method can reduce the Root Mean Squared Error and improve the TS, a metric of precipitation forecast performance, of the precipitation. In particular, TS at the threshold of 20 mm day−1 are increased by 69.23%, 90.00%, and 100.00% at lead times of 24, 48, and 72 hr. The proposed method performs well during heavy precipitation days at lead times within 48 hr. Combining data augmentation with deep learning provides a successful approach to predicting precipitation.
