In contexts requiring user authentication, such as financial, legal, and administrative systems, signature verification emerges as a pivotal biometric method. Specifically, handwritten signature verification stands out prominently for document authentication. Despite the effectiveness of triplet loss similarity networks in extracting and comparing signatures with forged samples, conventional deep learning models often inadequately capture individual writing styles, resulting in suboptimal performance. Addressing this limitation, our study employs a triplet loss Siamese similarity network for offline signature verification, irrespective of the author. Through experimentation on five publicly available signature datasets—4NSigComp2012, SigComp2011, 4NSigComp2010, and BHsig260—various distance measure techniques alongside the triplet Siamese Similarity Network (tSSN) were evaluated. Our findings underscore the superiority of the tSSN approach, particularly when coupled with the Manhattan distance measure, in achieving enhanced verification accuracy, thereby demonstrating its efficacy in scenarios characterized by close signature similarity. The dispute over the authenticity of video has become a hot topic in judicial practice in recent years. Despite detection methods being updated rapidly, methods for determining authenticity have limitations, especially against high-level forgery. Deleting the integral group of pictures (GOP) length in static scenes could remove key information in the video, leading to unjust sentencing. Anyone can conduct such an operation using publicly available software, thus escaping state-of-the-art detection methods. In this paper, we propose a detection method based on noise transfer matrix analysis. A pyramid structure and a weight learning module are adopted to improve the detection rate and reduce the false positive rate. In total, 80 videos were examined through delicate anti-forensic forgery operations to verify the detection performance of the proposed method and three previously reported methods against anti-forensic forgery operations. In addition, two of the latest learning-based methods were included in our experiments to evaluate the proposed method. The experimental results show that the proposed method significantly improves the detection of frame deletion points compared with traditional and learning-based methods, especially in low false positive rate (FPR) intervals, which is meaningful in forensic science. Facial biometrics are widely used to reliably and conveniently recognize people in photos, in videos, or from real-time webcam streams. It is therefore of fundamental importance to detect synthetic faces in images in order to reduce the vulnerability of biometrics-based security systems. Furthermore, manipulated images of faces can be intentionally shared on social media to spread fake news related to the targeted individual. This paper shows how fake face recognition models may mainly rely on the information contained in the background when dealing with generated faces, thus reducing their effectiveness. Specifically, a classifier is trained to separate fake images from real ones, using their representation in a latent space. Subsequently, the faces are segmented and the background removed, and the detection procedure is performed again, observing a significant drop in classification accuracy. Finally, an explainability tool (SHAP) is used to highlight the salient areas of the image, showing that the background and face contours crucially influence the classifier decision. The current deep learning methods for copy–move forgery detection (CMFD) are mostly based on deep convolutional neural networks, which frequently discard a large amount of detail information throughout convolutional feature extraction and have poor long-range information extraction capabilities. The Transformer structure is adept at modeling global context information, but the patch-wise self-attention calculation still neglects the extraction of details in local regions that have been tampered with. A local-information-refined dual-branch network, LBRT (Local Branch Refinement Transformer), is designed in this study. It performs Transformer encoding on the global patches segmented from the image and local patches re-segmented from the global patches using a global modeling branch and a local refinement branch, respectively. The self-attention features from both branches are precisely fused, and the fused feature map is then up-sampled and decoded. Therefore, LBRT considers both global semantic information modeling and local detail information refinement. In audio copy-move forgery forensics, existing traditional methods typically first segment audio into voiced and silent segments, then compute the similarity between voiced segments to detect and locate forged segments. However, audio collected in noisy environments is difficult to segment and manually set, and heuristic similarity thresholds lack robustness. Existing deep learning methods extract features from audio and then use neural networks for binary classification, lacking the ability to locate forged segments. Therefore, for locating audio copy-move forgery segments, we have improved deep learning methods and proposed a robust localization model by CNN-based spectral analysis. In the localization model, the Feature Extraction Module extracts deep features from Mel-spectrograms, while the Correlation Detection Module automatically decides on the correlation between these deep features. Finally, the Mask Decoding Module visually locates the forged segments. Experimental results show that compared to existing methods, the localization model improves the detection accuracy of audio copy-move forgery by 3.0–6.8%and improves the average detection accuracy of forged audio with post-processing attacks such as noise, filtering, resampling, and MP3 compression by over 7.0%. With the advancement of generative models, face forgeries are becoming increasingly realistic, making face forgery detection a hot topic in research. The primary challenge in face forgery detection is the inadequate generalization performance. Numerous studies have proposed solutions to this issue; however, some methods heavily rely on the overall feature space of training samples, interfering with the extraction of key features for detection. Additionally, some studies design disentangled frameworks that overlook data diversity, limiting their effectiveness in complex real-world scenarios. This paper presents a model framework based on adversarial training and disentanglement strategy. Adversarial training is employed to generate forged samples that imitate the face forgery process, specifically targeting certain facial areas to simulate face forgery effects, which enriches data diversity. Simultaneously, the feature disentanglement strategies are employed to focus the model on forgery features, with a mutual information loss function designed to obtain the disentanglement effect. Additionally, an adversarial loss based on mutual information is designed to further enhance the disentanglement effect. On the FaceForensics++ dataset, our method achieves an AUC of 96.75%. Simultaneously, it demonstrates outstanding performance in cross-method evaluations with an accuracy of 80.32%. In cross-dataset experiments, our method also exhibits excellent performance. Due to the openness of the vehicle-to-grid (V2G) network, the upload of charging and discharging data faces severe security challenges such as eavesdropping, tampering, and forgery. These challenges can lead to privacy breaches, transmission delays, and service quality degradation. To address these issues, a V2G network architecture based on cloud–fog-end is designed, and a charging and discharging data privacy protection scheme is proposed. We employ a pseudonym mechanism to achieve the conditional privacy protection of electric vehicle (EV) users. We design a certificateless aggregate signcryption (CLASC) algorithm to guarantee the security of uploading the charging and discharging privacy data. The algorithm solves certificate management and key escrow issues, utilizes aggregate signature operations to save network bandwidth, and avoids complex computations like bilinear pairings and exponents. Additionally, the scheme delegates the aggregate verification process to the fog layer, thereby alleviating the computational burden on the cloud layer, decreasing transmission delays, and enhancing the efficiency and reliability of the V2G network. The analysis results indicate that the scheme not only meets the required security objectives, but also has lower computational and communication overheads, making it suitable for scenarios involving the charging and discharging of large-scale EVs in V2G networks. In recent years, significant advancements in the field of machine learning have influenced the domain of image restoration. While these technological advancements present prospects for improving the quality of images, they also present difficulties, particularly the proliferation of manipulated or counterfeit multimedia information on the internet. The objective of this paper is to provide a comprehensive review of existing inpainting algorithms and forgery detections, with a specific emphasis on techniques that are designed for the purpose of removing objects from digital images. In this study, we will examine various techniques encompassing conventional texture synthesis methods as well as those based on neural networks. Furthermore, we will present the artifacts frequently introduced by the inpainting procedure and assess the state-of-the-art technology for detecting such modifications. Lastly, we shall look at the available datasets and how the methods compare with each other. Having covered all the above, the outcome of this study is to provide a comprehensive perspective on the abilities and constraints of detecting object removal via the inpainting procedure in images. As a decentralized network infrastructure, the data sent to the blockchain are public and temper-evident. The cover of massive normal transactions in a blockchain network is ideal for constructing a stable and reliable covert channel to achieve one-to-many group covert communication. Existing blockchain-based covert communication schemes face challenges in balancing concealment, embedding rate and filtering efficiency, making them unsuitable for direct extension to group scenarios. Adopting a key-leakage scheme can increase the channel capacity while maintaining high concealment from external adversaries. However, it will also expose more knowledge to the receiver. A malicious receiver has the ability to steal a sender's identity or replay historical transactions to control the entire channel. In this paper, we define the capabilities of malicious receivers in blockchain-based group covert communication scenarios and propose a group covert communication scheme resistant to transaction forgery attacks. Theoretical analysis and experiments prove that our covert transactions do not have any transaction correlativity, ensuring the unique authenticity of the sender's identity while maintaining supreme concealment compared with the existing schemes. Image manipulation is easier than ever, often facilitated using accessible AI-based tools. This poses significant risks when used to disseminate disinformation, false evidence, or fraud, which highlights the need for image forgery detection and localization methods to combat this issue. While some recent detection methods demonstrate good performance, there is still a significant gap to be closed to consistently and accurately detect image manipulations in the wild. This paper aims to enhance forgery detection and localization by combining existing detection methods that complement each other. First, we analyze these methods' complementarity, with an objective measurement of complementariness, and calculation of a target performance value using a theoretical oracle fusion. Then, we propose a novel fusion method that combines the existing methods' outputs. The proposed fusion method is trained using a Generative Adversarial Network architecture. Our experiments demonstrate improved detection and localization performance on a variety of datasets. Although our fusion method is hindered by a lack of generalization, this is a common problem in supervised learning, and hence a motivation for future work. In conclusion, this work deepens our understanding of forgery detection methods' complementariness and how to harmonize them. This study focuses on the field of voice forgery detection, which is increasing in importance owing to the introduction of advanced voice editing technologies and the proliferation of smartphones. This study introduces a unique dataset that was built specifically to identify forgeries created using the "Mix Paste" technique. This editing technique can overlay audio segments from similar or different environments without creating a new timeframe, making it nearly infeasible to detect forgeries using traditional methods. The dataset consists of 4665 and 45,672 spectrogram images from 1555 original audio files and 15,224 forged audio files, respectively. The original audio was recorded using iPhone and Samsung Galaxy smartphones to ensure a realistic sampling environment. The forged files were created from these recordings and subsequently converted into spectrograms. The dataset also provided the metadata of the original voice files, offering additional context and information that could be used for analysis and detection. This dataset not only fills a gap in existing research but also provides valuable support for developing more efficient deep learning models for voice forgery detection. In performing various missions using various types of vehicles or other moving objects, the positioning of each agent within the swarm is essential. In particular, for missions that require precise location estimation, the case of malicious attacks through data forgery cannot be excluded. In this paper, we propose a highly secure and accurate localization framework utilizing a Directed-Acyclic-Graph (DAG)-based distributed ledger as an intelligent vehicle network for an Ultra-Wideband (UWB) positioning system. When performing UWB positioning, the data generated from each node are used to calculate the Time of Flight (ToF), and if any of them are tampered with, the overall positioning performance is greatly reduced. We prevented positioning performance degradation by ensuring the safety and integrity of the data by applying a chain-based logical network between each node utilized for UWB positioning. The experimental results indicated that the proposed framework was effective at providing system stability and security without affecting the UWB positioning performance. Frame duplication forgery is the most common inter-frame video forgery type to alter the contents of digital video sequences. It can be used for removing or duplicating some events within the same video sequences. Most of the existing frame duplication forgery detection methods fail to detect highly similar frames in the surveillance videos. In this paper, we propose a frame duplication forgery detection method based on textural feature analysis of video frames for digital video sequences. Firstly, we compute the single-level 2-D wavelet decomposition for each frame in the forged video sequences. Secondly, textural features of each frame are extracted using the Gray Level of the Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM). Four second-order statistical descriptors, Contrast, Correlation, Energy, and Homogeneity, are computed for the extracted textural features of GLCM. Furthermore, we calculate four statistical features from each frame (standard deviation, entropy, Root-Mean-Square RMS, and variance). Finally, the combination of GLCM's parameters and the other statistical features are then used to detect and localize the duplicated frames in the video sequences using the correlation between features. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach outperforms other state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods in terms of P r e c i s i o n , R e c a l l , and F 1 S c o r e rates. With the rise of image manipulation techniques, an increasing number of individuals find it easy to manipulate image content. Undoubtedly, this presents a significant challenge to the integrity of multimedia data, thereby fueling the advancement of image forgery detection research. A majority of current methods employ convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for image manipulation localization, yielding promising outcomes. Nevertheless, CNN-based approaches possess limitations in establishing explicit long-range relationships. Consequently, addressing the image manipulation localization task necessitates a solution that adeptly builds global context while preserving a robust grasp of low-level details. In this paper, we propose GPNet to address this challenge. GPNet combines Transformer and CNN in parallel which can build global dependency and capture low-level details efficiently. Have you ever looked at a powder diffractogram during a routine qualitative test and wondered how much of a particular powder compound is in the powder material? Several methods can work this out, but none of them could be used in our case because something was missing from each in performing a rapid quantity test for an active ingredient in a tablet. A semiquantitative method of an X-ray powder diffraction analysis of products containing sildenafil citrate is proposed. This method utilizes calibration curves for the most common compositions encountered in falsified and not-registered Viagra analogues. Sildenafil doses are established for singularly prepared powder probes of a medicinal product, and two runs of data collection are used: the first, the fast one, for the qualitative analysis of the product, and the second for selected 2θ regions for the API and identified excipients. An example of a product composed mainly of sildenafil citrate, gypsum and microcrystalline cellulose is discussed in detail. Semi-supervised consensus clustering is a promising strategy to compensate for the subjectivity of clustering and its sensitivity to design factors, with various techniques being recently proposed to integrate domain knowledge and multiple clustering partitions. In this article, we present a new approach that makes double use of domain knowledge, namely to build the initial partitions, as well as to combine them. In particular, we show how to model and integrate must-link and cannot-link constraints into the objective function of a generic consensus clustering ( C C ) framework that maximizes the similarity between the consensus partition and the input partitions, which have, in turn, been enriched with the same constraints. In addition, borrowing from the theory of functional dependencies, the integrated framework exploits the notions of deductive closure and minimal cover to take full advantage of the logical implication between constraints. Using standard UCI benchmarks, we found that the resulting algorithm, termed C C C double-constrained consensus clustering), was more effective than plain C C at combining base-constrained partitions, with an average performance improvement of 5.54%. We then argue that C C C is especially well-suited for profiling counterfeit e-commerce websites, as constraints can be acquired by leveraging specific domain features, and demonstrate its potential for detecting affiliate marketing programs. Taken together, our experiments suggest that C C C makes the process of clustering more robust and able to withstand changes in clustering algorithms, datasets, and features, with a remarkable improvement in average performance. Currently, video and digital images possess extensive utility, ranging from recreational and social media purposes to verification, military operations, legal proceedings, and penalization. The enhancement mechanisms of this medium have undergone significant advancements, rendering them more accessible and widely available to a larger population. Consequently, this has facilitated the ease with which counterfeiters can manipulate images. Convolutional neural network (CNN)-based feature extraction and detection techniques were used to carry out this task, which aims to identify the variations in image features between modified and non-manipulated areas. However, the effectiveness of the existing detection methods could be more efficient. The contributions of this paper include the introduction of a segmentation method to identify the forgery region in images with the U-Net model's improved structure. The suggested model connects the encoder and decoder pipeline by improving the convolution module and increasing the set of weights in the U-Net contraction and expansion path. In addition, the parameters of the U-Net network are optimized by using the grasshopper optimization algorithm (GOA). Experiments were carried out on the publicly accessible image tempering detection evaluation dataset from the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Automation (CASIA) to assess the efficacy of the suggested strategy. The results show that the U-Net modifications significantly improve the overall segmentation results compared to other models. The research centers around ST25, a recently acclaimed rice variety lauded as Vietnam's premier offering. However, its ability to substantiate its origin is impeded by the rampant proliferation of counterfeit derivatives within the market. A distinctive methodology is posited herein, intertwining the attributes of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) analyses, augmented using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The primary objective is to meticulously ascertain the unadulterated geographic provenance of the ST25 rice cultivar. The findings unequivocally underscore the emergence of a conspicuous taxonomy within the ST25 rice samples sourced from Soc Trang, underpinned by the utilization of both FTIR and ICP-MS datasets. Remarkably, the discernment of eight elemental constituents (27Al, 59Co, 44Ca, 57Fe, 60Ni, 63Cu, 93Nb, and 98Mo) has been adjudicated as pivotal in ascribing geospatial classification. The widespread availability of digital image-processing software has given rise to various forms of image manipulation and forgery, which can pose a significant challenge in different fields, such as law enforcement, journalism, etc. It can also lead to privacy concerns. We are proposing that a privacy-preserving framework to encrypt images before processing them is vital to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of sensitive images, especially those used for the purpose of investigation. To address these challenges, we propose a novel solution that detects image forgeries while preserving the privacy of the images. Our method proposes a privacy-preserving framework that encrypts the images before processing them, making it difficult for unauthorized individuals to access them. The proposed method utilizes a compression quality analysis in the encrypted domain to detect the presence of forgeries in images by determining if the forged portion (dummy image) has a compression quality different from that of the original image (featured image) in the encrypted domain. This approach effectively localizes the tampered portions of the image, even for small pixel blocks of size 10 × 10 in the encrypted domain. Counterfeit products have become a pervasive problem in the global marketplace, necessitating effective strategies to protect both consumers and brands. This study examines the role of cybersecurity in addressing counterfeiting issues, specifically focusing on a multi-level grayscale watermark-based authentication system. The system comprises a generator responsible for creating a secure 2D code, and an authenticator designed to extract watermark information and verify product authenticity. To authenticate the secure 2D code, we propose various features, including the analysis of the spatial domain, frequency domain, and grayscale watermark distribution. Furthermore, we emphasize the importance of selecting appropriate interpolation methods to enhance counterfeit detection. Hyperspectral data analysis is being utilized as an effective and compelling tool for image processing, providing unprecedented levels of information and insights for various applications. In this manuscript, we have compiled and presented a comprehensive overview of recent advances in hyperspectral data analysis that can provide assistance for the development of customized techniques for hyperspectral document images. We review the fundamental concepts of hyperspectral imaging, discuss various techniques for data acquisition, and examine state-of-the-art approaches to the preprocessing, feature extraction, and classification of hyperspectral data by taking into consideration the complexities of document images. We also explore the possibility of utilizing hyperspectral imaging for addressing critical challenges in document analysis, including document forgery, ink age estimation, and text extraction from degraded or damaged documents. Finally, we discuss the current limitations of hyperspectral imaging and identify future research directions in this rapidly evolving field. This work is concerned with the vulnerability of a network industrial control system to cyber-attacks, which is a critical issue nowadays. This is because an attack on a controlled process can damage or destroy it. These attacks use long short-term memory (LSTM) neural networks, which model dynamical processes. This means that the attacker may not know the physical nature of the process; an LSTM network is sufficient to mislead the process operator. Our experimental studies were conducted in an industrial control network containing a magnetic levitation process. The model training, evaluation, and structure selection are described. The chosen LSTM network very well mimicked the considered process. Finally, based on the obtained results, we formulated possible protection methods against the considered types of cyber-attack. With the wide application of visual sensors and development of digital image processing technology, image copy-move forgery detection (CMFD) has become more and more prevalent. Copy-move forgery is copying one or several areas of an image and pasting them into another part of the same image, and CMFD is an efficient means to expose this. There are improper uses of forged images in industry, the military, and daily life. In this paper, we present an efficient end-to-end deep learning approach for CMFD, using a span-partial structure and attention mechanism (SPA-Net). The SPA-Net extracts feature roughly using a pre-processing module and finely extracts deep feature maps using the span-partial structure and attention mechanism as a SPA-net feature extractor module. The span-partial structure is designed to reduce the redundant feature information, while the attention mechanism in the span-partial structure has the advantage of focusing on the tamper region and suppressing the original semantic information. To explore the correlation between high-dimension feature points, a deep feature matching module assists SPA-Net to locate the copy-move areas by computing the similarity of the feature map. A feature upsampling module is employed to upsample the features to their original size and produce a copy-move mask. Furthermore, the training strategy of SPA-Net without pretrained weights has a balance between copy-move and semantic features, and then the module can capture more features of copy-move forgery areas and reduce the confusion from semantic objects. In the experiment, we do not use pretrained weights or models from existing networks such as VGG16, which would bring the limitation of the network paying more attention to objects other than copy-move areas.To deal with this problem, we generated a SPANet-CMFD dataset by applying various processes to the benchmark images from SUN and COCO datasets, and we used existing copy-move forgery datasets, CMH, MICC-F220, MICC-F600, GRIP, Coverage, and parts of USCISI-CMFD, together with our generated SPANet-CMFD dataset, as the training set to train our model. In addition, the SPANet-CMFD dataset could play a big part in forgery detection, such as deepfakes. We employed the CASIA and CoMoFoD datasets as testing datasets to verify the performance of our proposed method. The Precision, Recall, and F1 are calculated to evaluate the CMFD results. Digital images have become an important carrier for people to access information in the information age. However, with the development of this technology, digital images have become vulnerable to illegal access and tampering, to the extent that they pose a serious threat to personal privacy, social order, and national security. Therefore, image forensic techniques have become an important research topic in the field of multimedia information security. In recent years, deep learning technology has been widely applied in the field of image forensics and the performance achieved has significantly exceeded the conventional forensic algorithms. This survey compares the state-of-the-art image forensic techniques based on deep learning in recent years. The image forensic techniques are divided into passive and active forensics. In passive forensics, forgery detection techniques are reviewed, and the basic framework, evaluation metrics, and commonly used datasets for forgery detection are presented. The performance, advantages, and disadvantages of existing methods are also compared and analyzed according to the different types of detection. In active forensics, robust image watermarking techniques are overviewed, and the evaluation metrics and basic framework of robust watermarking techniques are presented. The technical characteristics and performance of existing methods are analyzed based on the different types of attacks on images. At present, anti-counterfeiting schemes based on the combination of anti-counterfeiting patterns and two-dimensional codes is a research hotspot in digital anti-counterfeiting technology. However, many existing identification schemes rely on special equipment such as scanners and microscopes; there are few methods for authentication that use smartphones. In particular, the ability to classify blurry pattern images is weak, leading to a low recognition rate when using mobile terminals. In addition, the existing methods need a sufficient number of counterfeit patterns for model training, which is difficult to acquire in practical scenarios. Therefore, an authentication scheme for an anti-counterfeiting pattern captured by smartphones is proposed in this paper, featuring a single classifier consisting of two modules. A feature extraction module based on U-Net extracts the features of the input images; then, the extracted feature is input to a one-class classification module. The second stage features a boundary-optimized OCSVM classification method. The classifier only needs to learn positive samples to achieve effective identification. The experimental results show that the proposed approach has a better ability to distinguish the genuine and counterfeit anti-counterfeiting pattern images. Highly deceptive deepfake technologies have caused much controversy, e.g., artificial intelligence-based software can automatically generate nude photos and deepfake images of anyone. This brings considerable threats to both individuals and society. In addition to video and image forgery, audio forgery poses many hazards but lacks sufficient attention. Furthermore, existing works have only focused on voice spoof detection, neglecting the identification of spoof algorithms. It is of great value to recognize the algorithm for synthesizing spoofing voices in traceability. This study presents a system combining voice spoof detection and algorithm recognition. In contrast, the generalizability of the spoof detection model is discussed from the perspective of embedding space and decision boundaries to face the voice spoofing attacks generated by spoof algorithms that are not available in the training set. This study presents a method for voice spoof algorithms recognition based on incremental learning, taking into account data flow scenarios where new spoof algorithms keep appearing in reality. Our experimental results on the LA dataset of ASVspoof show that our system can improve the generalization of spoof detection and identify new voice spoof algorithms without catastrophic forgetting. Image copy-move forgery is a common simple tampering technique. To address issues such as high time complexity in most copy-move forgery detection algorithms and difficulty detecting forgeries in smooth regions, this paper proposes an image copy-move forgery detection algorithm based on fused features and density clustering. Firstly, the algorithm combines two detection methods, speeded up robust features (SURF) and accelerated KAZE (A-KAZE), to extract descriptive features by setting a low contrast threshold. Then, the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) algorithm removes mismatched pairs and reduces false positives. To improve the accuracy of forgery localization, the algorithm uses the original image and the image transformed by the affine matrix to compare similarities in the same position in order to locate the forged region. The proposed method was tested on two datasets (Ardizzone and CoMoFoD). The experimental results show that the method effectively improved the accuracy of forgery detection in smooth regions, reduced computational complexity, and exhibited strong robustness against post-processing operations such as rotation, scaling, and noise addition. Definition: Fluorescence has been identified as an advantageous feature in smart fabrics, notably for the protection of humans during outdoor athletic activities, as well as for preventing counterfeiting and determining authenticity. Fluorescence in smart fabrics is achieved using dendrimers, rare earth metal compounds, and fluorescent dye. The principal method for producing fluorescent fabrics is to immerse the sample in a solution containing fluorescent agents. However, covalent connections between fluorophores and textile substates should be established to improve the stability and intensity of the fluorescent characteristics. Deepfakes are becoming increasingly ubiquitous, particularly in facial manipulation. Numerous researchers and companies have released multiple datasets of face deepfakes labeled to indicate different methods of forgery. However, naming these labels is often arbitrary and inconsistent, leading to the fact that most researchers now choose to use only one of the datasets for research work. However, researchers must use these datasets in practical applications and conduct traceability research. In this study, we employ some models to extract forgery features from various deepfake datasets and utilize the K-means clustering method to identify datasets with similar feature values. We analyze the feature values using the Calinski Harabasz Index method. Our findings reveal that datasets with the same or similar labels in different deepfake datasets exhibit different forgery features. We proposed the KCE system to solve this problem, which combines multiple deepfake datasets according to feature similarity. We analyzed four groups of test datasets and found that the model trained based on KCE combined data faced unknown data types, and Calinski Harabasz scored 42.3% higher than combined by forged names. Furthermore, it is 2.5% higher than the model using all data, although the latter has more training data. It shows that this method improves the generalization ability of the model. SDN is a modern internet architecture that has transformed the traditional internet structure in recent years. By segregating the control and data planes of the network, SDN facilitates centralized management, scalability, dynamism, and programmability. However, this very feature makes SDN controllers vulnerable to cyber attacks, which can cause network-wide crashes, unlike conventional networks. One of the most stealthy attacks that SDN controllers face is the relay link forgery attack in topology deception attacks. Such an attack can result in erroneous overall views for SDN controllers, leading to network functionality breakdowns and even crashes. In this article, we introduce the Relay Link Forgery Attack detection model based on the Transformer deep learning model for the first time. The model (RLFAT) detects relay link forgery attacks by extracting features from network flows received by SDN controllers. A dataset of network flows received by SDN controllers from a large number of SDN networks with different topologies was collected. Finally, the Relay-based Link Forgery Attack detection model was trained on this dataset, and its performance was evaluated using accuracy, recall, F1 score, and AUC metrics. For better validation, comparative experiments were conducted with some common deep learning models. Quantum secret sharing (QSS) is an important branch of quantum cryptography. Identity authentication is a significant means to achieve information protection, which can effectively confirm the identity information of both communication parties. Due to the importance of information security, more and more communications require identity authentication. We propose a d-level (t , n) threshold QSS scheme in which both sides of the communication use mutually unbiased bases for mutual identity authentication. In the secret recovery phase, the sharing of secrets that only the participant holds will not be disclosed or transmitted. Therefore, external eavesdroppers will not get any information about secrets at this phase. This protocol is more secure, effective, and practical. Digital signature schemes are practical mechanisms for achieving message integrity, authenticity, and non-repudiation. Several asymmetric encryption techniques have been proposed in the literature, each with its proper limitations. RSA and El Gamal prove their robustness, but are unsuitable in several domains due to their computational complexity. Other asymmetric encryption schemes have been proposed to provide a cloud homomorphic encryption service, where the researchers focused only on how to ensure the homomorphic property. This paper proposes a new digital signature scheme dedicated to a family of encryption techniques. The proposal consists of two parts: the first focused on the secret key, and the second focused on the public key. Signature validity checking was performed by multiplying these two parts to reform again the sender's public key, then comparing the result with the decrypted message. The validation of the decrypted message guarantees data integrity, where the signer public key is used to ensure authenticity. The proposed scheme takes a shorter execution time for the entire signature operation, including signing and verification, compared to other modern techniques. The analysis showed its robustness against private key recovery and forgery attacks. The implementation results of the proposed scheme showed promising performance in terms of complexity and robustness. The technology for detecting forged images is good at detecting known forgery methods. It trains neural networks using many original and corresponding forged images created with known methods. However, when encountering unseen forgery methods, the technology performs poorly. Recently, one suggested approach to tackle this problem is to use a hand-crafted generator of forged images to create a range of fake images, which can then be used to train the neural network. However, the aforementioned method has limited detection performance when encountering unseen forging techniques that the hand-craft generator has not accounted for. To overcome the limitations of existing methods, in this paper, we adopt a meta-learning approach to develop a highly adaptive detector for identifying new forging techniques. The proposed method trains a forged image detector using meta-learning techniques, making it possible to fine-tune the detector with only a few new forged samples. The proposed method inputs a small number of the forged images to the detector and enables the detector to adjust its weights based on the statistical features of the input forged images, allowing the detection of forged images with similar characteristics. The proposed method achieves significant improvement in detecting forgery methods, with IoU improvements ranging from 35.4% to 127.2% and AUC improvements ranging from 2.0% to 48.9%, depending on the forgery method. These results show that the proposed method significantly improves detection performance with only a small number of samples and demonstrates better performance compared to current state-of-the-art methods in most scenarios. In the field of forensic imaging, it is important to be able to extract a camera fingerprint from one or a small set of images known to have been taken by the same camera (or image sensor). Note that we are using the word fingerprint because it is a piece of information extracted from images that can be used to identify an individual source camera. This technique is very important for certain security and digital forensic situations. Camera fingerprint is based on a certain kind of random noise present in all image sensors that is due to manufacturing imperfections and is, thus, unique and impossible to avoid. Photo response nonuniformity (PRNU) has become the most widely used method for source camera identification (SCI). In this paper, a set of attacks is designed and applied to a PRNU-based SCI system, and the success of each method is systematically assessed both in the case of still images and in the case of video. An attack method is defined as any processing that minimally alters image quality and is designed to fool PRNU detectors or, in general, any camera fingerprint detector. The success of an attack is assessed as the increment in the error rate of the SCI system. The PRNU-based SCI system was taken from an outstanding reference that is publicly available. Among the results of this work, the following are remarkable: the use of a systematic and extensive procedure to test SCI methods, very thorough testing of PRNU with more than 2000 test images, and the finding of some very effective attacks on PRNU-based SCI. Recently, signature verification systems have been widely adopted for verifying individuals based on their handwritten signatures, especially in forensic and commercial transactions. Generally, feature extraction and classification tremendously impact the accuracy of system authentication. Feature extraction is challenging for signature verification systems due to the diverse forms of signatures and sample circumstances. Current signature verification techniques demonstrate promising results in identifying genuine and forged signatures. However, the overall performance of skilled forgery detection remains rigid to deliver high contentment. Furthermore, most of the current signature verification techniques demand a large number of learning samples to increase verification accuracy. This is the primary disadvantage of using deep learning, as the figure of signature samples is mainly restricted to the functional application of the signature verification system. In addition, the system inputs are scanned signatures that comprise noisy pixels, a complicated background, blurriness, and contrast decay. The main challenge has been attaining a balance between noise and data loss, since some essential information is lost during preprocessing, probably influencing the subsequent stages of the system. This paper tackles the aforementioned issues by presenting four main steps: preprocessing, multifeature fusion, discriminant feature selection using a genetic algorithm based on one class support vector machine (OCSVM-GA), and a one-class learning strategy to address imbalanced signature data in the practical application of a signature verification system. The suggested method employs three databases of signatures: SID-Arabic handwritten signatures, CEDAR, and UTSIG. Experimental results depict that the proposed approach outperforms current systems in terms of false acceptance rate (FAR), false rejection rate (FRR), and equal error rate (EER). The area of forgery detection of documents is considered an active field of research in digital forensics. One of the most common issues that investigators struggle with is circled around the selection of the approach in terms of accuracy, complexity, cost, and ease of use. The literature includes many approaches that are based on either image processing techniques or spectrums analysis. However, most of the available approaches have issues related to complexity and accuracy. This article suggests an unsupervised forgery detection framework that utilizes the correlations among the spectrums of documents' matters in generating a weighted network for the tested documents. The network, then, is clustered using several unsupervised clustering algorithms. The detection rate is measured according to the number of network clusters. Based on the obtained results, our approach provides high accuracy using the Louvain clustering algorithms, while the use of the updated version of the DBSAN was more successful when testing many documents at the same time. With the advent and rapid development of image tampering technology, it has become harmful to many aspects of our society. Thus, image tampering detection has been increasingly important. Although current forgery detection methods have achieved some success, the scale of the tampered areas in each forgery image are different, and previous methods do not take this into account. In this paper, we believe that the inability of the network to accommodate tampered regions of various sizes is the main reason for the low precision. To address the mentioned problem, we propose a neural network architecture called CAU-Net, which adds residual propagation and feedback, attention gate and Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling with CBAM to the U-Net. The Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling with CBAM can capture information from multiple scales and adapt to differently sized target areas. In addition, CAU-Net can solve the vanishing gradient issue and suppress the weight of untampered regions, and CAU-Net is an end-to-end network without redundant image processing; thus, it is fast to detect suspicious images. In the end, we optimize the proposed network structure by ablation study, and the experimental results and visualization results demonstrate that our network has a better performance on CASIA and NIST16 compared with state of the art methods. There are many techniques for faking videos that can alter the face in a video to look like another person. This type of fake video has caused a number of information security crises. Many deep learning-based detection methods have been developed for these forgery methods. These detection methods require a large amount of training data and thus cannot develop detectors quickly when new forgery methods emerge. In addition, traditional forgery detection refers to a classifier that outputs real or fake versions of the input images. If the detector can output a prediction of the fake area, i.e., a segmentation version of forgery detection, it will be a great help for forensic work. Thus, in this paper, we propose a GAN-based deep learning approach that allows detection of forged regions using a smaller number of training samples. The generator part of the proposed architecture is used to synthesize predicted segmentation which indicates the fakeness of each pixel. To solve the classification problem, a threshold on the percentage of fake pixels is used to decide whether the input image is fake. For detecting fake videos, frames of the video are extracted and it is detected whether they are fake. If the percentage of fake frames is higher than a given threshold, the video is classified as fake. Video splicing forgery is a common object-based intra-frame forgery operation. It refers to copying some regions, usually moving foreground objects, from one video to another. The splicing video usually contains two different modes of camera sensor pattern noise (SPN). Therefore, the SPN, which is called a camera fingerprint, can be used to detect video splicing operations. The paper proposes a video splicing detection and localization scheme based on SPN, which consists of detecting moving objects, estimating reference SPN, and calculating signed peak-to-correlation energy (SPCE). Firstly, foreground objects of the frame are extracted, and then, reference SPN are trained using frames without foreground objects. Finally, the SPCE is calculated at the block level to distinguish forged objects from normal objects. Experimental results demonstrate that the method can accurately locate the tampered area and has higher detection accuracy. The Scientific Committee on Cosmetic and Non-Food Products has identified 26 compounds that may cause contact allergy in consumers when present in concentrations above certain legal thresholds in a product. Twenty-four of these compounds are volatiles and can be analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) or electronic nose (e-nose) technologies. This manuscript first describes the use of the GC-MS approach to identify the main volatile compounds present in the original perfumes and their counterfeit samples. The second part of this work focusses on the ability of an e-nose system to discriminate between the original fragrances and their counterfeits. The analyses were carried out using the headspace of the aqueous solutions. GC-MS analysis revealed the identification of 10 allergens in the perfume samples, some of which were only found in the imitated fragrances. The e-nose system achieved a fair discrimination between most of the fragrances analyzed, with the counterfeit fragrances being clearly separated from the original perfumes. It is shown that associating the e-nose system to the appropriate classifier successfully solved the classification task. In this paper, we propose a lightweight deep learning network (DRRU-Net) for image-splicing forgery detection. DRRU-Net is an architecture that combines RRU-Net for learning the visual content of images and image acquisition artifacts, and a JPEG artifact learning module for learning compression artifacts in the discrete cosine transform (DCT) domain. The backbone model of a network based on pre-training, such as CAT-Net, a representative network for image forgery detection, has a relatively large number of parameters, resulting in overfitting in a small dataset, which hinders generalization performance. Therefore, in this paper, the learning module is designed to learn the characteristics according to the DCT domain in real time without pre-training. In the experiments, the proposed network architecture and training method of DRRU-Net show that the network parameters are smaller than CAT-Net, the forgery detection performance is better than that of RRU-Net, and the generalization performance for various datasets can be improved. In this study, a snapshot-based hyperspectral imaging (HSI) algorithm that converts RGB images to HSI images is designed using the Raspberry Pi environment. A Windows-based Python application is also developed to control the Raspberry Pi camera and processor. The mean gray values (MGVs) of two distinct regions of interest (ROIs) are selected from three samples of 100 NTD Taiwanese currency notes and compared with three samples of counterfeit 100 NTD notes. Results suggest that the currency notes can be easily differentiated on the basis of MGV values within shorter wavelengths, between 400 nm and 500 nm. However, the MGV values are similar in longer wavelengths. Moreover, if an ROI has a security feature, then the classification method is considerably more efficient. A banknote is a currency issued by a country, and it was first introduced in the 16th century. The counterfeiting of banknotes by cunning criminals became a great challenge with the current advanced technology. Forensic scientists are using chemical methods, such as Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy for differentiating genuine and counterfeit banknotes. However, the FTIR spectra of banknotes may require further pattern recognition analysis due to their high similarities. In this paper, a fuzzy graph-based algorithm for authentication of the FTIR spectrum, namely chemometrics fuzzy autocatalytic set (c-FACS), is used to discriminate between genuine and counterfeit hundred Ringgit Malaysian (RM100) banknotes. The results show that the genuine and counterfeit RM100 banknotes have slightly distinct patterns when analyzed using c-FACS. In addition, the results are compared with RM50 banknotes, and the results reveal that the nodes or dominant axis varies between the two banknotes. To verify the reliability of the results, the results obtained via c-FACS are compared with principal component analysis (PCA). The c-FACS showed better performances as compared to PCA in terms of time consumption and observation. Recently, digital images have been considered the primary key for many applications, such as forensics, medical diagnosis, and social networks. Image forgery detection is considered one of the most complex digital image applications. More profoundly, image splicing was investigated as one of the common types of image forgery. As a result, we proposed a convolutional neural network (CNN) model for detecting splicing forged images in real-time and with high accuracy, with a small number of parameters as compared with the recently published approaches. The presented model is a lightweight model with only four convolutional layers and four max-pooling layers, which is suitable for most environments that have limitations in their resources. A detailed comparison was conducted between the proposed model and the other investigated models. The sensitivity and specificity of the proposed model over CASIA 1.0, CASIA 2.0, and CUISDE datasets are determined. The proposed model achieved an accuracy of 99.1% in detecting forgery on the CASIA 1.0 dataset, 99.3% in detecting forgery on the CASIA 2.0 dataset, and 100% in detecting forgery on the CUISDE dataset. The proposed model achieved high accuracy, with a small number of parameters. Therefore, specialists can use the proposed approach as an automated tool for real-time forged image detection. Media content forgery is widely spread over the Internet and has raised severe societal concerns. With the development of deep learning, new technologies such as generative adversarial networks (GANs) and media forgery technology have already been utilized for politicians and celebrity forgery, which has a terrible impact on society. Existing GAN-generated face detection approaches rely on detecting image artifacts and the generated traces. However, these methods are model-specific, and the performance is deteriorated when faced with more complicated methods. What's more, it is challenging to identify forgery images with perturbations such as JPEG compression, gamma correction, and other disturbances. In this paper, we propose a global–local facial fusion network, namely GLFNet, to fully exploit the local physiological and global receptive features. Specifically, GLFNet consists of two branches, i.e., the local region detection branch and the global detection branch. The former branch detects the forged traces from the facial parts, such as the iris and pupils. The latter branch adopts a residual connection to distinguish real images from fake ones. GLFNet obtains forged traces through various ways by combining physiological characteristics with deep learning. The method is stable with physiological properties when learning the deep learning features. As a result, it is more robust than the single-class detection methods. Referring to the widespread problem of diploma forgery in Indonesian educational institutions as the impetus for UNTIRTA's latest vision as an "Integrated, Smart, and Green University," UNTIRTA intends to use blockchain technology to prevent diploma forgery and overcome issues related to existing platforms at UNTIRTA, such as frequent connection interruptions when accessed by a large number of users simultaneously. Before using blockchain technology, UNTIRTA must evaluate several readiness issues. This study presented the interpretative structural modeling (ISM) method to assess the primary preparedness elements for adopting blockchain technology in universities and sought to provide pertinent strategy ideas for UNTIRTA's blockchain technology application. The results reveal sixteen major parameters that influence the adoption readiness of blockchain technology at UNTIRTA. The primary variables impacting the adoption and deployment of blockchain technology at UNTIRTA are management and employee support and a grasp of the technology. To realize UNTIRTA's mission as an "Integrated, Smart, and Green University", the proposed method entails determining an initial agreement in which all stakeholders have a shared understanding and commitment to Blockchain technology implementation at UNTIRTA. Automatic Speaker Verification (ASV) has its benefits compared to other biometric verification methods, such as face recognition. It is convenient, low cost, and more privacy protected, so it can start being used for various practical applications. However, voice verification systems are vulnerable to unknown spoofing attacks, and need to be upgraded with the pace of forgery techniques. This paper investigates a low-cost attacking scenario in which a playback device is used to impersonate the real speaker. The replay attack only needs a recording and playback device to complete the process, so it can be one of the most widespread spoofing methods. In this paper, we explore and investigate some spectral clues in the high sampling rate recording signals, and utilize this property to effectively detect the replay attack. First, a small scale genuine-replay dataset of high sample rates are constructed using some low-cost mobile terminals; then, the signal features are investigated by comparing their spectra; machine learning models are also applied for evaluation. The emergence of advanced machine learning or deep learning techniques such as autoencoders and generative adversarial networks, can generate images known as deepfakes, which astonishingly resemble the realistic images. These deepfake images are hard to distinguish from the real images and are being used unethically against famous personalities such as politicians, celebrities, and social workers. Hence, we propose a method to detect these deepfake images using a light weighted convolutional neural network (CNN). Our research is conducted with Deep Fake Detection Challenge (DFDC) full and sample datasets, where we compare the performance of our proposed model with various state-of-the-art pretrained models such as VGG-19, Xception and Inception-ResNet-v2. Furthermore, we perform the experiments with various resolutions maintaining 1:1 and 9:16 aspect ratios, which have not been explored for DFDC datasets by any other groups to date. Thus, the proposed model can flexibly accommodate various resolutions and aspect ratios, without being constrained to a specific resolution or aspect ratio for any type of image classification problem. While most of the reported research is limited to sample or preview DFDC datasets only, we have also attempted the testing on full DFDC datasets and presented the results. Contemplating the fact that the detailed results and resource analysis for various scenarios are provided in this research, the proposed deepfake detection method is anticipated to pave new avenues for deepfake detection research, that engages with DFDC datasets. Despite the huge advances in digital communications in the last decade, physical documents are still the most common media for information transfer, especially in the official context. However, the readily available document processing devices and techniques (printers, scanners, etc.) facilitate the illegal manipulation or imitation of original documents by forgers. Therefore, verification of the authenticity and detection of forgery is of paramount importance to all agencies receiving printed documents. We suggest an unsupervised forgery detection framework that can distinguish whether a document is forged based on the spectroscopy of the document's ink. The spectra of the tested documents inks (original and questioned) were obtained using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) technology. Then, a correlation matrix of the spectra was calculated for both the original and questioned documents together, which were then transformed into an adjacency matrix aiming at converting it into a weighted network under the concept of graph theory. Clustering algorithms were then applied to the network to determine the number of clusters. The proposed approach was tested under a variety of scenarios and different types of printers (e.g., inkjet, laser, and photocopiers) as well as different kinds of papers. The findings show that the proposed approach provided a high rate of accuracy in identifying forged documents and a high detection speed. Image manipulation of the human face is a trending topic of image forgery, which is done by transforming or altering face regions using a set of techniques to accomplish desired outputs. Manipulated face images are spreading on the internet due to the rise of social media, causing various societal threats. It is challenging to detect the manipulated face images effectively because (i) there has been a limited number of manipulated face datasets because most datasets contained images generated by GAN models; (ii) previous studies have mainly extracted handcrafted features and fed them into machine learning algorithms to perform manipulated face detection, which was complicated, error-prone, and laborious; and (iii) previous models failed to prove why their model achieved good performances. In order to address these issues, this study introduces a large face manipulation dataset containing vast variations of manipulated images created and manually validated using various manipulation techniques. The dataset is then used to train a fine-tuned RegNet model to detect manipulated face images robustly and efficiently. Finally, a manipulated region analysis technique is implemented to provide some in-depth insights into the manipulated regions. The experimental results revealed that the RegNet model showed the highest classification accuracy of 89% on the proposed dataset compared to standard deep learning models. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
