The transition to digital economy based on new technologies becomes one of the main tools of innovative technological development in Russia. This research examines the means for implementing digital technologies that effectively enable rapid innovative development of the Russian economy. I hypothesise it is necessary to develop a methodological system of techniques and algorithms of artificial intelligence filling neural networks of digital technologies for managing finance in the conditions of uncertainty and risk. A wide variety of methods was used in the study, including dialectic and integrated approaches, fundamental economic laws, deductive and inductive methods, statistical comparisons, descriptive methods of analysis. Moreover, I apply such methodologies as the theory of constraints (TOC), methods of lean manufacturing, Kanban-methods as a tool of IT-management, scrum methodology for software development, and other. The statistical and empirical data confirm the validity of the conclusions and results. The paper considers how to create capital in the form of innovative products and technologies in the digital environment. As a result, the study has revealed relations between digital technologies and engineering account, economic analysis, material production, highly skilled creative work, environmental protection, and sustainable development. The article explains how to include automated information and analytical functions for the compensation and generation of missing information into digital technologies. The transition from the database to the knowledge base, which fills neural networks with the artificial intelligence, provides the generation of management decisions and sustainable innovative development in the conditions of uncertainty and risk. The paper recommends currencies for digital payments. I conclude that applying the suggested recommendations is necessary for providing digital technologies with the algorithms of extraction and implementation of knowledge from the data asset, as well as for compensating for the missing information, generating information flows, and making decisions in the conditions of uncertainty and risk. The research can be of use for PhD students, doctoral students, scholars and practitioners in the field of economy.

Operational management of material resources has become a major concern for machinery enterprises. Growing interest in this issue rests on multiple reasons, primarily increasing the costs of material resources, their significant effect on efficiency and competitiveness, the complexity of cutting-edge processes involved in resource management, and economic and political turbulence worldwide. In an era when new business processes are emerging, and the older ones are being improved and accelerated, digitalisation is becoming one of the major drivers for innovation in enterprise management. Readjustments also occur in the infrastructure and fabric of departments and staff, alongside the methods of motivation and performance assessment. This paper presents scientific findings from domestic and international research to consider the most urgent challenges that the machinery industry faces in its ongoing digitalisation. Specific attention is paid to the external and internal environment of machinery enterprises, their ability to adapt to dynamic fluctuations in demand, and unpredictable changes in supply and consumption. Further, the authors develop a range of methods and tools aimed at improving efficiency of calculation, and integrating a whole-scale approach to provide an enterprise with materials of the required quantity and quality in a timely manner, with the lowest costs and optimal reserves.

In Russia, as well as in the globe, there is a substantial imbalance in proportions of men and women who choose engineering undergraduate programs. As previous research demonstrated, this phenomenon can be explained by the gender stereotypes about better natural abilities of men to understand mathematical and engineering subjects. The paper is aimed to define the prevalence of gender stereotypes and gender differences in the choice of engineering majors, and explore associations between gender bias and the reasons for major choice. The survey data about undergraduate engineering students collected in one regional Russian university with strong focus on technical science was utilized (N = 1791). According to our results, the most widespread gender stereotypes among engineering students are that men better understand physical phenomena and patterns and have more developed technical and logical reasonings, while women are more neat and diligent. Reasons for engineering program choice do not significantly differ for men and women students. However, men students affected by gender stereotypes more often reported their wish to get a good job after graduation as a reason for major choice. While, women students, affected by gender stereotypes about better natural math abilities of men, more often reported that their major choice was made by the influence of family. Moreover, women are less satisfied with their choice of university and undergraduate program.

The role of European documents in the development of learning outcomes is described in the paper. In addition to the main European documents describing the qualification level of graduates, the sectoral frameworks provide a benchmark for learning outcomes in the profile of the program. Compliance with the framework standard is the foundation for a study program to receive a quality label. As an example, the EQAS-Food and EUR-ACE® standards for study programs in the field of food science and engineering are considered. The focus on the framework standards ensure transparency and harmonization of study programs with European best practice.

Introduction. The article discusses two types of corporate-level reengineering of investment and construction activities: the qualitative transformation of capital construction projects (CCP) and technological processes. The implementation of the reengineering measures in respect of the CCP is studied as a dominant. All the mutual relations and interactions of anthropotechnical system elements and external environment are assembled around the CCP. The CCP is considered as the expression of the achieved result. Materials and methods. The study used legislative and normative documents regulating investment and construction activities in the Russian Federation as well as papers of domestic and foreign scientists. The examined normative and methodological materials allowed identifying criteria and factors of classification of reengineering measures at the level of “building project – building site” and on this basis establishing the composition of the reengineering of a CCP and reengineering of technological processes. Results. The article examines the normative component of the practical activity of the reengineering. It provides the following terms regulated by the current legislative base of construction: reconstruction, major repair, technical re-equipment, restoration. Separately, the definition of CCP reprofiling is suggested. Structural and functional relations within CCP and technological processes reengineering are studied. Conclusions. The research has demonstrated that the reengineering is an efficient mechanism of formation of a comfortable living environment based on achievements of science and technology, record and complete satisfaction of consumers’ demands, as well as the creation of competitive advantages for not only domestic construction establishments but also the whole national construction industry. All this made it possible to determine the genesis of the corporate level reengineering of investment and construction activities and to establish a structure of the CCP reengineering. In conclusion, the article presented the main directions for improving the efficiency of the reengineering mechanism. The role of information and analytical activity organization quality in this system of the measures is specially marked.

The article is devoted to the research of trends and mechanisms of STEM-innovations implementation in Ukraine. STEM – a series or sequence of educational programs designed to solve the problem of the scientific and engineering specialists lack for high-tech industries and raise the competitiveness of the state. It is a priority in state policy towards economy strengthening and state social order to the educational sector. Consequently, relevance of STEM in the modern European institutional space is beyond doubt. In this regard, attention is focused on measuring the understanding of STEM and its essence, on the prospects and difficulties of implementing these social technologies in Ukrainian realities. The paper presents the results of quantitative research conducted on the basis of author’s methodologies, members of teaching staff, student youth, expert group and parents of high school students. On the basis of conducted monitoring results calculation, comparing the answers of different categories of respondents, the authors attempt to summarize the STEM technologies state in modern Ukrainian society and come to the conclusion that the implementation of relevant innovations contributes to the dissemination of dialogue among all participants in the educational process, parents and potential employers. Conducted research makes it possible to state the following. Educators of experimental educational institutions have a sufficiently high level of motivation to innovate, open to cooperation and understand the importance of innovations in the modern Ukrainian school. STEM topics of interest to students are clearly outlined. Therefore, the majorities of polled students support the STEM direction and understand its prospects but do not understand in what sphere and where they will work in the future, even choosing the STEM profession. The results of the study showed that modern parents are motivated to influence the future profession choice their own children. However, the direct parents’ influence on the future profession choosing is limited because a significant number of high school students have their own opinion on this issue, which is in part or does not coincide, with parents. STEM innovations create a new space for a steady dialogue between educators, parents and employers for the development of the economies of the states and engage youth in STEM industry.

One of the most important tasks in our country is the further development of the economy of industrial production, including increasing the depth of redistribution of domestic industrial products, predetermining the need for automation and computerization of machine-building production, the creation of modern methods of the digital economy in terms of optimizing the supply curve. This leads to the formulation of the tasks of improving the planning and management system of engineering production. Machine-building enterprises need a capacity planning system that would objectively reflect the established economic situation in order to make appropriate management decisions. The main objective of planning is the formation of a production schedule, the maximum load of work centers, taking into account the existing restrictions and priorities of orders. The paper shows enlarged or inter-workshop planning of a production schedule for a long planning horizon and detailed or operational intra-workshop planning, taking into account the production schedule, the availability of work centers and production facilities. A comparison of the planning levels. At the stage of enlarged planning, a production schedule is planned, which is a calendar schedule for the execution of production routing maps and allows to evaluate the feasibility of received orders for production by the date of need, to reschedule the constructed schedule when changes and deviations are made in production plans. At this stage, during the initial placement of the order in the production schedule for each line, the possibility of fulfilling the order by the specified requirement date is determined. If it is impossible to ensure the production of a particular product by the date of need, the date of its intended release is calculated. The production schedule is transferred to the level of detailed planning - the volume of work per planning interval, for the execution of which the availability of groups of work centers is enough for a given interval. Within this interval, a specific execution time is planned for each operation with the definition of specific work centers that will be involved in the execution of operations. As a result of mathematical calculations, the recommended sequence of planning production route maps is obtained. The mathematical model presented in the work of choosing the priority for planning routing maps of production allows us to calculate the feasibility of orders on time, and also to determine the planned time interval in which each routing map should be completed.

The history, actual state and perspectives of development of technico-technological investigations, engineering and scientifi c staff training in Balti are described in wide lines in this paper. The parallel development of engineering staff training, technological investigation and industry in the city are highlighted.
