The choice of biological drug that would be optimal for the patient is determined by many factors. The authors tried to summarize the current knowledge about biological drugs used in the treatment of severe persistent asthma. Fortunately, one of the most important factors, ie reimbursement of the drug from public health insurance funds and a possible supplement to the patient in the conditions of the Czech Republic, does not play a more fundamental role, as the relevant products are covered by almost all public funds.
