U ovom diplomskom radu se želio dati prikaz mješovitih ženidbi na temelju znanstvene i stručne literature. Ono što doista ovaj rad čini zanimljivim je istraživanje koje nije potkrijepilo navedenu teorijsku osnovu jer su kroz ova dva dijela rada primjetna mnoga neslaganja. U prvom dijelu rada se moglo pročitati kako su u mješovitim brakovima prisutne mnoge poteškoće, nesuglasice i problemi, međutim, istraživanje je pokazalo nešto posve drugačije. Kroz razgovor s ispitanicima mogao se uočiti optimizam, ali prije svega dobra međusobna komunikacija. Prvotno se navelo da odgoj djece može biti veliki problem mješovitih brakova, ali ovo istraživanje je dokazalo suprotno. Bračni parovi su se trudili zajedničkom suradnjom, komunikacijom i tolerancijom odgojiti svoju djecu koja će cijeniti i poštovati svakog čovjeka, neovisno o vjerskim ili drugim razlikama. Zapravo, istraživački dio je prikazao kako su mješoviti brakovi često na meti kritika društva, obitelji i prijatelja. Međutim, kroz intervju s ispitanicima se pokazalo da je dobro ne osvrtati se na takve stvari, a povrh svega je potrebno živjeti svoj, a ne tuđi život. Od ispitanika se moglo naučiti da je jedino važno da je osoba koju si izabrao dobar i pošten čovjek, sve ostale različitosti su manje važne. Osim toga, nijedan ispitanik nije rekao da je u mješovitom braku izgubio vlastiti identitet, već upravo suprotno, radio je na sebi i na svom identitetu. Odgovori i iskustvo ovih ljudi mogu biti od pomoći i drugim osobama koje žive realnost veze ili braka s osobom druge vjere. The purpose of this master's thesis was to present mixed marriages based on scientific and professional literature. What makes this thesis interesting is a fact that results, which research gave, don't match with theoretical basis. The first part of thesis shows how mixed marriages bear a lot of difficulties, disagreements, and problems, but results of research don't match with literature. The first thing that was obvious about examinees was their optimism. Key ingredient for a good mixed marriage is a good communication. Upbringing of children can be a huge problem, but this research showed differently. Married couples cooperated and communicated with each other so that they could upbring children who will respect any human being, regardless of the differences. Research showed that mixed marriages are often criticised by family, friends, and society. During the interviews, examinees pointed out that they don't care about criticism, and, above all, they live their own lives. Only thing that matters is nature of the person, not their religion. Examinees don't think that they lost their identity by being in mixed marriage. The answers of these people can be of great help to others who live with person of a different religion.

U ovom će se radu nastojati ukratko dati povijesni prikaz i razvoj ženidbi među supružnicima koji ispovijedaju različitu vjeru: od svjedočanstva Svetoga pisma (Post 16,1-15; 24,2-4; 25,1-5; Izl 34,15-16; Ezr 10,10-11; Neh 13,25-27; 1Kor 5,11; 7,10-15; 1Pt 3,1-6, itd.) i nekih crkvenih otaca (Ciprijan, Ambrozije i Augustin), preko najvažnijih crkvenih dokumenata (II. vatikanski sabor, M.p. Matrimonia mixta pape Pavla VI.), do normativnog razvoja ženidbene zapreke kao takve (kann. 1061; 1071 CIC 1917; kan. 1086 CIC 1983.) i važećih pravnih odredbi. Potom će se kratko predstaviti razlozi postojanja ove ženidbene zapreke kao i uvjete pod kojima mjesni ordinarij može udijeliti oprost od nje. Zbog opsega temâ i ograničenosti prostora, nije moguće ulaziti u detaljnije tumačenje i razvoj pravnih odredbi u ovoj materiji. Stoga će u bilješkama biti predloženi autori koji su o tome nešto više i detaljnije pisali. Drugi članak će nastaviti ovu tematiku, a bavit će se pitanjem odnosa između ove ženidbene zapreke i razrješenja ženidbe in favorem fidei, uz analizu instrukcija Kongregacije za nauk vjere te praktičnim dodatkom s formularima, dekretima i pitanjima za ispitivanje stranaka i svjedokâ., This article sets out to offer a brief historical presentation on the development of marriages among spouses of different religions: from the testimony of Holy Scripture (Gen. 16,1-15; 24,2-4; 25,1-5; Ex. 34,15-16; Ezra 10,10-11; Neh. 13,25-27; 1 Cor. 5,11; 7,10-15; 1Pet 3,1-6, itd.) and some Church Fathers (Cyprian of Carthage, Ambrose of Milan and Augustine of Hippo), through the key ecclesiastical documents (Documents of the Second Vatican Council, M.p. Matrimonia mixta by Pope Paul VI.), to the development of the marriage impediment as such and the current canonical regulations. This is followed by a consideration of the reasons for the existence of this marriage impediment (disparity of cult; cann. 1061; 1071 CIC 1917; can. 1086 CIC 1983.), as well as the conditions under which the local ordinary may provide a dispensation. Due to the comprehensive nature of the topic, it isn’t possible to interpret and analyze in detail the canonical provisions, but in the footnotes we will refer to authors who have written about this in a more detailed way. The second section continues with this issue, as well as with the issue of the relationship between this marriage barrier and the rejection of marriage in favor of faith, with an analysis of the Instructions issued by the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith, as well as a practical appendix with the forms, declarations and questions of examination of parties and witnesses.
