S druge strane, također je važan naglasak stavljen i na podršku i programe obrazovanja neformalih njegovatelja., Family-oriented care fits naturally into social work and offers a framework through which the overall effectiveness of end-of-life care can be improved. Informal care for the older persons means assistance provided by family members to helpless members in daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grocery shopping, doctor visits, meal preparation, etc., and the same assistance is not charged. Coping with the nursing role for the caregiver represents a major adjustment and reorganization of the previous life in all areas: all-day care for the sick person, additional household responsibilities, conflict of roles, difficult communication through talking about meaningless topics and / or inability to communicate with the sick person. The profile of a typical informal caregiver refers to the daughter of the carereceiver in her middle or old age and the spouse of the carereceiver, most often the wife. In most cases, the informal caregiver lives with the carereceiver, and the care is multi-hour, daily and perennial. The aim of this paper was to investigate the various factors that influence the occurrence of care stress and what impact it has on the informal caregiver himself. On the other hand, important emphasis has also been placed on support and education programs for informal carers.
