- Abstract
In this paper, it is argued that symbolic interactionism and hermeneutics are possible strategies for the sociological determination of culture in the context of contemporary transformations of "cultural identities". The paper is based on the assumption that contemporary reflections on the sociological question of culture, due to the overemphasis of empirical research, have lost sight of some classic theoretical starting points that can be an important resource in determination and a better understanding of the general spiritual crisis of the modern world. With this idea in mind, the paper tries to accentuate two theoretical paradigms in the domains of their classical interpretation with the possibility of "strategic adjustment" of certain conceptual frameworks aimed at problematizing cultural reality on the "glocal" level. The paper in its various aspects is critical of the "Balkan" understanding of culture in the 21st century. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A framework law on preschool education in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2007 requires all preschool institutions to apply and practice inclusion as well as the compulsory preschool education in a year before children start school. The same law emphasizes that children with developmental disabilities should be included in preschool institutions according to programs adapted to their individual needs. Namely, the goal of applying inclusion in kindergartens is directed towards giving every child the opportunity to progress following their abilities. In that sense, to realize inclusion it is necessary to provide important preassumptions such as curriculum, methods of work, didactic tools, professionally educated team, and permanent assistants in individual assistance. Children with developmental difficulties deal with additional discrimination because most preschool institutions do not have the above-mentioned preassumptions for work and they are often excluded from the educational process. To find the solution to this problem, the focus of this paper is aimed at choosing a curriculum that will enable each child with an equal opportunity in life. In this context, a group of experts who completed the Montessori specialization have created the Integrated Preschool Adaptive Curriculum (IPAC) that is intended for inclusive kindergarten groups. The basis for its development was the contextual and dynamic assessment of abilities, knowledge, and skills of children who attended kindergarten a year earlier and worked according to the methodology of Montessori teaching and techniques. In this paper, we intend to present the results of a three-year study that was based on examining the impact of the Integrated Preschool Adaptive Curriculum (IPAC) on children's readiness to go to school. Readiness in this context considers reaching a certain degree of maturity in cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical development as well as in specific abilities in the cultural, hygienic, and work habits domain.

Starting from conceptual definitions and theoretical framework of the research problem, this paper offers the findings of empirical non-experimental research on the global and fragmented approach: a) assessment of the representation of (innovative) models of class teaching within the university repository of defended doctoral dissertations in the Republic of Serbia, and b) assessment of the innovative characteristics of selected doctoral dissertations through the analysis of reports from professional committees evaluating completed doctoral dissertations. All 109 PhD dissertations defended at Serbia’s six state faculties of teacher education between 2005 and 2022 are included in the overall sample. The second component of the research specifies a fragmented or deliberate/ stratified sample that consists of 36 defended PhD dissertations and 36 evaluation reports for the approval of PhD dissertations that inherently include novel teaching models. Both quantitative and qualitative content analysis were used in the research. The units of analysis include: the title of the defended doctoral dissertation, keywords presented in the doctoral thesis (quantitative analysis), and the content of the Evaluation Report of the doctoral dissertation, specifically the segment on scientific contribution (qualitative analysis). Based on the analysis of dissertation titles and keywords, it was found that one-third of doctoral dissertations focus on research in the field of (innovative) teaching models. The analysis revealed that not all models are equally represented in different subject methodologies of class teaching, nor within individual methodologies. Content analysis showed that the selected theses are dedicated to the specified problem, they support the issue of the innovation of the teaching process and indicate that there is room for innovation in the teaching process in a creative sense. Future PhD dissertations with a thematic focus on innovative teaching models should be directed towards the affirmation of research on different work models (of the entire corpus) in subject methodologies, the synthesis of innovative teaching models within the same methodology of class teaching, exploration of learning material most suitable for implementing a specific innovative work model within various methodologies of class teaching...

This paper describes the integration of the GOM Atos 5X measurement device with the ABB IRB 4600 robot. An overview of the software solution developed for communication between the measurment device and the robot using a computer network based on the TCP/IP protocol is given. The program code to be run on the measurement device was written in the Python programming language, while the program code to be run on the robot was written in the RAPID programming language. In the second part of the paper, the proposed solution for automating the calibration process of the Atos 5X measuring device is presented. A place for positioning calibration plates of various sizes within the existing robotic cell is presented, and a conceptual design of a holding device for the calibration plates is proposed. A simulation is performed in two applications, RoboDK and RobotStudio, which were used for a reachabillity analysis and testing of the program code. Finally, the obtained results of the software solution and the conclusions reached are discussed.

communication ,characteristics ,integration ,syndrome Down - Abstract
Zaključak ovog rada ističe važnost rane intervencije i podrške u razvoju komunikacijskih vještina djece sa sindromom Down. Unaprjeđivanje komunikacijskih vještina kod djece sa sindromom Down ima iznimno pozitivan utjecaj na njihov razvoj, socijalizaciju i kvalitetu života., This final thesis explores the communication challenges and potentials of children with syndrome Down. The focus of the paper is to understand how children with syndrome Down communicate, identify the barriers they encounter, and review strategies for improving communication in children through a comprehensive study. Children with syndrome Down can make significant progress in communication with appropriate support. The most common barriers include difficulties in language comprehension, expression, articulation, and establishing social connections. However, by implementing different strategies such as early interventions, the use of visual aids, individualized approaches, and family support, it is possible to promote the communication development of children with syndrome Down. The conclusion of this paper emphasizes the importance of early intervention and support in the development of communication skills in children with syndrome Down. Individualized approaches, structured learning methods, the use of augmentative and alternative communication, and collaboration between parents and professionals are key factors in achieving success in communicating with children with syndrome Down. Enhancing communication skills in children with syndrome Down has an extremely positive impact on their development, socialization, and quality of life.

According to the World Health Organisation, up to 15 percent of the world’s population are people with some kind of a disability. As seen through the historical prism, this population was not protected, nor did it enjoy the fundamental freedoms on an equal basis with other people. In the first part of the paper, numerous factors that influenced the change of consciousness and attitude towards people with disability through history have been elaborated. The next part of the paper contains the developmental path of humanistic pedagogy which, by reforming the school system, opened the door to children with developmental disabilities and also integrated such children into the educational system. With the development of the social model and by introducing inclusion to regular primary and secondary schools, the position of children with developmental disabilities has greatly improved. In another part of the paper, the focus is directed on the program of the lifelong education and its importance for people with disabilities. Through such a segment, the society shows a high degree of social responsibility as well as social sensitivity towards people that need this kind of help. Namely, through additional training, retraining, and specialisation programs, people with disabilities are provided with equal access to training and are given the opportunity to learn continuously. The final part of the paper contains one part of the research study whose main goal is to examine the impact of formal and informal education to the degree of participation and active involvement in the community. The research has been conducted by the method of the personal contact with the respondents (face to face method). The respondents belong to the age group 55+, on a sample of over N=540 respondents, and 17% of these are disabled people. The results indicate that educated persons have a greater degree of motivation to actively participate in the community. In this research, the dimension of active volunteer work correlates significantly (r=0,39) with the educational level of the respondents. A high level of education also attests positive effects of the voluntary activism to people with disabilities. Although the results on the scales variable of the active participation in the leisure time are somewhat better than the variable of the volunteer activism, they still can be brought into correlation with the educational level of an individual. The recommendations stress the significance and contribution of the voluntary actions of people with disabilities in maintaining integrational cooperation and solidarity, which contribute to positive change in society.

This process was accompanied by complex emotional experiences as they tried to live their professional and personal lives. To point to the importance of maintaining routines for the sake of ontological security and social integration, and the relevance of emotions during distance learning, we utilise Giddens' theory of structuration, focusing on routinisation and regionalisation of interactions, and Turner's analysis of integration processes and the role of emotions in them. We examine (i) how teaching routines were shaped and regionalised and (ii) what positive and negative emotions teachers experienced during distance learning in interactions with various actors. In the paper, the interviews conducted in 2020 with 32 subject teachers were analysed using deductive-inductive thematic analysis. Three themes were constructed; the permeation of the public sphere in teachers' personal space, the establishment of routines and emotional experiences, including sub-themes. This paper indicates that the preservation and creation of new routines and (positive) emotions and expectations in interactions are a potential that can enable overcoming crises or challenging situations such as distance learning, sometimes in such a way that the demarcation between the public and private spheres is violated. On the other hand, the appearance of negative emotions and long-term negative emotional states at the micro level indicate, from teachers' perspective, inadequate valorisation of their work by higher institutional levels and represent a potential for disintegration processes.

The subject of this paper is research of the possibility of integrating the designed bicycle-pedestrian highway Zagreb: from the Studentski Centar to Dugo Selo into the urban fabric with the aim of creating a continuous bicycle-pedestrian network that will positively influence the possibility of revitalizing brownfield locations in the immediate vicinity of the designed cycleway. The concrete proposal for the designed bicycle-pedestrian highway was created in 2016 in cooperation between students of the Faculty of Agriculture and the City of Zagreb. Given that the route was designed exclusively as a traffic infrastructure in the east-west direction according to the project at the time, it would divide the city area into northern and southern zones, just as the railway, the street of Vukovar and the Sava river currently does, and thus even more enhancing its effect as an obstacle to connecting these zones. The city of Zagreb, although suitable for the development of cycling and cycling infrastructure due to its relief and climate, it is not a cycling city and currently there isn't a sufficiently developed and infrastructurally equipped cycling network as seen in neighboring Central European metropolises. The main goal of the paper is to propose an alternative conceptual solution for the integration of the planned traffic-functional solution with recreational, cultural-historical, social and ecological contents. Through the study of relevant literature, a field tour, spatial landscape analysis of the existing situation and valid spatial planning documentation, the possibility of upgrading the linear network that would connect the city in both directions (north - south and east - west) is highly emphasized. Therefore, for the purpose of further analysis an online survey with 208 respondents was conducted and the synthesis of survey results were made as a quantitative analysis, and then, with the aim of a deeper analysis, two participatory workshops with different age groups were also implemented. This determined the direction of research into the possibility of integrating the designed infrastructure with the abandoned spaces of the city. The implementation of the obtained conclusions was presented at the pilot project for the section from the Studentski centar to the Borongaj turnpike.

Preko njega, kroz posredstvo kulture, moguće je steči osjećaj uključenosti u društvo., The aim of this paper is to examine how integrated are foreigners in Croatia and how their work and culture mediate in this. Furthermore, the aim was to examine how culture mediated work affects status, social and institutional inclusion of immigrants. Unlike most research conducted on the migrant population in the Republic of Croatia which are based on either the study of refugees or immigrants coming from the countries of the former Yugoslavia, this paper examines an often overlooked group through a series of semi-structured interviews. These are foreigners who came from the so-called 'desirable' countries – from the European Union and South America. Although the countries of South America are not seen as advanced countries, due to their exoticism they are perceived positively in the mainstream society. Due to the significant influence of ethnic capital, these groups have integrated both at business and at social levels. Furthermore, through the study, work proved to be a key mediator of achieving a sense of integration into society. Through it, by mediation of culture, it is possible to acquire a sense of inclusion in society.

During the 1960s immigrants were normally called “foreigners” (utlänning) in the Swedish press, and were usually described in a way that would nowadays be considered not only as politically in¬correct but also as flagrantly racist and xenophobic. This way of representing immigrants in the Swedish media changed radically at the beginning of 1970s. The word “foreigner” was replaced by “immigrant” in most newspaper articles, and the media started to represent immigrants in a manner that resembles current politically correct media discourse. This paper discusses, first, the reasons for this discursive shift, in the context of the evolution of the Swedish integration and integration policy that was initiated at the end of the 1960s, and, second, the related development of international migration and ethnic relations (IMER) research in Sweden. Finally, the paper presents some reflections on the current state of relations between Swedish integration policy and Swedish IMER research.

The text has been written as part of the work on the “Social Integration and Collective Identity in Multiethnic Areas of Croatia” project, as a contribution in the setting of the theoretical and hypothetical framework of the research. The paper is divided into two thematic sections. In the first, the authors deal with the issue of the conceptualisation of diverse theoretical approaches to social integration – from the classics of sociology to the most recent discussions – and endeavour to show the manner in which each of them has contributed significantly to the conceptualisation of social integration. The authors draw attention to the “problematic nature”, and also to the “inevitability” of differentiation of the diverse aspects and dimension of integration (social in the narrow sense and also systemic). The second part of the paper includes analysis of national integration as the dominant form of integration in modern societies. In that analysis, the authors support the thesis of a culture of nationalism, which includes the ideas and values of social exclusivism. They also deal with the various challenges confronting national integration today, those that have derived from globalisation and supranational processes, but also those that have their source at local and regional levels. On the basis of the analysis conducted, questions that were hypothetical in nature were posed in the concluding part, which should be answered by empirical research into the contradictions and range of integrational processes in Croatian society.

This contribution discusses the integration processes of immigrants and minorities with a recent immigrant background, and the policies related to the process of settlement of these newcomers in European societies at all relevant levels: from the local level of municipalities and cities, to the national level of states, and the international level of the European Union. Within this general approach, however, a strong emphasis is put on the local level, since that is the level where such policies have to be implemented and are primarily felt, both by the immigrants themselves and by those parts of society that are most affected by immigration. To describe the current state of integration research and policies, this paper will explore in the first section the nature of integration processes, their conceptualisation and lessons from empirical studies. The reason for devoting some space to these topics is the assertion that any integration policy should be based on a thorough, scientifically-based knowledge of the processes of integration and exclusion: if a policy wants to steer such a process, it should have a clear idea of what instruments it can use possibly to intervene, in which part of the process, and at what particular moment. Such knowledge is a solid starting point for policy-making, but it is not enough. Processes of policy-making and implementation follow their own set course, which do not necessarily run parallel to the process of integration. That is why, in the following section, the author attempts to explain some of these processes. At the end of this paper he returns to the core questions of immigration and integration policies on the one hand, and the relationship between local, national and international integration policies on the other.

When lexemes are borrowed from a foreign language they go through different phases of integration, typically divided into four types: phonetic, orthographic, morphological, and semantic. The question of which gender to assign to a loanword and which gender assignment criteria to apply is still ambiguous in linguistics. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to determine the regularities of gender assignment to lexicalized and non-lexicalized anglicisms in German within linguistics and glottodidactics. In addition, the present study also investigates the question of whether deviations in gender assignment, in the case of lexicalized anglicisms from our corpus, can be explained by their semantic differences. The corpus for our research is composed of a total of 194 scientific articles, containing a wide range of linguistic topics and issues in the field of glottodidactics. The analysis showed that different criteria are used to assign different genders. Thus, in the case of feminine and neutral nouns, the suffixal analogy prevails, while in the case of masculine nouns, semantic analogy and monosyllabicity play a greater role.

The paper treats problems pertaining to the legislative framework, as well as to the practical implementation of mechanisms for the protection of the human and minority rights of the Roma community. Special emphasis is placed on international and European protective mechanisms, on the pressure that they exert on national states, as well as on their frameworks for protecting the human rights of the Roma community, which – in view of the absence of a mother state in this case – is the only guarantee for the respect of Roma human rights. International frameworks and activities are also the only guarantee assuring the social integration of the Roma, a goal towards which modern European society strives. The paper attempts to determine the position of Croatia in respect to European countries in this matter, with special reference to problems in education faced by the Roma community and on the experience of the non-governmental and donator sector in regard to work with the Roma community. An overview of existing documents and acts reveals that a legislative framework for respecting Roma rights already exists, and that the European Union just has to supplement it with a legislative document exclusively dealing with the problems of the Roma, given the specific aspects of realising the human rights of members of this community. In the implementation of legislative acts, however, there is a series of inconsistencies, resulting from inadequate monitoring of the implementation of European documents, from an absence of repercussions for non-implementing them and from an imbalanced approach to old and new members of the European Union. In the context of association with the European community of states, Croatia has an opportunity to improve the position of its Roma community in a relatively short period of time and to accelerate the social integration of the Roma, although – due to an unsatisfactory and non-systematic approach, no consultations with experts and slow responses of the system’s institutions – this chance has not been adequately utilised.

The time of the Covid-19 pandemic can be described as a time of unexpected, intense stress due to which human vulnerability and psychological (in)resilience emerged at the top of the iceberg. Prolonged uncertainty, insufficient knowledge of the course, mutations and consequences of the disease combined with emotional, social, spiritual and economic constraints have affected the person's sense of self and the environment, as well as the perception of living in a time of stable instability. Starting from Christian anthropology, the purpose of the paper is to sensibilize and actualize the care of one's own vulnerability and resilience, especially in the postmodern era when man predominantly cares for the cult and aesthetics of the body, and the interiority remains neglected. The appearance of various pandemics and phobias - the pandemic of mental disorders, the phenomenon of coronaphobia - the mass fear of Covid-19, are just some of the significant signs that should be imperatively read as a call to return to oneself and strengthen intrapsychic and interpersonal capacities. In addition to analyzing and diagnosing the mental state at the time of Covid-19, the purpose of this paper is to explore the sources of vulnerability from the psychological and spiritual dimension in order to indicate the path how to accept and integrate one's own vulnerability and strengthen psychological and spiritual resilience. The paper is divided into 4 parts: the first part analyzes the situation during the coronavirus pandemic, the second part explores the dynamics of vulnerability from the psychological-spiritual dimension, the third part deals with resilience, and the final part provides guidelines for strengthening psychological and spiritual resilience.

The main goal of this study is to compare and show the social reality of two migrant groups in Germany - Gastarbeiter and transmigrants. This paper compares the two groups according to the motives of departure, integration into German society, the transnational dimension of migrant activities and their return plan. An insight into the individual experiences of Croatian migrants in Germany was obtained by using a qualitative interview method. Six interlocutors participated in the research, three of whom belong to the migrant group of Gastarbeiter and three belong to the migrant group of transmigrants. The analysis and interpretation of the obtained answers showed that Gastarbeiter and transmigrants have the most similarities in the motives for leaving and that Gastarbeiter are less integrated into German society compared to transmigrants. Furthermore, it shows that Gastarbeiter maintained more intense transnational ties with their country of origin compared to the transmigrant migrant group. The value of this paper is that no research that deals with this topic has been conducted. Moreover, the contemporary migration wave to Germany is a scientifically unexplored topic, and this paper could serve as a starting point for further research into the contemporary migration wave to Germany.

Osobe sa sindromom Down imaju specifičan fizički izgled s karakteristikama: kosi položaj očiju, kratki i široki vrat s previše kože, kratke šake, mišićnu hipotoniju, malena glava, okruglo lice izravnanog profila i kraći prsni koš. Dijagnostika sindroma Down provodi se: ultrazvučnim pregledom, analizom hormona, probirom seruma majke, amniocentezom i kariotipizacijom. Samim time imaju jednake mogućnosti razvoja svojih spoznajnih, tjelesnih, društvenih i emocionalnih sposobnosti. Syndrome Down is an incurable chromosomal disorder that results from chromosome misfolding during cell division of germ cells and causes the appearance of an excess of one chromosome or only part of the chromosome. Thus, people with syndrome Down have three instead of two chromosomes on the 21st chromosome pair, hence the name trisomy 21. People with syndrome Down have a specific physical appearance with characteristics: oblique eye position, short and wide neck with too much skin, short fists, muscular hypotonia, small head, round face with a flattened profile and shorter chest. Except for a lag in physical development, there is also a mental developmental disability, but most children have mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Syndrome Down is a risk for various health conditions, and health problems include: heart defects, digestive problems, respiratory problems, tongue, skin, feeding problems, thyroid disease, immunity problems, otorhinolaryngological problems and many others. Syndrome Down diagnosis is performed by: ultrasound examination, hormone analysis, maternal serum screening, amniocentesis and karyotyping. The aim of this paper was to raise awareness of the problems of children with syndrome Down and the life and work of their parents. Next to the parents, a professional team consisting of speech therapists, educational rehabilitator, physical therapists and psychologists helps in the work and development of the child with syndrome Down. From an early age, children with syndrome Down should be included in social life, early intervention and educated as much as possible to become more independent. Therefore, they have equal opportunities to develop their cognitive, physical, social and emotional abilities. This paper also presents a case report of a 10-year-old girl with syndrome Down and an individual review of her development and learning, the difficulties she encountered, estimates by experts and her integration into society (kindergarten, school). Kindergarten is of great importance for children with syndrome Down because it is there that children learn, acquire knowledge in the field of socialization, discipline, increase their independence, fine motor skills and encourage children's communication through play and socializing with other children. Children with syndrome Down need to be included in the school system where they become members of society, achieve a better everyday life and prepare for the most independent form of living. The nurse has a very important role in educating and informing parents and individuals with a diagnosis of syndrome Down and the entire population. It is very important for the nurse to reduce the presence of prejudice in her knowledge and actions in order to maintain and improve the quality of life of people with syndrome Down.

The topic of this thesis paper refers to the possibilites of connecting contents of subjects Arts and Nature and society. The point of the subject Arts is to introduce students to the contents that the world of fine arts has to offer, so they can enrich their image of themselves and the world they live in and with that develop creativity as a way of thinking and acting. Art ables a structural and thematic correlation with it's subject and curricural topics and with that prolongs the usage of certain terms and contents from other subjects. In the subject Nature and Society a lot of different contents from other subjects are combined and the students can get and use the knowledge about nature and society in everyday life. Considering that teachers of primary school isn't teaching just one area, in order to be successful in their work, they use correlation and integration. In this thesis paper, the theory part revolves about exploring the main characteristics of Arts, Nature and Society and the characteristics of a correlation-integration system in the classroom. The practical part is about exploring the possible connecting of Arts and Nature and Society regarding the Corriculum in primary schools.

Konačno, u petom i ujedno zaključnom dijelu rada navode se preporuke za daljnji razvoj integracijske politike Republike Hrvatske., It is well known that the phenomena of migrations is becoming increasingly relevant in the last decades. Especially from 2015 the refugess crisis in Europe has prompted numerous discussions about migration, refugees, integration and similar issues, and that is why this paper aims to contribute to professional and public debate on the issue of the integration of migrants into Croatian society. The paper consists of five parts. After the introductory part, in the second part of the paper we give a theoretical framework of the concept of integration of migrants, that is we give an overview of the (still unsuccesful) finding of the unique definition of the term integration of migrants. In the third part of the paper we present an overview of legal framework of the Republic of Croatia regarding integration of migrants. In this context, we analyse the relevant provisions of the Constitutution of the Republic of Croatia, relevant ratified international treaties, relevant national laws and regulations, as well as relevant case-law of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia. Having in mind that the Republic of Croatia has harmonized its legislation with the asquis communaitaire of the European Union and it is a Member States of the European Union, the special attention in this part of the paper is dedicated to the European Union framework for the integration of migrants. The fourth part of the paper deals with the institutional framework of the Republic of Croatia for the integration of migrants, and here we emphasize that the area of the integration of migrants, on the basis of legislative and regulatory framework, is under the jurisdiction of several ministries (headed by the Ministry of the Interior), offices, commissions, while the important role in this area certainly belongs to the numerous non-governmental organizations. Finally, in the fifth and also final part of the paper we make some recommendations for the further development of the integration policy of the Republic of Croatia.

U radu se istražuje iseljavanja Hrvata u Austriju tijekom 1980-ih i 1990-ih godina. The paper presents the emigration of Croats to Austria during the 1980s and 1990s. Ethnological and cultural anthropological research is based on a qualitative methodology, on semi-structured interviews. Through interviews with eight narrators, the paper investigates the push and pull factors that influenced emigration from Croatia and the choice of Vienna and Austria as immigrant countries. Special emphasis was placed on the process of adaptation to Austrian society and the dimensions of the integration process (cultural, social, religious, economic and legal-political dimension of integration). The research shows that Croatian immigrants are integrated into Austrian society and are considered part of the community. The paper concludes with a presentation of transnational practices and connections with other Croats, both in Austria and in Croatia.

The strong presence of the Metternich System gave impetus to the continuation of the fragmentation of Croatian regions that was hoped to be stopped by further development of culture and language. In that context, it is important to mention the Croatian publisher Ante Kuzmanić as the founder of the first magazine in the Croatian language in the region of Dalmatia – Zora dalmatinska. This paper studies the oscillations of the political scene with the goal to understand the impact that the changes, considering economy and culture, had on Zora dalmatinska. Furthermore, in regard to the language as a rather dividing factor when it comes to reformers from continental Croatia and Dalmatia, this paper also looks into that part bearing in mind that the language is a fundamental leitmotif of the Zora. Ultimately, understanding how big of an effect the magazine had on the idea of unification of the Croatian regions, there is a part dedicated to the integration of the nation. To be more accurate, a model of the national integration presented by the Czech historian Miroslav Hroch was used while interpreting Zora dalmatinska with hopes to display the importance of the magazine considering the integration of the Croatian nation.

The European Union pursues on the international scene to safeguards its values, support the rule of law, foster the sustainable economic, social and environmental development and support the integration of all countries into the world economy including through the progressive abolition of barriers on international trade. Trade agreements are used as an effective tool to this end. Within its present external action, European Union tries to cover its trade relations regionally homogenously. Through regionally homogenous trade agreements, Union can export its values, principles, and rules easier, which is also a way of strengthening its position geopolitically. This paper analyses trade agreements concluded between the European Union and candidate countries from Western Balkans. All these agreements recognise the accession to the European Union as their final goal. To achieve it, candidate countries need to fulfil various conditions, including the approximation and harmonisation of their legal orders with the EU acquis. Just recently (in November 2020), Western Balkans countries' leaders announced the creation of Regional Common Market which shall serve as a tool for approximation with European Union's Internal Market Rules. To this regard, author analysed the European Economic Area, where the export of European Union's Internal Market Rules was successfully realised, and which might therefore serve as an example for pre-accession cooperation between Western Balkans countries and European Union. Author chose the area of public procurement as a model case study.

Broj djece s teškoćama u razvoju u stalnom je porastu. Teškoća koja također bilježi rast jest i hiperaktivnost. Hiperaktivnost i općenito teškoće u razvoju djeci/učenicima otežava školovanje i svakodnevno funkcioniranje u izvršavanju njihovih obveza. The number of children with disabilities is constantly increasing. Another disability that is increasing is hyperactivity. Hyperactivity and other disabilities in general are making education and daily obligations of students very hard. In order to reduce the effects of this disorder, it is necessary to discover it on time and to take action in the parental home and at school. They need to be supported by continuous improvements of class lectures and the methods used so the lectures are more interesting and so they can focus on their school obligations. It is essential to understand the disorder itself, its symptom, its impact on a hyperactive child and its environment so everyone involved can respond properly to help the child. Considering the information stated earlier, it is clear that this is a complex disorder that needs to be given greater more attention. For that reason, the paper will describe the disorder, its development and consequences, the process of identifying, supporting and educating parents, as well as the teachers who work with child. The paper will also show one example of a successful integration of a student with ADHD, a third-grader, who is taught on a full-time basis with the adaptation of teaching content and individualized procedures in Croatian language, Mathematics, Science class, English and with the support of a teaching assistant.
