- Abstract
With the aging population in China, the number of elderly patients with hip fracture is increasing year by year. Malnutrition is common in the elderly patients with hip fracture, which can significantly increase the hospital stay, complication rate and postoperative mortality of patients. The purpose of this article is to review and summarize the latest research progress of different biomarkers and malnutrition screening tools in evaluating the nutritional status of elderly hip fracture patients, so as to provide a reference basis for doctors to correctly evaluate the nutritional status of elderly patients with hip fracture in clinical practice, and scientifically conduct nutritional intervention and treatment, so as to promote the postoperative recovery of patients with hip fracture, reduce complications and mortality.
