Giraffe is the tallest terrestrial mammal in the world, which has high ornamental value in the zoo. In recent years, the size and number of giraffes have dropped sharply, and they have been rated as vulnerable (VU) species by International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Taiyuan Zoo has accumulated some successful experiences in the process of raising giraffes for many years. Based on the long-term observation of giraffe's daily behavior, the key technologies of giraffe's daily feeding and disease prevention were summarized, and how to feed giraffe better was discussed, so as to provide references for giraffe's breeding and disease prevention in zoo.
