Objective To improve the accuracy of rational diet and the quality of life in hospitalized patients with diabetes mellitus by using quality control circle activities. Methods The problem-solving QCC activities were carried out, and the corresponding countermeasures were formulated and implemented, including the establishment of a systematic health education model, the establishment of a multi-dimensional training system, and establishment of a perfect catering mechanism in the canteen. Results The accurate rate of rational diet in hospitalized diabetic patients increased from 45. 52% before implementation of QCC activities to 77. 99% after implementation of QCC activities. Conclusion The QCC activities can improve the accurate rate of rational diet for hospitalized patients with diabetes mellitus, effectively improve the blood sugar level, improve the self-management ability, delay disease progression, and improve the quality of life. Objective The use and effect of nitrous oxide sedation techniques in oral clinics were analyzed retrospectively. Methods Patients who were treated with nitrous oxide inhalation sedation in the clinic of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from January 1, 2016, to December 30, 2018, were examined. Age and gender of the patients, dental treatments involved, reasons for nitrous oxide inhalation, sedative effects and adverse reactions were compiled. Results A total of 1 429 cases were examined, comprising 587 males and 842 females, and the average age was 32.64±16.34 years old. Among the patients who underwent nitrous oxide inhalation sedation in the oral clinic, 79.98% needed tooth extraction, and 79.50% had a dental fear of procedures. The patients were divided into following 7 age groups: 5-15 years old, 16-25 years old, 26-35 years old, 36-45 years old, 46-55 years old, 56-65 years old and > 65 years old. The sedation satisfaction rate of the 5-15-year-old group was 45.71%, and the sedation satisfaction rate of the other 6 age groups was 90.83%- 96.20% (P < 0.001). The incidence of total adverse reactions was 5.39%; the incidence was higher in females than in males, and the incidence was higher in the 16-25 age group than in the other age groups (P < 0.05). The most frequent adverse reaction was vertigo (81.82%). Conclusion Among the four common oral outpatient treatment programs including the extraction of teeth, dental implants, pulp treatment and periodontal treatment, patients undergoing inhalation sedation of nitrous oxide in the dental extraction most. The most common reason for requiring sedation is dental fear, and the sedative effect of the 5-15-year-old group was significantly worse than that of the other age groups. The incidence of adverse reactions of nitrous oxide sedation was low and manageable.

This study explored the clinical value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients with post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN) in assessing brain functional divisions and gray matter volume changes. Thirty-four patients with PHN (PHN group) and 40 healthy volunteers (control group) were selected as the research subjects. They received resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-FMRI), and the differences in low-frequency amplitude values between the PHN group and the control group were compared. The results showed that the low-frequency amplitude values of the PHN group in the brain stem, left and right temporal lobes, left and right frontal lobes, right anterior cingulate gyrus, and right parietal lobe were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The low-frequency amplitude values of PHN group had left and right insula, middle frontal gyrus, left and right central anterior gyrus, right hippocampus, and right fusiform gyrus were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The amplitude increases of low-frequency in brain stem, left and right temporal lobes, left and right frontal lobes, and right cingulate gyrus and left parietal lobe of PHN patients were positively correlated with the VAS score. Low-frequency amplitude reduction values of left and right insula, middle frontal gyrus, left and right central anterior gyrus, right para hippocampal gyrus, and right fusiform gyrus were negatively correlated with the VAS score. In the resting state, the brain functional areas of PHN patients changed compared with the normal population, which may be related to the increased pain perception level of the patients. The restoration of bone defects caused by trauma, infection, ablative surgery for tumor and congenital deformity remains a challenge for surgeons. At present, bone tissue engineering, especially prefabricated, vascularized tissue-engineered bone flap, has gone from the bench to the bedside and shown effectiveness such as less mobility of donor site, a stable blood supply to reduce the risk of infection, sufficient mature bone and soft tissues in a good three-dimensional shape after prefabrication for bone reconstruction. PURPOSE: Picibanil (OK-432) and bleomycin have been used as alternative sclerosing agents for lymphatic malformations. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the clinical curative effect of sclerotherapy using fibrin glue combined with OK-432 and bleomycin for the treatment of macrocystic lymphatic malformations of the head and neck. METHODS: We conducted a retrospective review of 15 pediatric patients who had received percutaneous sclerotherapy for massive macrocystic lymphatic malformations of the head and neck. The study group included six males and nine females, aged 13 months to 14 years (mean, 6.1 years). Affected regions included the neck (n=6), parotid region and parapharynx (n=4), floor of mouth (n=2), face and cheek (n=2), and orbital regions (n=1). All patients showed preoperative symptoms of space-occupying lesions between 4 cmx5 cm and 12 cmxl6 cm in size (mean 7.7 cmx9.5 cm). Fibrin glue with OK -432 and bleomycin was injected under general anesthesia. All patients received preoperative and follow -up computed tomography scans. Outcomes were assessed by a panel of three oral and maxillofacial surgeons. RESULTS: All patients exhibited mid-facial swelling for 3 to 4 weeks after treatment, but no major complications occurred. Follow-up periods ranged from 8 to 16 months (mean, 11.5 months). Eight lesions were completely cleared, five lesions were almost cleared, and two lesions were partially cleared. CONCLUSION: Percutaneous sclerotherapy using fibrin glue with OK-432 and bleomycin provided a simple, safe, and reliable alternative treatment for massive macrocystic lymphatic malformations of the head and neck. To improve the static and dynamic performance of electro-hydraulic servo valve, a new type of high-speed and precise piezoelectric electro-hydraulic servo valve is developed. Multilayer piezoelectric actuator is adopted as the electricity-machine converter of the proposed piezoelectric electro-hydraulic servo valve. Aimed at the nonlinearity and uncertainty of the system, a modified fuzzy control method involving adjusted function is proposed. The fuzzy quantification of error and the change of error are normalized in one region, then the self-adjusted factor is transformed into self-adjusted function, and the scale factor is self-adjusted. The control method can avoid the oscillation caused by hysteresis and improve the precision of fuzzy controller. Experimental results show that the hysteresis loop of the new type piezoelectric electro-hydraulic servo valve is less than 0.1%, its resolution is less than 0. 03%, and the amplitude bandwidth of close loop control is greater than 700 Hz. Objective: To investigate symptoms, treatment and prognosis of dyspnea induced by ticagrelor in the treatment of patients with acute coronary syndromes. Methods: Two cases of dyspnea induced by ticagrelor were reported by Changhai Hospital, the Second Military Medical University, Literature was retrieved through the access of the Wanfang data -digital periodicals, the China Science and Technology Journal Database (Weipu), the Chinese Journal Full-text Database (CJFD) and the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database from 2012-11-01 to 2015-03-01. The cases of dyspnea retrieved from the 4 databases and the 2 cases from Changhai Hospital were compared and analyzed. Results: Twenty-eight papers related to ticagrelor-induced dyspnea were collected from the retrieved literature 9involving 160 cases of dyspnea, plus 2 cases from Changhai Hospital, with a total of 162 cases .The main manifestation of ticagrelor-induced dyspnea was short breath, which could be relieved without withdrawal of the drug or just through oxygen breathing. In the 162 cases, 14 were withdrawn from ticagrelor treatment due to intol-erance. Eight dyspnea patients were complicated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Conclusion: The main manifestation of ticagrelor-induced dyspnea was short breath, and withdrawal of the drug was not necessary in most cases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
