Carbon nanofibers with various contents of Co nanoparticle were synthesized by a two step process of electrospinning and subsequent heat treatment. The thermal stability,phase composition,microstructure and electromagnetic characteristics of the carbon nanofibers were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry-thermogravimmetric analysis (DSC-TGA),X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM) and vector network analyzer(VNA),and the microwave absorption performance was studied.The results indicate that the crystallinity of composite nanofibers is moderate when the carbonization temperature is 800℃.The amorphous carbon is partially converted into graphite and CoAc2 completely reduces to face-centered cubic structured Co nanoparticle. The fiber is intact and beads-on-string structure exists in the fiber networks. The electromagnetic characteristics of the carbon nanofibers significantly improve by the doping of Co. The Carbon nanofibers containing 7%(mass fraction) as fillers with thickness of 1.5mm exhibit maximum effective absorption bandwidth of 4.5GHz, and it is obviously improved compared to pure carbon nanofibers.

To improve the impact resistance of metal and composite material joint structures， a metal synapse structure was manufactured using metal laser selective melting technology. The structure was co-cured and molded with T300 twill woven carbon fiber-reinforced composite material （CFRP） to form a through-thickness reinforcement joint structure. The impact resistance of the synapse joint structure was verified through Charpy pendulum impact tests. Analysis and optimization of the synapse morphology were conducted based on CFRP damage patterns and impact absorption energy， as well as other influencing factors. Finite element simulations and comparative calculations were performed. The experimental results indicate that the penetration-enhanced joint method can prevent metal stress concentration and carbon fiber cutting caused by drilling holes. The impact absorption energy measures at 68.54 J， with a 216.1% improvement compared to the bolted connections. Increasing the height of the synapses effectively inhibits the composite material impact delamination. The synapse feature size and synapse array density affect internal defects in the composite material. With increasing synapse feature size and synapse array density，the impact absorption energy first increases to a point and then decreases. Finite element simulations based on synapse feature size variations showed that the simulation results deviated from the experimental results by less than 17%， and the damage form is highly consistent.

Objective To systematically evaluate the impact of dignity therapy on dignity, hope and quality of life of patients with advanced cancer. Methods Studies published in databases such as PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, EBSCO, Scopus, CNKI, WanFang Data, VIP, CBM were searched by computer from the establishment to April 2023. Researchers had screened the literature, extracted data and quality assessment according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Meta analysis of the included references was performed using RevMan 5. 4 software. Results A total of 1183 patients were included in 12 studies. The results of meta-analysis showed that dignity therapy could improve the dignity, raise the hope(P＜0. 01). However, the effect of quality of life was unclear(P=1. 00). Conclusion The existing evidence shows that dignity therapy can improve the dignity and raise the hope of advanced cancer patients, but it has not been found to improve the quality of life, which needs to high-quality, large sample studies with a long intervention period to explore the impact of dignity therapy with advanced cancer patients. 【Background and Objective】 Groundwater is a vital resource in the Middle Reaches of the Yellow River basin, crucial for maintaining soil and water ecological functions. However, its depletion due to insufficient supply and excessive consumption has led to groundwater drought. Amidst the increasing demand for groundwater in the region, uncertainties persist regarding its ability to meet ecological and consumption demand. Evaluating groundwater drought is hence imperative to ensure sustainable development of the region. This study aims to assess the spatiotemporal evolution in groundwater drought and its consequence for vegetation growth. 【Method】 This study was based on the GRACE/GRACE-FO data and GLDAS data measured from April 2002 to December 2021 in the Middle Reaches of the Yellow River Basin, from which we analyzed the groundwater storage anomaly and estimated the standardized groundwater drought index (SGDI). The spatiotemporal variation in groundwater drought was calculated using the run theory, the modified Mann-Kendall trend test, and the Spearman correlation analysis. The impact of vegetation on groundwater drought and its determinants was analyzed using detrended NDVI. 【Result】 ① Temporally, terrestrial water storage anomaly, surface water storage anomaly and groundwater storage anomaly in the basin changed at the rates of -0.022 mm/d, 0.005 mm/d, and -0.027 mm/d, respectively. Spatially, terrestrial water storage anomaly and groundwater storage anomaly were distributed unevenly in the basin. ② Temporal variation in groundwater drought in the basin had been in increase, with a total of 65 months occurring drought during the studied period, including six severe droughts and fourteen extreme droughts. Between 2016 and 2021, there were multiple consecutive groundwater droughts, including severe and extreme droughts after 2018. The most extreme drought from 2002 to 2021 was in October 2021. The Theil-Sen slope of SGDI in the basin was -4.10×10-4/d, which passed the MMK trend test, indicating there is a significant increasing trend of groundwater drought in the future. ③ In October 2021, the proportion of drought-affected areas in the basin were 95.81%, in which 64.66% were extreme drought. The Theil-Sen slope of SGDI varied spatially in the range of -0.014 to 0.007 per month. The groundwater drought in the north and east of the basin had increased significantly, with areas reaching 63.02% and drought tendency increasing from the southwest to the northeast. ④ The driving effect of vegetation changes on groundwater drought is not significant. 【Conclusion】 Groundwater drought in the Middle Reaches of the Yellow River Basin has intensified, characterized by an expanded drought areas, increased drought events, and a significant upward trend in drought. Groundwater drought did not result in a significant impact on vegetation. These findings underscore the urgent need to protect groundwater resource and mitigate its adverse impact on ecology and socio-economic development of the region.

ObjectiveTo investigate the latent tuberculosis infection （LTBI） of close contacts in schools of Xuhui District， and to explore the tuberculin skin test （TST）- interferon-γ release assay （IGRA） two-step method in order to discover the screening strategy of tuberculosis in Xuhui District.MethodsClose contacts of tuberculosis in schools of Xuhui District from 2020 to 2022 were selected as research subjects. Screening was conducted using symptom questionnaire， TST， chest X-rays， IGRA， and the information including the etiological results and grade of the index cases， as well as gender， age， and relationship with the index cases of the research subjects were collected.ResultsTotally 615 close contacts of 32 tuberculosis cases occurred in the schools were finally included. Of the 609 close contacts who completed tuberculosis infection screening and underwent TST testing， 153 TST（+） individuals underwent IGRA testing. The final LTBI rate was 4.6%， and the pulmonary tuberculosis detection rate was 163 per 100 000. The relationship with the index cases was an influencing factor for LTBI. The IGRA positivity rate was higher among close contacts with TST ≥15 mm than among those with 10 mm≤ TST

In order to shorten the etching time and improve the luminescence performance of the light-emitting diodes(LEDs), the dry etching processes of adding etching auxiliary gas trifluoromethane(CHF3) were studied. The effects of the bias power, the CHF3 flows and the degree of throttle butterfly pendulum auto pressure control valve (abb. APC) on the etch selectivity and the etch rate were investigated by orthogonal experiments during the inductively coupled plasma(ICP) dry etching process. The experimental results show that the process has higher etch selectivity and etch rate when the bias power, the CHF3 flows and the APC is as 350 W, 15 sccm and 55%, respectively. The PSSs with large size, high pattern-sapphire ratio and small radian were obtained, compared with the conventional PSSs, the height and the pattern-sapphire ratio of optimized PSSs are improved by 5.6% and 4.6%, respectively. Objective To investigate relationship between vitamin D level and season, sleep quality and anxiety and depression in patients with chronic insomnia. Methods Total 246 patients with chronic insomnia and treated in The First Hospital of Hebei Medical University from August 2020 to August 2022 were included. Serum 25⁃hydroxy vitamin D [25 (OH) D] levels were determined. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was used to evaluate sleep quality, Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale⁃14 (HAMA⁃14) to evaluate anxiety, and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale⁃24 (HAMD⁃24) to evaluate depression. Results The incidence of serum 25 (OH) D deficiency ( < 20 ng/ml) in chronic insomnia patients was higher than that in control group (χ2 = 78.202, P = 0.000), and serum 25 (OH) D level was lower than that in control group (Z = ⁃ 6.677, P = 0.000). According to the onset season, 246 chronic insomnia patients were divided into winter and spring group (n = 156) and summer and autumn group (n = 90). PSQI score (Z = ⁃ 2.694, P = 0.007), HAMA⁃14 total score (Z = ⁃ 2.166, P = 0.030), somatic anxiety score (Z = ⁃ 2.545, P = 0.011) and HAMD⁃24 score (Z = ⁃ 2.065, P = 0.039) in winter and spring group were higher than those in summer and autumn group. Serum 25 (OH) D level in winter and spring group was lower than that in summer and autumn group (Z = ⁃ 2.681, P = 0.007). According to PSQI score, 246 patients with chronic insomnia were divided into mild ⁃ moderate insomnia group (n = 114) and severe insomnia group (n = 132). In severe insomnia group, the proportion of female (χ2 = 10.733, P = 0.001), HAMA⁃14 total score (Z = ⁃ 4.633, P = 0.000), mental anxiety score (Z = ⁃ 5.273, P = 0.000) and physical anxiety score (Z = ⁃ 2.859, P = 0.004), and HAMD⁃24 score (Z = ⁃ 5.430, P = 0.000) were higher than those in the mild⁃moderate insomnia group, and serum 25 (OH) D level was lower than those in the mild⁃moderate insomnia group (Z = ⁃1.986, P = 0.047). Correlation analysis showed that serum 25 (OH) D was negatively correlated with PSQI score (r = ⁃ 0.331, P = 0.000), HAMA ⁃ 14 total score (r = ⁃ 0.178, P = 0.005) and HAMD ⁃ 24 score (r = ⁃ 0.142, P = 0.027). Conclusions Patients with chronic insomnia have lower vitamin D level, and patients with winter and spring onset have lower vitamin D level, worse sleep quality, and more severe anxiety, depression and somatization symptoms. Patients with worse sleep quality had lower vitamin D level, and more anxiety and depression. Vitamin D deficiency is associated with sleep quality and risk of anxiety and depression in patients with chronic insomnia.

The rapid development of technology has brought convenience for shooting and sharing images.However,with the ra-pid increase of image data,security problems such as leakage and tampering have frequently occurred.The application of image encryption technology is imminent.Especially the encryption of color images is in urgent need of improvement and development.The traditional encryption technology is mainly for data stream encryption,which is low in efficiency and large in calculation,ha-ving certain limitations.Based on the transformation domain encryption,the image is transformed from the spatial domain to the frequency domain for encryption,and then transformed to the spatial domain,which is a lossy encryption.Encryption based on chaos has a large key space,simple implementation,and fast encryption speed.However,multiple chaotic systems are generally required to enhance the security of encryption.For this reason,a simple and secure spatial encryption algorithm for the RGB three-channel color image is designed in this paper.The Logistic-Sine-Cosine mapping generates safer chaotic sequences.These chaotic sequences are used for four rounds of scrambling and spreading pixels.After a series of security analysis experiments,the security and effectiveness of the color image encryption algorithm based on Logistic-Sine-Cosine mapping have been verified.

BACKGROUND Rare earth resources are essential for a wide range of advanced technologies, which have received considerable attention in the world. Bayan Obo is the largest rare earth mine in the world. The study on the distribution characteristics of rare earth elements (REEs) and heavy metal elements in the environmental media such as soil and plants in the Bayan Obo mining area can provide basic data for the investigation of the environmental status of the mining area and provide reference for its environmental restoration. OBJECTIVES To investigate the distribution characteristics of REEs and heavy metal elements in various environmental media at different areas in the Bayan Obo mine. METHODS Nine plant samples, six soil samples, one rock sample and one cow manure sample were collected from the Bayan Obo rare earth mine and surrounding areas. The contents of 15 rare earth elements and 8 heavy metal elements of these samples were determined by ICP-MS, which were used to study the behavior of elements and the variation rules in space. RESULTS The results showed that the distribution patterns of REEs in rocks, soil, plants, and cow manure samples were similar: obvious enrichment of light-REEs and depletion of high-REEs. The richest rare earth element in soil and plant was Ce, reaching 49.95% and 48.55%, respectively. The spatial variation law of the total content of rare earth element in Limonium bicolor (Bag.) Kuntze was consistent with the mineralization change of the three ore bodies: the main ore>the east ore>Dongjielegele ore. This indicated that the rare earth content of this plant was basically controlled by the minerality of the ore body, and it was more accurate to indicate the enrichment degree of rare earth in the growth environment. In addition, there was accumulation of Zn (465-778mg/kg), Cd (1.35-2.23mg/kg), Pb (181-431mg/kg) in the soil of the mining area. Some points of Cd and Pb were beyond the risk control value. CONCLUSIONS The ore, soil, and plant samples in Bayan Obo all show the characteristics of Ce enrichment. Moreover, the rare earth content of plants is highly correlated with the ore body where it grows. The REE content characteristics among the three media show obvious inheritance and consistency. Special attention should be paid to the mining and agricultural activities in the main mining area in Bayan Obo because of the accumulation of Zn, Cd, and Pb in these mining areas.

The nanofiber absorbing materials have been research hotspots of high-performance absorbing materials in recent years, owning to its unique surface effect and aeolotropism. As the simplest and effective method of preparing nanofiber, electrospinning has been applied to prepare wave absorbing materials. Many fruitful researches have been done by this means. In this paper, the types and characteristics of absorbing materials prepared by electrospinning are introduced, and the morphology of nanofiber is summarized. BACKGROUND The 'Strategic Emerging Industry Mineral Investigation' project actively advocates the application of new theories and methods of green investigation in the exploration and development of large-scale resource bases. Green investigation is one of the main content of the comprehensive investigation and evaluation work of large-scale lithium and beryllium resource bases in western Sichuan. OBJECTIVES To summarize the development history and current situation of the hydrochemical prospecting method, and the main problems of the hydrochemical prospecting method in mineral exploration and environmental investigation are put forward. To preliminarily elucidate the lithium prospect area which should be further investigated in details, by using hydrochemical prospecting method in the humid and semi-humid alpine mountainous area of Jiulong, West Sichuan. METHODS The temperature, pH value, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen and total dissolved solids (TDS) of surface water were measured by field multi-parameter tester. The content of trace elements such as Li, B, Rb, Sr, Ni, W and Sc were determined by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). RESULTS The content of lithium, boron, strontium and nickel in the water body of the study area was significantly higher than the background value. Among the 60 samples, more than 17% of the samples had content of trace elements in excess of the abnormal lower limit (7.76μg/L). The lithium content of the water body flowing through the southeast corner of the Wulaxi rock mass (Shitougou) reached the maximum value of 20.1μg/L, which was 4.5 times the background value of the water body lithium content in the study area and 2.6 times the abnormal lower limit. These anomalies were closely related to mineralization, and its obvious change law can be used as a hydrochemical lithium search prospecting sign. The southeastern part of the Wulaxi pluton and the surrounding water body of the Lomo Pluton had an obvious relationship with mineralization, which can be used as a prospective area for the next detailed investigation. CONCLUSIONS Under the current conditions of continuous improvement of the strategic position of environmental protection, continuous increase of green exploration efforts, and equal emphasis on resource investigation and environmental protection, hydrochemical methods have important guiding significance for early prospecting deployment. The research results provide a reference for solving practical problems such as prospecting deployment and environmental protection bottlenecks in the ecologically fragile areas of the Western Sichuan Plateau.

ObjectiveTo study the prevalence of depression and the related influencing factors among the frontline healthcare professionals in the prevention and control of risk of imported COVID-19 cases， so as to provide references for improving their mental health status.MethodsBased on Wenjuanxing platform， a total of 984 frontline healthcare professionals participating in the screening and treatment of imported COVID-19 cases in Beijing Xiaotangshan hospital were assessed using Patients’ Health Questionnaire Depression Scale-9 item（PHQ-9）.ResultsA total of 770 questionnaires were collected with a valid rate of 78.3%， among which 344 cases （44.7%） had depressive symptoms. OBJECTIVES The open-pit mining of rare earth mines easily causes heavy metal pollution problems. Studies have shown that the soil of the rare earth mining area in southern Jiangxi has been polluted by heavy metals of Cd and Pb in low and moderate degrees. Environmental quality assessment usually uses pollution factors (total heavy metal content) as indicators of the degree of pollution, which can only reflect the degree of enrichment of heavy metals. OBJECTIVES To investigate the forms of heavy metals in the soil of the rare earth mining area in southern Jiangxi Province, migration ability and bioavailability. METHODS Based on the forms analysis of soil heavy metals measured by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), the ecological risk of soil heavy metals in the rare earth mining area was evaluated using the geoaccumulation index method, potential ecological hazard index method and RAC risk assessment. RESULTS The heavy metals in the soil in the study area mainly existed in the residual form, accounting for 65.5% of the total. The average content of Cd and Pb in the soil samples was 1.72 times and 2.14 times the soil background value of Jiangxi Province, respectively. The average value of Cd in the soil in the farmland along the river downstream of the mine and the average value of Pb in the farmland near the tailing pond were 2.33 times and 3.06 times background value, respectively. The Cd or Pb content of the 22.7% samples exceeded the risk screening value. Among them, the exchangeable form of Cd and Pb accounted for 47.1% and 13.5% of the total amount, respectively, secondary to the residual form. Geoaccumulation index and potential ecological risk assessment results show that the accumulation degree and ecological risk level of Cd and Pb were higher, and Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn were lower. RAC risk assessment results show that Cd ecological risk was higher, whereas Co, Zn, and Pb was medium and Cu and Ni was low. Although the focal point and some results of the three evaluation methods were also different, the comprehensive conclusion showed that the soil Cd pollution and migration activities in the mining area were high, and the ecological risk was high. Conclusion The research results provide scientific basis for identifying the potential environmental risks of farmland soil in rare earth mining areas and propose effective prevention, emergency response and mitigation procedures.

In view of problems that human—centered video monitoring mode had limited duration, multiple scenes were difficult to monitor at the same time, and results of manual monitoring were not processed in time, target detection method of underground personnel based on deep convolutional neural network was proposed. Firstly, input image was scaled to a fixed size, and a feature map was formed after operation of deep convolutional neural network; then, a suggestion area was formed on the feature map through area suggestion network, the suggestion area was pooled into a unified size which was sent to full connection layer for operation; finally, the best suggestion area was selected according to probability score, and the required target detection box was automatically generated. The test results show that the method can successfully detect head of underground personnel with an accuracy rate of 87.6%.

As a functional material of burn-resistant titanium alloy, the physical properties of Ti40 alloy were first reported. The chemical compositions of Ti40 alloy ingots by VAR were uniform. The microstructures of Ti40 alloy slab manufactured by HEFF+WPF were uniform. The results show that the room temperature tensile strength of Ti40 alloy is 950 MPa degree. The properties of high temperature heat exposure, creep resistance and lasting time are good at 500 ℃. In the range from room temperature to 600 ℃, Young's modulus and shear modulus are decreased linearly with increasing the temperature, Poisson's ratio is increases slowly as the temperature rises, and linear thermal expansion coefficient and average linear expansion coefficient is increase as the temperature rises.

The article summarizes the relevant factors to the therapeutic effect of moxibustion on knee osteoarthritis, including the origin and storage time of moxa leaves, the time of moxibustion, the numbers of moxa cone, and the temperature when moxibustion is operated. Artemisia mugwort in Qichun county stored for over 3 years is the best regarding its property； and it is recommended for about 40 min in suspended moxibustion； and the heat-sensitive moxibustion is determined when the sensation of moxibustion disappears； and in terms of moxibustion techniques and the numbers of moxa cone, two moxa cones are optimal in warm needling, but the highly applicable duration of moxibustion needs to be confirmed through more high-quality studies. There are few studies on the other influencing factors, such as the specific operation of suspended moxibustion, the angle of knee flexion, treatment sequence, light and smoking factors, moxibustion method and disease staging and type； and the studies are limited in the comparison in terms of the middle-term and long-term efficacy, the comparison of the efficacy among different syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine in patients and the comparison among various frequencies and sessions of treatment. In future, more high-quality clinical trials should be designed to complete the evidence-based regimens and optimize clinical operations.

Objective: To investigate the factors influencing total bilirubin elevation and its correlation with UGT1A1 gene polymorphism in the early postoperative period of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS). Methods: 104 cases with portal hypertension and esophageal variceal hemorrhage (EVB) treated with elective TIPS treatment were selected as the study subjects and were divided into a bilirubin-elevated group and a normal bilirubin group according to the total bilirubin elevation level during the early postoperative period. Univariate analysis and logistic regression were used to analyze the factors influencing total bilirubin elevation in the early postoperative period. PCR amplification and first-generation sequencing technology were used to detect the polymorphic loci of the UGT1A1 gene promoter TATA box, enhancer c.-3279 T > G, c.211G > A, and c.686C > A. Logistic regression was used to analyze the correlation of four locus alleles and genotypes with elevated total bilirubin in the early postoperative period. Results: Among the 104 cases, 47 patients were in the bilirubin elevated group, including 35 males (74.5%) and 12 females (25.5%), aged (50.72 ± 12.56) years. There were 57 cases in the normal bilirubin group, including 42 males (73.7%) and 15 females (26.3%), aged (51.63 ± 11.10) years. There was no statistically significant difference in age ( t = -0.391, P = 0.697) and gender ( χ (2) = 0.008, P = 0.928) between the two groups of patients. Univariate analysis revealed that preoperative alanine transaminase (ALT) level ( χ (2) = 5.954, P = 0.015), total bilirubin level ( χ (2) = 16.638, P < 0.001), MELD score ( χ (2) = 10.054, P = 0.018), Child-Pugh score ( χ (2) = 6.844, P = 0.022), and postoperative portal vein branch development ( χ (2) = 6.738, P = 0.034) were statistically significantly different between the two groups. Logistic regression analysis showed that preoperative ALT level, total bilirubin level, and portal vein branch development after TIPS were correlated with the elevated total bilirubin in the early postoperative period. The polymorphism of the c.211G > A locus of the UGT1A1 gene correlation had elevated total bilirubin in the early postoperative period of TIPS. The risk of elevated total bilirubin was increased in the population carrying allele A ( P = 0.001, OR = 4.049) in the early postoperative period. Allelic polymorphisms in the TATA box promoter region and enhancer c.-3279 T > G and c.686C > A had no statistically significant difference between the bilirubin-elevated group and the normal bilirubin group. Conclusion: The preoperative ALT level, total bilirubin level, and portal vein branch development are correlated with the elevated total bilirubin in early postoperative patients. The polymorphisms of the UGT1A1 gene and enhancer c.211G > A are correlated with the occurrence of elevated total bilirubin in the early postoperative period of TIPS. Allele A carrier may have a higher risk of elevated total bilirubin in the early postoperative period.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between V444A mutation of the ABCB11 gene and primary intrahepatic stone (PIS). Methods: A total of 164 patients (including 91 males and 73 females, with an average age of (46.0±13.0) years) with PIS and 164 healthy (including 99 males and 65 females, with an average age of (43.8±16.7) years) volunteers were enrolled in this case-control study between October 2017 and June 2019. TaqMan-MGB was used for detecting the V444A polymorphism site of the ABCB11 gene. All the genotypes and allele frequencies were calculated. Pearson chi-squared test was performed to detect the differences in allele and genotype distribution between the two groups. Logistic regression analysis was used to identify genotypes associated with PIS. Results: There was no significant difference in age and gender between the two groups(both P >0.05). The distributions of V444A allele and genotype accorded with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium law ( P =0.161), which indicated that the selected control group represented statistically acceptable sample. Two alleles of T and C, and three genotypes of TT, TC and CC were detected in the locus of V444A. The T and C allele frequencies in the PIS group and the control group were 28.4% vs 35.4%, and 71.6% vs 64.6%, respectively. The frequencies of the T and C alleles were not different between the two groups ( P =0.054). The frequencies of TT, TC and CC genotypes in the two groups were 5.5%, 45.7%, 48.8%, and 14.6%, 41.5%, 43.9%, respectively, with significant difference between the two groups ( P =0.023). Logistic regression analysis revealed the V444A polymorphism (TC heterozygous mutation) was associated with PIS. Conclusion: ABCB11 gene polymorphism at the site of V444A may be related to the susceptibility of PIS.

Objective: To develop a near-infrared fluorescence imaging system based on the fluorescence properties of methylene blue., Methods: According to the optical properties of methylene blue, we used a custom-made specific LED light source and an interference filter, a CCD camera and other relevant components to construct the near-infrared fluorescence imaging system. We tested the signal-to-background ratio (SBR) of this imaging system for detecting methylene blue under different experimental conditions and analyzed the SBR in urine samples collected from 15 Wistar rats with intravenous injection of methylene blue at the doses of 0, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, or 2.0 0 mg/kg methylene blue., Results: The SBR of this imaging system for detecting methylene blue was affected by the concentration of methylene blue and the distance from the sample (P<0.05). In the urine samples from Wistar rats, the SBR varied with the the injection dose, and the rats injected with 1.6 mg/kg methylene blue showed the highest SBR (8.71∓0.20) in the urine (P<0.05)., Conclusion: This near-infrared fluorescence imaging system is useful for fluorescence detection of methylene blue and can be used for real-time recognition of ureters during abdominal surgery.

Objective: To achieve differential diagnosis of normal and malignant gastric tissues based on discrepancies in their dielectric properties using support vector machine., Methods: The dielectric properties of normal and malignant gastric tissues at the frequency ranging from 42.58 to 500 MHz were measured by coaxial probe method, and the Cole?Cole model was used to fit the measured data. Receiver?operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was used to evaluate the discrimination capability with respect to permittivity, conductivity, and Cole?Cole fitting parameters. Support vector machine was used for discriminating normal and malignant gastric tissues, and the discrimination accuracy was calculated using k?fold cross?, Results: The area under the ROC curve was above 0.8 for permittivity at the 5 frequencies at the lower end of the measured frequency range. The combination of the support vector machine with the permittivity at all these 5 frequencies combined achieved the highest discrimination accuracy of 84.38% with a MATLAB runtime of 3.40 s., Conclusion: The support vector machine?assisted diagnosis is feasible for human malignant gastric tissues based on the dielectric properties.

Objective: To study the damage on organs from salt sensitivity hypertension or non-salt-sensitive hypertension and the selection of drug combination., Methods: 120 hypertensive patients including 60 cases salt-sensitive (SS) and 60 non-salt-sensitive (NSS) groups were selected in our hospital and their salt load tested. These two groups were randomly divided into two groups, each group with 30 patients, one was given felodipine and perindopril and the others were given indapamide sustained release tablets and perindopril to facilitate the 12-week treatment. Before and after the treatment, patients were tested for physiological indicators, such as sitting blood pressure, 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure, insulin resistance index, comparing changes of various sub-index etc., Results: Significantly different were seen in indices as fasting blood glucose and serum creatinine (P < 0.01), fasting insulin, left ventricular mass index, urinary albumin, body mass index, insulin resistance indices, while between the SS group and the NSS group (P < 0.05). In the SS group, when patients with various sub-indicators were using perindopril combined with indapamide treatment, the related detected indicators tended to be normal and with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). In the NSS group, those related indexes also tended to be more normal when using felodipine combined with perindopril. However, there were statistically significant differences between the two groups (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: On SS hypertensive patients with target organ damages, perindopril and indapamide seemed to be more effective in NSS patients, indicating that the use of perindopril and felodipine combination, seemed to be more suitable.

Objective: To study the chemical constituents of Arachniodes exilis., Methods: The methanolic extract was isolated and purified by silica gel, C18 reverse phase silica gel and Sepadex LH-20 gel column chromatography. The chemical structures were elucidated on the basis of the physicochemical properties and spectral data., Results: Eight phenolic compounds were obtained and identified as aspidin-BB (I), 4-methyl-2-butyl-3,5-dihydroxyphenol (II ), eriodictyol (III), epicatechin (IV), procyanidin B2 (V), miscathoside (VI), eriodictyol-7-O-beta-D-glucopyranuronide (VII), luteolin-4'-O-beta-D-glucopyranuronide (VIII), respectively., Conclusion: Compounds II-VIII are obtained from this plant for the first time.

Objective: To analyze risk factors in patients receiving mechanical ventilation in intensive care unit (ICU)., Methods: The study group consisted of 42 patients receiving mechanical ventilation for longer than 7 days. The general condition, primary diseases, the vital signs before ventilation, accessory examination, acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II (APACHE II) score, and the time of tracheostomy were collected. The patients were divided into two groups of deceased or survived when the mechanical ventilation was weaned. Comparative analysis of all the data was made with Logistic multiple regression., Results: Of the patients enrolled in the study, 22 (52.4%) survived and 20 (47.6%) died in the ICU. Difference in clinical data between death group and survival group was significant (P<0.05). In death group, the APACHE II score, the pressure adjusted heart rate (PAR), the level of blood urea nitrogen (BUN) were higher (all P<0.01), while the level of plasma albumin (ALB), the level of hematocrit (HCT) value, the amount of platelets (PLT) were lower (P<0.05 or P<0.01), and the time of tracheostomy was later compared with those of survival group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the time of mechanical ventilation, white blood cells (WBC) and incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) between two groups (all P>0.05). With Logistic multiple regression analysis, the time of tracheostomy, the levels of HCT value, the amount of PLT were correlated with requirement of long-term mechanical ventilation (LTMV) (P<0.05 or P<0.01)., Conclusion: The time of tracheostomy, the levels of HCT value, the amount of PLT were independent risk factors associated with patients requiring LTMV.

The authors achieved the temporal coherent control in an Er(3+)-doped telluride glass, one kind of disordered solids. The upconversion at 670 nm was modulated and the dephasing time was simulated as 300 fs. Moreover, the photon echo signal gave the dephasing time due to the phonon interaction. The agreement between the two data indicates that the interaction between the wavepacket and the phonon leads to the fast disappearance of wavepackets interference, which is helpful for the technique to be applied to the disordered solids.

Objective: To observe the changes of L929 cell membrane with atomic force microscope (AFM) after infrasound exposure and to explore the mechanisms of effect of infrasound on cell membrane., Methods: After primary culture, the L929 cells were exposed to infrasound with intensity output of 130 dB and frequency of 16 Hz 2 hours each day for 3 days. The subsequent changes in the membrane of the control cells and the cells exposed to the infrasound were determined by nano-scale scanning with AFM., Results: After infrasound exposure, the normal prominence of the membrane became short and the dent became shallow in the 7.5 microm x 7.5 microm and 4.0 microm x 4.0 microm photographs. The prominence appeared as cobblestones. The surface of the membrane became smooth., Conclusion: The membrane structure of the L929 cells can be changed by infrasound exposure with intensity of 130 dB and frequency of 16 Hz. The change might be one of the characteristics of effect of infrasound on cell membrane.

Though there is ongoing public concern on potential hazards and risk of electromagnetic radiation, the bioeffects mechanism of electromagnetic fields remains obscure. Heart is one of the organs susceptive to electromagnetic fields (EMF). This study was designed to assess the influence of high power pulse microwave and electromagnetic pulse irradiation on cardiomyocytes, to explore the critical mechanism of electromagnetic fields, and to explain the regular course of injury caused by exposure to pulse EMF. Cultured cardiomyocytes were irradiated by high power pulse microwave and electromagnetic pulse first, then a series of apparatus including atom force microscope, laser scanning confocal microscope and flow cytometer were used to examine the changes of cell membrane conformation, structure and function. After irradiation, the cardiomyocytes pulsated slower or stop, the cells conformation was abnormal, the cells viability declined, and the percentage of apoptosis and necrosis increased significantly (P< 0.01). The cell membrane had pores unequal in size, and lost its penetration character. The concentration of Na+, K+, Ca2+, Cl-, Mg2+, Ca2+ and P3+ in cell culture medium increased significantly (P< 0.01). and the concentration of Ca2+ in cells ([Ca2+]i) decreased significantly (P<0.01). The results indicated that cardiomyocytes are susceptible to non-ionizing radiation. Pulse electromagnetic field can induce cardiomyocytes electroporation, and can do great damage to cells conformation, structure and function. Electroporation is one of the most critical mechanisms to explain the athermal effects of electromagnetic radiation.

Amino acids and small peptides with different steric configurations and lipophilicities were appended to dopamine. Eighteen compounds have been synthesized. The attachment of D-amino acids or N-methyl amino acids onto the dopamine molecule caused a marked decrease in cardiovascular activity by intravenous injection, while the introduction of lipophilic amino acids caused a marked increase in myocardial contractility and blood pressure in anesthetized dogs. The durations of action were also prolonged.
