Objective: To summarize the clinical and histopathological data of skin basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), in order to improve the diagnosis rate of BCC and SCC. Methods: The clinical and pathological data of 170 cases of BCC and 100 cases of SCC confirmed by histopathological sectioning which collected between January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2018 was retrospective analysed. Results: The annual incidence of BCC and SCC increased gradually. The ratio of male to female was 0.8∶1 and 1∶1 respectively. The most frequent sites of BCC and SCC were exposure sites (head, neck and limbs). The coincidence rate of BCC clinical diagnosis and histopathological diagnosis was 62.4%, and that of SCC was 30.0%. BCC was easily confused with seborrheic keratosis (SK) and melanocytic nevus in clinical diagnosis. The clinical diagnosis of SCC was easily confused with BCC, Bowen disease and AK. Conclusions: BCC and SCC are common non-melanoma skin tumors, but it is easy to be misdiagnosed and escape diagnosis. Therefore, a histopathologic examination should be taken by clinicians for suspicious lesion as early as possible.
