ObjectiveTo utilize whole genome sequencing to comprehensively compare and analyze the genomic characteristics of Listeria monocytogenes （L. monocytogenes） and Listeria innocua （L. innocua） isolated from commercially available foods in Gansu Province.MethodsDuring 2021 and 2022， 25 strains of L. monocytogenes and 7 strains of L. innocua were isolated from commercially available food sources within Gansu Province and subjected to whole genome sequencing for phylogenetic lineage， clonal complex （CC）， sequence type （ST）， virulence gene， resistance gene， and pan-genome analyses.ResultsThe 32 Listeria strains examined could be classified into three distinct groups： L. monocytogenes lineages Ⅰ and Ⅱ and L. innocua. Considering their CC types， further subdivision into 10 subgroups was observed for L. monocytogenes， whereas L. innocua had 5 subgroups. Core genome multi-locus sequence typing effectively differentiated strains with different CC types within each lineage， with lineage Ⅰ showing a closer evolutionary relationship with L. innocua. All 25 L. monocytogenes strains carried Listeria pathogenicity island 1 （LIPI-1） and internalin genes； none carried LIPI-3， and 2 strains of ST87 carried LIPI-4. Conversely， none of the seven strains of L. innocua carried LIPI-1 or internalin genes； however， they all carried LIPI-4， and 5 carried LIPI-3. Among the L. monocytogenes strains， 16 carried surface sensory island 1 （SSI-1）， and 3 carried SSI-2； all 7 L. innocua strains did not carry SSI-1， but 6 of them carried SSI-2. The pan-genome size of L. monocytogenes increased linearly with the number of sequenced genomes. Upon reaching 15 strains， the number of core genes stabilized at 2 272， accounting for 46.2% of the pan-genome genes. Furthermore， 1 487 common core genes were shared between the 25 L. monocytogenes strains and 7 L. innocua strains， with the count tending to stabilize when the strain count reached 10.ConclusionMulti-locus sequence typing of the core genome can effectively distinguish among Listeria strains originating from different lineages and CCs. The similarity in the biochemical characteristics of L. monocytogenes and L. innocua is due to their close genetic relationship， while the differences in their pathogenicity can be attributed to the presence of certain virulence genes in L. monocytogenes.

Objective The International Medical Services Department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) has gradually promoted the concept and practice of palliative care since 2016. This study aims to analyze the death status of end-of-life patients before and after the promotion endeavor, in order to evaluate the impact of palliative care on the death quality. Methods All clinical data from end-of-life patients who died at the International Medical Services Department of PUMCH in 2013 and 2019 were retrospectively collected, and their diagnosis and treatment details before death were compared. Results A total of 36 end-of-life patients who died in 2013 and 37 end-of-life patients who died in 2019 met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. In 2013, there were 19 males and 17 females, with an average age of (72.1±14.0) years, and 19 cases had advanced cancer. In 2019, there were 19 males and 18 females, with an average age of (70.8±15.3) years, and 27 cases had advanced cancer. Compared to patients who died in 2013, a lower proportion of the patients in 2019 who were transferred to the ICU before death(0 vs. 22.2%, P=0.008), received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (0 vs. 16.7%, P=0.011), had tracheal intubation(5.4% vs. 36.1%, P=0.001), invasive mechanical ventilation(2.7% vs. 33.3%, P=0.001), and total parenteral nutrition(32.4% vs. 61.1%, P=0.014), while a higher proportion received palliative care consultations(29.7% vs. 0, P

Objective·To identify the causative gene and mutations and describe the clinical traits in a Chinese diabetes pedigree suspected of Wolfram syndrome.Methods·A total of 12 subjects from one family were included. The proband was admitted to the Department of Endocrinology, The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University, for the first time in May 2013. Then he visited the hospital for follow-up in July 2022 and in April 2023, respectively. The other members of this family included the proband′s sister, father, mother, paternal grandfather, paternal grandmother, uncle, aunt, as well as maternal grandfather, maternal grandmother, and two brothers of the proband′s mother. Clinical data of all subjects were collected. The whole exome sequencing was used to screen the pathogenic genes and mutation sites of six members of the family, and Sanger sequencing was used to verify the above results. Effects of the mutation of the pathogenic gene WFS1 in Wolfram syndrome on the function of the wolframin protein were evaluated by bioinformatics softwares, including CADD, DANN, MetaSVM, Polyphen-2, SIFT and M-CAP. The three-dimensional structures of wild-type and mutant wolframin proteins were constructed with Swiss-Model software, and visualized with PyMOL software. Cluster Omega software was used for evaluating species conservation of WFS1 gene mutation sites. JNetPRED software was used for online prediction of wolframin protein secondary structure.Results·The proband and his sister both carried R558H and S411Cfs*131 mutations, two compound heterozygous mutations of the Wolfram syndrome pathogenic gene WFS1. The proband′s father and parental grandfather both carried the R558H mutation, while the proband′s mother and maternal grandfather both carried the S411Cfs*131 mutation. The R558H mutation was a rare missense mutation, and the S411Cfs*131 mutation was a novel frameshift mutation. Bioinformatics analysis softwares predicted that the R558H mutation located in the α-helical structure of the wolframin protein. This mutation was a damage mutation and the amino acid sequence of the mutation region was highly conservative among 12 species with varying degrees of evolution, including humans.Conclusion·Two causative mutations of WFS1 gene are identified in a Chinese diabetes pedigree by whole exome sequencing. The study supplements the existing genotype and phenotype profiles of Wolfram syndrome, which can realize early diagnosis of diabetes pedigrees and help in performing timely follow-up of patients, so as to achieve early intervention and treatment of this disease.

In order to explore the protective effect of corn protein hydrolysate on intestinal barrier function, corn gluten meal was used as raw material and Alcalase was used as catalyst for enzymatic hydrolysis in current study. The effects of different enzymatic hydrolysis conditions on the content of glutamine in the hydrolysate were investigated, and the optimum hydrolysis system of corn protein was established. Then the sodium dextran sulfate was used as inducer to construct colitis model, and the alleviating effect of corn protein hydrolysate on colitis in mice was systematically evaluated. The results showed that the optimum hydrolysis conditions for Alcalase were a temperature of 64 ℃, hydrolysis time of 2.5 h, amount of enzyme of 1300 U/g. Under such condition, the content of glutamine in the hydrolysate could reach 8.79%. Corn protein hydrolysate (375 and 625 mg/kg·bw) significantly improved weight loss in colitis mice, reduced the colonic shortening and the disease activity index, diminished the infiltration of inflammatory cells in the colonic tissue, regulated the level of inflammatory cytokines, and played a good role in relieving colitis in mice. This study would provide theoretical basis for expanding high-value utilization of corn gluten meal and developing functional food for intestinal protection.

Objective: This study aimed to optimize the wet processing of coffee. Methods: The effects of pectinase concentration, temperature and drying method on the contents of flavor precursors and flavor substances in coffee beans were investigated. The quality ranking was obtained by grey correlation analysis and the volatile substances were analyzed. Results: There were significant differences in the contents of protein, crude fat, caffeic acid, caffeine, chlorogenic acid and volatile compounds among different pectinase concentration, temperature, sun drying and heat pump drying. Grey correlation analysis showed that the quality ranking of coffee in the 2% pectinase + 27 ℃+ sun-drying treatment group was the first. The protein content in green coffee beans was 14.04%, the crude fat content was 9.05%, the caffeic acid content in roasted coffee beans was 1.05 mg/g, the caffeine content was 1.41%, and the chlorogenic acid content was 13.89 mg/g. The relative contents of the main volatile substances esters and acids were 40.87 μg/g and 7.62 μg/g, respectively. Conclusion: The comprehensive quality of coffee obtained by 2% pectinase + 27 ℃ + sun-drying was the best.

Objective To implement and evaluate an online hybrid teaching mode as “rain classroom—directed self-study—scientific research design—home experiment” in the cloud experimental course of medical biochemistry for international students. Methods Research design and home experiments were introduced through revised design of teaching contents to develop a new online hybrid teaching mode. A total of 105 international students majoring in clinical medicine (MBBS, 89 students) and dentistry (BDS, 16 students) were selected to join the online the teaching mode during COVID-19 pandemic. Results Compared with the traditional experimental class, the cloud hybrid teaching model effectively stimulated students' enthusiasm and encouraged their participation in experimental course. Students used the existing teaching and online resources to complete the self-study independently, built capacity of research logical thinking, research methodology and then initiated research design and home experiments. Conclusions The training of research design and home experiments can support online experiment teaching in order to cultivate students' innovative thinking and capacity building of experiment technology, and to improve the teaching effect of online biochemistry experiments.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of cold storage temperature on the quality of plant-based bacon. Methods: The effect of cold storage temperature (-40, -20, 4 ℃) on texture characteristics, cooking loss, water activity, protein content, total number of colonies and microstructure of plant-based bacon were investigated, and the optimal cold storage conditions of plant-based bacon were explored. Results: During the period of refrigeration (0~30 d), the hardness, cooking loss rate and number of microorganisms of plant-based bacon increased, while the water activity decreased with the extension of refrigeration time. As refrigerated temperatures dropped, the plant-based bacon became more structurally stable and lose less water, retaining a higher percentage of protein and a lower microbial population. Conclusion: The optimum refrigeration temperature of plant-based bacon is -40 ℃.

Drought is an important stress affecting wheat production, which can reduce the quality of germination and seedling establishment. In order to understand the seed germination characteristics of wheat cultivars under drought stress, the germination characteristics under drought stress of 128 wheat cultivars widely used in production were identified by sand cultivation and water control method. Six wheat cultivars with significant differences in germination characteristics under drought stress ((Shannong 28 (SN28), Chang 6878 (C6878), Yannong 19 (YN19), Shannong 23 (SN23), Xinmai 296 (XM296), and Xinmai 38 (XM38)) were selected for physiological and biochemical analysis during seed germination under drought stress. The results showed that the germination characteristics under drought stress of 128 wheat cultivars were divided into 5 categories according to the drought tolerance coefficient of vigor index: good, the better, medium, the worse, and the worst. Eighteen wheat cultivars with good germination characteristics under drought stress, including SN28 and C6878, had fast seed germination and healthy seedlings. Twenty-six wheat cultivars with poor germination characteristics under drought stress, such as XM38 and- Lemai 185, had slow seed germination, dispersed germination time, low germination percentage (GP), and poor seedling uniformity. The physiological and biochemical indices of wheat cultivars with different germination characteristics under drought stress were further determined. The results showed that the relative expression level of TDP1 gene at the early stage of germination under drought in SN28 and C6878 with good germination characteristics under drought stress was significantly higher than the control. POD activity at the early stage of germination under drought was significantly higher than the control. The activities of α-amylase and cysteine protease were less affected by drought, and the soluble protein content at the late stage of germination was significantly higher than the control. However, the relative expression levels of DNA and protein repair genes in seed embryos of XM296 and XM38 with poor germination characteristics under drought stress were relatively delayed under drought stress. The activity of cysteine protease decreased significantly under drought stress. The above results indicated that wheat cultivars with good germination characteristics under drought stress showed strong macromolecular repair ability in seed embryos and antioxidant capacity in seed, early mobilization of storage substances during seed germination and seedling establishment under drought stress, and finally had fast germination speed and high seedling quality. In order to solve the problem of low gas drainage concentration in high-gas and low-permeability coal seams, the influence of various characteristic parameters on the pressure relief effect in the process of hydraulic flushing in low-permeability coal seams was explored. A study on the optimization of characteristic parameters of hydraulic flushing was carried out. First, the influence of different coal output, the number of holes and the hole spacing on the effect of hydraulic flushing is studied through single factor experiments. Secondly, according to Box-Benhnken theory, 17 sets of experiments were designed, and the results were analyzed by variance to establish a suitable quadratic model. Then, the significance of the three influencing factors on the experimental results was further analyzed by response surface. Finally, the design-expert software was used to obtain the optimal combination of hydraulic flushing characteristic parameters: single coal output 0.7 t, single hole flushing times of 12, and hole spacing 8 m. A mine of Lu’an Group was selected for field industrial test. By comparing the gas drainage concentration and the gas drainage rate of the test hole and the ordinary hole in the same location, it was shown that the gas drainage volume in the test hole has been increased by more than 3 times, and the gas drainage concentration has been increased by more than 2 times.

Objective To develope blending teaching method for inspiring students' interest and autonomy in learning, and improving students' learning outcome. Methods The clinical case guidance method, the combination of PBL (problem based learning) and LBL (lecture based learning), “rain classroom” and mind map summing up method were used in biochemistry lectures. Results Students were able to gradually establish the thinking mode of construction of meaning and integrate the complex knowledge to build up their own knowledge system. Blending teaching method made classroom teaching diversified and enriched to improve students' learning autonomy, which switched the thinking mode from the passive memory model to the active thinking mode of meaning construction. Conclusions The blending teaching method can improve students' learning interest, arouse their attention to the basic medical courses and build solid foundation for clinical medical courses learning.

Objective To explore the correlation between the parameters of the mandible and parameters of cervical vertebrae and craniofacial bone in class Ⅱ skeletal patients in Northeast China and to establish correlation equations expressing the relationship between the mandible and cervical vertebrae and craniofacial bone directly and quantitatively for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of orthodontics and orthognathics and for prediction. Methods The mandible, cranial facial bone and cervical vertebrae of 201 children and adolescents aged 8 to 20 years were measured using digital cranial lateral tablets. All of the cases were divided into male (n=75) and female (n=126) groups using a sensitivity analysis method based on genetic algorithms to select the craniofacial bone and cervical bone with strong sensitivity to mandible parameters and to establish relevant equations. Results Through sensitivity analysis, the parameters with the strongest correlation between the measured values of the mandible were H4 and SN, those with a strong correlation were SN-Ar, the anterior and posterior high ratio SGo/NGn, the Y axis angle and mandibular angle Ar-Go-Gn. The established equation was as follows: males: Ar-Pg=28.415+1.818×H4+0.746×SN(r2=0.056 8, P < 0.001); females: Ar-Pg=15.168+1.706×H4+0.675×SN+0.31×SN-Ar-0.29×Y axis angle (r2=0.611, P < 0.001). No significant difference was found between the predicted values obtained by the established equations and measured values (P > 0.05). Conclusion The mandibular length equation established by sensitivity analysis and genetic algorithms is statistically significant and can predict a certain degree of growth and development.

Surface vegetations are one of the key factors affecting the spread of green space fires. To explore the combustibility of commonly used local surface layer herbaceous species in Beijing, and to provide a reference for the construction and management of urban green space, we comprehensively evaluated the combustibility of Carex giral- diana, Carex breviculis, Liriope spicata, Iris lactea, Iris tectorum, and Buffaloe dactyloides, with the entropy weight method and K-mean cluster analysis based on the principal component analysis method. We measured the combustion characteristics indicators (blade ignition point, combustion time and heat release rate), physical and chemical indicators (leaf moisture content and crude fat content), and biological characteristics indicators ( blade thickness and unit load) during the key period of fire prevention. The results showed that blade thickness and ignition point got the highest weight and affected the overall combustibility most. Peak heat release rate and ignition time had the lowest weight and minimal impact on the overall combustibility. The combustibility of the six species followed an order of B. dactyloides > C. breviculmis > L. spicata > C. giraldiana > I. lactea > I. tectorum. Results of the cluste-ring analysis showed that the combustion ability of B. dactyloides, C. breviculmis, and L. spicata were in class I, with the strongest combustion ability; C. giraldiana was in class H ; I. lactea and I. tectorum were in class M, with the lowest flammability. As widely used surface vegetations, critical attention should be paid on B. dactyloides, C. breviculmis and L. spicata for fire prevention in winter and spring. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to reveal the synergistic effect of biological and engineering measures on improving saline-alkali soil, and to clarify the suitable buried spacing and organic-inorganic fertilizer application ratio for sunflower production in coastal agricultural areas, this paper designs three different hidden pipe spacing of 10 m (S1), 15 m (S2), and 20 m (S3), as well as six fertilization treatments of 100% organic fertilizer (100% OF), 75% organic fertilizer+25% inorganic fertilizer (75% OF), 50% organic fertilizer+50% inorganic fertilizer (50% OF), 25% organic fertilizer+75% inorganic fertilizer (25% OF), 100% inorganic fertilizer (0% OF) and no fertilization (CK). The response of sunflower yield, quality, nitrogen utilization, and soil available nutrients, organic matter, and total salt content is observed. The results show that under the same distance between tubes, the 25% OF fertilization treatment has the most significant yield increase effect, while under the same fertilization treatment, the S2 spacing is at a higher level in sunflower yield. Under different treatments, the 25% of fertilization treatment has the highest sunflower yield under S2 condition, reaching 3.82 t/hm2. Increasing the proportion of organic fertilizer application is beneficial for increasing the content of crude fat, oleic acid, and linoleic acid in sunflower seeds. Fertilization treatment significantly increases the nitrogen uptake amount of sunflower plants, with an increase of 18.1-47.2%, 8.6-40.5%, and 8.8-34.5% under S1, S2, and S3 spacing compared with CK treatment, respectively. The nitrogen utilization efficiency of sunflowers shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing with the increase in organic fertilizer proportion, S2-25% OF and S1-25% OF treatments at a higher level, reaching 44.2% and 43.9%, respectively. The content of available nitrogen, available phosphorus, and available potassium in soil is positively correlated with the proportion of organic fertilizer application. Under S1-S3 spacing, the content of available nitrogen, available phosphorus, and available potassium in organic fertilizer treatment is on average 22.0%, 2.4%, and 26.4% higher than CK. The smaller the distance between hidden pipes and the higher the proportion of organic fertilizer application will lead to the higher the salt reduction rate of the topsoil. The salt reduction rate of the 100% of treatment under S1 spacing has reached 42.6%. Considering the factors such as yield, quality, and nitrogen fertilizer utilization efficiency, this paper recommends using a 25% organic fertilizer application ratio under 15 m dark tube spacing as the optimal plan for sunflower production in saline alkali soil. The experiment was conducted to study the effect of corn stalk leaves and pith on the growth performance, nutrient apparent digestibility, and serum biochemical indexes of mutton sheep. Thirty healthy ewes weighing (30.0 ± 3.0) kg were randomly divided into two groups according to the principle of similar body weight, with three replicates in each group and five ewes in each replicate. The sheep in the control group were fed a corn straw as the roughage, the sheep in the experimental group were fed corn stalk leaves and pith as the roughage, and the sheep in the experimental group and the control group were fed the same concentrate. The pre-trial period was 10 days and the formal trial period was 90 days. The results showed that compared with the control group, the average daily gain of the experimental group increased by 10.58%, the average daily dry matter intake increased by 1.01%, and the feed to gain ratio decreased by 8.66%. The apparent digestibility rates of dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, calcium, and phosphorus in the experimental group were 6.52%, 8.69%, 9.43%, 8.17%, 8.43%, 5.87%, and 6.51% higher than those in the control group, respectively. Compared with the control group, the total protein content, globulin content, and alkaline phosphatase activity in the serum of sheep in the experimental group increased by 3.41%, 10.70%, and 12.42%, respectively, and the urea nitrogen content decreased by 5.00%. The concentrations of serum immunoglobulin A, immunoglobulin M, immunoglobulin G, complement C3, and complement C4 in the experimental group were 5.89%, 7.90%, 7.58%, 6.95%, and 2.66% higher than those in the control group, respectively. Harvesting energy from the surrounding environment is an effective way to replenish energy in energy-constrained wireless networks. An energy-aware distributed relay selection algorithm(MHE) is proposed to improve the reliability of information transmission. Firstly, the algorithm compares the energy-constrained relay nodes′ energy to select cooperative relay. Then, the selected relay node forwards the amplified information with the energy harvesting from the source′s RF signal. Finally, the throughput of the system with proposed algorithm is gotten and it′s proved that the proposed selection protocols indeed can improve the system performances through theory. Simulation results have verified the analysis and theorems.

The meso-damage evolution behavior of composite solid propellant is summarized. The research progress of meso-damage evolution of composite solid propellants is reviewed from three main aspects: the characterization method of meso-damage evolution, the finite element numerical simulation of meso-damage evolution and the viscoelastic constitutive model with damage. The shortcomings of current research and future research directions are pointed out. It was indicated that in the microscopic characterization aspect, it is difficult to realize the meso-damage characterization analysis under dynamic and complex loads, and new micro-scopic characterization methods need to be developed to improve the dynamic multi-scale observation means to solve the problem of quantitative damage characterization. In the numerical simulation aspect, the two-dimensional RVE model and the interface model only applicable to a single load cannot reflect the real meso-damage evolution, and a three-dimensional RVE model, which can reflect the mesoscopic structure, and an interface model considering the effects of temperature and strain rate need to be established to obtain the accurate mesoscopic damage evolution process of propellant. In terms of constitutive model with damage, most of the phenomenological based constitutive models are unable to reflect the impact of mesoscopic structural changes on the mechanical response. In recent years, the role of dietary factors in chronic diseases has received extensive attention. Objective To explore the role of Wnt signaling pathway in the process of epithelial layer's disappearance when Oxydiethanoldiethylene GlcNAc influence development of upper lip. Methods The over/lower-expression of O-GlcNAc and reverse-high expression experimental group was constructed by transplanting beads into the upper lip of chicken embryo which contain O-GlcNAc promoter OGT (O-GlcNAc transferase), O-GlcNAc inhibitor OGA (O-GlcNAcase) or OGA inhibitor STZ(streptozoticin). and kept incubation for 24 h. Phenotypic analysis of skeletal and morphological changes were performed by using Alizarin Red/Alcian Blue method. TUNEL assay was performed to analyze the cell apoptosis. Immunohistochemistry method was performed to test the Wnt signaling pathway including GSK-3β, β-catenin. Results In the group OGZ and STZ where O-GlcNAc was overexpressed, disappearance of the epithelial layers was delayed, embryo lips appeared bone defect in bonestaining, compared with the normal group, obvious cell apoptosis has not been found in TUNEL detection.But expression of GSK-3 beta increased in the cytoplasm, expression of beta-catenin nucleus reduced, upper lip development of normal side and the low expression of O-GlcNAc in the OGA group were not affected. Conclusion Overexpression of O-GlcNAc may lead to a delay of epithelial disappearance which was not caused by the apoptosis but maybe caused by inhibiting Wnt signaling pathway. The process can change related signaling factors including GSK-3 beta, beta-catenin, which may influence the development of upper lip and in the end lead to cleft lip and palate.

In view of problems of slow running speed, inflexible software programming existed in motor soft starter for belt conveyor and shredder because of taking 8 or 16 bits single-chip microcomputer as microprocessor, a soft starter based on STM32 and CPLD was designed. The starter adopts STM32F103C8T63 as intelligent control core and CPLD as assistant control core, generates a corresponding output information according to feedback information of voltage detection, current detection and external input device, and uses drive circuit to control trigger angle of three sets of inverse parallel thyristors to change motor starting voltage or frequency, so as to control the motor starting. The experimental results show that the soft starter overcomes disadvantage of big transient current of direct starting of motor, which has a good effect for improving start features of asynchronous motor.

To understand the performance of oxyaction sodium percarbonate disinfectant, the physicochemical index, toxicity and toxicology, stability, disinfection efficacy and other properties thereof were evaluated. The results showed that the physicochemical properties accorded with corresponding industry standards. Disinfection test showed that under specified conditions, the average killing log values were ≥5.00 for Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, ≥4.00 for Candida albicans, and ≥4.00 for Aspergillus niger. The natural decay rates of natural bacteria from three repetitive tests conducted in a 20 m² sealed room were all ≥90%. The average killing log values were ≥3.0 for Escherichia coli on cloth, and ≥1.0 for natural bacteria on table surface. The disinfection efficacy against fecal coliform in medical waster water met the industry standard. Meanwhile, the product was only mildly corrosive to carbon steel, and not corrosive to aluminum, copper or stainless steel. Objective To study the clinical effect of the SCMC APL-2010 regimen in the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) in children. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of 44 children with APL who received treatment with the SCMC APL-2010 regimen between April 2010 and July 2016. The Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was used to evaluate event-free survival (EFS) rate and overall survival (OS) rate. Results Of the 44 children with APL, 42 (95%) achieved a complete remission (CR) after one course of treatment and 1 achieved CR after two courses of treatment, with an overall CR rate of 98%. The 9-year EFS and OS rates were 96%±3% and 97.7%±2.2% respectively. As for adverse events, 41 (93%) had infection, 29 (66%) had granulocyte reduction, 12 (27%, 1 died) had differentiation syndrome, 16 (36%) had liver dysfunction, 12 (27%) had adverse gastrointestinal reactions, and 7 (16%) had QT prolongation, 1 (2%) had orchitis, and no secondary neoplasm was observed. Conclusions Children with APL receiving the SCMC APL-2010 regimen have a good prognosis and can achieve a long-term survival, while treatment-related infection is commonly seen. In order to understand the ignition and combustion characteristics of tetraethylammonium dodecahydrododecaborate, laser ignition experiments were conducted on a sample with an equivalent diameter of 1.11 mm to determine its ignition and combustion parameters. Combining with the pyrolysis behaviors in both nitrogen and air atmospheres achieved by thermogravimetric analysis/mass spectrometry, the combustion mechanism of tetraethylammonium dodecahydrododecaborate was also e-valuated. The results show that tetraethylammonium dodecahydrododecaborate, which cracks at above 300°C in both nitrogen and air atmosphere, has a good thermal stability. During the cracking process, the material is oxidized simulaneously and oxidized strongly and gain weight when heated to 650°C. This compound can be ignited easily in air, and its ignition delay time is determined to be 45.8 ms with the ignition power density of 4.72 X 106 W/m², and the total burning time is 2.467 s. The surface temperature is 1 600-1 800°C during the combustion process. It is proposed that, in the combustion process of tetraethylammonium dodecahydrododecaborate, both H2 release and skeleton cracking occur, and the combustion of the gaseous hydrocarbon compounds formed from skeleton cracking could lead to obvious traces of smoke. Heavy metal pollution in the soil of farmland is regarded as serious threats to agricultural production environment in China. Zihu River is located in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. The source of Zihu River is the purple mountain, a famous local mountain. The pollution problem of Zihu River has aroused public concerns because of heavy metal contamination caused by sewage. To investigate and assess the situation of heavy metal pollution of Zihu River region, concentrations of heavy metals including As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn were determined and analyzed for brook water, the soil from river silt and riverbank, as well as for the riverbank plants of nine species. These species include Trifolium repens, Alternanthera philoxeroides, Chenopodium glaucum, Commelina communis, Ranunculus ternatus, Poa annua, Ligustrum lucidum, Lycium chinense, Broussonetia papyrifera. An assessment of heavy-metal contamination was conducted by means of pollution index (Pi). Such data may provide information for screening of heavy metal accumulator, and for phytoremediation of heavy metals. The results indicated that serious contamination of Cd and Mn was found in the brook water, the concentrations for Cd and Mn were 0.003 mg/L and 0.124 mg/L, respectively. Among the heavy metals in the soil from the river silt, contamination of Zn, Cd and Cu was serious based on the Pi values (18.89, 8.53 and 6.25, respectively), with the order of potential ecological risk as: Zn>Cd>Cu>Pb>As>Ni> Cr>Mn. Pearson correlation analysis showed a significantly (p < 0.05) positive correlation among concentrations of heavy metals in the riparian soil, which indicated that they were mainly polluted by sewage and silt. High concentrations of Cd, Zn and Cu were investigated from the soil of the riverbank based on the Pi values (3.68, 3.61 and 3.41, respectively). The bioconcentration factor (BFs) to Cd, Cr and Pb were quite lower among all the nine species due probably to the selective absorption of the plants. Because Pb is toxic to all plants, the transfer factors (TF) to Pb for all the nine species were typically less than 1. This meant that they were all compartment types to Pb. Plants growing on the sites with heavy metal pollution can gradually evolve into differentiated ecotypes based on the survey of plant population and the result of heavy metal concentration. Wetland ecotypes, Alternanthera philoxeroides and Ranunculus ternatus, have an advantage for accumulating of heavy metals. Poa annua, Chenopodium glaucum and Lycium chinense can resistant to absorption heavy metals. Broussonetia papyrifera, a species of woody plants, will play a great function in the field of phytoremediation for soils contaminated by heavy metals in the future due to its higher bioconcentration factor and transfer factor to some heavy metals, as well as its huge biomass. Watershed ecological risk assessment is an important research subject of watershed ecological protection and environmental management. Research on the ecological risk focuses on addressing the influence of human activities and its spatial variation at watershed scale is vital to policy-making to control the impact of human activity and protocols for sustainable economic and societal development. A comprehensive ecological environment index, incorporating a landscape index and an assessment of ecological vulnerability, was put forward to assess the spatio-temporal characteristics of ecological risk of the Bailongjiang watershed, southern Gansu Province, Northwest China. Using ArcGIS and Fragstats software and a land use map of 2010, an ecological risk map was obtained through spatial sampling and disjunctive Kriging interpolation. The results indicated that there were some obvious spatial differences of ecological risk levels in the watershed. The ecological risk level of the north and northwest of the Bailongjiang was higher than that of the western and southern extremities of the watershed. Ecological risk index (ERI) of Wudu and Tanchang was higher than that of Wenxian and Diebu. Some measures for ecological risk management were put forward on the basis of ERI of Bailongjiang watershed. To strengthen the integrated management of human activities and land use in the watershed, to carry out the vegetation restoration and ecological reconstruction, and to reduce the ecological risks and hazards of irrational human disturbance, are vital to the realization 'multiple-win' of the economic, social and ecological protection and for the sustainable development in the hilly area in southern Gansu. This paper focuses on developing an agricultural droughty monitoring method in north Jiangsu province based on the measurements from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS). In order to build soil moisture estimation model, we collected gravimetric water content of soil at experimental sites in 2011, measured the soil moisture of the sites in 2012, and downloaded the 8-day MODIS reflectance and land surface temperature data from January to May in 2011 and 2012 in this study region. The gravimetric water content of soil included soil moisture at 10 cm depth and at 20 cm depth. The used MODIS data have some noise from atmospheric effects, and some data can not be acquired because of cloud. Therefore, a Savitzky-Golay (S-G) filter method was selected to remove NDVI and LST noise, and generate lost NDVI and LST. Then, the Temperature-Vegetation Dryness Index (TVDI) was calculated from the re-created NDVI and LST data. A correlation analysis between TVDI and soil moisture at 10 cm and 20 cm depth were conducted. The results showed that TVDI was more correlative with soil moisture at 10 cm depth compared to at 20 cm depth, and that soil moisture at 10 cm depth was highly correlative with soil moisture at 20 cm depth. Based on the TVDI and soil moisture data at 10 cm depth, an empirical model for soil moisture estimation was built and validated. In addition, an empirical model was also built to describe the relationship between soil moisture at 10 cm and 20 cm depth. Finally, the two models was utilized to estimate soil moisture at 20 cm depth in the area from MODIS data, and the estimated soil moisture was used to monitor field droughty status with a criterion about wheat field draughty evaluation. The results show that S-G filter method removes the MODIS data noise, and can be used to generate the lost data. The correlation analysis between soil moisture and TVDI shows that TVDI has higher correlation with soil moisture at 10 cm depth, and a linear model can be used to best-fit the relationship between TVDI and the soil moisture at 10 cm depth. The correlation analysis between soil moisture at 10 cm depth and at 20 cm depth shows that soil moisture at 20 cm depth has higher correlation with soil moisture at 10 cm depth, and a linear model can be used to best-fit the relationship between soil moisture at 10 cm depth and at 20 cm depth. The validation experiments show that the model obtains a high accuracy of soil moisture estimation with an r2 of 0.575 and a RMSE of 2.59 %. Using this model, soil moisture maps at 10 cm depth were obtained. The linear model describing the relationship between soil moisture at 10 cm and 20 cm depth was used to obtain soil moisture maps at 20 cm depth. Wheat field draught maps in north Jiangsu Province were obtained by the criterion about wheat field draughty evaluation. Objective To investigate the effects of intermaxillary factors and distraction frequency on rapid teeth movement through reducing resistance and distraction by establishing experimental animal models. Methods Twelve Beagle dogs were equally divided into two groups randomly. One group was randomly operated on with different treatments in the maxillary: distraction twice a day through reducing resistance, distraction six times a day through reducing resistance, and conventional distraction. Each treatment was carried out on 4 sides. The other group underwent the same operation in the mandible. Distance of teeth transportation, pulp vitality, tooth mobility and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images were evaluated at two time points: 15 days after distraction and 30 days after distraction. Results After 15 days of distraction, the distance of teeth transportation had no significant difference for intermaxillary discrepancy with frequencies of 2q·d-1 and 6q·d-1 through reducing resistance and distraction (P>0.05), and the speed of movement was significantly higher than that of conventional distraction without obvious side effects (P<0.05). Conclusion Teeth can be moved rapidly through reducing resistance and distraction in the maxillary and the mandible, and distraction with high frequency is more beneficial to physiological reconstruction of teeth. Based on the investigations of fish resources in Jingpo Lake and Wudalianchi Lakes in 2008-2011 and the historical data, this paper analyzed the characteristics of ichthyofauna and its community diversity in volcanic barrier lakes of Northeast China. The ichthyofauna in the volcanic barrier lakes of Northeast China was consisted of 64 native species, belonging to 47 genera, 16 families, and 9 orders, among which, one species was the second class National protected wild animal, four species were Chinese endemic species, and five species were Chinese vulnerable species. In the 64 recorded species, there were 44 species of Cypriniformes order and 37 species of Cyprinidae family dominated, respectively. The ichthyofauna in the volcanic barrier lakes of Northeast China was formed by 7 fauna complexes, among which, the eastern plain fauna complex was dominant, the common species from the South and the North occupied 53.1%, and the northern endemic species took up 46.9%. The Shannon, Fisher-α, Pielou, Margalef, and Simpson indices of the ichthyofauna were 2.078, 4.536, 0.575, 3.723, and 0.269, respectively, and the abundance distribution pattern of native species accorded with lognormal model. The Bray-Curtis, Morisita-Horn, Ochiai, Sørensen, and Whittaker indices between the communities of ichthyofauna in the volcanic barrier lakes of Northeast China and the Jingpo Lake were 0.820, 0.992, 0.870, 0.862 and 0.138, respectively, and those between the communities of ichthyofauna in the volcanic barrier lakes and the Wudalianchi Lakes were 0.210, 0.516, 0.838, 0.825, and 0.175, respectively. The ichthyofauna in volcanic barrier lakes of Northeast China was characterized by the mutual infiltration between the South and the North, and the overlap and transition between the Palaeoarctic realm and the Oricetal realm. It was suggested that the ichthyofauna community species diversity in the volcanic barrier lakes of Northeast China was higher, the species structure was more stable, but the species richness trended to decrease.
