Objective To investigate the cardiac structural and functional characteristics in the patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM),and predict the factors influencing the characteristics. Methods A total of 783 HFpEF patients diagnosed in the Department of Geriatric Cardiology,the First Hospital of Lanzhou University from April 2009 to December 2020 were enrolled in this study.Echocardiography and tissue Doppler technique were employed to evaluate cardiac structure and function.According to the occurrence of T2DM,the patients were assigned into a HFpEF+T2DM group ( n =332) and a HFpEF group ( n =451).Propensity score matching (PSM)(in a 1∶1 ratio) was adopted to minimize confounding effect.According to urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER),the HFpEF+T2DM group was further divided into three subgroups with UAER<20 μg/min,of 20-200 μg/min,and>200 μg/min,respectively.The comorbidities,symptoms and signs,and cardiac structure and function were compared among the groups to clarify the features of diabetes related HFpEF.Multivariate linear regression was conducted to probe the relationship of systolic blood pressure,blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin,and UARE with cardiac structural and functional impairment. Results The HFpEF+T2DM group had higher prevalence of hypertension ( P =0.001) and coronary heart disease ( P =0.036),younger age ( P =0.020),and larger body mass index ( P =0.005) than the HFpEF group,with the median diabetic course of 10 (3,17) years.After PSM,the prevalence of hypertension and coronary heart disease,body mass index,and age had no significant differences between the two groups(all P >0.05).In addition,the HFpEF+T2DM group had higher interventricular septal thickness ( P =0.015),left ventricular posterior wall thickness ( P =0.040),and left ventricular mass ( P =0.012) and lower early diastole velocity of mitral annular septum ( P =0.030) and lateral wall ( P =0.011) than the HFpEF group.Compared with the HFpEF group,the HFpEF+T2DM group showed increased ratio of early diastolic mitral filling velocity to early diastolic mitral annular velocity (E/e') ( P =0.036).Glycosylated hemoglobin was correlated with left ventricular mass ( P =0.011),and the natural logarithm of UAER with interventricular septal thickness ( P =0.004),left ventricular posterior wall thickness ( P =0.006),left ventricular mass ( P <0.001),and E/e' ratio ( P =0.049). Conclusion The patients with both T2DM and HFpEF have thicker left ventricular wall,larger left ventricular mass,more advanced left ventricular remodeling,severer impaired left ventricular diastolic function,and higher left ventricular filling pressure than the HFpEF patients without T2DM.Elevated blood glucose and diabetic microvascular diseases might play a role in the development of the detrimental structural and functional changes of the heart.

Objective: To study the effects of α-enolase ( ENO1 ) gene interference expression on proliferation, and cell cycle of follicular granulosa cells from Zi geese. Methods: F1 follicular granulosa cells were primary cultured (mixed culture), which were divided into four groups: ENO1 interference expression group (RNAi), unrelated sequence group (NC), culture group (Control), transfection reagent group (Lip). The apoptosis rate and cell cycle phase of the interference group and the control group were detected by the flow cytometry. Results: ENO1 gene interference expression slowed the proliferation of granulosa cells, increased the apoptosis, and increased the proportion of granulosa cells in G2/M phase. Conclusion: ENO1 gene interference expression could cause G2/M phase arrest in primary cultured goose follicular granulosa cells, induce cell apoptosis and inhibit cell proliferation.

Objective: To explore the application value of multiple disciplinary team Enhanced recovery after surgery (MDT-ERAS) in cesarean section and evaluate its health economic benefits. Methods: A total of 572 cases of pregnant women undergoing cesarean section in obstetrics department of Jiaxing Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital from March 2018 to March 2019 were selected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group, 286 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional rehabilitation mode, and the experimental group was treated with MDT-ERAS intervention to compare the difference of rehabilitation index and health economics index between the two groups, and to evaluate the application value and health economics benefit of MDT-ERAS. Results: The VAS scores of the two groups at 1 day after operation were higher than those at the time of returning to the ward after operation(1.81±0.40 VS. 1.58±0.39, 3.78±0.89 VS. 3.22±0.83, all P< 0.05). The VAS scores at 2 days and 3 days after operation were lower than those at the time of returning to the ward(0.58±0.09 VS. 1.58±0.39, 1.02±0.15 VS. 1.58±0.39; 1.88±0.37 VS. 3.22±0.83, 2.67±0.44 VS. 3.22±0.83, all P< 0.05). The VAS scores of the experimental group at each time point after operation were lower than those of the control group(1.58±0.39 VS. 3.22±0.83, 1.81±0.40 VS. 3.78±0.89, 1.02±0.15 VS. 2.67±0.44, 0.58±0.09 VS. 1.88±0.37), and these differences were statistically significant ( P< 0.05). The anal exhaust time, indwelling catheterization time, first time out of bed and first time eating time of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group, with statistical significance ( P< 0.05). Postpartum hemorrhage rate and neonatal milk addition rate in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group (all P< 0.05). The hospitalization time and hospitalization expenses of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group(all P< 0.05), and the health economics benefit of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the latter ( P< 0.05). Conclusion: MDT-ERAS can effectively improve the recovery rate of the parturient after cesarean section, ensure the analgesic effect and improve the maternal and infant outcomes, and has higher health and economic benefits, which is worthy of promotion.

Objective: To research the hormone secretion levels of progesterone and estrogen and the gene expression levels of two go-nadotropin receptors follicle stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR) and luteinizing hormone receptor (LHR) in granular cells of laying hen, and the effect of culture time on the levels of hormone secretion and expression of related receptor gene in granulosa cells was inferred., Methods: The experiment using the method of cells culture in vitro , the granular cells supernatants of hens were collected at 0 h, 24 h, 48 h, 72 h, 96 h, the progesterone and estrogen concentrations in cell supernatants were determined by ELISA kits, and detected the expression of FSHR and LHR gene in granular cells by real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR., Results: The results showed that the progesterone and estrogen secretion reduced in the early culture of 0 h~48 h( P < 0.05), with the culture time increases to 72 h, the secretion of two hormones began to in-crease, and reaching the level of the initial level of culture. When the cells were cultured to 96 h, the rogesterone and estrogen secretion was reduced again. The lower levels of FSHR and LHR mRNA expression in granular cells appeared with the increase of culture time, compared with the group of cell culture to 0 h, the mRNA expression levels of each groups reduced obviously( P < 0.05)., Conclusions: The amount of progesterone and estrogen in the cultured follicular granulosa cells decreased with the increase of in vitro culture time, and then increased. This might be related to the growth state of cells cultured in vitro . But on the whole, with the extension of the training time, the secretion of proges-terone and estrogen in the cells decreased. This may be related to the decreased expression of the FSHR and LHR genes in the two go-nadotropin receptors.

Objective: To explore the diagnostic values of ratios of early diastolic peak transmitral velocity(E) to late velocity(A) (E/A) and E to early diastolic peak mitral annulus velocity (E/E') for heart failure patients with preserved ejection fraction (HF-PEF)., Methods: Two hundred and sixteen healthy people were divided into <50 years, 50-59 years, 60-69 years, and ≥70 years groups to clarify the impact of aging on E/A and E/E'. Two hundred and two newly diagnosed consecutive in-patients with HF-PEF and 221 age- and sex-matched non-heart-failure subjects with risk factors of HF-PEF (negative controls) were enrolled.The diagnostic values and cutoff points of E/A and E/E' for HF-PEF were derived from receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis., Results: E/A and E/E' were significantly different among age groups in healthy controls (all P<0.01). Compared with <50 years group, average E/A was lower and average E/E' was higher in ≥70 years group(both P<0.01). E/A ratio was less than 1 in 68%(71/105), E/E' was >8 cm/s in 48% (50/105)healthy people with age≥60 years. Neither E/A nor E/E' of HF-PEF patients was statistically different regarding to NYHA classification (grade Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ), but NT-proBNP value increased in proportion to higher NYHA classification(P<0.01). The area of E/E' under ROC for diagnosing HF-PEF was 0.839(P<0.01), and the corresponding cutoff point was 9.5 with a sensitivity of 86% and a specificity of 69%. The areas of E/A (larger value or smaller value indicating positive) under ROC for diagnosing HF-PEF were 0.469 and 0.531, respectively(all P>0.05)., Conclusions: Aging exerts significant impacts on both E/A and E/E'. E/E' has moderate diagnostic accuracy while E/A is of limited value for diagnosing HF-PEF.

Objective: To construct a beta-hydroxyacyl-acyl carrier protein dehydratase (FABZ) mutant of Toxoplasma gondii with tetracycline inducible expression system., Methods: The fabz gene was amplified from T. gondii genomic DNA, and then used to construct the tetracycline inducible expression vector pTetO7-Sag1-FABZ-Ty-DHFR. The vector was transfected into TATi strain by electroporation. The FABZ defective mutant was selected by pyrimethamine and limitting dilution assay. The expression of Ty-tagged mutant was detected by Western blotting. 5 x 10(5) tachyzoites of FABZ defective mutant were cultured in HFF in the presence of anhydrotetracycline (ATc, 1 microg/ml) for 24 h and 48 h, respectively. The expression of Ty-tagged FABZ protein in the mutant was detected by Western blotting., Results: The mutant could express the transit peptide (t-FABZ) and mature FABZ (m-FABZ) with the Ty-epitope tag. After ATc added in culture medium for 24 h and 48 h, the expression of t-FABZ in the mutant decreased significantly (P<0.05)., Conclusion: The FABZ mutant is constructed with a tetracycline inducible expression system.

Purpose: To assess the efficacy of gingival retraction paste versus gingival retraction cord in fixed prosthodontics on gingiva protection, tooth preparation, clarity of the impression and plaster model, and aptness of the prosthesis., Methods: Chinese BioMedical Literature Database, VIP, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Wangfang database were searched on November 15th 2012 for eligible studies. Hand-searching included references of the included studies and Chinese dental journals. Risk of bias of the included studies was assessed by 2 reviewers independently using Cochrane Collaboration's tool, and data extraction was done by the 2 reviewers. Meta analysis was performed with Revman 5.1 software., Results: Nine randomized controlled trials, involving 1153 participants, were included. All of them had moderate risk of bias. Meta analysis revealed that gingival retraction paste had better effect on gingival health [RR=1.05, 95%CI (1.00, 1.11), P=0.04], tooth preparation [RR=1.17, 95%CI (1.07, 1.28), P=0.0008] and clarity of the impression and plaster model [RR=1.08, 95%CI (1.03, 1.13), P=0.0009] than gingival retraction cord, and the aptness of the prosthesis was as good as the cord [RR=1.07, 95%CI (0.96, 1.19), P=0.21]., Conclusions: The gingival retraction paste has better effect on gingival health, tooth preparation and clarity of the impression and plaster model, while the aptness of the prosthesis is as good as the cord and can be considered as a good candidate of the gingival retraction cord, but more randomized controlled trials are needed.

Objective: To investigate the Raman spectral characteristics of the pathological lip minor salivary glands affected in primary Sjögren's syndrome., Methods: Thirty pathological samples and 30 normal samples were collected in this study. The samples were examined by Raman microscope.Support vector machine(SVM) was employed to analyze the data and establish the classification model., Results: The spectra of pathological tissues was different from the controls in proteins, nucleic acids, lipids and glycogen skeleton. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the model established by SVM on the training sets were all 92.0% (92/100), but the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the model established by SVM on the testing sets were 69.2% (37/53), 100.0% (37/37) and 82.0% (73/89) respectively., Conclusions: There was significant difference in Raman spectra between the pathological and normal lip salivary glands, and the classification model established by SVM could discriminate the pathological glands from the normal ones.

An imaging system based on a Microchannel Plate (MCP) detector was designed to image the Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) light. The images of a 3 mm-width-slit were presented by this imaging system at the wavelengths of 13, 17.1, 19.5 and 30.4 nm respectively. Their corresponding spatial resolutions are 85, 120, 182 and 495 microm respectively. The best is 85 microm, corresponding to 13 nm. Moreover, the shorter the wavelength, the better the spatial resolution. So is the brightness of the image.
