Soil carbohydrates, such as glucose and fructose, are essential components of soil organic matter (SOM). They serve as the primary carbon and energy sources for soil microorganisms and play a crucial role in regulating SOM stability, both directly and indirectly. Despite their ecological importance, the transformation processes and forms of soil carbohydrates are still not well-understood, despite centuries of extensive study. The use of stable carbon isotopes as natural tracers offers distinct advantages over radioisotope techniques, including safety, cleanliness, and ease of control. As a result, stable carbon isotope analysis has been widely employed in soil carbon cycling research. The examination of carbon isotopic variation in carbohydrates using stable carbon isotope tracers contributes to our understanding of carbohydrate transformation and accumulation processes within the plant-soil-microorganism system. It also enhances our comprehension of soil carbon metabolism. This paper provides an introduction to the types, sources, and pretreatment methods of soil carbohydrates. Furthermore, it reviews the theory and methods of stable carbon isotope analysis as applied to carbohydrates and their relevance to the study of soil carbon cycling. Lastly, it offers a comprehensive summary of current research challenges and prospects for future advancements in soil carbon cycling research.

Objective To investigate the levels and clinical significance of serum microRNA (miR)-651 and miR-630 in patients with cervical cancer. Methods From June 2017 to May 2020, 108 cervical cancer patients accepted by our hospital were collected as the cervical cancer group. Meantime, 100 cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) patients treated in our hospital were regarded as the CIN group, and 110 healthy individuals who underwent physical examination were regarded as the control group. Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) was applied to detect serum levels of miR-651 and miR-630, while analyzing the relationship between serum miR-651 and miR-630 as well as clinical features and prognosis of patients. Results The serum levels of miR-651 and miR-630 in the cervical cancer group and CIN group were obviously lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), while the serum levels of miR-651 and miR-630 in the cervical cancer group were obviously lower than those in the CIN group (P < 0.05). The expression levels of serum miR-651 and miR-630 were positively correlated (r = 0.542, P < 0.05). The serum levels of miR-651 and miR-630 were related to HPV infection, differentiation, lymph node metastasis, and FIGO staging (P < 0.05). The overall survival rate of patients with low levels of miR-651 and miR-630 was lower than that of patients with high levels. Cox regression analysis showed that, HPV infection, degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis, FIGO staging, miR-651, and miR-630 were all influencing factors for the prognosis of cervical cancer patients (P < 0.05). Conclusion The serum levels of miR-651 and miR-630 in cervical cancer patients decrease, which are related to HPV infection, differentiation, lymph node metastasis, FIGO staging, and prognosis. Aiming at the problem of object detection in complex driving scene, an algorithm based on dilated convolution feature adaptive fusion was proposed. The single-stage object detection network RetinaNet was adopted as the basic framework, including feature extraction, multi-scale feature fusion, and object classification and regression subnets. To improve the capability of multi-scale feature extraction, a residual convolution branch module based on different expansion rate combinations was designed to obtain target feature maps in different receptive fields. Then, features at different scales were adaptively fused through the paameters leaned by network itself, and the output fusion feature maps were used for subsequent predictions. Finally, experiments were carried out on the large-scale and diversified complex driving scene dataset BDD100K. Experimental results show that using the dilated residual convolution branch module and the feature adaptive fusion algorithm, the mean average precision of the network is increased from 0. 330 to 0. 338 and 0. 344, respectively. And it reaches 0. 349 with the dilated convolution feature adaptive fusion. The algorithm can effectively improve the performance of the object detection algorithm in complex driving scene. Objective: To evaluate the telephone follow-up of surgery patients with lung cancer and to analyze the prognosis factors., Methods: From October 2011 to January 2012, 1635 post-surgery lung cancer patients from January 2002 to August 2011 were followed up by telephone interview. The data from follow-up and clinical characteristics were collected and analyzed. Among these patients, 116 patients with complete and reliable clinical data were further analyzed to determine the effective factors of lung cancer metastasis and long-term survival., Results: The average response rate in the follow-up was 36.1%, and the response rate was related to the interval time after the operations. The shorter the interval, the higher the response rate. The response rate in female patients was higher than that in male patients (P<0.001).The response rate was higher in patients younger than 40 (56 %) than that in the patients aged between 50-59 and over 60 (39% and 24% respectively, P<0.001). There was no statistical difference between patients from urban and rural areas (P=0.844). In the 116 patients with complete and reliable clinical data, statistical analysis confirmed that the metastasis and high lymph node staging were factors to increase patients' risk of death (with odd ratio 0.212 and 1.818 respectively, P<0.001). The adenocarcinoma grade, high lymph node staging and advanced age were related to the metastasis risk (odds ratio 2.353, 2.181 and 2.908, respectively)., Conclusion: Time, gender and age are the influencing factors in the telephone follow-up. Metastasis, lymph node metastasis, pathologic type and age are related to the lung cancer prognosis in the small-scale sample.

Objective: Transurethral electrovaporization of the prostate (TVP) for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) has proven to be efficacious with lower morbidity than transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) on clinical studies. However, no histopathologic data are available to support the clinical findings in human studies. The following study was done using a canine model in an effort to evaluate these histopathologic changes., Methods: Nine canines received antegrade electrovaporization or resection of the prostate, via an open cystoma, using Storz series resectoscope and video equipment. The dogs were sacrificed and their prostates harvested at 0 week (immediately after operation), 1 week or 5 weeks after electrovaporization or resection. The prostates were evaluated grossly as well as histologically for cavitary defects and depth of necrosis., Results: Prostate examination revealed superficial necrosis (less than 1.8 mm deep) at 0 week following the 270 watts operation, and less than 3 mm deep necrosis with acute inflammation and focal hemorrhage at 1 week. The depths of necrosis were less than 1.3 mm and 2.2 mm at 0 week and 1 week after the 180 W electrovaporizion. And the 120 W resection resulted in necrosis 1.1 mm and 1.6 mm deep at most, which was localized in the vaporized prostate only, with no histopathologic change in the surrounding tissues. Epithelial stratification was underway by the fifth week, but with inflammation., Conclusion: TVP in the canine model showed only shallow necrosis at the site of the vaporization. These data provide a histopathologic rationale for the minimal morbidity and efficacious nature of this technique demonstrated in clinical studies.
