Due to the small difference between the focus area of pulmonary tuberculosis and the normal lung area, it is difficult to accurately detect the pulmonary tuberculosis disease. To solve this problems, a tuberculosis disease detection algorithm based on the combination of deep separable convolution and graph convolution is proposed. Firstly, the depth separable convolution module is used to extract the local features of the image. Secondly, the graph convolution module is used to obtain the global features of the image. Then, using a shortcut branching operation, the extracted local and global features are fused. Finally, the fused features are output through the linear layer to output the detection results. The algorithm model has been fully experimented and verified on the publicly available positive chest X-Ray dataset collected by the Third Hospital of Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, China. Experimental results show that compared with the benchmark model, the proposed algorithm model improves by 2.98, 3.23, 2.94 and 3.08 percentage points on the four evaluation indicators of Accuracy, Precision, Recall and F1-Score, respectively, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method. To resolve the problems of position and angle change causing miss and false detection, low accuracy of difficult samples in X-ray luggage images, using YOLOv5 as the baseline, this paper proposes a model by inverted bottleneck and light convolution block attention module for the X-ray prohibited items detection. The inverted bottleneck design is introduced in the backbone to emphasize the detailed features and improve the model to cope with the large-angle change problem. The light convolution block attention module is used to suppress background interference and reduce model parameter. The Gaussian error linear unit activation function and improved loss function are used to enhance the nonlinear expression ability, increasing the punishment of predicted value to optimize the model's detection ability for difficult samples. The proposed model is trained and tested on three large public datasets OPIXray, SIXray, and HiXray, resulting in the mAP of 91.9%, 93.4%, and 82.2%, respectively. BACKGROUND: The risk factors for patellofemoral pain syndrome are still unclear and research on risk factors is gradually becoming a hot topic in order to improve the therapeutic outcome of this disease. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between lower limb alignment and patellofemoral pain syndrome in young male runners. METHODS: In the same running population, 21 patients with bilateral knee pain, 29 patients with single knee pain and 20 normal runners were collected from January 2021 to July 2022. Full-length X-ray examination of both lower limbs in standing position was performed in all subjects. The lateral distal femoral angle, medial tibial proximal angle, joint line congruence angle, hip-knee-ankle angle, and knee physical valgus angle were measured and statistically analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: There was no significant difference in the parameters between the left and right knees in each group (P > 0.05). Compared with the normal group, no significant changes in lateral distal femoral angle, medial tibial proximal angle, joint line congruence angle, and hip-knee-ankle angle were observed in the single knee pain group and double knee pain group, while the knee physical valgus angle was significantly increased in these two groups (P < 0.05). The bismuth oxide/polyacrylonitrile (Bi2O3/PAN) composite nanofiber film was prepared by electrospinning technology to explore the preparation process of the film and its X-ray protection performance. During the preparation process, we took polyethylene glycol (PEG) as dispersant and PAN as polymer, then dispersed Bi2O3 into the polymer solution. The effect of Bi2O3 content on the morphology, mechanical properties and X-ray protection of the film were investigated. The results indicate that the nanofiber film with light weight (0.21 g/cm³ density), uniform particle dispersion and good fiber morphology can be obtained by electrostatic spinning and drying at 60 °C for 2 h, at the mass percentage of Bi2O3 and PAN of 160%. The nanofiber film has good X-ray protection effect, with X-ray attenuation efficiency above 50% during the tube voltage rising from 20 kV to 120 kV, and the mass attenuation coefficient reaching 62.16 cm²/g under the voltage of 20 kV. Objective: To study and explore the clinical efficacy of improved Masquelet technique in the treatment of tibia infectious defect. A retrospective analysis was made of 21 patients with tibia infectious defect treated with improved Masquelet technique in the in our hospital from 2018.01 to 2022.01. To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Masquelet in the treatment of tibia infectious defect in the aspects of bone healing, soft tissue healing, infection control, limb function and complications. Results: A total of 21 patients were followed up for 12-36 months (mean 18.6 months) and they all achieved bone healing (3.2 +8.3 months). Bone healing was evaluated by Samantha X-ray score: 4 in 1 cases, 5 in 8 cases and 6 in 12 cases. According to PALEY score, the healing of bone defect and the functional classification of affected limb were excellent in 9 cases, good in 11 cases, fair in 1 cases and poor in 0 cases, and the excellent and good rate was 95.2% . There was no serious complication in all patients. Conclusion: The application of improved Masquelet technique in the treatment of tibia infectious defect is a simple, safe and effective method, which could be further promoted in clinic. BACKGROUND: Intramedullary nail is a classical scheme for the treatment of femoral shaft fracture. Its distal aiming frame is widely used in the placement of distal locking nail, which improves the accuracy of distal locking nail placement, but its failure rate cannot be ignored. It is urgent to develop a new technology that can actualize the rapid and accurate locking of distal locking nail and reduce the X-ray radiation damage of bare-handed locking nail. OBJECTIVE: To compare the effect of place-occupying compression rod technique and bare-hand locking nail technique in distal locking nail placement of femoral intramedullary nail. METHODS: The eight model bones with the deviation of the compression rod that could not be accurately placed into the distal locking nail were divided into two groups. The place-occupying compression rod group (n=4) adopted the place-occupying compression rod technology. After drilling the hole adjacent to the original pressure rod hole, the accurate pressing rod was carried out, and then the distal locking nail placement carried on. In the bare-hand locking nail group (n=4), the technique of bare-hand nail under the supervision of C-arm was used to complete the placement of locking nail in the distal locking hole. The X-ray exposure times, nail locking time and nail placement accuracy were compared between the two groups. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The number of X-ray exposure in the place-occupying compression rod group was significantly less than that in the bare-hand locking nail group (P < 0.05). The time of locking nail in the place-occupying compression rod group was significantly shorter than that in the bare-hand locking nail group (P < 0.05). The accuracy of nail placement in both groups was 100%. (2) The results showed that the technique of place-occupying compression rod and the technique of bare-hand locking nail could complete the placement of distal locking nail accurately, and the technique of place-occupying compression rod has the advantages of shorter operation time and less X-ray radiation compared with the technique of bare-hand locking nail. Background and objective Radiotherapy is one of the most common treatments for lung cancer, and about 40%-50% of patients after radiotherapy will appear uncontrolled or recurrence in the case of local tumors. Radioresistance is the predominant cause of local therapeutic failure. Nevertheless, the lack of in vitro radioresistance models is an influential factor obstructing the study of its mechanism. Therefore, the establishment of radioresistant cell lines, H1975DR and H1299DR, was beneficial to explore the mechanism of radioresistance in lung adenocarcinoma. Methods The radioresistant cell lines of H1975DR and H1299DR were obtained from H1975 and H1299 cells irradiated with equal doses of X-rays; Clo-nogenic assays were performed to compare the clone-forming ability of H1975 vs H1975DR cells, H1299 vs H1299DR cells, then fitting cell survival curve by linear quadratic model; The comet assay was employed to examine DNA damage repair and calculate the percentage of DNA tails; The optical microscopy, CCK-8, flow cytometry, Transwell invasion assays were used to compare biological characteristics such as cell morphology, cell proliferation, apoptosis level, cycle distribution, cell migration and invasion; Western blot was carried out to measure the protein expression of DNA damage repair factors, such as DNA-PKcs, 53BP1, RAD51, and p-ATM. Results After five months of continuous irradiation and stable culture, radioresistant cell lines H1975DR and H1299DR were obtained. The cell proliferation activity, clone formation ability and DNA damage repair ability of the two radioresistant cell lines were significantly improved under X-ray irradiation. The proportion of the G2/M phase was markedly decreased and the proportion of the G0/Gj phase was increased. Cell migration and invasion ability were significantly enhanced. Relative expression levels of p-DNA-PKcs (Ser2056), 53BP1 in the nonhomologous end-joining (NHEJ) repair pathway and p-ATM (Ser1981), RAD51 in the homologous recombination (HR) repair pathway were higher than those in H1975 and H1299. Conclusion H1975 and H1299 cell lines can be able to differentiate into lung adenocarcinoma radioresistant cell lines H1975DR and H1299DR by equal dose fractional irradiation, which provided an in vitro cyto-logical model for the study of radiotherapy resistance mechanism of lung cancer patients. This study focused on the radioprotective effects of Lanzhou lily polysaccharide fragment (LLP) on murine bone marrow nucleated cells (BMNCs) subjected to X-ray-induced injury. The lily polysaccharide extract was prepared using the ultrasonic auxiliary hot water method, followed by purification using ultrafiltration and Sephadex G-150 chromatography. The average molecular weight of the extract was 8 629.8 Da. Unlike the control and simple irradiation groups, the murine model of acute radioactive injury model was treated with different amounts of LLPs. Each group was evaluated for the number of BMNCs, micronucleus ratio, DNA injury, and cyclical changes. Restricted by test conditions, performing spacecraft anti-multi-source X-ray ground simulation test is generally difficult. A single source X-ray numerical simulation equivalent test method is proposed. To overcome the “excessive greedy” phenomenon of the expected improvement(EI)method in the equivalent test points searching, a hierarchical EI equivalent test model is established. On this basis, by introducing quadratic terms into the improvement function, the model’s global searching ability is further improved. The anti-X-ray radiation numerical simulation test of CFRP material is subject to the object, and the hierarchical EI equivalent test model is used for equivalent test input value search. 25. 4 mm diameter crystals of CeB- and three analogues doped with 0.1%, 0. 2% and 0. 5% of Sr2 + in molar ratio were grown by the vertical Bridgman method. The grown crystals were processed into 25. 4 mm diameter wafer with a thickness of 10 mm and characterized by fluorescence spectra excited by UV light and X-ray as well as multi-channel analysis with 137 Cs source. Results show that the emission bands of the crystals under X-ray excitation are slightly red-shifted by Sr2 + doping, and with the increase of Sr2 + doping content, the energy resolution of the crystals are successively improved, while the light yield are gradually reduced. The CeB- crystal doped with 0. 5% Sr2 + exhibits the best energy resolution of 3. 83% @ 662 keV. However, high Sr2 + doping also causes difficulty in crystal growth. A doping content of 0. 2% is considered appropriate with regards to both scintillation property and crystal growth availability. Objective To analyze the diagnostic efficacy of orthostatic X-ray radiography in lumbar spondylolisthesis. Methods Sixty patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis diagnosed by Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University from January to October 2020 were included. The orthostatic X-ray and supine CT sagittal reconstruction imaging data were collected, and the Marique. Taillard method was used to measure the relative spondylolisthesis distance (dd') and the length of the upper edge of the inferior vertebral body (cd) on the X - ray and CT image post - processing workstation. Finally, the degree of spondylolisthesis and the detection rate of lumbar spondylolisthesis based on the subjective readings of doctors in different body positions were calculated. Results Compared with the supine CT sagittal reconstruction parameters, the dd' value (Z = 5.918, P = 0.000), cd value (Z = 4.082, P = 0.000) and spondylolisthesis (Z = 6.064, P = 0.000) were significantly improved. The positive rate of lumbar spondylolisthesis was 95% (57/60), which was higher than 81.67% (49/60, P = 0.039) of the supine CT sagittal reconstruction. Conclusions Orthostatic X-ray radiography can increase the lumbar vertebra stress of patients, which is beneficial to reflect the degree of spondylolisthesis of vertebra under daily stress conditions and improve the positive rate of lumbar spondylolisthesis. If combined with supine CT sagittal reconstruction, it can be used for clinical diagnosis and provide more detailed imaging data to assist in formulating targeted surgical treatment plans. Objective To explore the correlation between the severity of emphysema and osteoporosis in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods The chest CT and lumbar vertebral dual X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) examinations were retrospectively analyzed in 120 patients with COPD and 60 healthy control subjects. Severity of emphysema was categorized according to the percentage of low attenuation area (LAA%) as mild, moderate, or severe. The bone mineral density (BMD) T values of lumbar vertebrae were compared between COPD and control, and among the 3 severity groups of emphysema. The correlation between LAA% and T values was evaluated. The LAA% cut-off value in COPD patients for developing osteoporosis was determined using the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results The T values decreased significantly in mild (T=0.081依0.74, LAA%=6.83依 1.37), moderate (-1.584依1.08, 15.77依2.81), and severe (-2.77依1.11, 29.26依6.05) emphysema. The LAA% was significantly negatively correlated with BMD T values (R=-0.806, P<0.05). Using the LAA% cutoff value of 19.7%, the area under the ROC curve for predicting osteoporosis was 0.950 (P<0.05) with sensitivity of 94.7% and specificity of 86.6%. Conclusion There is positive correlation between severity of emphysema and osteoporosis with cutoff value of >19.7%LAA%for developing osteoporosis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The dislocation etch pit density (EPD) of the 2-inch diameter n-type (100) Te-GaSb single crystal grown in batches by the liquid encapsulated Czochralski (LEC) method is usually lower than 300 cm-2, reaching dislocation-free level. In this paper, the lattice perfection and subsurface damage of this GaSb single crystal polished substrate were characterized by X-ray rocking curve and reciprocal space map (RSM). The results show that after chemical mechanical polishing with optimized process conditions, the surface of GaSb single crystal substrate is atomically smooth, and there is no subsurface damaged layer. High-quality type-II superlattice epitaxial materials can be stably grown on this substrate by molecular beam epitaxy and exhibit excellent infrared detection performance. On this basis, the internal relationship between the physical properties, growth preparation and substrate processing conditions of GaSb substrate materials was comprehensively analyzed. BACKGROUND: Percutaneous vertebroplasty is one of the effective treatments for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. The distribution of bone cement in the vertebral body will influence the clinical efficacy. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the influence of the distribution of bone cement in percutaneous vertebroplasty on the early postoperative outcomes after osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. METHODS: A total of 132 patients, including 52 males and 80 females, with a mean age of (76.3±8.2) years who diagnosed as osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures in First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January 2017 to June 2019 were enrolled. All patients were divided into underdispersion group (n=54) and diffuse distribution group (n=78) according to the pattern of cement distribution on postoperative X-rays. Visual analogue scale scores postoperatively, the height of anterior edge and midline of injured vertebrae, Cobb angle of local kyphosis and the incidence of complications after 1-year follow-up were compared between the two groups. The trial was performed in accordance with the relevant ethical requirements for research in the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The visual analogue scale scores were lower at 2 days, 1 and 6 months after operation than those before operation in the two groups (P < 0.05). The visual analogue scale scores at 1 month after operation in the underdispersion group were higher than those in the diffuse distribution group (P < 0.05), and there was no significant difference between the two groups at 2 days and 6 months after operation (P > 0.05). (2) Cobb angle and vertebral body height improved in both groups postoperatively compared to preoperatively (P < 0.05). The difference in Cobb angle and vertebral body height was not statistically significant between the two groups (P > 0.05). (3) The rate of bone cement infiltration was not significantly different between the two groups (P > 0.05). Incidence of recurrent fractures in adjacent vertebrae was lower in the diffuse distribution group than that in the underdispersion group (P < 0.05). (4) These findings confirm that percutaneous vertebroplasty is an effective treatment for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. The distribution of bone cement in the vertebral body will affect the surgical results. Objective: To explore the effectiveness of irreducible intertrochanteric femoral fracture in the elderly by treating with folding top technique and right-angle pliers prying and pulling under G-arm X-ray fluoroscopy., Methods: The clinical data of 74 elderly patients with irreducible intertrochanteric femoral fracture admitted between February 2016 and December 2022 and met the selection criteria were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 38 cases were treated with folding top technique combined with right-angle pliers prying and pulling under G-arm X-ray fluoroscopy and intramedullary nailing fixation (study group), and 36 cases were treated with limited open reduction combined with other reduction methods and intramedullary nailing fixation (control group). There was no significant difference in baseline data between the two groups, such as age, gender, cause of injury, affected side and classification of fractures, complicated medical diseases, and time from injury to operation ( P >0.05). The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, hospital stay, fracture reduction time, fracture healing time, and complications of the two groups were recorded and compared. The quality of fracture reduction was evaluated by Baumgaertner et al. and Chang et al. fracture reduction standards., Results: Patients in both groups were followed up 10-14 months, with an average of 12 months. The operation time and intraoperative blood loss in the study group were significantly less than those in the control group ( P <0.05), there was no significant difference in hospital stay between the two groups ( P >0.05). At 2 days after operation, according to the fracture reduction standards of Baumgaertner et al. and CHANG Shimin et al. , the quality of fracture reduction in the study group was better than that in the control group, and the fracture reduction time in the study group was shorter than that in the control group, with significant differences ( P <0.05). After operation, the fractures of the two groups all healed, and there was no significant difference in healing time between the two groups ( P >0.05). During the follow-up, there was no complication such as incision infection, internal fixation failure, deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs, intramedullary nail breakage, spiral blade cutting, or hip varus in the two groups, except for 2 cases of coxa vara in the control group., Conclusion: For the irreducible intertrochanteric femoral fracture, using folding top technique combined with right-angle pliers prying and pulling under G-arm X-ray fluoroscopy can obviously shorten the operation time, reduce the intraoperative blood loss, and improve the quality of fracture reduction.

Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of surgical excision combined with low-energy X-ray irradiation in the treatment of ear keloids. Methods: Clinical data of 32 cases of ear keloid lesions that received surgical treatment alone or surgery combined with radiotherapy from March 2019 to November 2022 in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery of the Tianjin First Central Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 10 cases received radiotherapy and 22 cases did not receive radiotherapy. The radiotherapy group received irradiation with a large divided dose of 50 kV low-energy X-rays. The mode of fractionation radiotherapy was as follows: the first was 10 Gy of intraoperative radiation therapy and the second was 8 Gy on the 3rd postoperative day for a total of 18 Gy. The local efficacy and skin radiation reaction were observed at a follow-up of 8-52 months. Results: The median follow-up was 26 months, and as of the date of the last follow-up, 9 cases were cured and 1 case was ineffective in the radiotherapy group, with an effective rate of 90.0%, while 9 cases were cured and 13 cases were ineffective in the no-radiotherapy group, with an effective rate of 40.9%. The recurrence of ear keloids was not related to the side, site, or etiology of the patient's onset（ P >0.05）. Recurrence was related to whether or not the patients received radiotherapy（ χ ²=4.885, P <0.05）, and the recurrence rate in the radiotherapy group（10.0%） was significantly lower than that in the non-radiotherapy group（59.1%）. The clinical effect of ultrasound guided standard channel percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) in the treatment of staghorn calculi were discussed m this study. A retrospective analysis of 200 patients with staghorn calculi who were treated with PCNL under the standard channel, 100 patients underwent ultrasound-guided PCNL surgery (uitrasound group) and the other 100 patients PCNL surgery was performed after X-ray position (X-ray group). The number of punctures n the uitrasound group, the establishment time of skin and kidney channels, the length of hospitalization, and the proportion of patients treated with extracorporeal lithotripsy were lower than those in the X-ray group (P$0. 05). The primary stone Clarence rate of the uitrasound group was higher than that of the X-ray group (P$0. 05). Twenty-four hours after surgery, the uitrasound group Cor kvel was lower than the X-ray group (P$0. 05). Objective To establish a mathematical model of stature estimation for Sichuan Han females on the basis of the relationship between lower limbs and individual height, thus to provide evidence for forensic identification. Methods Samples were collected from 171 Sichuan Han females. Large flat panel multi-function digital photography system was used to take the full-body X-ray films of the lower limbs. Indexes of long bones and stature of the subjects were measured, respectively. A linear regression analysis was carried out on the correlation between them, and a mathematical model of the stature calculation was established. Then the mathematical model was used to calculate the stature of another 29 Sichuan Han females to test its accuracy. Objective To investigate the effects of high-energy X-rays irradiation at different dose rates on the plating efficiency, survival fraction and radiobiological parameters of cervical cancer HeLa cell line. Methods Human cervical cancer Hela cell line in exponential growth phase were treated with 0, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8Gy at 2, 6, 10Gy/min dose rates. After irradiation for 12 days in the incubator, 0.5% crystal violet staining was fixed, and the number of clones larger than 50 cells was counted. The data was analyzed and dose-survival curves were plotted following the standard linear-quadratic model using GraphPad Prism 5.0 software to get the values of radiobiological parameters. Differences of survival fraction with different dose rates were tested with analysis of variance by SPSS19.0 software. Results After 2, 6, 10 Gy/min of high-energy X-rays irradiation, the differences between the plating efficiency and survival fraction of HeLa cells were statistically significant (P=0.03 and 0.04). The average α/β values were 3.28Gy, 3.35Gy, 3.93Gy, SF2 were 0.79, 0.78, 0.75. Three dose rates showed no statistically significant difference in the biological parameters, α/β, D0, Dq or SF2 (P > 0.05). Conclusion With the increasing dose rate of high-energy X-rays (2, 6, 10Gy/min), the survival rate of HeLa cells gradually decreases while the biological effect gradually increases.

Adrenal vein sampling is required for the staging diagnosis of primary aldosteronism, and the frames in which the adrenal veins are presented are called key frames. Currently, the selection of key frames relies on the doctor's visual judgement which is time-consuming and laborious. This study proposes a key frame recognition algorithm based on deep learning. Firstly, wavelet denoising and multi-scale vessel-enhanced filtering are used to preserve the morphological features of the adrenal veins. Furthermore, by incorporating the self-attention mechanism, an improved recognition model called ResNet50-SA is obtained. Compared with commonly used transfer learning, the new model achieves 97.11% in accuracy, precision, recall, F 1 , and AUC, which is superior to other models and can help clinicians quickly identify key frames in adrenal veins.

Objective: A deep learning-based method for evaluating the quality of pediatric pelvic X-ray images is proposed to construct a diagnostic model and verify its clinical feasibility., Methods: Three thousand two hundred and forty-seven children with anteroposteric pelvic radiographs are retrospectively collected and randomly divided into training datasets, validation datasets and test datasets. Artificial intelligence model is conducted to evaluate the reliability of quality control model., Results: The diagnostic accuracy, area under ROC curve, sensitivity and specificity of the model are 99.4%, 0.993, 98.6% and 100.0%, respectively. The 95% consistency limit of the pelvic tilt index of the model is -0.052-0.072. The 95% consistency threshold of pelvic rotation index is -0.088-0.055., Conclusion: This is the first attempt to apply AI algorithm to the quality assessment of children's pelvic radiographs, and has significantly improved the diagnosis and treatment status of DDH in children.

Objective: To compare the clinical value of low dose and conventional dose scanning in CT guided percutaneous lung biopsy. Methods: 96 patients with CT guided percutaneous lung biopsy in our hospital were selected from January 2018 to December 2019, and they were divided into low dose group and conventional dose group by using random digital table method. 48 patients in each group. The two groups were CT guided percutaneous lung biopsy under low dose scanning and conventional dose scanning respectively. The scanning range, X-ray dose, image quality, puncture success rate and complications were compared between the two groups. Results: The CT absorbed dose weighted index (CTDIW) and the product of average dose length (DLP) in the low dose group were significantly lower than those in the conventional dose group (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in the scanning range between the two groups (P>0.05). In the low dose group, the image quality was grade 1 in 1 case, grade 2 in 1 case and grade 3 in 46 cases, in the routine dose group: Grade 1 in 0 cases, grade 2 in 1 case, grade 3 in 47 cases, there was no significant difference in image quality between the two groups (P>0.05). The success rate of low dose group was 87.50%, while that of conventional dose group was 89.58%. There was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). The incidence of complications was 12.50% in the low-dose group and 10.42% in the conventional dose group. There was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Compared with conventional dose scanning, low dose scanning in CT guided percutaneous lung biopsy can effectively reduce the radiation dose, but it does not affect the image quality and the success rate of puncture, and the incidence of complications has not increased. ACKGROUND: The single volar locking plate internal fixation is often used for type C distal radius fractures. However, some patients still fail to achieve good fracture reduction, and the grip strength of the affected limb is significantly weakened. How to restore the length of the radius and maintain the reduction and internal fixation during the operation is challenging. OBJECTIVE: To compare the clinical efficacy of external fixator-assisted reduction and locking plate internal fixation and simple locking plate internal fixation in the treatment of type C distal radius fractures. METHODS: A retrospective analysis was conducted in 93 patients with type C distal radius fractures who underwent surgical treatment from March 2017 to August 2019. There were 49 cases in the external fixator-assisted group, with an average follow-up period of (14.95±5.64) months (range, 6-30 months); there were 44 cases in the simple plate group, with an average follow-up period of (15.38±6.27) months (range, 6 to 24 months). The preoperative general information, surgical related indicators, postoperative follow-up X-ray measurements and wrist function were compared and analyzed between the two groups. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The operation time, incision length, and number of X-ray exposures in the external fixator-assisted group were less than those in the simple plate group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). (2) During the postoperative follow-up, the degree of radial height recovery in the external fixator-assisted group was better than that of the simple plate group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). There was no statistical difference in the recovery of palm tilt and ulnar deviation between the two groups (P > 0.05). (3) On the second day after operation, the visual analogue scale score of the external fixator-assisted group was higher than that of the simple plate group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). (4) At 1-year follow-up, the degree of grip strength recovery in the external fixator-assisted group was better than that in the simple plate group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). (5) The results show that both methods can effectively reduce and fix type C distal radius fractures, and restore wrist function. The external fixator-assisted group has advantages such as shorter operation time, less trauma, less X-ray radiation, and better grip strength in comparison to the simple plate group. BACKGROUND: The details of clinical symptoms of osteoporotic vertebral fracture with intravertebral clefts are poorly understood at present. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between clinical symptoms and imaging features of osteoporotic vertebral fracture with intravertebral clefts. METHODS: Clinical data of 168 patients with single-level osteoporotic vertebral fracture with intravertebral clefts were retrospectively analyzed. The clinical symptoms were evaluated by Visual Analogue Scale score and Oswestry Disability Index. The incidence of delayed neurologic deficit was recorded. X-ray was used to measure the local kyphosis angle and vertebral instability, and CT was used to diagnose the posterior wall fracture of the vertebral body. The relationship between clinical symptoms and imaging features of osteoporotic vertebral fracture with intravertebral clefts was analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The Visual Analogue Scale score and Oswestry Disability Index were 7.7±1.6 and (62.9±19.2)%, respectively. Delayed neurologic deficit occurred in 37 patients (22.0%). Local kyphosis angle and vertebral instability was (16.8±7.7)° and (7.9±4.4)°, respectively. The incidence of posterior wall fracture was 89.8%. (2) The Visual Analogue Scale and Oswestry Disability Index were significantly correlated with vertebral instability (r=0.33, P < 0.001; r=0.53, P < 0.001), but had weak correlation with local kyphosis angle (r=-0.16, P=0.03; r=-0.16, P=0.03). (3) The incidence of vertebral instability in patients with delayed neurologic deficit was significantly higher than that in patients without delayed neurologic deficit (P < 0.001), but there was no difference in local kyphosis angle between two groups (P=0.18). All patients with delayed neurologic deficit had posterior wall fracture, but only 2/3 patients with posterior wall fracture had delayed neurologic deficit. (4) In summary, vertebral instability is one of the factors leading to clinical symptoms of osteoporotic vertebral fracture patients with intravertebral clefts. The vertebral instability may be the main cause of delayed neurologic deficit. In order to treat back pain and delayed neurologic deficit effectively, it is important to control vertebral instability of osteoporotic vertebral fracture patients with intravertebral clefts. Objective: To explore the correlation between the prognosis of radiofrequency ablation (RFCA) and the origins in patients with premature ventricular contractions (PVCs). Methods: Clinical data of PVCs patients admitted to the department of cardiovascular medicine of Changhai hospital, the first affiliated hospital of the second military medical university, and treated with RFCA from December 2016 to December 2017 were retrospectively analyzed, and were divided into right ventricle group (n=58) and left ventricle group (n=24) according to the origins. The operation time of RFCA, X-ray exposure time, operation success rate and other indicators of the two groups were recorded. The patients were followed up for 6 months after the operation. The improvement of cardiac function indicators in the two groups after the operation was compared, and the total number of 24 h PVCs and the recurrence were recorded. Results: Compared with the left ventricle group, the operation time and X-ray exposure time in the right ventricle group were significantly prolonged, and the success rate of surgery was significantly decreased (P<0.05). At 6 months after surgery, the number of 24 h PVCs in both groups was significantly lower than that before surgery, and the decline was more significant in the right ventricle group (P<0.05). Three months after surgery, LVESD and LVEDD were significantly decreased and LVEF was significantly increased in the right ventricle group (P<0.05). At 6 months after surgery, all cardiac function indicators in the two groups were significantly improved compared with those before surgery, and the right ventricle group was further improved compared with that at 3 months after surgery, and was significantly better than that in the left ventricle group (P<0.05). Conclusions: The prognosis of PVCs has a certain correlation with the site of origin. The success rate of right ventricular origin PVCs is higher than that of left ventricular origin, which is more conducive to improving cardiac structural remodeling and function. In order to improve the efficiency of the jet during the whole penetration process of the armor, a biconical liner with a small conical angle at the top and a large conical angle at the bottom was designed. Based on PER theory, using Curney formula and Chanteret formula to solve the collapsing velocity of liner, a closed theoretical model of jet formation was established. Based on the theoretical model and numerical simulation, the jet shape and formation parameters corresponding to the single conical liner with 40°and 80° and the biconical liner with the top angle 40°and the bottom angle 80° were calculated and analyzed, respectively. The numerical simulation was carried out to study the structural parameters of a biconical liner including the top conical angle, height ratio of top cone, the height and liner thickness of the biconical liner, which influence the tip velocity and inflection velocity. Also the jet formation effect of the biconical liner are obtained by means of the X-ray test. The results show that the jet of single conicale liner and biconical liner are linear and bilinear after the accumulation point of particles in the head. The biconical liner jet integrates the advantages of high head velocity of upper cone and large jet diameter of lower cone. When the upper conical angle increases from 18°to 34°, the head velocity decreases by 10.4%, and the inflection point velocity decreases by 25%. When the ratio of the upper conical height to the liner height increases from 30% to 70%, the head velocity increases by 11.8%, and the inflection point velocity decreases by 19.9%. When the liner height increases from 125mm to 155mm, the head velocity increases by 4.2%, and the inflection point velocity decreases by 11.4%. When the liner thickness increases from 1.8mm to 3.4mm, the head velocity decreases by 8.4%, and the inflection velocity decreases by 18.4%. Precise segmentation of lung field is a crucial step in chest radiographic computer-aided diagnosis system. With the development of deep learning, fully convolutional network based models for lung field segmentation have achieved great effect but are poor at accurate identification of the boundary and preserving lung field consistency. To solve this problem, this paper proposed a lung segmentation algorithm based on non-local attention and multi-task learning. Firstly, an encoder-decoder convolutional network based on residual connection was used to extract multi-scale context and predict the boundary of lung. Secondly, a non-local attention mechanism to capture the long-range dependencies between pixels in the boundary regions and global context was proposed to enrich feature of inconsistent region. Thirdly, a multi-task learning to predict lung field based on the enriched feature was conducted. Finally, experiments to evaluate this algorithm were performed on JSRT and Montgomery dataset. The maximum improvement of Dice coefficient and accuracy were 1.99% and 2.27%, respectively, comparing with other representative algorithms. Results show that by enhancing the attention of boundary, this algorithm can improve the accuracy and reduce false segmentation.

Objective: To explore the feasibility and accuracy of ultrasound volume navigation (UVN) combined with X-ray fluoroscopy-guided percutaneous pedicle screw implantation through a prospective randomized controlled study., Methods: Patients with thoracic and lumbar vertebral fractures scheduled for percutaneous pedicle screw fixation between January 2022 and January 2023 were enrolled. Among them, 60 patients met the selection criteria and were included in the study. There were 28 males and 32 females, with an average age of 49.5 years (range, 29-60 years). The cause of injury included 20 cases of traffic accidents, 21 cases of falls, 17 cases of slips, and 2 cases of heavy object impact. The interval from injury to hospital admission ranged from 1 to 5 days (mean, 1.57 days). The fracture located at T 12 in 15 cases, L 1 in 20 cases, L 2 in 19 cases, and L 3 in 6 cases. The study used each patient as their own control, randomly guiding pedicle screw implantation using UVN combined with X-ray fluoroscopy on one side of the vertebral body and the adjacent segment (trial group), while the other side was implanted under X-ray fluoroscopy (control group). A total of 4 screws and 2 rods were implanted in each patient. The implantation time and fluoroscopy frequency during implantation of each screw, angle deviation and distance deviation between actual and preoperative planned trajectory by imaging examination, and the occurrence of zygapophysial joint invasion were recorded., Results: In terms of screw implantation time, fluoroscopy frequency, angle deviation, distance deviation, and incidence of zygapophysial joint invasion, the trial group showed superior results compared to the control group, and the differences were significant ( P <0.05)., Conclusion: UVN combined with X-ray fluoroscopy-guided percutaneous pedicle screw implantation can yreduce screw implantation time, adjust dynamically, reduce operational difficulty, and reduce radiation damage.

Objective: To investigate the effect of 64-slice spiral CT on Evans classification of intertrochanteric fractures, and to provide reference for clinical use. Methods: From March 2015 to March 2017, 128 patients with unilateral unilateral intertrochanteric fractures were classified by Evans according to preoperative X-ray, preoperative 64-slice spiral CT plain scan and three-dimensional reconstruction, and were classified into X-ray and CT types. According to the perioperative X-ray, CT and intraoperative findings of the fracture, Evans classification(inverse intertrochanteric fracture defined as type V) as the final classification. The typing results were recorded, and the accuracy and misdiagnosis rate were calculated and compared. Results: 5 patients were excluded and 90.09%(123/128)completed the study. Typing results: 3 cases(2 cases of final type III, 1 case of type IV) could not be typed; 1 case of correct type I was changed to type II 1 case; 18 cases of correct type II were changed to type I 2 cases, changed to type III 3 cases, changed to type IV 2 cases; 45 cases of correct type III, changed to type II 7 cases, changed to type IV 1 case; 19 cases of correct type IV, changed to type II 3 cases. 15 cases were changed to type III. Among the CT typing, 3 were correct in type I, 29 in type II, 64 in type III, 1 in type IV, 22 in type IV, and 3 in type V. The total accuracy and misdiagnosis rate of CT typing were better than that of X-ray typing(99.19% vs 67.48%,0.81% vs 30.08%, P<0.05). For type I, type II, type III and type IV fractures, the accuracy of CT classification was higher than that of X-ray classification(P<0.05), and the misdiagnosis rate was lower than that of X-ray classification(P<0.05); for type V fractures, the accuracy and misdiagnosis rate of the two types were equal. Conclusion: 64-slice spiral CT plain scan and three-dimensional reconstruction are reliable auxiliary examinations for Evans classification of intertrochanteric fractures, and can be considered for popularization and application.
