Objective To explore the expression, correlation with clinicopathologic parameters, and clinical significance of MIS18 binding protein 1 (MIS18BP1) in bladder cancer. Methods TCGA and GEO databases were used to analyze the mRNA expression of MIS18BP1 in tumors and controls, and the results were verified via qRT-PCR. UALCAN online database was utilized in the analysis of the expression of MIS18BP1 and its correlation with clinicopathological parameters and the degree of immune cell infiltration. Immunohistochemistry was employed to analyze the expression of MIS18BP1 in bladder cancer and its relationship with clinicopathological features. The ROC curve was applied to evaluate the diagnostic value of MIS18BP1 mRNA in bladder cancer. Objective: To improve the detection efficiency of the aerobic plate counter, to meet the requirements of quality management system of the inspection and testing institutions and the application of laboratory LIMS system. Methods: It was used to continuously collected of colonies image through the GigE industrial camera, variable lens and multiple light sources combined lighting system, at the same time the Unet++ segmentation model was used for image recognition processing and colony counting. Results: The colony counter had the characteristics of high collection efficiency, it only took 38 s to complete the image acquisition of one plate. It only took 3~5 s to complete the whole process of image transmission and colony identification and counting of one plate, and it had fast data processing speed and good transmission performance. Compared with the counting method required by the current standard, the error rate of the counting result was less than 8%, and it had high accuracy of counting results and good repeatability. At the same time, it realized the automatic processing of the original data of the aerobic plate count detection. Conclusion: The equipment can not only carry out high-throughput image acquisition, automatic image processing and colony counting, but also can realize the fusion with the laboratory LIMS system, effectively improve the work efficiency. Meanwhile, it can ensure the data traceability, reduce the work intensity of the test personnel, meet the error requirements of the aerobic plate count method.

For a long time, China has been committed to combating illegal logging and trade in forests. Although there are still practical difficulties in the governance of illegal timber trade at home and abroad, it is undeniable that significant progress has been made in curbing illegal logging in domestic forests in recent years. Based on 50,094 criminal first-instance verdicts related to illegal logging crimes in China between 2014 and 2020, we have used a spatial autocorrelation analysis and the Geographical Weighted Regression model to explore the spatial distribution characteristics and driving factors of illegal logging in China. The results show that: (1) There is a high rate of illegal logging to the southeast of the Huhuanyong line in China. It is concentrated mainly in areas with strong forest-resource endowment, relatively low economic development level, low urbanization, a large agricultural population, and low degree of nationalization of forest farms, such as the southeast edge of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau,the Wushan-Xuefeng Mountains, the Nanling-Wuyi Mountains, Dabie Mountain, and Changbai Mountain. In north and northwest China and the economically developed coastal regions, there is little or no evidence of this development trend. (2) Affected by natural, social and economic conditions, there are obvious regional differences in illegal logging characteristics in the above high incidence areas. (3) The spatial autocorrelation of illegal logging in China is strong. The southwest region is the main high-high agglomeration region; the northwest and north China are low-low agglomeration regions; the northeast region and the cities along the Yangtze River are not significant, and the high-high agglomeration trend of the volume of harvested live trees in the southeast region is significant. 4) The spatial distribution pattern and characteristics of illegal logging are formed by multiple driving forces, and different driving factors have different spatial mechanisms. Natural endowment is the necessary and insufficient condition for illegal logging.With the improvement of urbanization and socio-economic development, the occurrence of illegal logging can be effectively suppressed.In conclusion, this study aims to enrich the Environmental Criminology literature, actively exploring criminal geography in relation to environmental crime in China. It also proposes corresponding policy suggestions for the governance and combating of illegal logging. This study has some limitations related to data acquisition and processing; these areas should be strengthened in future research.

Underground mining induces the movement, deformation and failure of bedding rock slope in mountainous areas, which develops into geological disasters such as landslides and collapses. In this paper, based on UDEC discrete element method, this paper studies the influence of repeated mining of underground coal seam on the location of bedding rock slope. The results showed that: the subsidence affected by mining decreases with the decrease of buried depth, and the deformation of strata after mining is discontinuous. Compared with single-layer mining, repeated mining will lead to a significant increase in the horizontal deformation of slope. Repeated mining leads to the development of new fractures and fracture groups in the slope, which is more likely to lead to the destruction of the weak structural layer and further reduce the stability of the slope. The dynamic development process of “deformation accumulation-generation-expansion-closure” during single-layer mining will evolve into a dynamic development process of “deformation accumulation-development and expansion-development and stability” during repeated mining.

In order to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of measurement, and reduce the dependence of the soft sensing on dataset, a soft-sensing method of compressor power based on interpretable neural network is proposed. When training on a dataset with good generalization in the experiment, the root mean squared error(RMSE) of the interpretable neural network model on the test set is 0.0094, which is 1.1% lower than that of the back propagation(BP) neural network model. When training on a dataset with poor generalization, the RMSE of the interpretable neural network model on the test set is 0.0128, which is 79.8% lower than that of the BP neural network model. The experimental results show that the soft-sensing method based on interpretable neural network not only has a high accuracy rate, but also can maintain a good measurement performance when training on a dataset with poor generalization.

An analysis was conducted on the reasons for the increase in catalyst dust in the 600,000 TPY CCR of PetroChina Changqing Petrochemical Company. It was found that poor mechanical strength of the catalyst, non-standard catalyst loading and equipment installation, and fluctuations in the operation of the catalyst regeneration unit were the main reasons for the increase in dust in the unit. The following measures should be taken; In the early stage of device operation, catalyst selection work and standardization of catalyst loading and unloading operations should be done well, and internal inspections of equipment pipelines should be strengthened. During the operation of the device, it should be ensured that the catalyst is steadily elevated; Replace the regeneration gas dryer and monitor the water content of the regeneration gas; Adjust the air volume for elution, strengthen the inspection of dust collectors, and ensure the effectiveness of elution; Optimize the regeneration of coke and adjust the temperature of the regeneration bed layer coke to not exceed 565 °C. By implementing the above measures, there was no significant increase in catalyst dust in the reaction and regeneration system of the CCR. The daily catalyst dust amount decreased from the highest value of 2. 1 kg/d to 1. 0 ~ 1.3 kg/d, effectively solving the problem of increased dust in CCR and ensuring long-term safe and stable operation of the unit. A new type of hybrid transmission device for plug-in hybrid electric vehicle（ PHEV） is present with planet gearbox. The parameters of the planet gearbox are obtained by using optimization method. In order to assess the economic efficiency and dynamic performance,the simulation model of the PHEV is set up based on the ADVISOR software,the vehicle parameters of a domestic SUV are used. The PHEV are simulated in NEDC cycle for charge depleting mode and charge sustaining mode,the results show that the presented new PHEV system can satisfy the requirement of new standard GB/T 32694—2016. The new system use only one motor and the hybrid device are compact,so that it expend low price and take small space in application.

Aiming at the problem of the recovery sequencing and scheduling of the carrier aircraft fleet landing, the carrier deck environment and the return recovery approach mode of the carrier aircraft are analyzed firstly, and the evaluation index model of the recovery sequencing and scheduling based on the weighted waiting time is established. According to the various constraints in the recovery sequencing and scheduling problem of the carrier aircraft, the model of the recovery sequencing and scheduling problem of the carrier aircraft considering the air refueling condition is established. Then, according to the established recycling sequencing and scheduling model and the idea of huper-heuristic algorithm, a genetic programming with mandatory landing rules (MGP) algorithm is designed to solve the ship necovery scheduling problem. Further, the effectiveness of the proposed recovery sequencing and scheduling model and MGP algorithm is verified by simulation examples, and the advantages of MGP algorithm are verified by comparison with genetic algorithm, pure heuristic algorithm and common genetic programming algorithm. Text semantic representation is one of the most difficulty problems in natural language processing and machine learning. To solve the problem of semantic loss in text representation, this paper proposes a new text semantic representation method named Sem2vec (semantic to vector) model which is based on the LDA topic model and the Word2vec model. The topic similarity is calculated according to the word topic distribution obtained by the LDA model. Then the topic semantic word vectors are inputted into the Sem2vec model instead of the one-hot vector. Constrained by maximizing log-likelihood objective function, the parameters of the Sem2vec model are optimized. Finally, the semantic word vectors are learned by the Sem2vec model and the semantic representation of the text is further obtained. The experimental results on different datasets show that compared with the other classic models, the Sem2vec model is more accurate in calculating semantic similarity between words. Moreover, in different classification algorithms, the text semantic vectors generated by the Sem2vec model can improve the text classification results by 0.58%~3.5% and promote the time performance compared with the other classic models. To meet the requirements of crashworthiness design of electric vehicle power battery packs, the failure mechanism of lithium-ion batteries was studied under different mechanical abuse conditions. Based on local indentation and plane compression loading tests on three different capacity NCR18650 cylindrical lithium-ion batteries, the force-electric-thermal responses of lithium-ion batteries were analyzed and the cross-section failure modes of the compressed battery samples were given. Then the effects of loading types and battery capacity on the failure mechanism of cylindrical batteries were discussed. The results show that internal short circuit and external short circuit failure modes of batteries may be caused by local indentation and plane compression, respectively. With the increase of battery capacity, the bearing performances of the batteries may reduce, which leads to the failure displacements decrease. Loading types and rated capacity also have an effect on the surface temperature changes of the batteries. The maximum surface temperature of the batteries after the local indentation is higher, and the surface temperature changes of the medium-capacity batteries are relatively smooth. To improve the accuracy of in-process tool wear monitoring in machining processes, an in-process tool wear monitoring model was proposed based on LSTM-CNN. In the monitoring model, the vibration, force and acoustic emission signals during the cutting processes of the tool was collected respectively by vibration, force and acoustic emission sensors, the collected datum were essentially time series datum. Considering the sequence and multidimensional characteristics of the collected datum, the LSTM-CNN performed sequence and multidimensional feature extraction on the collected datum, and used linear regression to map the features to the tool wear values. There are many disease names conserved in ancient dictionaries. The ancients' knowledge on diseases can be inferred through annotation on these names. However, corruption cannot be avoided in the process of literature handing-down, so that the descendants can not accurately understand the original meaning of these disease names. Some disease names with large question in Guangya, including "zhou (...)", "wen (...)", "zi (...)", "zi (...)" and "xian (...)", are combed and analyzed combining with the relevant ancient literature for textually researching on the meanings of these disease names. The purpose is to reflect the importance of explanation on special ancient books to medical lexicological study, and to supplement and correct the interpretation with doubts in contemporary large-scale dictionaries. Objectives: The repair of small- and medium-sized defects in the oral tongue has always been a challenge, and the effect of free flap and distal pedicle flap is still far from satisfactory. Tongue flap is an ideal choice for repairing small- and medium-sized defects. However, the disadvantages such as poor local morphology restricts the development of this operation.This study aims to investigate the efficacy of double V-Y advancement mucosal flap in repair of small- and medium-sized defects of the tongue defect., Methods: The clinical data of 15 patients with tongue defect lesions who were hospitalized in the Department of Stomatology, Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University from March 2019 to May 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. After the lesions were completely excised, the mucosa and part of the tongue defect were left. One V-Y advancement mucosal flap was designed anteriorly and posteriorly to the defect. The superficial mucosa was incised gradually all around, preserving the deep median muscle tip. The 2 flaps were freed toward the middle of the defect, and the anterior and posterior flaps were sutured together at the middle of the defect, with the donor area directly pulled together and sutured., Results: The double V-Y advancement mucosal flap survived in 15 patients, and the wounds healed at stage I. The postoperative follow-up time was 12-22 months, and the patients had no recurrence, with symmetrical tongue shape, and no traction and deformation in the affected tongue organs. Meanwhile, the intraoral flap was thin and flat, and healed well with the surrounding mucosa, without obvious flap contracture or tongue bite., Conclusions: Double V-Y advancement mucosal flap has the advantages of flexible design, simple preparation, reliable blood supply, and good protection of the donor site, which may be one of the effective methods for repairing small- and medium-sized defects in the anterior tongue mucosa.

Objective: To explore the genetic basis for 4 patients with globozoospermia., Methods: Semen and blood samples were collected from the patients for the determination of sperm concentration, viability, survival rate, morphology and acrosome antigen CD46. Meanwhile, DNA was extracted for whole exome sequencing (WES), and candidate variants were validated by Sanger sequencing., Results: All of the four patients were found to harbor variants of the DPY19L2 gene. Patients 1 ~ 3 had homozygous deletions of the DPY19L2 gene. Sanger sequencing confirmed that the DPY19L2 gene in patient 3 was disrupted at a recombination breakpoint area BP2, resulting in nonallelic homologous recombination and complete deletion of the DPY19L2 gene. Patients 2 and 3 respectively harbored novel homozygous deletions of exons 2 ~ 22 and exons 14 ~ 15. Patient 4 harbored heterozygous deletion of the DPY19L2 gene, in addition with a rare homozygous deletion of the 3' UTR region., Conclusion: DPY19L2 gene variants probably underlay the globozoospermia in the four patients, which has fit an autosomal recessive pattern of inheritance and the characteristics of genomic diseases.

The electroencephalogram (EEG) signal is a general reflection of the neurophysiological activity of the brain, which has the advantages of being safe, efficient, real-time and dynamic. With the development and advancement of machine learning research, automatic diagnosis of Alzheimer's diseases based on deep learning is becoming a research hotspot. Started from feedforward neural networks, this paper compared and analysed the structural properties of neural network models such as recurrent neural networks, convolutional neural networks and deep belief networks and their performance in the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. It also discussed the possible challenges and research trends of this research in the future, expecting to provide a valuable reference for the clinical application of neural networks in the EEG diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.

To investigate the main chemical compositions of Verbena officinals L . extract, a qualitative high performance liquid chromatography-photodiode array-high resolution mass spectrometry (HPLC-PDA-HRMS) method was established. The structures of the compounds detected were identified by analyzing the chromatographic profiles and the corresponding mass spectra obtained by full scan and MS n full scan. Twenty one compounds including iridoid glycosides, flavonoids, triterpenoids, phenylpropanoids and phenolic diterpenoids were identified, and six of them were not reported in other literatures about Verbena officinalis L . extract, such as carnosic acid, carnosol, rosmanol, isorosmanol, rosmarinic acid and acacetin-7- O -rutinoside. This method is simple, rapid, accurate and sensitive. It provides a reliable scientific basis for the identification of the authenticity and quality control of Chinese medicinal materials.

Objective To study the role of reactive oxygen species/c-Jun N-terminal kinase (ROS/JNK) pathway in apoptosis of human lung epithelial A549 cells induced by chrysotile from Sichuan Xinkang. Methods A549 cells were stimulated by 12.5, 25, 50, 100, 200 μg/mL chrysotile for 24 hours, and the cell viability was evaluated by MTT assay. Annexin V-FITC/PI double staining combined with flow cytometry was performed to detect cell apoptosis; the JC-1 loading was used to detect mitochondrial membrane potential; the ROS level was tested by two hydrogen dichlorofluorescein acetoacetic ester (DCFH-DA) staining. The protein expressions of p-JNK1, p-JNK2, and cleaved caspase-3 were determined by Western blotting. Results The cell viability decreased with the increase of the concentration of chrysotile, and the 50% inhibitory concentration was 223.43 μg/mL. The apoptosis rate showed a dose-effect relationship. The ROS level was elevated; the expressions of p-JNK1, p-JNK2 and cleaved caspase-3 proteins were up-regulated; and the mitochondrial membrane potential was induced. Compared with the same concentration of chrysotile, ROS inhibitor significantly inhibited cell apoptosis, decreased the level of ROS, reduced the degree of mitochondrial membrane potential, and down-regulated the expressions of p-JNK1, p-JNK2 and cleaved caspase-3 proteins. Conclusion Chrysotile from Sichuan Xinkang might induce the apoptosis of A549 cells via ROS/JNK pathway.

Objective: To compare the effects between acupuncture mainly at dizzy auditory region combined with modified Epley and simple modified Epley for post semicircular canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (PC-BPPV)., Methods: Sixty-seven patients were randomly assigned into an observation group (37 cases) and a control group (30 cases). Modified Epley was used in the two groups, and acupuncture was mainly applied at dizzy auditory region, Baihui (GV 20), emotion region and Taiyang (EX-HN 5) for 2 courses (6 days as a course), once a day. Syndrome scores before and after treatment as well as the effects of the two groups were observed., Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was 91.9% (34/37),which was higher than 83.3% (25/30) of the control group, but there was no statistical significance between the two groups ( P >0.05). The syndrome scores were improved apparently after treatment in the two groups (both P <0.001), with the better results after 1-course and 2-course treatments in the observation group compared with the corresponding ones in the control group (both P <0.01)., Conclusions: Acupuncture mainly at dizzy auditory region combined with modified Epley for PC-BPPV are better than simple modified Epley.

In the Buddhist canons, there are lots of medicines imported from abroad recorded. The dictionary works of such Buddhist canons give detailed annotations and explanations to all these foreign medicines, from which we can investigate the features of all these medicines. It is also clear that these three medicines were imported into China no later than the Tang Dynasty. Amara was originally grown in the xi yu (Western Region) , now called Mango. Its form and connotation appeared no later than the eastern Han Dynasty, and the explanation of this medicine appears in the A Great Modern Dictionary of Chinese is wrong. While its explanation for Butea monsperma should be supplemented. There are two kinds of asafoitida, herbaceous and woody. Only the former one is used for medical purpose, and the annotation appeared in A Great Modern Dictionary of Chinese is problematic.

In order to improve the speech quality and auditory perceptiveness of electronic cochlear implant under strong noise background, a speech enhancement system used for electronic cochlear implant front-end was constructed. Taking digital signal processing (DSP) as the core, the system combines its multi-channel buffered serial port (McBSP) data transmission channel with extended audio interface chip TLV320AIC10, so speech signal acquisition and output with high speed are realized. Meanwhile, due to the traditional speech enhancement method which has the problems as bad adaptability, slow convergence speed and big steady-state error, versiera function and de-correlation principle were used to improve the existing adaptive filtering algorithm, which effectively enhanced the quality of voice communications. Test results verified the stability of the system and the de-noising performance of the algorithm, and it also proved that they could provide clearer speech signals for the deaf or tinnitus patients.

Objective: To study the therapeutic effect of intranasal administration of temozolomide (TMZ) for brain-targeting delivery in a rat model bearing orthotopic C6 glioma xenografts., Methods: Forty Wistar rat bearing brain C6 glioma xenograft were randomly divided into 4 groups and treated with physiological saline solution or with TMZ by intravenous injection, gavage or intranasal administration. The tumor size, rat survival time and pathological changes were observed in each group., Results: Magnetic resonance imaging showed a significantly reduced volume of glioma in intranasal TMZ group compared with that in the control, intraveneous TMZ injection group and TMZ gavage groups (12.45∓2.49 mm(3) vs 60.16∓4.12, 33.17∓3.56, and 35.16∓4.36 mm(3), respectively, P<0.05). The median survival time of the C6 glioma-bearing rats was also significantly longer in intranasal TMZ group than in the other 3 groups (31.0 days vs 20, 19, and 21.5 days, respectively, P<0.05). In the glioma xenografts, PCNA expression was the lowest and tumor cell apoptosis rate the highest in intranasal TMZ group., Conclusion: Intranasal TMZ administration can suppress the growth of C6 glioma in rats and may serve as an effective strategy for glioma treatment.

The eco-environment in eastern part of Qinghai-Tibet plateau is a rather complicated complex. The plants species there are quite diverse. The plant resource from Polygonaceae family used in traditional Tibetan medicine is very rich according to preliminary investigation. There were 6 genera and 15 species. The flora and the medicine value of them were analyzed. And some suggestions about traditional Tibetan medicine plant resource exploitation and utilization were presented.

Objective: To observe the role of blood glucose control on morphology changes of retinal vessels and retinal vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression in early diabetic rats., Methods: Diabetes was induced in 8-week-old male Wistar rats by a single intraperitoneal injection of Streptozotocin (STZ). After 3 weeks, the animals were randomly divided into four groups: (1) normal rats group, (2) diabetic rats group, (3) diabetic rats with glucose controlled group, received intensive insulin therapy for 20 days, and (4) diabetic rats with uncontrolled blood glucose group, received unregular insulin therapy, which caused the abrupt fluctuation of glucose. After the treatment period, the animals were perfused with 30 mg/ml Fluorescein isothiocyanate-dextran (FITC-Dextran). The eyes were enucleated and fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde immediately. Retinal flat mounts and paraffin sections were prepared. Morphology of impaired retinal vessels and retinal VEGF expression were assessed by immunofluorescence stain and image analysis., Results: The flat-mounted retinas showed more FITC-Dextran aggregated locally at vessels and capillary meandered or dilated in STZ-diabetic rats with uncontrolled blood glucose than in STZ-diabetic rats with controlled blood glucose. Retinal VEGF expression decreased in group 3 compared with group 2 or with group 4. The statistical difference was significant (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: Strict control of blood glucose by insulin could decrease VEGF expression in retina and protect retinal vessels from impairing in early STZ-diabetic rats.

Purpose: To compare differences in intraocular lens (IOL) decentration, tilt and anterior chamber depth (ACD) using Pentacam-Scheimpflug System images in eyes having phacoemulsification with implantation of 1 of 3 types of IOLs., Methods: This study comprised 117 cataractous eyes of 109 patients having phacoemulsification and IOL implantation. The eyes were randomized into 3 groups based on IOL type. The degree of IOL decentration, tilt and ACD was measured using Oculus Pentacam System 1 day and 1, 3, 6 and 12 months after surgery., Results: There was no significant change during the 12 months follow-up period in decentration or tilt in each group (P > 0.05). There was no significant difference among the groups in IOL decentration or tilt at any time point (P > 0.05). The ACD did not change after surgery in the Acrysof SA60AT group (P > 0.05) but showed significant shallowing in the Tecnis Z9001 group and the Sensar AR40e group (P < 0.05). There was significant difference among the groups in ACD only at 1 day after surgery (P < 0.05)., Conclusions: The IOL stability in eyes that received a 1-piece Acrysof SA60AT IOL with flexible haptics was better than the results with normal capsular bag IOL implantation and an intact continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis that received a 3-piece IOL with rigid haptics.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of arsenic trioxide (As2O3) on the growth of human androgen-independent prostate cancer PC-3 cell lines., Methods: The changes of the growth and shape of PC-3 cells cultured in As2O3 of different concentrations were observed under the optical microscope after using different concentrations of As2O3, and the growth inhibition curve of As2O3 was obtained by means of MTT. An analysis was made of the apoptosis of the PC-3 cells treated with different concentrations of As2O3 by flow cytometry. And the inhibiting mechanism of As2O3was investigated by means of Annexin-V-FIFC/PI double staining., Results: Affected by As2O3, the PC-3 cells turned round and small and less transparent in cytoplasm, and some sheded and suspended in the culture medium. Forty-eight hours after treatment with different concentrations of As2O3 (7.8125 micromol/L, 15.625 micromol/L, 31.25 micromol/L, 62.5 micromol/L, 125 micromol/L, 250 micromol/L, 500 micromol/L), the growth inhibition rates of the PC-3 cells were (0.06+/-0.99)%, (15.01+/-1.12)%, (29.21+/-1.31)%, (34.32+/-1.14)%, (40.51+/-1.81)%, (69.39+/-1.74)%, and (73.19+/- 2.41)% respectively; and 72 hours after treatment, the growth inhibition rates were (0.04+/-1.51)%, (16.19+/-1.04)%, (43.61+/-1.12)%, (56.66+/-1.23)%, (73.13+/-2.61)%, (5.22+/-1.74)% and (91.41+/-2.81)%, respectively. Forty-eight hours after the administration of different concentrations of As2O3 (0.1 micromol/L, 1.0 micromol/L, 3.0 micromol/L, 5.0 micromol/L, 20.0 micromol/L, 50.0 micromol/L), the apoptosis rates were 0.87%, 5.33%, 8.94%, 9.66%, 12.56%, 45.59% and 69.09%, respectively; and 72 hours after the administration, the apoptosis rates were 0.13%, 13.49%, 4.96%, 11.10%, 20.72%, 92.92% and 93.61%, respectively., Conclusion: As2O3 could inhibit the growth of androgen-independent prostate cancer PC-3 cell lines. The inhibiting effect on PC-3 cell lines is correlated with the time of treatment and concentration of As2O3, and accelerates cell apoptosis.

Objective: To report the initial application of brain protection device in the dilatation and stenting of atherosclerotic stenosis of the carotid and vertebral artery., Methods: Eighteen patients with 21 atherosclerotic stenoses of the carotid or vertebral artery underwent dilatation and/or stenting with brain protection device (filterwire or angioguard). The clinical results were summarized and the indispensability and feasibility of the device was discussed., Results: With the aid of brain protection device, endovascular dilatation and (or) stenting were performed in all the patients with 21 stenoses of the carotid or vertebral artery. The interventional manipulation was successful and no complications occurred., Conclusions: Brain protection device is helpful to decrease the embolic complication caused by atherosclerotic plaque and thromboembolus and to increase the security of interventional therapy, during the dilatation and/or stenting of stenosis of the carotid or vertebral artery.
