Objective To analyze the literature on artificial intelligence in forensic research from 2012 to 2022 in the Web of Science Core Collection Database, to explore research hotspots and developmental trends. Methods A total of 736 articles on artificial intelligence in forensic medicine in the Web of Science Core Collection Database from 2012 to 2022 were visualized and analyzed through the literature measuring tool CiteSpace. The authors, institution, country （region）, title, journal, keywords, cited references and other information of relevant literatures were analyzed. Results A total of 736 articles published in 220 journals by 355 authors from 289 institutions in 69 countries （regions） were identified, with the number of articles published showing an increasing trend year by year. Among them, the United States had the highest number of publications and China ranked the second. Academy of Forensic Science had the highest number of publications among the institutions. Forensic Science International, Journal of Forensic Sciences, International Journal of Legal Medicine ranked high in publication and citation frequency. Through the analysis of keywords, it was found that the research hotspots of artificial intelligence in the forensic field mainly focused on the use of artificial intelligence technology for sex and age estimation, cause of death analysis, postmortem interval estimation, individual identification and so on. Conclusion It is necessary to pay attention to international and institutional cooperation and to strengthen the cross-disciplinary research. Exploring the combination of advanced artificial intelligence technologies with forensic research will be a hotspot and direction for future research.

Objective To explore whether PM2.5 induces the secretion of IL-6 and TNF-α in 16HBE via the Wnt-5a/JNK signaling pathway. Methods The research was implemented by rats and 16HBE cells. Rats were divided into control group and motor vehicle exhaust(MVE) group(concentration 1.5 mg/m2,2 h/day); 16HBE cells were divided into control group,PM2.5(20 μg/mL)group,control siRNA+PM2.5 group,Wnt-5a siRNA+PM2.5 group,Wnt-5a siRNA+control group,JNK inhibitor SP600125+PM2.5 group and SP600125+control group. The expressions of p-JNK and p-c-Jun in lung tissues were examined by immune-histochemistry method. The expressions of Wnt-5a,JNK,c-Jun,p-JNK and p-c-Jun were measured by Western blot. The secretions of IL-6 and TNF-α were assessed by ELISA. Results Compared with the control rat group, MVE group exhibited significantly up-regulated the expression of p-JNK and p-c-Jun(P＜0.05); Compared with the 16HBE cell control group,PM2.5 group significantly up-regulated the expressions of Wnt-5a,p-JNK and p-c-Jun and the secretions of IL-6 and TNF-α(P＜0.05);Compared with the PM2.5 group, Wnt-5a siRNA+PM2.5 group blocked these effects(P＜0.05). Furthermore,SP600125+PM2.5 group showed a significantly decreased expression of p-c-Jun and the secretion of IL-6 and TNF-α by 16HBE cells(P＜0.05). Conclusions PM2.5 induces the secretions of IL-6 and TNF-α by 16HBE cells via Wnt-5a/JNK signaling pathway.

The adsorption of nitrate in aqueous solution on the raw activated carbon and the activated carbon modified by metals extracted from water treatment residual was explored. XRF was showed that the surface of activated carbon was successfully loaded with Al, Fe and other elements, the loading capacity of Fe was 4.61 mg/g,and that of Al was 13. 80 mg/g. The modified activated carbon has a lower specific surface area due to the loading of metal ions in the pores of the modified activated carbon. Batch tests showed that the adsorption of nitrate nitrogen on modified activated carbon fitted the pseudo-second-order model well,and the adsorption isotherm fited the Langmuir model. At 288 IK, the adsorption capacity of nitrate on modified activated carbon was 2. 752 5 mgg,the process of nitrate adsorption on modified activated carbon was entropy increase and exothermic,and it was spontaneous reaction. Objective: To analyze the functional change of horizontal semicircular canals after cochlear implantation. Method: Eighteen patients were enrolled in this study.Their vestibular function was evaluated by using the caloric test and video head impulse test before and one week,one month after CI surgery,respectively.The unilateral weakness(UW),slow phase velocity(SPV)in caloric test and gain in video head impulse test(vHIT-G)were observed.Caloric test was abnormal when UW>25% or SPV mean<6°/s,while vHIT was abnormal when vHIT-G<0.8. Result: The SPV of the implanted ear were[(10.36±8.01)°/s;(14.77±14.24)°/s]pre-operatively,[(6.45±7.52)°/s;(5.14±4.67)°/s]1 week post-operatively and[(6.05±3.86)°/s;(6.27±4.17)°/s]1 month post-operatively.Statistically significant difference( P <0.05)was found between pre-and post-operative period.The vHIT-G of the implanted ear were(0.73±0.33)pre-operatively,(0.65±0.32)1 week post-operatively and(0.71±0.36)1 month post-operatively.There was no statistically significant difference of vHIT-G between preand post-operative period( P (pre-operative/1 week post-operative)=0.084, P (pre-operative/1 month post-operative)=0.679).Four patients presented with vertigo and one of them manifested slight unsteadiness post-operatively.All symptoms resolved within 7 days.These symptoms had no correlate with age,gender,implantedear and results of vestibular test. Conclusion: Cochlear implantation can affect the horizontal semicircular canal function,and the video head impulse test and caloric test should be used in a complementary fashion.

Objective: To study the effect of co-culture of stromal cells and acute myeloid leukemia(AML) cells on drug resistance of AML cells and its mechanism., Methods: Stromal cells were co-cultured with acute myeloid leukemia cell HL-60 and then were treated with DNR, HHT and Ara-C for observing the sensitivity of HL-60 cells to drugs after incubation with HS-5. At the same time, the the inhibitor LY294002 of PI3K/AKT signaling pathway was used to treat the cells, so as to explore whether the changes of HL-60 sensitivity is associated with the activation of PI3K/AKT signal pathway after co-culture of cells., Results: The statistical results of HL-60 cell inhibition rate showed that the HL-60 cell sensitivity to drugs was decreased after incubation with HS-5, the mRNA quantitation and immunblot detection showed that PI3K/AKT signaling pathway was activated after co-culture of HL-60 cells with HS-5 cells, in addition the CCND1, FOXO1, PTEN and other important genes were also changed significantly., Conclusion: After co-culture of HL-60 cells with HS-5, some important molecules of PI3K/AKT signal pathway are changed, such as CCND1,FOXO1, PTEN, finally leading to the change of HL-60 cell sensitivity to drugs.

Objective: To explore the effects of pessary use on symptomatic improvement and quality-of-life (QOL) in women with pelvic organ prolapse (POP)., Methods: For this prospective cohort study, 79 patients with symptomatic POP were evaluated for pessary insertion between October 2011 and February 2013. After 3 and 6 months of consistent pessary use, quality of life was assessed with the Chinese version of Short-Form 12-Item Health Survey (SF-12) and pelvic floor impact questionnaire short form (PFIQ-7)., Results: Their average age was (66±9) years, average parity (2.4±1.1) and average duration of POP (68±14) months. Among them, 63 (79.7%) continued pessary use at 3 months and 46 (58.2%) at 6 months. The reasons for dropout were inappropriate size, discomfort and urinary retention. Compared with baseline findings, SF-12 and PFIQ-7 demonstrated significant improvement in patient QOL at 3 months and 6 months., Conclusion: Pessary use results in significant changes of QOL for POP patients. And it is a viable noninvasive treatment for pelvic organ prolapse.

Objective: To study the components of volatile oil of Alpinia henryi., Methods: The volatile oil was extracted by steam distillation method,used gaseous phase-mass spectrum combination method (GC-MS) to analyze the components of volatile oil., Results: 58 kinds of components were isolated, among them 42 were identified and determined the relative content., Conclusion: This study provides a basis for the development and utilization of Alpinia henryi.

Objective: To explore the effect of different doses of 1,25-(OH)(2)VitD(3) early supplementation on airway inflammation and lung inflammatory factors in baby rats with asthma., Methods: Forty male weaned Wistar rats were divided into normal group, model group, low 1,25-(OH)(2)VitD(3) group, middle 1,25-(OH)(2)VitD(3) group, high 1,25-(OH)(2)VitD(3) group using random number table (8 rats each group). The rats in low, middle and high 1,25-(OH)(2)VitD(3) groups were given 1, 4, 10 µg/kg of 1,25-(OH)(2)VitD(3) every other day by intraperitoneal injection respectively for 25 days. Except normal group, the rats in other groups were challenged with ovalbumin to establish the asthma model. The pathologic changes of lung tissue, the total white blood cell and classified cell counts in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were measured. The concentrations of IL-4, IL-5 and IFN-γ in serum and BALF were measured by ELISA method., Results: The level of total white blood cell counts in BALF were (5.98 ± 1.67)×10(5)/ml, (25.34 ± 4.28)×10(5)/ml, (17.24 ± 3.3)×10(5)/ml, (9.31 ± 3.37)×10(5)/ml, (45.1 ± 15.75)×10(5)/ml, respectively (F = 33.453, P < 0.01). The percent ratio of EOS in BALF were (1.44 ± 0.78)%, (17.81 ± 6.88)%, (15.00 ± 5.70)%, (8.89 ± 3.66)%, (25.88 ± 5.57)%, respectively (F = 27.299, P < 0.01). The level of IL-4 in serum of normal, model, low, middle and high-1,25-(OH)(2)VitD(3) groups were (0.62 ± 0.54), (7.57 ± 1.04), (3.58 ± 0.56), (2.70 ± 0.78) and (5.27 ± 0.30) pg/ml, respectively (F = 116.287, P < 0.01); IL-5 in resume were (32.20 ± 4.23), (67.14 ± 18.14), (37.51 ± 0.47), (40.69 ± 2.47) and (124.60 ± 36.19) pg/ml, respectively (F = 23.902, P < 0.01); IFN-γ in serum were (79.71 ± 10.08), (49.06 ± 4.46), (59.15 ± 2.51), (59.27 ± 2.33) and (53.85 ± 1.97) pg/ml, respectively (F = 39.954, P < 0.01). Also in BLAF, the IL-4 of all groups were (0.51 ± 0.30), (102.92 ± 54.61), (8.64 ± 4.07), (3.10 ± 1.28) and (33.67 ± 8.1) pg/ml, respectively (F = 24.062, P < 0.01); the IFN-γ were (247.37 ± 189.18), (43.82 ± 13.76), (81.32 ± 17.07), (86.50 ± 14.26) and (59.89 ± 34.17) pg/ml, respectively (F = 7.157, P < 0.01); the IL-5 in BALF were (38.81 ± 0.60), (80.48 ± 17.90), (45.11 ± 1.33), (43.39 ± 1.11) and (149.60 ± 45.87) pg/ml, respectively (F = 35.978, P < 0.01). Pathologic changes in lung of asthma rat groups were obvious. The lung pathologic changes in low and middle dose groups showed a significant improvement compared to the asthma group and high dosage group showed more serious pathologic changes compared to the low and middle dose groups., Conclusion: Intervention with appropriate dose of 1,25-(OH)(2)VitD(3) in the early life could improve lung pathologic changes and reduce the effect of inflammatory factors in air way of baby rat asthma model. However, overdose might play detrimental effect.

Objective: To evaluate the inhibitory effect of artemisnin on surgically induced endometriosis in rat model and the possible mechanism related to cellular apoptosis and microvascular angiogenesis., Methods: Surgically induced endometriosis model was established with female rats, and then the rats were divided into four groups: high dose artemisinin [300 mg/(kg x d)), low dose artemisinin [150 mg/(kg x d)], danazol [160 mg/(kg x d)] and solvent control group After daily administration of the above agents for 4 weeks, the rats were sacrificed, then the implant size of ectopic endometrium was measured and appotosis index (AI), Bcl-2 and MVD in ectopic endometrium were evaluated with S-P immunohistochemistry., Results: Compared with solvent control, both artemisinin (high and low quality) and danazol decrease the size of implants significantly (P < 0.05), and there was no significant difference among the three treatment groups. AI of the three treatment groups increased significantly, while Bcl-2 and MVD decreased significantly (P < 0.05). AI of both artemisinin groups were significantly higher than that of danazol group, but Bcl-2 level was lower., Conclusion: Artemisnin inhibits surgically induced endometriosis in rats, and the possible mechanism may be related to stimulatation of cellular apoptosis and inhibition of angiogenesis.

Objective: To construct the prokayotic expression vector pET-15b-cdtB containing the cdtB gene from Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans (Aa) and to test the bioactivity of this recombinant CdtB in vitro., Methods: The toxic cytolethal distending toxin (CDT) subunit encoding gene cdtB was amplified by PCR. Through restriction endonuclease digestion, gene cdtB and vector pET-15b were ligated to form pET-15b-cdtB expression system which was transformed into competent cells Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3). Protein expression was induced by isopropyl-beta-D-thiogalactoside and examined by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and Western blotting. Supercoiled plasmid pET-32a DNA was incubated with purified recombinant CdtB protein in vitro to view any changes in the electrophoretic mobility of the plasmid pET-32a DNA band., Results: PCR testing results of pET-15b-cdtB transformed cells demonstrated that all strains contained cdtB gene. The DNA sequence was blast with cdtB gene from GenBank and 99% homology was obtained. Both of SDS-PAGE and Western blotting confirmed that recombinant CdtB was obtained. After incubated with the purified recombinant CdtB in vitro, the supercoiled plasmid pET-32a DNA was observed relaxing by 1% agarose gel electrophoresis test., Conclusions: The recombinant plasmid pET-15b-cdtB was successfully constructed and the recombinant CdtB protein which has the DNaseI-like activity was obtained.
