The soil surface in the southern Xinjiang region has a high salt content, and flooding water causes salt dissolution and pollutes surface water. Therefore, it is particularly important to study the technology of nitrogen and phosphorus removal in the degradation of high salt wastewater. Activated sludge was inoculated in an SBR system with a height to diameter ratio (RH/D) of 7.5, and synthetic wastewater (containing 0.25 mg/L Ni2+) was used as influent to analyze the changes in sludge morphology, pollutant removal performance, microbial community during the sludge granulation process, as well as the ability of granular sludge to remove pollutants from high salt wastewater under salinity stress. The results showed that the mature granular sludge was yellow in multiple forms, with an average particle size of 357 μm. The average removal rates of COD, TP, and NH4+-N in wastewater were 95%,91.27%,and 94.5%, respectively. The dominant bacterial genera were Zoogloea, Flavobacterium,and Unclassified_f_Comamonadaceae. The influent water quality would change the relative abundance of microorganisms, while there was no significant impact on the microbial community structure. When the salt application rate was 15 g/L, the removal rates of COD, TP, and NH4+-N were 86.7%, 67.2%, and 62.6%, respectively. The sludge maintained good carbon removal ability. When the salt application rate exceeded 15 g/L, the removal rates of all indicators showed a downward trend. The application of low concentrations of heavy metals accelerated the start-up of granular sludge and targeted microorganisms for nitrogen and phosphorus removal, which had reference for the treatment of pollutants in high salt wastewater.

Objective Grouting reinforcement is a common measure to reduce disturbance on existing buildings during tunnel construction. It is essential to focus on the design of GRM (grouting reinforcement mass) parameters in the engineering. Appropriate GRM parameters are crucial to ensure reinforcement effectiveness and reduce project costs. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize and analyze these parameters based on practical engineering conditions. Method Taking the tunneling project of Wuyi Overpass Station to Xinxiu Park Station interval on Nanning Rail Transit Line 5 as example, the under-passing construction is classified by the position relation between existing buildings and tunnel. Numerical calculations are used to optimize the GRM cross-sectional parameters, and the stress mechanism of the GRM is analyzed. On-site grouting reinforcement is carried out according to the parameter optimization results to validate the effectiveness of GRM parameter optimization. Result & Conclusion Under-passing construction is divided into three categories: under-passing directly beneath buildings, side-passing Type I buildings, and side-passing Type II buildings. For the first one, the GRM should extend into the micro-disturbance area by approximately 1 m, with a grouting thickness of 6 m. For the second and third, the GRM should extend approximately 4 m beyond the close tunnel side and penetrate 4 m into the micro-disturbance area on the far tunnel side, with a thickness of 6 m. The stress mechanism of the GRM can be simplified to anchor beams at both ends when under-passing directly beneath buildings and to cantilever beams when side-passing buildings. Monitoring results demonstrate that optimizing the GRM parameters can effectively control building deformation.

Objective To understand the genotyping of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) co-infected hepatitis C virus (HCV) patients in Yunnan Province, and to analyze the differences in viral load, biochemical indicators, and blood routine indicators among different genotypes, in order to provide a laboratory basis for the diagnosis and clinical treatment of HIV/HCV co-infected patients. Methods From November 2022 to June 2023, the serum samples and basic information of patients diagnosed with HIV/HCV co-infection were collected in the antiviral outpatient clinic of Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Infectious Diseases. The HCV viral load was detected by one-step qRT-PCR amplification, the positive samples were sequenced, and genotyping was determined based on NS5 gene sequence. The differences in biochemical and blood routine indexes between HIV patients co-infected with different HCV genotypes and low/high viral loads were analyzed. Results A total of 126 HIV/HCV co-infected patients were collected, including 20 HCV genotype 1 (15.9%), 91 HCV genotype 3 (72.2%), and 15 HCV genotype 6 (11.9%). The maximum and minimum viral load of the three HCV genotypes were as follows: HCV type 1 (1.0x108, 4.8x104 IU/mL), HCV type 3 (2.2x108, 2.9x10² IU/mL), and HCV type 6 (8.1x107, 6.8x104 IU/mL). The results showed that there was no significant difference between HIV co-infection with different genotypes of HCV and three HIV treatment schemes, including nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors+integrase strand transfer inhibitors (NRTIs+ INSTIs), nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors+non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs+NNRTIs) and nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors+protease inhibitor (NRTIs+PLs), and the viral load of patients (P>0.05). The analysis of biochemical indexes such as total bilirubin (TBIL), direct bilirubin (DBIL), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), creatinine (CREA), and blood routine indexes such as white blood cell (WBC), red blood cell (RBC), hemoglobin (HGB), platelet (PLT), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) among different HCV genotypes and low/high viral loads showed that there was no significant difference in biochemical indexes and blood routine indexes between low/high viral loads of HIV co-infected HCV patients (P>0.05); however, the biochemical indicators TBIL, IBIL and MCHC were significantly different statistically between patients with genotype 3 HCV infection and those with genotype 1 HCV infection (P<0.05), while other biochemical and blood routine indexes were not statistically different among different HCV genotypes (P>0.05). Conclusions There are six subtypes of HCV co-infection in HIV patients in Kunming, Yunnan Province, including three genes of genotype 1, 3, and 6. Among them, genotype 3 HCV is the main prevalent genetic virus among HIV co-infected populations. The TBIL, IBIL and MCHC values of HIV patients co-infected with HCV type 3 are different from those infected with HCV type 1. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

For urban rail transit and municipal pipelines, shield tunnels of small and medium diameters have natural advantages and developed rapidly in recent years. However, with the increasingly complex geological conditions and surrounding environment, the longitudinal differential settlement poses great influences on structural safety. In order to study the characteristics of longitudinal bending stiffness in small and medium diameter shield tunnels, the longitudinal bending performance test of shield tunnel structure is carried out based on similarity model theory, in which the influences of circumferential and longitudinal joints are taken into account. The vertical deformation and bending rigidity of the shield tunnel are analyzed, and the empirically modified formula is put forward for the efficiency of the longitudinal bending rigidity in small and medium diameter shield tunnels, and the range of critical parameters is given. The results show that: (1) The stiffness of the segment lining structure changes under loads, which is caused by the deformation of segment lining structure after loading. (2) For shield tunnels of 4.2m and 6m diameter, the reasonable effective efficiency of the longitudinal bending rigidity is 0.194-0.352 and 0.162-0.311, respectively. (3) The modified coefficient of longitudinal bending stiffness is introduced to modify the theoretical formula of Xu's model. According to the test results, the ranges of modified coefficient for shield tunnels of 4.2m and 6m diameter are 0.7 - 1.4 and 0.8 - 1.6 separately. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The modified g-C3N4 and polyurethane through the modification of g-C3N4 by silane coupling agent (OTS). The effects of different mass rations of modified g-C3N4 on the corrosion resistance and other properties of modified g-C3N4/polyurethane com poste are studied. The structure and properties of g-C3N4 are characterized by FT-IR, XRD, XPS and particle size analysis. Meanwhile, the morphology and properties of g-C3N4 composite are characterized by contact angle analysis, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and electrochemistry. The results show that the dispersion of g-C3N4 is enhanced after modification, and the average particle size decreases from 682 nm to 118 nm. The modified g-C3N4 doping enhances the hydrophobidity of polyurethane and increases the contact angle by 25°. The corrosion resistance of the modified g-C3N4/polyurethane composite increases first and then decreases with the increase of the mass fraction of modified g-C3N4. When the mass fraction of modified g-C3N4 is 3%, the corrosion resistance of the composite increases by 58.74% and 46.34%, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To compare the trueness of incisal guidance of implant-supported single crowns designed by patient-specific motion (PSM) with that designed by average-value virtual articulator (AVA)., Methods: The study had recruited 12 participants with complete dentition and stable incisal guidance. An intraoral scanner was used to scan digital casts and record two types of patient-specific motion (data only including protrusive movement, and data including protrusive movement and lateral protrusive movement). The lingual surfaces of the maxillary incisors which guided the protrusive movement was selected and elevated to create a reference cast. A maxillary central incisor of original casts was vir-tually extracted and implanted to generate a working cast. The Dental system software program was used to design implant-supported single crowns with the anatomical coping design method. The incisal guidance was designed by different methods. The incisal guidance in control group was designed by the average-value virtual articulator. The incisal guidance in experiment groups was designed by the patient-specific motion only including protrusive movement (PSM1) and with the patient-specific motion including protrusive movement and lateral protrusive movement (PSM2). The incisal guidance of prosthesis designed by these 3 methods were compared with the original incisal guidance in Geomagic Control 2015 (3DSystem, America). The measurements included: Average of positive values, ratio of positive area and maximum value reflecting supra-occlusion; average of negative values, ratio of negative area and minimum value reflecting over-correction; and root mean square reflecting overall deviation., Results: Statistical data were collected using the median (interquartile range) method. The average of positive values, ratio of positive area and average of negative values of the PSM2 group were smaller than those of the control group [8.0 (18.8) μm vs . 37.5 (47.5) μm; 0 vs . 7.2% (38.1%); -109.0 (63.8) μm vs .-66.5 (64.5) μm], and the ratio of negative area of PSM2 group was larger than those of the control group [52.9% (47.8%) vs . 17.3% (45.3%)], with significant differences ( P all < 0.05). The ratio of positive area [0.1% (7.0%)] and average of negative values [-97.0 (61.5) μm] of PSM1 group, were smaller than those of the control group, and the ratio of negative area [40.7% (39.2%)] of the PSM1 group was larger than that of the control group, with significant differences ( P < 0.05). The average of positive values [20.0 (42.0) μm] and ratio of positive area of PSM1 group was larger than that of the PSM2 group with significant differences ( P < 0.05)., Conclusion: To establish the incisor guidance of implant-supported single crowns, compared with the average-value virtual articulator and the patient-specific motion only including protrusive movement, the patient-specific motion including protrusive movement and lateral protrusive movement is more conducive to reducing the protrusive interference of prosthesis and improving the occlusal fit.

Objective: The fluorescent protein and gD envelope protein of equine herpes virus type 1 (EHV-1) were used to study the impact of tags on gD protein subcellular localization in BHK-21 cells., Methods: With the EHV-1 genome as a template, the gD complete gene was amplified by PCR technique. The product of PCR was cloned to pAcGFP1-C1 and pDsRed2-N1 plasmids. The recombinant plasmids were designated as pAc-GFP-gD (GFP-gD) and pDs-gD-Red (gD-Red). The GFP gene was inserted into the posterior position of gD gene signal peptide sequence. The modified gD gene signal peptide sequence was cloned to pVAX-1 plasmid, so that pVAX-S-GFP-gD' (S-GFPgD') recombinant plasmid was constructed. Meanwhile, the flag tag was added to N-terminal of gD sequence and they were cloned to pVAX-1 expression vector for constructing pVAX-Flag-gD recombinant plasmid. The BHK-21 cells were transfected with the 4 different recombinant plasmids and the subcellular localizations of fusion proteins were determined by lasar confocal scan microscopy., Results: Four eukaryotic expression vectors were constructed successfully. In BHK-21 cells, the vast majority of gD envelope proteins was localized in Golgi, and a small amount of gD was localized in the nucleus., Conclusion: Our finding reveals that the fluorescent protein of different insertion sites has no significant effects on the subcellular localization of gD, and provides a useful reference for other researchers.

Fibronectin-binding protein (FnBPA) is a protein that expresses on cell surface of Staphylococcus aureus during early stage of infection. FnBPA was capable of promoting Staphylococcus aureus to invade cells and was viewed as a potential immune target. Based on the FnBPA-A gene two recombinant expression vectors with or without Kozak sequence were constructed. After identified and confirmed by restriction enzyme digestion and sequencing they were used to immunize C57BL/6 mice. Then induced antibody titer, T lymphocyte proliferative response and experiment mice challenge test were measured. Our result indicates that humoral immune responses and challenge experiment induced by recombinant DNA with Kozak sequence were better than those without Kozak sequence (P < 0.05). For T lymphocyte proliferative response the induced effect of recombinant DNA with Kozak sequence was higher than that without Kozak sequence, but there was no significant difference (P > 0.05). We conclude that Kozak sequence could play an important role in immune response induced by FnBPA-A recombinant DNA.

Compatibility chemistry of acid-alkaline pair medicines in formulas of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is an important research field which should merit to pay attention. The ideas and methods in prescription compatibility research on formulas containing alkaline-acid pair medicines were summarized from the aspect of chemical groups of alkaline and acid ingredients; the research results were introduced and analyzed; the research meaning was elaborated; and the expectation of the field was viewed.
