Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of dengue fever in Guangzhou and provide a scientific basis for dengue fever prevention and control. Methods The data of dengue cases in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province reported between 2019 and 2023, were retrieved from the China Disease Prevention and Control Information System. Cross-sectional analysis was used to describe the temporal, spatial, and demographic distribution, and analyze the epidemiological characteristics. Results A total of 3 518 cases of dengue fever were reported in Guangzhou from 2019 to 2023, including 3 101 local cases (88.15%) and 417 imported cases (11.85%). The annual average incidence rate ranged from 0.09 to 17.59 per 100 000 population. Imported dengue fever cases were reported in all months, with the peak reported from May to November (374 cases, 89.69%). Local cases were first reported in May and the last in December, with the highest incidence from August to November (2 960 cases, 95.45%). The cases were reported in all 11 administrative districts; the top three were Baiyun District, Yuexiu District, and Liwan District. Male and female cases accounted for 53.52% and 46.48%, respectively; the age group mainly concentrated between 20-<60 years (2 547 cases, 72.40%). The top three occupations were business services (784 cases), housework and unemployment (738 cases), and retirees (596 cases). The average time from onset to diagnosis for local cases was 4.06 days, and 4.60 days for imported cases. The overseas imported cases mainly came from Southeast Asia 88.10%(311/353), with the most being imported from Cambodia. Cases imported from other provinces mainly came from Yunnan Province, and cases imported from other cities within the province mainly came from Foshan City. Conclusions In recent years, the incidence of dengue fever in Guangzhou has remained at a high level, with obvious imported and seasonal characteristics. Relevant departments should pay attention to key populations and take effective measures to reduce the density of mosquito vectors, and strictly prevent the spread of dengue fever. In this study we investigate the effects of cadmium stress on Astragalus membranaceus seedlings and the alleviative effects of attapulgite clay in growth substrate on cadmium stress to A. membranaceus seedlings. The results showed that the Y (Ⅱ) (effective photochemical quantum yield of PSⅡ photosynthetic), qP(photochemical quenching coefficient), ETR(the rate of non-cyclic electrontransport through PSⅡ), and chlorophyll content of the leaves were significantly decreased with the increase of cadmium concentrations, while the cadmium content, non-photochemical quenching(NPQ, qN) of the leaves and cadmium content, MDA content, plasma membrane permeability, and the damage degree of root apical membrane of the roots were significantly increased. Simultaneously, the activities of APX(ascorbate peroxidase), SOD(superoxide dismutase), POD(peroxidase), CAT(catalase), soluble protein content, and soluble sugar content of roots were increased first but then decreased with the increasing cadmium concentration. Under the condition of without Cd stress, the attapulgite clay into the growth substrate did not significantly affect above physiological indexes of leaves, but significantly increased SOD activity and soluble sugar content of roots and decreased the MDA content, damage degree of root apical membrane of roots, while other physiological indexes did not significantly change. Under cadmium stress, the presence of attapulgite clay in the growth substrate significantly alleviated the cadmium-induced decreases Y (Ⅱ), qP, ETR and chlorophyll content of leaves, and the CAT activity, soluble protein content, and soluble sugar content of roots. Under condition with cadmium stress, the presence of attapulgite clay significantly alleviated the cadmium-induced increases of leaves cadmium content, qN and NPQ, and the cadmium content, MDA content, plasma membrane permeability, damage degree of root apical membrane, SOD, POD, and APX activity of the roots. And, the alleviative effects of attapulgite clay on cadmium stress to A. membranaceus roots were more obvious with the increase of cadmium stress time. Aim: To investigate the effect of C-reactive protein (CRP) expression in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) complicated with vascular lesions and its clinical significance., Methods: 90 cases of T2DM patients were divided into vascular disease group (observation group, 45 cases) and non-vascular lesion group (control group, 45 cases), the CRP, FPG, HbAlc, TC, LDL-C and HDL-C levels of the two groups were measured, the blood pressure and BMI were recorded., Results: (1) The serum CRP concentration and blood pressure levels of the observation group were higher than the control group, compared with the difference was significant (P<0.05), and the FPG levels and HbAlc values of the two groups were no significantly difference (P>0.05). (2) The serum TG, Fins level and BMI of the observation group were higher than the control group, compared with the difference was significant (P<0.05), and the HDL-C and LDL-C levels of the two groups were no significantly difference., Conclusion: The serum CRP combine with the blood pressure, blood lipids, body weight and insulin indicators has important clinical significance for early diagnosis, prevention, treatment and prognosis of T2DM complication with vascular lesions.

Objective: To study the effect of Acanthopanax senticosus injection (ASI) on the activities of human tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and natural killer cell (NKC) in the patients with lung cancer and the underlying mechanism., Method: 73 cases with lung cancer were randomly divided into two groups, namely, the treatment group (n = 39) and observation group (n = 34); 61 cases with or without other diseases were respectively divided into control A (n = 30) and B (n = 31) groups. The patients in treatment group were injected with ASI for 21 days. The activities of human TNF and NKC and the levels of IgG, IgA and IgM were detected respectively., Result: After injection with ASI the activity of TNF-alpha in treatment group was comparable with that in the two control groups and was significant lower that that in observation group. The activity of TNF-beta and the levels of IgA, IgG and IgM were significantly higher than those in observation group and two control groups (P < 0.01). The activity of NKC was also remarkably higher than observation and two control groups., Conclusion: ASI can regulate the cellular immunity and factor, indicating that ASI can be used as an assistant drug to regulate the function of cellular immunity in the patients with lung cancer.

In this paper, the authors reported a new method for measuring transient time-dependent spectra using multi-fiber delay coupler and optical multi-channel analysis technique. The fiber delay coupler consists of five fibers with different lengths and its time-delay between two fibers is determined by the different fiber lengths. The light beams that came from the fiber coupler were coupled by a lens system into the slit of a spectrograph and formed a spectral pattern on the focus plane of the spectrometer. A two-dimensional CCD detector converted the optical pattern into an electrical pattern, and then the transient time-dependent spectra were obtained by a personal computer. The experimental setup was constructed, and the transient time-dependent spectra were measured for KCl crystal shocked by a high speed pill. The time resolution was 20 ns, and the spectral intensity resolution reached 1/18 bit.

A new kind of instrument and method for simultaneous and real-time collection of multi-object spectra by using multi-fiber coupling and Optical Multi-channel Analysis (OMA) was reported. The spectral signals of one object, three objects and five objects were collected successfully in experiments. The spatial resolution of 0.5 mm and detected spectral range of 200-1100 nm were reached, and at most twenty objects could be collected on the image plane of 1 cm2 area with OMA 4 system. The design of the coupling lens's light path was discussed to guarantee enough light energy to enter the instrument and little effect on the resolution of spectral instrument. The instrument can be applied widely to the areas of supervising and controlling the quality of light beam in transmission and in the time-resolved and spatial-resolved spectral measurement.
