Objective To investigate the risk factors for bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in twin preterm infants with a gestational age of <34 weeks, and to provide a basis for early identification of BPD in twin preterm infants in clinical practice. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed for the twin preterm infants with a gestational age of <34 weeks who were admitted to 22 hospitals nationwide from January 2018 to December 2020. According to their conditions, they were divided into group A (both twins had BPD), group B (only one twin had BPD), and group C (neither twin had BPD). The risk factors for BPD in twin preterm infants were analyzed. Further analysis was conducted on group B to investigate the postnatal risk factors for BPD within twins. Results A total of 904 pairs of twins with a gestational age of <34 weeks were included in this study. The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that compared with group C, birth weight discordance of >25% between the twins was an independent risk factor for BPD in one of the twins (OR=3.370, 95%CI: 1.500-7.568, P<0.05), and high gestational age at birth was a protective factor against BPD (P<0.05). The conditional logistic regression analysis of group B showed that small-for-gestational-age (SGA) birth was an independent risk factor for BPD in individual twins (OR=5.017, 95%CI: 1.040-24.190, P<0.05). In order to screen out the high-quality varieties suitable for being as the post-tobacco rice with machine transplanting in Ninghua County, 12 new hybrid rice varieties with the rice quality reaching the second level and above of the agricultural industry standard were introduced in 2022, and the screening test of high-quality varieties suitable for being as the post-tobacco rice with machine transplanting was carried out in Quanzheng Village, Quanshang Town, Ninghua County, Fujian Province. The results showed that: the four varieties of Changliangyou Fuxiangzhan, Quanyou 607, Weiliangyou Fuxiangzhan and Zhenliangyou Yuzhan had excellent field performance, good yield and strong stress resistance, which could be used as the varieties of post-tobacco rice with machine transplanting to further expand the demonstration application in this area. The population of Weiliangyou 7713 had good field performance, with high yield, strong disease resistance and drought-heat resistance, and had the resistance to rice planthoppers. However, the lodging resistance of this variety was general, so it could be planted in the fields where lodging was not easy to occur, so as to play its role in reducing the medication and increasing the yield and efficiency. Yuxiang Liangyou Fuxiangzhan had good comprehensive performance, with good rice quality, fragrance and high head milled rice rate. It could be used as a selected variety for the grain management entities to create the brands. Through the moderate scale cultivation, separate harvesting, drying, storage and processing, the high quality and good price of the variety could be achieved. To excavate the value of Aquilaria sinensis plantation, the characteristics and growth regulation of the bark fibers collected both from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province and Zhongshan, Guangdong Province were studied. Results showed that the phloem fibers from the cortex to the cambium gradually increased, and the septate fibers were obvious, the ends of bark fibers were tapering, and some fiber ends appeared lituate. The morphology variation of 0~25.0 mm branch bark fiber was regular and rhythmic. The stem fiber thickness of 10~340 cm were less regularity with the increase of tree height, the fiber length increased first and then decreased with the increase of tree height, the width decreased and length-width ratio increased with the raised height of the tree, while the morphology variation of the stem bark fibers did not show significant regularity with the increase of tree diameter. The characteristics of bark fiber of A. sinensis trunk were similar to highclass bark fibers of Pterocektis tatarinowii, while the length of bark fiber of branches was similar to that of Edgeworthia papyrifera, which belonged to soft and thin phloem fiber, the bark fiber of A. sinensis had a good morphology for pulping and papermaking. Resilience refers to the dynamic process of individual's positive adaptation to adversity, which is closely related to the symptoms of mental disorders and can be improved through intervention. This paper reviews the definition, evaluation method and intervention of resilience, and proposes that resilience can be used as an indicator of mental disorders related to stressor exposure, which has certain reference significance for improving individual resilience and promoting individual mental health development. Objective. To explore the reliability and validity of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Peritraumatic Distress Index (CPDI) in evaluating pandemic-related acute stress reaction. Methods. From 31 January 2020 to 29 February 2020, CPDI, Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), General Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) and Self-reporting Questionnaire-20 (SRQ-20) were measured in 253 outpatients, their family members and medical staff of our hospital. At the same time, leveraging the Siuvo Intelligent Psychological Assessment Platform, we presented QR codes of the CPDI questionnaire online openly, accessible to the participants nationwide, and received a total of 75 867 valid responses. Cronbach's α coefficient was used to evaluate the internal consistency. The correlation between CPDI and PHQ-9, GAD-7 and SRQ-20 was used to test the criterion validity. Exploratory factor analysis was used to detect the structural validity and the cut-off score of the questionnaire to screen the psychological symptoms associated with COVID-19 was also detected. Results. The Cronbach's α of the 15-item questionnaire was 0.932. The correlation coefficients between the 15-item CPDI and PHQ-9, GAD-7 and SRQ-20 were 0. 670, 0.699 and 0.711 respectively (all P=0.000). The exploratory factor analysis results contained 15 items and 4 factors, the factor load was 0.491-0.681, and the cumulative variance interpretation rate was 72.006%. In terms of cut-off score, it was identified as suspicious symptom by cut-off score of 10/11 points. The sensitivity and specificity were 0.822 and 0.811, respectively. The cut-off score to confirm the presence of symptoms was 14/15 points. The sensitivity and specificity were 0.815 and 0.824, respectively. Conclusion. To analyze the spatiotemporal distribution and clusters characteristics of human immunodeficiency virus( HIV)/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) patients in Rongchang District of Chongqing from 2014 to 2019, we provide reference for relevant departments to clarify the focus of AIDS prevention and control and rationally allocate medical and health resources. Methods Newly identified HIV/AIDS in Rongchang Area from 2014 to 2019 were selected from the National HIV/AIDS Comprehensive Information System. We inputted data into GeoDa 0.95i software for carry out spatial empirical bayesian smoothing and autocorrelation analysis, and into Satscan 9.3 software for statistical analysis of spatial scanning, and finally geographic information system was used for visualization. Results A total of 1 476 new cases of HIV/AIDS were reported in Rongchang District during 2014-2019. The proportion of cases over the aged≥50 years reported in each year ranged from 58.74% to 68.92%, and increased year by year (χ² trend = 4.524, P = 0.033). There was a positive spatial autocorrelation in the spatial distribution of the HIV/AIDS reporting rate for each year (Moran's I > 0, P <0.05). The areas with the most serious HIV/AIDS epidemics, including urban areas (Changyuan Street, Changzhou Street) and the neighboring Fenggao Street, Wanling Town, Zhisheng Town and other towns (streets) in the east were Rongchang AIDS-endemic areas, were identified with both the local Moran's I index and spatiotemporal scan statistics. Conclusion Geographical differences and spatial clustering were identified in HIV/AIDS cases in Rongchang District. For the further prevention and control of the hot-spot regions expanding, the government must strengthen monitoring of the migrating population in hotspots, and strengthen AIDS interventions for middle-aged and elderly people and low-fee sex workers, while further standardize the follow-up management of AIDS in medical institutions at all levels. In order to solve the problem of wheel boundary fracture in Canny edge detection of wood end face scanning image, this paper proposes a growth ring image boundary repair algorithm. The algorithm is realized by connecting and repairing two adjacent broken wheel boundary regions whose longitudinal axis distance is less than threshold t1, and the extension repair is carried out for other fracture wheel boundary areas. In order to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm, this paper uses C# programming language to implement the algorithm. In the experiment, the edge detection results of the end face all have fracture growth ring boundaries, and the growth rings of Cunninghamia lanceolata, Calocedrus formosana, Sequoia sempervirens and Ilex chinensis with growth rings of 21, 104, 235 and 14 are selected. The experimental results show that the algorithm can accurately repair the growth ring boundary of the fracture and prepare for the accurate growth ring number in the later stage. In spite of the increasing studies on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions mitigation technologies, there is still a lack of systematic indices for evaluation of their overall impacts in croplands. In this study, we collected all the indices relating to greenhouse gas emissions and analyzed each index following the principles of representativeness, objectivity, completeness, dominance and operability. Finally, we proposed evaluation indices for mitigation technologies based on the current situation of China. Crop yield per unit area was proposed as a constrained index, and greenhouse gas emissions intensity, defined as GHG emissions per unit of produced yield, was proposed as comprehensive index to evaluate the greenhouse effect of various croplands mitigation technologies. Calculation of GHG emissions intensity involved yield, change of soil organic carbon, direct N2O emissions, paddy CH4 emissions and direct and indirect emissions from inputs into croplands. It is easier to get trapped in the local optima in optimizing complex multimodal functions while slow convergence speed in solving unimodal functions using ABC algorithm. In order to overcome these shortcomings and improve the optimization performance, this paper introduced an improved ABC algorithm based on intersect mutation strategies. According to the IMABC algorithm, the whole bee colony could be divided into two sub-populations by introducing the parameter M. An intersect mutation operator could be applied to the individuals belong to different sub-populations and got a balance between local exploitation and global exploration among the populations avoiding premature convergence and enhancing convergence speed. The experiments test the performance improvement comparing the other improved ABC algorithm, such as, GABC, IABC, ABC/best. A sand culture pot experiment was conducted to study the eco-physiological responses of high-latitude transplanted mangrove Aegiceras corniculatum seedlings to varying concentration of NaCl (0, 100, 200, 300, and 400 mmol·L-1 ). Under the stress of 100 mmol NaCl·L-1, the seedling growth was slightly promoted; whereas at 300 mmol NaCl·L-1, the plant height, stem basal diameter, fresh and dry mass, and root/ shoot ratio were decreased significantly. High salt stress inhibited the leaf superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) activities, increased the leaf malondialdehyde (MDA) content, and decreased the leaf chlorophyll and carotenoids contents as well as the total soluble sugar and free amino acid contents in different organs. Under the stress of different concentration NaCl, the Na+ contents in leaf, stem, and root increased rapidly while the K+ contents had a relatively decrease, resulting in a rapid decrease of K+ / Na+ ratio and an imbalance between K+ and Na+ in A. corniculatum vegetative organs. When the NaCl concentration in the medium was higher than 300 mmol·L-1, the C and N metabolism of A. corniculatum vegetative organs was maladjusted, which inhibited the normal growth of the seedlings, resulting in a significant decrease in the plant height and fresh and dry mass. The static output feedback control problem is studied for a class of discrete-time switched linear systems with polytopic uncertainties subject to actuator saturations. Based on a parameter-dependent discontinuous switched Lyapunov function and some basic lemmas, a switched robust H-infinity static output-feedback controller is designed to guarantee the locally exponential stability of the resulting closed-loop system under average dwell-time switching scheme by using a convex optimization problem subject to linear matrix inequalities (LMI) constraints. PURPOSE: To evaluate the effectiveness of modified transoral radical curettage on treatment of huge mandibular mural ameloblastoma. METHODS: Eighteen patients with huge mandibular mural ameloblastoma were selected and followed up for 3 months to 5 years after modified transoral radical curettage. During regular revisit, clinical and radiological examinations of these patients were conducted and analyzed. RESULTS: Three months after operation, radiological imaging showed the cavity began to reduce and calcification could be detected in new born bone. From 6 months to 1 year postoperatively, all patients' appearance and function of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) improved greatly. The cavity diminished distinctly and new born bone accumulated with calcification. Image of cortical bone seemed normal. From 1 year to 1.5 years subsequently, facial contour returned to normal. A large number of trabecular bone was produced with full calcification, while the height of alveolar bone was deficient. From 3.5 to 5 years, the lesion shrank by a mean of 80%-90%. No recurrence happened for all 18 cases. CONCLUSIONS: Modified transoral radical curettage is an effective treatment for huge mandibular mural ameloblastoma, which can decrease the cystic volume significantly, promote new bone formation, enhance facial deformity, improve TMJ function, and keep the integrity of the mandible. Taking Ximen island of Yueqing bay, the biggest tidal range area among the coasts of China, as study site, an investigation was made on the survival rate, growth characteristics, and attached barnacles of 1- and 3-year old Kandelia candel seedlings at the elevations 1.96, 1.66, 1.35, and 1.03 m above the zero tidal level of Yellow Sea. Significant differences were observed in the survival rate and growth situation of the seedlings among the elevations. There were two barnacle species, Balanus albicostatus and Balanus amphitrite amphitrite, and B. albicostatus was the major species which attached K. candel most seriously at elevation 1.35 m. The critical tidal level for K. candel in the site was 1.66 m above the zero tidal level, i.e., at least 1.29 m higher than the local mean sea level, and the flooding time per tide cycle being less than 3.65 h. The leaching amount of soil water and nitrate from winter wheat field under typical planting system in Jinan City of Shandong Province was measured with lysimeter during the whole growth season in 2008, and the feasibility of applying DNDC model to estimate this leaching amount was tested by the obtained data. On the whole, DNDC model could better simulate the soil water movement in the crop field, with the accuracy being acceptable. However, there existed definite deviation in the simulation of nitrate leaching. The simulated value (18.35 kg N · hm-2) was 3.46 kg N · hm-2 higher than the observed value (14.89 kg N · hm-2), with a relative error of about 20%, which suggested that some related parameters were required to be further modified. The sensitivity test of DNDC model showed that cropland nitrate leaching was easily to be affected by irrigation and fertilization. By using SPAD-502 chlorophyll meter, LI-6400 portable photosynthesis system, and spectrophotometer, the leaf SPAD value, net photosynthetic rate ( Pn), and chlorophyll (a+b) content (Ct) of 3-year-old Machilus pauhoi and M. leptophylla seedlings were measured, and the relationships of SPAD value with Pn and Ct were analyzed. The M. pauhoi seedlings were grown from the seeds originated from Suichuan County of Jiangxi Province and Jian'ou County of Fujian Province, named as MPS and MPJ, respectively; while the M. leptophylla seedlings were grown from the seeds originated from Shangyou County of Jiangxi Province, named as MLG. There were significant differences in the mean chlorophyll content of MPS, MPJ, and MLG. The SPAD value and the conten ts of chlorophyll (a+b) (Ct), chlorophyll a (Ca) and chlorophyll b (Cb) we re in the order of MPS-1 , respectively. The chlorophyll content was influenced by the maturing degree of meso phyll tissues of M. pauhoi and M. leptophylla, being lower in current-year le aves than in 2-year-old leaves. The Ct of same age leaves at different c rown layers of MPS and MPJ and of MLG was in the order of upper layert, and a statistically not significant positive correlation with Pn. Based on the research of a chain fewer teeth planetary reducer, this paper analyzed the complicated influence of prolate coefficient κ ,the principal parameter of the prolate epicycloid planetary transmission, on equivalent curvature radius, pressure angle, arc replacing section, profile interfere, tooth depth, contact ratio and so on. It submitted the solution for the contour interfering in point N, defined the difference of the pressure angle α between theoretical profile and active profile, and discussed the type of error distribution of quasi circularity substitution. Based on these, it brought forward the optimum method for selection of main mechanism parameters, ascertained the procedure of replacing profile by arc. A method of gas chromatography mass spectrometry was established, which could accurately analysze the amount of benzene, toluene and ethyl benzene in the pyrolysis products of cigarette lap adhesive samples. The parameters of pyrolysis temperature, moisture, dryness temperature and dryness time were optimized. The results showed that the linear possessed good in the range of 2~500 µg/mL, the linear correlation coefficients were above 0.990 0, the limits of detection were from 0. 378 ng/mL to 0.996 ng/mL, the limits of quantification were from 1.26 ng/mL to 3.32 ng/mL. The method was suitable for determining the benzenes in cigarette lap adhesive samples. The determined concentration range of benzene was 138.7 ~188.4 mg/g, toluene was 44.0 ~75.2 mg/g and ethyl benzene was 3.0~19.1 mg/g in the pyrolysis products of cigarette lap adhesive samples. The high incidence of cardiovascular diseases is a serious threat to human health, and endovascular surgery has become the standard treatment for most interventional cardiovascular diseases. The robotassisted endovascular surgery system further enhances surgeons' ability to perform minimally invasive endovascular procedures in interventional cardiology. This study presents a new robotic technique for coronary intervention from the perspective of clinical application. Aiming at clinical application scenarios, this scheme proposed an intuitive guide wire catheter mechanism design, which accurately and perfectly simulates the doctor's hand movements, realizes the positive and negative direction translation of the guide wire catheter, accurate torque control of the guide wire rotation and locking. The results of animal test showed that the R-One TM has a high degree of dexterity, accuracy and stability,and meets the clinical needs.

A boy, aged 4 months, had the major clinical manifestations of prolonged jaundice and hepatomegaly. Multiple biochemical tests revealed abnormal liver function along with elevated alpha-fetoprotein and lactate. Genetic analysis confirmed that the boy had the mutations of c.589C>T(p.Gln197Ter) and c.687G>C(p.Trp229Cys) in the DGUOK gene, both of which were novel mutations and were determined to be pathogenic and likely pathogenic respectively, by a variety of bioinformatics tools and the ACMG standard. Therefore, the boy was confirmed to have DGUOK-related mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome. Literature review showed that onset of liver disease in infancy was the main clinical feature of this disease, and some children presented with nervous system manifestations. Abnormal laboratory results included abnormal liver function, increases in blood lactate, serum ferritin and alpha-fetoprotein, and hypoglycemia. Such children had marked heterogeneity of DGUOK gene mutations, with missense mutations as the most common type. This disease tended to have a poor prognosis, and 79.6% of the children died before the age of 3 years.

Objective: To compare the clinical effect between warming acupuncture combined with moxibustion at Yongquan (KI 1) and simple warming acupuncture for knee osteoarthritis with kidney-marrow deficiency., Methods: A total of 66 patients of knee osteoarthritis with kidney-marrow deficiency were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 33 cases in each one. Warming acupuncture was applied at Neixiyan (EX-LE 4), Dubi (ST 35), Zusanli (ST 36) and Xuanzhong (GB 39) on the affected side in both of the groups. In the observation group, mild moxibustion at bilateral Yongquan (KI 1) was adopted additionally. Each treatment lasted for 30 min, 3 times a week (once every other day), and the consecutive 6 weeks of treatment were required. The Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) score (such as joint pain, stiffness and physical function), the amount of joint effusion and the serum contents of interleukin-1β(IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) were observed before and after treatment in the two groups., Results: The total effective rate in the observation group was 93.3% (28/30), which was superior to 87.1% (27/30) in the control group ( P <0.05). Compared before treatment, the pain scores, stiffness scores, physical function scores, the amount of joint effusion and the contents of IL-1β, TNF-α and hs-CRP after treatment were significantly reduced in the two groups ( P <0.05), and the improvements of these indices in the observation group were superior to the control group ( P <0.05)., Conclusion: Warming acupuncture combined with moxibustion at Yongquan (KI 1) can improve joint function, reduce the amount of joint effusion and the contents of inflammatory response indices for knee osteoarthritis with kidney-marrow deficiency. The therapeutic effect of warming acupuncture combined with moxibustion at Yongquan (KI 1) is better than simple warming acupuncture.

Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy between acupuncture combined with cinesiotherapy cupping and acupuncture combined with conventional cupping for knee osteoarthritis (KOA) with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome, and to seek a better solution for KOA., Methods: A total of 78 patients of KOA with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 39 cases in each group (3 cases in the observation group and 2 cases in the control group lost contact). Both groups were treated with acupuncture at Neixiyan (EX-LE 4), Dubi (ST 35), Xuehai (SP 10), Liangqiu (ST 34), Heding (EX-LE 2), Zusanli (ST 36), Yinlingquan (SP 9), Yanglingquan (GB 34) and Xuanzhong (GB 39). Based on the acupuncture treatment, the control group was treated with conventional cupping. The No. 4 cupping glass was used for Xuehai (SP 10), Liangqiu (ST 34) and Fengshi (GB 31), while the No. 3 cupping glass was used for Yinlingquan (SP 9), while the cupping with appropriate size was used for ashi points; the cupping glass was retained for 5 min. Based on the acupuncture treatment, the observation group was treated with cinesiotherapy cupping. The selection of acupoint and cupping glass was identical as the control group. The patients were instructed to perform knee flexion-extension, hip abduction-adduction, weight-bearing and other active exercise while cupping; the treatment was given once a day, 10 times as a course of treatment; totally three courses were given with an interval of 2 days between the courses. The patient's symptom scores, pain scores and knee function scores were recorded before and after treatment. The amount of joint effusion was measured by ultrasound; the level of interleukin-1 (IL-1), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in joint effusion were measured by ELISA., Results: After treatment, the total effective rate in the observation group was 94.4% (34/36), which was significantly higher than 86.5% (32/37) in the control group ( P <0.05). Compared before treatment, the symptom scores, pain scores, amount of joint effusion and the levels of IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α in joint fluid in both groups all were decreased after treatment, whereas the knee function scores were increased ( P <0.05). Compared with the control group, the symptom scores, pain scores, and the levels of IL-1, TNF-α and the amount of joint effusion all were significantly decreased, whereas the knee function scores were increased in the observation group ( P <0.05). The level of IL-6 in joint effusion was not significantly different between the observation group and the control group ( P >0.05)., Conclusion: The acupuncture combined with cinesiotherapy cupping could alleviate pain, improve joint function and reduce joint effusion, which is superior to acupuncture combined with conventional cupping.

GM1 gangliosidosis is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by galactosidase beta1 (GLB1) gene variants which affect the activity of β-galactosidase (GLB). GLB dysfunction causes abnormalities in the degradation of GM1 and its accumulation in lysosome. This article reports the clinical and genetic features of a child with GM1 gangliosidosis. The girl, aged 2 years and 5 months, was referred to the hospital due to motor developmental regression for more than one year. Physical examination showed binocular deflection and horizontal nystagmus, but no abnormality was found on fundoscopy. The girl had increased muscular tone of the extremities, limitation of motion of the elbow, knee, and ankle joints, and hyperactive patellar tendon reflex. Blood biochemical examination showed a significant increase in aspartate aminotransferase. The 24-hour electroencephalographic monitoring detected frequent seizure attacks and diffuse θ wave activity, especially in the right hemisphere. Head magnetic resonance imaging showed thinner white matter in the periventricular region and diffuse high T2WI signal with unclear boundary. Three-dimensional reconstruction of white matter fiber tracts by diffusion tensor imaging showed smaller and thinner white matter fiber tracts, especially in the right hemisphere. Genetic analysis showed that the girl had compound heterozygous mutations of c.446C>T (p.Ser149Phe) and c.101T>C (p.Ile34Thr) in the GLB1 gene from her parents, among which c.101T>C (p.Ile34Thr) had not been reported in the literatures. The girl was finally diagnosed with GM1 gangliosidosis. Her conditions were not improved after antiepileptic treatment and rehabilitation training for 2 months.

Dubin-Johnson syndrome (DJS) is an autosomal recessive disorder resulting from biallelic mutations of ABCC2 gene, with long-term or intermittent conjugated hyperbilirubinemia being the main clinical manifestation. This paper aims to report the clinical features and ABCC2 genotypes of an infant with DJS. A 9.5-month-old male infant was referred to the hospital due to abnormal liver function discovered over 9 months. The major clinical presentation was prolonged jaundice since neonatal period. A series of biochemistry analysis revealed markedly elevated total bilirubin, conjugated bilirubin and total bile acids. The patient had been managed in different hospitals, but the therapeutic effects were unsatisfactory due to undetermined etiology. Physical examination revealed jaundiced skin and sclera, and a palpable liver 3 cm below the right subcostal margin with medium texture. The spleen was not enlarged. Genetic analysis revealed a splice-site variant c.3988-2A>T and a nonsense variant c.3825C>G (p.Y1275X) in the ABCC2 gene of the infant, which were inherited from his mother and father respectively. The former had not been previously reported. Then ursodeoxycholic acid and phenobarbital were given orally. Half a month later, as a result, his jaundice disappeared and the biochemistry indices improved. However, the long-term outcome needs to be observed. Literature review revealed that neonates/infants with DJS presented with cholestatic jaundice soon after birth as the major clinical feature, and the ABCC2 variants exhibited marked heterogeneity.

Progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis type II (PFIC-2) is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by biallelic variants of ABCB11 gene. This paper reports the clinical and laboratory features of a pediatric patient with PFIC-2. The patient was a 2.4-month-old male infant with jaundice and hepatomegaly as the main clinical manifestations. The serum levels of total bilirubin, direct bilirubin and total bile acids were increased, while the serum γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) level was normal. Next generation sequencing revealed two missense variants, c.1493T>C(p.Ile498Thr) and c.1502T>G(p.Val501Gly), in the ABCB11 gene of the patient, which were inherited from his father and mother, respectively. The latter was a novel variant which was predicted to be pathogenic by using a variety of bioinformatic tools, and the affected p.Val501 residue was highly conserved in 112 homologous peptides.

Objective: To compare the effect of different approaches of missing data replacement on the regression coefficient estimates r of "length of stay" on "hospital expenditure"., Methods: Data were extracted from the medical records of patients with head and neck neoplasms who were admitted to Sichuan Cancer Hospital. R 3.4.1 was used for generating and processing simulated datasets. Various scenarios were established by setting up different proportions of missing data and missing mechanisms using Monte Carlo method. Three strategies were tested for replacing missing data: Complete Case method,Expectation Maximization (EM),and Markov Chain Monte Carlo method (MCMC). The regression coefficient estimates r of standardized "length of stay" on standardized logarithmic "hospital expenditure" were calculated using these strategies and compared with that of the original complete dataset,in terms of their accuracy (magnitude of differences in r ) and precision (differences in the standard error of r )., Results: The three replacement methods were all acceptable (within the limit r c±0.5 s c ) when missing data were generated using MAR (2∶1) mechanism,or less than 30% data were simulated as missing using the MCAR and MAR (1∶2) mechanism. Sodium taurocholate cotransporting polypeptide (NTCP) deficiency is an inborn error of bile acid metabolism caused by mutations of SLC10A1 gene. This paper reports the clinical and genetic features of a patient with this disease. A 3.3-month-old male infant was referred to the hospital with the complaint of jaundiced skin and sclera over 3 months. Physical examination revealed moderate jaundice of the skin and sclera. The liver was palpable 3.5 cm below the right subcostal margin with a medium texture. Serum biochemistry analysis revealed markedly elevated bilirubin (predominantly direct bilirubin) and total bile acids (TBA), as well as decreased 25-OH-VitD level. On pathological analysis of the biopsied liver tissue, hepatocyte ballooning and cholestatic multinucleate giant cells were noted. The lobular architecture was distorted. Infiltration of inflammatory cells, predominantly lymphocytes, was seen in the portal tracts. In response to the anti-inflammatory and liver protective drugs as well as fat-soluble vitamins over 2 months, the bilirubin and transaminases levels were improved markedly while the TBA kept elevated. Because of persisting hypercholanemia on the follow-up, SLC10A1 gene analysis was performed at his age of 17.2 months. The child proved to be a homozygote of the reportedly pathogenic variant c.800C>T (p. Ser267Phe), while the parents were both carriers. NTCP deficiency was thus diagnosed. The infant was followed up until 34.3 months old. He developed well in terms of the anthropometric indices and neurobehavioral milestones. The jaundice disappeared completely. The liver size, texture and function indices all recovered. However, the hypercholanemia persisted, and the long-term outcome needs to be observed.

Low frequency sensorineural deafness is a common subtype of idiopathic sudden deafness. Certain patients suffered recurrent attacks without vertigo, much alike Meniere's disease. Few of them developed into definite Meniere's disease during long-term follow-up in many clinical studies. Although the pathophysiology of recurrent low frequency deafness is yet unknown, the desease is considered associated with early state of endolymphatic hydrops or migraine. Objective To observe the effect of Modified Dachengqi Decoction on recovery of gastrointestinal function after closure of protective ileostomy of rectal cancer. Methods Seventy pa- tients with rectal cancer, scheduled to receive protective ileostomy were enrolled and randomized into treatment group (35 cases) and control group (35 cases). The treatment group was subjected to ante-grade enema with Modified Dachengqi Decoction (500 mL) once a day before ileostomy, the therapeutic course was 2 weeks ,and the control group received ileostomy alone. The oral feeding time, anal exhaust time, ileus rate and length of hospital stay were observed. Results Compared with the control group, the oral feeding time(h,22 ±6 vs.41 ±8), anal exhaust time(h,27 ±5 vs.48 ±8), ileus rate(2. 85% vs. 14. 29%) and length of hospital stay ( d,5. 5 ± 1. 0 vs.7. 6 ± 1. 2) were decreased in the treatment group (P <0. 01 , P <0. 05).Conclusion Modified Dachengqi Decoction could promote the recovery of gastroin- testinal function after surgery in patients with rectal cancer.

Objective: To explore the preventive effects of Jiawei Yinchen Sini Decoction on the gene expression of Smad7 and Collagen,Ⅲ in mice with hepatic fibrosis., Methods: 48 male ICR mice were randomly divided into normal group, model group, colchicine group, JWYSN high dose group, medium dose group and low dose group, with 8 mice in each group. The hepatic fibrosis model was established by intraperitoneal injection of 30% CCl4( 1. 5 mg/kg, dissolved in olive oil). At the same time, the mice were treated with intragastric adminstration of drugs. After 14 days, the liver index was calculated; the levels of serum hyaluronic acid( HA) and laminin protein( LN) were detected by Enyme-linked immunosorbent assay; the pathological fibrosis change was observed by performing HE staining and was made a grading of hepatic fibrosis. mRNA expression of Smad7 and Collagen I, Ⅲ were detected by RT-q PCR analysis., Results: (1) Compared with model group, the liver index and levels of HA and LN in JWYSN medium dose group and low dose group were obviously decreased( P < 0. 05).( 2) The pathological results showed that, compared with model group, the hepatic fibrosis were significantly relief in different dose of JWYSN group( P < 0. 05).( 3) The expressions of Collagen Ⅰ mRNA in each treatment group were significantly lower than model group( P < 0. 05); In addition to JWYSN high dose group, the expressions of Smad7 mRNA in each treatment group increased significantly( P < 0. 05); In addition to JWYSN low dose group, the expression of CollagenⅢmRNA in each treatment group decreased significantly( P < 0. 05)., Conclusion: Jiawei Yinchen Sini decoction can up-regulate the expressions of Smad7 mRNA and inhibit expressions of mRNA and CollagenⅢmRNA in mice with hepatic fibrosis,thus attenuate the development of hepatic fibrosis.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between a blood pressure variability (BPV)-based scoring system (BPVSS) and the target organ damage in patients with hypertension., Methods: We selected 95 consecutive inpatients with essential hypertension admitted between January and June, 2015 in the Department of Cardiology of Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Command. The BPV indices were analyzed for their correlation with the parameters of target organ damage (IVSd, LVPWd, baPWV&#95;L/R, and IMT&#95;L/R). The patients with a BPVSS of 3.9 or higher (control, 43 cases) and those with a lower BPVSS (observation group, 52 cases) were compared for differences in IVSd, LVPWd, baPWV&#95;L/R, IMT&#95;L/R and the proportion of carotid plaques., Results: Similar with the traditional BPV indices, BPVSS was negatively correlated with IMT&#95;L/R (r=-0.278/-0.324, P<0.05). BPVSS was also negatively correlated with IVSd (r=-0.241), LVPWd (r=-0.223), and baPWV&#95;L/R (r=-0.468/-0.373) (P<0.05). IVSd, LVPWd, baPWV&#95;L/R and IMT&#95;L/R were all significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group (t=2.307, 2.516, 3.250/2.790, and 2.372/3.425, respectively; P<0.05). The proportion of carotid plaques in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (Χ(2)=27.833, P<0.001)., Conclusion: BPVSS indicates the severity of target organ damage in patients with hypertension. A greater BPV is correlated with a lower BPVSS score and more severe damages of the heart and blood vessels.

Objective: To investigate the effect of rapamycin on the proliferation of rat valvular interstitial cells in primary culture., Methods: The interstitial cells isolated from rat aortic valves were cultured and treated with rapamycin, and the cell growth and cell cycle changes were analyzed using MTT assay and flow cytometry, respectively. RT-PCR was used to detect mRNA expression levels of S6 and P70S6K in cells, and the protein expressions level of S6, P70S6K, P-S6, and P-P70S6K were detected using Western blotting., Results: Rat aortic valvular interstitial cells was isolated successfully. The rapamycin-treated cells showed a suppressed proliferative activity (P<0.05), but the cell cycle distribution remained unaffected. Rapamycin treatment resulted in significantly decreased S6 and P70S6K protein phosphorylation level in the cells (P<0.05)., Conclusion: The mechanism by which rapamycin inhibits the proliferation of valvular interstitial cells probably involves suppression of mTOR to lower S6 and P70S6K phosphorylation level but not direct regulation of the cell cycle.

Objective: To clarify the role of waist circumference (WC) in estimating organ damage and assessing the prognosis in young and middle-aged patients with cardiovascular disease undergoing cardiac rehabilitation program (CRP)., Methods: We recruited 147 young and middle-aged patients with cardiovascular disease to participate in the CRP for 4 or 5 weeks. The baseline clinical data and results of routine fasting blood test and ultrasonic cardiography were evaluated for these patients., Results: WC had a linear correlation with the indices reflecting cardiac structure alteration (LVSd and LVPWd) of the patients after CRP but showed a negative correlation with their HDL-C levels. The fasting blood glucose (FBG) and serum uric acid (UA) levels showed a positive correlation with WC before CRP but not after CRP., Conclusion: WC monitoring allows accurate assessment of organ damage in patients undergoing CRP after cardiovascular disease and has special value in evaluating the changes in cardiac structure and function.

Objective: To study the effects and potential mechanism of Kaixin-San and Danggui-Shaoyao-San on glucose and lipid metabolism in chronic stress rats fed with high-fat diet., Methods: 50 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group (distilled water), high-fat diet with chronic stress group (distilled water), melatonin group(20 mg/kg), Kaixin-San group (445 mg/kg) and Danggui-Shaoyao-San group (3360 mg/kg). All drugs were orally administered. In addition to the normal control group, each group of rats were fed with high-fat, diet. Simultaneously, stress were carried out after drugs administration 1 h daily. The duration was lasted for six weeks. The rat body weight daily was recorded, and the 24 h period urine was collected to detect the level of urine corticosterone (CORT) after three weeks. The level of plasma intraperitoneal glucose tolerance (IVGTT) was detected after six weeks. Finally, rats were executed, and serum fasting blood glucose (FBG), triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), insulin (INS), adrenocorticotropic hormone releasing hormone (CRH), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), CORT and melatonin ( MLT) were determined. The weight of adrenal gland, liver glycogen and muscle glycogen levels were detected. The adrenal gland index, Homeostasis Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR) and insulin sensitivity index( ISI) were calculated., Results: Compared with normal group, model rats body weight, IVGTT (120 min), plasm CORT were decreased significantly. Serum TG, TC, LDL-C and urine CORT after three weeks were increased significantly. Kaixin-San and Danggui- Shaoyao-San could regulate the above indexes., Conclusion: Kaixin-San and Danggui-Shaoyao-San may regulate the activity of HPA axis, and improve glucose and lipid metabolism disorder in model rats by increasing melatonin secretion.

Post-translational modifications (PTMs) are essential for regulating conformational changes, activities and functions of proteins, and are involved in almost all cellular pathways and processes. Identification of protein PTMs is the basis for understanding cellular and molecular mechanisms. In contrast with labor-intensive and time-consuming experiments, the PTM prediction using various bioinformatics approaches can provide accurate, convenient, and efficient strategies and generate valuable information for further experimental consideration. In this review, we summarize the current progresses made by Chineses bioinformaticians in the field of PTM Bioinformatics, including the design and improvement of computational algorithms for predicting PTM substrates and sites, design and maintenance of online and offline tools, establishment of PTM-related databases and resources, and bioinformatics analysis of PTM proteomics data. Through comparing similar studies in China and other countries, we demonstrate both advantages and limitations of current PTM bioinformatics as well as perspectives for future studies in China.

In spite of the increasing studies on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions mitigation technologies, there is still a lack of systematic indices for evaluation of their overall impacts in croplands. In this study, we collected all the indices relating to greenhouse gas emissions and analyzed each index following the principles of representativeness, objectivity, completeness, dominance and operability. Finally, we proposed evaluation indices for mitigation technologies based on the current situation of China. Crop yield per unit area was proposed as a constrained index, and greenhouse gas emissions intensity, defined as GHG emissions per unit of produced yield, was proposed as comprehensive index to evaluate the greenhouse effect of various croplands mitigation technologies. Calculation of GHG emissions intensity involved yield, change of soil organic carbon, direct N2O emissions, paddy CH4 emissions and direct and indirect emissions from inputs into croplands. By following these evaluation indices, the greenhouse effect of the technologies could be well evaluated, which could provide scientific basis for their further adoption.

Eu-Ag co-doped borate glasses were prepared by the high temperature solid method in the present work. Absorption and emission spectra were employed to investigate the precipitation of Ag nanoparticles, which is influenced by the network form B2O3 and the co-doped Eu ions. It was found in the absorption spectra of Eu-Ag co-doped sample that a broad band centered at about 410 nm emerged and their intensity decreased with the increase in the BZ 03 concentration. Meanwhile, under the excitation of 340 nm, a broad emission band was observed in the wavelength range of 350-600 nm, which belongs to the blue-green light of Ag aggregates. The intensity of the Ag aggregates presented an increasing tendency with the increase in the B2O3 contents. The weak characteristic emission of Ag aggregates and Eu3+ was observed respectively in their singly doped samples. It is concluded that both their emissions get significant enhancement when Eu ions and Ag ions are used for co-doping the sample. In addition, the increased absorption of Ag nanoparticles was detected with the increase in the Eu ions concentration. Herein, the mechanism behind Eu3+ contribution to the precipitation of Ag nanoparticles is discussed in detail. The luminescence properties of borate glasses can be controlled by the microstructure of the borate glasses. Therefore, the white emission can be realized by the adjustment of glass structure and Eu ions concentration, owing to the red light from Eu3+ : (5)D0-->(7)Fj electronic transition and the blue-green light form the broad emission of Ag aggregates. The borate glasses are expected to be the candidates for the light-emission diode (LED) luminescent materials.

Objectives: To investigate the regression pattern of mid and low rectal cancer treated with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy and then to provide the pathological proofs for reasonable resectional margin in rectal cancer surgery., Methods: Forty cases of mid and low rectal cancer patients received concurrent chemoradiotherapy and then underwent radical operation. The whole-mount serial sections of resected rectal cancer specimen were stained with cytokeratin antibody using immunohistochemical techniques to show the residual cancer cells under the mucosa. The microscopic measurement was performed to determine the reverse infiltration of cancer cells in the rectal wall and to describe the cancer cells scatter ways in the cancer mass. The Ki-67 immunohistochemical stain was also performed to show the proliferation activity of residual cancer cells after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy., Results: The length of specimen was shrinking continuously during the pathologic section production and the shrink rate was 18%. There were remanent cancer cells which showed positive Ki-67 expression and the chemoradiotherapy decreased the Ki-67 expression significantly. The lower edge of remaining ulcers or scars could be used as the reference point from which the cancer infiltration could be measured. According to our measurement, the average reverse infiltration of cancer cells in the whole-mount section was (6.1±4.7) mm, the deepest one was 11.0 mm in the section which could be converted into fresh bowel length of 12.98 mm. The pathology showed that the residual cancer cells scattered in the fibrous tissue of ulcers, scars and manifested a regression of spatial distribution., Conclusions: The rectal cancers show regression in different degrees after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. The residual cancer cells in the fiber tissues manifest proliferation activity. The distal end of resection should be at least 2 cm away from the lower edge of ulcers or scars of primary tumor in the rectal wall in patients after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. The circumferential resection margin should include all the fibrous scar of the tumor area to ensure the remove of tumor cells completely.

A series of electron capture materials Sr3SiO5 : Eu2+, RE3+ (RE = Nd3+, Ho3+, La3+) were prepared by high temperature solid state method. The photo-stimulated luminescence (PSL) and long afterglow performance were evaluated. After excited by UV light, it showed a strong up-conversion photo-stimulated read-out response when stimulated by 980 nm laser, which is attributed to the existence of deep traps (438 K). This property was especially shown in Sr3 SiO5 : Eu2+, La3+ and Sr3SiO5 : EU2+, Ho3+. Subsequently, the trapping depth and carrier concentration were studied. In this way, we verified the cause of PSL. The calculation of parameters of trapping electron in the thermoluminescence spectrum is through the method of Chen's half width, getting the value of trapping depth under the temperature of 438 K, which contrasts to the energy of 980 nm laser radiation. At the same time, the afterglow performance after co-doping with rare earth ion was greatly improved. The afterglow time of Sr3 SiO5 : Eu2+ , La3+ is up to 12 hours. Research results show that the change in mixed trap structure is the primary cause of photo-stimulated and long persistent luminescence properties.
