Visible Light Communication (VLC) has become an effective underwater communication technology due to its advantages such as fast transmission speed and strong confidentiality. When light propagates underwater, it is prone to scattering, resulting in a decrease in the energy of light propagation with the increase of transmission distance. Therefore, improving the responsiveness of the receiving end is the key technology to achieve underwater VLC. This article first designs a new holographic waveguide focusing system for the front end of the detector, which can effectively improve the signal-to-noise ratio of underwater detectors. Then, we construct a low-cost antimony sulfide thin film detector with weak light detection capability. Based on the built VLC system, the experimental results show that the dark current of the receiver detector is only 10-7 A/cm2, with a 3 dB bandwidth of 220 kHz, a response of 0.2 A/W, and an external quantum efficiency of over 70% in the blue green light band. Therefore, the new antimony sulfide thin film detector combined with a holographic waveguide focusing system can achieve weak light detection of visible light, making it a very effective underwater visible light receiving system.

Aluminum alloy is the preferred material for lightweight structure, and has broad application prospects in aerospace, transportation and ships. The additive manufacturing of aluminum alloy possesses outstanding advantages and potential on fabricating complicated three-dimensional precision structural parts. Furthermore, this method can be characterized by its high efficiency and excellent structural properties. With regard to the rapid development of the aluminum alloy additive manufacturing, the research status and latest achievements of aluminum alloy fabricated with additive manufacturing from the aspects of structure and performance, precision and quality, controlling of defects and numerical simulation, and the shortcomings of current research were summarized. Based on these, the key issues that will be focused were summarized at last, including realizing the control of the micro-structure, clarifying the forming mechanism of the stress, improving the forming accuracy, and studying the distribution law of the temperature field in the forming process.

The jacket offshore platform structures working in the environment are subjected to various external conditions, such as wave loads, wind loads and corrosion of sea water. Therefore, the research on reinforcement of tubular joints has great practical value for the safety of offshore platforms. In this article, the finite element (FE) models of T-type tubular joint (T-joint) and K-type tubular joint (K-joint) are established by ANSYS software. Triangular rib reinforcement and collar plate reinforcement are used to reinforce the tubular joints. The reinforcement effects are assessed through the ultimate bearing capacity, and the influences of parameters of the rib and the collar plate on the ultimate capacity are analyzed. Besides, the effects of the two reinforcement methods are compared under the combined loads, and the results show that the reinforcement of the ribbed plate is more effective in resisting the deformation caused by bending moment, while the reinforcement of the collar plate is more effective to avoid the plastic damage caused by the axial pressure. Objective To explore the association between DLL3 expression and chemosensitivity of advanced SCLC patients to cis-platinum/etoposide therapy, and to evaluate the prognostic value of DLL3. Methods We selected 64 patients diagnosed as stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ SCLC. Protein levels of DLL3 were examined by immunohistochemistry. χ2 test was used to analyze the relation between DLL3 expression and chemotherapy efficacy. Kaplan-Meier and Cox multivariate analysis were used to investigate the impacts of DLL3 and other factors on PFS and OS of advanced SCLC patients. Results DLL3 was detected in 84.1% (54/64) of the samples and not associated with gender, age, smoking history or stage (P > 0.05). The response rate(RR) and disease control rate in DLL3-high group were lower than those in DLL3-low group (P < 0.05); PFS of patients with low DLL3 expression were better than those with high DLL3 expression (P < 0.05). DLL3 expression, tumor stage and tumor diameter were independent prognostic factors for PFS, and tumor stage was an independent prognostic factor for OS of advanced SCLC patients. Conclusion DLL3 is related to the response rate of EP chemotherapy and PFS. It may become a biomarker for predicting chemosensitivity. DLL3 has no predictive value for long-term prognosis of patients with advanced SCLC.

To investigate the tribology properties of titanium alloy in static cooling condition, the friction and wear experiments of YG8/Ti6A14V were carried out on high speed friction anti wear test auxiliary device designed by ourselves. The experimental results showed that static cooling technology could effectively decrease the friction coefficient of YG8/Ti6A14V friction pair, restrain the wear of friction pair, and improve the worn surface quality of Ti6A14V. SEM observation indicated that in high speed friction, the main wear mechanism was adhesion wear and shedding accompanied with microcracks. Compared with that in dry condition, adhesion wear was less under static cooling condition. The turning test results demonstrated that the anti--friction effect of static cooling technology could effectively restrain tool wear and improve tool life. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To gain understanding of the compression capacity and failure mode of reinforced square tubular joints, two groups of square tubular joints with the brace-chord width ratio of β = 0.4 and β = 0.8, were reinforced with doubler plate or vertical inner plate and tested under monotonic loading. The failure modes, load-displacement curves, chord deformation and strain of the specimens were discussed, and bearing mechanism for the reinforced joints was proposed. Experimental results show both the reinforced and un-reinforced specimens have good ductility under brace compression. The compression capacity of doubler or vertical inner plate reinforced joints is significantly improved. For the reinforced joints of β = 0.4, the bearing mechanism and failure modes are the same as un-reinforced counterparts. However, over-reinforcement may occur for the reinforced joints of β = 0.8, which leads to the brace or chord failure before the joint. For the same width ratio β, the doubler plate reinforced joints are stronger than the vertical inner plate reinforced ones. In the case when the chord surface yielding controls, the doubler plate reinforces the joint by yielding together with the chord face, and the vertical inner plate reinforces the joint by increasing the yielding area of chord upper and lower flanges. This article focused on the significant public health issue of comorbidities in the elderly population and highlighted the important role of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the prevention and treatment of comorbidities in the elderly. It suggested that TCM should fully utilize its advantages in holistic perspective, syndrome differentiation and treatment, and preventive medicine in the process of preventing and treating comorbidities in the elderly. At the same time, in response to the significant shift in the disease spectrum of the elderly, the increasingly innovative concepts in diagnosis and treatment, the growing demand for proactive health by the el-derly population, and the current emphasis on patient-centered evaluation standards, it is necessary to further conduct basic theoretical and experimental research on comorbidities in the elderly using TCM, emphasize clinical research on comorbidities in the elderly, explore appropriate efficacy evaluation systems, improve TCM prevention and treatment strategies and comprehensive intervention programs for comorbidities in the elderly, and leverage the unique role of TCM in the rehabilitation of elderly comorbidity patients. By analyzing the potential of TCM in the field of comorbidities in the elderly, this article is expected to provide new insights for future clinical practice and scientific research.

Objective: To explore the potential related factors of falls and provide a reference plan for preventing falls for the middle-aged and elderly people., Methods: From November 2017 to July 2018, a total of 1 642 middle-aged and elderly people from 10 communities in Chaoyang District and Fengtai District of Beijing were interviewed by questionnaires. The contents of the questionnaire included the subjects basic information, life style, basic diseases and eating habits. The relationship between various factors and falls was preliminarily analyzed by t -test and Chi-square test. The possible influencing factors of falls in the surveyed population were further analyzed by Logistic regression., Results: A total of 1 540 subjectswere included, including, 415 men and 1 125 women. Their average age was(63.02±7.15) years. The incidence of falls in recent one year was 12.14%(187 / 1 540). According to Chi-square test, there was a statistically significant difference in bone mineral density, age, fracture history and other factors between the two groups ( P <0.05 ). According to Logistic regression analysis, age ( OR = 1.048, 95% CI =1.015-1.082), hips size ( OR =1.034, 95% CI =1.001-1.067), heavy drinking ( OR =29.422, 95% CI =5.226-189.378) may be a risk factor for falls. And edible eggs( OR =0.423, 95% CI =0.184-0.972), beef ( OR =0.064, 95% CI =0.006-0.634) and better muscle strength(OR=0.936, 95%CI=0.906-0.992) may be a protective factor for falls. In addition, suffering from diabetes( OR =1.461, 95% CI =1.006-2.213) may also increase the risk of falls in this population., Conclusion: For middle aged and elderly people, avoiding heavy drinking, eating more eggs, vegetables, and active strength exercise can effectively prevent falls. And people with family history of fracture and diabetes should pay more attention to the prevention of falls.

To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Shentong Zhuyu Decoction in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, in order to provide evidence for its clinical application. PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMbase, CNKI, WanFang, VIP, CBM and Clinical Trials.gov databases were sysmatically retrieved. Two researchers independently searched, screened and extracted data. Randomized controlled trials in line with the inclusion criteria were included in the study. The article quality was assessed with the bias risk tool in the Cochrane Handbook. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3. A total of 604 articles were obtained from the retrieval, and 824 patients in 9 studies were finally selected through screening. The course of treatment was about 1 month, and all of the studies were completed in China. Meta-analysis showed that the efficacy of Shentong Zhuyu Decoction in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation was better than that of the control group(RR=1.19, 95%CI[1.12, 1.26], P&lt;0.000 01), including the comparison with Yaotongning Capsules(RR=1.10, 95%CI[1.02, 1.19], P=0.01) and diclofenac sodium tablets(RR=1.26, 95%CI[1.11, 1.44], P=0.000 4). In VAS pain score, Shentong Zhuyu Decoction had also obvious advantages(MD=-3.70, 95%CI[-6.31,-1.09], P=0.005). In addition, the number of adverse events in the Shentong Zhuyu Decoction group was lower than that in the control group. Shentong Zhuyu Decoction can effectively alleviate discomfort symptoms of patients with LDH. It has an obvious clinical efficacy and less adverse reactions. However, restricted by the quality of the included literatures, prospective, multi-center, large-sample-size randomized controlled trials are still needed to further improve the clinical evidence of the effect of Shentong Zhuyu Decoction in the treatment of LDH.

Objective: To investigate the change of expression level of metastasis suppressor gene Kiss-1 in the colorectal cancer cell line SW480 after radiation, and to determine its association with the proliferation and apoptosis of SW480 cells., Methods: SW480 cells were divided into control group (0 Gy) and study groups (2, 4, 6, 8 Gy). Cells in the study groups were irradiated by 6-MV X-ray radiation for 48 hours. Immunohistochemistry and real-time PCR methods were used to investigate the influence of radiation on Kiss-1 gene expression of SW480. Colony formation assay was used to detect the proliferation of SW480. Flow cytometry-Annexin- V/PI assay was used to observe the change of the apoptosis rate., Results: Compared with the control group, Kiss-1 protein expression increased after radiation of 6, 8 Gy (P<0.05), but no significant changes were observed after radiation of 2, 4 Gy(P>0.05). Kiss-1 gene mRNA level increased after radiation of 2, 4, 6 Gy, while no obvious change was observed for 8 Gy radiation. The apoptosis rates increased for 4, 6, 8 Gy radiation(P<0.05), however, there was no significant difference for 2 Gy radiation (P<0.05)., Conclusion: Radiation may increase Kiss-1 gene expression in SW480 cells, which results in decreases proliferation and increases apoptosis in residual surviving cells.

In the present study, the differences in systemic vascular resistance (SVR) and the correlated risk factors between Han and Korean residents were investigated. 1 647 Hans and 876 Koreans from Mudanjiang and Hailin areas of Heilongjiang Province were examined with BIOZ Cardio Dynamics Monitor. A series of factors were determined, including SVR, systemic vascular resistance index (SVRI), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), mean arterial pressure (MAP), cardiac output (CO), cardiac output index (CI) and heart rate (HR). The data were analyzed with SPSS 15.0 statistic software. When SVR/SVRI were compared between Han and Korean populations by t-test, it was shown that statistic difference existed in the following age and gender groups: (1) For SVR: male 41-50, 51-60, and 61-70 (P<0.001), 31-40 (P<0.01), 19-30 (P<0.05) age groups; female 15-18, 31-40, 51-60 (P<0.001), 41-50 (P<0.01), and 61-70 (P<0.05) age groups; (2) For SVRI, male 41-50, 51-60 (P<0.05) age groups; female 10-14, 51-60 (P<0.001), 15-18, 31-40 (P<0.01), and 41-50 (P<0.05) age groups. Covariance analysis suggests that, excluding the contributions of gender, age and body mass index (BMI), the differences in SVR/SVRI between the two populations are still significant (P<0.001). Multiple linear regression analysis reveals that SVR difference between Han and Korean populations is attributed to MAP, DBP, CI, SBP, HR; While SVRI difference between two populations is attributed to MAP, DBP, SBP, CI, HR, strongly to weakly, respectively. These results suggest the higher SVR and SVRI are possibly correlated with the relatively higher blood pressure of Korean, compared with that of Han population.

Objective: To analyze the relationship between body fat mass and distribution and cardiovascular function in the adult females of Heilongjiang province., Methods: Based on the statistic variable random sampling principal, we selected 1903 healthy adult females with ages of 18 - 70 years old in Heilongjiang province to conduct the study. The height, body weight, waist, chest measurement and waist-hip ratio (WHR) were measured. Body components quota including fat weight, lean weight, percentage of body fat (PBF) were taken respectively; systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), heart rate (HR), cardiac output (CO), cardiac index (CI), stroke volume (SV), stroke index (SI), left cardiac work (LCW) and systemic vascular resistance (SVR) were determined., Results: The PBF and WHR increased with aging, and the PBF of those with ages of 18-, 30-, 40-, 50- and 60 - 70 year's old were (16.86 +/- 5.37)%, (18.43 +/- 4.89)%, (20.99 +/- 5.79)%, (23.47 +/- 5.74)% and (25.77 +/- 6.38)%, respectively (F = 154.46, P < 0.01); and the WHR were 0.77 +/- 0.05, 0.80 +/- 0.05, 0.83 +/- 0.05, 0.85 +/- 0.06 and 0.89 +/- 0.07, respectively (F = 229.84, P < 0.01). The HR, CO, CI, SBP, DBP and LCW were (75.45 +/- 0.35) bpm, (4.42 +/- 0.02) L/min, (2.78 +/- 0.01) L * min(-1) * m(-2), (114.94 +/- 0.40) mm Hg (1 mm Hg = 0.133 kPa), (64.90 +/- 0.28) mm Hg, (4.57 +/- 0.03) kg * m/m(2) respectively in normal PBF groups; whereas the HR, CO, CI, SBP, DBP and LCW in the PBF obesity groups were (77.42 +/- 0.88) bpm, (4.54 +/- 0.05) L/min, (2.88 +/- 0.03) L * min(-1) * m(-2), (120.55 +/- 1.00) mm Hg, (66.56 +/- 0.71) mm Hg and (4.86 +/- 0.07) kg * m/m(2), respectively, F values were 3.182, 9.173, 8.478, 13.497, 2.637, and 10.631, respectively (all P values < 0.05) after the adjustment of age, height and weight, PBF was positively correlated with HR, CO, CI, SI, SBP, DBP and LCW (r values were 0.06, 0.11, 0.10, 0.11 and 0.12, respectively, all P values < 0.05); WHR was positively correlated with CI, SI, SBP, DBP, LCW and SVR (r values were 0.14, 014, 0.19, 0.18, 0.10 and 0.12, respectively, all P values < 0.01) after the adjustment of age, height and weight., Conclusion: PBF augmentation and abdominal obesity in females can result in cardiac dysfunction such as cardiac overload, CO increasing and blood pressure rising.

Background and Objective: Caveolin-1 is a marker protein of caveolae which is related with oncogenesis as a signal transduction hinge. This study was to investigate the effect of Caveolin-1 on the growth and apoptosis of doxorubicin-resistant human breast carcinoma cell line Hs578T/Dox., Methods: Plasmids pCI-neo-caveolin-1 and pCI-neo-vector (control) were transfected into Hs578T/Dox cells, respectively. The expression of Caveolin-1 was detected by Western blot. Cell proliferation was detected by MTT assay. Cell cycle was detected by flow cytometry (FCM). Colony formation potential on soft agar was evaluated. Cell apoptosis was detected by FCM when cells were cultured for 48 h or cultured with staurosporine for 8 h., Results: Caveolin-1 was overexpressed in Hs578T/Dox-cav-1 cells. The proliferation of Hs578T/Dox-cav-1 cells was obviously promoted when compared with that of Hs578T/Dox-vector cells (P<0.01). Colony size was larger in Hs578T/Dox-cav-1 group than in Hs578T/Dox-vector group. More colonies were formed in Hs578T/Dox-cav-1 group as compare with those in Hs578T/Dox-vector group (983.6+/-75.0 vs. 700.8+/-78.9, P<0.01). The proportions of cells at S and G2/M phases were higher in Hs578T/Dox-cav-1 group than in Hs578T/Dox-vector group. The proliferation rate of Hs578T/Dox-cav-1 cells was also higher than that of Hs578T/Dox-vector cells [(76.6+/-4.0)% vs. (58.0+/-4.1)%]. Over-expressed Caveolin-1 significantly reduced apoptosis index when the cells were cultured for 48 h [(5.7+/-0.5)% vs. (11.3+/-0.8)%] or cultured with staurosporine for 8 h [(13.8+/-1.2)% vs (21.4+/-1.9)%]., Conclusion: Overexpression of Caveolin-1 protein may promote the growth and anti-apoptosis ability of Hs578T/Dox cells.

Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics,diagnosis and treatment of hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach., Methods: Clinical data of 13 hepatoid adenocarcinomas of the stomach, collected from 201 cases of gastric cancer, were analyzed retrospectively., Results: Of the 201 gastric carcinomas, there were 13 AFP-producing adenocarcinomas of the stomach, the positive rate was 6.5%. Morphologically, the tumor cells formed glandular, medullary and linear structures. Of the 13 hepatoid adenocarcinomas of the stomach, 10 cases were in gastric antrum and 10 cases were poorly differentiated. The metastasis rates of liver and lymph node in hepatoid adenocarcinoma of stomach were higher than those in non-hepatoid adenocarcinoma of stomach. The treatment of hepatoid adenocarcinoma of stomach depended mainly on radical resection, and adjuvant chemotherapy was needed.The prognosis of hepatoid adenocarcinoma of stomach was poor., Conclusion: Hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach has its own special tumor biological behavior and poor prognosis. Special attention should be paid to this disease.

Objective: To observe the effect of inhibition of serine/threonine kinase15 (STK15) gene expression on apoptosis induction in gastric cancer cell line-MKN45 and discuss the role of STK15 in viability of gastric cancer cells., Methods: The STK15 expression was inhibited by chemically synthesized siRNA. The STK15 mRNA and protein level were respectively measured by real-time quantitative PCR and western blotting,the change of cell cycle distribution and apoptosis rate were detected by flow-cytometry, cell morphological change was observed by Hoechst staining,and pro-caspase 3 level was also detected by western blot., Results: After treatment by siRNA targeting STK15 after 48 h, STK15 mRNA and protein level decreased obviously. More MKN45 cells accumulated at G(2)/M phase (P< 0.05). The apoptosis rate of STK15 siRNA treated MKN45 cells was higher than that of control cells(P< 0.05) with the pro-caspase 3 level decreased., Conclusions: Inhibition of STK15 gene expression may induce apoptosis in MKN45 cells through the pathway of caspase3. STK15 gene play a key role in proliferation and viability of MKN45 cells.

Objective: To analyze the distribution features of systemic vascular resistance (SVR) disorder in healthy subjects in Hebei province., Methods: SVR and systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), mean arterial pressure (MAP), pulse pressure (PP), heart rate (HR), cardiac output (CO), cardiac index (CI), stroke volume (SV), stroke index (SI), left ventricular ejection time (LVET), left cardiac work (LCW) and cardiovascular function were determined with Bioz. com Cardio Dynamics. Total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and influencing factor were tested by automated hematology analyzer in 999 healthy subjects living in Hebei province., Results: SVR disorder gradually increased with the ageing in healthy subjects and the prevalences of SVR disorders was higher among females than among males (P < 0.001). SVR was positively correlated with SBP, DBP, MAP, PP, LVET, body mass index (BMI), TC, and TG, and was inversely associated with HR, CO, CI, SV, SI, LCW, and arterial compliance (AC). CO and MAP were independent influencing factors with SVR., Conclusion: SVR disorder is associated with age, sex, and blood pressure in populations in Hebei province and may be a marker of vascular injury.

Objective: To observe the effect of polo-like kinase 1 (PLK1) gene depletion on mitosis phenotype and elucidate its vital role in gastric cancer cell line (MKN45) mitosis., Methods: The PLK1 expression in MKN45 cells was blocked by RNA interference (RNAi), the expression level of PLK1 mRNA and protein were measured by real-time quantitative PCR and Western blot, respectively. The morphological change of microtubules and mitosis phenotype in MKN45 cells were observed by immunofluorescence staining and laser confocal microscopy, the morphological changes of cells were observed by reverse microscopy, the variation of cell cycle distribution was detected by flow-cytometry., Results: After RNAi targeting PLK1, PLK1 mRNA and protein level decreased obviously, the cell microtubules became obscure and lost cohesiveness, the mitosis phenotype also varied substantially (P < 0.05), more gastric cancer cells became rounded and showed G(2) phase cell DNA content (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: PLK1 gene plays a key role in mitosis and its inhibition can lead to mitosis arrest in MKN45 cells.

Objective: To investigate the role of STK15 in regulating mitosis of gastric cancer cells (MKN45) by gene silencing through RNA interference mechanism., Methods: RNA interference technique was used to inhibit STK15 expression in MKN45 cells. The expression levels of STK15 mRNA and protein were measured by real-time quantitative RT-PCR and Western blot respectively and cell morphological changes were investigated by reverse microscopy. In addition, cell cycle distribution and cellular proliferation were determined by flow-cytometry and MTT assay respectively. Finally, the mitotic phenotype of MKN45 cells was studied by immunofluorescence staining and confocal microscopy., Results: Silencing of STK15 gene by RNA interference was confirmed by marked decrease of STK15 mRNA and protein levels in the treated MKN45 cells. This silencing correlated with rounding of the cells, decreasing of DNA content in G(2) phase (P < 0.05) and a lowered proliferation index (P < 0.05), along with alterations of mitotic phenotype of MKN45 (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: STK15 gene may play a key role in regulating cellular mitosis and its inhibition by RNA interference leading to mitosis arrest in MKN45 cells.

Objective: To observe the effect of polo like kinase 1 (plk1) gene depletion on the growth of gastric cancer cell line-MKN45 cells in vitro and vivo and discuss the feasibility and effectiveness of arranging plk1 as gene therapeutic target for gastric cancer., Methods: The plk1 expression of MKN45 cells was inhibited by RNA interference (RNAi). The plk1 mRNA and protein level were measured by real-time quantitative PCR and western blotting, and the change of cell cycle distribution and apoptosis rate were detected by flow-cytometry, and the MKN45 cells proliferation was measured by MTT method. MKN45 cells treated with plk1 siRNA were transplanted subcutaneously in nude mice and their tumorgenesis ability were observed, the plk1 protein levels of the samples from nude mice in different groups were compared., Results: After treatment with plk1 siRNA, plk1 mRNA and protein level decreased obviously in certain time, more MKN45 cells accumulated at G(2)/M (P < 0.05). Apoptosis rate of MKN45 cells treated with plk1 siRNA was higher than that of control cells at 48 h and 72 h (P < 0.05), and MKN45 cells proliferated slowly than control groups (P < 0.05), while the tumorgenesis ability obviously decreased, but the plk1 protein levels of the samples from nude mice in different groups were not different., Conclusions: siRNA targeting plk1 can inhibit the proliferation of MKN45 cells in vitro and vivo. Plk1 may be a novel therapeutic target for gastric cancer.
