The preparation of a new magnetic ionic polymer extractant (P507 @ PVIM @ Fe
3 O4 ) by copolymerization method using l-vinylimidazole( VIM) and chloropropyl modified magnetic nanoparticles as raw materials, and using for extraction of La3+ from rare-earth fluids was studied. The effects of P507 doping amount (V(P507)/m (Fe3 O4 )), initial aqueous phase pH, extractant dosage, extraction time and temperature on the extraction rate of La3+ were investigated. The results show that under the optimal extraction conditions of P507 @ PV1M @ Fe3 O4 , addition dosage of 0.5 g, temperature of 25 °C, extraction time of 15 min, initial aqueous phase pH of 2.5, and VCP507)/m(Fe3 O4 ) = 3.0 mL/1 g, the extraction rate of La3+ can reach 91.3%,and the extraction is excellent.
