Objective To strengthen the research capacity of professional Master students in clinical medicine,a new teaching mode of literature case presentation and discussion was tried in clinical epidemiology teaching and the teaching effectiveness was evaluated. Methods The professional Master students in clinical medicine of Peking Union Medical College who joined clinical epidemiology courses during 2019—2021 were selected as the research subjects(n=128). In 2019, the lecture-based teaching was adopted. In 2020 and 2021, a 4-hour literature case presentation and discussion class was added for the topic of “cohort study”. Feedback on the new teaching mode was collected through questionnaires from students taking the course in 2021. Results The average per-question score rate across all questions in the final examination for a student in 2020 was higher than that in 2019 (the median value was 84.7% vs 75.4%, P＜0.001). There was no statistical difference in the average per-question score rate across questions related to the cohort study topic for a student between the two years. Students′ score ratefor the case presentation and discussion in 2020 was positively correlated with the average per-question score rate for not only questions related to the cohort study topic but also all questions in the final examination(r=0.40, P＜0.01; r=0.31, P＜0.05). Among the students taking the course in 2021, 80% believed that they had achieved the knowledge-learning goal of this case discussion class. About 90% agreed that the teaching mode of literature case presentation and discussion was helpful in improving their ability in designing clinical research, reading literatures, presenting research work and carrying out team collaboration. All students were satisfied with this new teaching mode. Conclusions Conducting literature case presentation supplemented with discussion in clinical epidemiology teaching can help students better to Master clinical research methodology and enhance their comprehensive research capacity.

Cryptococcus is a dimorphic opportunistic pathogenic fungus. Cryptococcal infection mostly occurs in immunocompromised patients infected with HIV， organ transplantation， long-term use of cortisol hormone， chemotherapy， chronic leukemia and lymphoma， etc. Multi-system cryptococcal infection is rare in non-immunocompromised patients. In this article， one male adult case of Cryptococcus gattii meningitis complicated with Cryptococcus gattii pneumonia was reported. He had normal immune function and presented with meningitis as the initial manifestation and the respiratory system was involved. The patient underwent intrathecal injection + antifungal therapy via intravenous drip and ventriculoperitoneal shunt （VPS）. After corresponding interventions， he did not complain of fever， headache， cough， sputum and other discomforts. He received long-term oral intake of fluconazole + flucytosine after discharge， and was subject regular follow-up. The diagnosis and treatment of this case prompt that medical practitioners should consider the possibility that the population with normal immune function can also be infected with Cryptococcus in clinical practice. Both the nervous system and respiratory system can be infected. Besides conventional antifungal therapy via intravenous drip， intrathecal injection of antifungal drugs and VPS can also be considered in the treatment of Cryptococcal meningitis.

Various radionuclides emitting β-, α particles, auger electrons and conversion electrons have been applied in radiopharmaceuticals development and corresponding clinical evaluations. Among these applied radionuclides, lutetium-177 related radiopharmaceuticals have attracted tremendous interest from the scientific field. There were in total less than 20 publications throughout last century. However, there emerged nearly 1000 publications on 177Lu during the past ten years, indicating more efforts have been focus on 177Lu. This article will review the development of preclinical and clinical trials of 177Lu radiolabeled antibodies, peptides, nanoparticles as well as small molecules as therapeutical 177Lu radiopharmaceuticals dating to the recent two years. In the preclinical part, the targetting property, pharmacokinetics and biological property have been improved by drug design. In the clinical part, the reviewed radiopharmaceuticals displayed excellent safety, obvious inhibitory effect on tumor, obvious effects on prolonging the patient survival as well as improving the patients’ quality of life; qualified supplementary on the current clinical administration ways such as combined radionuclide therapy, chemo-immuno-radiotherapy, radiotheranostics and seperated administrations; supplementary on the human dosimetry data such as first-in-human dosimetry of gastrin-releasing peptide receptor antagonist ［177Lu］Lu-RM2.

Gastrin releasing peptide receptor (GRPR) is overexpressed in various tumors, and these GRPR-positive tumors have successfully and widely been targeted with GRPR antagonists. To achieve a good therapeutic effectiveness and less radioactive dosage administration, high cellular internalization is required. The cellular internalization of agonists is better than that of antagonists, but the severe side effects of agonists restrict their applications. In this study, we hypothesized that introducing membrane penetrating oligo-phenylene-ethynylene (OPE) to GRPR antagonist RM26 could increase the cellular internalization of antagonists. Therefore, two multi-functional compounds NOTA-OPE-1-RM26 and NOTA-OPE-2-RM26 were synthesized and labelled with 177Lu with high efficiency. The 177Lu labelled compounds 177Lu-NOTA-OPEs-RM26 were stable in saline, dulbecco’s modified eagle medium (DMEM) and newborn bovine serum. The in vitro experimental results indicated that the introduction of OPE-1 slightly increased the cellular internalization of the radiolabelled compounds while OPE-2 significantly increased the cellular internalization. In addition, the introduction of OPEs did not change the specific binding ability of RM26. The investigations indicated that introducing the OPE to increase the internalization was feasible.

The prediction of urban river water level is of great significance to the risk management of urban waterlogging. Traditional numerical simulation models have low computational efficiency and are unable to perform real-time calculations. In response to the above issues, this paper proposes a channel water level prediction model based on Gaussian function improved BP neural network, which solves the problems of low prediction accuracy and slow convergence speed in error flat areas of the BP neural network model. This method utilizes the Gaussian function to improve the gradient descent algorithm of the BP neural network, sets different learning rates for different weights and threshold values of the model, and optimizes each parameter accordingly, which can effectively accelerate the training efficiency of the BP neural network model. In response to the problem of slow convergence speed of the model in error flat areas, the paper uses the Gaussian function to increase the learning rate of the gradient descent algorithm in error flat areas, and to control the learning rate of the gradient descent algorithm when the error is serious, which can effectively accelerate the convergence speed of the BP neural network model in error flat areas. This paper takes 6 river water level measurement stations in Jin an District, Fuzhou City as the research object, constructs a GA-BP neural network river water level prediction model for urban river water level prediction, and explores the impact of different rainfall input forms on the accuracy of river water level prediction. The results show that the GA-BP neural network can effectively improve the convergence speed and model prediction accuracy of the BP neural network in error flat areas. The Nash Efficiency Coefficient (NSE) of the experimental set prediction is above 0.8, and the relative error of the predicted peak water level can be controlled within 5%. The input of rainfall in the form of hourly rainfall can increase the predicted NSE to over 0.9. Research has shown that using Gaussian function to improve the BP neural network model can effectively improve the prediction accuracy of the model, which is of great significance to improving urban river water level prediction. Objective To reduce radiotherapy complications of patients suffered from malignant tumor in head and neck.Methods Study group (247 cases of patients suffered from malignant tumoer in head and neck) were given the whole course intervention of dentist while doing radiotherapy, the incidence of the complication study group was investigated and compared with control group (213 cases).Results There was no difference between study group and control group in short-term complications. But for the long-term complications, the incidence in study group was considerably less than that of control group.Conclusion The whole course intervention of dentists can reduce the radiotherapy complications in head and neck effectively and improve the life quality.

Text similarity calculation is one of core tasks in natural language processing. Traditional text similarity calculation methods only consider structured features or semantic of the text. The lack of in-depth analysis of multiple text features leads to low performance. Therefore, a text similarity calculation method based on multiple related information interaction is proposed, which adds cosine correlation characteristics to the text embedding matrix. The self-attention mechanism is used to consider the text relevance of itself and word dependence. Further, the alternate co-attention mechanism is used to extract the se-mantic interaction information between texts, so deeper and richer text representations from different perspectives indicate obtained. The experimental results on two datasets show that the F1 values of the proposed method are 0.916 1 and 0.769 5 respectively, and indicate the proposed method outperforms the benchmark method. Fe3O4/aspergillus Niger were prepared by adding culturing media nanoparticles in Fe3O4, then the static adsorption experiment was carried out, Through a static test, different experimental parameters such as solution pH, temperature, dosing, adsorption time and initial concentration were examined to investigate their effects on adsorption of U(Ⅵ) by Fe3O4/Aspergillus niger. The results show that pH value can be the important factor for affecting U(Ⅵ). When solution pH=4, 25°C, dosing quantity 1 g/L, U(Ⅵ) of the initial concentration is 10 mg/L, the adsorption rate is as high as 98.89%, adsorption process is verging to be balanced after 15 h. The prepared composites were characterized by SEM, EDS and FTIR. SEM-EDS show that part of the hyphae surface was coated with tiny particles and the structure is the grid. Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of cyclophosphamide as a second-line drug in the treatment of children with anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) encephalitis. Methods Six children with anti-NMDAR encephalitis, who showed poor response to steroids and intravenous immunoglobulin, were given cyclophosphamide as a second-line immunotherapy. Follow-up was performed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of cyclophosphamide. Results After first-line immunotherapy for 1-4 weeks, the six patients had reduced psychiatric symptoms, seizures, and involuntary movements; three patients had an improved level of consciousness and were able to make simple conversations. However, all the patients still showed slow response, as well as cortical dysfunction symptoms such as aphasia, alexia, agraphia, acalculia, apraxia, and movement disorders. The six patients continued to receive cyclophosphamide as a sequential therapy. They were able to answer simple questions 7 days after treatment. Three school-aged patients were able to make simple calculation, had greatly improved reading and writing ability, and almost recovered self-care ability 2-3 weeks later. The cognitive function of the six patients was almost restored to the level before the onset of disease, and their living ability returned to normal 2-3 months later. During the treatment period, there were no adverse reactions or abnormal results of routine blood test and liver and kidney function tests. Conclusions Children with anti-NMDAR encephalitis should be given appropriate immunotherapy as soon as possible. Cyclophosphamide as a sequential therapy has good efficacy and safety. In queuing networks' two traffic assignment models' i. e. ' user equilibrium (UE) model referring to user optimum and system optimum (SO) model refening to overall cost minimization' are effentally competitive with each other which makes it impractical to implement simultaneously. In addition ' the dynamic a d stochastic characteristic of network trafic flow maes it diificult to be modeled by deterministic models. In order to solve these problems ' this paper proposed a game theory based trafic asignment algorithm. The algorithm modeled the competition between UE a d SO as a kind of game ' then used Stackelberg leader a d follower game theory to balance the benefits between UE and SO' and made trafic aasignment more feasible. Simulation compared the performance of UE and SO under this model and non-cooperative model. The results validate the feasibility of the proposed model ' and that comparing to deterministic model. HF communication had shortcomings that connectivity rate was low and easy to be intercepted and attacked during the process of transmission. This paper proposed a key pre-distribution scheme based on symmetric bivariate polynomial. The scheme adopted symmetric encryption technology to improve the efficiency of the encryption and decryption of the message. It adopted public key cryptography security system to increase complexity of the session key. It introduced hash function to sign the message to verify its security and integrity. It achieved 100% connectivity rate among nodes by clustering the nodes based on the regional division. This paper presented a decomposition method for constant speed continuous Petri net (CCPN) based on belonging of places, and it proved that the original CCPN could be obtained by the communion composition of the decomposed subnets. Also, it proved the relationship of the properties between the original CCPN net and the subnet systems. Finally, it verified the properties of the original CCPN could be analyzed by decomposing it to the subnets by a CCPN model. The results demonstrate the advantages of the proposed method. The powder modification technology was used to improve the powder properties and microstructure of Dioscoreae Rhizoma extract powder, thereby solving the problem of poor solubility of Dioscoreae Rhizoma formula granules. The influence of modifier dosage and grinding time on the solubility of Dioscoreae Rhizoma extract powder was investigated with the solubility as the evaluation index, and the optimal modification process was selected. The particle size, fluidity, specific surface area, and other powder properties of Dioscoreae Rhizoma extract powder before and after modification were compared. At the same time, the changes in the microstructure before and after modification was observed by scanning electron microscope, and the modification principle was explored by combining with multi-light scatterer. The results showed that after adding lactose for powder modification, the solubility of Dioscoreae Rhizoma extract powder was significantly improved. The volume of insoluble substance in the liquid of modified Dioscoreae Rhizoma extract powder obtained by the optimal modification process was reduced from 3.8 mL to 0 mL, and the particles obtained by dry granulation of the modified powder could be completely dissolved within 2 min after being exposed to water, without affecting the content of its indicator components adenosine and allantoin. After modification, the particle size of Dioscoreae Rhizoma extract powder decreased significantly, d_(0.9) decreased from(77.55±4.57) μm to(37.91±0.42) μm, the specific surface area and porosity increased, and the hydrophilicity improved. The main mechanism of improving the solubility of Dioscoreae Rhizoma formula granules was the destruction of the "coating membrane" structure on the surface of starch granules and the dispersion of water-soluble excipients. This study introduced powder modification technology to solve the solubility problem of Dioscoreae Rhizoma formula granules, which provided data support for the improvement of product quality and technical references for the improvement of solubility of other similar varieties.

Objective: To investigate the effect of Mycobacterium tuberculosis ( Mtb ) higBA on bacterial stress response and intracellular infection and immunity., Methods: The target gene amplified from Mtb H37Rv genome was cloned to the vector and then transferred to Mycobacterium smegmatis ( Ms ) to construct a recombinant strain. Stress response experiment and Raw264.7 mouse macrophage infection was carried out with Ms_higBA , the recombinant strain, and Ms_ vec , the vector strain. Tests were conducted to measure bacterial colony forming unit (CFU) and transcriptional levels of cytokines, including interleukin ( IL )-1β, IL -6, IL -10, IL -12 p 40, interferon ( IFN )- γ , tumor necrosis factor ( TNF )- α , and inducible nitric oxide synthase ( iNOS )., Results: The recombinant strain, Ms_higBA , was constructed successfully. According to the findings of the stress response experiment, higBA could indeed enhance bacterial survival under certain conditions of in vitro culture. Intracellular infection experiment demonstrated that higBA enhanced bacterial survival in macrophages and influenced the transcriptional level of cytokines., Conclusion: The higBA genes from Mtb play a role in bacterial stress response and intracellular infection and immunity., (Copyright© by Editorial Board of Journal of Sichuan University (Medical Sciences).)

In recent years, with the acceleration of population aging in China, the frequent occurrence of chronic diseases, and the increase in the number of sub-health groups, people began to seek ways to maintain health in line with the laws of nature. Healthy China has become a national strategy, and the Big Health industry has ushered in a golden period of development. In this context, the concept of medicine and food homology and edible medicinal substances which have guided Chinese people to pursue health since ancient times have ushered in significant and favorable development opportunities, and the industrial scale has gradually expanded. The development and utilization of edible medicinal plants have also become an important research direction. In the industrialization process of modern health care and edible medicinal products, a large number of drug residues are often abandoned due to ineffective utilization, resulting in a huge waste of resources and increasing the pressure on the ecological environment. Under the guidance of the homology theory of medicine and food, based on the recycling strategy of Chinese medicine resources, this paper analyzed the inherent common characteristics such as physical and chemical properties and biological activity of Chinese medicine residues of edible medicinal plants and put forward some suitable resource utilization strategies and suggestions in combination with the current situation of resource development and utilization of Chinese medicine residues of edible medicinal plants, in order to promote the high-value development and utilization of medicinal and edible resources, and extend the industrial chain of edible medicinal resources, thereby empowering Big Health industry and facilitating Healthy China.

As an effective antipyretic medicine,Indigo Naturalis has a long history of application in the field of Chinese medicine.The content of organics,mainly indigo and indirubin,is about 10%. However,the active ingredients and mechanism of its antipyretic effect have not yet been fully elucidated. In view of this,they were investigated in this study with the rectal temperature change as an indicator and 2,4-dinitrophenol-induced fever rats as subjects. The content of PGE2 and c AMP in the hypothalamus and the serum levels of TNF-α,IL-1β and IL-6 were determined by ELISA. Moreover,the plasma samples of fever rats were analyzed by metabonomics in combination with UPLC-Q-TOF-MS for the exploration of potential biomarkers and the discussion on the antipyretic mechanism of Indigo Naturalis and its active ingredients. The results showed that the rising trend of rectal temperature in rats was suppressed 0. 5 h after the treatment with Indigo Naturalis,organic matter,indigo or indirubin as compared with the rats of model group( P < 0. 05),among which Indigo Naturalis and organic matter had better antipyretic effect. ELISA results showed that organic matter and indigo can inhibit the expression of PGE2 and c AMP( P<0. 01),while Indigo Naturalis and organic matter were effective in curbing the increase in TNF-α( P<0. 05). A total of 21 endogenous metabolites were identified from the plasma samples of the Indigo Naturalis,organic matter,indigo and indirubin groups,which were mainly involved in glycerophospholipid metabolism.

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture on patients with stroke-related headache during convalescent and analyze its related factors., Methods: A total of 116 stroke-related headache patients admitted to the Acupuncture Department of Gongli Hospital of Pudong New Area, Shanghai, from October 2018 to December 2019 were divided into a treatment group and a control group according to a random number table, with 58 cases in each group. Patients in both groups were given conventional treatments for control of blood pressure, blood sugar, blood lipids and anticoagulation. At the same time, patients in the treatment group were treated with "nape seven needles" (acupuncture at Fengfu［GV16］, bilateral Fengchi［GB20］, bilateral Tianzhu［BL10］ and bilateral Wangu［GB12］)combined with penetration needling for 30 min; patients in the control group were treated with Flunarizine hydrochloride capsules (5 mg). Both interventions were conducted once daily for 4 weeks. The visual analogue scale(VAS) score and integrative sores of headache, and plasma serotonin (5-HT), dopamine (DA), substance P (SP), α-endorphin (α-EP), and β-endorphin (β-EP) levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. The total therapeutic effective rate of the two groups was calculated., Results: There was no significant difference in VAS score, headache score, plasma 5-HT, DA, SP, α-EP, β-EP levels between the two groups before treatment ( P >0.05). After treatment, both groups have significant decrease in the VAS score, integrative sores of headache, the plasma 5-HT, DA, SP levels ( P <0.05), and significant increase in the plasma α-EP and β-EP levels ( P <0.05). At the same time, the VAS score, integrative sores of headache, the plasma 5-HT, DA, SP levels of the treatment group were lower ( P <0.05), and the plasma α-EP and β-EP levels were higher ( P <0.05) than those in the control group. The total effective rate of the treatment group(51/58, 87.9%) was higher than that of the control group (42/58, 72.4%, P <0.05)., Conclusion: Acupuncture therapy can increase the release of endogenous opioid peptide, reduce the secretion of 5-HT, DA, SP, and have a significant effect in treating stroke related headache.

To elucidate the composition of semiochemicals of Apriona germari and its function in sexual communication, GC-MS was used to detect the composition of semiochemicals of the overall body and the end abdominal tissue extracts in A. germari . Y-tube olfactometer was used to determine the olfactory response of adult female and male to the standard compounds of the five main extracts. The contact reaction test with male and female adults was performed to the eluted adults that smeared tandard compounds. The results showed that the main ingredients of semiochemicals were alkanes and alkenes with more than 10 carbons. Concentration of (Z)-9-Tricosene was the highest, followed by heptacosane, nonacosane, nonadecene, octacosane, 9-Hexylheptadecane, aldehyde, and ester. Results of the olfactory reaction showed that nonacosane had a significant attractivity to both male and female adults, and that heptacosane had a significant attractivity only to female adults. Nonadecene had a extremely significant repellent activity to female adults. 1-docosene and (Z)-9-Tricosene had no evident role to the male and female adults. Results of the contact test showed that male adults had the strongest courtship responses to the eluted adults with 1-docosene, heptacosane and nonacosane. Female adults had the strongest courtship responses to the eluted adults with nonacosane. Our results indicated that 1-docosene, heptacosane, and nonacosane were important component of the sex pheromone of A. germari , which played an important role in the sexual communication.

Objective: To verify the secretory ability of the hypoxic response protein 1 (HRP1) encoded by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) Rv 2626 c ., Methods: The target gene attached with His tag was amplified from the genome of Mtb standard virulence strain H37Rv. The recombinant plasmid contained the above amplified product was constructed and electroporated into Mycobacterium smegmatis (Ms) (MC 2 155) to construct a recombinant strain. Protein expression was induced under heat condition, and the expression of protein from the culture filtrates and the bacterial lysates was detected afterward. The 10 kDa culture filtrate antigen (CFP-10) (Ms) and CFP-10 (Mtb) were used as positive controls, and the cytoplasmic protein heat shock protein 65 (GroEL2) (Mtb) was used as negative controls., Results: The HRP 1, GroEL 2 (Mtb), CFP -10 (Mtb) and CFP -10 (Ms) were successfully amplified by PCR from recombinant plasmid, and sequencing results of the recombinant plasmid is right, confirming the successful construction of the recombinant plasmid. The recombinant Ms was successfully constructed and it could express the proteins GroEL2 (Mtb), HRP1, CFP-10 (Mtb) and CFP-10 (Ms). The target protein HRP1 was detected in both of the lysate and the culture filtrate of the recombinant strain by Western blot, which was consistent with the positive control CFP-10. The negative control GroEL2 (Mtb) was only detected in the bacterial lysate, but not detected in the culture filtrate., Conclusion: The protein HRP1 encoded by Mtb Rv 2626 c can be secreted out of Ms by the secretion system of Ms. It may be a secreted protein and play an important role in the pathogenesis of Mtb., (Copyright© by Editorial Board of Journal of Sichuan University (Medical Science Edition).)

Objective To analyze the routine and functional magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) features and their potential pathological mechanisms of Hashimoto's encephalopathy(HE). Methods The clinical data and routine and functional MRI images of 30 HE patients who were treated in our center from January 2010 to April 2017 were retrospectively reviewed. Among them,15 patients were examined with contrast-enhanced MRI,16 with diffusion-weighed imaging(DWI),8 with magnetic resonance angiography,2 with magnetic resonance spectroscopy,and 1 with both arterial spin labeled perfusion imaging and diffusion tensor imaging. Seven patients had consecutive clinical and imaging data. The distribution,MRI signals,and functional MRI features of HE were analyzed. Results Among 30 HE patients,routine MRI showed negative results in 8 cases and abnormal findings in 22 cases. Among 22 abnormal cases,9 were characterized by small cerebral vascular disease and 13 had non-specific abnormalities;of these 13 cases,12 had lesions mainly located at the supratentorial white matter,11 had multiple lesions,and 2 had lesions complicated with cerebellum atrophy. The lesions were focal or confluent,punctate or small patchy,showing abnormal signal intensity with iso-or hypo-intensity on T1-weighed imaging,hyper-intensity on both T2-weighed imaging and fluid-attenuated inversion recovery. Most of the lesions had no enhancement(12/15). Among 7 cases with abnormalities on DWI,hyper-intensity on DWI and hypo-intensity on apparent diffusion coefficient were seen in 3 sudden acute cases and hyper-intensity on DWI and increased apparent diffusion coefficient value in 4 sub-acute or slow onset cases. Three cases showed localized intracranial artery stenosis. In 2 cases,magnetic resonance spectroscopy revealed significant lower N-acetylaspartate peak,higher choline peak,and visible lactate peak or lipid peak. Of 7 cases with follow-up data,3 cases had no change,4 cases had changes including softening lesions(2/4),remitted and relapsed lesions(1/4),and rapid progression of brain atrophy with negative finding on the initial MRI(1/4). Conclusion Routine MRI combined with functional imaging can show the features of HE from different perspectives. Routine MRI shows multifocal or confluent lesions in the white matter,mostly without enhancement,while functional imaging may reveal pathological characteristics of different phases of acute or chronic ischemia and demyelinating changes of HE. Combined with clinical data,MRI can differentiate HE from other diseases based on routine and functional MRI appearances.

Objective: To evaluate the early clinical effects of suture anchor fixation for the treatment of avulsion fracture of tibial intercondylar eminence under arthroscopy., Methods: From July 2012 to January 2015, 22 patients with the avulsion fracture of tibial intercondylar eminence were treated with arthroscopic suture anchor fixation. There were 12 males and 10 females, with an average age of 22.8 years old(ranged, 18 to 33 years old). Nine patients had the fractures in the right knee and 13 patients had the fractures in the left knee. The mean duration from injury to surgery was 6.8 days(ranged, 3 to 11 days). According to the improved Meyers-McKeever classification, 13 cases were type II, 7 cases were type III, and 2 cases were type IV. The clinical outcomes were evaluated by the range of motion, the Lysholm score, the IKDC 2000 subjective knee score, the axial shift test, and the anterior drawer test., Results: All the incisions healed by first intention, and no complications occurred. All the patients were followed up, and the mean duration was 32.8 months (ranged, 18 to 42 months). The knee range of motion was improved from preoperative (49.37±7.69) ° to (126.38±5.58) °at the latest follow-up( P <0.01). Lysholm score was improved from preoperative 43.4±5.6 to 79.2±6.2 at the latest follow-up( P <0.01). And the IKDC 2000 score was improved from preoperative 52.6±6.2 to 81.4±5.7 at the latest follow-up( P <0.01). At the latest follow-up, the patient underwent physical examination. One patient had a positive result of axial shift test at the 18th month after operation with grade II laxity of anterior cruciate ligament. One patient had a weakly positive result of anterior drawer test at the 24th month after operation., Conclusions: Absorbable suture anchor fixation for the treatment of avulsion fracture of tibial intercondylar eminence under arthroscopy can provide accurate reduction and stable fixation, which can be applied to treat all types of fractures including comminuted fracture, and it is not necessary to remove the implant in the second operation., Competing Interests: The authors of this article and the planning committee members and staff have no relevant financial relationships with commercial interests to disclose.

Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. 'Xinchun 4') was used to explore the relationship between nitric oxide (NO) and calcium (Ca 2+ ) during adventitious rooting under drought stress. Rooting parameters, endogenous Ca 2+ fluorescent intensity and the antioxidant enzymes activity (SOD, CAT and APX) in cucumber explants under drought stress were investigated. The results showed that treatment with 200 μmol·L -1 CaCl 2 and 0.05% PEG significantly improved the number and length of adventitious root in cucumber explants under drought stress, while the application of Ca 2+ chelating agent (EGTA) and channel inhibitor (BAPTA/AM) significantly decreased NO-induced number and length of adventitious root under drought stress. Under drought stress, the fluorescence intensity of Ca 2+ in hypocotyls treated with NO and CaCl 2 was improved, however, the Ca 2+ fluorescence intensity in the hypocotyls treated with NO scavenger (cPTIO) was significantly lower than that in the hypocotyls treated with NO. Under drought stress, the activities of antioxidant enzymes in the cucumber explants were significantly promoted by the treatments with NO and CaCl 2 , however, Ca 2+ chelating agent and channel inhibitor significantly decreased the activity of antioxidant enzymes induced by NO. In conclusion, Ca 2+ might be involved in the process of NO-adjusted antioxidant enzymes activity during adventitious rooting under drought stress, which alleviated the negative effects of drought on the adventitious rooting and promoted the formation of adventitious roots.

Objective: To evaluate the early clinical effects of treating the avulsed fracture of humerus greater tuberosity using the double-row suture anchor fixation technique., Methods: Total 20 patients with the avulsed fracture of the greater tuberosity of the humerus were treated from September 2009 to January 2013. There were 12 males and 7 females, with an average age of 46.8 years old(24 to 69 years old). Eleven patients had injuries on right shoulder joint and 8 patients had injuries on left side. The injury mechanism included 10 cases of traffic accident, 6 cases of sports injury, and 3 cases of falls. The mean interval from injury to surgery was 34.9 d (ranged, 3 to 72 d). The affacted arm was suspended and fixed within 3 weeks after operation. The swing exercise of shoulder joint was performed from the 2nd day after operation. The strap was removed 3 weeks after operation, and painless active exercise was performed 6 weeks after operation. The patients were followed up in the outpatient department 6, 12 and 24 weeks after operation, and then every 6 months. AP and lateral X-ray films were taken at each follow-up time. At the latest follow-up, protractor was used to measure activity of patients; and VAS pain score, California University of Losangeles(UCLA) standard, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) score were used to evaluate therapeutic effects., Results: All the patients were followed up, with a mean duration of 35.2 months (ranged, 24 to 48 months). All the incisions were healed on the first stage without secondary acromion impingement and other complications. All the patients had bony union within 12 weeks. The movements of shoulder joints including flexion, abduction, external rotation, internal rotation were increased obviously( P <0.05). The UCLA score was increased from preoperative 15.2±5.3 to 35.6±6.1 at the latest follow-up. The ASES score was increased from preoperative 31.2±5.4 to 91.2±6.8 at the latest follow-up ( P <0.05)., Conclusions: It has satisfactory curative effects for the avulsed fracture of humerus greater tuberosity using the double-row suture anchor fixation technique, especially the cases of small or comminuted fractures. It has several advantages such as firm fixation, simple and secure operation as well as quick postoperative recovery. Objective: To explore the effects of the shock wave on the capacity of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) to proliferate and differentiate into osteoblasts., Methods: MSCs were isolated from the bone marrow of healthy donors. The human bone marrow MSCs(BM-MSCs) were divided into 3 groups including blank control group,osteoinduced group and shock wave group. The MSCs in blank control group were cultured with common mediam; the MSCs in osteoinduced group were treated with osteogenic agents and cultured; the MSCs in shock wave group were cultured with common medium and stimulated by shock wave. The morphology of MSCs in each groups were observed by micoscopy; the CCK-8 was used to detect the proliferation ability of MSCs; the alkaline phosphatase staining and von Kossa staining were used to evaluale the differentiation potential of MSCs in each groups., Results: The results of CCK-8 revealed the shock wave could promote cell proliferation as compared with blank control group. The results of alkaline phosphatase and Von Kossa staining showed that the shock wave displayed a stronger ability to promote the human BMMSC differentiation into osteoblasts cells in comparison with the osteoinduced group. The blank control group was weakly positively stainined., Conclusion: The shock wave treatment can promote proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells.

To prepare tanshinone ⅡA loaded nanostructured lipid carrier (Tan ⅡA-NLC), and study its in vitro transdermal permeation characteristics. The Tan ⅡA-NLC was prepared by high pressure homogenization technology and optimized by Box-Behnken design-response surface method, and it was characterized in terms of morphology, particle size, zeta potention, et al. The transdermal permeation of Tan ⅡA-NLC was evaluated by using Franz diffusion cells. The results showed that, the optimal formulation was as follows: drug/lipid materials ratio 88, GMS/MCT ratio 2, emulsifier concentration 1%, average particle size (182±14) nm, polydispersity index PDI (0.190 6±0.024 5), zeta potential (－27.8± 5.4) mV, encapsulation efficiency EE (86.44%±9.26%) and drug loading DL (0.98%±0.18%), respectively. The in vitro transdermal permeation results showed that as compared with Tan ⅡA solution, Tan ⅡA-NLC had lower transdermal permeation amount after applying drug for 24 h, but its retention in the epidermis was 3.18 times that of solution. Bronchial asthma is a heterogeneous disease that is characterized by airway hyperresponsiveness and chronic inflammation. It is often accompanied by reversible airflow obstruction. Current laboratory testing methods for the diagnosis of asthma in children mainly include lung ventilation function test. Due to the non-cooperation of children, it is very challenging to conduct lung ventilation function test for preschoolers. Lung function testing is an instantaneous indicator, which is influenced by the children's understanding ability and mental factors. In addition, it could not assess the severity of airway inflammation. Fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) is a noninvasive, simple, and objective indicator of airway inflammation and has gradually gained increased use in children in recent years. This review article introduces the source of FeNO, the reference value of FeNO in laboratory testing, and the progress in the application of FeNO in the diagnosis, prediction, and treatment of asthma in children of various ages.

Objective: To study the clinical efficacy of nasal synchronous intermittent mandatory ventilation (nSIMV) in premature infants with severe respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) after extubation., Methods: A retrospective analysis on the clinical date of 126 premature infants with severe RDS who were hospitalized in the NICU between January 2013 and May 2015 was performed. Sixty-one premature infants who were hospitalized in the NICU between January 2013 and March 2014 received nasal continuous positive airway pressure (nCPAP) (nCPAP group) and 65 premature infants who were hospitalized in the NICU between April 2014 and May 2015 received nSIMV (nSIMV group). The blood gas analysis indexes, the rate of extubation failure, the causes of extubation failure and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups., Results: After 4 hours of treatment, the pH value, PaO2, SaO2 and oxygenation index in the nSIMV group were significantly higher than in the nCPAP group (P<0.05), meanwhile, the PaCO2 in the nSIMV group were significantly lower than in the nCPAP group (P<0.05). The rates of extubation failure in the nSIMV and nCPAP groups were 9% (6/65) and 30% (18/61) respectively (P<0.05). The extubation failure in the nSIMV and nCPAP groups was caused by hyoxemia (2% vs 5%; P>0.05), hypercapnia (6% vs 11%; P>0.05) and apnea (2% vs 13%; P<0.05). There were no differences in respirator support time, full enteral feeding time, the time to regain birth weight and the length of hospitalization between two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the incidence of abdominal distension in the nSIMV group was significantly lower than in the nCPAP group (9% vs 30%; P<0.05) and there were no differences in the incidences of feeding intolerance, necrotizing enterocolitis, intraventricular hemorrhage, retinopathy of prematurity and bronchopulmonory dysplasia between the two groups., Conclusions: nSIMV for premature infants with severe RDS after extubation not only significantly improves lung function and reduces the rate of extubation failure, also results in a lower incidence of gastrointestinal side effects and does not increase the incidence of complications.

To establish a method for detecting microdialysis recovery of tetramethylpyrazine (TMP) and ferulic acid (FA) and investigating the influencing factors, providing the basis for further in vivo microdialysis experiments. The concentration of FA and TMP in dialysates were determined by high pressure liquid chromatography ( HPLC) and probe recovery were calculated respectively. The influence of the flow rates, medium concentration, temperature and in vivo probe stability on the recovery of FA and TMP were investigated by using concentration difference method (incremental method and decrement method). The recovery obtained by incremental method were similar to by decrement method. The in vitro recovery rate of FA and TMP decreased with the increase of 1-2.5 μL min(-1), and increased obviously with the temperature of 25-42 degrees C under the same conditions. The concentration of FA and TMP had no obvious effect on the probe recovery under the same flow rate. In addition, the recovery of TMP and FA remained stable and showed similar trends under the condition of four concentration cycles, indicating that the intra day reproducibility of the concentration difference method was good. The recovery of brain microdialysis probes in vivo 8 h maintained a relatively stable, but certain differences existed between different brain microdialysis probes, demonstrating that each probe was required for recovery correction in vivo experiment. Microdialysis sampling can be used for the local brain pharmacokinetic study of FA and TMP, and retrodialysis method can be used in probe recovery of FA and TMP in vivo.

Objective: To understand the positive rates of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and surface antibody (anti-HBs) among adults aged ≥18 years in communities in Chaoyang district, Beijing., Methods: HBsAg and anti-HBs were tested with ELISA reagents for participants in the Community Diagnosis Survey (3 000 person were sampled in each community according to the age and sex distribution of the residents) in all 42 communities in Chaoyang district by Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Chaoyang CDC. The data of 35 communities in which at least 1 000 adults were tested were analyzed., Results: A total of 78 100 adults were tested for HBsAg and anti-HBs in the 35 communities. The crude positive rate of HBsAg was 2.24% (95% CI: 2.13%-2.34%). The highest age-specific HBsAg positive rate was 3.00% (95% CI: 2.56%-3.44%) for those aged 40-44 years and the lowest age-specific HBsAg positive rate was 1.69% (95% CI: 1.29%-2.09%) for those aged 18-24 years, respectively. A obvious difference in community- based HBsAg positive rate was founded with the highest of 10.68% (95% CI: 9.43%-11.94%) and lowest of 0.24% (95% CI: 0.13%-0.38%). HBsAg positive rate was significantly lower in local residents than in participants with household registered in other provinces (1.97% vs. 2.98%, P<0.01), but the sex specific difference in HBsAg positive rate was relatively smaller (2.45% in males and 2.07% in females, P<0.01). The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age, community, occupation, residence status and sex were all associated with positive rate of HBsAg (P<0.01). The overall positive rate of anti-HBs was 30.85% (95% CI: 30.53%-31.18%), and the highest was 38.10% in age group 18-24 years (95% CI: 36.58%-39.61%) and the lowest was 28.88% in age group 75- years (95% CI: 27.62%-30.15%), respectively. Up to 67.02% of the subjects were both HBsAg and anti-HBs negative (95% CI: 66.69%-67.35%), and the age specific difference was not significant. But significant differences in anti-HBs positive rate and the negative rate of both HBsAg and anti-HBs were found across communities., Conclusion: The overall positive rate of HBsAg was at a moderate low level among adults in Chaoyang, but the age specific positive rate was high in the middle-aged and the population specific positive rate was high in participants with household registered in other provinces, therefore, the prevention and control of hepatitis B in Chaoyang should be focused on the middle aged people and participants with household registered in other provinces. The community specific differences in the positive rate of HBsAg and anti-HBs across communities need to be further studied.

Objective: To investigate the effect of everolimus(RAD001)combined with all-trans retinoid acid(ATRA) on drug resistance of ATRA-resistance acute promyelocytic leukemia(APL) cell line NB4-R1 and its molecular mechanism., Methods: APL NB4-R1 cells were treated with different concentrations of RAD001(1 nmol/L, 10 nmol/L and 100 nmol/L) with ATRA(1μmol/L) for 24, 48 and 72 h, respectively. The differentiation of NB4-R1 cells was analyzed by flow cytometry with CD11b staining and nitro blue tetrozolium(NBT) reduction test. Cell cycle was detected by cell cycle staining kit and apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry with Annexin V/PI staining. Protein expressions of LC-3II, PML-RARα, P-P70S6K and P-4E-BP1 were determined by Western blotting., Results: RAD001 combined with ATRA significantly induced NB4-R1 cells differentiation, but RAD001 or ATRA alone did not enhance NB4-R1 differentiation. The co-treatment induced accumulation of cells in G1 phase and decreased the proportion of cells in S phase. The combined treatment had no effect on cell apoptosis. The differentiation rate of NB4-R1 cells in 100 nmol/L RAD001, 1μmol/L ATRA, RAD001 combined with ATRA and control groups was(2.29±0.57)%,(17.06±2.65)%,(54.47±4.91)% and(2.54±0.53)%, respectively; the proportion of cells in G1 phase was(35.20±11.97)%,(33.54±6.25)%,(53.70±8.73)% and(27.40±6.01)%, respectively; cells apoptosis rate was(2.30±0.14)%,(2.25±0.21)%,(2.40±0.28)% and(1.95±0.07)%, respectively. The combination of RAD001 with ATRA significantly inhibited mTOR signaling downstream proteins P-P70S6K, P-4E-BP1 and enhanced autophagy-related protein LC3-II and Beclin 1. The co-treatment also induced degradation of fusion protein PML-RARα., Conclusion: RAD001 combined with ATRA can induce cell differentiation, inhibit cell cycle, resulting the reverse of drug resistance in NB4-R1 cells, which is associated with increase of autophagy level and degradation of PML-RARα.

A modified procedure of Percoll density gradient centrifugation was developed to isolate and fractionate synchronous cells from stationary phase (sp) cultures of different yeast strains, as well as Raman spectra discrimination of single yeast cells was reported. About 1.75 mL Percoll solution in 2 mL polypropylene centrifugal tube was centrifuged at 19,320 g, 20 °C with an angle rotor for 15 min to form continuous densities gradient (1.00~1.31 g · mL(-1)), approximately 100 μL sample was overlaid onto the preformed continuous density gradient carefully, subsequently, centrifuged at 400 g for 60 min in a tabletop centrifuge equipped with a angle rotor at 25 °C. Yeast samples could be observed that the suspensions were separated into two cell fractions obviously. Both fractions of different yeast strains were respectively determined by differential interference contrast (DIC), phase contrast microscope and synchronous culture to distinguish their morphological and growth trait. The results showed that the lower fraction cells were unbudded, mostly unicellular, highly refractive, homogeneous and uniform in size, and represented growth characteristic synchronously; Their protoplasm had relatively high density, and contained significant concentrations of glycogen; all of which were accordant with description of quiescent yeast cells and G0 cells in previously published paper. It was shown that lower fraction was quiescent cells, synchronous G0 cells as well. A Raman tweezers setup was used to investigate the differences between two fractions, G0 cells and non G0 cells, at a single cell level. The result showed that both G0 cells and the non G0 cells had the same characteristic peaks corresponding biological macromolecules including proteins, carbohydrates and nucleic acids, but all characteristic peak intensities of G0 cells were higher than that of non G0 cells, implied that the macromolecular substance content of G0 cells was more higher. Principal component analysis (PCA) was performed between G0 cells and non G0 cells, the results showed that the chemical composition content among the synchronization G0 cells has less difference, and G0 cells were homogeneous but non G0 cells were heterogeneous, indicating single cell optical tweezers Raman spectroscopy could identify the synchronous and asynchronous cells. The modified method is feasible, economical and efficient highly. G0 synchronous cells of most yeast strains could be isolated by a modification of Percoll density gradient centrifugation.

Objective: To determine the difference of post-operative mortality between ORIF (open reduction internal fixation) and hip replacement for the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture in elderly by using survival analysis., Methods: The clinical data of 110 patients above 60 years old who underwent surgical treatment (ORIF or hip replacement) for the intertrochanteric fracture between April 2003 and May 2013 were retrospectively analyzed. Among the patients, 83 cases were treated with ORIF (ORIF group), there were 32 males and 51 females, aged from 61.44 to 98.75 years old with an average of (78.52 ± 7.98) years old; and 27 cases were treated with hip replacement (arthroplasty group), there were 8 males and 19 females, aged from 71.82 to 96.54 years old with an average of (79.99 ± 6.11) years old. A survival analysis was performed on the clinical data by using SPSS 110 software. The survival rate of 1-year,2-year, 5-year and the mean survival time for the total patients, the mortality rate of 1-year, 2-year in each group, the survival rate of 1-year, 2-year and mean survival time and survival curve in each group were included., Results: All wounds achieved primary healing and no deaths were found in stay hospital. All patients were followed up from 1 to 125 months with an average of (46.93 ± 29.53) months. Among all 110 cases, 31 were dead and 79 survived. The survival rate of 1-year, 2-year and 5-year was (90.7 ± 2.8)%, (82.5 ± 3.9)% and (57.6 ± 6.5)%, respectively,while the ensemble mean survival time was (84.137 ± 5.902) months. The mortality rate of 1-year, 2-year in ORIF group was 7.2% and 12.0%, respectively; and in arthroplasty group, there was 14.8% and 25.9%, respectively. There was no significant difference in mortality rate of 1-year and 2-year between two groups. According to the survival analysis of the ORIF group, the survival rate of 1-year, 2-year was (92.6 ± 2.9)%, and (85.8 ± 4.3)%, respectively, and the mean survival time was (87.508 ± 6.063) months. In arthroplasty group, the survival rate of 1-year, 2-year was (85.2 ± 6.8)% and (73.9 ± 8.5)%,and the mean survival time was (67.294 ± 11.180) months. There was significant difference in mean survival time between two groups (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: ORIF can achieve a better postoperative survival compare with hip replacement in treating intertrochanteric fracture in elderly.

Objective: To retrospectively analyse the medical imaging examination results of the injuries and illnesses during the 2008 Olympic Games and 2013 China National Games in Shenyang Divison., Methods: Collected and analyzed the health information and medical imaging examination results from Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University during the two games., Results: There was 9 cases of sports injuries in the 2008 Olympic Games, mainly for knee, ankle ligament injury and muscle sprain, 36 cases of sports injuries in the 2013 China National Games, mainly for head traumas (9 cases), knee injuries (7 cases), ankle injuries (7 cases), shoulder injures (4 cases). Competitions of high risk of being injured were wrestling (10 cases), track and field (8 cases), American football (6 cases). The most common cause of illness were respiratory system (60 cases) and the digestive system (27 cases) in the total 233 cases illnesses in the China National Games., Conclusion: Different sports have different characteristic, regularity and mechanism of injury. Medical imaging examination has important value in the diagnosis of injury during large games. The respiratory system and digestive system are the most common illnesses and affect the athletes training and competition as important as injuries. So illness is the focus on the medical care assurance of the large games.

Objective: To systematically evaluate the efficacy of intranasal antihistamine in the treatment of allergic rhinitis., Methods: The randomized controlled trials (RCT) about intranasal antihistamines for the treatment of allergic rhinitis between January 1985 and January 2014 were searched in OVID, PubMed, EMBASE, CNKI, WanFang Data and Cochrane Library. Two reviewers independently screened the literatures, extracted the data, and evaluated the methodological quality, then meta-analysis was performed by using RevMan 5.1 software., Results: A total of thirteen RCTs were included. The results of meta-analysis showed that the efficacy of intranasal antihistamine group was superior to the placebo group in total nasal symptom scores (TNSS), the difference was significant[WMD = -1.96, 95%CI (-2.06;-1.85), P < 0.01], and individual nasal symptom scores (blocked nose, rhinorrhea, and sneezing) [WMD = -0.18, 95%CI (-0.28;-0.08); WMD = -0.45, 95%CI (-0.52;-0.38); WMD = -0.41, 95%CI (-0.58;-0.24), all P < 0.01], with significant differences. There was no significant difference between the intranasal antihistamine group and the corticosteroid group in TNSS [WMD = -1.51, 95%CI (-3.51;0.49), P = 0.14], but the intranasal antihistamines group was superior to the corticosteroid group in individual nasal symptom scores (blocked nose, rhinorrhea, and sneezing) [WMD = -0.23, 95%CI (-0.40;-0.06); WMD = -0.35, 95%CI (-0.65;-0.05); WMD = -0.25, 95%CI (-0.42;-0.08), all P < 0.05], with significant differences. The intranasal antihistamine group was superior to the oral antihistamines group in TNSS [WMD = -0.88, 95%CI (-1.51;-0.25), P < 0.01]., Conclusion: Intranasal antihistamine is effective in the control of nasal symptoms in AR patients.

In the present paper, the authors calculated the plasma's peak electron temperatures under different heat source separation distance in laser- pulse GMAW hybrid welding based on Boltzmann spectrometry. Plasma's peak electron densities under the corresponding conditions were also calculated by using the Stark width of the plasma spectrum. Combined with high-speed photography, the effect of heat source separation distance on electron temperature and electron density was studied. The results show that with the increase in heat source separation distance, the electron temperatures and electron densities of laser plasma did not changed significantly. However, the electron temperatures of are plasma decreased, and the electron densities of are plasma first increased and then decreased.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of the ARAR0331 protocol for treatment of childhood nasopharyngeal carcinoma., Methods: The clinical data of eight children with nasopharyngeal carcinoma between May 2004 and May 2012 were retrospectively studied. The eight patients included six boys and two girls, and the onset age was between 3 and 13 years. Six patients were in AJCC Stage Ⅲ, one was in StageⅡA and one was in Stage ⅣA. One patient had been treated with combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy which mainly included EAP, BEP and EA. The other seven patients had been treated with the ARAR0331 protocol provided by the America Children's Oncology Group (COG)., Results: The patient who had been treated with combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy developed multiple bony metastasis during the chemotherapeutic period. Four out of seven patients who had been treated with ARAR0331 protocol achieved complete remission, and two achieved partial remission. The seven patients were followed-up from 8 to 75 months and the survival rate was 100%. The ARAR0331 protocol treatment-related complications included radiodermatitis, mucocitis and nausea. Late toxicity was not found., Conclusions: Based on the limited cases, ARAR0331 protocol appears to be effective and safe for childhood nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Baidanhuang lavage fluid nasal irrigation (BLFNI) on postoperative patients with chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps (CRwNP)., Methods: Ninety postoperative patients with CRwNP were randomly assigned to two groups, the treatment group (60 cases) and the control group (30 cases). After nasal endoscopic surgery, all patients received routine therapies, while the nasal cavity perfusion device was used to irrigate. Patients in the treatment group were treated with BLFNI, while those in the control group were irrigated with physiologic saline with dexamethasone and gentamycin. The physic liquor was maintained in the nasal cavity for 15 min, 14 days as one therapeutic course: once per 3 days in first treatment course; once per 5 days in the second treatment course; once per 7 days in the third treatment course. The irrigation times gradually reduced as time went by. The VAS scoring was performed in four clinical symptoms, such as nasal obstruction, rhinorrhea, olfaction disorders, discomforts or pain in the face or head. The Lund-Kenenedy quantification scoring method was used for nasal endoscopy to assess the polyps size, mucous membrane, scar, surface scab, and quality of life (QOL). The SNOT-20 rating scales were filled to investigate the QOL. All the assessments were carried out before surgery, 1.5, 3, and 6 months, respectively. The comprehensive efficacy assessment was conducted 1 year later., Results: The 1-year cure rate was 79.25% in the treatment group and 76.92% in the control group, and the total effective rate was 90.57% in the treatment group and 84.62% in the control group. There was no statistical difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). The nasal cavity cleaning time and the epithelization time was (2.15 +/- 0.13) weeks and (9.17 +/- 1.67) weeks respectively in the treatment group, earlier than those in the control group [(2.65 +/- 0.15) weeks and (10.71 +/- 3.12) weeks, P < 0.05]. At week eight 22 patients in the treatment group ended the lavage due to recovery, while 5 patients in the control group ended the lavage, showing statistical difference (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, better results were obtained in the treatment group in relieving the total VAS score at postoperative 6 weeks and 3 months, in the single score of symptoms at 3 months after operation, the rhinorrhea at postoperative 6 months and 1 year (P < 0.05). The total endoscopic score, and the single score for nasal mucous membrane edema, and nasal secretion at postoperative 1.5 month were lower in the treatment group than in the control group (P < 0.05). The total score of SNOT-20 questionnaire, and the integrals for five major indicators at postoperative 1.5 and 3 months were lower in the treatment group than in the control group (P < 0.05)., Conclusions: The perioperative application of BLFNI could alleviate postoperative mucosal inflammation, shorten the cavity cleaning time, speed up the process of epithelization, improve the QOL, and elevate the operative efficacy. Its therapeutic roles were more prominent within perioperative 1.5-3 months.

Objective: To evaluate left ventricular function in newborn infants of mothers with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM)., Methods: Forty newborn infants of mother with GDM (GDM group) and forty normal newborn infants (control group) were enrolled in this study. Two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging was used to measure interventricular septal thickness, posterior left ventricular wall thickness and left ventricular ejection fraction in both groups. Left ventricular rotation and torsion were evaluated for all participants., Results: Interventricular septal thickness in the GDM group was much higher than in the control group (0.45±0.06 mm vs 0.34±0.05 mm; P<0.05). Posterior left ventricular wall thickness in the GDM group was also higher than in the control group (0.45±0.17 mm vs 0.31±0.02 mm; P<0.05). There was no difference in the left ventricular ejection fraction between the two groups (P>0.05). Peak subendocardial rotation, peak subepicardial rotation, peak bulk rotation and peak mural torsion were higher in the GDM group than in the control group (P<0.05)., Conclusions: Cardiac function may be impaired in newborn infants of mothers with GDM, with changes in left ventricular shape and abnormalities of left ventricular rotation and torsion. However, infants have a normal ventricular blood ejection under the cardiac compensation. Two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging technique can be used for early detection of left ventricular function.

Objective: To explore the clinical and imaging features of anoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (AIE) patients after cardiopulmonary resuscitation., Methods: A total of 28 qualified AIE patients during the last decade from Xiangya Hospital, Central South University were recruited and analyzed retrospectively., Results: The symptoms of status epilepticus, acute posthypoxic myoclonus, Lance-Adams syndrome, subarachnoid hemorrhage and cognitive deficits were observed. The abnormal findings of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computed tomography (CT), involving neocortex, basal ganglia and para-ventricular white matter, were also recorded. During the early phase of disease, swollen cortex was present on MRI/CT. However, encephalatrophy appeared during the late phase. The more severe symptoms were observed, the more foci were present on MRI/CT., Conclusion: The etiologies of AIE patients are heterogeneous after cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The clinical symptoms and imaging studies are of prognostic significance.

Objective: To explore the correlation between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of interleukin-28B (IL-28B) gene and the susceptibility to primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)., Methods: A total of 300 histologically confirmed HCC cases (from November 2001 to April 2010) and 310 healthy controls with no history of chronic hepatitis B or hepatocellular carcinoma (2009-2010) were selected from a hospital in Guilin and a hospital in Beijing for this case-control study.139 HCC patients in the case group had complete clinical tracking data. All the subjects were Han Chinese, with no age or gender restrictions.2 ml peripheral blood samples were drawn from each subject with informed consent. SNP of rs12972991, rs4803223, rs8099917 and rs12979860 four loci in IL-28B gene were analyzed by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF)., Results: The frequencies of C allele at rs12972991, G allele at rs8099917 and G allele at rs4803223 were 6.7% (40/598), 7.9% (47/598) and 10.0% (59/588) respectively in case group; all higher than the corresponding frequencies in control group, separately 2.9% (18/618), 4.1% (25/616) and 3.6% (21/608). The differences were statistically significant (χ2=9.542, 7.858, 20.736, P values all<0.05). The above alleles could increase the risk of HCC, and the OR (95%CI) values were separately 1.67 (1.13-2.46), 1.49 (1.08-2.06) and 2.91 (1.79-4.72). The genotype frequencies of AC+CC at rs12972991, GT+GG at rs8099917, GA+GG at rs4803223 were 13.0% (39/299), 14.7% (44/299) and 19.0% (56/296) respectively in case group; while the frequencies were lower in control group, separately 5.8% (18/309), 8.1% (25/308) and 6.6% (20/304). The differences were statistically significant (χ2=9.319, 6.557, 20.948, P values all<0.05). These genotypes may increase the risk of HCC, and the adjusted OR (95%CI) values were 2.24 (1.31-3.83), 1.81 (1.14-2.88) and 2.90 (1.78-4.70), respectively. The stratified analysis of the clinical data indicated that the frequency of genotype GA+GG at rs4803223 was 50.0% (13/26) in patients of tumor thrombosis in portal vein (TTPV), higher than the frequency of genotype AA (21.1%, 23/109). The difference was statistically significant (χ2=8.965, P=0.003)., Conclusion: The results suggested that IL-28B gene polymorphisms was correlated to the susceptibility to HCC in Chinese Han ethnic population. Among them, GA + GG genotype at rs4803223 could increase the risk of TTPV in HCC patients.

Objective: To optimize the preparation process of Erigeron breviscapus sustained-release pellets., Methods: A mathematical model of relationship between the independent variables and dependent variable of the preparation process of Erigeron breviscapus sustained-release pellets was established by using back-propagation (BP) artificial neural networks (ANN), and the preparation process parameters were optimized with particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm., Results: The pellets prepared according to the optimized preparation process parameters had significant effect of sustained-releasing. Drug release from the pellets was controlled by both diffusion and matrix corrosion., Conclusion: Combining BP ANN modeling with PSO algorithm provides an effective way to solve the multi-dimensional optimization problem of complicated nonlinear systems in pharmaceutical technology.

Aim: To investigate the chemosensitivity small interfering RNA (siRNA) on liver cancer cell line SMMC7721., Methods: The siRNA sequences design based on signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 (STAT3) gene, siRNA were transfected into SMMC7721 cells through liposome lipofectamine(TM); 2000. The expression inhibition of STAT3 gene in SMMC7721 cells was measured by real-time relative quantitative PCR. The cells growth inhibition rate were measured by MTT colorimetry after 10 μmol/L 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu) action., Results: The siRNA expression vector to aim directly at STAT3 gene was constructed successfully. The result of real-time PCR revealed that specificity siRNA were transfected into SMMC7721 cells could inhibit the expression of STAT3 gene. STAT3 gene in SMMC7721 cells were specialty and effectually inhibit the expression by RNA interference (RNAi). MTT colorimetry detection result revealed that SMMC7721 cells inhibition rate significantly increasing after siRNA action., Conclusion: The siRNA expression vector can active inhibit expression of STAT3 gene in SMMC7721 cells, enhance its sensitivity to chemotherapeutics 5-Fu, to provide experiment based on for the biological therapy of tumor.

Objective: To compare the differences of radiographical and functional outcomes between traditional and minimally invasive approach in treating Hawskins type I fractures of the talar neck., Methods: From February 2000 to February 2008, 37 patients underwent reduction and internal fixation using two different approaches. In minimally invasive approach group, there were 16 males and 2 females, ranging in age from 20 to 47 years, averaged (35.2 +/- 3.1) years, and in traditional approach group, there were 15 males and 4 females, ranging in age from 22 to 44 years, averaged (35.3 +/- 2.3)years. All the patients had Hawskins type I fractures. The following data were compared between two groups: operation time, blood loss, length of incision and function of ankle joint. All the patients were graded by Hawkins points-scoring system after operation., Results: All patients were followed up. The duration ranged from 2 to 10 years, with an average of 5.6 years. The index such as operation time, blood loss and the length of incision of patients in minimally invasive approach group were significantly less than those of patients in traditional approach group. According to AOFAS points-scoring system, the score of minimally invasive group was higher than that of traditional approach group., Conclusion: Compared with traditional approach, minimally invasive approach can protect blood supply better, get better clinical effects,which is worth of choosing to treat Hawskins type II fractures of talar neck.

Objective: To investigate the cutaneous adverse reactions to antiepileptic drugs (AEDs), clinical characteristic and the association with HLA-B*1502., Methods: A retrospective analysis of four cases of antiepileptic drug hypersensitive syndrome (AHS) were performed on the basis of clinical data, cutaneous adverse reactions to carbamazepine (CBZ) (n = 2) including Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) (n = 1) and hypersensitivity syndrome (HSS) (n = 1); phenobarbital-induced HSS (n = 1) and oxcarbazepine (OXC)-induced HSS (n = 1). All patients received the examinations of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with sequence specific primers to analyze HLA-B*1502. Two healthy subjects had no history of using antiepileptic drugs as the control., Results: All patients had manifestations of fever, eruption, mucosal involvement and visceral injury. Two cases were diagnosed as Stevens-Johnson syndrome associated with apparent bullae formation. Genotype positive for HLA-B*1502 was association with 2 patients with CBZ/OXC-induced SJS while the other 1 case of CBZ and 1 case of phenobarbital-induced HSS were genotype non-HLA-B*1502., Conclusion: AHS usually occurs within 1 to 2 weeks after initiation of AEDs therapy. The typical presentations are fever, eruption and internal organ involvements, etc. The epileptic patients with CBZ/OXC-induced SJS are related with HLA-B*1502 genotype. But it is not found in HSS patients.
