To study the effect of evaporation and humidification characteristics of spray water curtain on the relative humidity of the tunnel, the calculation model for relative humidity was established in the spray space. The effect of different control parameters on the humidity in the tunnel was explored based on numerical simulation. The results show that the mathematical model of spray droplet evaporation and humidification can effectively predict the relative humidity of roadway; the spray flow rate and atomization pressure, the air supply volume of the air duct, the ambient temperature, and humidity all contributed significantly to the relative humidity of the tunnel. By optimizing the parameters, it is possible to not only reduce the effective range of spray humidification on tunnel humidity but to also improve the moisture removal efficiency after spraying.

BackgroundThere is α-β crosstalk in determination of gross α and β radioactivities in drinking water using a low background scintillation counter, which may lead to erroneous measurement results.PurposeThis study aims to reduce the α-β crosstalk in the determination of gross α and β radioactivities on a low background scintillation counter.MethodsFirst of all, α-β crosstalk correction factors for α (241Am) and β (90Sr-90Y) planar sources were determined on a typical scintillator with low background α/β measuring instrument--BH1227, to ascertain the particles or rays causing the α-β crosstalk. Then, α-β crosstalk correction factors for α and β standard sources with different areas and thicknesses were measured by the BH1227 to explore the relationship between the crosstalk correction factors and the areas and thicknesses of α and β standard sources. The gross α and β radioactivities of drinking water samples with different α or β radioactivity levels were measured and corrected by the BH1227, and the crosstalk correction factors obtained from the α and β standard sources, respectively. Finally, comparisons of the gross α and β radioactivities without and with the crosstalk corrections in drinking water samples were performed to verify the crosstalk correction.ResultsIt is shown that, while pulses arising from alpha particles can get into β channel, the opposite is not typically done. With the increasing of thicknesses of the α standard sources, the α-to-β crosstalk correction factors increase first and then tend to be stable, but have no relation with their areas. The β-to-α crosstalk correction factor for the β standard sources is zero. The correction with the α-to-β crosstalk correction factors obtained from α standard sources, which have the same thickness and area as sample sources, minimizes the α-to-β crosstalk in gross β radioactivity measurement for drinking water samples. The determination of gross α radioactivity in the drinking water samples is not affected by the β-to-α crosstalk.ConclusionsThe pulses caused by β particles or X-γ rays, which can get into α channel lead to erroneous counting, can be effectively rejected by a reasonable increase of α threshold. The α-to-β crosstalk can be effectively reduce with properly adjusting the upper and lower thresholds of β channel to make the α-to-β crosstalk factor as small as possible and performing the α-to-β crosstalk correction on the β count.

Objective: To analyze the effect of HIS hospital management system in medical equipment., Methods: From April 2012 to 2013 in our hospital 5 100 sets of medical equipment as the control group, another 2013 in our hospital from April 2014 may 100 sets of medical equipment as the study group, comparative analysis of two groups of medical equipment scrap rate, usage, maintenance score and the score of benefit etc., Results: Control group and taken to hospital information system, his research group equipment scrap rate, there was a significant difference, the research group of equipment maintenance score and efficiency scores were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05), the study group of equipment maintenance score and efficiency scores were higher than those of the control group., Conclusion: HIS hospital management system for medical equipment management has positive clinical application value, can effectively improve the use of medical equipment, it is worth to draw and promote.

Objective: To discuss the effectiveness of operative treatments for different kinds of old injury of extensor tendon in zone II so as to choose the best surgical approach based on the classification of injury., Methods: Between May 2006 and May 2014, 68 cases of old injury of extensor tendon in zone II were treated. Among them, there were 50 males and 18 females with an average age of 36 years (range, 18-52 years). The causes included contusion injury in 50 cases, avulsion injury in 11 cases, and burn injury in 7 cases. The left side was involved in 21 cases and the right side in 47 cases. The injured finger involved the index finger in 18 cases, the middle finger in 21 cases, the ring finger in 24 cases, and the little finger in 5 cases. The disease duration was 1.5 months to 1 year (mean, 6.75 months). The central slip of extensor was repaired directly in 32 patients who had normal passive motion. Side cross stitch (8 cases) or Littler-Eaton (10 cases) method was used in 18 patients who can not extend actively and passively. Tendon graft was performed in 11 patients with tendon defect. Joint release was given in 7 patients with contracture after burn injury., Results: Primary healing of incision was obtained in all cases. Sixty-eight cases were followed up 3-12 months (mean, 6.9 months). Three cases had tendon adhesion in varying degrees and suffered from pain, which was treated conservatively by functional exercise. Recurrence was observed in 2 cases, and extensor tendon was repaired again. According to total active motion (TAM) function assessment, the results were excellent in 52 cases, good in 11 cases, fair in 3 cases, and poor in 2 cases with an excellent and good rate of 92.6%., Conclusion: Adaptive operation method for old injury of extensor tendon in zone II should be selected based on the type of injury. The results will be satisfactory if correct method is chosen.

Objective: To provide effective microorganisms for the treatment of water polluted by microcystins (MCs), the strains capable of biodegrading microcystin LR (MC-LR) were isolated from the sediment of Chaohu Lake. The degradation of microcystin-LR by the intracellular extracts of the strains were studied., Methods: The enrichment culture using MC-LR as the sole carbon source was utilized to isolate the microcystin-degrading strains. The isolated strain was identified according to the observation of morphology, the physiological and chemical tests and the analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences. The degradation of MC-LR by the intracellular extracts was studied., Results: Strain M6 effectively degrading MC-LR was isolated and the strain M6 could grow utilizing MC-LR as the sole carbon source. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene showed the similarity of 99% between strain M6 and Bacillus cereus. The experimental results suggest that the active substances for degrading MC-LR were the intracellular extracts which were the tissue enzymes of cells rather than induced enzymes. The degradation of MC-LR may be due to the catalytic effects of three enzymes. The degradation rate of 98.7% could be reached under the following conditions: pH 8.0, 404.9 mg/L of intracellular extracts, and 10 mg/L of the initial concentration of MC-LR., Conclusion: Strain M6 which could biodegrade MC-LR efficiently was identified as Bacillus cereus. The influences of pH, the concentration of intracellular extracts and the initial concentration of MC-LR on the enzymatic reaction were obvious.

Objective: To investigate the effect of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture on the biomechanics of the lateral collateral ligament (LCL)., Methods: The specimens in this experiment were knee joints from 6 normal fresh adult male cadavers which was donated voluntarily, aged of 26-35 years with an average of 31.4 years. The knee joints were dissymmetry with 3 in left and right sides respectively. At first, all the 6 specimens lying on the self-made movement tooting, whose LCL straining were measured by strain gauges at different angles (0, 30, 60 and 90 degrees) under axial loads of 400 N by e-testing machine for simulation of the normal knee joint force, were regarded as the intact ACL group. Then, the ACL in all 6 specimens were cut off completely as the deficiency group and did the same step., Results: The strain of the LCL were as follows at 0, 30, 60 and 90 degrees: (0.00 +/- 1.63), (-17.2 +/- 8.57), (-24.00 +/- 4.80) and (26.50 +/- 4.65) mu epsilon in intact ACL group; (0.75 +/- 8.22), (-52.75 +/- 3.33), (24.30 +/- 4.99) and (26.30 +/- 4.27) mu epsilon in deficiency group. There was no significant difference at 0 degree and 90 degrees flexion (P > 0.05), but significant difference at 30 degrees and 60 degrees flexion (P < 0.05) between the two groups., Conclusion: The rupture of the ACL has significantly effect on the strain of the LCL which suffering abnormal load in the state at 30 degrees and 60 degrees flexion. At 30 degrees flexion the relaxation of the LCL increased, which means the possibility of the injury of the LCL is rare; and at 60 degrees flexion the LCL become very tense and thereby at the high risk of instability.

Leptin, a cytokine predominantly secreted from fat tissue, plays an important role in regulating organism energy balance. Leptin can stimulate lipolysis, but the mechanism is unclear. In order to study the molecular mechanism of leptin stimulating lipolysis, we systemically studied the mRNA expression of key lipolytic enzymes. Morphological observation, Oil Red O staining and RT-PCR were used to identify pig primary adipocytes; commercial kits were used to measure the glycerol and FFA release; Semiquantitative RT-PCR was used to detect the mRNA expression of key lipolytic enzymes. The results showed that 100 nmol/L leptin up-regulated the mRNA expression of ATGL, TGH-2, HSL, MGL and LPL (P<0.01), but down-regulated the Perilipin mRNA expression (P<0.01). At the same time, leptin promoted the glycerol release in a dose dependent manner (P<0.01), but had no effect on the FFA release (P>0.05). These indicate that leptin may mainly stimulate lipolysis in pig primary adipocytes by up-regulating the expression of ATGL, MGL, LPL and down-regulating the expression of Perilipin. The unchanged FFA release may be resulted from Leptin promoting UCPs mRNA expression and increasing FFA expenditure.
