Objectives: This study sought to describe our institutional experience of repeated percutaneous stellate ganglion blockade (R-SGB) as a treatment option for drug-refractory electrical storm in patients with nonischemic cardiomyopathy (NICM). Methods: This prospective observational study included 8 consecutive NICM patients who had drug-refractory electrical storm and underwent R-SGB between June 1, 2021 and January 31, 2022. Lidocaine (5 ml, 1%) was injected in the vicinity of the left stellate ganglion under the guidance of ultrasound, once per day for 7 days. Data including clinical characteristics, immediate and long-term outcomes, and procedure related complications were collected. Results: The mean age was (51.5±13.6) years. All patients were male. 5 patients were diagnosed as dilated cardiomyopathy, 2 patients as arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy and 1 patient as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The left ventricular ejection fraction was 37.8%±6.6%. After the treatment of R-SGB, 6 (75%) patients were free of electrical storm. 24 hours Holter monitoring showed significant reduction in ventricular tachycardia (VT) episodes from 43.0 (13.3, 276.3) to 1.0 (0.3, 34.0) on the first day following R-SGB ( P <0.05) and 0.5 (0.0, 19.3) after whole R-SGB process ( P <0.05). There were no procedure-related major complications. The mean follow-up was (4.8±1.1) months, and the median time of recurrent VT was 2 months. Conclusion: Minimally invasive R-SGB is a safe and effective method to treat electrical storm in patients with NICM.

Objective: To explore the clinical effects of free anterolateral thigh perforator flap pedicled with descending genicular artery in repairing wounds after lower leg limb-sparing surgery. Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted. From January 2019 to June 2021, 12 patients with wounds after lower leg limb-sparing surgery who met the inclusion criteria were admitted to Suzhou Ruihua Orthopedic Hospital, including 6 males and 6 females, aged 17 to 74 years, with original wound area ranging from 17 cm×9 cm to 40 cm×15 cm. Five patients had infection in wounds. The wounds were all repaired by free anterolateral thigh perforator flap from contralateral thigh, with area of 18 cm×10 cm to 37 cm×9 cm. The artery of flap was anastomosed with the descending genicular artery, and the wounds in donor areas were sutured directly. Seven patients were transplanted with split-thickness skin grafts from the contralateral thigh to cover the remaining wounds that can not be covered by flap and the wounds in donor areas were covered with gauze. During the operation, the types of perforating branch carried by flap and the types of arteries and veins in recipient areas were recorded. The survival and occurrence of vascular crisis of flap, the survival of skin graft, the wound healing in donor and recipient areas, and the length of hospital stay after flap transplant surgery were recorded. During follow-up, the color and texture of flap, reinfection in lower leg, and fracture healing were recorded. At the last follow-up, the limb salvage function of patients was evaluated according to the functional evaluation criteria of Chen Zhongwei's amputated limb replantation. Results: The types of perforating branches carried by flaps were as follows: 6 cases of only carrying the descending branch of the lateral circumflex femoral artery, 3 cases of only carrying the oblique branch of the lateral circumflex femoral artery, and 3 cases of carrying the descending branch of the lateral circumflex femoral artery and oblique branch of the lateral circumflex femoral artery after internal pressurization anastomosis. The types of arteries in the recipient area of flap were as follows: one case of main trunk of the descending genicular artery, 8 cases of the saphenous branch of the descending genicular artery, and 3 cases of the articular branch of the descending genicular artery. The types of veins in the recipient area of flap were as follows: 8 cases of one accompanying vein of the descending genicular artery and one branch of the great saphenous vein, and 4 cases of two branches of the great saphenous vein. All the flaps survived without vascular crisis, and all the skin grafts also survived. The wounds in the donor and recipient areas were all healed. The length of hospital stay of patient after flap transplant surgery ranged from 13 to 79 days. During the follow-up of 6 to 23 months, the color and texture of flap were both good, with no infection in lower leg wound. Internal or external fixation were removed after fracture healing in 5 patients, and bone graft internal fixation was performed in 7 patients whose fractures were not healed after surgery and all the incisions healed without infection. At the last follow-up, the limb salvage effect of patients was evaluated as followings: excellent in 7 patients, good in 4 patients, and fair in one patient. Conclusions: Free anterolateral thigh flap pedicled with descending genicular artery can effectively repair the wounds after lower leg limb-sparing surgery and control infection with short length of hospital stay, while not increasing the risk of secondary injury of distal limb vessels. Thus, it can obtain satisfactory limb salvage effect which is worthy of clinical promotion.

We examined the relationship between tree functional traits and leaf nitrogen and phosphorus resorption efficiencies across 29 species in 3-year-old pure plantations in subtropical China. The results showed that the average nitrogen (NRE) and phosphorus (PRE) resorption efficiencies in 29 young plantations were 50.5% and 57.3%, respectively. The average NRE of 22 arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) tree species was 52.7%, significantly higher than that of the seven ectomycorrhizal (EM) tree species (45.1%). NRE was positively correlated with fine root tissue density across the 29 tree species. PRE was positively correlated with root diameter in the seven EM tree species. Functional traits of 22 AM tree species were not associated with NRE and PRE. Among all of the 29 tree species, mycorrhizal type, specific leaf area, fine root tissue density, leaf thickness, and the interaction effects of mycorrhizal type with leaf thickness explained 27% variation in NRE. Specific root length, fine root carbon content, fine root carbon to nitrogen ratio, mycorrhizal type, leaf carbon content, and the interaction effects of mycorrhizal type with leaf carbon content explained 35% variation in PRE. Root functional trait of subtropical species could predict nitrogen and phosphorus resorption efficiencies. The model with multiple functional traits could better reveal the relative importance of different biological factors on nutrient resorption efficiency.

Objective: To investigate the acute and long-term outcome of catheter ablation for the treatment of ventricular tachycardia (VT) in patients with arrhythmogenic left ventricular cardiomyopathy (ALVC). Methods: This retrospective, cross-sectional study enrolled ALVC patients undergoing radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of VT at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2011 to December 2018 and collected their clinical characteristics and intraoperative electrophysiological examination. Patients were followed up every 6 months after radiofrequency ablation until August 2021. Echocardiographic results and VT recurrence post radiofrequency ablation were analysed. Results: Totally 12 patients were enrolled (mean age: (42±15) years, 11 males(11/12)). The mean of left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVDd) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were (51±5)mm and (65±5)%, respectively. Twelve VTs were induced in 10 patients during the electrophysiological study, and the mean tachycardia cycle length was (293±65) ms. Three-dimensional substrate mapping revealed the diseased area at endocardial site in one patient, at epicardial sites in the other 11 patients (involved endocardial sites in 2 cases) with the basal part near the mitral annulus being the predilection for the substrate (10/11). After the catheter ablation at the endocardial and epicardial sites respectively, the complete procedure endpoint was achieved in all patients (VT cannot be induced post ablation). The median follow-up time was 65 (25, 123) months. One patient was lost to follow-up, and the other 11 patients survived without VT. No significant cardiac function deterioration was detected by the echocardiographic examination ((51±5)mm vs. (52±5)mm, P >0.05 for LVDd, (65±5)% vs. (60±6)%, P >0.05 for LVEF) at the end of follow-up. Conclusion: After radiofrequency ablation, the complete procedure endpoint is achieved in ALVC patients, and the catheter ablation provides long-term ventricular tachycardia control during the long-term follow-up.

This paper aimed to investigate the active components and mechanism of Taohong Siwu Decoction in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea(PD) based on network pharmacology and molecular docking technology. Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform(TCMSP) was used to search the chemical compositions and targets of six herbs in Taohong Siwu Decoction. The targets for PD treatment were selected through the databases of DrugBank, OMIM, TTD and CTD, and gene annotation of the targets was conducted with UniProt database. Cytoscape 3.7.2 was then used to construct the drug-compound-target network. The protein-protein interaction(PPI) network was constructed based on STRING, and the core targets of Taohong Siwu Decoction in the treatment of PD were selected according to the topological parameters. David database was used for GO enrichment analysis and KOBAS 3.0 was used for KEGG enrichment analysis. The molecular docking technology was used to connect the components with higher medium values in the network with core targets. The results showed that the network contained 36 compounds such as quercetin, kaempferol, luteolin, myricanone and ferulic acid, and 99 targets such as PTGS2, PTGS2, PGR and PPARG. Totally 102 GO terms were obtained by GO functional enrichment analysis(P&lt;0.01), and 228 signal pathways were obtained by KEGG pathway enrichment(P&lt;0.05), mainly involving inflammatory factors, hormone regulation, central analgesia, amino acid metabolism and spasmolysis. The results of molecular docking showed that the main active components can spontaneously bind to the targets. This study preliminarily revealed the mechanism of Taohong Siwu Decoction for treatment of primary dysmenorrheal through multi-components, multi-targets and multi-pathways, providing theoretical references for further researches on mechanism of Taohong Siwu Decoction.

Objective: To explore the pharmacologically active ingredients in Toujie Quwen granules (TJQW) for treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in light of systemic pharmacology., Methods: We performed database search, literature mining and drug-like index screening to identify the bioactive components in TJQW, the positive drugs for disease treatment and their therapeutic targets. The core disease target was investigated based on the cross-linking interaction of the bioactive components, positive drug and potential disease target, and the target proteins at the key nodes were analyzed by GO and KEGG analyses. Based on the therapeutic targets for COVID-19, virtual screening was conducted to screen the compounds in TJQW and construct the network cross-linking the key bioactive molecules in TJQW, key node targets of the disease, and the related biological pathways., Results: We identified 159 compounds in TJQW and obtained 18 core proteins based on the cross-linking of the bioactive components, positive drugs and disease targets. The key node targets consisted of 22 targets including the latest 4 COVID-19 proteins. Virtual screening results showed that at least 14 compounds could bind with the core disease target proteins. The material basis of TJQW for COVID-19 treatment was explained in multi-pathway, multi-component and multi-target perspectives. In terms of the structural characteristics of the compounds, we screened the top 30 molecules with strong binding with the target proteins, among which flavonoids were the predominant components., Conclusions: This investigation reveals the therapeutic mechanism of TJQW for COVID-19 involving multiple components, targets and pathways from the perspective of key bioactive molecules, disease key node targets and related biological pathways. We screened 30 active precursors from TJQW, which provides reference for the clinical application and further development of TJQW.

Objective: To understand the current situation of soil-transmitted nematode infections and influencing factors of pupils in rural areas of Yi Ethnicity in Butuo County, Sichuan Province, so as to provide the evidence for the prevention and control of soil-transmitted nematode infections., Methods: In 2016, the pupils of 2 villages in Butuo County were selected by the multi-stage random sampling method, and the relevant information was obtained by questionnaires, including social demographic information, diet and hygiene habits and acknowledge of parasitic disease prevention. The soil-transmitted nematode infections were examined by Kato-Katz technique. The results were statistically analyzed by the single factor analysis and multivariate logistic regression methods., Results: A total of 160 pupils were investigated in this survey. The soil-transmitted nematodes included Ascaris lumbricoides , Trichuris trichiura and hookworm. The overall infection rate was 89.38%, and the multi-infection rate was 54.55%. The infection rates of A. lumbricoides and T. trichiura were higher. The infection densities were mild (75.68%) or moderate (22.97%). The logistic regression analysis showed that the protective factor of soil-transmitted nematode infections was the knowledge about correct diet and health habits notified by teachers ( OR = 0.67), but the risk factor was drinking unboiled water ( OR = 19.26)., Conclusions: The infection rate of nematodes is still high in the pupils in rural areas of Yi Ethnicity in Butuo County, Sichuan Province. Therefore, we should strengthen the prevention and control of soil-transmitted nematode infections, especially A. lumbricoides and T. trichiura infections, and mostly develop the teachers'function in health education.

Objective: To explore the effect of NLRP1 on the liver dysfunction following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT)., Methods: The mouse model of allo-HSCT was established by using C57BL/6 and NLRP -/- mice were used as the recipients: BABL/c mice were used as donors). The chimera rates of donor's bone marrow cells were assayed by flow cytometry. ALT and AST levels were measured by automatic biochemical analyzer. Western blot was used to detect the expressions of NLRP1, the precursor of Caspase-1 and its active segment p20,IL-1β,IL-18 and MPO in livers., Results: The chimera rate was over 96% on the day 14 after allo-HSCT, and showed that the hematopoietic stem cells of donors had been transplanted into recipients. ALT and AST levels were increased from (173.9±12.39)U/L and (283.7±28.00)U/L on day 7 to (3902±1745)U/L and (5316±924)U/L on the day 14 and decreased to (3153±564.4) U/L and (4350±957.7) U/L on the day 28, respectively. Western blot showed that the expression of NLRP1 was increased after allo-HSCT, which displayed a similar trend with the changes of ALT and AST. When knocking out NLRP1, the contents of ALT and AST in the knocked group were significantly decreased in comparison with the group without knocking out. And the expression levels of NLRP1 related inflammatory proteins, precursor of Caspase-1,p20,Mature-IL-1β,Mature-IL-18 and MPO were lower than those in groups without knocking out NLRP1 gene., Conclusion: Allo-HSCT can cause the damage of liver function and increase the expression of NLRP1, while knocking out NLRP1 can reduce the damage of liver function, so NLRP1 may be one of the important factors leading to liver dysfunction.

Objective: To explore the function of NLRP1 in noninfectious pulmonary injury (nonIPI) after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) . Methods: In this study, we established the model of allo-HSCT with C57BL/6 and NLRP(-/-) mouse as recipients. Chimera rate was measured by flow cytometry. The HE staining was used to observe the pathology changes in the lungs. NLRP1 and relevant inflammatory proteins were measured by Western Blot. Results: On the day 14 after allo-HSCT, the chimera rate was more than 96%, HSCs of donors had been successfully transplanted into recipients. HE staining showed that nonIPI occurred after allo-HSCT. The degrees of injuries reached the peak on day 21. In addition, the expressions of MPO, NLRP1, p20, Mature-IL-1β and Mature-IL-18 had same tends with the degrees of nonIPI. When we knocked out NLRP1 gene of recipients, the degrees of nonIPI reduced and the expressions of MPO, p20, Mature-IL-1β and Mature-IL-18 were less than in non-knockout group. Conclusion: allo-HSCT could cause nonIPI and high expressions of MPO, p20, IL-1β, IL-18, NLRP1. Knocking out NLRP1 gene could alleviate the degrees of nonIPI and reduce the expressions of relevant inflammatory proteins, indicating that NLRP1 might be one of factors contributed to nonIPI after allo-HSCT.

Objective: To investigate how the intra-cardiac activation was translates into the characterized flutter wave in patients with cavatricuspid isthmus-dependent counter-clockwise atrial flutter (CTI-AFL)., Methods: A total of 15 hospitalized CTI-AFL patients (mean age: (60 ± 14) years old, 1 female) from October 2012 to February 2014 were enrolled in the study. The activation map was re-constructed during AFL rhythm for left atrium and right atrium using 3-dimensional mapping system. The flutter wave in surface electrocardiogram was analyzed in combination with the intra-cardiac activation., Results: The mean left ventricular ejection fraction was (60.8 ± 6.6)%, and the left atrial diameter was (39.0 ± 3.4) mm. The mean tachycardia cycle length was (220 ± 24) ms. The activation map was completed in all cases. In inferior leads, the flutter wave was divided into three parts: slowly downward part, sharp downward part and the terminal positive part. The three parts corresponded to the fixed activation part of the macro-reentry., Conclusion: The distinctive flutter wave of CTI-AFL was determined by the unique macro-reentry activation in the right atrium. The activation of left atrium contributes to the downward part of the wave.

Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of preoperative computed tomography urography (CTU) three-dimensional reconstruction, intraoperative radiology and ultrasound guidance followed by percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) in the treatment of complex renal calculi., Methods: We summarized the clinical data of 210 patients with complex renal calculi treated at our hospital from December 2008 to December 2011 in this retrospective study. In the one-stop diagnosis and treatment group (n = 119), the optimal puncture approach was designed according to CTU imaging and three-dimensional reconstruction. Percutaneous track was established by ultrasound and radiology guided puncture. PCNL was performed with EMS system. The control group (n = 91) underwent PCNL without radiological guidance. The success rate of puncture, mean accessing time, mean operative duration, intraoperative volume of blood loss and stone-free rate after one operative session were observed. Post-operative follow-ups were conducted until June 2012., Results: Compared to the control group, the one-stop diagnosis and treatment group showed a higher success rate of puncture [98.3% (117/119) vs 92.3% (84/91), P = 0.037], a shorter operative duration [97.8 ± 13.20 vs 110.0 ± 14.73 min, P = 0.043] and a higher stone-free rate after one operative session [92.4% (110/119) vs 83.5% (76/91), P = 0.037]. No significant difference was detected in the mean accessing time[15.3 ± 3.7 vs 13.9 ± 3.9 min, P = 0.398] or intraoperative volume of blood loss [195.8 ± 84.15 vs 263.3 ± 82.06 ml, P = 0.059]. No severe complications occurred. No recurrence of calculi was noted during the follow-up period., Conclusion: One-stop diagnosis and treatment plan (CTU 3-D reconstruction plus radiology, ultrasound guidance followed by PCNL) may identify the puncture path, improve the successful rate of puncture and stone-free rates and reduce the complications of PCNL.

Objective: To detect pharmacokinetics of Danshensu Sodium in Danshen dripping solution in Beagles., Method: Danshen dripping solution was dripped intravenously into healthy Beagles at a dose of 10 mL x kg(-1). Their plasma samples were extracted with acetic ether, the blood concentrations were determined by HPLC method., Result: Danshensu Sodium showed a good linear relationship within the range of 0.225-18.000 mg x L(-1), with the lowest detectable limit of 0.113 mg x L(-1). Its pharmacokinetic parameters were as follows: tmax was 30 min, Cmax was (9.5742 +/- 2.3715) mg x L(-1), t1/2 was (19.23 +/- 2.97) min, CL was (0.0127 +/- 0.0030) L x min(-1) x kg(-1), AUC(0-tn) was (474.954 +/- 95.483) mg x min x L(-1) and AUC(0-infinity) was (482.494 +/- 95.353) mg x min x L(-1)., Conclusion: The accurate, stable and reliable blood concentration method shows a one-compartment mode of Danshensu Sodium in Beagles.

Objective: To observe the incidence of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) in patients received unfractionated heparin (UFH) treatment, and explore the feasibility of monitoring HIT by platelet counts, as well as the significance of HIT-antibody test in HIT diagnosis., Methods: 145 patients received UFH treatment in Vascular Surgery Department were studied. Before and after the UFH treatment, platelet counts, HIT-antibody ELISA test and heparin-induced platelet aggregation (HIPA) were tested., Results: Among the 145 patients, thrombocytopenia occurred in 40 (27.6%) cases, HIT-antibody ELISA test positive in 59 (40.7%) cases, HIPA test positive in 26 (17.9%) cases. The HIT was diagnosed in 24 (16.5%) cases, and heparin-induced thrombocytopenia and thrombosis (HITTS) occurred in 5 (3.4% in all cases, and 20.8% in HIT patients). In HIT patients, 15 patients (62.5%) were thrombocytopenia, HIT-antibody positive and HIPA test positive. Platelet counts in all of the 24 patients recovered to normal or level before UFH treatment in 3-6 days after heparin withdrawal therapy., Conclusion: HIT can be early diagnosed by monitoring platelet counts, HIT-antibody ELISA test and HIPA test. Withdrawal of heparin therapy in time and use of alternative anticoagulant, HITTS rate might be expected to decline further.

Objective: To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of endourological techniques in the treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) in aged high-risk patients., Methods: We used endourological techniques in the treatment of 283 BPH patients aged over 70 years and complicated with hydronephrosis, renal failure, heart failure, cerebral infarction, respiratory dysfunction, anemia, diabetes, bladder tumor, or prostate weight over 80 g, TURP (transurethral resection of the prostate) for 112 cases and PKRP (transurethral plasmakinetic resection of the prostate) for the other 171. All the patients were followed up for 1-30 months., Results: In the TURP group, the scores on IPSS and QOL were decreased from 27.5 +/- 2.8, 5.5 +/- 1.0 to 5.8 +/- 1.2, 1.0 +/- 0.5, and the residual urine volume (RUV) from (75.0 +/- 20.0) ml to (8.0 +/- 3.0) ml, but the maximal flow rate (Qmax) increased from (6.5 +/- 2.0) ml/s to (18.5 +/- 1.5) ml/s (P < 0.05), while in the PKRP group, the scores on IPSS and QOL were decreased from 28.2 +/- 2.2, 5.5 +/- 1.0 to 5.4 +/- 1.6, 1.0 +/- 0.5, and RUV from (80.0 +/- 20.0) ml to (7.0 +/- 3.0) ml, and Qmax increased from (6.8 +/- 2.1) ml/s to (20.0 +/- 1.5) ml/s (P < 0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in IPSS, QOL, Qmax and RUV after treatment between the two groups (P > 0.05), but significantly less complications were found in the PKRP than in the TURP group (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: Endourological treatment, especially PKRP, with comprehensive perioperative preparations, unerring operative skills, well-controlled operation time, and intensive postoperative monitoring and nursing, has the advantages of high safety, less bleeding, fewer complications and definite effectiveness for aged high-risk BPH patients.

Objective: To establish a LC-MS-MS method for quantification of cinnamic acid in human plasma and study its pharmacokinetics after administration of Mailuoning injection at a single and the multiple doses to healthy volunteers., Method: Plasma samples were acidified with hydrochloric acid and extracted with ethyl acetate-ether. Cinnamic acid was determined by LC-MS-MS using a ZOBAX SB C18 column with a mobile phase of methanol-water (containing 2 mmol x L(-1) ammonium acetic) (45: 55) at a flow rate of 0.5 mL x min(-1) and detected using ESI with negative ionization mode. Ions monitored in the multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode were m/z 146.8 /103.1 [M - H]- for cinnamic acid and m/z 245.6 /126.0 [M - H] - for tinidazole (IS). After administration of Mailuoning injection at a single and the multiple doses via intravenous guttae (ivgtt) to 10 healthy volunteers, the concentration of cinnamic acid in plasma was determined by LC-MS-MS method. The concentration-time curves were simulated by DASver 1.0 and the pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated., Result: The calibration curve was linear within the range of 0.5400 microg x L(-1). The LLOQ was 0.5 microg x L(-1) and RSDs of intra and inter day were less than 10%. The concentration-time curves of cinnamic acid were consistent with the two-compartment model. The pharmacokinetic parameters after administration of Mailuoning Injection at a single and the multiple injections were as follows: C(max) (microg x L(-1)), 115.73 +/- 44.31 and 113.79 +/- 25.61; T1/2beta (h), 0.41 +/- 0.087 and 0.52 +/- 0.132; V(L x kg(-1)), 0.519 +/- 0.134 and 0.651 +/- 0.322; CL(L x kg(-1) x h(-1)), 0.899 +/- 0.295 and 0.830 +/- 0.222; AUC(0-tn) (microg x L(-1) x h), 158.64 +/- 56.019 and 166.49 +/- 46.788., Conclusion: The developed LC-MS/MS method was sensitive and selective, and there was no interference from endogenous substances. After administration of Mailuoning injection via ivgtt to healthy volunteers, the pharmacokinetic parameters of cinnamic acid between a single and the multiple doses, and between the male and female were no significant difference. There was no accumulation with multiple injections for cinnamic acid, but there were significant individual differences in the pharmacokinetics of cinnamic acid in volunteers.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of vardenafil in kidney transplant recipients with erectile dysfunction., Methods: Thirty-nine kidney transplant recipients with erectile dysfunction (ED) and serum creatinine values <2 mg/dl were enrolled in a 4-week randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study, 19 treated with placebo and 20 with vardenafil. Vardenafil efficacy was assessed with the IIEF questionnaire after 4 weeks of treatment, and its safety appraised by measuring serum creatinine levels, creatinine clearances and cyclosporine concentrations before and after the treatment., Results: IIEF scores improved from 12.6 +/- 3.4 to 26.5 +/- 2.8 (P < 0.01), but renal function and cyclosporine concentrations remained unchanged in the vardenafil-treated patients. Adverse effects were observed in 4 patients: headache in 2, palpitation and flush in 1, and dyspepsia in the other., Conclusion: Oral vardenafil therapy has a high efficacy and a low incidence of adverse events for kidney transplant recipients with ED.

Objective: To investigate the phosphorylation intensity of MAPK pathway molecular Erk1/2 and the proliferation of prostate cancer cell line PC-3M., Methods: Flow cytometry and RT-PCR were employed to study the ratio of different cell cycles and phases, respectively, before and after GM-CSF stimulation. Erk1/2 phosphorylation intensity was examined by Western blot simultaneously., Results: The rate of PC-3M cells at S and G2/M stages and the expression intensity of Ki-67 increased after GM-CSF incubation in a dose-dependent manner. The phosphorylation intensity of Erk1/2 increased remarkably after stimulation with GM-CSF., Conclusion: The intensification of Erk1/2 phosphorylation is one important molecular mechanism of the proliferation of hormone-independent prostate cancer.
