【Objective】Single-photon detection and single-photon ranging systems have widespread applications in three-dimensional imaging and long-distance spatial remote sensing. However, device limitations and background noise from the sun light limit the application to only nighttime conditions.【Methods】We have improved traditional laser radar systems by implementing all-fiber optics systems with ultra-narrowband fiber optic filtering, leading to significantly improved system stability. By implementing mechanical motion control, we are able to attain single-photon imaging systems with ultra-wide scanning and ultra-high resolution. The systems can operate in optical environments that are typically challenging, such as daytime or foggy weather. Moreover, the laser radar system is designed based on the 1 550 nm wavelength which has good atmospheric penetration and low transmission loss, enhancing its ability to work in foggy and rainy conditions.【Results】In a foggy condition with a visibility of about 500 m, the system achieves three-dimensional imaging of objects 1.6 km away, which is a distance 3 times longer than the visibility at the time. The distance resolution can be significantly enhanced by optimizing the intensity and distance information of the histogram using the minimized negative logarithmic likelihood function, with the assistance of a high-resolution time/digital converter and the model constructed by the system response function of the laser radar. Compared to the maximum value method with a distance resolution of 0.05 m, this system achieves a distance resolution of 0.006 m via the minimized negative logarithmic likelihood function method. Additionally, the image normalization processing is performed to suppress fluctuations in photon technology and eliminate noise in the image. The 1 550 nm all-fiber laser radar system has strong mechanical stability and can work in adverse weather conditions.【Conclusion】It has significant application value in remote sensing and mapping, ground and vehicle-mounted laser radar, and other fields.

The drag torque of the wet clutch affects the efficiency of the transmission, and the engagement torque of the clutch affects the reliability of the transmission. However, reducing the drag torque and increasing the engagement torque are generally contradictory. This study takes the wet friction clutch as the research object, and takes the inner diameter, outer diameter, radial groove depth, radial groove width and number of radial grooves, friction plate clearance of the wet clutch as the optimal design variables. The minimum drag torque and maximum engagement torque are the optimization objectives, the mathematical model of the optimization design is established, and the solution method of the optimization toolbox of Matlab is given. Taking a fracturing truck gearbox clutch as an example, the multi-objective optimization design is carried out. After optimization, the drag torque is reduced by 31.67%, and the engagement torque is increased by 33.51%. The results show that the optimization method used in this study is effective and can provide theoretical reference for the design of the friction plate structure and the optimization of clutch parameters.

Porous mullite ceramics were prepared by pressing molding and sintering method, using coal gangue and bauxite as raw materials, hollow glass microspheres as pore-forming agent. The effects of addition amount of hollow glass microspheres and sintering temperature on phase composition, microstructure, flexural resistance and acid and alkali corrosion resistance were studied. The results show that increasing the amount of hollow glass microspheres can increase the porosity of porous ceramics; the addition of hollow glass microspheres can promote the formation of mullite phase and reduce the sintering temperature. In a certain temperature range, increasing the sintering temperature can also increase the porosity, but when the sintering temperature is over 1350 ℃, the porosity begins to decline. Porous mullite ceramics with porosity of 33.23% and flexural strength of 56.41 MPa can be obtained by keeping the molar ratio of Al2O3∶SiO2=3∶2 and adjusting the addition amount of hollow glass microspheres to 1.68%(mass fraction) and sintering at 1350 ℃ for 2 h, which has good acid and alkali corrosion resistance.

Electrochemical energy storage is flexible and efficient, and it is an important direction for the development of large-scale power energy storage technology. Liquid metal battery (LMB) uses liquid metals and molten inorganic salts as electrodes and electrolytes, respectively, to fundamentally avoid the life-limiting problem of traditional batteries. LMB has the advantages of long life, low cost, and large capacity, and has broad application prospects in the field of power system energy storage. This paper mainly introduced the working principle of LMB, focused on its development history and important research progress, and pointed out the limitations and challenges of existing battery systems. On this basis, the key development directions of LMB were discussed and clarified.

Single-grain U-Pb dating of detrital zircons is regarded as an efficient and effective technique to differentiate the contribution of discrete sources. However, its application to the extensive Chinese Loess Plateau (CLP) yields rather complex information in provenance discrimination. The Xining loess was deposited in the Northeastern Tibetan Plateau (NETP), and the detrital zircon U-Pb chronology study can not only obtain provenance information but also provide an important basis to discuss the contribution of the detrital materials from the Northern Tibetan Plateau (NTP) to the CLP. Results of the detrital zircon morphology suggest that zircons may have undergone intense physical weathering and multiple recirculations, and may also indicate the high complexity of the source. Detrital zircon U-Pb age results from different sedimentary layers of the Xining loess reveal there are no obvious temporal variations in the provenance of the Xining loess since ~1.3 Ma and materials may ultimately be eroded from the NTP and the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB), although the relative contribution of detritus from the two sources may slightly vary through time. The U-Pb age spectra of the Xining loess are highly similar to that of typical loess sites in the western-central CLP, suggesting that the provenance areas of the CLP and the Xining loess may be largely consistent, but the possibility of a small difference of provenance cannot be ruled out.

Zhejiang， as a crucial coastal province in China， deems the delineation of risk zones in its power system imperative for minimizing losses caused by typhoon disasters. Initially， the paper leverages historical data to comprehensively analyze meteorological features of typhoons in the Zhejiang coastal areas， focusing on aspects such as landing point distribution， path characteristics， temporal patterns， wind speed attributes， and precipitation features. Subsequently， an analysis of typhoon disaster characteristics in the Zhejiang power system is conducted. This entails examining the distribution of fault points in the transmission system， the relationship between the substation system and typhoon landing points， and the distribution of power outage percentages in the distribution system. Finally， utilizing historical data from both Zhejiang’s typhoon meteorology and power system， the paper creates a map outlining the risk zones for typhoon disasters. This includes a detailed delineation of high-risk areas for tower collapses， areas prone to wind deviations， and regions with high geological disaster risks. The analysis results aim to support risk assessment and response measures for typhoon disasters across various levels of the power grid.

Multi-view clustering is a hot research area, which has attracted increasing attention. Most existing multi- view clustering methods usually learn the data first, and then cluster the fused unified graph to get the final result. This two-step strategy of graph learning and graph clustering may lead to the randomness of clustering results. Besides, the inevitable noise of the data itself and the large differences among views, these invalid fusion methods in high-dimensional data space may cause important information loss, and different multi-view data may be sensitive to parameter selections. To solve the above problems, a multi-view projection clustering algorithm based on dynamic fusion is proposed, which integrates adaptive dimensionality reduction graph learning, self-weight fusion without parameters and spectral clustering in the same framework. The three processes promote each other and jointly optimize the projection matrix, similarity matrix, consensus matrix and clustering label. The Laplacian matrix of the best consensus matrix obtained by dynamic fusion is constrained by rank, and clustering results are obtained directly. Moreover, heuristic super-parameters are automatically adjusted with each optimization iteration. To solve the joint optimization problem, an effective alternative optimization method is designed. Experimental results on artificial datasets and real datasets show the superiority of the algorithm.

In this paper, the leaching solution of certain copper smelter flue dust was taken as the raw material, and the tests on recovery of copper were carried out by sulfide precipitation method. Based on the analysis of the main composition of the flue dust leaching solution, the effects of sodium sulfide dosage, reaction time and temperature on the copper precipitation rate were investigated, and the optimum technological conditions were obtained. The optimum condition is: the ratio of sulphur to copper 1.2, reaction temperature 80 °C and reaction time 1h. Under this condition, the precipitation rate of copper can reach 98.82%, while that of arsenic and zinc are only 0.08% and 0.41% respectively. Seagrasses are monocotyledons that grow in intertidal and subtidal zones. Seagrass beds are among ecosystems with the highest ecosystem service value. However, seagrass beds are rapidly decline due to anthropogenic disturbances and global climate change. Enhalus acoroides, a monoecious perennial species, is the largest seagrass in stature. It distributes in tropical regions, with Hainan Island as its northern limits. Clonal diversity and genetic structure of E. acoroides populations in Hainan Island were studied to facilitate its conservation and restoration. We used four polymorphic microsatellites to genotype samples collected from four extant populations. We found low clonal and genetic diversities within populations, consistent with the expectations of genetic structure in edge populations. A large range of genetic differentiation was found between these four populations, probably due to the large range of geographic distances between them and genetic drift by local extinction and recolonization. We found no sign of recent bottlenecks in all the populations, probably due to the within-population genetic diversity being too low to show obvious reduction even after bottlenecks. We proposed suggestions on population conservation for those with high priority. Given that seagrass bed had experienced rapid decline in recent years, strengthened conservation and ecological restoration are urgently needed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective To analyze the clinical features and microneurosurgical management of intramedullary spinal cord ependymomas. Methods Sociodemographic characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of 51 patients with intramedullary spinal cord ependymomas treated in Southwest Hospital between January 2003 to January 2013 were reviewed. Results Of the 51 patients, the ratio of male and female was 1.32:1 (29 males, 22 females). The onset age ranged from 8 to 68 years old, with the average age of 39.21 years. The main symptoms included pain in 41 cases, numbness in 35 cases, hypodynamia in 22 cases, dyspnea in 6 cases and incontinence in 5 cases. The first symptom was pain in 28 cases, numbness in 16 cases and hypodynamia in 9 cases. According to McCormick spinal function scale, 3 cases of the 51 patients were grade I, 33 cases grade II , 11 cases grade III and 4 cases grade IV. Among all the tumors, 3 cases were located in medulla-cervical cord, 24 in cervical spinal cord, 7 in cervical-thoracic spinal cord, 13 in thoracic spinal cord, 2 in thoracic-lumbar spinal cord and 2 in lumbar spinal cord. All patients underwent microsurgical procedure and total excision was achieved in 42 cases (82.35%), subtotal in 7 cases (13.73% ) and partial resection in 2 cases (3.92% ). Postoperative neurological function was improved in 33 patients, while no changes occurred in 14 cases and became worsened in 3 cases. One case died of secondary edema in the upper part of cervical spinal cord. Twenty-nine patients were followed-up from 5 months to 10 years (mean 41.83 months). Eight cases of the 29 patients were McCormick grade I, 14 cases grade II, 5 cases grade III and 2 grade IV. Conclusion Microneurosurgical procedure was the fundamental measure in treatment of intramedullary spinal cord ependymomas. For the problems of resource sharing and collaborative work in collaborative design, the functional requirement of collaborative design grid (CDG) was analyzed during the product design and simulation process. The concept of CDG was put forward, and its corresponding four-tier architecture was set up based on the grid middleware. The grid services in the CDG were realized by means of Globus toolkit. The grid portal of the CDG based on web was developed to encapsulate the grid services. This technology provides advanced grid services and friendly graphical interfaces for dispersed designers, and then will furthest realize resource sharing and cooperative work. Objective To investigate the effect of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) on the survival of C57 mice implanted with GL261 gliomas after chemotherapy with nimustine (ACNU). Methods Forty adult male C57 mice were divided into four groups: control, HBO, ACNU and HBO + ACNU randomly by SPSS 10, and planted with GL261 glioma cell suspension in their caudate nucleus to form tumors. From the 7th day after implantation, these groups (except control group) began to receive different treatments (HBO, ACNU and HBO + ACNU), in order to observe the effects of different treatments on the survival time of tumor bearing mice. Results There were no significant differences in the tumor volume, mass effect, severe compression of normal brain tissue and midline shift (F = 0.602, P = 0.618). The average survival time was significant with one⁃way ANOVA (F = 12.177, P = 0.000) and with the Kaplan⁃ Meier survival analysis of log⁃rank (χ2 = 13.604, P = 0.003), while multiple comparisons between groups showed HBO (χ2 = 0.365, P = 0.546) and single⁃time ACNU (χ2 = 0.884, P = 0.347) had no effect on the survival of mice; the effect of HBO + ACNU (χ2 = 9.962, P = 0.002) was better than that of HBO (χ2 = 6.925, P = 0.008) and single⁃ time ACNU (χ2 = 7.152, P = 0.007). Conclusion The HBO had no effect on survival time of C57 mice with implantation of GL261 and could not promote the growth of the GL261 glioma. However, combining the treatment with ACNU could extend the survival time of tumor bearing mice, suggesting that HBO could strengthen the therapeutic effects of ACNU． DOI：10.3969/j.issn.1672⁃6731.2012.06.014

Objective To study the efficacy of posterior lamina internal fixation for the treatment of atlantoaxial dislocation with craniovertebral junction region malformation. Methods In April 2010 to November 2011, 12 patients suffered from atlantoaxial dislocation complicated with craniovertebral junction region malformation were treated at our department. All patients underwent posterior decompressed reduction and screw ⁃ titanium rod (plate) system internal fixation. CT thin layer scanning and 3D CT reconstruction were performed. Pre⁃ and post⁃operative atlanto⁃dental interval (ADI), Chamberlain's line (CL) distance and McRae's line (ML) distance were measured. The degree of spinal cord compression was evaluated by cervicomedullary angle (CMA). Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score was used to assess the improvement of cervical medullary function. Electroneurophysiology was applied to detect nerve conduction function. Clinical effect of this surgical procedure was analysed. Results All patients were followed up for 4-20 months (mean 13 months). The differences of preoperative and postoperative ADI [(4.42 ± 2.91) mm vs (2.96 ± 2.08) mm], CL [(10.31 ± 3.80) mm vs (7.16 ± 3.19) mm], ML [(3.24 ± 2.92) mm vs (0.29 ± 2.36) mm], CMA [(127.83 ± 8.75)° vs (134.10 ± 8.38)°] and JOA [(9.75 ± 2.59) scores vs (14.83 ± 2.94) scores] were all statistically significant. In electroneurophysiological examination, preoperative waveform was abnormal in 10 cases, while 7 cases recovered to normal. Imaging examination showed bony fusion at bone grafting area, and no abnormal appearances after internal fixation. In follow⁃up period no complication occurred. Conclusion Posterior lamina internal fixation for the treatment of craniovertebral junction region malformation with atlantoaxial dislocation is safe, feasible and effective. As an important component of urban green spaces, greenhouse gas uptake or emissions from urban lawns cannot be ignored. However, studies of greenhouse gas fluxes from subtropical urban lawns are relatively sparse. The static chamber-gas chromatography method was applied to monitor the ground-air exchange fluxes of various greenhouse gases(CO 2 , CH 4 , N 2 O, and CO) in typical urban lawns of Hangzhou City. Our results showed that the average fluxes had significant seasonal cycles but ambiguous diurnal variations. The grassland and the soil(naked soil without vegetation coverage) acted as sources of atmospheric N 2 O, with the average fluxes of (0.66±0.17) and (0.58±0.20) μg·(m 2 ·min) -1 for N 2 O, respectively; however, they were also sinks of CH 4 and CO, with the average fluxes of (-0.21±0.078) and (-0.26±0.10) μg·(m 2 ·min) -1 for CH 4 and (-6.36±1.28) and (-6.55±1.69) μg·(m 2 ·min) -1 for CO, respectively. The average CO 2 emission fluxes of urban grassland and soil were(5.28±0.75) and (4.83±0.91) mg·(m 2 ·min) -1 , respectively. The correlation analysis indicated that the CO 2 and N 2 O fluxes of grassland and soil were negatively correlated with precipitation, whereas the CH 4 and CO fluxes were positively correlated with it. There was no significant correlation between grassland CH 4 fluxes and soil temperature, and N 2 O fluxes had a significant negative correlation with soil temperature; the other greenhouse gas fluxes showed a significant positive correlation with soil temperature. In addition, the seasonal variation in CO 2 ( R 2 =0.371 and 0.314) and N 2 O( R 2 =0.371 and 0.284) fluxes from both grassland and soil was affected by precipitation, whereas CO fluxes ( R 2 =0.290 and 0.234) were mainly driven by soil temperature compared with the other greenhouse gases.

Objective: To explore clinical efficacy of dorsal plate assisted fixation of dorsal lunate fossa fracture block of distal radius., Methods: From January 2019 to January 2022, 30 patients were treated with dorsal plate assisted fixation of dorsal lunate fossa fracture of distal radius, including 13 males and 17 females, aged from 42 to 68 years old with an average of (48.7±5.6) years old;According to Doi fracture classification, 24 patients were type 3 blocks and 6 patients were type 4 blocks. The degree of palmar angle of anterior and posterior distal radius was fixed by dorsal steel plate during operation. Fracture healing and functional recovery of wrist were observed after operation. Functional evaluation was performed by Gartland and Werley scoring system at 12 months after operation., Results: All patients were followed up from 12 to 13 months with an average of (11.3±0.9) months. All fractures healed for 4 to 5 months with an average of(4.7±0.8) months. Median palpal inclination of anterior and posterior distal radius fixed by dorsal plate was 5.30°(4.85°, 6.03°), 12.45°(11.98°, 13.43°) respectively, and had statistical difference( P <0.01). Gartland and Werley scores was (1.1±0.4) at 12 months afteropertaion, and 27 patients got excellent result and 3 good., Conclusion: Dorsal plate assisted fixation of dorsal lunate fossa fractures is beneficial to reduction and stabilization of displaced dorsal fractures and restoration of palmar inclination.

China is approaching a critical period of carbon peak and carbon neutrality. To assess the impact of carbon peak and carbon neutrality measures, an accurate understanding of the variations of the spatial and temporal distribution of greenhouse gases is crucial. Gas chromatography, a classical approach for greenhouse gas observation, can be employed for the high-precision analysis of partial greenhouse gases. In this research, a new greenhouse gas analytical system capable of measuring five gases (CH 4 , CO, CO 2 , N 2 O and SF 6 ) on a single instrument was developed based on the traditional gas chromatography approach. The following are the chromatographic operation conditions. The carrier gases were high purity N 2 (99.999%) and argon-methane (5% methane in argon, 99.9999%), and a stainless steel switching valve triggered the injection. Compressed CH 4 , CO, CO 2 , N 2 O and SF 6 mixed standard gases were stored in a 0.029 m 3 aluminum alloy steel cylinder for this experiment. After numerous rounds of calibration by Greenhouse Gas Laboratory of Atmospheric Sounding Center of China Meteorological Administration, the gas scale met the primary standard of World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The main performance of the system, including the measurement precision, accuracy and linear response, was tested. The results showed that the detection performance of the system met the quality standards of WMO/Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW). Precision test results indicated that the relative standard deviations (RSDs) of the mole fractions of CH 4 , CO, CO 2 , N 2 O and SF 6 were 0.08%, 1.90%, 0.05%, 0.08%, and 0.66%, respectively. For the linear and accuracy test, the C1-C5 tested standard gases were employed and the deviations of five gases (CH 4 , CO, CO 2 , N 2 O and SF 6 ) between the calculated mole fractions of the regression equation and calibrated mole fractions were 0.15×10 -9 , 0.20×10 -9 , 0.37×10 -6 , 0.35×10 -9 and 0.02×10 -12 , respectively. For CH 4 , CO, CO 2 , N 2 O and SF 6 , the linear regression coefficients ( R 2 ) between the peak areas or heights and calibrated mole fractions were 0.9999. The linear regression residual and accuracy could roughly meet the expanded target of WMO/GAW quality control. The atmospheric greenhouse gases in the Hangzhou urban area were continuously measured from May 2021 to July 2021 using the developed system. The results revealed that atmospheric CH 4 , CO, CO 2 and N 2 O have visible diurnal variation characteristics that were primarily affected by anthropogenic emissions. The target standard gases were measured every 2 h to monitor the stability of the system operation, and the gas mole fractions of the system response were routinely computed and compared with the assigned calibrated values. The results demonstrated that the system had good stability during the observation period and could meet the requirements of high-precision monitoring. The comprehensive test and trial operation results showed that the developed system had good precision, accuracy, linearity and stability.

The present study explored the mechanism of action of Gynostemma pentaphyllum in the treatment of metabolism associa-ted fatty liver disease(MAFLD) by network pharmacology and molecular docking. The main active components and action targets of G. pentaphyllum were collected from TCMSP. Disease-related targets were obtained from GeneCards, OMIM and TTD, and the common targets of the three databases were screened out, which were converted to the genes with standard names by UniProt. The drug-disease common target genes were obtained through Venn tool and uploaded to STRING for the construction of the protein-protein interaction(PPI) network. Cytoscape was used to construct and analyze the drug-active component-common target-disease network. The gene ontology(GO) analysis and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis were performed on the common targets by DAVID. Pymol was adopted to perform molecular docking of active components and the common targets and predict their binding ability. Twenty-four active components(such as gypenosides, quercetin and sitosterol) of G. pentaphyllum were screened out. Ninety-two targets were obtained and 54 common targets were identified. Key targets included TNF, IL6, PTGS2, TP53, CCL2 and VEGFA. GO analysis on biological processes, molecular functions and cellular components and KEGG pathway analysis were performed, and the results indicated that NF-κB, PI3 K-Akt, TNF and HIF-1 signaling pathways were mainly involved. Molecular docking results showed that gypenosides and quercetin had a strong binding ability to TNF, IL6 and PTGS2. The findings of this study revealed that the therapeutic efficacy of G. pentaphyllum on MAFLD might be achieved by resisting inflammation and oxidative stress and improving insulin resistance, providing ideas and a theoretical basis for the development and application of G. pentaphyllum in the treatment of MAFLD.

In order to clarify the effects of chelate tetrasodium glutamate diacetate (GLDA) on the remediation of cadmium (Cd) contaminated farmland by Pennisetum purpureum Schum, GLDA was applied in different methods within 60 days:total application doses of 585, 1170, and 2340 kg·hm -2 were equally divided into 1-4 applications, respectively, and the time intervals of 2-4 applications were 30, 20, and 15 days, respectively. The biomass, Cd content, and amount of Cd extracted from aboveground parts of Pennisetum purpureum Schum, in addition to the pH, dissolved organic carbon (DOC) mass concentration, and other indicators in soil were analyzed. The results showed that the biomass and Cd content of the aboveground parts of Pennisetum purpureum Schum increased significantly when GLDA was applied many times at a low application dose. The number of applications and the total dose were the key factors influencing the biomass and Cd content, respectively. The highest amount of Cd extracted was 16.78 g·hm -2 at 585 kg·hm -2 (applied four times), which was 275.39% higher than the CK treatment (i.e., no GLDA was applied). There was significant positive correlations between the pH, mass concentration of DOC, and content of DTPA-Cd, and the total dose and number of applications. The mass concentration of DOC was the main factor affecting the DTPA-Cd content. The total Cd content in the soil (after at 585 kg·hm -2 was applied four times) decreased by 3.23% compared with that of the soil before planting Pennisetum purpureum Schum. Therefore, the application of GLDA is of great significance for the remediation of Cd contaminated farmland by Pennisetum purpureum Schum, and the application method should be selected reasonably.

To explore the effects of water management mode on Cd environmental behavior in different parent-material-developed paddy soils, two parent-material-developed paddy soils (yellow clayey soil and granitic sandy soil) under three exogenous Cd levels (0.5, 2.0, and 5.0 mg·kg -1 ) with different water management modes (long-term flooding, moistening irrigation, and wet-dry rotation) were cultured in this study. The soil redox potential (Eh value), pH value, Cd concentration in soil solution, and Cd fractionation were also determined. The results showed that water management mode had different effects on the pH and Eh values of soils developed from different parent materials. The change rates of soil pH value were as follows:long-term flooding:-2.61% (yellow clayey soil), 2.25% (granitic sandy soil); alternation of dry and wet:-1.96% (yellow clayey soil); 0.52% (granitic sandy soil); wet irrigation:-4.08% (yellow clayey soil) and -0.52% (granitic sandy soil). The Eh value of the soils was negatively correlated with the pH value. The influence pattern of water management model on Cd mass concentration of soil solutions in two parent-material soils was consistent. The Cd mass concentration of soil solutions in granitic sandy soil was higher than that in yellow clayey soil. The mean values of Cd concentration were 1.03 μg·L -1 for yellow clayey soil and 1.07 μg·L -1 for granitic sandy soil. Water management mode had no significant effect on the proportions of organic bound Cd or Fe-Mn bound Cd in two different parent-material-developed soils. The long-term flooding mode promoted the transformation of exogenous Cd to residual Cd, and this promotion in yellow clayey soil was higher than that in granitic sandy soil. In conclusion, during the process of regulating soil Cd bioavailability through water management, the role of soil parent materials needs to be considered.

Pyrrolizidine alkaloids(PAs) are a kind of natural toxins, which can cause severe hepatotoxicity, pulmonary toxicity, genotoxicity, neurotoxicity, embryotoxicity and even death. Therefore, international organizations and countries such as World Health Organization have paid great attention to herbal medicines and preparations containing PAs. PAs are widely distributed in Chinese herb medicines and contained in hundreds of traditional Chinese medicine preparations. The content of adonifoline, the main PAs in Senecionis Scandentis Herba, shall be less than 0.004% in herbal medicines as described in Chinese pharmacopeia. However, there is no guidance in preparations which contain Senecionis Scandentis Herba. In this study, 14 preparations were analyzed by an UPLC-MS method. Among them, 8 preparations were found to contain adonifoline much higher than the content limits of such countries as Germany, Netherlands and New Zealand. And the highest contents of adonifoline were found in Qianbai Biyan Tablets and Qianbai Biyan Capsules, which are officially recorded in Chinese Pharmacopeia. The contents of adonifoline varied in different batches of the same preparations. The highest content was 156.10 μg·g~(-1) Qianbai Biyan Tablets, whose daily intake of adonifoline was up to 1 030.26 μg according to the recommended dosage of the preparation. Our results showed the potential risk of these preparations, and the content limit of adonifoline shall be inspected Chinese medicine preparations containing Senecionis Scandentis Herba.

By conducting field positioning experiments, we studied the development trend of Cd pollution in a typical paddy system. The samples of atmospheric deposition and irrigation water were collected monthly from November 2015 to November 2018 during which fertilizer, soil, and rice samples were also collected. The Cd concentration in the samples was monitored and analyzed to conduct research on the balance between Cd inputs and outputs in a typical paddy system in Hunan Province. The results suggest that through irrigation water, atmospheric deposition and fertilizer, the average annual input of Cd in the paddy field system is 8.735 g·(hm 2 ·a) -1 , of which atmospheric deposition, the major source, accounts for 69.15%-82.04% of the total input, with an average of 76.61%. This is followed by irrigation water and fertilizer, respectively, accounting for 12.62%-23.66% and 5.34%-7.19%, with an average of 16.94% and 6.45%, respectively. Through surface runoff, soil infiltration and the rice harvest of the aboveground portion, the annual average output of Cd contained in the paddy system is 7.093 g·(hm 2 ·a) -1 . Rice harvest accounts for 85.27%-95.02% of the total output, with an average of 89.69%; surface runoff accounted for 4.57%-13.96% of the total output, with an average of 9.41%; and soil infiltration accounted for 0.41%-1.51% of the total output, with an average of 0.90%. The study indicates that Cd contained in paddy systems in Central Hunan exhibits a net input, and the soil Cd pollution is increasing as a result. Straw returning and straw removal have an important impact on the soil Cd balance, and straw removal can slow the trend of soil Cd pollution accumulation.

Studying the isotope characteristics and water body transformation relationships among different water bodies in the hilly and gully region of the Loess Plateau can provide a theoretical foundation for evaluating regional climate, ecology, and water resources. In this study, daily and monthly averaged δ D and δ 18 O in precipitation, river water, and shallow groundwater were measured in 2017 in the Jiuyuangou watershed, which has a good ecological condition. The compositional relationship between the stable hydrogen and oxygen isotopes in difference water bodies was explored, the influence factors and spatio-temporal variation of δ 18 O in precipitation and river water were analyzed, and the stable isotope conversion ratios between different water bodies in the study area were calculated using the two-terminal mixed model. The main conclusions of the study are as follows:the d- excess of river water showed an increasing trend with elevation during the observation period; the δ 18 O of river water was enriched with increasing distance from the river source and decreased with increasing altitude; temperature, wind speed, and relative humidity had significant effects on the hydrogen and oxygen isotopes of precipitation; precipitation and shallow groundwater replenish the river during the non-flood period, the proportions of which were 46% and 54%, respectively; and during the flood season, the shallow groundwater is replenished by river water and precipitation, the proportions were 60% and 40%, respectively. These results indicate that there is a good conversion relationship between "precipitation-river-shallow groundwater" in the study area. The implementation of soil and water conservation measures has had some influence on the conversion of different water bodies in small watersheds. The results provide a basis for the establishment of water cycle models for hilly and gully regions of the Loess Plateau.

Objective: To compare clinical effect between calcaneal locking plates and tension band with Kirschner's nail for the treatment of patellar fracture., Methods: From December 2009 to December 2017, 58 patients with patellar fracture were divided into plate group(calcaneal locking plate) and tension band(tension band with Kirschner's nail) by surgical method. There were 29 patients in plate group, including 14 males and 15 females, aged from 18 to 72 years old with an average of (36.9±11.5) years old; while there were 29 patients in tension band group, including 17 males and 12 females, aged from 20 to 70 years old with an average of (37.7±14.4) years old. Operative time, blood loss, fracture healing time, follow-up time and postoperative complications were compared between two groups. Böstman score was applied to compared therapeutic effects at 12 months after operation., Results: There was no significant differences in following-up time between plate group(18.4±2.6) months and tension band group(17.8±3.6) months. According to Böstman score at 12 months after operation, plate group was (28.5±4.6) and (25.7±4.3) in tension band group, and had statistical difference between two group( t =2.395, P =0.020). Twenty-six patients got excellent results, 3 moderate in plate group; while 14 patients got excellent results, 11 moderate and 4 poor in tension band group, and had obviously meaning between two groups(χ²=12.17 P =0.02). There were no significant differences in operative time( t =1.978, P =0.53), blood loss( t =1.740, P =0.87), fracture healing time( t =0.65, P =0.517) and postoperative complications(χ²=0.268, P =0.604) between two groups., Conclusions: Calcaneal locking plates for patellar fracture has advantages of more wide range of clinical application, more reliable fixation, and more satisfactory surgical curative method, its clinical effects is better than that of tension band with kirschner nail., Competing Interests: The authors of this article and the planning committee members and staff have no relevant financial relationships with commercial interests to disclose., (Copyright© 2018 by the China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology Press.)

Seagrasses are monocotyledons that grow in intertidal and subtidal zones. Seagrass beds are among ecosystems with the highest ecosystem service value. However, seagrass beds are rapidly decline due to anthropogenic disturbances and global climate change. Enhalus acoroides, a monoecious perennial species, is the largest seagrass in stature. It distributes in tropical regions, with Hainan Island as its northern limits. Clonal diversity and genetic structure of E. acoroides populations in Hainan Island were studied to facilitate its conservation and restoration. We used four polymorphic microsatellites to genotype samples collected from four extant populations. We found low clonal and genetic diversities within populations, consistent with the expectations of genetic structure in edge populations. A large range of genetic differentiation was found between these four populations, probably due to the large range of geographic distances between them and genetic drift by local extinction and recolonization. We found no sign of recent bottlenecks in all the populations, probably due to the within-population genetic diversity being too low to show obvious reduction even after bottlenecks. We proposed suggestions on population conservation for those with high priority. Given that seagrass bed had experienced rapid decline in recent years, strengthened conservation and ecological restoration are urgently needed.

Pot experiments were used to study the differences of Cd uptake and accumulation in double-cropping rice in typical soil types. To analyze the soil availability of Cd (DTPA-Cd) in soils and the Cd accumulation in double-cropping rice at different growth stages of the rice, we conducted pot experiments that selected the yellow clayey soil (paddy soil developed from plate shaley parent materials) and the granitic sandy soil (paddy soil developed from granitic parent materials). Exogenous Cd was added with gradients of 0, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 5.0, and 10.0 mg·kg -1 . Results showed that, during the rice growth period, the available Cd in the yellow clayey soil was higher than that in the granitic sandy soil, and the difference was significant ( P <0.01). This showed that the content of Cd in rice (roots, shoots, leaves, rice shells, and brown rice) increased along with the treatment level and with the extension of the rice growth period. The accumulation characteristics of Cd in rice grains and other tissues of rice indicated differences between two seasons and two soil types, that is, late rice was higher in Cd than was early rice, and reddish yellow clayey soil was higher in Cd than granitic sandy soil. Significant positive linear correlations were found between the effective contents of Cd in soils and those in rice tissues (roots, shoots, leaves, and brown rice). The prediction model of Cd in rice and the characteristic equation for rice accumulation of Cd were applied to calculate the critical values of Cd:0.98 mg·kg -1 for early rice and 0.83 mg·kg -1 for late rice in reddish yellow clayey soil, and 0.86 mg·kg -1 for early rice and 0.56 mg·kg -1 for late rice in granitic sandy soil. These threshold values are higher than the National Standards given in "farmland environmental quality evaluation standards for edible agricultural products (HJ 332-2006)." The soil security threshold values and the soil environmental capacities of the two different parent materials varied greatly; therefore, different environmental quality standards may be formulated and different measures may be needed to control Cd pollution in different parent materials.

Objective: To investigate CT and MRI characteristics of primary spinal large B cell lymphoma., Methods: CT and MRI data of 23 patients with primary spinal large B cell lymphoma confirmed by histopathology were retrospectively analyzed from March 2011 to August 2015. Among them, including 14 males and 9 females aged from 28 to 70 years old with an average of 53.4 years old. The clinical manifestation mainly focus on pain around spinal and minority peripheral nerve symptom. The courses of disease ranged from 2 weeks to 3 months with an average of 9 weeks. Nine patients underwent CT plain scan, 8 patients underwent plain and enhanced CT; 21 patients underwent MRI plain scan and enhanced; 15 patients underwent CT and MRI examination. The location, bone changes, shape, density, signal intensity and enhancement characteristics of lesions were observed and compared with pathology., Results: Location and size of lesion showed cervical vertebrae in 1 case, thoracic vertebrae in 16 cases, lumbar vertebrae in 2 cases, and sacral vertebrae in 4 cases. Mass was larger, the largest cross-sectional size of group was up to 73 mm× 125 mm. CT examination showed that 11 cases with "cloud and mist" shape change, 6 cases with compression fractures, and with "floating ice" shape change, 9 cases with "oversleeve" shape change, 11 cases with spinal stenosis; enhancement scan showed obvious reinforcement. MRI showed slightly low signal on T1WI and T2WI were slightly high signal, and signal was uneven, and enhancement scan showed obvious reinforcement, 13 of 16 cases with spinal canal stenosis changed like "oversleeve", intervertebral space showed no significant stenosis. Comparison of CT and MRI showed the manifestation of bone destruction by CT was superior than that of MRI, but the range of lesion, and related surrounding structures were not better than MRI. MRI displayed the range of lesion usually bigger than CT. Pathology results showed that 23 patients were all primary spinal large B cell lymphoma., Conclusions: Primary spinal large B cell lymphoma has certain features in age, location and imaging findings. Objective: To investigate the cognitive characteristics in early school-age children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) using event-related potential (ERP) and Achenbach Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), as well as the correlation between ERP and behavioral problems., Methods: A total of 22 children aged 6-7 years with ADHD and 19 healthy children matched by age were enrolled. Continue Performance Test-AX (CPT-AX) was performed for ERP test. The amplitude and latency of N2 and P3 of Go and Nogo were compared. The CBCL was completed by the parents, and the correlation between behavioral factors and ERP was analyzed., Results: The ADHD group had a significantly higher number of ERP omissions than the normal control group (10±8 vs 5±4; P<0.05), while the reaction time and number of commission errors showed no significant differences between the two groups (P>0.05). The ADHD group showed a significantly lower Go-N2 amplitude than the normal control group (-8±5 μV vs -10±4 μV; P<0.05). In the ADHD group, the detection rates of hyperactivity, attack, and discipline violation were 27%, 27% and 9% respectively. The scores on attack and discipline violation subscales were negatively correlated with the Go-N2 amplitude of ERP (r=-0.43 and -0.48 respectively; P<0.05), while the score on hyperactivity subscale was positively correlated with the latency of Go-P3 (r=0.50, P<0.05)., Conclusions: The early school-age children with ADHD show the tendency to the impairment of attention/executive function, but the inhibition function defect has not been noted. In early school-age children with ADHD, the behavioral problems such as hyperactivity, attack, and discipline violation are associated with ERP.

Objective: To evaluate the effects of school entrance age on cognition and behaviors in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) using mathematical event-related potential (ERP), behavioral test, and Conners Parent Symptom Questionnaire (PSQ)., Methods: Fifty-eight ADHD children aged 7-12 years were enrolled and classified into older age and younger age groups according to the school entrance age (n=29 each). The children in the older age group were admitted at an age of 6 years and 6 months to 6 years and 11 months, and those in the younger age group were admitted at an age of 6 years to 6 years and 5 months. The ERP with a mathematical task was used to detect the difference in brain electrical activity between the two groups, and the behavioral test results were compared. The children's parents were asked to complete the PSQ, and the scores on each subscale were compared., Results: The ERP detection showed that the older age group had a significantly higher P2 amplitude for wrong answers than the younger age group (10.9±5.0 μv vs 8.5±3.6 μv; P<0.05). The younger age group had a significantly shorter time of response to wrong answers than the older age group (619±340 ms vs 870±418 ms; P<0.05). The scores on the subscales of learning problems and impulse-hyperactivity of PSQ were significantly higher in the younger age group than in the older age group (P<0.05)., Conclusions: School entrance age can affect cognition and behaviors in children with ADHD, and the ADHD children with a younger school entrance age have an obvious defect in executive function, especially the function of error detection, which leads to the prominent problems in impulse-hyperactivity and learning.

Objective: To explore CT and MRI manifestations of the axial area peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumors (pPNETs) in order to improve the knowledge of this disease., Methods: The clinical data of 10 patients with pPNETs underwent pathologically confirmed were retrospectively analyzed from October 2008 to May 2014. There were 7 males and 3 females, aged from 8 to 49 years old with median of 23.6 years. The preoperative multi-slice spiral CT scan was completed in 3 cases, plain CT scan and enhancement in 4 cases; MRI and enhancement scanning in 5 cases; and among them, 2 cases underwent both MRI and CT scan., Results: In-bone type was found 6 cases and out-bone type was found 4 cases. Three cases occurred in sacral vertebrae, 2 cases in lumbar vertebrae, 1 case in cervical vertebrae, 1 case in cervical spinal canal, 1 case in coccyx, 1 case in the right iliac bone, 1 case in presacral space. Cross sectional the smallest tumor maximum level was 1.1 cmx 1.2 cm in size, the biggest tumor was 8.0 cm x 9.2 cm, the median size was 4.4 cm x 5.7 cm, of them, the tumor of maximal diameter larger than 5 cm had 6 cases. Except 2 cases-without destruction of bone, the other 5 cases with osteolytic destruction, 2 cases with calcification, 1 case with mixed. Equidensite was main in CT scan, 1 case with uniform density, other 6 cases with uneven density,in which 3 cases with "floating ice" change; 1 case with moderate strengthening, other 3 cases with obviously strengthening, 2 cases with multiple small blood vessels in enhancement scanning. MRI of 5 cases showed the signal of isointensity on T1WI, the slightly high signal on T2WI and the signal was not uniform; after enhancement scan, the signal of 5 cases obviously enhanced. Two patients complicated with vertebral compression fractures, no periosteal reaction was found in all patients, and no the destruction of intervertebral disk was found in 5 patients of MRI scan., Conclusion: The axial area pPNETs is common among children and the youth, and the mass often is huge. The mass of in-bone type often envelopes the vertebral body, and main located on prevertebral space, all associated with bone destruction, osteolytic destruction is common, and primary vertebral bodies also is common, attachment primary or involvement is few found, it can involve the spinal canal and anterior wall of spinal canal is common, some cases complicate with multiple newly born small vessels. The mass of out-hone type in deep soft tissue is common, minority primary spinal canal, many complicated with vertebral bone destruction, osteolytic destruction was main. The intervertebral disk was not invaded and intervertebral space has not stenosis. CT scan offer complicate with "floating ice" sign, and in-bone type is common. Isointensity is main on MRI TlWI and slightly longer signal is main on MRI T2WI, strengthening signal is obvious.

Objective: To study the diagnostic value of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in cervical spondylotic myelopathy., Methods: Twenty healthy volunteers and fifty patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy underwent DTI in the Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Ningbo University from January 2014 to April 2015. Healthy volunteers served as controls. Fifty patients were divided into three groups (group A , B, C) according to cervical MRI scan standard. Group A (17 cases) had only the dura mater spinalis compressed; Group B (23 cases) showed the cervical spinal cord compressed, but no high signal in it; Group C (10 cases) had the cervical spinal cord compressed with high signal in the same level. The average apparent diffusion coefficients(ADC) and fractional anisotropy (FA)values in these examinee were analyzed and all subjects were performed fiber tracking., Results: There was no statistically significant differences in ADC and FA values in C2/C3, C3/C4, C4/C5, C5/C6, C6/C7 of control group (P>0.05). The average ADC and FA values in control group were (0.875 +/- 0.096) x10(3) mm2/s and 0.720 +/- 0.051, respectively; compared with group A,there was no statistically significant difference; compared with group B and C, there was significant difference; comparison among group A, B, C, there was significant differences., Conclusion: DTI can early and accurately quantify the changes of microstructure in cervical spondylotic myelopathy. Fiber tracking can show the damage range of spinal cord lesions.

Objective: To observe the effects and safety of quadruple regimens including domestically manufactured rabeprazole used as first line/initial therapy for Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) eradication in gastritis and duodenal ulcer patients, and to investigate the effects of extended use of bismuth after the quadruple therapy on eradication of H. pylori., Methods: From January to August 2013, 430 patients with chronic gastritis or duodenal ulcer who were confirmed as H. pylori positive in gastroscopy for upper gastrointestinal symptoms were enrolled from 12 centers in China for initial treatment using quadruple regimens for H. pylori eradication. The study was a prospective, multicenter, randomized double-blinded double-dummy parallel-controlled clinical trial. The 310 chronic gastritis patients were divided into 2 groups: group A1 was given quadruple regime (rabeprazole+ amoxicillin+ clarithromycin+ bismuth potassium citrate) for 10 days followed by bismuth-placebo for 21 days; group A2 was given the quadruple regimen for 10 days and then bismuth potassium citrate for 21 days. The duodenal ulcer patients were given the quadruple for 10 days, then rabeprazole for 14 days. All the patients took (13)C urea breath test to detect H. pylori 28 days after medicine withdrawal., Results: Altogether 428 cases were enrolled and 404 completed the trial. The total eradication rate in the chronic gastritis patients was 85.1% (262/308, intention-to-treat (ITT)analysis), which was 81.7% (125/153, ITT) in the A1 group and 88.4% (137/155, ITT) in the A2 group; the eradication rate in the duodenal ulcer patients was 85.8% (103/120, ITT). No severe adverse effects were reported. The symptoms (pain, burning sensation, reflux, belching, nausea, and vomiting) improvement status was similar among A1 and A2 groups., Conclusions: The quadruple regimen using rabeprazole manufactured in China and administered for 10 days as first line/initial therapy in chronic gastritis and duodenal ulcer patients could achieve good H. pylori eradication rate. The extended use of bismuth after 10-day quadruple regimen might further improve the eradication rate. The regimens containing proton-pump inhibitor and bismuth may be well tolerated and safe in clinical application.

Objective: To determine the mechanism of pseudo-tears of the lateral meniscus caused by the transverse geniculate ligament (TL) and the miniscofemoral ligament(MFL) and to investigate a method to differentiate pseudo-tears from true tear of the lateral meniscus., Methods: Form June 2012 to February 2014, MR examinations of 72 knees (44 left knees and 28 right knees) without tear of the lateral meniscus verified by arthroscopy were performed in the sagittal and coronal plane. There were 41 males and 31 females in the group, with an average age of 33.7 years old (ranged from 25 to 61). The MR appearance of the TL and the MFL was carefully observed., Results: There existed fatty tissue in the gap between the TL and the anterior horn of the lateral meniscus and its central tendinous attachment. On the sagittal images, the fatty tissue formed a linear high-signal cleft between the TL and the anterior horn of the lateral meniscus. This might be mistaken as an oblique tear within the anterior horn of the lateral meniscus. It was called as pseudo-tears of the anterior horn of the lateral meniscus. In sagittal plane, the MFL was identified as a circle-like or short stick-like area of low signal intensity anterior or posterior to the posterior cruciateligament. Nevertheless, a belt-shaped area of low signal intensity from the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus to lateral facet of the medial femoral condyle was identified in the coronal plane. A linear area of high signal intensity between the MFL and the lateral meniscus was found in sagittal plane, which might be mistaken as an oblique tear within the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus. It was called pseudo-tears of the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus. The occurrence rate of the TL was 34.7% (25/72). The prevaleribe of pseudo-tears of the anterior horn of the lateral meniscus was 18 cases. The shape of the anterior horn of the lateral meniscus was regular, and the course of the pseudo-tears cleft was oblique. The occurrence rate of the MFL was 73.6% (53/72), which included the anterior MFL 23.6% (17/72), the posterior MFL 70.8% (51/72) and the two ligaments coexisted 16.7% (12/72). The prevalence of pseudo-tears of the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus was 25 cases. All observed pseudo-tears had either in posteroinferiorly oblique direction (19/25) or in vertical direction (6/25)., Conclusion: Based on the location and direction of pseudo-tears and observation in the continuous sagittal plane and the coronal plane, pseudo-tears is easily differentiated from the true tear of the lateral meniscus

One hundred and fifty-nine serum samples from hydatid disease patients and 80 serum samples from patients with other liver diseases were detected by gold-immunochromatographic assay, and read by naked eyes and the gold-immunochromatographic test strip reader. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of eye-based method was 92.4% (147/159), 85.0% (68/80), and 89.9% (215/239), which was lower than that of the reader detection (95.6%, 93.7%, 95.0%, respectively). While, its false negative rate (7.5%, 12/159) and false positive rate (15.0%, 12/80) was higher than that of the reader detection (4.4% and 6.3%, respectively).

Objective: To explore the diagnostic value of 3D-indirectmagnetic resonance (MR) arthrography in detecting meniscustears of the knees., Methods: Form January 2013 to January 2014, routine plain MR of the knees followed by the 3D-indirect MR arthrography was performed in 42 patients with suspected meniscal tears clinically. There were 31 males and 11 females, with an average age of 38.4 years old (ranged, 21 to 67 years old). The duration of the course ranged from 2 h to 15 d. The clinical symptom was knee pain. All the patients got subsequently arthroscopic examination or operation. The sensitivity and specificity of routine plain MR and 3D-indirect MR arthrography were compared based on the results of arthroscopic examination or operation., Results: The signal intensity in the area of meniscal tears on image of 3D-indirect MR arthrography was obviously higher than that of routine plain MR. The sensitivity of 3D-indirect MR arthrography was 85.79% (87/102), while the routine plain MR was 52.94% (54/102), and the specificity improved from 67.78%(61/90) to 86.67%(78/90). The difference was statistically significant (χ2 = 25.90, P < 0.01; χ2 = 9.13, P < 0.01)., Conclusion: In comparison with the routine plain MR findings, 3D-indirect MR arthrography demonstrates meniscus tears of the knee with the better sensitivity and specificity.

Unlabelled: The alkaliphilichemicellulolytic bacterium Bacillus sp. N16-5 was isolated from Lake Wudunao in Inner Mongolia. It has a broad substrate spectrum and exhibits a capacity to utilize complex carbohydrates such as galactomannan, xylan and pectin. Previous transcriptional analysis of differential carbohydrate utilization by Bacillus sp. N16-5 has identified a putative gene cluster related to xylan utilization. It contains a putative xylo-oligosaccharide ATP- binding cassette (ABC) transporter encoded by xynEFG gene cluster., Objective: xynE gene is predicted to encode an extracellular solute-binding protein of the ABC transporter. Here, the physiological roles of xynE on the xylan utilization was investigated by gene deletion., Methods: We obtained the xynE deficient strain N16-5 (ΔxynE) through homologous recombination using a temperature sensitive shuttle vector pNNB194. The effects of xynE on xylan utilization by N16-5 were detected by comparing the growth profiles on xylan of the wild type and mutant strains as well as the variation of reducing sugars concentration in the medium during cultivation. We further verified the phenotype by constructing the complementary strain. Moreover, the substrate specificity of XynE was illustrated by the HPLC analysis results of the xylan medium components, which was supplemented with the growth profiles of the wild type strain and N16-5 (ΔxynE) strain on xylose., Results: Compared with the wild type strain, strain N16-5 (ΔxynE) had a delayed exponential phase, obtained a lower maximum optical intensity OD600 value, and presented the accumulation and depletion of reducing sugars during cultivation. The complementary strain retrieved the phenotype of wild type strain, and grown slightly better than it. HPLC analysis showed that N16-5 ( ΔxynE) strain degraded the xylan substrates more slowly than wild type, xylo- oligosaccharides like xylotetraose, xylotriose and xylobiose began to accumulate after 16 h cultivation. Moreover it still maitained a large number of the degradation product xylobiose in the medium after 60 h. When cultured in xylose medium, strain N16-5 (ΔxynE) performed similar growth profile with the wild type strain., Conclusion: XynE played an important role in rapidly and effectively utilizing xylan in Bacillus sp. N16-5 and specifically related with xylo-oligosaccharide uptake.

Objective: To clone and express autophagy-related protein 3 (TgAtg3) gene of Toxoplasma gondii, and obtain the specific polyclonal antibody against TgAtg3., Methods: TgAtg3 cDNA was inserted into prokaryotic expression vector pET28a. After identification, the constructed plasmid pET28a-TgAtg3 was transformed into E. coli Rosetta cells, and induced by special induction medium for expression of the protein. The recombinant protein was purified via Ni-NTA affinity chromatography. Western blotting assay was performed with anti-His tag mouse monoclonal antibody as the primary antibody. Rabbits were immunized with 125 μg purified TgAtg recombinant protein. Each rabbit received 4 immunizations at 2-week intervals with the same dose of antigen. The specific anti-TgAtg3 polyclonal antibody was obtained, and analyzed by Western blotting and indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA)., Results: pET28a-TgAtg3 plasmid was identified by restriction enzyme digestion, PCR amplification and sequencing. SDS-PAGE and Western blotting analysis showed that the recombinant TgAtg3 protein (about Mr 44,000) was expressed in E. coli Rosetta cells. TgAtg3 protein from tachyzoite lysates was recognized by the specific anti-TgAtg3 polyclonal antibody. IFA assay determined that the specific polyclonal antibody bound to TgAtg3 protein from the cytoplasm of tachyzoites., Conclusion: The obtained soluble polyclonal antibody against TgAtg3 can specifically react to the endogenous TgAtg3 protein.

Objective: To investigate the type and corresponding operation methods of ulnar lateral mass in distal radial fractures., Methods: From January 2004 to September 2010,32 cases of distal radial fractures with ulnar lateral mass were treated by surgical incision and relocate ulnar lateral mass,including 23 males and 9 females with an average age of (34 +/- 9) years old ranging from 28 to 65 years old. According to the classification of Melone-Doi, 2 cases with type I, 24 cases of type II, 6 cases with type III. The operative appoach involved palm-radial, palm-ulnar, radial-dorsal. Among them, 28 patients with closed fractures were fixed with plate, 4 cases (including 2 cases of open fractures) were fixed by Kirschner pin and braces., Results: Thirty-two patients were followed up for 8 to 18 months with an average of 12 months. All fractures were healing without complications. According to modified Gartland-Werley scoring system (GWSS), the total score was 1.12 +/- 0.45, the remain deformity was 0, subjective evaluation was 0.50 +/- 0.30, objective evaluation was 0.30 +/- 0.21, complications was 0.40 +/- 0.09; the result was excellent in 21 cases, good in 11 cases., Conclusion: The location of ulnar lateral mass in distal radial fractures is one of the important prognostic factors in wrist function and surgical treatment is an effective method of fixing ulnar lateral mass in distal radial fractures.
