Formic acid, with a volumetric hydrogen storage capacity of up to 53 g/L, has relatively low toxicity and flammability, making it convenient for storage and transportation, so it is a promising hydrogen carrier for practical applications. Utilizing formic acid as a hydrogen storage medium can effectively avoid the cumbersome processes of hydrogen liquefaction and compression, thereby achieving efficient utilization of hydrogen energy. The principles of hydrogen production from formic acid were elucidated and the latest research advancements of catalysts in this field were reviewed, including supported heterogeneous catalyst systems and homogeneous catalyst systems comprising precious and non-precious metals. The current development status of skid-mounted formic acid hydrogen production systems and skid-mounted formic acid hydrogen production-fuel cell power generation systems were summarized. The experiment was to optimize the extraction process of proopioid and allocryptinine from the root of Macleaya cordata with the aid of ultrasound. The optimal conditions of extraction time, liquid to solid ratio and extraction times were selected by single factor test, and the optimal extraction conditions were determined by orthogonal test. Proopioid and allocryptomine were purified by silica gel chromatography, and the products were characterized by liquid chromatography, infrared spectroscopy and ultraviolet spectroscopy. The results showed that the ratio of liquid to solid 30 mL/g, once extraction and the extraction time 30 min, the extraction rate of protoopium and allocryptomine was the highest, which were 92.64% and 90.93%, respectively. The results of characterization showed that the extracts purified by column chromatography were identified as allocryptomine and protoopioid. The experiment indicates that the method used in the experiment is simple and fast, which can provide reference for the utilization of the medicinal material resources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article studied the effects of four different carbon sources (glucose, fructose, mannitol and ethanol) on the yield of coconut gels produced by two strains of Komagataeibacter (ATCC 53582 and ATCC 23767), the structure and mechanical properties of coconut gels produced from different carbon sources under the same concentration of carbon source were also studied. When the carbon source was glucose with concentration of 20 g/L, the coconut gel yield of Komagataeibacter hansenii ATCC 53582 was the highest (6.07 g/L). When the carbon source concentration was 30 g/L, the fiber pore diameters (0.61 µm, 0.48 µm and 0.57 µm, respectively) of coconut gel produced with glucose, fructose and mannitol as carbon source were all smaller than those of coconut gel produced with ethanol (1.06 µm), and their storage modulus (210 kPa, 230 kPa, and 170 kPa, respectively) at the same height of coconut gel (0.50 mm) were greater than the storage modulus of coconut gel produced with ethanol (17 kPa). In the tensile test, their Young's modulus (3.54 MPa, 6.49 MPa, and 5.49 MPa, respectively) were also greater than the Young's modulusof coconut gel produced with ethanol (1.62 MPa). Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of meningeal carcinomatosis with nervous system syndrome as initial symptom. Methods Clinical data, laboratory and imageing examinations were retrospectively analyzed in 23 patients of meningeal carcinomatosis from June 2009 to December 2017. Results Twenty patients (86.96%) had headache as initial symptom and 12 (52.17%) had headache with vomiting. Head enhanced MRI showed obvious enhancement in meningeal lesions, and 13 cases (59.09% ) had meningeal enhancement with enlargement of ventricular system; CT showed enlargement of supratentorial ventricular system (1 case). About 65.22% (15/23) primary lesions were originated from lung cancer, and others were originated from colon cancer, hematological lymphoma, gastric cancer, spinal astrocytoma (4.35%, 1/23 respectively), and some unknown origin (17.39%, 4/23). About 82.61% (19/23) patients cerebrospinal fluid pressure increased obviously, Tumor markers especially carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) were mostly increased in serum (11/17) and cerebrospinal fluid (7/10). Conclusions Headache and vomiting are the most common clinical symptoms of meningeal carcinomatosis. Enhanced MRI shows meningeal enhancement or communicating hydrocephalus. Cerebrospinal fluid pressure tends to increase significantly. Carcinoembryonic antigen is significantly increased in serum and cerebrospinal fluid. Primary lesions of meningeal carcinomatosis mostly originate from lung cancer. Finding tumor cells in cerebrospinal fluid is the "golden standard" of diagnosis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
