Objective: To investigate the diagnostic value of real-time three-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography (RT3D-TTE) combined with serum B type brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and soluble growth stimulation expressed gene 2 protein (sST2) in heart failure (HF) after myocardial infarction. Methods: 88 HF patients after myocardial infarction (HF group) who were hospitalized for the first time in Zhongshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Affiliated to Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2020 to November 2022 were selected, patients were divided into grade II group (21 cases), grade III group (39 cases) and grade IV group (28 cases) according to Killip classification. And 88 healthy volunteers who underwent physical examination in our hospital during the same period were selected as control group. All subjects underwent RT3D-TTE examination, and serum BNP and sST2 levels were detected. The correlation between Killip classification and RT3D-TTE parameters, serum BNP and sST2 were analyzed by Spearman rank correlation analysis, the correlation between RT3D-TTE parameters and serum BNP and sST2 were analyzed by Pearson analysis. The value of RT3D-TTE parameters combined with BNP and sST2 in the diagnosis of HF after myocardial infarction was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results: The left ventricular end-systolic volume (ESV), left ventricular end-diastolic volume (EDV), the percentage of standard difference correction value of the time from the beginning of QRS wave to the minimum systolic volume of the left ventricular 16 myocardial segment of the left ventricle to the cardiac cycle (Tmsvl6-SD%) and the percentage of maximum difference correction value to the cardiac cycle (Tmsvl6-Dif%), serum BNP and sST2 levels in HF group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05), and the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05) The levels of ESV, EDV, Tmsvl6-SD%, Tmsvl6-Dif%, serum BNP and sST2 in grade IV group were higher than those in grade II group and grade III group (P < 0.05) and LVEF was lower than that in grade II group and grade III group (P < 0.05) ; The levels of ESV, EDV, Tmsvl6-SD%, Tmsvl6-Dif%, serum BNP and sST2 in grade III group were higher than those in grade II group (P < 0.05), and LVEF was lower than that in grade II group (P < 0.05) Killip classification was positively correlated with ESV, EDV, Tmsvl6-SD%, Tmsvl6-Dif%, serum BNP and sST2 levels in HF group (P < 0.05), and negatively correlated with LVEF (P < 0.05) ESV, EDV, Tmsvl6-SD% and Tmsvl6-Dif% were positively correlated with serum BNP and sST2 levels (P < 0.05) and LVEF was negatively correlated with serum BNP and sST2 levels (P < 0.05) The area under the curve (AUC) of ESV, EDV, Tmsvl6-SD%, Tmsvl6-Dif%, LVEF, BNP and sST2 in the diagnosis of HF after myocardial infarction was 0.908, which was higher than that of each factor alone. Conclusion: The RT3D-TTE parameters ESV, EDV, Tmsvl6-SD%, Tmsvl6-Dif%, serum BNP and sST2 levels increased and LVEF decreased in HF patients after myocardial infarction, and combined detection of RT3D-TTE parameters, serum BNP and sST2 could improve the diagnostic value of HF after myocardial infarction. FLOW velocity , *CONTRAST media , *CORONARY arteries , *BLOOD flow , *HEART beat - Abstract
Cardiac CT, or coronary CT, is a medical imaging technique that involves injecting iodine contrast agents into blood vessels to visualize the heart's coronary arteries. Cardiovascular specialists utilize these images to diagnose coronary artery blockages and assess blood flow velocity. Prior to the examination, patients are required to maintain a stable heart rate, typically not exceeding 60 beats per minute. Medications such as β-receptor blockers and nitroglycerin may be administered to reduce heart rate if necessary. This technology offers rapid imaging, minimal side effects, and low rates of false negatives and false positives. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To study the clinical effect of heart rate corrected QT (QTc), heart rate corrected Tp-Te (Tp-Tec) interval combined with serum brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and galectin-3 (Gal-3) in predicting ventricular arrhythmia (VA) after acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Methods: 182 AMI patients who were treated in Jinan People's Hospital from January to July 2023 were select- ed as study subjects. Group based on whether VA occurred during hospitalization, with 71 patients with VA as the observation group and 111 patients without VA as the control group. The levels of QTc, Tp-Tec, serum BNP and Gal-3 were detected and compared between two groups. The influencing factors of VA after AMI were analyzed by multivariate Logistic regression analysis, the predictive efficacy of QTc, Tp-Tec combine with serum BNP and Gal-3 on VA after AMI were analyzed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results: The levels of QTc, Tp-Tec, serum BNP and Gal-3 in observation group were higher than those in control group (P<0.05). Multi- variate Logistic regression analysis showed that elevated QTc, Tp-Tec, BNP and Gal-3 and double/multiple vascular lesions were risk factors for VA after AMI. ROC curve analysis showed that, the combined detection of QTc, Tp-Tec, BNP and Gal-3 had the best predictive efficacy for VA after AMI, with AUC of 0.864, sensitivity of 92.50%, specificity of 79.83% and Youden index of 0.723. Conclusion: The levels of QTc, Tp-Tec, BNP and Gal-3 in VA patients after AMI are increase, and are risk factors for VA after AMI. The combine detection of QTc, Tp-Tec, BNP and Gal-3 has a good predictive value for VA after AMI. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

MENSTRUAL cycle , *CHINESE medicine , *INDUCED ovulation , *HEART beat , *EMBRYO implantation - Abstract
Poor ovarian response (POR) is a pathological condition in which the ovary responds poorly to gonadotropins, and is a major constraint on the unsatisfactory outcome of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET). Follicular growth, development, maturation, and expulsion are all affected by the yin-yang balance between heart and kidney, as well as the elevation exchange. If the heart and kidney essence and blood are insufficient, water and fire are out of harmony, and qi movement is not smooth, fewer high-quality follicles will be recruited and acquired during the ovarian stimulation cycle, resulting in a low transferable embryo rate and unacceptable pregnancy result. Sympathetic treatment of heart and kidney should be based on the following principles at different stages of the IVF-ET cycle: replenishing the heart, kidney, essence, and blood before entering the cycle, in order to nourish the essence and assist in the growth of the follicles; nourishing renal water, and clearing heart fire during the pituitary down-regulation period, in order to lessen the negative effects of the down-regulation medicinals; regulating the depression of the heart, liver, spleen, and kidney meridians during the follicle's retrieval period, in order to encourage the smooth release of the ova; and warming heart and kidney fire to improve endometrial tolerance during the implantation period. The application of the theory of intercourse of heart and kidney to elucidate the pathogenesis of POR is critical to the development of clinical strategies for fertility enhancement, as well as providing new ideas for the clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine in the field of reproduction. Aiming at the limitations of traditional train comfort research in the long-term service monitoring of subway train comfort, this paper presents a comprehensive evaluation method of subway train comfort based on mobile terminals. By investigating the types of sensors integrated in mobile terminals, it is determined that the factors affecting the comfort of subway trains are vibration, noise and illuminance. Combined with questionnaire survey and analytic hierarchy process, the weight coefficients of each factor's influence on the comfort of subway trains are determined. The evaluation models and evaluation standards of each factor are established based on the existing standards and simulation experiments, and then the evaluation method of subway train comfort is determined. The proposed method is integrated into the self-developed mobile terminal APP to realize large-scale collection of train comfort data. In order to objectively verify the feasibility of this method, the experimental data from professional measuring instruments, mobile terminals and wearable devices are collected in the subway line experiment. The results of the analysis show that: when the train is running smoothly, the relative errors of the vibration, noise and illuminance comfort evaluation values collected by the mobile terminal shall not exceed 5%, 15% and 18% respectively; the noise comfort evaluation value accounts for 67.8% and 76.5% of the total evaluation value under two working conditions, therefore the greatest influence on train comfort is noise; the evaluation results of subway train comfort based on the proposed method tend to be consistent with the analysis results of heart rate variability frequency domain indicators (LF, HF and LF / HF ), which objectively verify the feasibility of the evaluation method. The mobile terminal-driven subway train comfort evaluation method can provide new ways and ideas for large-scale monitoring of subway train comfort and long-term service performance evolution analysis. Objective: To explore the application effect of different doses of remifentanil combined with remifentanil in painless gastroscopy in children. Methods: 165 pediatric patients who underwent painless gastroscopy from May 2023 to November 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into four groups using a random number table method, namely R1 (n=40), R2 (n=40), R3 group (n=40), and Matched group (n=45). Patients in the Matched group were intravenously injected with 2 mg/kg propofol and 7% fentany l μg/kg, R1, R2, R3 groups intravenous injection of fentanyl 7 μg/kg and Remazolam, R1 group Remazolam is 0.2 mg/kg. The R2 group is 0.3 mg/kg, and the R3 group is 0.4 mg/kg. Gastroscopy should be performed when all patients have improved alertness/calmness (MOAA/S) scores ≤ 1. Compare the success rate of sedation, onset time of sedation, awakening time, gastroscopy examination time, and number of times of remedial sedation among four groups of children. Evaluate the degree of sedation using MOAA/S scores before administration, after initial administration, before endoscopy, and immediately after examination. Record the changes in heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rate (HR), and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) of the four groups of children before anesthesia induction (T0), at entry (T1), and after anesthesia induction (T2), Finally, compare the incidence of adverse reactions among the four groups of children. Results: There was no difference in the recovery time and gastroscopy examination time among the four groups of patients(P>0.05). The success rate of sedation in the R3 group was higher than that in the R1 group, R2 group, and Matched group. The onset time of sedation and the number of times of remedial sedation were lower than those in the R1 group, R2 group, and Matched group (P<0.05); There was no difference in MOAA/S scores among the four groups of patients before administration and immediately after examination(P>0.05). After the first administration and before endoscopy, the MOAA/S scores of R3 group patients were lower than those of R1 group, R2 group, and Matched group (P<0.05); There was no change in blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) levels and heart rate (HR) levels at T0, T1, and T2 time in the four groups of patients, and there was no difference between the four groups(P>0.05). The HR levels of patients in the T2 and R3 groups were stable, but there were fluctuations between the R1 and R2 groups and the Matched group. The T1 and R3 group was lower than the R1 and R2 groups and the Matched group (P<0.05); The incidence of adverse reactions such as injection pain, laryngeal spasm, hypoxemia, hypotension, and bradycardia in patients in R1, R2, and R3 groups was lower than that in the Matched group (P<0.05), but there was no difference in the comparison of R1, R2, and R3 groups(P>0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Remazolam and Alfentanil can improve the sedative effect during gastroscopy in children, and Remazolam at a dose of 0.4 mg/kg is more effective. It can further improve the success rate of sedation, reduce the number of times of remedial sedation, and do not increase the awakening time. The sedative effect is better, and it can stabilize the heart rate level during the examination of children, with higher safety. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Deltamethrin (DM) has been widely used as a type II pyrethroid insecticide. Its high lipophilicity allows it to easily pass through the blood-brain barrier and affect the nervous system. However, its impact on the early neural development of zebrafish and the mechanism of toxicity remains unclear. In this study, zebrafish (Danio rerio) embryos were exposed to DM with different concentration of 0,10, 20 and 50 µg⋅L
-1 to analyze the development and movement ability. The neurotoxicity of DM to zebrafish larvae was evaluated on the development of the nerve cells of transgenic zebrafish line. The results showed that the frequency of spontaneous coiling decreased 41.2% (P<0.001) by 50 µg⋅L-1 DM exposure at 24 hpf. The hatching rate of all the DM exposure groups was higher than the control group and heart rate were significantly increased in 20 and 50 µg⋅L-1 groups (P<0.01, P< 0.0001), and the body length was significantly reduced (P<0.01) at 36 hpf. These results showed that the effect of DM on embryo development was dose-dependent. Through the analysis of the spontaneous swim, light-dark stimulus and open field behavior of zebrafish larvae, it was found that zebrafish larvae became sluggish in those three scenarios, indicating that DM exposure affected the mobility of zebrafish, and the ability to respond to external environmental stimuli and the ability to actively explore new environments was weakened. Further analysis of transgenic zebrafish strains with specific markers for neural cell systems found that DM exposure caused a significant decrease in the number of nerve stem/progenitor cells in zebrafish (P<0.01, P<0.001), neuronal cell activity was enhanced, and the number of apoptotic cells was significantly increased (P<0.0001). The results suggested that the neurotoxicity of zebrafish larvae induced by DM is related to the nerve cell viability. DM is toxic to the central nervous system of zebrafish by destroying the number of nerve stem / progenitor cells, over-activating neurons and promoting apoptosis of nerve cells, thus affecting the behavior of zebrafish embryos and larvae. Objective To investigate the perioperative analgesic effect of ultrasound-guided bilateral thoracolumbar interfascial plane block (TLIPB) in patients with discogenic low back pain (DLBP) undergoing percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy (PTED). Methods Fifty-seven patients with discogenic low back pain admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from January 2022 to April 2022 were randomly divided into group A (control group)with 28 patients and group B (ultrasound-guided bilateral thoracolumbar interfascialinterfacial plane block group) with 29 patients. The differences of visual analogue scale (VAS) at rest and turning over were compared between the two groups preoperative (t0), 2 hours postoperative (t1), 6 hours postoperative (t2), 12 hours postoperative (t3) and 24 hours postoperative (t4). The differences of quality of recovery-15 scores (QoR-15) were compared between the two groups preoperative and 24 hours postoperative. The changes of mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR) were compared between the two groups after entering the operating room (T0), at the time of skin incision (T1), at the time of foraminoplasty (T2), at the time of the most severe pain recognized by the surgeon (T3), and at the end of the operation (T4). Adverse events were recorded during the operation and within 24 hours postoperative. Results All patients successfully completed the operation and ultrasound-guided bilateral TLIPB, without intervertebral space infection, spinal cord, nerve root and vascular injury, and serious complications such as nausea and vomiting. VAS scores at rest and turning over and QoR-15 scores at 24 hours postoperative were significantly lower than preoperative in the two groups (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups at rest at preoperative and postoperative time points (P > 0.05). There were significant differences in VAS scores at 2 hours, 6 hours and 12 hours postoperative between the two groups (P < 0.05). There were significant difference in QoR-15 scores between the two groups at preoperative and 24 hours postoperative (P > 0.05). There was a significant difference in QoR-15 scores between the two groups at 24 hours postoperative (P > 0.05). There were significant differences in MAP and HR between the two groups at the time of foraminoplasty (T2) and at the time of the most severe pain recognized by the surgeon (T3) (P< 0.05). Conclusions Ultrasound-guided bilateral thoracolumbar interfascial plane block can effectively relieve the pain after PTED, reduce the occurrence of perioperative stress response and adverse events, accelerate the postoperative rehabilitation of patients, and shorten the postoperative duration of hospitalization. [Objective] When evacuating people during accidents in high-plateau environments, those affected by high-altitude reactions are prone to physical and cognitive problems, such as slow behavior and slow response, which affect their cognitive response and independent decision-making. Therefore, studying evacuation problems in a high-plateau environment is significant for a more efficient emergency evacuation. However, environmental variations such as altitude and oxygen concentrations in plateau areas are difficult to control, and large experimental costs make it difficult to conduct evacuation field tests. Therefore, a low-oxygen experimental platform was designed to simulate a high-plateau environment. [Methods] Through literature research and laboratory experiments, three control experimental schemes, an up-and-down step experiment, a 90 s running experiment, and a reaction ability experiment, were designed to simulate evacuation scenarios based on physiology and cognition. The control experiments were conducted on a low-oxygen experimental platform and a high-altitude field. Heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and reaction speed were collected as evaluation indices of physiological and psychological dimensions. Statistically, the differences in experimental data between the high-plateau field and low-oxygen experimental platform were compared. The experimental data of the three groups were tested for normality. To analyze the difference between the two groups, non-normally distributed experimental data were analyzed using the independent sample Mann-Whitney U test, while normally distributed experimental data were analyzed using the independent sample T-test. [Results] In the up-and-down step experiments, the progressive significance of the heart rate and blood oxygen levels obtained from the low-oxygen experimental platform and Lhasa Gongga Airport were 0.052 and 0.112, respectively, which were greater than the significance level (P = 0.05), and no significant difference was found between the two experimental results. In the 90 s running experiment, the progressive significance of the heart rate and blood oxygen levels obtained from the low-oxygen experimental platform and Lhasa Gongga Airport were 0.953 and 0.780, respectively, which were significantly greater than the significance level (P = 0.05). No significant difference was found between the two experimental results. In the reaction ability experiment, the T-test results had P-values of 0.211 and 0.204, which were >0.05. No significant difference was noted between the experimental results obtained in the high-altitude field experiment (Nyingchi Airport and Lhasa Gongga Airport) and the low-oxygen experimental platform simulation. [Conclusions] By integrating statistical ideas and analyzing datasets, the low-oxygen experimental platform can simulate the field environment of a high-plateau airport within a certain range of error tolerance based on the results of an up-and-down step experiment, 90 s running experiment, and reaction ability experiment. The experimental platform can serve as a basic support for experimental research and innovation for man-machine safety and occupational health. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Dong qi, referring to beating beside the navel, was proposed for the first time by Nan Jing. "Beating above the navel" " beating below the navel", and "beating below the heart" in Shanghan Lun all belong to the category of Dong qi. The pathogenesis of Dong qi can be learned from Shanghan Lun. Yang deficiency of the heart, spleen, and kidney, with qi failing to transform body fluids, results in fluid retention. Fluid retention is the key etiological factor of Dong qi. Although there is an exterior pattern with Dong qi, the exterior-releasing and purgative method cannot be used for treatment, or the patient will be impaired of yang and exhausted of yin, fluid circulation will be disturbed, and so on. Reinforcing yang qi to drain water retention is the treatment principle of Dong qi. The coupled medicines of Fuling and Guizhi were commonly used by ZHANG Zhongjing to treat Dong qi. This reflects the treatment principle of strengthening the spleen and warming yang for transforming qi to circulate body fluids. ZHANG Bi, a physician from the Yuan Dynasty who learned from ZHANG Zhongjing, thought that the treatment of Dong qi was based on the method of cultivating earth to restrain water and taking into account the ascending, descending, entering, and exiting of qi of the liver, heart, lung, and kidney while tonifying the spleen, and then created Baoming Siqi Powder (Zhiqiao, Fuling, Fangkui, and Qianhu Powder) for the treatment of Dong qi, which is of great significance to the clinic. Objective. To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of perioperative electroacupuncture on postoperative abdominal pain in patients undergoing general anesthesia laparoscopic surgery. Methods.A total of 130 patients undergoing general anesthesia laparoscopic surgery were randomly divided into control group and experimental group. The control group received surgery under endotracheal intubation general anesthesia, while the experimental group received one session of electroacupuncture analgesia before and during anesthesia in addition to routine general anesthesia. The preoperative and postoperative pain Numerical rating scale (NRS), Pain Catastroph- izing Scale (PCS), Bruggrmann comfort scale (BCS), heart rate, and blood pressure were compared between the two groups. The occurrence of common adverse reactions after surgery, such as significant itching, rash, nausea, and vomiting, was observed. Results. No significant difference in activity NRS score was found between the two groups after surgery (P = 0.618). Compared with the control group, the experimental group had lower resting NRS score (2.05 ± 1.138),(1.62 ± 0.878), P = 0.017, lower PCS score (20.57 ± 8.538),(17.09 ± 8.291), P = 0.020, and higher BCS score after surgery (2.08 ± 1.035),(2.55 ± 1.046), P = 0.010, and decreased heart rate (76.17 ± 14.500),(70.85 ± 11.990), P = 0.024. There was no significant difference in systolic blood pressure between the two groups 12 and 24 hours after surgery (P > 0.05). A decrease in systolic blood pressure 24 hours after surgery was found in the experimental group when compared to that before surgery (125.6 ± 15.725), (123.60 ± 16.781), P = 0.040. Conclusion.Perioperative electroacupuncture stimulation can relieve postoperative abdominal pain, reduce heart rate and blood pressure, but does not increase the occurrence of adverse reactions. ZEBRA danio embryos , *ECOLOGICAL risk assessment , *METHIONINE , *SELENOMETHIONINE , *SUPEROXIDE dismutase , *HEART beat , *AZOXYSTROBIN - Abstract
To investigate the developmental effects of combined exposure of azoxystrobin and selenomethionine on aquatic organisms, a semi-static test method was used to determine the developmental toxicity of combined exposure of azoxystrobin and selenomethionine in equitoxicity ratios on embryo and larvae of zebrafish as aquatic model species, as well as the effects on related enzyme activities. These results showed that: after the combined exposure of azoxystrobin and selenomethionine with different concentrations (0.1+0.2, 0.25+0.5, 0.5+1.0 and 1.0+2.0 mg/L) (the mass of selenomethionine was calculated as the mass of selenium, and the same below), the embryos showed a decrease in the autonomic movement frequency, a decrease in hatching rate, an increase in mortality rate, and a decrease in heart rate. At the same time, and body length of hatching larvae was significantly inhibited with an obvious time-dose-effect relationship. Compared with the control group, the activity of catalase (CAT) was significantly decreased in different combined exposure groups (0.0005+0.001, 0.005+0.01 and 0.05+0.1 mg/L), and the high concentration combined exposure group (azoxystrobin 0.05 mg/L and selenomethionine 0.1 mg/L) showed the most significant inhibitory effect (P < 0.01), while it had no significant effects on the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD). Compared with the control group, the combined exposure group of the highest concentration (0.05+0.1 mg/L) significantly inhibited the activity of the mitochondrial respiratory chain complex Ⅲ(P < 0.05), while the combined exposure groups of other concentrations had no significant difference. The results suggested that the combinations of azoxystrobin and selenomethionine (0.1+0.2, 0.25+0.5, 0.5+1.0 and 1.0+2.0 mg/L) could cause developmental toxicity effects on zebrafish embryo and larvae, however, the combinations of azoxystrobin and selenomethionine at actual environment-related concentrations will not cause any developmental toxicity effects except for inhibiting the activity of CAT. These results can provide data support for monitoring the concentrations of azoxystrobin and selenomethionine in aquatic environment and the ecological risk assessment of their combined exposure in the future. BADMINTON (Game) , *HEART beat , *BADMINTON players , *POSITION sensors , *JUNIOR colleges - Abstract
Introduction: During a badminton game, athletes need to perform high-intensity tasks such as jumping, lunging, changing direction quickly, and hitting the ball. The tactics are highly different between singles and doubles games. Understanding the difference in match load between singles and doubles games could help in the design of proper training plans and recovery strategies. The aims of this study were to quantify the work load of badminton players and to compare the differences in match load between singles and doubles players. Methods: Fifteen junior college men's badminton team players were recruited as experiment participants. Each player wore two Capture.U inertial sensors (wrist and lower back), a Polar H10 heart rate sensor (chest), and a Global T1 local positioning system sensor (shoulder). Each participant played one singles and one doubles simulated match and then recorded their work load during the match. The difference in singles and doubles match loads was analyzed using the dependent sample t-test. Results: Banister's TRIMP, average heart rate, maximal heart rate, distance covered, and average speed of singles players were higher than those of doubles players. However, sRPE and player load were not significantly different. Singles players also played a higher number of shots and had a greater stroke frequency and sum of acceleration peaks. The number of shots, stroke frequency, and sum of acceleration peaks were higher in doubles combinations than in singles. Conclusion: The higher heart rate and average speed of singles players and the greater distance they covered indicate that singles matches had a higher physical load. In doubles matches, the number of shots was higher and stroke frequency and sum of acceleration peaks were greater, suggesting that they had a higher hitting load. In conclusion, singles matches impose higher physical demands, whereas doubles matches require focus on technical and tactical skills. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

PAHS are a kind of organic chemical pollutants with high melting point and boiling point, low vapor pressure, insoluble in water and easily soluble in benzene aromatic solvents, which seriously harm the survival and growth of fish. PAHS can induce neurodegeneration and affect neurodevelopment, damage gill tissue and affect the physiological function of respiratory system, affect the heart contraction and change the heart rate, so that the heart shape changes, damage the physiological structure of digestive organs and affect metabolic activities. It can affect the expression of non-specific immune functional genes and inhibit the proliferation of specific immune cells. It can also hinder the secretion of sex hormones and reduce the gonadal index. In the paper, the research progress on the physiological harm of PAHS to fish in recent years was reviewed, in order to provide reference for controlling PAHS pollution and healthy fishery production. ENDOSCOPIC hemostasis , *RECEIVER operating characteristic curves , *LOGISTIC regression analysis , *GASTROINTESTINAL hemorrhage , *HEART beat - Abstract
To investigate the value of AIMS65 score combined with serum gastrin (GAS), prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and urea nitrogen/albumin ratio (BAR) in assessing clinical outcomes after endoscopic hemostatic treatment in patients with acute non-variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding (ANVUGIB). A total of 108 ANVUGIB patients, who were admitted to the Gastroenterology Department of Beijing Hepingli Hospital between May 2020 and may 2022, were selected and divided into poor prognosis and good prognosis groups according to the prognosis of the patients within 28 d of hospitalization. Patients' clinical data were collected, serum GAS and PGE2 levels were measured and AIMS65 score and BAR were calculated. Multi-factor logistic regression was used to analyze the factors influencing poor prognosis after endoscopic hemostasis treatment in patients with ANVUGIB. The value of the AIMS65 score, GAS, PGE2 and BAR in assessing poor prognosis after endoscopic hemostasis treatment in patients with ANVUGIB was analyzed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. The incidence of poor prognosis in 108 patients with ANVUGIB after endoscopic hemostasis treatment was 37.96%(41/108). Univariate analysis showed that the poor prognosis group was older than the good prognosis group, with higher heart rate, shock index, AIMS65 score, GAS and BAR than the good prognosis group, and lower PGE2 levels than the good prognosis group (all P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that increasing age and shock index, aims65 score, gas and bar elevation were independent risk factors for poor outcome after endoscopic hemostatic therapy in ANVUGIB patients, and increasing PGE2 was an independent protective factor(all P<0.05). ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve for the AIMS65 score combined with GAS, PGE2 and BAR to assess poor prognosis after endoscopic hemostasis treatment in patients with ANVUGIB was greater than for the AIMS65 score, GAS, PGE2 and BAR alone (all P<0.05). The AIMS65 score, GAS and BAR of patients with poor prognosis of ANVUGIB were higher than those with good prognosis. The AIMS65 score combined with GAS, PGE2 and BAR is of high value in assessing clinical outcomes after endoscopic hemostatic treatment in patients with ANVUGIB. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ATTENTION-deficit hyperactivity disorder , *HEART beat , *ABILITY testing , *AGGRESSION (Psychology) , *ERROR rates , *IRRITATION (Pathology) , *CONGENITAL hypothyroidism - Abstract
Objective We aimed to construct an animal model of combining disease with syndrome of yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children, so as to promote the development of new drugs for the treatment of ADHD. Methods Young spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) were used as ADHD model rats. SHR were randomly divided into four groups according to body mass( n = 8): the SHR group, the model group, the Xiaoer Huanglong Granule low dose (XEHL-L) group (1. 88 g / kg) and the Xiaoer Huanglong Granule high dose (XEHL-H) group (3. 75 g / kg). The WKY group and the Wistar group were also set up (n = 8). Rats in the model group, the XEHL-L group and the XEHL-H group were subcutaneously injected with levothyroxine sodium (0. 3 μg / g) daily for 14 days, and rats in the other groups were subcutaneously injected with normal saline. From the 11th day, rats in the XEHL-L group and the XEHL-H group were given drugs by gavage for 21 days, and rats in the other groups were given normal saline by gavage. The diet volume, water volume, defecation volume, urine volume, heart rate, respiratory rate, and specific values of the tongue image red vector (R), green vector (G) and blue vector (B) were used as evaluation indicators of the syndrome of yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity. The degree of autonomous activity, the degree of social preference, the ability of attention set transfer and the degree of irritability were used as the behavioral indexes of ADHD to evaluate the model. Results Compared with the model group, the heart rate of rats in the other groups was decreased (P<0. 05), the respiratory rate of rats in the SHR group and the XEHL-H group was decreased (P<0. 05, P<0. 01), and the G and B values of tongue images of rats in the WKY group and the XEHL-H group were decreased (P< 0. 05). The degree of autonomic activity showed that except for the central area residence time, all indexes in the model group were higher than those in the WKY group (P<0. 05), and the distance in the central region was higher than that in the SHR group (P<0. 05). The degree of social preference showed that compared with the Wistar group, rats in the model group spent less time with strangers and the ratio of time with strangers was lower (P< 0. 01). The attention set transfer ability test showed that the error rate in the EDS reverse learning stage was lower in the XEHL-L group than in the model group (P<0. 05). The irritation experiment showed that the aggressive behavior in the model group was increased compared with that in the WKY group (P< 0. 05). Conclusion A more stable and reliable model of ADHD syndrome with yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity can be obtained by injecting young SHR with levothyroxine sodium. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

OBJECTIVE: To explore the intervention effects of Ligusticum Chuanxiong extract on rats with chronic heart failure and explore its mechanism through Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. METHODS: The rat model of chronic heart failure was established by abdominal aortic constriction combined with strenuous swimming. Electrocardiogram was used to detect the changes of electrocardiogram before and after modeling. After successful modeling, the rats were divided into the model group (n =10) and experimental group (n =10), and 10 rats without model were set as the control group. The experimental group was given Ligusticum Chuanxiong extract (100 mg/kg) once a day for 4 weeks, and the control group and model group received the same amount of 0. 9% sodium chloride solution gavage. At the end of the experiment, the heart rate and respiratory rate of rats in each group were detected, and LVIDd, LVIDS, LVEF and LVFS were detected. The pathological state of rat heart tissue was detected by hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. Ultrastructural changes of heart tissues were detected by electron microscope, and the expression of key molecules Dvl3, GSKβ, β-catenin in heart tissues was detected by Western blotting. RESULTS: Ultrasound results showed that LVIDd and LVIDS of the model group were significantly higher than those of control group, LVEF and LVFS were significantly lower than those of control group, LVIDd and LVIDs of experimental group were significantly lower than those of model group, LVEF and LVFS were significantly higher than those of model group, the differences were statistically significant (P <0. 01). HE staining and electron microscopy results showed that heart tissues of the model group were damaged, while the experimental group was less than the model group. Western blotting results showed that expression levels of Dvl3, GSKβ and β-catenin in the model group were significantly higher than those in the experimental group, and there was a significant downward trend compared with the model group (P<0. 01). CONCLUSIONS: Ligusticum Chuanxiong extract has protective effects on the heart of chronic heart failure rats, and its mechanism is related to the inhibition of Wnt/β-catanin signaling pathway. As a broad-spectrum antibiotic, sulfamethoxazole (SMX) has been widely used and frequently detected in various water bodies. In order to study the developmental toxicity of SMX to zebrafish ( Danio rerio), embryos within 3 hours after fertilization (hpf) were treated with different concentrations (CK: 0 μg·L-1, S4: 4 μg·L-1, S40: 40 μg·L-1, S400: 400 μg·L-1 ) of SMX solution until 120 hpf. The hatchability of zebrafish embryos, the mortality rate, heart rate, body length and malformation rate of larvae and other developmental parameters were observed. Besides, the contents of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) and the transcriptional levels of genes involved in GH/IGF-axis in zebrafish were detected. The results showed that exposure to 40 μg·L-1 and 400 μg·L-1 of SMX significantly resulted in increased mortality and malformation (pericardium cyst, spinal curvature, tail deformity, etc.), and shortened body length. SMX stress exhibited no significant effects on the hatchability of zebrafish, but decreased the heart rates of embryos and larvae. In addition, under SMX exposure, the levels of GH and IGF-1 in larval fish were significantly increased, while SMX exposure down-regulated the transcription of several genes along GH/IGF-axis, including gh1 (0.30-, 0.17- and 0.10-fold), ghrb (0.74-, 0.36- and 0.39-fold), igf1(0.75-, 0.23- and 0.33-fold) and igf1ra(0.49-, 0.22- and 0.72-fold). It seemed that the response of hormones had a delay compared with the transcriptional change of genes. The current results indicate that SMX induces embryo developmental toxicity in zebrafish, and may inhibit the early growth of zebrafish via slowing heart beat and/or interfering with GH/IGF axis. Background: The continuous monitoring of body surface temperature has been proven to help detect potential fever events in hospitalized patients. However, the efficacy of using body surface temperature to detect fever in older adults remains unclear due to the relatively low and slower-to-change body surface temperature in this population. Purpose: This study was designed to investigate 1) the relationship between changes in body surface and routine tympanic temperatures, 2) the correlation between body surface temperature measurement frequency and detection of fever, and 3) the factors related to the incidence of fever in hospitalized older adults. Methods: A prospective study was conducted on 33 hospitalized older adults aged 65 years or older who were suspected to have or diagnosed with an infection in an infectious disease and medical ward at a medical center in southern Taiwan from March to November 2020. Demographic, routine tympanic temperature, and heart rate data were collected by reviewing the participants' medical records. Body surface temperatures were monitored continuously using HEARThermo every 10 seconds until one of the following conditions were met: hospital discharge, no fever for three continuous days, and HEARThermo was removed. Descriptive analysis was used to compare the variations in body surface temperature and routine tympanic temperature measurements. Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between different measurement frequencies and fever events. Finally, mixed effects logistic regression was used to analyze the factors significantly related to fever events. Results: Seven hundred and twenty routine body temperature measurements were taken, with 209 (29.0%) fever events detected in 23 (69.7%) of the participants. The body surface temperatures were more closely correlated with tympanic temperatures during fever events than non-fever events (r = .260, p < .001). More fever events were detected using body surface temperature monitoring frequencies of every 10 seconds and every 1 minute. After controlling for demographic factors, the results of the mixed effect model indicate that body surface temperature and heart rate are significant factors related to fever events in hospitalized older adults (odds ratio, OR: 1.74, p < .001; OR: 1.11, p < .001). Conclusions/ Implications for Practice: The continuous monitoring of body surface temperature may improve the detection of fever events in hospitalized older adults. The application of wearable devices and cloud platforms may further facilitate the real-time assessment and care capabilities of nurses, thus reducing their workload and improving care quality. The hemodynamic indexes [mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR)], myocardial injury indexes [troponin (cTnI), creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB), heart fatty acid binding protein (HFABP)], brain injury indexes [neuron specific enolase (NSE), S-100β],cellular immune function, analgesia situation and incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results: The HR and MAP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at 10 min (T2) after the beginning of CPB, but higher than those in the control group at the end of CPB (T3) and the end of operation (T4) (P<0.05). Visual analogue scale (VAS) scores in the two groups increased and then decreased before operation (T1), 24 h after operation and 48 h after operation (P<0.05), and VAS scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at 24 h after operation and 48 h after operation (P<0.05). 48 h after operation,CD4+and CD4+/CD8+in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while CD8+was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The cTnI, CK-MB and HFABP in the observation group at 48 h after operation were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). NSE and S100B in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at 48 h after operation (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Dexmedetomidine combined with fentanyl anesthesia scheme for patients undergoing cardiac valve replacement can help relieve pain, stabilize hemodynamics, reduce immune suppression, and also play a protective effect on the heart and brain, reducing the incidence of adverse reactions, which is a reliable anesthesia program. MONTREAL Cognitive Assessment , *MINI-Mental State Examination , *OLDER patients , *ESOPHAGEAL cancer , *HEART beat - Abstract
Objective: To investigate the value of dexmedetomidine and sevoflurane combined anesthesia in elderly patients undergoing radical resection of esophageal cancer, and to observe the changes of cellular immune function, stress response and cognitive function. Methods: 96 elderly patients with esophageal cancer who were treated in our hospital from January 2021 to June 2022 were included. The patients were divided into group A (32 cases, sevoflurane), group B (32 cases, sevoflurane combined with propofol) and group C (32 cases, sevoflurane combined with dexmedetomidine) by random number table method. The changes of hemodynamic indexes, stress response indexes, cellular immune function and cognitive function in the three groups were observed, and the occurrence of adverse reactions in the three groups was recorded. Results: The heart rate (HR) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) at immediate endotracheal intubation (T1) ~operation completion (T3) time points in group B and group C were lower than those in group A, and the group C was lower than the group B (P<0.05). The epinephrine (E), norepinephrine (NE) and dopamine (DA) in group B and group C at 3 d after operation were lower than those in group A, and the group C was lower than the group B (P<0.05). The CD4+, CD3+and CD4+/CD8+in group B and group C at 3 d after operation were higher than those in group A, and the group C was higher than the group B (P<0.05). 3 d after operation, CD8+in group B and group C was lower than that in group A, and the group C was lower than the group B (P<0.05). The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score and Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) score in group B and group C were higher than those in group A, and the group C was higher than the group B (P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) in group C was lower than that in group A and group B (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of POCD between group A and group B (P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the three groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Combined anesthesia with sevoflurane and dexmedetomidine in elderly patients with esophageal cancer undergoing radical surgery can maintain hemodynamic stability, improve stress response, immunosuppression and cognitive impairment, and the effect is good. ECTOPIC pregnancy , *PREGNANT women , *FETAL heart , *HEART beat , *ALKALINE phosphatase , *DIAGNOSTIC errors - Abstract
Objective: To investigate the diagnostic value of serum INH-A expression combined with transabdominal ultrasound in ectopic pregnancy. Methods: 60 patients with ectopic pregnancy treated in our hospital from January 2018 to August 2021 were selected as the research object and divided into the observation group. Another 60 normal pregnant women who came to our hospital for physical examination in the same period were selected as the control group. All pregnant women were treated with serum inhibin-A (inh-a), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) β-Human chorionic gonadotropin(β-All pregnant women were diagnosed by transabdominal ultrasound. The expression levels of ALP, β-HCG and INH-A in serum of the two groups were compared, and the diagnostic results of transabdominal ultrasound were compared between the two groups. The diagnostic value of single diagnosis and combined diagnosis of serum INH-A and transabdominal ultrasound in ectopic pregnancy of the two groups were analyzed. Results: ALP of pregnant women in the observation group β-The level of hCG was lower than that of the control group, and the level of INH-A was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). In the observation group, the incidence of no fetal heart beat, no intrauterine pregnancy sac, adnexal mass and endometrial thickness less than 10 mm were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). By comparing the detection rate of ectopic pregnancy in72 patients, it was found that the detection rate of combined diagnosis was significantly higher than that of serum INH-A and transabdominal ultrasound, and the misdiagnosis rate and missed diagnosis rate of combined diagnosis were lower than that of serum INH-A and transabdominal ultrasound (P<0.05); By comparing the detection value of different tests, it was found that the accuracy and sensitivity of combined diagnosis were significantly higher than those of the other two single test methods (P<0.05), and there was no difference in the detection value of specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value among the three diagnostic methods (P>0.05). Conclusion: The application of serum INH-A expression combined with transabdominal ultrasound diagnosis can improve the accuracy and sensitivity of ectopic pregnancy diagnosis, so it can be considered for patients with suspected clinical symptoms of ectopic pregnancy to apply the combined diagnosis, improve the diagnostic accuracy.
