As deep mining becomes prevalent in China's coal mining industry, coal-gas compound dynamic disasters pose increasing threat to the safety production of coal mines. This paper adopts the field data of Pingmei No. 8 coal mine for analysis, with the attempt to predict coal-gas compound dynamic disaster through convolutional neural network. Following the routine of the big data processing, we first employed Box-plot analysis and multiple interpolation method(MI)to clean the data. Combined with grey relation analysis(GRA), we established a coal-gas compound dynamic disaster index system. Then, principal component analysis(PCA)is used for dimensionality reduction of the data. Combined with the convolution neural network(CNN)in deep learning, we established the coal-gas compound dynamic disaster prediction model based on BMGP-CNN. The field data is used to compare and verify this model with BP, random forest(RF), support vector machine(SVM)and artificial neural network(ANN). It is found that BMGP-CNN model yields prediction results with satisfactory accuracy and quick convergence. The results offer implications for the prediction and prevention of coal-gas compound dynamic disasters.

Objective To analyze the forkhead box L2 neighbor (FOXL2NB) expression in colorectal cancer (CRC) and its potential clinical significance, and to explore the role of FOXL2NB in CRC cells. Methods Real time qPCR and Western blot were used to analyze the expression of FOXL2NB in CRC tissues and cells. Transwell and CCK-8 assay were used to investigate the effect of FOXL2NB on the proliferation and migration in SW620 cell line. Kaplan-Meier and multivariate Cox regression analysis were used to evaluate the prognostic significance of FOXL2NB in CRC patients. CIBERSORT R package was used to calculate the correlation between FOXL2NB expression and immune cell infiltration in CRC tissues. limma R package was used to calculate the genes that significantly correlated with FOXL2NB expression. Results The mRNA and protein levels of FOXL2NB were significantly increased in CRC cell lines and tissues (P＜ 0.05). High level of FOXL2NB was associated with shorter overall survival and progression free survival in CRC patients (P＜ 0.05), which could be used as an independent risk factor for CRC prognosis (HR=2.27, 95% CI=1.78-2.9, P＜ 0.001). FOXL2NB knockdown inhibited the migration and proliferation of CRC cells. Cell adhesion molecules and tumor immune-related pathways were significantly enriched in CRC with high FOXL2NB expression, CD8+ T cells and activated dendritic cells were significantly increased, while M0 macrophages were significantly decreased. FOXL2NB expression was positively correlated with SCRT2, MGAT5B, SELENOV, FOXB1, KCNA4, LRRC14B and SLC32A1 genes. Conclusions FOXL2NB is highly expressed in CRC and potentially predicts poor prognosis. FOXL2NB might promote CRC cell proliferation and migration.

In deep mining, coal-rock is in a state of three unequal forces, and the intermediate principal stress has the influence on the deformation and strength characteristics of coal-rock. This study studied the deformation and seepage characteristics of gas-bearing composite coal-rock under different intermediate principal stresses by using true triaxial gas-solid coupling seepage test device for coal and rock. The results show : ① With the increase of intermediate principal stress, the strain in the direction of maximum principal stress first increases and then decreases when the peak strength is reached, and there is widening gap between the strain in the direction of intermediate principal stress and the strain in the direction of minimum principal stress.② Under low intermediate principal stress, the strain in the intermediate principal stress direction shows expansion and deformation, and when there is relatively high intermediate principal stress, the ε2-Δσ curve reaches the peak and then bounces back, and the strain in the intermediate principal stress direction finally shows compression and deformation.③ With the increase of intermediate principal stress, the trough value of relative permeability coefficient decreases, and the peak inflection point of relative permeability coefficient curve is consistent with the inflection point of ε1-Δσ curve.④ When the stress peak is reached, the total input energy of the specimen first increases and then decreases, which is similar to the changes of the specimen strength: The elastic strain energy first increases and then decreases, the dissipative energy continues to increase, Ue/U first increases and then decreases, and Ud/U first decreases and then increases.

The research on coal breaking mechanism by high-pressure water jet can provide theoretical basis for water jet equipment manufacturing and construction technology research. In this paper, based on the investigation of a large number of related literatures at home and abroad, we summarized the relevant theories of coal breaking mechanism by high pressure water jet. From the perspective of the structure of water jet and mechanical properties of coal, this paper introduces the stress wave theory of crushing, quasi-static elastic fracture theory, the theory of cavitation and broken and crack propagation mechanism of broken coal at all stages about crushing theory researches. In view of the applicability and limitations of various current coal breaking theories, it is suggested that further research can be carried out from three directions: improving the coal breaking mechanism of water jet, two-phase jet and new jet mode.

To achieve micro-scale roll gap shape adjustment, roll profile electromagnetic control technology was proposed and a φ270 mm×300 mm roll profile electromagnetic control experimental platform was designed and built. Meanwhile, a mathematical model based on electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical coupled parameters was established. The results of both the experiment and simulation were compared and analyzed under the same process conditions. The comparison shows that the experimental and simulated results are in the agreement, thus verifying the model. Based on the simulated results, the roll crown and the roll crown growth rate changing with heating time were calculated under different equivalent current densities and frequencies. The influence of current density, frequency and heating time on the roll profile curve was presented. In addition, reasonable technological parameters were used in order to avoid local overheating of the electromagnetic stick and further facilitate adjustment of the roll crown.

To obtain a superhydrophobic aluminum alloy surface, a kind of special coupling structure was fabricated on the aluminum alloy surface by a couple ways which was electro-brush plating combined with laser processing. The surface has excellent anti-adhesion and corrosion resistance property. The contact angle can reach as high as 155.1°, while the sliding angle less than 5.6°. The morphological feature, chemical structures, and wettability of resultant surfaces were characterized by scanning electronic microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and water contact angle measurements. The surface corrosion resistance was researched by a corrosion resistance experiment. The results show that surface consists of micro-scale grooves and like-cauliflower mastoids, the grooves in a regular arrangement with mastoid structures for a coupling structure on the surface. The special coupling structure makes the surface already have superhydrophobicity. The wettability of the surface changes from hydrophilicity to superhydrophobicity. There have no peaks from other phases can be detected between electro-brush plating surface and aluminum alloy substrates. The peak intensity is changed by laser processing, and the organization structure of the material is further refined. The corrosion resistance of the surface that is fabricated by couple ways improves.

To improve the applicability of automatic emergency braking system (AEBS) in urban traffic conditions, a control strategy based on driving behavior characteristics was proposed. Firstly, a driver-in-the-loop test platform was constructed to collect driving data from different drivers during braking processes, and analyze the relationship between driving behavior characteristics and the relative motion state between vehicles. Then, a two-level warning and braking control strategy was designed based on the idea of hierarchical control. The upper-level controller determined the braking deceleration, warning, and braking trigger time thresholds, while the lower-level controller designed a fuzzy PID controller to control the brake master cylinder pressure. Finally, CarSim and Matlab/Simulink were used to simulate a rear-end collision scenario with a stationary vehicle, and an unmanned driving wire-controlled chassis test platform was constructed for semi-physical experiment verification. The results showed that both the two-level warning and braking functions can be effectively triggered, the actual braking deceleration can closely follow the desired braking deceleration during braking, and the inter-vehicle distance can be controlled at around 2.15 m after braking, indicating the excellent warning and emergency avoidance performance of the designed AEBS. To improve the accuracy of the self-developed robot in assembly of prefabricated arc parts, a T-shaped triple prism fine adjusting method is designed. Three fine adjusting schemes for prefabricated arc parts are introduced, and their improving principles are displayed. The self-developed robot realizes intelligent assembly of prefabricated arc parts with a low labor consumption and safe operation. Atherosclerosis is harmful to human health. Under pathological conditions including hypertension and hyperlipidemia, increased levels of pro-inflammatory immunocytes in perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT), “whitening” of brown adipose tissue, and oxidative stress could promote the development of PVAT inflammation. PVAT inflammation could induce various crucial stages of atherosclerosis by disturbing secretion of inflammatory and anti-inflammatory adipokines, inhibiting PVAT cell autophagy, and activating angiogenesis in arterial adventitia, thereby promoting the onset and progression of atherosclerosis.

Accurate classification of drainage and extraction reservoir types of coalbed methane wells can lay a foundation for the study of pressure propagation in drainage process. Taking 3# coal seam of Changcun Mine Field as the research object, the main parameters affecting the conductivity of coal reservoir and the recharge capacity of surrounding rock in the process of drainage and extraction are analyzed and selected. The method of obtaining these parameters is proposed, and the critical value is determined. The study area is divided into four types of drainage reservoirs. The water production and gas production of CBM wells in the field verify the reliability of the theory. The significance of classification of drainage and extraction reservoir types was discussed. The results show that the study area can be divided into high-conductivity weak supply reservoir, high-conductivity strong supply reservoir, low-conductivity weak supply reservoir and low-conductivity strong supply reservoir. Among them, the high conductivity and weak recharge reservoir is most conducive to reduce coal reservoir pressure, showing the characteristics of small water production and short casing pressure time. The low conductivity and strong recharge reservoir shows the characteristics of large water production and long casing pressure time.

Based on the characteristics of typical water-rich sand layers on the line 1 of Nantong Urban Rail Transit, a high-performance grouting material for water-rich sand layers was prepared by optimizing the mixture ratio and mixing Z205 with high-performance grouting material additive, the key properties and field grouting properties of high performance shield grouting material and traditional grouting material are compared and studied. The results show that the initial setting time and bleeding rate of the grouting material can be reduced by decreasing the water-binder ratio, decreasing the content of Bentonite and adding a certain proportion of Z205, and the stone rate, compressive strength and water dispersion resistance can be improved. The results of field grouting tests show that the high performance grouting material corresponding to the mix ratio of group Z3 has little effect on the grouting pressure and grouting speed,but the actual maximum grouting volume can be reduced by 17%. For the disturbance such as shadows, lights, cracks and other factors, current road marking segmentation methods could not achieve accurate segmentation. This paper proposed the road marking segmentation method based on splitting and merging algorithm. By analyzing the features of gray, edge, texture of road marking lines, it used the bresenham algorithm to judge whether there were road marking lines in the detected images. Road images were divided into road marking areas and non-road marking areas by road marking lines. Secondly, it used two methods which were the region merging method based on the center of gravity lines of gray value and the region merging method based on the gray and edge feature of road marking areas to complete the mergence of road marking areas. The experimental results show that the proposed method, which has a higher accuracy of segmentation and good robustness, can well meet the needs of the real-time processing of images acquired by road detection vehicles. The term ''rewriting'' proposed by André Lefevere has been translated into Chinese in two versions-- ''Gaixie( ...) ''and''Chongxie( ...) ''. An analysis of the theoretical background of the term shows that Lefevere's rewriting theory takes advantage of Russian formalism,reception aesthetics and Marxist literary theories. After tracing the development of Lefevere's theory and conducting a detailed etymological study on the English prefix ''re-''as well as the two Chinese characters concerned,it is pointed out that ''Chongxie''is a more reasonable translation of ''rewriting''in that it can better cover the wide-ranging research objects of Lefevere's theory,reflect the essence of Lefevere's idea about challenging the author-centered and text-centered paradigms,and reveal the philosophical significance of the original term. Aiming at the housing price difference is so significant between regions. The structure, behavior and performance analysis frame and HHI, LB and LI index are used to test the housing market concentration, effectiveness and performance. As well as we took the 31 regions and 35 large and media cities for a sample. The main conclusions are: The market concentration is much lower than the international criterion in all of regions. In order to further investigate the mine pressure behavior of thin-bedrock in fully-mechanized sublevel caving face, this paper took the thick coal seam mining under thin bedrock roof in Sima Coal Mine of Lu' an Group as a case in point. The structural characteristics of immediate roof in longwall top coal caving face with thin bedrock roof were studied by using of numerical simulation, theoretical analysis, in-site measurement, etc. Mechanical model of immediate roof in longwall top coal caving face with thin bedrock roof was established, and the formation mechanism and breakage law of semi-arch structural model of immediate roof were also analyzed. The results indicate that the immediate roof is divided into two types as type I and type II based on the thickness and rock properties of immediate roof in Sima Mine thin bedrock area; semi-arch structural model of immediate roof is easily formed, when mining height is 6.5 m and the thickness of immediate roof is more than 15 m; the phenomenon of short weighting interval, big static pressure, little dynamical pressure, little coefficient of live load is presented in mining pressure behavior; the regular breaking of semi-arch structure is the root of mining properly explains the law of mining pressure behavior of thin bedrock roof pressure behaviors of thin bedrock roof in longwall top coal caving face. Based on the methods of numerical simulation, theoretical analysis, field measurement and so on, the breakage mechanism of overlying strata of ultrathin bedrock and thick coal seam and mining-induced development were studied. The results indicate that with the weathering, mechanical property of ultrathin bedrock substantially reduces, there are key overburden in coal roof, stress arch is in dynamical balance by mining, and apsidal angle is located in gangue of worked out section and coal wall in front of working face, underground pressure of working face is not obvious with the influence of stress arch; stress arch prevents the growth of the fracture during mining, the growth of the fracture during mining depends on the final height of the stress arch, fracture grows quickly and closes easily, although the height is gigantic, valid water-guiding crack does not grow high finally. The research result properly explains the phenomenon of big static pressure, little dynamic pressure, little coefficient of live load, insufficiency of fracture growing and so on under conditions of fully-mechanized top-coal caving mining with ultrathin bedrock and thick coal seam, made safe and efficient production come true under conditions of fully-mechanized top-coal caving mining with ultrathin bedrock and thick coal seam. From April 14 to October 10, 2009, the dynamic changes of Robinia pseudoacacia sap flow in the hilly-gully region of Loess Plateau were measured with thermal dissipation probe. Mean- time, the photosynthetic active radiation (PAR), air temperature, relative air humidity, water vapor pressure deficit (VPD), wind speed, and rainfall were monitored. The diurnal variation of the sap flow velocity (SFV) displayed a single-peak curve, but the pattern varied among different months. In April, the sap flow started to increase at about 12:00, and reached the peak at about 18:00. From May to August, the sap flow started to increase at 5:30-7:30, and reached the peak at about 15:00. In September and October, the sap flow started to increase at about 8:00, and reached the peak at 11:30-13:00. The monthly average SFV was the highest in August and the lowest in April, with the value being 0.002610 cm∙s-1 and 0.000549 cm∙s-1, respectively. During the monitoring period, the sap flow velocity was significantly correlated with PAR, air temperature, VPD, wind speed, and air relative humidity, and the correlation coefficients declined in the order of air temperature>VPD>PAR>relative humidity>wind speed. The sap flow velocity could be estimated by the linear equation with variables PAR and VPD, and the regression coefficients were highly significant. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Porosity in the core region of the bar is a fatal defect in the bar rolling process. It significantly affects the product quality. In this paper, the concept of relative density is introduced to represent the porosity defects. The change of the relative density has been simulated using compressible rigid-plastic finite element method. By the simulation results, the influence of processing parameters on the pore closure in the core of bar is analyzed. The shortcomings of several existing methods of similarity measure are pointed out after analyzing their principles. By introducing Hausdroff distance in pattern recognition field, each generalized fuzzy number is viewed as an image sample, and then a new formula of similarity measure is constructed. Eighteen sets of generalized fuzzy numbers are used to compare the proposed method with the existing similarity measures. The classical DS evidence theory involves counter-intuitive behaviours when the high conflict information exists. On the base of the two modification ideas, the modification of combination rules and the modification of evidence sources, this paper analyzed some typical existing modification methods and proposed to extract the intrinsic characteristics of the existing evidence sources by using evidence distance theory. With the application of the extracted feature, three modification methods were proposed. From the results of the numerical examples, the three proposed methods can not only realize the modification ideas, but also provide reasonable results with good convergence efficiency. The delay time represents the variations of some parameter measured in delay-line type of the SAW sensors, so the precise extraction of the delay information from the reflected wave is the key in the process. In order to improve the sensitivity and resolution of wireless SAW sensor, the method of quadrature coherent detection which is based on the poly-phase filtering was used to process the signals of reflected wave. The results of both the simulation and experiment demonstrate that this quadrature sampling method can greatly reduce the error of the measuring system and also make the system easy to implement. Objective To investigate whether ischemic preconditioning (IP) attenuates endothelial injury induced by arterial puncture. Methods Rabbits were divided into control group, ischemic preconditioning group (IP group), femoral artery puncture group (P group) and ischemic preconditioning+femoral artery puncture group (IP-P group). The expression of PI3K, AKT and eNOS in endothelial tissue was determined by immuno-histochemistry. p-AKT and p-eNOS were detected by Western blot. eNOS was detected by RT-qPCR. Plasma NO was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Results The expression of PI3K, AKT and eNOS in the vascular endothelium of IP-P group was higher than that from P group and lower than that from IP group(P＜0.05). The expression of p-AKT and p-eNOS in IP-P group was higher than that from P group(P＜0.05). The expression of eNOS in IP-P group was higher than that from P group and lower than that from IP group(P＜0.05). Plasma NO level in IP-P group was higher than that in P group and lower than that in IP group (P＜0.05). Conclusions IP promotes eNOS phos-phorylation and NO synthesis in rabbit vascular endothelium, which may be one of the potential mechanisms by which IP reduces endothelial injury before arterial puncture.

Combined with the occurrence characteristics of China’s low permeability coal seam and the advantages and disadvantages of various permeability enhancement technologies, the technical methods to improve the permeability of coal seam are classified and compared, and the technology, equipment, application effect, existing problems and defects and applicable conditions of each permeability enhancement method are systematically sorted out. The development trend of permeability enhancement technology is prospected, and it is pointed out that permeability enhancement technology will work in combination with various permeability enhancement methods, and permeability enhancement equipment will develop towards intelligent and unmanned direction.

Revealing the spatiotemporal coupling relationship between urbanization and ecosystem services can help to clarify regional development differences, optimize the implementation path of urbanization, and improve the quality of ecosystem services. Taking southeastern Fujian, a region with a good ecological foundation and strong urbanization potential, as a case study, the levels of multidimensional urbanization systems and typical ecosystem services of this region in the years 2000, 2010, and 2020 were quantified using the index comprehensive evaluation method and the InVEST model. The Pearson correlation coefficient and the coupling coordination degree model were used to analyze the spatiotemporal coupling relationship between urbanization and ecosystem services, and suggestions for improving regional coordinated development were proposed. The results showed that： ① The comprehensive urbanization level in southeastern Fujian increased continuously, with an average annual growth rate of 7.3%, of which social urbanization was the fastest, followed by economic urbanization and population urbanization, and spatial urbanization was relatively backward. Ecosystem services tended to decline, especially food and water provision services, which decreased by 61.9% and 46.9%, respectively. The spatial distribution showed a mismatch pattern of "high urbanization level and weak ecosystem services" in the southeast coastal area and "low urbanization level and strong ecosystem services" in the northwest inland area. ② The correlation between urbanization and ecosystem services was mainly negative. The negative effect of economic and social urbanization on ecosystem services was weaker than that of population and spatial urbanization, with a clear weakening tendency. As population and spatial urbanization slowed down sharply and economic and social urbanization accelerated, the driving force of urbanization development gradually shifted from "quantitative increase" to "qualitative improvement." Thus, the decline of ecosystem services was alleviated. ③ Comprehensive urbanization and various ecosystem services experienced three stages of "imbalance-transition-reconciliation," with an average increase of 60.5% to 120.6% in the coupling coordination degree. However, highly coordinated regions remained scarce, indicating that there is still significant room for improvement. The relative relationship between urbanization and ecosystem services evolved from urbanization lag to ecosystem services lag. The fluctuation problem of backward coupling coordination level caused by excessive urbanization had initially appeared in the southeastern coastal area. Therefore, in future construction, southeastern Fujian should improve economic quality and social benefits； strengthen the overall management, protection, and restoration of ecological space； and enhance the order and stability of the coordinated development of urbanization and ecosystem services.

Qidong ( qi change) in Qidongzeyou (（）, pulse change indicates the abnormal changes inside body) in the Book of Pulse ( Maishu ), the Bamboo Slips of Han Dynasty in Zhangjiashan is related to the classical thought on qi and the theory on meridians at early era. The connotation of qidong was explored in views of interdisciplinary perspectives, such as Chinese medicine, philology and qi philosophy in the ancient time. It refers to the pulse changes as mentioned in ancient medical books, indicating the abnormal changes in the body. Before the ancient medical canonization marked as sphygmology, the ancient medical scholar focused on qi monism. Based on the thinking mode as analogy and detecting the root from the phenomenon, it is believed that qidong refers to the imbalance of qi activity inside the body, manifested with the abnormal pulse change at relevant pulse region on the body surface. Accordingly, the disorders inside the body are detected by palpation.

Focused on different rehabilitation ages grassland in Wuqi County in loess hilly region, the present study aimed to explore niche characteristics of populations and their influence factors. The results showed that the dominant species were Artemisia sacrorum, A. leucophylla, A. scoparia, Lespedeza daurica and Poa sphondylodes, and the dominant species varied along with the rehabilitation age. The niche breadth of dominant populations increased with increasing rehabilitation age from 5 to 10 years, indicating enhanced adaptability to the environment. The niche breadth indices of the populations decreased from 10 to 20 years, and then increased from 20 to 25 years. After 25 years, the niche breadth of the grassland narrowed gradually, indicating weakened adaptability. The niche breadth indices of most populations peaked at 10 and 25 years, respectively. There was no li-near relationship between synthetic dominance index and niche breadth in different grass communities. With the increasing rehabilitation age, the niche overlap indices were highest at 15 years with a single hump pattern, indicating that the interspecific competition increased to the highest at 15 years and then decreased. It was shown that attitude, soil water content (SWC) and soil organic matter content (SOM) were the main factors affecting the niche breadth, while soil total nitrogen content (STN), attitude and SWC were the main factors affecting the niche overlap. There was no linear relationship between niche breadth and niche overlap of tested species in different rehabilitation ages due to resource spatial heterogeneity and growth stages of grass species. These findings indicated that with the increasing rehabilitation age, the population adaptability to the environment are generally enhanced and the resource competition among populations increases and then decreases. It was concluded that attitude, SWC and STN were the key environmental factors that affect population adaptability and interspecific relationship in natural grassland of loess hilly region.

Objective: To assess the efficacy of vinorelbine (NVB)-based regimens in patients with metastatic triple negative breast cancer (mTNBC) pretreated with anthracyclines and taxanes., Methods: Clinical data of 48 patients diagnosed and treated for mTNBC between 2004 and 2012 at the Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS) were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were pretreated with anthracyclines and at least one taxane in neo-adjuvant, adjuvant or chemotherapy for mTNBC and patients should be having at least one measurable metastatic lesion. Totally, 48 patients were included in this study, of which 21 cases received first-line chemotherapy and 27 cases received second-line chemotherapy. Based on the regimen they received, 22 patients were treated with NVB plus platinum (NP), and 26 patients with NVB plus capecitabine (NX)., Results: After 70 months follow-up, in the total group of patients, the objective response rate was 20.8%, clinical benefit rate was 43.8%, median progression free survival (PFS) was 4.4 months and median overall survival (OS) was 15.5 months. In addition, the ORR was significantly better in the NP arm versus NX arm (33.8% vs.7.7%, P=0.029) as well as PFS was statistically improved in the NP arm than NX arm (5.3 m vs. 3.0 m, P=0.023). Similar trend was observed in the OS, although the difference was not statistically significant (27.7 m vs. 14.8 m, P=0.077). In all, the most frequently reported adverse events were G1/2 gastrointestinal toxicity (68.8%) and neutropenia (62.5%) . No significant difference was observed between the NP arm and NX arm (P>0.05). The percentage of patients who delayed chemotherapy administration in the NP arm and NX arm was 9.1% (n=2), and 3.8% (n=1), respectively., Conclusions: NVB-based combination chemotherapy demonstrates moderate efficacy in mTNBC patients pretreated with anthracyclines and one taxane with manageable toxicity. NP regimen shows potential superiority over NX regimen, and should be further verified in randomized phase III clinical trial in larger cohort.

A novel macromolecule flocculant, polyethyleneimine-sodium xanthogenate (PEX), was applied in the treatment of wastewater containing Cr(VI) ions. The trapping performance of PEX for Cr(VI) ions was studied, and effects of selective important factors, such as initial Cr(VI) concentration, pH value, coexisting inorganic substance and turbidity etc., on the removal of chromium by PEX were investigated. The experimental results indicated that PEX could efficiently remove different concentrations of chromium in strong acidic media. The maximum removal rate of Cr(VI) and total Cr reached 99.1% and 96.6% at pH 2.0, respectively. The existence of influencing substance (e. g. NaCl, NaF, Na2SO4, CaCl2 and turbidity) would inhibit the removal of Cr(VI) ions, and promote the removal of total Cr to some extent. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis showed that the behaviors in the removal of Cr(VI) ions included reduction and chelation. Cr(VI) ions were reduced to Cr(III) ions by dithiocarboxylic acid groups on the PEX molecule, and then chelating reactions existed between Cr(III) ions and dithiocarboxylic acid groups and amino groups of PEX.

Objective: To detect the Th1 and Th2 cell percentage in pleural effusion mononuclear cells (PEMCs) stimulated by early secretory antigenic target protein-6 (ESAT-6)/culture filtrate protein-10 (CFP-10) fusion protein (E/C) with flow cytometry (FCM), and therefore to explore the local antigen specific Th1 and Th2 response and its diagnostic value in tuberculous pleuritis., Methods: Forty patients with tuberculous pleural effusion and 30 patients with malignant pleural effusion were included in this study from Sep.2008 to Mar.2009. PEMCs were isolated and cryopreserved. After resuscitation, the cells were cultured with E/C (simultaneously with positive control and negative control), and antigen-specific Th1 and Th2 cells were detected with intracellular cytokine staining of FCM. Normal distribution data using t test, abnormal distribution data using Wilcoxon test., Results: In the TB group,the medians (quartile range) of Th1 cells and Th1/Th2 ratio among PEMCs stimulated by ESAT-6/CFP-10 fusion protein were 3.06% (1.59%-6.92%) and 17 (7.38-35.53), significantly higher than those of the negative control [0.38% (0.02%-1.80%) and 3.59 (0.49-25.09)], the differences being statistically significant (Z = -5.345 and 3.314, P < 0.01). The percentage of Th2 cells [(0.22 ± 0.19)%] was also increased compared with that of the negative control [(0.10 ± 0.08)%], the difference being statistically significant (t = 4.108, P < 0.01). In the malignant effusion group, the medians (quartile range) of Th1 percentage and Th1/Th2 ratio were 0.12% (0.05%-0.39%) and 1.05 (0.25-2.52), which were significantly different as compared with those of the TB group (Z = -6.624 and -5.536, P < 0.01). The Th2 percentage in the 2 groups were (0.22 ± 0.19)% and (0.15 ± 0.02)%, respectively (t = 1.954, P > 0.05). The receiver operating characteristic curve indicated that the area under the curve (AUC), sensitivity, and specificity were 0.937, 85.4%, and 90.6% respectively for Th1 to diagnose tuberculous pleurisy. For Th1/Th2, the AUC, sensitivity, and specificity were 0.883, 81.5%, and 90.6% respectively., Conclusions: The feature of ESAT-6/CFP-10 fusion protein-specific Th1 and Th2 response in tuberculous pleurisy was a mixed reaction of Th1 and Th2 with Th1 predominance. Th1 percentage and Th1/Th2 ratio could be diagnostic indexes for identifying tuberculous from malignant pleural effusions.

Objective: To analyze the clinicopathologic factors related to recurrence and metastasis of stage II or III colon cancer after radical resection., Methods: The clinical and pathological data of 628 patients with stage II or III colon cancer after radical resection from Jan. 2005 to Dec. 2008 in our hospital were retrospectively reviewed and analyzed., Results: The overall recurrence and metastasis rate was 28.5% (179/628). The 5-year disease-free survival (DFS) rate was 70.3% and 5-year overall survival (OS) rate was 78.5%. Univariate analysis showed that age, smoking intensity, depth of tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis, TNM stage, gross classification, histological differentiation, blood vessel tumor embolus, tumor gross pathology, multiple primary tumors, preoperative and postoperative serum concentration of CEA and CA19-9, and the regimen of adjuvant chemotherapy were correlated to recurrence and metastasis of colon cancer after radical resection. Multivariate analysis showed that regional lymph node metastasis, TNM stage, the regimen of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy, and preoperative serum concentration of CEA and CA19-9 were independent factors affecting the prognosis of colon cancer patients., Conclusion: Regional lymph node metastasis, TNM stage, elevated preoperative serum concentration of CEA and CA19-9, the regimen of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy with single fluorouracil type drug are independent risk factors of recurrence and metastasis in patients with stage II-III colon cancer after radical resection.

Objective: To investigate the epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment status of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) in our hospital., Methods: Medical records of 252 patients with neuroendocrine tumors diagnosed and treated in our hospital from January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2009 were collected and retrospectively reviewed in this study. The clinicopathological data including age of onset, initial symptoms, primary site, pathological conditions (Sny, CgA, Ki-67), disease stage at diagnosis, treatment, and follow up were analyzed., Results: The gender ratio M/F of the 252 cases was 1.9:1, with mean age of 55.2 years, and the high incidence was in age of 60-69 years. The tumors were located in the gastrointestinal tract (117 cases, 46.4%), broncho-pulmonary system (74 cases, 29.4%), other sites (61 cases, 24.2%) and unknown primary site (2 cases, 0.8%). Their first clinical symptoms vary, depending on the primary site. The common symptoms of primary rectal NETs were changes in bowel habits (29.3%) and diarrhea or constipation (17.5%), and most gastric NETs presented epigastric discomfort (86.4%). Most patients (71.4%) were diagnosed with stage I, II, III disease. Among the 252 cases, there were 110 carcinoids (43.7%), 108 neuroendocrine carcinomas (42.9%), 23 atypical carcinoids (9.1%), five neuroendocrine tumors (2.0%), four Merkel cell tumors (1.6%), and two composite carcinoids (0.8%). 206 patients (81.7%) received surgery, 39 (15.5%) received chemotherapy, and 31 cases (12.3%) were treated by palliative radiotherapy., Conclusions: This single-center retrospective analysis of data demonstrated that males have a higher incidence rate than females. The most common primary sites of NETs are the digestive tract and lungs. The initial symptoms of NETs are different depending on their primary sites. Good prognosis can be achieved in the majority of patients after surgery, chemotherapy and palliative radiotherapy.

Objective: To compare the diagnostic performance of A.TB, an ELISA-based interferon-gamma release assay (IGRA), and T-SPOT.TB, an ELISPOT-based IGRA, and therefore to evaluate the value of A.TB assay in the routine clinical practice., Methods: From March to May of the year of 2011, 112 hospitalized patients were enrolled from 2 chest hospitals in Beijing and Harbin, including 75 cases in the TB group (43 male and 32 female) with the average age of (44 ± 18) years, spanning from 28 to 57 years, and 37 cases in the non-TB group (21 male and 16 female) with the average age of (54 ± 10) years, spanning from 24 to 82 years. During the same period, 34 healthy volunteers (4 male and 30 female), with the average age of (20 ± 0.6) years, spanning from 19 to 22 years, were recruited in Beijing Chest Hospital. A head-to-head comparison of the 2 IGRAs was performed on the 146 subjects to evaluate their overall diagnostic performance. Chi-square test or Fisher's exact test was used for statistical analysis of enumeration data., Results: The sensitivity and specificity of A.TB were 81.3% (61/75, 95%CI = 72.5 - 90.2) and 83.1% (59/71, 95%CI = 74.4 - 91.8) respectively, compared to 90.7% (68/75, 95%CI = 84.1 - 97.3) and 78.9% (56/71, 95%CI = 69.4 - 88.4) for T-SPOT.TB. There was no significant difference in sensitivity or specificity (chi square values were 2.77 and 0.17 respectively, both P > 0.05). The area under the ROC curve was 0.90 (95%CI = 0.84 - 0.95) for A.TB and 0.91 (95%CI = 0.86 - 0.96) for T-SPOT.TB. The observation agreement between the 2 methods was 87.2% (123/141), with a kappa value of 0.74. T-SPOT.TB produced indeterminate results at a rate of 3.4% (5/146)., Conclusions: There was comparable diagnostic performance between the 2 assays. However, when compared to T-SPOT.TB, the A.TB testing procedure, with less technical demand and without requirement of well-equipped lab, is simpler and the interpretation of results is less subjective.

Objective: To evaluate the sensitization effect of polysorbate 80 from different factories on Beagle dogs., Method: Beagles dogs were randomly divided into 5 groups, 3 in each group, received respectively the intravenous infusion of polysorbate 80 made by four factories in the concentration of 0.5%, with the constant infusing speed of 5 mL x min(-1) and volume of 10 mL x kg(-1). Changes were observed before infusion and in the 24 h after infusion, time of symptom appearance and disappearance was recorded, and the grade of response was determined. Moreover, blood pressure and heart rates were tested by the machine of Bp-98E, blood samples of animals were collected before infusion and at 10 min after ending infusion for measuring histamine content in plasma using ELISA. Then the sensitization effect was comprehensively estimated by combined consideration of the responding grade and histamine level., Result: Typical symptoms of anaphylactoid reactions were found in sample 3 group, atypical symptoms were found in other polysorbate 80 groups. Different degrees of heart rate speeding and blood pressure downing were found in polysorbate 80 groups. No over 1-fold increase of plasma histamine level was found in all groups. The atypical anaphylactoid reactions and blood pressure of sample 2 group was lighter than other polysorbate 80 groups. Estimation showed that the sample 3 induced the suspicious anaphylactoid reactions, other test solutions did not induce the typical anaphylactoid reactions on Beagle dogs., Conclusion: For allergies and other special populations, there is still a certain risk to applicate polysorbate 80 in the concentration of 0.5%. Production process of polysorbate 80 have a certain influence on allergenicity, refined polysorbate 80 increase the security, but further reasearchs are needed to confirmed.

From April 14 to October 10, 2009, the dynamic changes of Robinia pseudoacacia sap flow in the hilly-gully region of Loess Plateau were measured with thermal dissipation probe. Meantime, the photosynthetic active radiation (PAR), air temperature, relative air humidity, water vapor pressure deficit (VPD), wind speed, and rainfall were monitored. The diurnal variation of the sap flow velocity (SFV) displayed a single-peak curve, but the pattern varied among different months. In April, the sap flow started to increase at about 12:00, and reached the peak at about 18:00. From May to August, the sap flow started to increase at 5:30-7:30, and reached the peak at about 15:00. In September and October, the sap flow started to increase at about 8:00, and reached the peak at 11:30-13:00. The monthly average SFV was the highest in August and the lowest in April, with the value being 0.002610 cm x s(-1) and 0.000549 cm x s(-1), respectively. During the monitoring period, the sap flow velocity was significantly correlated with PAR, air temperature, VPD, wind speed, and air relative humidity, and the correlation coefficients declined in the order of air temperature > VPD > PAR > relative humidity > wind speed. The sap flow velocity could be estimated by the linear equation with variables PAR and VPD, and the regression coefficients were highly significant.

Nine proteins encoded by Mycobacterium tuberculosis RD1 region are important protective antigens that become absent in long passaging of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. They only exist in pathogenic Mycobacteria and are absent in Bacille Calmette-Guerin and environmental Mycobacteria. With good immunogenicities, they may play an important role in the diagnosis and prevention of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This article reviews recent studies on using RD1-encoded proteins as antigens in the diagnosis of active tuberculosis and tuberculous pleurisy.

Objective: To analyze the relationship between aortic root dimension (ARD) and anterior circulation infarction (ACI) by measuring ARD of ACI patients., Methods: The ARD of 110 ACI patients (56 men and 54 women) were measured with 2-dimensional ultrasonography during ventricular systole. 66 control subjects (32 men and 34 women) without the clinical signs of cerebral infarction or organic heart disease and cardiac insufficiency were selected after carrying out detailed case history inquiring, physical examination, CT or MRI and ultrasonic examination., Results: ARD in men and women was respectively (29.80 +/- 2.35) mm and (28.88 +/- 3.06) mm in the ACI group. While it was (27.64 +/- 1.70) mm and (26.98 +/- 1.60) mm respectively in the control subjects. ARD in men and women was significantly higher in the ACI group as compared with the control subjects (P < 0.01). Logistic regression analysis indicated that the odds ratio (confidence interval) associated with ARD was 1.630 (1.205 - 2.204) in men and 1.494 (1.098 - 2.033) in women for ACI., Conclusions: There is a close relationship between ARD and ACI. ARD is an important risk factor of ACI.

Objective: To explore the significance of application of Dannang Recipe No. 2 (DNR2), a Chinese herbal preparation, in the perioperative period of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC)., Methods: Three hundred and sixty patients with LC were randomly assigned to two groups, 180 in each group. The treatment group was treated with DNR2 in the perioperative period, one dose of the recipe composed of aucklandia root 10 g, red peony root 15 g, giant knotweed rhizome 10 g, scutellaria root 10 g, honeysuckle flower 15 g, forsythia fruit 10 g, rhubarb 9 g, immature bitter orange 10 g, magnolia bark 10 g, peach kernel 10 g, red sage root 20 g and licorice root 4 g, which was boiled with water and taken one dose per day, starting from the previous night of operation. The control group was treated by antibiotic with Ceftizoxime sodium 2.0 g or Levofloxacin 200 mg via intravenous dripping once 0.5 h before operation preventively and 1-3 days after operation according to patients' condition. The indexes, including recovery time of borborygmus, gas elimination and defecation, post-operation body temperature, days needing fluid transfusion, hospitalization time, incidence of infectious complication, as well as the white blood cell counting (WBC) and serum C-reactive protein (CRP) before and after operation, were analyzed and compared between groups., Results: The recovery time of borborygmus, gas elimination and defecation were shorter in the treatment group as compared with that in the control group (10.42 +/- 4.38 h vs. 17.11 +/- 6.25 h, 15.60 +/- 5.03 h vs. 32.74 +/- 9.43 h and 38.81 +/- 9.87 h vs. 56.09 +/- 11.00 h, respectively) and all the other indexes were better in the treatment group than those in the control group, showing significant difference (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05), except the incidence of postoperative infectious complication, it was similar in the two groups., Conclusion: Application of DNR2 in perioperative stage of laparoscopic cholecystectomy can effectively promote the recovery of postoperative gastrointestinal motility and suppress the occurrence of acute inflammation.

Objective: To prepare and characterize Herba pogostemonis, Rhizoma atractylodis and Radix aucklandiae compound essential oil-beta-cyclodextrin complex., Methods: The essential oil-p3-cyclodextrin complex was prepared by colloidal mill method. TLC, XRD, DSC and TGA analysis were applied to characterize it., Results: The complex inclusion rate of essential oil-beta-CD complex was 82.4%, and the complex recovery was 80.7%. The formation of essential oil-beta-CD complex was proved by the results of TLC, XRD, DSC, TGA analysis., Conclusion: The stability of compound essential oil is improved by the preparation of oil beta-cyclodextrin complex.

The interaction between acetamiprid and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was used to determine acetamiprid by resonance light scattering (RLS). The RLS signals of DNA were greatly enhanced by acetamiprid in the spectrum region of 300-600 nm. The spectrum peak is around 316.0 nm. The optimum conditions: pH is 1.73; the concentration of DNA is 2.0 microg x mL(-1)bration curve is 0-2. 25 pg * mLU , with the detection2limit of 0. 2 ig * mL '. The acetamiprid in river water sample was determined. The results were satisfactory, and the recovery rates were in the range of 98%-106%. The interaction mechanism of acetamiprid and DNA was discussed: the interactions between acetamiprid and nucleic acid base include electrostatic effect and Tr-r cumulate effect.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a fixed dose combination of telmisartan 80 mg plus hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) 12.5 mg (TH) to telmisartan 80 mg (T) in Chinese patients who failed to respond adequately to treatment with T., Method: This is a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, double-dummy clinical study. A total of 699 eligible hypertensive patients entered a one-week screening phase prior to the eight-week open-label T period. At the end of eight weeks, 345 patients who failed to respond to T (DBP > or = 90 mm Hg, 1 mm Hg = 0.133 kPa) were randomized to receive either TH (175 patients) or T (170 patients) for another eight weeks. Sitting and standing BP were taken 24 hours post-dose and adverse events were documented at visit with 4 weeks interval. Laboratory, ECG and physical examination were performed at screening, at baseline and at the final visit., Results: After 8 weeks treatment, (1) The mean trough reduction in sitting diastolic blood pressure (SiDBP) from baseline in TH group was greater than that in T group (10.1 mm Hg vs 7.7 mm Hg, P = 0.0017). The mean trough reduction in sitting systolic blood pressure (SiSBP) from baseline was 14.2 mm Hg in TH group and 7.4 mm Hg in T group (P < 0.0001). (2) The mean trough reduction in standing DBP and standing SBP from baseline were significantly greater in TH group (8.7 mm Hg and 12.9 mm Hg) compared those in T group (7.3 mm Hg and 7.0 mmHg, P = 0.0350, P < 0.0001). (3) The number and percentage of responders in TH group (129, 74.6%) were significantly higher than in T group (100, 59.2%, P = 0.0016). (4) The incidence of the study drug-related adverse events was similar between TH and T group (3.5% vs. 3.6%, P > 0.05)., Conclusion: TH was more effective than T in patients not responded adequately to T in Chinese hypertensive patients.

Objective: To study the time-dependent effects of pentabrominated diphenyl ethers on thyroid hormones and the histological structure of thyroids in rats., Methods: One hundred healthy 4-week-old SD rats were randomly divided into 10 groups. The rats in the experimental groups were orally administered with pentabrominated diphenyl ethers (BDE-99) at a dose of 60 mg/kg for 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 days respectively, while the rats in the control groups received equal volumes of corn oil for the same periods of time. Serum FT4, FT3 and TSH were measured by radioimmunoassay. Sections of thyroids were dyed with hematoxylin-eosin (HE) to detect pathological alterations in thyroid tissues., Results: Decreased serum FT4 and FT3 and increased TSR were detected in the BDE-99 treated rats at DiS and D20. No significant differences of serum hormones were found between the experimental and control groups at D10, D30 and D40. The thyroid follicle epithelium of the BDE-99 treated rats proliferated into multiple-layer structure at DiS. At D20, proliferative plaque formed in local areas. Solid buds and follicles secondary to the solid buds were detected at D30 and D40., Conclusion: BDE-99 leads to structural changes of thyroids, reduces serum FT4 and FT3 and increases TSR. The time-dependent effects are evident in a damage and compensate pattern.

Objective: To observe the effects of Relinqing granules (powder of Polygonum capitatum extract) on the bacterial pyelonephritis model in rats., Method: The rat bacterial pyelonephritis model was induced by injecting the escherichia coli ATCC-25922 into kidney parenchyma. The rats were divided ramdamly into Relinqing groups(52.32, 26.16 g x kg(-1)), norflorin group (0.03 g x kg(-1)), model group and normal control group, and were given experimental drugs by gastrogavage. The contents of leucocytes (WBC), occult bloo (BLD), glucose (GLU), protein (PRO), ketones, bilirubin and urobilinagen in urine were determined., Result: As compared with the model group, Relinqing granules 6.0 g x kg(-1) (crude drug 52.32 g x kg(-1)) could decrease significantly the contents of WBC and BLD in urine and, however, had no markedly effects on the other biochemical parameters of urine., Conclusion: Relinqqing granule has significant effects of decreasing urine WBC and BLD on the bacterial pyolonephritis in rats.

Objective: To explore the relationship between DNA damage induced by vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and polymorphisms of metabolizing enzymes of VCM., Methods: Comet assay was employed to detect DNA damage, the workers were divided into two groups based on the status of DNA damage. Case-control design was used to investigate the relationship between the genetic polymorphisms of metabolizing enzymes and DNA damage. Genotypes of CYP2E1 c1/c2 and mEH4 His139Arg were identified by the PCR-RFLP, null genotypes of GST T1 and GST M1 were detected by PCR., Results: The genotypes of CYP2E1 c1c2 and c2c2 were significantly associated with DNA damages (P < 0.01). A prominent risk increasing of DNA damage was observed for those individuals having a high or low VCM exposure and possessing the CYP2E1 c1c2 and c2c2 genotypes (OR 4.92, 95% CI 1.35-13.85 and OR 2.57, 95% CI 1.01-6.59)., Conclusion: Cumulative exposure dose and polymorphism of metabolizing enzymes may modulate the DNA damage of VCM-exposed workers. possessing the CYP2E1 c1c2 and c2c2 genotypes (OR 4.92, 95% CI 1.35-13.85 and OR 2.57, 95% CI 1.01-6.59)., Conclusion: Cumulative exposure dose and polymorphism of metabolizing enzymes may modulate the DNA damage of VCM-exposed workers.
