To summary and analyze the prescription rules of Professor Chen Baogui, a famous traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) doctor, for treating epigastric fullness. Professor Chen Baogui's prescriptions for treating epigastric fullness were collected and the treatment data were input into traditional Chinese medicine inheritance support system (TCMISS) to analyze the rules of the prescriptions by using data mining methods. Based on the screened 214 cases, the treatment experience of Professor Chen Baogui for treating epigastric fullness was summarized and analyzed. It was found that Professor Chen gave priority to recuperation of Qi activity. The results of four properties and five tastes showed Professor Chen's medication compatibility rules: one was simultaneous use of cold and warm drugs, and the other was simultaneous use of pungent drugs for dispersion and bitter drugs for purgation. In drug use, the basic prescriptions had the efficacy of promoting Qi circulation and regulating viscera function, additionally with the drugs with functions of eliminating digestion and inducing stagnation, activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis, replenishing Qi and nourishing Yin, tranquilizing mind, strengthening muscles and bones according to the TCM syndrome type. Welfare Pharmacy contains medical formulas documented by the government and official prescriptions used by the official pharmacy in the pharmaceutical process. In the last years of Southern Song Dynasty, anonyms gave a lot of prescription annotations, made textual researches for the name, source, composition and origin of the prescriptions, and supplemented important historical data of medical cases and researched historical facts. The annotations of Welfare Pharmacy gathered the essence of medical theory, and can be used as precious materials to correctly understand the syndrome differentiation, compatibility regularity and clinical application of prescriptions. This article deeply investigated the style and form of the prescription annotations in Welfare Pharmacy, the name of prescriptions and the evolution of terminology, the major functions of the prescriptions, processing methods, instructions for taking medicine and taboos of prescriptions, the medical cases and clinical efficacy of prescriptions, the backgrounds, sources, composition and cultural meanings of prescriptions, proposed that the prescription annotations played an active role in the textual dissemination, patent medicine production and clinical diagnosis and treatment of Welfare Pharmacy. To investigate the herbal prescription rules of Professor Jiang Liangduo in the treatment of abdominal mass based on the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance support system software (TCMISS) of version 2.5, find out new herbal formulas for the treatment of abdominal mass, and then provide new reference to its traditional Chinese medicine therapy. By the method of retrospective study, one hundred and thirty-two outpatient prescriptions of Professor Jiang for the treatment of abdominal mass were collected to establish a typical database with TCMISS. Four properties, five tastes, channel tropism, frequency count, Chinese herbal prescriptions rules and the new prescriptions were analyzed so as to dig out the prescription rules. There were 57 herbs with a frequency>=15, and then 91 core combinations of 2-5 herbs were evolved and 9 new prescriptions were created. It was found out that these drugs mainly had the effects of liver nourishing and soothing, soft-moist and dredging-tonifying, supporting right and dispeling evil, cooperating with the method of calming the liver and resolving hard lump according to the actual situation. Based on the software of Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System (TCMISS), the article made analysis on the composition rules of prescriptions dealing with syndrome of deficiency of both qi and blood from National Standard for Chinese Patent Drugs (NSCPD) enacted by Ministry of Public Health of China. First, prescriptions were collected from NSCPD. Second, used integrated data mining methods in TCMISS, including association rules, improved mutual information method, et al. to analyze the medication rules. At last, irregular menstruation, insomnia, consumptive diseases with the same syndrome of deficiency of both qi and blood, were chosen to make comparative analysis on frequency of medicines used, core drug combinations, et al. to better find the similarities and differences of medications rules when confronted with the same syndrome while different diseases. And the similar core drug combinations directly reflected the characters of clinical practices of traditional Chinese medicine, which emphasizes on the treatment based on the syndromes of differentiation, and treating different diseases with the same methods.

Analyzed the prescriptions for phlegm retention syndrome that built by Ma Peizhi by the association rules and clustering algorithm, the frequency of drug usage and the relationship between drugs could be get. And from that we could conclude the experiences for phlegm retention syndrome of Ma Peizhi of menghe medical genre. The results of the analysis were that 18 core combinations were dig out, such as Citri Exocarpium Rubrum-Eriobotryae Folium-Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium. And there were 9 new prescriptions were found out such as Aurantii Fructus-Citri Exocarpium Rubium-Eriobotryae Folium-Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium. The results of the analysis were proved that Ma Peizhi of Menghe Medical Genre was good at curing phlegm retention syndrome by using the traditional Chinese medicine of mild and light, such as the medicines of mild tonification, and clearing damp and promoting diuresis.

The clinical prescriptions of hemoptysis that built by Menghe physician Ma Peizhi were collected, and were analyzed by the method of unsupervised data mining, such as association rules and clustering algorithm. From the prescriptions, we got the frequency of drugs, the association rules among drugs, 10 core drug combinations and 5 new prescriptions. Accordingly, after the analysis, Menghe physician Ma Peizhi had rich experience in the treatment of hemoptysis. His therapy for hemoptysis was clearing heat and moistening lung, dispel heat from blood to stop bleeding, and enriching yin and blood. And we can also make a conclusion that the TCM inheritance support system is of great practical value for minning the old doctors' clinical experiences.

Clinical re-evaluation is to verify the drug's safety and effectiveness again,while the drug itself has not been improved. However, due to the complexity of traditional Chinese medicine, ingredients in bulk drugs, prescription, productive processes, quality standards and other aspects need to be enhanced. So improving the quality, safety and effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine by clinical re-evaluation is also very necessary. Therefore, except for achieving those basic requirements of medicine, it should also be improved on itself and pay full attention to the particularity, then traditional Chinese medicine's clinical re-evaluation will play its due role.

The component structure theory on material basis of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions provides a new research thought and method for studies on traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions in line with integrated and systemic characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine. Through years of exploration and accumulation, studies on component structures have made achievements. On the basis of summarizing the component structure development of material basis of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions, we systematically explained the background of component structures and their roles and progress in quality control of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions and modern innovative traditional Chinese medicine preparations. Studies on component structures promote the changes in material basis of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions, and point out the direction for the modernization development of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) prescription is a valuable asset for clinical medication, has multi-component and multi-target characteristics. However, due to the complex ingredients of prescription, the unclear mechanism, the lack of scientific data to support the dose-response relationship, it has become the bottleneck for the in-depth study for the process of modernization and internationalization of TCM. It requires the integration of Chinese medicine theory, modern analysis and data mining technology to build new research model for characteristic of TCM prescription. This paper provides an overview of TCM serum pharmacochemistry, pharmacokinetics (pharmacodynamics) and systems biology theory and practice, to establish the integrated three-dimensional "serum pharmacochemistry-pharmacokinetics (pharmacodynamics)-systems biology" for the research of TCM prescription to reveal the pharma-material basis and action mechanism and the compatibility scientific connotation, with a prescription Yinchenhao Tang as a case study.

On the basis of the theory of formal concept analysis (FCA), a new method for generation of an attribute hierarchical graph is proposed in this paper. This method can solve the problems of how to mine and express classification knowledge and rules in compatibility of prescription. In this paper, we view prescriptions as objects that possess certain attributes of the named drugs. First, the formal context is established based on theory. Then optimization of the original formal context and extracts the connotation and extension of the concept are followed, constructing attribute hierarchical graph. Finally, useful knowledge from the hierarchical diagram of attributes based on the way of knowledge representation is mined. The result showed that the method for discovering Traditional Chinese Prescription (TCP) diagnostic knowledge is feasible and effectual for small samples. The research of large samples is 13th open question of FCA. It is an international subject to be studied urgently.

This paper summarized the revised contents of medical standards and suggested some propositions.

Currently, some Chinese medicine species in Shanghan Zabing Lun have been abolished or substituted, or the use frequency has decreased. In this article, the reason of these phenomenons has been analyzed. It might be connected with the intensive toxicity of the herb, deficiency of some valuable species and indefinite pharmacodynamic action mechanism. Even more, some species usage deviate from clinical ethics. Further more, the solution of the problem resulted by above phenomena was proposed. To propose solutions from successive dynasty documents, clinical therapeutic effect verification and pharmaceutical research, the enlargement of the use frequency for some species will come true. And some abolished species will be waken up to use in clinical. Those substituted herbs will be suitable for the practice better.
