Objective To investigate sex difference of dynamic cerebral autoregulation (dCA) in different body positions. Methods A total of 130 healthy adults (65 males and 65 females) who underwent physical examination in Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University from August 2021 to November 2022 were included. Non-invasive continuous blood pressure monitor and transcranial Doppler ultrasonography (TCD) were used to monitor beat-to-beat blood pressure and middle cerebral artery (MCA) cerebral blood flow velocity (CBFV), respectively. Transfer function analysis (TFA) was used to compare and analyze the dCA parameters (absolute gain value and percentage gain, phase, coherence) in the range of very low frequency (0.02-0.07 Hz), low frequency (0.07-0.20 Hz) and high frequency (0.20-0.50 Hz) of different positions and sex. Results The phase in very low frequency and low frequency were significantly lower in the standing position than in the supine position [(57.37 ± 12.45)° vs. (66.72 ± 16.64)°, t = -6.428, P = 0.000; (36.82 ± 11.59)° vs. (43.02 ± 11.51)°, t = - 6.052, P = 0.000], while the coherence in very low frequency and low frequency were significantly higher in the standing position than in the supine position (0.73 ± 0.06 vs. 0.66 ± 0.06, t = - 8.947, P = 0.000; 0.76 ± 0.06 vs. 0.73 ± 0.07, t = - 2.693, P = 0.007). In both supine and standing positions, absolute gain value of male in the low frequency [(0.91 ±0.23) cm/(s⋅mm Hg) vs. (1.04±0.23)cm/(s⋅mm Hg), t = 3.075, P = 0.003; (0.84±0.19)cm/(s⋅mm Hg) vs. (0.95 ±0.21)cm/(s⋅mm Hg), t = 3.102, P = 0.002] and high frequency [(0.94 ± 0.25) cm/(s⋅mm Hg) vs. (1.11 ± 0.27) cm/(s⋅mm Hg), t = 3.740, P = 0.000; (0.91 ±0.21) cm/(s-mm Hg) vs. (1.05 ±0.23) cm/(s⋅mm Hg), t = 3.747, P = 0.000] was lower than those of female, while the phase in the low frequency was higher than that of female [(45.25 ± 10.21)° vs. (40.81 ± 12.37)°, t = - 2.239, P = 0.027; (38.90 ± 12.25)° vs. (34.74 ± 10.57)°, t = - 2.072, P = 0.040]. Conclusions Postural changes can also affect the cerebral autoregulation, and dCA can be improved in the supine position; there is no significant difference in dCA between male and female in the very low frequency, but there is a certain difference between the sex in the low frequency and high frequency. Lack of time, lack of access to equipment, and environmental constraints are generally perceived as barriers to regular physical activity. Moreover, insufficient activity is known to promote sedentary behavior, which is a factor in many chronic diseases, negatively affects mental health, and reduces quality of life. Exercise snacks, defined as short and efficient bursts of exercise, are convenient and easy to implement, reduce sedentary time, increase physical activity, and promote the development of good exercise habits. Previous studies have found exercise snacks to be safe and feasible for the elderly, promoting physical function and reducing the incidence of falls and metabolic diseases. Exercise snacks have also been found to be effective in healthy adults as well as in patients with obesity and diabetes, helping decrease blood sugar and promoting cardiorespiratory fitness. Depending on the participant's age and tolerance, exercise snack patterns may be extended and distinguished into two forms: 10-minute bouts of gentle intermittent exercise twice a day and 60-second bouts of vigorous exercise 3 to 8 times a day. The main considerations for exercise snacks include: multi-joint exercise is better than single-joint exercise, lower body exercise is better than upper body exercise, and dynamic and rapid movement that pushes away from the ground promotes osteogenesis and helps prevent osteoporosis and fractures. BACKGROUND: Electromyography (EMG) is widely used in the measurement of human limb movement or muscle activity, and it has been widely recognized by experts and scholars in the fields of medicine, sports science, and ergonomics. However, review papers on the application of EMG in human limb movements are slightly insufficient. OBJECTIVE: To understand and comb the relevant EMG data in human limb movements from the Web of Science core database, attempting to further optimize the schematic design using EMG in human rehabilitation and ergonomics. METHODS: Literature search with subject terms was performed in Web of Science Core Collection database based on Boolean logic operation. Search strategy was as follows: TS=“electromyography” OR “sEMG” OR “surface EMG” AND “human movement” OR “movement”. Included documents de-duplicated using the Citespace V were analyzed in terms of disciplines and countries. Hot topics and international frontier trends of relevant research were analyzed using the knowledge graph in terms of keywords, high citations, and co-citations. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Literature regarding the application of surface EMG in human limb movements is mainly published in the fields of neurology, engineering and sports science. Top three countries with the most publications are the United States, China, and Canada in order. (2) EMG application in human limb movement mainly focus on myoelectric control, chronic low back pain, corticospinal excitability, Parkinson’s disease, attentional focus, stroke survivor, anterior cruciate ligament injury, and muscle synergies. (3) International frontier research is divided into early frontier and modern frontier. Transition between the early and modern frontiers is from the fields of EMG control, EMG influencing factors and EMG algorithms to human-computer interaction and ergonomics (prosthetic rehabilitation). (4) EMG provides EMG parameter diagnosis in the fields of ergonomics, exercise biomechanics (muscle activation degree and time), evaluation of action mode, fatigue standard, and evaluation of rehabilitation training effects. There are significant differences in the recovery time, size and symmetry of trunk EMG in patients with stroke. Osteoarthritis of the knee is an important issue that leads to the deterioration of lower limb function in the elderly, which in turn affects overall health. Beside conservative treatment, surgery is considered one of the most effective treatments for osteoarthritis of the knee. However, postoperative kinesiophobia that involves excessive fear related to movement and exercise can cause delayed postoperative rehabilitation and exercise, is often overlooked. Clinical evaluation and care after knee arthroplasty mainly involve postoperative pain management and wound care. The effects of kinesiphobia on exercise and activity in daily life are often ignored. Therefore, the assessment and care of kinesiophobia have to be carried out in the clinical setting. This paper conducted a literature review examining the definition, cause, assessment tools for assessing clinical cases, and care strategies of kinesiophobia. Care strategies of kinesiophobia that provide a more holistic patient-centred assessment, function and activities of daily living training, and psychotherapeutic care are discussed. It is hoped that through this paper health care professional gain new information on kinesiophobia assessment and care, and can apply patient care skills into clinical care to improve the overall care quality for clients. This article describes the nursing experience of a single-arm allograft case. The nursing period lasted from March 13 to 21, 2018. With Gordon's functional health patterns as the framework for assessment, the author collected data by observing and interviewing the patient. Nursing problems including acute pain, risk for infection, impaired physical mobility, and anxiety were assessed. The results showed that all of the following can increase the success rate of transplantation: Establish a good relationship during the care process, divert attention to relieve pain, perform sterile wound care and assess changes in allogeneic arms, provide protective isolation and centralized care, provide transplant information, design aids to increase physical activity, encourage the expression of ideas and psychological support, listen, relieve anxiety, assist with adapting to physical changes, and face treatment with a positive attitude. Transplant observations focused on skin rash, monitoring immune data, avoiding serious rejection, immediate notifications, and daily team meetings to determine appropriate medical treatment. Intraoperative aspiration is a common pulmonary complication in the surgery, anesthesia and position were main factors leading to the operative aspiration. This article concerns 13-month-old omphalopagus twins. They underwent separation surgery because they were incapable of resting on the belly and learning to crawl. The period of nursing care was from February 10th to April 8th, 2015. Five holistic nursing assessments were performed. Through preoperative visits, practical care, postoperative interviews, physical assessments, and follow-up, key problems were identified, which included main caregiver anxiety, potential risk of injury, and limb mobility restriction. Main caregiver anxiety can be relieved by providing an adequate translator. Tailored wooden horse carts for sitting and exercise were prepared. Some potential risks were avoided during surgery: socks and a special pediatric fat pad were used to protect the head and bones, surgical instruments were carefully aligned, and cloth was wrapped carefully around medical tubing. The twins were placed on separate operating tables, and operating caps of different colors were placed on the twins for identification. The separation surgery was performed by two independent medical teams. Postoperative rehabilitation included crawling, sitting, standing, and walking courses. The patients were discharged, having achieved an excellent outcome. It is hoped that through this case report, clinical experience can be disseminated and causes and effects can be clarified. The high-dangerous body movements of lactating sows are closely related to the survival rate of piglets, which can directly reflect their maternal behavioral ability, and these movements are closely related to the frequency and duration of posture changing. Under the scene of commercial piggery, the influence of illumination variations, heat lamps, sow and piglet adhesion, body deformation, etc., brings great difficulties and challenges to the automatic identification of the posture changes of lactating sows. This study took the Small-ears Spotted sows raised in the Lejiazhuang farm in Sanshui District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province as the research object, and used the depth video images collected by Kinect2.0 as the data source. We proposed a localization and recognition algorithm of sow posture changes based on Faster R-CNN and HMM(hidden Markov model )models from the depth videos. Our algorithm consists of five steps: 1) a 5×5 median filter is used to denoise the video images, and then the contrast of images are improved by contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization; 2) an improved Faster R-CNN model is used to detect the most probable posture in each frame to form a posture sequence, and the first five detection boxes with the five highest probabilities are reserved as candidate regions for the action tube generation in the third step; 3) a sliding window with a length of 20 frames and a step size of 1 frame is used to detect the suspected change segments in the video, and then the maximum score of action tube of each suspected change segment is construct by the Viterbi algorithm; 4) each frame is segmented by Otsu and morphological processing in the suspected change segments, and the heights of the sow trunk, tail and both sides of body are calculated to form height sequences; 5) the height sequence of each suspected change segment is fed into the HMM model and then classified as posture change or non-change, and finally the posture change segments are classified according to the classes of before and after segments belonging to single posture segments. According to the threat degree of sow accident and the frequency of sow behavior, the posture changes of sows were divided into four categories: descending motion 1, descending motion 2, ascending motion and rolling motion. The data set included 240 video segments covering different sow sizes, postures and posture changes. The 120 video segments were chosen as the testing set, and the rest of the video segments were used as training set and validation set for Faster R-CNN and HMM. Our Faster R-CNN model was trained by using Caffe deep learning framework on an NVIDIA GTX 980Ti GPU (graphics processing unit), and the algorithm was developed on Matlab 2014b platform. The experimental results showed that the Faster R-CNN model had high recognition accuracy, and the detection time of each frame was 0.058 seconds, so the model could be practicably used in a real-time detective vision system. For sows with different body colors and sizes, the Faster R-CNN model had good generalization ability. The HMM model could effectively identify the posture change segments from the suspected change segments with an accuracy of 96.77%. The accuracy of posture change identification was 93.67%, and the recall rate of the 4 classes of posture change i.e. descending movements 1, descending movements 2, ascending movements and rolling were 90%, 84.21%, 90.77%, 86.36%. The success plot was 97.40% when the threshold was 0.7, which showed that the optimized position tube had a good tracking effect for sows in the scene of commercial piggery, effectively overcoming the influence of heat lamps and body deformation of sows. Our method could provide a technical reference for 24-hour automatic recognition of lactating sow posture changes and make a foundation for the following research on sow high-dangerous body movement recognition and welfare evaluation. The report described a nursing experience of a post-craniotomy teenage patient with intracranial hemorrhage as a result of a traffic accident. The nursing period lasted from August 3rd to 26th, 2016. Gordon's 11 functional health patterns was applied to assess the collected data, and the following health problems were confirmed: ineffective cerebral tissue perfusion, impaired tissue integrity, impaired physical mobility, and powerlessness. During the nursing period, the patient's vital and neurological signs were closely monitored to prevent secondary brain injury, facilitate wound healing, and observe signs of secondary infection. Health education was instructed after the patient regained consciousness. The patient was also encouraged to actively participate in self-care activities and regain a sense of control. The patient was facing adolescent development crisis as result of the accidental trauma. With continuous companionship and encouragement on self-expression, the patient fairly accepted the nursing staff. 本研究主要目的在於探究社區大學肢體運動類課程講師從「學習者」轉變成「教學者」的過程中，所依循、複製或重構的身體意象與配套自我技術論述，及其延伸出來各類社會關係和外在社會機制間存在的「知識—身體—權力」關係，以釐清肢體運動對人們身體和價值可能帶來的生產性和壓抑性。研究發現，存在社區大學、肢體運動社群、師生與同儕間的「知識—身體—權力」關係並非零合，所有課程內容、教學策略與人際模式都處在高度不確定狀態下，透過對抗與順服並存的方式體現著自由與壓抑。倘若寄望社 區大學肢體運類課程的實施能尊重師生身體與價值自主性，勢必得培養其容忍、欣賞人際關係與社會文化之不確定性，才能讓每個人的聲音都被充分聆聽與尊重。 The study aims to investigate the discourse of body images and supporting self-techniques, which is followed, copied, or restructured by those in the process of changing roles from learners to instructors in body movement classes in community colleges. It also explores the relations among derived knowledge, body and power existing in various social relationships and social mechanisms, in order to clarify the kinds of impact body movements human body and human values. The study showed that the power relations existing in community colleges and the professional community, and between faculty and students, do not constitute a zero-sum situation. There is a high degree of uncertainty underlying all curriculum content, teaching strategies and interpersonal relationships. If we wish the implementation of body movement curricula to respect the autonomy of the bodies and values of faculty and students, it is necessary to cultivate appreciation and tolerance of diversity and uncertainty among faculty and students. Only in this way can all voices be fully listened to and respected appropriately.

To reduce the burden of the traditional sleep monitoring system on human body, a non-contact sleep monitoring system based on microwave technique was developed, and a sleep stages recognition algorithm was proposed based on body movement signals from radio frequency motion sensors (RFMSs). The RFMS signals were processed by wavelet transform, then, the energy of signals was calculated by integral algorithm. Finally,the sleep stages such as wakefulness, light sleep, moderate sleep, deep sleep were recognized by discriminant analysis and threshold processing. The RFMS signals from 8 normal subjects, whose sleep were monitored for 46 days, were acquired, with their video information, TANITA sleep information, pulse wave, and respiration signals gathered synchronously. Compared with videos,the staging results of this system match 90% in wakefulness stage. In comparison with the results of TANITA, the results of the RFMS match 70% in other sleep stages. Background: The fatigue and symptom distress of cancer patients have been researched extensively. However, few studies have focused on the fatigue and symptom distress experienced by hepatic cancer patients following transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) treatment. Purpose: This study explores the levels of symptom distress and fatigue in hepatic cancer patients and related factors. Methods: This cross-sectional study used purposive sampling to recruit 100 hepatic cancer patients who had received TAE treatment from a medical center in southern Taiwan. Structured questionnaires were used to collect the data from the irst, second, and third days following the TAE treatment. Results: Notable reductions in fatigue and symptom distress levels were observed in post-TAE-treatment patients. The 5 main symptoms were abdominal pain, fatigue, sleeplessness, fever, and abdominal distention. Factors identiied as inluencing the level of fatigue were marital status, family members' accompaniment during the TAE treatment, physical performance status, age, and symptom distress. Conclusions / Implications for Practice: Physicians treating hepatic cancer patients should better explain to patients the symptoms and fatigue associated with TAE treatment. Objective To observe the rehabilitation effect of modified constraint-induced movement therapy (mClMT) on activities of daily living (ADL) in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods A total of 60 patients in acute stage of cerebral stroke with limb dysfunction admitted in Ruijin Hospital from December 2012 to May 2013, were randomly divided into routine rehabilitation treatment group (control group, N = 30) and mClMT group (N = 30). Control group was given routine rehabilitation training, 60 min each time, twice per day, 5 d per week; mClMT group received mClMT treatment with the similar frequency. After 2-week training, all patients were transferred to rehabilitation center for 4-week continous training. The total treatment period was 6 weeks. All of those patients received assessment before treatment and 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 12 weeks after treatment on the ability of daily living and motor function, including the modified Barthel Index (mBl), Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) and Berg Balance Scale (BBS). Results Patients in both groups got increased mBl (P = 0.004, 0.000, 0.000), FMA (upper limb: P = 0.000, for all) and BBS scores (P = 0.005, 0.000, 0.000) 2, 6, 12 weeks after treatment. FMA (lower limb) score was increased 6 and 12 weeks after treatment (P = 0.000, for all). Compared to the control group, patients in mClMT group got increased mBl (P = 0.000, for all), FMA (upper limb: P = 0.000, for all; lower limb: P = 0.000, for all) and BBS scores (P = 0.000, for all) 2, 6, 12 weeks after treatment. Conclusions mClMT has positive therapeutic effects on the motor function of limbs in hemiplegic patients with stroke in acute stage, which can improve the balance ability and the ability of daily life, so as to raise the quality of life of patients. Background: End-stage renal disease patients on long-term hemodialysis are at a relatively high risk of myopathy and neuropathy, which are factors associated with muscle wasting, excessive fatigue, and increased mortality. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting physical performance status in patients on long-term hemodialysis. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive and correlational study design was used. A questionnaire comprising instruments including the physical performance status scale, nutrition index, Beck Depression Inventory-II, fatigue, and exercise self-efficacy scale was used to collect data from 141 participants. Results: The mean score of participants for physical functional status was 73.9 ± 24.6. Nearly two-fifths of participants (38.3%) self-reported having no physical disability. Among those reporting physical disabilities, 19.1% reported their condition as mild, 16.4% as moderate, and 26.2% as severe. Risk of falling, age, exercise self-efficacy, and depression were important predictors of physical performance status, collectively explaining 45.1% of total physical performance status variance. Exercise self-efficacy correlated positively with physical performance status, while risk of falling, age, and depression correlated negatively with physical performance status. Conclusions / Implications for Practice: Better exercise self-efficacy, lower falling risk, being of a younger age, and lower levels of depression were each associated with better physical performance status. This study provides evidence-based support to healthcare professionals responsible for developing interventions that physical activity improves the physical performance status of long-term hemodialysis patients. Objective To investigate the influence of rehabilitation nursing including psychological counseling and exercise training on post-stroke depression patients. Methods Eighty patients with post- stroke depression were divided into 2 groups: rehabilitation group (combination of conventional drug treatment and auxiliary exercise and phychological therapy, N = 40) and control group (drug and auxiliary exercise therapy, N = 40). These patients were assessed by using Barthel Index (BI) and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) on admission and 3 months after treatment respectively. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the BI and HAMD score between rehabilitation group and control group on admission [BI: 58.69 (51.57, 57.40) vs 59.02 (55.15, 61.27), HAMD: 13.52 (10.87, 15.02) vs 13.85 (10.50, 14.42); P > 0.05]. After 3 months' treatment, the ability of daily living was obviously improved and HAMD score decreased in rehabilitation group, and the differences with control group were statistically significant [BI: 71.28 (69.20, 73.20) vs 58.31 (57.53, 63.37); HAMD: 8.05 (7.32, 10.78) vs 14.98 (12.68, 17.80); P < 0.05]. The purpose of the study was to investigate activities-specific balance confidence and risk of fallings among rehabilitation patients with impaired of mobility, and to identify the influence of activities-specific balance confidence on their risk of fallings. Method: Data for 132 rehabilitation patients were collected between October June 20 and August 20, 2012 at nine hospitals in a metropolitan city. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 20.0. Result: The mean score for rehabilitation patients' activities-specific balance confidence was 40.18 out of a possible range of 0-100 and the mean score for risk of fallings among rehabilitation patients was 31.10 within a possible range of 0-125. Significant factors affecting the risk of fallings among the rehabilitation patients were 'activity level', 'dementia', 'body mass index', 'anxiety', and 'presence of a caregiver', which together explained 34.7% of the variance. The most significantly factor influencing rehabilitation patients' risk of fallings was activities-specific balance confidence which explained 23.5% of the variance. Conclusion: The study results indicate that activities-specific balance confidence as well as physical factors should be considered for interventions to decrease risk of fallings in rehabilitation patients with impaired mobility. Frailty is a term frequently used in geriatric medicine and gerontology. Even though this term appeared some three decades ago, the concept it embodies is still inconsistently defined and multi-dimensional. It is also relatively new to the nursing discipline. The author analyzed the concept of frailty using the concept analysis approach of Walker and Avant (2005). The result indicated that frailty must meet at least three of Fried et al. (2001)'s five attributes of frailty, i.e., shrinking, weakness, poor endurance, slowness, and low activity. Frailty in the elderly must further involve multiple factors, dependency, dynamic processes, and vulnerability. The author hopes this paper helps clinical nursing staffs better understand the concept of frailty in the elderly. A clearly defined definition for frailty in the elderly can help nurses apply this important concept in clinical practice and develop related nursing implications to improve elderly health. PURPOSE: To evaluate the effect of position of occlusal interference on the track of mandibular incisal point during lateral movement. METHODS: The changes of track of mandibular incisal point along with the changing of occlusal interference position were recorded by Arcus DigMa mandibular moving track analysis system. The relativity between occlusal interference position and mandibular incisal point moving track on arrowy axis, vertical axis and horizontal axis was analyzed. Regression analysis was performed for linear correlation between occlusal interference position and mandible lateral moving track using SAS 9.0 software package. RESULTS: The results showed that along with the retrusive of occlusal interference, the moving distance of mandibular incisal point on horizontal axis both to contralateral side and to ipsilateral side tended to increase. The linear regression equation of mandibular incisal point moving distance on horizontal axis along with the occlusal interference position was as follows, to ipsilateral side, ŷ=8.2262+ 0.1082x1, δ=0.1786 ,P<0.001; to contralateral side, ŷ=9.1098+0.07099x1-0.02650x2, δ=0.05989 ,P<0.001. CONCLUSION: The position of occlusal interference affects the track of mandibular incisal point during lateral movement significantly, along with the retrusive occlusal interference, the mandible lateral moving distance on horizontal axis tends to be increased and shows linearity.
