- Abstract
α-AlH3 was coated with polyethylene glycol (PEG) 20000 by solvent-nonsolvent method. The samples were characterized and analyzed by using the means including Infrared spectroscopy (IR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The thermal stability and humidity stability of uncoated sample and coated sample were investigated. The results show that α-AlH3 is coated by polyethylene glycol (PEG) 20000 perfectly. After heating at 60°C for 10 days, the hydrogen content of uncoated sample decreases by 2.04%, while the hydrogen content of coated sample decreases by 1.29%. The hydrogen content of uncoated sample decreases by 1.05%,whereas the hydrogen content of coated sample decreases by 0.99% under the condition of 80% humidity for 10 days. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
