This paper intends to reveal the phosphorus release potential energy of different phosphorus spices at varied depths of sediments in eutrophic lakes and the relevant environment risk. Lake Qingling in Wuhan City is taken as the object of case study which includes the vertical distribution characteristics of organic matter, microbial extracellular enzymes, phosphorus forms, phosphorus adsorption behavior and phosphorus adsorption index of sediments. As a result, the case study shows that iron bound phosphorus (Fe(OOH)~P) and calcium-bound phosphorus (CaCO3~P) are the main phosphorus forms in the sediments of Lake Qingling, and both Fe(OOH)~P, CaCO3~P and the hot alkali extractable organo-phosphus of the sediments possess phosphorus release potentials; besides, microorganisms and their extracellular enzymes play an important role in phosphorus release. Furthermore, as for the intensity of phosphorus release risk of the sediments in different depths: surface sediments show stronger, while deep sediments (10~15 cm and deeper) that are of good buffer capacity show less risk; and at two sampling sites in south part of the Lake, the phosphorus release risk index (ERI) of surface sediment are 20.66% and 26.57%, respectively, and at three sampling sites in north part of the Lake are 35.61%, 111.22% and 325.96%, respectively. With the development of society and economy, urbanization level continues to increase, which has changed the characteristics of the underlying surface. The water cycle has been seriously affected, leading to a series of urban water problems such as waterlogging and water environment pollution. Low Impact Development (LID) can alleviate the amplification effect of rainfall and flood caused by urbanization, and a key issue in the design of LID measures is to explore the impact of underlying surface changes on flood processes. This paper compares urban rainwater flood models and selects the Win-TR55 model, which is a small watershed design flood model. The core of this model is the SCS-CN runoff curve model, which is characterized by simple calculation process, less required parameters, and comprehensive consideration of the relationship between changes in basin precipitation, underlying surface type, and runoff. Based on the above model, the underlying surface of the Jiulong Ecological Park in Wuhan is analyzed under current, traditional, and low impact development conditions. The design flood process is simulated under different return periods, and the hydrological effects of low impact development are evaluated based on changes in the flood volume, peak, and inundation range. The results show that 1 under the three development modes, the CN value is the highest under traditional development and the CN value is the lowest under low impact development conditions. This indicates that in the low impact development mode, the type of underlying surface has been changed, the storage capacity has been increased, and the corresponding CN value has decreased, resulting in a decrease in flow rate. 2 Under the low impact development conditions, the reduction rates of flood volume for once every year, once every five years, once every ten years, and once every fifty years can reach 96.74%, 81.58%, 73.46%, and 61.13%, and the reduction rates for flood peaks can reach 94.14%, 70.63%, 60.64%, and 45.42%. 3 The reduction rates for the design inundation range can reach 74.35%, 63.60%, 51.14%, and 6.83%. From the simulation results, it can be seen that as the rainfall intensity increases, the flood control effect of low impact development gradually weakens. The study also found that as the rainfall intensity increases, the control effect of low impact development on rainwater and flood gradually weakens. In recent years, pollution of atmospheric particulate matter has been ameliorated continuously in Wuhan, but PM2.5 is still the main pollutant affecting the ambient air quality. This paper reviewed the research on the source apportionment of fine particulate matter in Wuhan during the period of 2012-2022 with respect to the status quo of the research of PM2.5 sources in Wuhan, and the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of PM2.5 sources were sorted out and summarized. The source apportionment of PM2.5 revealed that the relative contribution of secondary source and biomass combustion source increased, while the relative contribution of dust source declined a lot in recent years, with the traffic source remained stabilized in general. Furthermore, in future the research direction of the source apportionment atmospheric particulate matter in Wuhan should focus on the mutual verification of multiple models and methods, the traceability of secondary aerosols, and the real-time rapid source analysis in the process of heavy smog pollution. [Objectives] To investigate cockroach community structure in the Wuhan area, including long-term changes in the abundance of different species and successional characteristics, in order to improve the control of urban cockroaches. [Methods] We used fresh bread crumbs as bait and sticky paper to trap and investigate the diversity of the cockroach community in six typical habitats, including residential areas, restaurants, hotels, farmers' markets, hospitals and supermarkets in the Wuhan area from 1995 to 2019. [Results] A total of 41 257 cockroaches were captured, which were classified into 1 family, 2 genera and 4 species. Blattella germanica and Periplaneta fuliginosa were the dominant species, with relative abundances of 77.99% and 15.36%, respectively. Periplaneta americana was a common species with a relative abundances of 6.64%, whereas Periplaneta australasiae was a rare species with a relative abundance of just 0.01%. Consistent with the annual trend in overall cockroach density, annual variation in B. germanica density first increased, then decreased. Annual variation in the density of P. fuliginosa and P. americana trended downwards. Cockroaches can be captured throughout the year in the Wuhan area but there is a single peak in abundance September. There were significant differences in cockroach density between different habitats (F=9.048, P<0.01). The highest density (1.65 per trap) was in farmers' markets where the annual population trend was upward, whereas the lowest density (0.11 per trap) was in hospitals where populations tended to be stable. The density of cockroaches in residential areas slowly decreased over time, and that in restaurants and hotels first increased, then decreased. Cockroach communities in different years can be divided into four groups by systematic clustering and a non-metric multidimensional scale ranking analysis. [Conclusion] Cockroach community structure in the Wuhan area has undergone significant changes. The dominant species have gradually changed from P. fuliginosa and P. americana to B. germanica. There were obvious annual changes in the population density of different species in different habitats. It is necessary to focus the prevention and control of cockroaches in key places such as farmers' markets, restaurants, hotels, and supermarkets. Satellite navigation and positioning is one of the critical modules to ensure unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flight safety. When the satellite signal is weak or interfered, failure location will affect or even endanger the normal flight of UAVs. Vision-based methods can be used to locate UAVs with image matching. However, current image matching methods are unable to extract robust features due to the great difference between heterogenous images in time, which results in inadequate accuracy and efficiency. This paper proposes a fast feature matching method, which uses residual network to extract multiscale robust features and accelerates coarse matching of low-resolution feature maps using minimum Euclidean distance. The module above is used on high-resolution feature maps to achieve secondary fine matching. The homography matrix is used to correct matching pairs and achieve UAVs localization. The proposed method improves robustness and efficiency of localization for UAVs. The experimental results with Wuhan Suburb actural dataset show that the average accuracy of the proposed method is 2. 86 m, which is 2. 1% higher than the current typical matching algorithm. This method has obvious advantages on localization robustness and computing speed, which completes all images matching and localization on Jetson Xavier NX, while the localization frequency is optimal with the frequency of 1 Hz. The spatial equity of urban public transportation services is an important indicator for evaluating the potential of high-quality and sustainable development of urban transportation. Based on a combined global and fine-grained grid perspective and taking the main urban area of Wuhan City as an example, this paper studied the spatial equity of public transportation resource allocation and its influencing mechanism. The spatial equity (SE) index and location entropy were used to evaluate the spatial equity of public transportation resource allocation. The Pearson correlation coefficient and the multiscale geographically weighted regression (MGWR) model were then used to reveal the degree of influence of built environment factors on spatial equity. The findings are as follows. ➀ Within the third ring road of the main urban area in Wuhan, there exist six high-density centers of public transportation supply and one supply agglomeration belt, and the supply intensity of transportation resources has significant spatial heterogeneity. ➁ The spatial equity of public transportation in Jianghan District is the highest, while that in Qingshan District is the lowest. Overall, the southern part of Wuhan is better than the northern part, and the SE in the urban-rural fringe is higher than that outside the urban-rural fringe, with 53% of analysis units below the average level of the study area. ➂ Public transportation adjacency, residential density, major road density, and road intersection density have significant impacts on the spatial equity of public transportation. The results of this study can help improve the efficiency of urban public resource allocation and provide decision-making support for achieving sustainable and high-quality development of urban transportation. Objectives: The spatial delimitation of urban area is the foundation for monitoring the urbanization level and determining city scale from the perspective of geographical space.Methods: Based on the requirements of urban area defined in Document No. 51 of the State Council, this paper clarifies the connotations of urban area with further understandings and proposes a process for delimiting urban area in geographical space by connecting map polygons of governmental residents and neighborhood committee, which can reduce the subjectivity and fuzziness in the spatialization of process of urban area. Results: This paper develops the main idea and spatial delimitation about urban area and takes Wuhan as an example to illustrate the details about spatial delimitation of urban areas.Conclusions: This paper mainly discusses how to unify urban delineation under the current technical conditions, and does not mention how to use other auxiliary data, such as the application of multi⁃source big data in urban delineation, because of the unbalanced development of big data infrastructure in different cities. But it does not mean that the application of population big data and urban big data is not important.On the contrary, the application of big data in the work of urban area⁃ delimitation is the next research focus and the future development trend. Road traffic flow is an important feature to measure the importance of the road. Based on the GPS trajectory data and road network data, this paper proposed a novel method for the selection of road network considering both the commonly used geometric features (i.e. length, topological connection, distribution density, closeness and betweenness) and the sematic information-long - term week average traffic flow of the roads. Firstly, in order to ensure the continuity of the road network at small scale, the strokes of the original road network are obtained by using the continuity and direction constraints of Gestalt laws. Then, the geometric features and the traffic flow information of each strokes are computed. Further, a global measure is defined based on the geometric features and traffic flow information, and the weights between the length, topological connection, distribution density, closeness, betweenness and traffic flow are determined using the modified entropy-weight method. Finally, the proposed method of this paper is verified by using Wuhan road network data and taxi GPS trajectory data. The experimental results show that the proposed method can maintain the connectivity of the original road network and tend to select the important roads that are consistent with the human perception. On the other hand, this method can be used to discover the roads that are designed as high-level roads but in contrary rarely used in reality for applications such as urban road network planning and reconstruction. With the development of China’s rail transit system, the transfer problem directly affects the convenience of hundreds of thousands of passengers day after day, and has become an important factor which affects the operation of public transportation systems. The problem of public transportation transfer should be “people-oriented” and analyzed from the time and space mode of passengers' transfer. Based on the smart card data (SCD) of Wuhan City in March 2015, this paper studies the time-space characteristics of passenger transfer, analyzes the current situation of rail transit development, and summarizes the transfor travel mode. The research results are as follows:① In the process of the development of rail transit in Wuhan, the imbalance of rail transit services has arisen and a single-center urban structure has emerged. ② The geographical characteristics of transfer behavior are related to the city’s own geographical pattern, and three factors which influence the transfer behavior are proposed. ③ Using intelligent bus card data, it can effectively identify the social behavior of passengers (transfer behavior) and the time and space mode of passengers traveling. This paper analyzes the spatiotemporal patterns of travel behaviors such as transfer behavior and urban planning and urban space utilization from the perspective of “people-oriented” based on the analysis of big data. Objectives: Existing population spatialization methods mainly use administrative-unit-level data to train regression model, and transfer it to grid cell-level to achieve population allocation. However, the significant scale difference between the analytical units in training and estimation leads to the issues of crossscale model transfer. Meanwhile, only the attributes of current cell are considered in cell-level feature modeling, which causes the innate spatial association between cells to be eliminated and cells to be isolated. Methods: This paper proposes a novel population spatialization based on random forest by considering pixellevel attribute grading and spatial association (PAG-SA). In the cell-level feature modeling, we firstly construct the night light grading features embedded with building category constraints based on natural breaks, and count the grid proportion of each grading level at the administrative-unit-level as the training input to reduce the cross scale error; secondly, the influence and distance attenuation of neighborhood point of interests (POIs) upon the current cell is modelled by using kernel density estimation; thirdly, based on overlay analysis, the numbers of POIs in the contours of different building types are counted to improve the precision of feature modeling. Results: To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, we selected Wuhan city as the experimental area and compared its spatialization accuracy with the datasets of WorldPop, GPW and PopulationGrid_China at street scale. The results show that the mean absolute error of PAG⁃SA is only 1/6-1/3 of the comparison datasets. In addition, the influence of feature composition, grid size and kernel density bandwidth on the accuracy is also discussed. Conclusions: By fusing multi source data and considering pixel⁃level attribute grading and spatial association, the proposed method PAG⁃SA is effective for achieving population spatialization in urban areas with finer grid sizes and higher accuracy. Current epidemic models mainly estimate the number of confirmed patients by fitting statistical data. Few studies consider the direct effect of fine-grained spatial crowd mobile interaction on the spatial-temporal diffusion features. A new method for estimating the spatial-temporal spread process of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is proposed, incorporating spatial interaction features into epidemiological models. This paper also estimates the number of confirmed patients and spatial-temporal spread process of COVID-19 in Wuhan from December 2019 to March 2020. The results show that the method proposed in this paper can effectively estimate the daily traffic analysis zones (TAZs) where new confirmed patients appear, completely covering the TAZs with the epidemic announcements. And the TAZs with the epidemic announcements account for 72.7% of the estimated TAZs. The cumulative number of estimated confirmed patients agrees very well with the total number of officially announced confirmed patients after February 18, 2020, with a gap of approximately 5.6%, indirectly verifying the rationality of the previous estimation. The method proposed in this paper can effectively estimate the spread of infectious diseases under fine-grained spaces. It also has scientific significance in understanding the influence mechanism of the crowd interaction under finegrained spaces on the spatial-temporal spread of infectious diseases, and enhancing the macroscopically spatial interpretability of epidemiological models macroscopic. The underground space development is a hot spot in urban construction currently. To serve the planning and construction of underground space in Yangtze River Demonstration District of Wuhan City, based on a large number of basic data and results obtained from multi-factor urban geological survey, combined with GIS technology, the paper carries out the underground space resources quality evaluation of the study area, which is shown in the zoning map of underground space resources quality of different depths. The results indicate that the quality of shallow and sub-shallow underground space resources are generally good-excellent, with the southwest side obviously inferior to the east and north sides, mainly affected by the existing underground structures, soft soil and groundwater. With the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID ‐19) in the world, researches on the related epidemic situation are also constantly increasing. However, the current researches focus more on the predic‐ tion analysis and the researches on epidemic situation prevention and control measures, remain at the statis‐ tical level and the model parameters lack spatiotemporal evolution description. This paper introduces the granularity and virtual real line of the boundary of the discrete grid to describe the tightness of physical isola‐ tion measures and the connectivity and isolation of adjacent spaces separately and designs the medical recep‐ tion and cure model under the discrete grid based on the spatial autocorrelation between the medical bed ad‐ mission capacity and the grid. Furthermore, the LSEIR (logistic‐susceptible‐exposed‐infected‐removed) epi‐ demic model is used to construct the artificial prevention and control measures model of physical isolation and medical reception and cure under the discrete grid, which provides an effective method to analyze and assess the impacts of the artificial prevention and control measures model of physical isolation and medical reception and cure on the spread and prevention and control of the epidemic situation. The original spatio‐ temporal evolution of COVID ‐19 epidemic situation in Wuhan, China was simulated with the early data of epidemic of the United States, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom, the experimental analysis result of epidemic situation data in Wuhan, China shows that physical isolation measures have a very obvious effect on reducing the peak value of infected population, advancing the peak of the inflection point and shortening the duration of the epidemic situation; medical reception and cure measures can effectively re‐ duce the peak value of the infected population in the early stage of the epidemic, but has no significant im‐ pact on the advance of the peak inflection point and the shortening of the epidemic duration; the model can analyze and assess the impacts of physical isolation and medical reception and cure measures on the epidem ‐ ic situation from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives, which has high rationality and correctness. Emergency flood relief needs fast and precise spatial information of flood-inundated area. Because of spectral similarity to some extent, inundated area was often viewed as water body and then derived from remote sensing classification result of the water areas before flood disaster minus that after flood disaster, which often caused difficulties in separating inundated area from true water body (e.g. river, lake or reservoir) and waterlogged cropland. This paper proposed an optimized method for identifying inundated area based on human perceptual visual attention and spatio-temporal variation characteristics of flood. Flood-inundated area is a temporary compound of water and other flooded objects (e.g., crops). It has specific spatio-temporal dynamic property, which differs from that of water body and could be used as a stable basis for remote sense identification of the inundated area. After the specific property was digitalized into numerical and visual data by generating a composite RGB color imagery of NDVI, MNDWI before the flood event and NDWI after the inundation, apparent coloring difference between water body and the inundated area in the imagery was reached. To gain reliable machine-vision detection based results of the flood-inundated area, an imagery of Munsell HLC color was transformed from the RGB imagery and then adopted in unsupervised classification based on coefficient of NBS color distance and K-means clustering algorithm. A case was studied on applying the proposed method to derive information of the inundated area in 2016 flood disaster in middle reaches of Yangtze River Basin and using Landsat OLI images. And an error confusion matrix method was adopted in the accuracy assessment on recognition results of the inundated area. The results showed that the proposed method gained excellent detection of the area with coefficients of Kappa and composite classification accuracy (CCA) equal to 93.4% and 88.5%, respectively. A controlled experiment on the credibility of different remote sensing classification methods for the same identification object (i.e. flooded-inundated area) was also made. It proved the proposed method for detection of flood-inundated area based on the selective visual attention mechanism could effectively improve the accuracy of remote sensing identification on the area with its CCA coefficient of 5% larger than that of the traditional method. The proposed method also had good performance on easily separating the flooded-inundated areas from water and waterlogged cropland, especially helped solving the misclassification between the flooded-inundated area and the water body. These benefited from three keys: 1) The inundated area was viewed as that not equal to water coverage in remote sensing classification, which could be proven by the former’s higher heterogeneity and its different spatio-temporal dynamic property. As a result, the identification uncertainty of the area was reduced. 2) Digital visualization of spatio-temporal variation features of the inundated area was completed through data fusion of NDWI after the inundation and NDVI and MNDWI before the flood event, which enhanced the area’s visual saliency on the remote sensing image and made it possible to identify them using machine-vision color clustering. 3) Difference of the flooded-inundated areas from the water and waterlogged cropland was precisely captured in the NBS image in HLC space that was transformed from the fusion image at an optimized RGB color matching scheme (i.e. red given to NDWI after the inundation, green and blue to NDVI and MNDWI before the inundation, respectively). During summer flooding of the study area in 2016, the waterlogged farmland with crops uncovered by water was about 19 143.35 hm² while the inundated acreage was up to 142 157.5 hm², among which 16.6% (i.e. 23 579 hm²) was being planted with rice paddy. Additionally, most of the inundated areas located in low-lying land along mainstream of the middle Yangtze River and its two branches, namely Hanjiang River and Fuhe River. Objective To investigate the construction and application of infectious disease reporting management information system in HIS in the secondary and tertiary hospitals of Wuhan to provide support for public health informatization and management by the medical administration. Methods Questionnaire was used to investigate the application of infectious disease information management system in the departments of outpatient, inpatient, clinical laboratory and public health in the hospitals, which was executed on hospital essential information as well as informatization of outpatient infectious disease reporting, registration for hospital admission and discharging, registration of clinical laboratory and imaging examinations as well as infectious disease reporting card verification in the public health department. Excel and SPSS software were used for descriptive statistics. Results In the departments of outpatient, inpatient, clinical laboratory and public health the proportions of informatized infectious disease reporting management were 55.1%, 84.4%, 79.3% and 51.7% respectively. The hospitals involving infectious disease reporting management information system in HIS had the rates of infectious disease reporting significantly higher than those with traditional method in timeliness, completion, accuracy and etc (P<0.05). The time consumed for outpatient log registration was statistically shorter by informatized means than by traditional paper ways (P<0.05). Conclusion The secondary and tertiary hospitals in Wuhan have disadvantages in informatized infectious disease reporting management, and should take measures to enhance infectious disease reporting. Using the Landsat TM Remote Sensing images of Wuhan's land use in 1996, 2000, 2005 and 2010, and the measured data of soil samples, this paper analyzes the LUCC and its impact on the reserve of soil organic carbon (SOC) from 1996 to 2010 in Wuhan City. The results show that: the LUCC of Wuhan City in this period was characterized by the reduction of water, cultivated, forest, grass and unexploited areas and the increase of construction areas; the sequence of the SOC density from high to low is forest, grass, cultivated, construction, water and unexploited land; the total SOC reserve in Wuhan City decreased progressively and then increased, with the cultivated land and waters having the highest SOC reserve, the SOC reserve of the afforested land in construction land increasing year by year, and that of waters decreasing year by year; the increase of the SOC reserve is mainly due to the change of waters into cultivated land and the afforested land in construction land, while the reduction of the SOC reserve is mainly due to the change of the cultivated land into the afforested land in construction land and waters. Urbanrural cultural integration has become a hot area in both political and academic circles. Centering on the spatial structure of the urbanrural cultural integration in Wuhan Metropolitan Area (WMA) and following the scientific, universal and operable principles, this paper constructs a multidimensional and multileveled evaluation indicator system including the tangible links such as natural foundation, town connection, cultural facilities and the invisible links such as social link, cultural links, information links and spatial links. Then the degree of urbanrural cultural integration of the 48 counties in WMA is quantified by using the six principal factors extracted from the factor analysis, The 48 cities are graded into four levels according to their integration degree. The results indicate that the degree of the urbanrural cultural integration is maximized in Wuhan City and diminishing gradually to the surrounding cities. The degrees of the urbanrural cultural integration in the counties along the "JingGuang" railway and the Yangtze river economic zone are stronger than those counties with the same distance from Wuhan City. It is argued that the spatial structure of the urbanrural cultural integration in the new era should be affected by the ruralurban linkage, social behavior style, regional economic difference and spatial information links and so on. The HJ- 1 satellite is a naive optical satellite, specializing in the environment and disaster monitoring, which has a high time and space resolution, and could be downloaded freely. So it's able to monitor the sediment concentration timely, continuously and accurately, and has a good application prospect for monitoring the second type inland water by remote sensing. This paper has taken the middle reaches of Yangtze River in Wuhan as the study area. A precise sediment concentration calculation model is developed, by making use of the first and third bands of CCD data in HJ-1 satellite. After this, it retrieves the sediment concentration in Wuhan reach, and gets its space distribution map on November 14th, 2008. The result has showed that the root mean square error (RMSE) of this model is 8. 84 mg/L, and the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) is 13. 6%. The sediment concentration in Yangtze river is higher than Han river near Wuhan city, and the concentration is higher near the central bar than other areas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper defines transport superiority from three aspects: quality, quantity and advantage, which are respectively measured by highway network density, proximity to the transport arteries and location advantage degrees. The historical transmutation, spatiotemporal differentiation of the transport geographical pattern in Wuhan Urban Agglomeration, as well as the correlation between transport superiority and economic development level are analyzed quantitatively by applying GIS technology and mathematical model. A number of valuable implications have been drawn. First of all, the changes of historical prosperity and wane in Wuhan urban agglomeration region were closely related to the transport geographical pattern. The unique modern traffic geographical advantages bred the prosperity of Wuhan area, while the development of contemporary transportation technology resulted in the homogenized pattern of traffic superiority in China and thus the wane of Wuhan as the 'center' or 'terminal' of trade and transportation. Secondly, the regional comprehensive transport superiority of a layer structure, with that of the central city, Wuhan, being highest and those of the dies along the Yangtze River and the Wuhan--Jiujiang industrial belt decreasing gradually. Thirdly, the absolute and relative differences of the transport superiority in Wuhan Urban Agglomeration had enlarged from 1980 to 2010, showing a continuously strengthened trend of polarization. Fourthly, there is a significant coupling relationship between transport superiority and economic development level in Wuhan Urban Agglomeration, with a large percentage of population and industry of this area concentrating in the small number of counties with prominent transport superiority. The purpose of this paper is to calculate the priority of the build-up land demand of each county in Wuhan Metropolitan Area and analyze its regional difference to provide guidance for distributing the build-up land among the counties. To do so, an index system was established from three aspects such as input intensity, utility intensity and output benefits, and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was employed to calculate the priority of the build-up land demand of each county. The results show: 1) the priority of the build-up land demand is obviously different from one county to another in Wuhan Metropolitan Area, with that of the counties under the jurisdiction of Wuhan City much higher than that of the other counties; 2) the causes leading to the regional difference are significantly different between the developed counties and the underdeveloped counties, with the former of higher priority mainly due to higher intensity input and output benefit of the build-up land, and the latter of higher priority mainly due to higher utility intensity of the build-up land; 3) the utility intensity of the build-up land is low in prefecture-level city areas because of higher per capita build-up land area. So we can conclude that the priority of the build-up land demand is essential to distribute the build-up land among the counties and improve land use efficiency. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The technology and research of forecasting solar radiation are in urgent need for the research and business of solar photovoltaic. Weather Research Forecast V3 (WRFV3) model is suitable for forecasting the surface solar radiation; however, the solar radiation forecast output directly by the middle-scale quantitative model has a large error compared to the measured value, so the forecast results need to be explained and corrected to improve their accuracy. Therefore, this paper made a statistical correction on the surface shortwave radiation in August of 2009 forecasted by WRF model with hourly output. The results show that: 1) the output parameters of WRF model which correlated higher with the hourly total radiation measured by Wuhan station are the surface shortwave radiation, surface temperature, temperature at two meters high, specific humidity at two meters high, vertical integration of cloud-water mixing ratio; 2) the method of simply eliminating the deviation of prediction does not improve the forecast much; 3) the forecast made by model output statistics (MOS) which takes the radiation, temperature and moisture condition into account improves the performance obviously, reducing the error of forecast from 38.3% to 22.0%. Therefore, we conclude that the statistical corrections on the surface shortwave radiation forecasted by WRF can improve the accuracy of forecast. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Taking Wuhan as study area, construct a comprehensive index system to evaluate the coordinated development of urbanization and eco-environment in Wuhan city is onstructed in this paper. Bosed on measuring the integration of urbanization and comprehensive eco-environment quality by using AHP method, we calculated the coordination degree of urbanization and eco-environment. The results showed that from 2000 to 2010, the urbanization level of Wuhan has been enhaned overcell shows growth trend, while its ecological environment level was been fluctuated with the development of urbanization, showing a general trend of declining first and then rising. In recent two years, the difference of the urbanization development level and ecological environment development level has declined. The coordination degree analysis shows that from 2000 to 2005, the coordination degree declining has been year by hear, but from 2006 to 2010, it has been rebounding gradually showing a trend of more stable state. Finally, the countermeasures and proposals to restrict urbanization and ecological environment in Wuhan city for the harmonious development are proposed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
