BACKGROUND: Exosomes have become one of the frontiers of biomedical research in recent years because of their promising applications in clinical diagnosis and therapy. OBJECTIVE: To reveal the basic research and technology development trend of exosomes at home and abroad, and provide suggestions for related scientific and technological research and development in China. METHODS: This paper presented a quantitative analysis of the overall research and development situation, the frontier hotspots and future development trends in this research area by means of bibliometric methods and tools. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The research and development hotspots in this area have entered a high growth phase with the application of new tools and methods. Many new technologies and products are facing clinical applications and markets with the development of a large number of clinical translation experiments. Comparative analysis at home and abroad reveals that China has made more remarkable achievements in basic research in this field, but there are still weaknesses in the possession of independent intellectual property rights, clinical technology translation, and regulatory system standardization and management, which need to be further strengthened in the future. Objective: To analyze the current research status of uveitis in China. Methods: It was a bibliometric analysis study. Using search formulas covering uveitis and its multiple subtypes, uveitis-related literature in English with publication dates from 2013 to 2022 was retrieved in Web of Science core databases through certain search strategies. This study used the latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) algorithm to build topic models and analyzed the trends of research topics in recent years. Bibliometric analysis was used to analyze and visualize the bibliometric indicators (e.g., number of publications, citations, and H-index) of the included literature using tools such as VOSviewer software. Results: Over the past decade, China has published 1 657 papers on uveitis, ranking second globally. However, there is still room for improvement in terms of the H-index (58) and citation (12.28 per publication). Countries such as the USA (43.04%) and the United Kingdom (62.54%) were engaged in more international collaboration. We identified ten optimal LDA topics for uveitis literature in China such as immunotherapy, Behçet's disease, and Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome. Research on uveitis in China was mostly published in Ocular Immunology and Inflammation (92). Conclusions: China has made remarkable progress in uveitis research. Nonetheless, there is still untapped potential to enhance our global academic influence. It is encouraged to promote international collaborations, harness our expertise in areas like Behçet's disease and VKH syndrome, and publish our scientific achievements in high-impact journals.

With the continuous advancement of medicine, more children with congenital or pediatric-onset chronic urologic conditions are surviving well into adulthood, which imposes an ever-rising need for adequate transition of these patients from pediatric to adult care. Transitional Urology focuses on the health care needs of adolescents and young adults with congenital urological disorders as they transfer from pediatric to adult care, maximizing the best interests of the children. Since Shanghai Children's Medical Center has been approved for over-age continuous medical care, this paper aims to analyze the currently perceived barriers in care transition within the urological context, explore the ways of previously implemented transition models, and propose the suggestions for improvement.

This article summarizes and organizes relevant publications in journals, along with a review of medical history, systematically summarizing the development process of dental alveolar surgery in China. The initial establishment phase (1935-1952) marked the starting point of Chinese Alveolar Surgery. Despite the impact of wars, it laid the foundation for subsequent research and practice. During the early development phase (1953-1966), the "Chinese Journal of Stomatology" was founded, which promoted the development of Alveolar Surgery. Research focused on tooth extraction methods and complications. Tooth Transplantation and Preprosthetic Surgery gradually began to take off. The stagnant phase (1967-1977) occurred due to the interruption of international exchanges, leading to an almost complete halt in the development of Alveolar Surgery. Entering the rapid catch-up phase (1978-1985), Alveolar Surgery scholars in China began striving to overcome the stagnation of the previous decade. While some progress was made, no significant innovative achievements emerged. In the scientific development phase (1986-2010), clinical research, basic experiments, and paper writing in modern Chinese Alveolar Surgery began to adhere to scientific standards with the rise of experimental medicine. The exploration and innovation stage (2011-2023) is the current development phase, during which Chinese Aveolar Surgery has reached its peak, making substantial progress in technology, clinical practices, and basic research, gradually reaching or even surpassing international advanced levels. Looking back at the development history in China, we can find the wisdom and hard work of the older generation of Alveolar Surgery scholars. However, contemporary challenges and issues, such as standardizing technology, promoting clinical practices, and talent cultivation, need to be addressed by present-day Alveolar Surgery professionals as they forge ahead.

BACKGROUND: Due to the unstable drug release rate of uniaxial bone scaffolds, multi-structure composite printing methods have been sought in and outside China in recent years. Currently, coaxial drug-loaded bone scaffolds, which combine drug-loaded sustained release system with bone transplantation and repair technology, not only replace the defective bone after implantation, but also release drugs slowly, providing a microenvironment conducive to bone formation at the implant site. OBJECTIVE: To explore and assess the in vitro antibacterial properties of uniaxial and coaxial minocycline hydrochloride bone scaffolds. METHODS: Rapid prototyping technology was used to prepare uniaxial hydroxyapatite/silk fibroin-polyvinyl alcohol scaffold, uniaxial hydroxyapatite/silk fibroin-polyvinyl alcohol scaffold, coaxial hydroxyapatite/silk fibroin-polyvinyl alcohol scaffold, and coaxial hydroxyapatite/silk fibroin-polyvinyl alcohol scaffold, respectively, which were named S1, S2, T1 and T2. The morphology, porosity, degradation performance, in vitro sustained-release performance and cytotoxicity of scaffolds were characterized. Four kinds of bone scaffolds were immersed in PBS to prepare the extracts at different time points (1, 3, 5, 7, 14, 21, and 28 days). The qualitative filter paper was placed into the extract for 24 hours. The filter paper was co-cultured with Porphyromonas gingivalis and Fusobacterium nucleatum for 72 hours. The bacteriostatic effect of four groups of scaffolds was detected by the agar diffusion method. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Scaffold characterization: Four groups of scaffolds were well formed. The surface of micro-wires in the S1 and S2 groups was dense and smooth, and the surface of micro-wires in the T1 and T2 groups was rough. Porosity was between 40%-47% and met the requirements of bone scaffolds. Compared with the S2 group, sustained release time was longer in the T2 group. The sustained release concentration of the drug was between 1- 10 μg/mL for a long time, which was more conducive to bacteriostasis and osteogenesis. After 10 weeks of immersion in PBS in vitro, the degradation rate of the coaxial printed bone scaffold was faster than that of the corresponding uniaxial printed bone scaffold, and the degradation rate of the coaxial loaded bone scaffold was lower than that of the coaxial non-loaded bone scaffold. The four groups of scaffold extracts were co-cultured with osteoblasts respectively. CCK-8 assay displayed that the cell proliferation rate was greater than 75%, which met the requirements of biocompatibility. (2) In vitro antibacterial effect: S1 and T1 did not have antibacterial activity. S2 and T2 had an obvious antibacterial effect. Under the extraction solution on day 28, the diameter of Porphyromonas gingivalis and Fusobacterium nucleatum inhibition zone in the S2 group was smaller than that in the T2 group (P < 0.05). (3) These findings exhibit that hydroxyapatite/silk fibroin-polyvinyl alcohol scaffolds with coaxial minocycline have good physical properties and bacteriostatic properties. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

At present, the commonly used clinical protocols of oral cosmetic restoration are mostly based on the oral aesthetic indexes proposed by Western developed countries (referred to as Western aesthetics), which are different from the oral aesthetic indexes unique to Chinese people (referred to as Chinese aesthetics). In the design of restoration schemes and the evaluation of restoration effects, these differences have a large or small effect on the doctor-patient-technology triad. Improper handling could directly weaken the cooperation efficiency of the three parties, reduce patient satisfaction, and even lead to medical disputes in serious cases. From doing a good job of oral cosmetic restoration in China, the connotative characteristics of Chinese oral aesthetics are introduced in this paper, and the value of oral aesthetic analysis in diagnosis and treatment is discussed. The process and method of aesthetic analysis and assessment through the modified Chinese psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics questionnaire and the evaluation ruler of the expected value of oral cosmetic restoration are further introduced in detail.

" Acupuncture Anesthesia in the People's Republic of China： A Trip Report of the American Acupuncture Anesthesia Study Group " ( Report for short) is the first extraterritorial systematic investigation and evaluation report in the history of acupuncture anesthesia in China. After Report was released to the public, it has not drawn much attention in China. At the moment when acupuncture anesthesia is extended to perioperative treatment, by reviewing the Report , the differences in understanding acupuncture anesthesia were analyzed from a foreign perspective. Report involves the clinical observation of surgery under acupuncture anesthesia, the analysis on the factors of acupuncture anesthesia in therapeutic effects and the relevant mechanisms, and the differences in the research methods and foci on the recognition of acupuncture anesthesia between China and foreign countries. In association with the development of acupuncture anesthesia during the past 65 years and the conclusion in Report , the paper briefly describes the development and perfection of acupuncture anesthesia, the historical verification to the conclusions in Report and the limitations in modern acupuncture anesthesia. It provides some inspiration for the development of acupuncture anesthesia, acupuncture-moxibustion medicine and life science in the future.

With the rapid development of synthetic biology, lots of synthetic biology technology achievements in various application fields have been commercialized, generating broad market prospects. The commercialization of products employing synthetic biology technology (hereinafter referred as synthetic biology products) has brought benefits to human beings, but it has also produced potential safety risks. At present, relevant laws and standards for regulation of biotechnology or genetically modified organisms have been adopted to regulate the safety risks of commercialization of synthetic biology products (CSBP). However, due to the complexity and uncertainty of synthetic biology, the safety risks of CSBP cannot be comprehensively regulated by these laws and standards. Therefore, it is of great significance to formulate specific supervision and management measures for regulating the safety risks of CSBP. This paper summarized the situation of CSBP in the fields of food, medical care, agriculture, environment, energy and materials, analyzed the safety risks existing in the CSBP, and sorted out current supervision situation of its safety risks in European countries, United States, as well as in China. We further proposed suggestions on the safety supervision and management measures on the safety risks of CSBP, including classified examination and approval, classified identification of products, and strict screening and approval of market entities before entering the market, and strengthening safety supervision and emergency treatment as well as accident responsibility investigation after entering the market. This whole-process safety regulation might provide support for the safety of CSBP and promote the healthy and long-term development of synthetic biology industry.

As a rapid, accurate and efficient analytical technique, gas chromatography is widely used in the detection of volatile organic compounds and inorganic small molecule toxins, and it is the main analytical method in the national testing standards for occupational health. The existing effective national standards of gas chromatography for the detection of some substances have low column efficiency, high toxicity of reagents, poor correlation of the standard curve and low desorption efficiency and other problems, some of which can be solved through method improvement. At the same time, with the use of new materials and new processes, new types of toxic substances are emerging, and there are still many occupational disease hazards of limited value without supporting detection methods, gas chromatography can be applied to the detection of some toxic substances to better complement the vacancy of China's occupational health detection methods. This paper analyzes the current situation of the application of gas chromatography in occupational health testing standards, discusses the improvement of some of these methods, and helps to promote the application and development of gas chromatography in occupational health testing.

Lycium barharum L. is a food and drug homologous substance, rich in polysaccharides, betaine, anthocyanins, carotenoids and other active ingredients, and has good application value in health care functions such as improving immunity, relieving visual fatigue, and antioxidant, so it has been favored by researchers and consumers at home and abroad. At present, the application frequency of Lycium barharum L. in health food in China is relatively high, but there is a lack of systematic sorting and analysis. Food is vital to the people, and safety comes first in food. Food safety is crucial to people's livelihood, economic development, and social stability. It represents people's aspiration for a better life and grabs great public attention. In recent years, while China has achieved significant progress in food safety, the situation remains severe, with incidents such as excessive residues of agricultural and veterinary drugs, as well as illegal addition of toxic and harmful substances. As an important technical support for ensuring food safety, food safety inspection and testing institutions also exhibit a mixed bag of performance. Problems such as inadequate personnel management, improper use of facilities and equipment, weak legal awareness resulting in issuance of false reports have frequently occurred, seriously disrupting the normal order of the inspection and testing market and affecting the authority and accuracy of food safety testing. Based on the capacity verification of inspection and testing organizations in Zhejiang Province in recent years, this paper studies the typical problems faced by food inspection and testing institutions in terms of management level and testing capabilities, analyzes the root causes in depth, and proposes specific strategies from three aspects: Strengthening the main responsibility of inspection and testing institutions, combining regulatory departments with supervision and guidance, and enhancing industry self-discipline, aiming to continuously improve their inspection and testing capabilities, promote the high-quality development of food inspection and testing institutions, and effectively ensure the safety of every bite of food. BACKGROUND: Autophagy has become a rapidly developing research hotspot in the biomedical fields. Many researchers are actively exploring the molecular regulatory mechanism of autophagy in a variety of diseases. However, the role of autophagy in hair growth is still unknown. OBJECTIVE: To review the current research progress and application value of autophagy in hair growth and regeneration, to understand the role of autophagy in hair growth, to explore the pathogenesis of autophagy in pathological hair loss, and to provide new ideas for the study of drugs for hair loss. METHODS: Using “hair follicle growth, hair growth, hair regeneration, autophagy associated proteins, autophagy activity, autophagy associated genes, autophagy” as Chinese search terms and “hair growth, hair follicle, hair regeneration, autophagy” as English search terms, PubMed and CNKI databases were searched. The research progress on autophagy, hair growth and the role of autophagy in hair growth in and outside China in recent years was reviewed and summarized. Articles incompatible with the subject content of the paper were excluded. Finally, 78 articles were included for the result analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Autophagy is a normal metabolic process in eukaryotes with complex molecular mechanisms and functional properties, which is beneficial to cell survival and cell death. (2) Alopecia-related diseases are associated with changes in autophagy activity, which can regulate hair growth cycle. Knockout or overexpression of autophagy-related genes can change the state of hair growth. Multiple autophagy related signaling pathways have been found to be related to hair follicle growth. As a common medicinal and edible resource in China, Coicis Semen has a long history of cultivation and medicinal use. Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) clinically believes that Coicis Semen has the effect of strengthening the spleen and tonifying the lungs, clearing heat and dampness, removing pus and paralysis, and stopping diarrhea. Therefore, it is used to treat edema, foot odor, spleen deficiency, diarrhea, and other symptoms. The above effects are closely related to the active ingredients of Coicis Semen, such as esters, fatty acids, polysaccharides, proteins, as well as phenolic acids, sterols, flavonoids, lactams, triterpenes, alkaloids, and adenosine. Modern research has found that Coicis Semen also has anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, hypoglycemic, and hypotensive effects and other pharmacological activities, and it can improve immunity and regulate lipid metabolism. Coicis Semen is widely distributed in China, mainly produced in Guizhou, Yunnan, Fujian, Sichuan, and other places, and the quality of Coicis Semen from different origins varies. From ancient times to the present, Coicis Semen processing methods have experienced the process from simple to complex, and the types of auxiliary materials are more extensive, such as soil, bran, and river sand. These processing methods have been inherited from generation to generation. Nowadays, the commonly used methods are bran-fried, stir-fried, sand-fried, etc. In this paper, by reviewing the relevant literature in China and abroad in recent years, the main active ingredients and related pharmacological effects of Coicis Semen are sorted out, and the effects of different origins and processing methods on the chemical composition of Coicis Semen are summarized, with a view to providing references for the comprehensive development and utilization of Coicis Semen and the further study of its mechanism of action.

Styrax is a commonly used imported traditional Chinese medicinal material in China. It was introduced to China in the Han Dynasty and was first described as a traditional Chinese medicine in Miscellaneous Records of Famous Physicians(Ming Yi Bie Lu). In this paper, by combing ancient and modern Chinese and foreign herbal medicine books and modern literature, combined with the results of field investigations on the origin of Styrax, the changes of Styrax involving the name, quality evaluation, origin, place of origin, and harvesting and processing were systematically verified. The results show that since ancient times, the origin and place of origin of Styrax have been unclear. The medical scientists of all dynasties in China have evaluated the quality of Styrax from four aspects: texture, viscosity, odor concentration, and color. The varieties of Styrax changed twice. The first change may have occurred during the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and the base changed from Styrax officinalis to Liquidambar orientalis. The second change was in modern times, and the base changed from L. orientalis to L. styraciflua. At the same time, the place of origin changed for the first time, from Turkey, Syria, and other countries in southern Asia Minor to Honduras, Guatemala, and other countries in Central America and southern North America. This paper studied the historical evolution of Styrax in terms of quality evaluation, origin, place of origin, character, and harvesting and processing. At the same time, it summarized the application of Styrax in the western countries, which can provide a historical basis for the further development and utilization of Styrax.

Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) preparations in medical institutions embody the characteristics of TCM and are the source for the development of new TCM drugs. This study summarizes the current situation, existing problems, and development trends of the TCM preparations in medical institutions in 31 provinces across China. Furthermore, this paper puts forward the development path of new TCM preparations based on the requirements of registration and management regulations of TCM preparations, providing new ideas for promoting the inheritance, innovation, and development of TCM.

Clam is one of the important economic shellfish in mariculture in China, with high protein content and com-plete amino acid species. In this paper, clam was used as experimental material to extract clam protein isolate, and clam protein isolate-dextran conjugates were prepared by wet heat glycosylation reaction. With emulsifying activity and emulsifying stability as the evaluation indexes, the conditions of glycosylation reaction were optimized by single factor combined with response surface method. The result showed that the optimal conditions were 109 °C, 89 min, pH 11, mass ratio of protein to dextran was 1:1. Under these conditions, the emulsifying properties and emulsifying stability of glycosylated compound were 1.22 and 75.56, respectively. The results of free amino group content, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermal stability, fluorescence spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that the glycosylated product was formed by glycosylation of clam protein isolate and dextran. This study improved the functional properties of clam protein and provided a theoretical basis for expanding the application of clam protein in food industry. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Citrus is the largest fruit in the world and in China, and its fruits are rich in flavonoids. Citrus flavonoids possess various beneficial biological activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, lipid-lowering, anticancer, bacteriostatic, and neuroprotective properties, which contribute to human health. However, citrus flavonoids face challenges such as poor solubility, stability, and low bioavailability, which restrict their application in industrial production. The development of a stable encapsulation has emerged as an effective approach to overcome these limitations. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive review of the research progress regarding the structure, types, and main encapsulation methods for citrus flavonoids, which have been investigated and will be analyzed in terms of their advantages and disadvantages. The effects of citrus flavonoids encapsulation on physiological activities will be summed up. Additionally, the effects and application of encapsulation on the main citrus flavonoids (naringin, hesperidin, neohesperidin, etc) will be summarized. The findings are expected to provide theoretical basis for the high -value utilization of citrus flavonoids in functional food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and other related industries. Isinglass is a kind of edible and medicinal tonic, which has gained popularity due to its good efficacy in supplying collagen, beautifying health, regulating endocrine, enhancing immunity, etc. However, little efforts are made in relevant study on isinglass, especially the questions that user concerned about. In order to promote the sustainable development of isinglass industry in China, this paper describes the types and characteristics of the popular isinglass from retail market, main components, main functions, and the problems of developing isinglass industry, and proposes that it is necessary to enhance the study of isinglass about identification, classification, functions, quality standards, aiming to provide valuable references for researching the proper edible method and developing products of isinglass. At present, the communication based train control system (CBTC) has been used as the mainstream signaling system for rail transit, while the train autonomous circumambulate system (TACS) has also been gradually put into operation in China. To compare the reliability level of these two signaling systems, this paper performs a reliability analysis for both the TACS system and the CBTC system from the perspective of fault-caused operation delay. It presents the reliability block diagrams of both the TACS and the CBTC system in which faults lead to delays of more than 2 minutes and more than 5 minutes, which are drawn in view of the design architecture of these two signaling systems and the line configuration. Then, it provides an evaluation and comparison of the reliability level under the two system architectures under discussion. Pidan is an original traditional food in China, which has attracted extensive attention of researchers because of its unique color, fragrance, taste and functions of clearing heat, purging fire, reducing inflammation. Metallic compounds, alkali concentration, and temperature are important in the process of gel formation. Although many studies related to Pidan have been published, there is no systematic summary on the formation mechanism of gel and flavor profile. In this paper, the regulation mechanism of metal compounds in alkaline solutions, and the formation mechanism of gel, color, flavor profile, and Songhua are systematically and comprehensively reviewed to provide theoretical support for the production development and processing of Pidan. Gastric cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in China. Currently, the surgery-based procedure is still the most acceptable strategy for treating gastric cancer. As an important part of standardized management, appropriate specimen processing following surgery is receiving more and more attention across the world. With the release of guidelines and consensus on the specimens processing after gastric cancer surgery, several centers in China have started to follow this standard procedure. However, due to differences in understanding the consensus and the degree of surgery practice, the results are variable. This paper will focus on reviewing every aspect of the processing procedure, with the hope that the concept and skill involved can be popularized in clinical operations. Hopefully this will help promote the development of high-quality gastric cancer surgery in China.

On June 16, 2023, National Disease Control and Prevention Administration of the People's Republic of China, in collaboration with other ministries, formulated and issued the Action Plan to Accelerate the Elimination of Schistosomiasis in China (2023 - 2030) . The implementation of this plan provides an important basis for achieving the targets set in the "Healthy China 2030" action plan and the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. This paper describes the background, principles, targets, control strategies, safeguard measures and effectiveness evaluation of the plan, in order to guide the scientific and standardized implementation of actions for schistosomiasis elimination at the grassroots level, and facilitate the progress towards elimination of schistosomiasis in China with a high quality.

Background: Lung cancer is the malignant tumor with the highest incidence rate and the heaviest disease burden in China. In recent years, lung cancer has shown a high incidence trend, seriously affecting the health of the population. In this paper, we analyze the characteristics of lung cancer incidence in 2019 and the trend of incidence rate from 2010-2019 in the tumor registration area of Gansu province, in order to provide a reference basis for the development of lung cancer prevention and control strategies in Gansu province., Methods: By analyzing the cases of lung cancer incidence in the tumor registration area of Gansu province in 2019, we calculated the incidence rate, medium incidence rate, world incidence rate and other related indexes; we used Joinpoint to calculate the annual percentage change (APC) for trend analysis., Results: In 2019, a total of 3757 new cases of lung cancer were reported in Gansu province, accounting for 14.96% of all new malignant tumors. The incidence rate, medium incidence rate and world incidence rate and world rate of lung cancer were 40.52/10⁵, 25.78/10⁵, 25.86/10⁵; and the cumulative rate of 0-74 years old, and the truncation rate of 35-64 years old were 3.23%, 40.03/10⁵, respectively. The incidence of lung cancer rises with age, and is high in the age group of 40 years and above, and the incidence peaks in the male and female populations in the group of 75 years and above, and the group of 80 years and above, respectively. The crude incidence rate of lung cancer in the tumor registration area of Gansu province from 2010-2019 showed an overall increasing trend, and the rate of increase was relatively fast, with an APC 5.39% (P<0.05); Separately, according to gender, urban and rural areas, the incidence of lung cancer in all populations showed an increasing trend, and the APC of male, female, urban and rural populations were 4.98%, 6.39%, 6.26%, and 4.64%, respectively (all P<0.05). According to the trend analysis of lung cancer incidence rate by age group, only lung cancer incidence in the age group of 65 years and above increased at an annual average rate of 4.15% (P<0.05)., Conclusions: The incidence rate of lung cancer in the tumor registration area of Gansu province from 2010 to 2019 shows a rising trend year by year, and there are differences in the incidence of lung cancer in people of different genders, regions and age groups, so comprehensive prevention and control work should be carried out for the key populations of lung cancer incidence.

A sustainable training system for acupuncture-moxibustion and tuina professionals, integrating "medicine, industry, education and research" is established, under the main framework of the medicine-engineering interdiscipline, and with the consideration of the issues of medicine, the application of engineering technology, the thinking approaches of sciences, and the collaboration of business studies. It is the potential power to support the development of traditional medicine. Through analyzing the difficulties of the medicine-engineering interdiscipline of acupuncture specialty, and in association with the experiences of the early-stage development of the collaboration between medicine and engineering, the paper presents the cases of China's higher education reform and transformation under the background of "emerging medical education" so as to explore a replicable personnel training mode.

Objective: To review the studies related to keratoconus in China, investigate research hotspots and development trends in this field, and provide reference for future research. Methods: This is a bibliometrics study. The relevant literature written in Chinese was retrieved from the WanFang DATA and the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, English articles were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection database. Searched for journal articles related to keratoconus VOSviewer software, CiteSpace, and Bibliometrix in the R language were employed to create the knowledge map. The analysis encompassed the distribution of published journals, research collaboration networks of countries/regions, institutions, and authors. Additionally, core authors, high-frequency keyword co-occurrence, keyword topic maps, and keyword emergence time ranking were examined. Results: The study ultimately included 1 100 Chinese articles and 668 English articles. Chinese literature and English literature began to increase in 1997 and 2009, respectively, indicating that the field is currently in a developmental stage. The publications involved 244 Chinese journals and 150 English journals, predominantly in the field of ophthalmology. The United States collaborated the most with China, contributing to 123 articles, followed by other countries such as the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Chinese literature and English literature involved 552 and 883 institutions, respectively. The institution with the highest number of Chinese literature publications was the Eye Institute of Shandong First Medical University (63 papers), while Wenzhou Medical University had the highest number of English literature publications (91 papers). Chinese literature involved 2 435 authors, and English literature involved 2 073 authors. The largest collaboration cluster in Chinese literature was formed by the teams of Xie Lixin and Shi Weiyun, while the Gao Hua team formed the largest cluster in English literature. However, collaboration between authors was primarily limited to within each team. A total of 622 and 1 611 keywords were extracted from Chinese and English literature, respectively. The node centrality of the four Chinese keywords, "keratoconus", "cornea", "corneal transplantation" and "myopia" as well as the three English keywords, "keratoconus", "collagen cross-linking" and "penetrating keratoplasty" was greater than 0.1. "Collagen", "riboflavin", "corneal transplantation" and "ultraviolet A" were identified as common core hotspots and important research topics in Chinese and English literature on keratoconus. Keyword emergence analysis indicated that the keywords with the highest intensity of emergence in Chinese and English literature were "myopia" (13.54) and "penetrating keratoplasty" (9.99), respectively. The longest emergence time was observed for "contact lenses" (1995-2006) and "penetrating keratoplasty" (2003-2014). Conclusions: At present, research on keratoconus in China is on the rise, with research hotspots including pathogenesis, various new surgical methods, and improvement in quality of life. The future research trend mainly focuses on early diagnosis and screening methods, artificial intelligence, biomechanical examination, subclinical keratoconus, and small incision lenticule extraction.

Dengue fever is an acute mosquito-borne infectious disease caused by dengue virus and widely spread worldwide. Many factors, such as pathogens, vector organisms, climate, and social environment, affect its transmission and prevalence. The local dengue fever epidemic caused by imported cases in China shows a trend of increasing epidemic latitude and more widespread epidemic areas. However, the traditional monitoring and early warning models of dengue fever mainly focus on researching a single factor and a single area. Establishing a multi-factor forecast and early warning system is urgent to strengthen the early warning capability for the dengue fever epidemic. This paper mainly discusses the epidemic characteristics, the influencing factors, and the surveillance and early warning models of dengue fever in China to provide a reference for the effective prevention and control of dengue fever in China.

Chinese drug registration laws and regulations have always reserved a place for the new traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) drugs for syndromes, but so far no such new drugs have been approved for registration. This paper expounded on the relevant policies, regulations, and technologies of new TCM drugs for syndromes in China and pointed out that the application of the animal model of TCM syndromes to carry out pharmacodynamics research and clinical efficacy evaluation criteria of TCM syndromes were the main technical difficulties in the research and development of new TCM drugs for syndromes. Not all syndromes are suitable for developing new drugs, and the indications for new TCM drugs should be constant syndromes. Among the three research and development models of simple syndrome, syndrome-unified disease, and combined disease and syndrome, the research and development model of combined disease and syndrome is recommended. Clinical positioning is the key to new TCM drugs for syndromes. It is encouraged to conduct high-quality human use experience studies to determine the clinical positioning of new TCM drugs for syndromes, as well as the target population, dose, course of treatment, and initial therapeutic and safety, and apply for exemption from non-clinical effectiveness studies. Clinical trials of new TCM drugs for syndromes should take the target symptoms or signs as the main efficacy index and the efficacy of TCM syndromes as the secondary efficacy index. Clinical research program design should implement the &quot;patient-centered&quot; concept and introduce clinical outcome evaluation indicators. In the clinical safety evaluation, special conditions such as characteristic syndromes and changes should be considered. With the construction of the human use experience technology system and the promotion of the TCM registration and evaluation evidence system featuring the &quot;combination of TCM theory, human use experience, and clinical trials&quot;, it is believed that many high-quality new TCM drugs for syndromes will be developed in the future.

Objective To visualize the research status and hotspots of women's common disease screening based on CiteSpace 6.1.R6,and to provide a reference for the in-depth research in this field thereafter. Methods The relevant articles were retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure with the time interval from January 1,1992 to December 13,2022.The analysis was conducted on the number of annual publications,countries(regions),institutions,author collaboration networks,keyword co-occurrence,clustering,and bursts. Results A total of 900 papers that met the criteria were included,and the number of annual publications showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing.The cross-institutional collaboration network was mature.The research hotspots mainly covered women's health,the prevalence of women's diseases,reproductive health,and breast diseases.The hotspots have evolved from an initial focus on reproductive health care to gynecological disease management,and eventually to reproductive health and holistic health care in women. Conclusions The attention should be kept on the screening of women's common diseases.It is advisable to synchronize the screening of women's common diseases with the screening of cervical and breast cancers to expand the screening coverage,promote early disease detection and treatment,and comprehensively safeguard women's health.

The purpose of this paper is to systematically summarize the gene polymorphisms associated with osteoporosis(OP)susceptibility in Zhuang ethnic group in Guangxi.These genes mainly encode vitamin D receptor,estrogen receptor,calcitonin receptor,and adiponectin.The genotype and allele distribution frequency were compared between Zhuang ethnic group and other ethnic groups,which can clarify the existing genes and the potential gene polymorphism associated with OP in Zhuang ethnic group.The findings provide a representative solution for the subsequent research on the genes associated with OP susceptibility in ethnic minorities.

With the proposal of the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, China's energy structure is gradually shifting from relying on fossil fuels to relying mainly on renewable and clean energy systems. However, clean energy represented by wind and photovoltaic power generation is difficult to operate and consume separately due to output fluctuations and uncertainties. Hydropower stations have good regulation capabilities and can operate in conjunction with wind farms and photovoltaic power stations to alleviate the instability of new energy generation. The southwestern region of China is rich in hydropower resources, and a large number of cascade hydropower stations with regulatory reservoirs have been built. The complementary operation of cascade hydropower with wind power and photovoltaic resources around the watershed, and the full utilization of the regulating capacity of cascade hydropower to bundle and deliver high-quality electricity, is an important means of achieving energy transformation. To quantify the carrying capacity of cascade hydropower stations on wind power and photovoltaic resources, this paper proposes a nested calculation model for medium to long-term optimal scheduling of hydropower to short-term optimal allocation of hydro-wind-photovoltaic power. The short-term scheduling calculation boundary is determined based on the mid-term and long-term optimization scheduling calculation results of hydropower, the scale of wind and photovoltaic power during short-term scheduling is adjusted, and scheduling with the goal of maximizing source load matching, maximizing power generation, and minimizing abandoned power are optimized. Decoupling is carried out by using a hierarchical nested strategy to calculate the scale of wind and photovoltaic resources that can be carried by cascade hydropower stations. Applying this model to the cascade hydropower station group in the Yalong River Basin, the scale of wind and photovoltaic resources carried by the "three reservoirs and seven cascade" cascade hydropower stations in the Yalong River Basin is calculated. The research results show that considering the 2025 planning level year and 5% curtailment rate constraint, the cascade hydropower in the Yalong River basin can carry 1.396 million kW of wind power resources and 10.74 million kW of photovoltaic power resources. Background and objective Lung cancer is the malignant tumor with the highest incidence rate and the heaviest disease burden in China. In recent years, lung cancer has shown a high incidence trend, seriously affecting the health of the population. In this paper, we analyze the characteristics of lung cancer incidence in 2019 and the trend of incidence rate from 2010-2019 in the tumor registration area of Gansu province, in order to provide a reference basis for the development of lung cancer prevention and control strategies in Gansu province. Methods By analyzing the cases of lung cancer incidence in the tumor registration area of Gansu province in 2019, we calculated the incidence rate, medium incidence rate, world incidence rate and other related indexes; we used Joinpoint to calculate the annual percentage change (APC) for trend analysis. Results In 2019, a total of 3757 new cases of lung cancer were reported in Gansu province, accounting for 14.96% of all new malignant tumors. The incidence rate, medium incidence rate and world incidence rate and world rate of lung cancer were 40.52/105, 25.78/105, 25.86/105; and the cumulative rate of 0-74 years old, and the truncation rate of 35-64 years old were 3.23%, 40.03/105, respectively. The incidence of lung cancer rises with age, and is high in the age group of 40 years and above, and the incidence peaks in the male and female populations in the group of 75 years and above, and the group of 80 years and above, respectively. The crude incidence rate of lung cancer in the tumor registration area of Gansu province from 2010-2019 showed an overall increasing trend, and the rate of increase was relatively fast, with an APC 5.39% (P<0.05); Separately, according to gender, urban and rural areas, the incidence of lung cancer in all populations showed an increasing trend, and the APC of male, female, urban and rural populations were 4.98%, 6.39%, 6.26%, and 4.64%, respectively (all P<0.05). In order to study the influence of box subgrade haunching on structural static characteristics of high-speed railway, a more reasonable box subgrade haunching method is found. In this paper, the box subgrade is divided into independent components, and the reinforcement mode of each independent component is calculated through static analysis. ABAQUS software is used for numerical simulation. In view of the stress concentration phenomenon at the connection node between the top plate and the vertical plate of the box subgrade structure, the influence of different haunching heights and angles of the triangular haunch on the stress concentration at the node is studied by using the control variable method, and the optimal haunching mode is proposed to optimize the static characteristics of the box subgrade structure. The analysis results show that when the fixed axillary height is 400 mm and the axillary angle is between 15° ~ 60°, the stress mutation reduction ratio Sr value decreases with the increase of axillary angle; When the axillary angle is between 60° ~ 75°, the Sr value increases with the increase of the axillary angle, and the optimal axillary angle is between 45° ~ 60°. When the axillary angle is fixed at 60°, the Sr value decreases as the axillary length increases, and the optimal axillary length is between 300 ~ 400 mm. The gradual acceleration of the aging population in China has led to an increased demand for mobility aids, and the reliability of domestic wheeled walking-aid is one of their important attributes, but there is little research on the reliability of mobility aids. This paper conducts the failure mode, effects and criticality analysis on domestic wheeled walking-aid. By collecting, collating and analyzing the 26 failure modes, the key modules are the chassis and the lifting system. Li Shouxian, styled as Shanshu, was a medical doctor in the Qing Dynasty. His work Zhenjiu Yixue (Easy Study of Acupuncture and Moxibustion) has numerous versions, with the most refined one being the self-engraved edition from the third year of Jiaqing's reign, housed in the Jilin Province Library. While most content of the book was drawn from Zhenjiu Dacheng (Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion) , Li's condensation and arrangement of the material achieved the purpose of making it simple and easy to learn. The book has been widely spread and holds certain academic and historical value. This paper makes a textual research on Li's life, family, and his works, clarifies the content, structure and origin of the version of Zhenjiu Yixue and corrects errors in the version records of this book in the General Catalogue of Chinese Ancient Medical Books .

There is a kind of historical relics called "Angdi moniu" in the Palace Museum, which looks like metal and appears frequently in the archives of the Qing Dynasty as a foreign medicine.It is stated that it can treat sores and pus in the HanXiu CaoTang Biji and it was also found in the archives of the Palace Office. However, no researcher in the academic community has yet conducted an in-depth research of what exactly is it. Through the investigation of cultural relics, in-depth research of Chinese and foreign literature, and the use of linguistic methods, this paper examines "Angdi Moniu" and its related items, and clarifies that "Angdi Moniu" is antimony, related items are antimonials and antimony cup.

BACKGROUND: Currently, electrospun nanofibers, which are biomimetic materials of natural extracellular matrix and contain a three-dimensional network of interconnected pores, have been successfully used as scaffolds for various tissue regeneration, but are still faced with the challenge of extending the biomaterials into three-dimensional structures to reproduce the physiological, chemical as well as mechanical properties of the tissue microenvironment. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the process and principles of electrostatic spinning and to explore the applications of the resulting electrospun nanofibers in tissue regeneration of skin, blood vessels, nerves, bone, cartilage and tendons/ligaments. METHODS: With “electrospinning, electrospun nanofibers, electrospun nanofiber scaffolds, tissue regeneration” as the Chinese and English search terms, Google Academic Database, PubMed, and CNKI were searched, and finally 88 articles were included for review. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The electrospun nanofibers are a natural fibrous extracellular matrix mimetic material and contain a three-dimensional network of interconnected pores that have been successfully used as scaffolds for a variety of tissue regeneration applications. (2) Several papers have described the great potential of electrospun nanofiber scaffolds applied to the regeneration of skin, blood vessels, nerves, bones, cartilage and tendons/ ligaments, providing a solid theoretical basis for its final application in clinical disease treatment, or for its transformation into practical products to enter the market. (3) However, the current research results are mostly based on cell experimental research results in vitro, and whether it can be finally applied to human body still needs clinical verification. (4) At present, many kinds of electrospun products for various clinical needs have been commercialized in and outside China, indicating that the research field of electrospun nanofiber scaffolds for soft and hard tissue regeneration has great research value and application potential. Objective: This paper provides a brief overview of the epidemiology of colorectal cancer in China and around the world, and discusses how to prevent colorectal cancer to reduce its disease burden. Method: Using the official database of GLOBOCAN 2020, the China Cancer Registry Annual Report compiled by the National Cancer Center, and data from CONCORD-3.Data management was performed by Microsoft Excel 2016 and R 4.2.1 Relevant graphs were generated using the ggplot2 package for result visualization. Result: An estimated 1 931 590 people were diagnosed with colorectal cancer worldwide in 2020 with an age-standardized incidence rate of 19.5 per 100 000. There were about 935 173 deaths caused by colorectal cancer internationally, with an age-standardized mortality rate of 9.0 per 100 000. Overall, colorectal cancer was the fourth most commonly diagnosed cancer and the third leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide in 2020. In China, the age-standardized incidence rate and mortality rate of colorectal cancer was 17.3 per 100 000 and 7.8 per 100 000, respectively. Gender differences in trends were observed, with a decreasing trend in incidence and mortality among females and an increasing trend in incidence and mortality among males. The primary risk factors for colorectal cancer include age, genetic factors, gastrointestinal disorders, dietary habits, and lifestyle et al. Conclusions: Colorectal cancer poses a significant burden globally and in China. The occurrence of colorectal cancer is closely related to physiology, genetics, behavioral habits, lifestyle, and disease factors. To better control the colorectal cancer burden with the lowest cost, specific measures should be taken to reduce exposure to established risk factors. By combining the disease prevention and control strategies of tertiary prevention in China with the characteristic factors of colorectal cancer, the incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer may be effectively controlled.

Objective: To analyze and summarize the trends and hot spots in the field of neurological damage caused by electric welding operations, and to provide ideas for new researches by searching the domestic and international literature. Methods: In December 2022, using Web of Science Citation Index (Web of Science), China Journal Full-Text Database (CNKI) and Wanfang Database as search databases, literature search was conducted on the Chinese and English search terms related to eletrical welding operations and neurological damage. The bibliometric analysis software VOSviewer 1.6.18 and CiteSpace 6.1.6 were used to visualize the publication year, publication quantity, country, research institution and key words of the literature. Results: A total of 309 articles (112 in Chinese and 197 in English) were included in this study. The first domestic and international papers were published in 1976 and 1994 respectively, and the number of papers reached the peak in 2006 and 2018, and then showed a downward trend to varying degrees. In China, Shandong First Medical University (including Shandong Institute of Occupational Health and Occupational Disease Prevention and Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences) and Wuhan University of Science and Technology had the largest number of publications. The 309 articles were from 52 Chinese journals and 86 English journals. The co-occurrence analysis of key words showed that the domestic research mainly focused on eletrical welding operation, welding workers, neurobehavioral function and manganese, and the nervous system damage caused by manganese in welding smoke was the field of international attention. Long term exposure, risk, and performance were key buzzwords in the field. Conclusion: The research focus in the field of nervous system damage caused by electric welding operation has an obvious trend of time evolution, gradually transiting from clinical manifestations to its toxic mechanism and early biomarkers.

China attaches great importance to the occupational health assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises, but many efforts are still needed. Through the research and comparative analysis of the policies and measures of occupational health assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises at domestic and international, this paper finds that there are still some problems in the occupational health assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises in China, such as imperfect policies, lack of safeguard measures, support platforms and resources, and puts forward that China can promote the occupational health assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises from the aspects of perfecting the support system, strengthening safeguard measures, building relevant platforms and enriching resources.

Green and sustainable development of irrigated agriculture and protec tion of agricultural biodiversity are the inevitable require -ments for the construction of modern irrigated districts in China. However, in order to ensure the efficient utilization of irrigation water, the construction of irrigation channels has been dominated by hard engineering, which has caused the loss and fragmentation of amphibian habitat, and the damage for ecological environment of the irrigation districts. The construction of amphibian corridors in irrigation channels is an important way to improve the connectivity of agricultural landscape and the migration efficiency of frogs in farmland. This paper innovatively applies the hydraulic characteristics of curved channels to the research on ecological channels, builds the curved irrigation channel models, conducts numerical simulation experiment, analyzes the trajectory of frogs at the curved irrigation channels, proposes the design of engineered modifications to allow frogs to escape from field concrete ditches. To evaluate the effects of engineered modification on the effectiveness of frog-ways and the water transfer efficiency of irrigation channels, the paper compares the water flow pattern and calculates the head oss. By carrying out numerical simulation tests, the paper obtains the flow movement law of the concrete-lined irrigation channels with different bend angles, and the flow dynamic axis and velocity distribution are compared. As a result, the slow flow zone and the transverse circulation are found. The locations suitable for amphibian corridors to be built vary when the curvature of the curve changes. The numerical simulation and head loss calculation results show that the amphibian corridors in the bend has no obvious influence on flow pattern and water transfer efficiency, and the head loss in bend is about 3.83X10"4 m, which can ensure the safe and unobstructed water flow. This study is expected to provide a scientific reference and technical support for the ecological reconstruction of end irrigation channel systems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Global warming has changed the thermal and dynamic environment of climate effects, further exacerbating the uneven distribution of water in China within the year, and the threat of drought will continue to intensify. Flood control and drought resistance are equally important at present. How to reasonably utilize the flood control capacity of reservoirs and raise the flood control level is the key to alleviating the supply-demand contradiction of water resources in China. In the face of new situations, combining the existing operation regulations of the Three Gorges Reservoir and long series of historical runoff data, this paper takes the Three Gorges Reservoir as the object and formulates different flood control level schemes to analyze the benefits and risks of raising the flood control level of the Three Gorges Reservoir. The results indicate that relying on the current forecast level and the joint operation of upstream reservoirs, the flood control risk of the Three Gorges Reservoir flood control level rising to 155-157 m is controllable. It will not lower the flood control standards of Jingjiang and increase the risk of backwater flooding in the reservoir area. When the flood control level of the Three Gorges is raised to 153 m, the average annual power genertion reached its maximum value of 102.9 billion kWh, an increase of 16.7% compared to the initial design value. Consistent with years of statistical law, the Three Gorges Reservoir reaches its maximum power generation capacity in both wet and normal years when the flood control level increases to 153 m. Higher flood control level in dry years, resulting in better power generation efficiency. The flood control benefits are negatively correlated with the flood control level, but the average annual flood detention volume of different schemes varies by 1.5 billion m3. It has changed little. The benefits of water resources are positively correlated with the flood control level. The starting water level of the Three Gorges Reservoir increases synchronously with the rise in the flood control level. When the flood control level rises to 147 m, the full storage rate of the Three Gorges Reservoir can reach 100% by the end of October. For every 1m increase in flood control level, the average annual outflow of water during the storage period can increase by about 500 million m3. Relying on the current forecast level and the joint operation of upstream reservoirs, the flood control risk of the Three Gorges Reservoir s flood control water level rising to 155- 157 m is controllable. Patent foramen ovale (PFO) is closely related to neurological diseases such as stroke, migraine, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) and decompression sickness (DCS). It has been suggested that PFO closure could be effectively prevent and treat these neurological diseases. This article focus on exploration of the pathogenesis, epidemiology and clinical characteristics of neurological diseases related to PFO, and to discuss the potential complexity and future development of PFO closure for the treatment of these diseases. [Objective] Experimental techniques and operations are fundamental in the field of high-voltage technology. For transportation majors, the traction power supply system experiment is a mandatory part of the comprehensive high-voltage experimental course. The traction power supply system itself is a basic piece of equipment in the high-voltage laboratory. However, owing to the lack of space environment simulation test conditions, research on the physical changes and protection methods of bow net arcs under strong airflow is limited. [Methods] To gain a better understanding of the operating characteristics of high-speed trains in external environments and conduct research on arc changes between the pantograph and catenary, this paper designs and develops a discharge experimental platform for the pantograph and catenary current collection system of high-speed trains. This platform includes a wind tunnel structure, a fan rotor system, a wind tunnel control system, a pantograph and catenary arc generation system, and an observation system. The test results show that the wind speeds of the low-speed DC wind tunnel can reach 50 m/s, with turbulence degree and velocity nonuniformity both being less than 1%. Moreover, the flow field stability does not exceed 1%, and the airflow deviation angle is no more than 0.5°. These results meet the parameters specified in the national standard of the People's Republic of China: A requirement for flow quality of low- and high-speed wind tunnels (GJB 1179A-2012). This system provides an optimal experimental environment for exploring the changes in the physical characteristics of bow net arcs under strong airflow conditions. It offers valuable reference data for studying the train pantograph--catenary arc in high-speed operating environments. Furthermore, this experimental system allows for the observation of changes in the arc characteristics of the pantograph network under strong airflow conditions. It also includes basic measurement and monitoring functions, enabling it to collect, store, and display experimental data and charge and discharge environmental parameters in real time. This makes it a valuable tool for studying the generation of the pantograph network arc and the changes in its physical characteristics of the pantograph network arc under different flow field environments. [Results] In this study, the speed of the low-speed DC wind tunnel system ranges from 0 to 50 m/s. The pantograph--catenary system is simulated using carbon sliding plates and copper wires. These materials also help in generating continuous and stable pantograph--catenary arcs. A high-speed camera with a frame rate of 1,000 FPS is used to capture the arc of the pantograph mesh. This allows us to record the development pattern of the arc and transmit experimental data and images to the computer for further analysis. This article presents the design and development of an experimental system that simulates a space environment with strong airflows. By combining the traction power supply system and wind tunnel system, we can simulate external environments such as wind and sand, rain, fog, and smoke flow. This provides the necessary conditions for exploring the physical changes of the pantograph and catenary arc under a strong airflow environment. [Conclusions] The system is crucial for in-depth research on pantograph and catenary arc characteristics. It enables the analysis of damage characteristics of the pantograph and catenary system.
