At present, in the postgraduate teaching of control theory and control engineering in many universities of China, multiple control courses and system identification courses are simultaneously set up. Since the relationship among these courses cannot be well reflected, and the teaching of them generally pays more attention on theory and ignores practice, the students are inefficient in their studies and cannot deeply understand what they have learned. In view of this status, based on the postgraduate innovation experimental class of the state key laboratory of synthetical automation for process industries in Northeastern University, by combining the modeling course with multiple control courses, this paper introduced the teaching idea, teaching method and experiment teaching practice of the newly established modern control system course. Through investigation and feedback after class, the course and teaching method won the praise of the teachers and students . [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
