The drug treatment is the common cause of hyperprolactinemia, especially for psychotropics. It has reached consensus that some antipsychotic drugs easily induce to hyperprolactinemia, such as risperidone, sulpiride, amisulpride, paliperidone. It has been documented that the use of antidepressants is associated with elevated serum prolactin levels, but presently, we still know very little about their correlation. This article reviews the research results at home and abroad in recent years. Starting with the incidence, risk factors, mechanisms, identification and management, this paper expounds the relativity between different types antidepressants and hyperprolactinemia, and is of related clinical significant.
