The application of steel short piles in practical engineering is restricted due to its unclear bearing mechanism. However, due to advantages such as low cost, high strength, minimal soil displacement, easy construction, and convenient transportation, these piles are widely used in photovoltaic power projects in desert areas. In order to accurately reveal the horizontal and vertical bearing performance of steel piles in desert regions, horizontal load tests for different types of steel piles (including cross-sectional shape, cross-sectional area, and burial depth) and vertical compression and uplift load tests were conducted in a specific sandy site. The study analyzed the influence of parameters such as cross-sectional shape, cross-sectional size, and pile length on the bearing performance of steel piles. Research findings indicate: (1) The horizontal bearing performance of pipe piles and H-shaped steel piles is signifi-cantly better than that of C-shaped steel piles and trough-shaped steel piles. Compared with C-shaped steel piles and trough-shaped steel piles, pipe piles and H-shaped steel piles exhibit advantages in resisting wind loads, with the horizontal bearing performance of H-shaped steel piles closely related to the cross-sectional size and pile length. (2) The vertical bearing capacity of pipe piles and H-shaped steel piles is also significantly better than that of C-shaped steel piles and trough-shaped steel piles. Moreover, the compressive and tensile bearing performance of H-shaped steel piles is positively correlated with cross-sectional size and pile length. When the length of pile is the same, the vertical bearing capacity of H-shaped steel piles is similar to that of pipe piles. (3) The bearing performance of H-shaped steel piles is more prominent compared to other pile types (C-shaped steel piles, trough-shaped, and pipe piles) in sandy soil area. Furthermore, when compared with traditional pipe piles, H-shaped steel piles requires less materials and can create greater economic value, making them an excellent choice for the foundation of desert photovoltaic bracket foundations. The research results in this paper have reference for engineering applications.

This study targets at asymmetric deformation of narrow coal pillar in gob-side entry driving.We put forward the bidirectional reinforcement of narrow pillar with opposite-crossing anchor cable.Specifically, we designed two types of anchor cable structure: the byelongation type and the expansion lock type, and carried out the pull-out test of opposite-crossing anchor cable, the test shows that both anchor cable structures could meet the tensile requirements.We conducted comparative analysis on the morphology of anchor cable failure, construction convenience and the economic aspect of material selection, where the expansion lock type crossed anchor was selected for narrow coal pillar bidirectional reinforcement.Furthermore, we investigated the bearing deformation patterns of coal pillars and the stress characteristics of anchor cables under different reinforcement methods through similar model tests and numerical simulation.Results show a 96.04% increase of peak load in the specimen reinforced by the double-row tight opposite-crossing anchor cable compared with that of the not reinforced specimen, and higher stability of the narrow pillar reinforced by the double-row tight opposite-crossing anchor cable as the rows of the anchor cable increases in number.The expansion lock anchor type crossed cable improved the energy storage and the critical failure point before the coal pillar was destroyed.Finally, the engineering test of expansive lock type crossed anchor cable to reinforcing narrow coal pillar was carried out in the transportation roadway of 123 lower 04 working face of Jining No.3 Coal Mine.The monitoring show that the anchoring force of the anchor cable exceeded 220kN, with 70& reduction of the coal pillar in the reinforcement area and good overall stability of the narrow coal pillar.It proves the feasibility of the bidirectional reinforcement technology of narrow pillar and provides new technical way for gob-side entry driving.

When studying the characteristics of aerostatic bearings with orifices by solving the Reynolds equation, it is usually assumed that the discharge coefficient is a constant of 0.8,which may affect the accuracy of solving the Reynolds equation. A method which combined Fluent and Reynolds equation was proposed to obtain the discharge coefficient in the aerostatic thrust bearings with inherent orifices. The discharge coefficients were calculated by comparing the mass flow rate obtained by FLUENT and Reynolds equation simulations. The influence of parameters such as gas film thickness, gas supply pressure,and orifice diameter on the orifice coefficient was analyzed. The results indicate that the discharge coefficient increases first and then decreases with the increase of film thickness,decreases with the increase of gas supply pressure,and increases with the increase of orifice diameter. However, the discharge coefficient is not sensitive to changes in bearing radius and orifice length. The bearing capacity from solution of Reynolds equation with the discharge coefficient obtained by this solution method is agreement with that from FLUENT, verifying the correctness and feasibility of this solution method. The Reynolds equation was modified in response the problem that the continuity equation used in the derivation of the conventional master Reynolds equation was not applicable at the throttle bore of a hydrostatic gas bearing. Based on the angle-preserving transformation method, Newton's iteration method, finite difference method and relaxation iteration method, the modified Reynolds equation was calculated for the region of the bearing gas film flow field, and the distribution of gas film pressure along the circumferential direction at the apex angle of the orifice distribution cone was obtained under different air supply pressures. The influence of air supply pressure and radial eccentricity on the radial load capacity and axial load capacity of aerostatic air spherical bearings was analyzed. The results show that the radial bearing capacity and axial bearing capacity of aerostatic spherical air bearings are affected by the coupling of static pressure effect and dynamic pressure effect. The greater the air supply pressure, the greater the radial bearing capacity and axial bearing capacity,and the greater the air consumption. The greater the radial eccentricity, the greater the radial bearing capacity and axial bearing capacity,and the radial eccentricity has little effect on the gas consumption.The larger the diameter of the orifice, the greater the radial bearing capacity, axial bearing capacity and air consumption. In order to investigate the effect of pad pivot offset on the static performance of porous tilting pad bearings,a thermal hybrid lubrication model of porous tilting pad bearings was proposed,and Fluent software was used to analyze the static characteristics of the bearings.The grid iteration algorithm and the pad motion UDF were used to simulate the motion and swing of each pad of the bearing along the pivot,and the effects of eccentricity,rotor speed,gas supply pressure and pivot offset on bearing load capacity,mass leakage,friction torque and temperature rise were studied.The results show that increasing the bearing pivot offset can improve the bearing load capacity,especially under conditions of high eccentricity, high speed, and low gas supply pressure,the increase in bearing load is more significant. When the eccentricity and speed are the same, appropriate pivot offset can significantly reduce the gas consumption of the bearing. However,pivot offset increases the frictional torque, causing the rotor temperature to rise. Therefore,a reasonable pivot offset should be selected to avoid the adverse effects of temperature rise on the bearings. To further optimize the static performance of static pressure gas radial bearings,a composite throttling type static pressure gas radial bearing with axial and circumferential pressure equalizing grooves was proposed based on the traditional small hole throttling.Fluent was used to compare and analyze the static characteristics of the bearings with traditional orifice throttling and different forms of composite throttling,and the influence of the cross-sectional shape of the equalizing groove and the gas supply pressure on the static characteristics of bearings was explored. The orthogonal experiments were used to explore the influence of the structural parameters of the restrictor on the bearing characteristics. The results show that the composite throttling static pressure gas bearing improves the static characteristics of the bearing to a certain extent,and the best effect is achieved when the pressure equalizing groove is arranged in a "mouth" shape and the cross-sectional shape is rectangular.An increase in gas supply pressure can also improve the static characteristics of bearings.The influence of the diameter of the orifice and the depth of the equalizing groove on the static characteristics of bearings is larger than that of the depth of the orifice and width of the equalizing groove. The increase in the diameter of the orifice and the depth of the equalizing groove results in a trend of first increasing and then decreasing in the bearing capacity and stiffness of bearings. Village classification is an important foundation for preparing village planning and formulating development strategies. This study takes a typical plateau mountain area-Yulong County, Yunnan Province as the research object. First, the analytical hierarchy process is used to build a “three evaluations” (ecological sensitivity, development potential, and construction suitability)indicator system. Second, spatial correlation analysis of the “three evaluations” was carried out to obtain the initial village classification results. Finally, the state space method was used to calculate the village bearing capacity, which could be used to correct the initial village classification. Thus, the final village classification could be obtained. The results show that a significant plateau mountain space distribution of heterogeneity was shown in the villages of the research area, and the spatial autocorrelation coefficients of the “three evaluations” were 0.343, 0.253, and 0.110, respectively; more than 60% of the villages were in a bearing state and the higher bearing capacity was concentrated in the southeast, northwest, and central regions of the research area. After the comprehensive carrying capacity was calculated and corrected, the special protection category accounted for 23%, the suburban integration category accounted for 4%, the relocation and withdrawal category accounted for 15%, the agglomeration and promotion category accounted for 40%, and the temporary unclear category accounted for 18%. For different types of villages, the layout optimization strategy should be proposed according to the carrying capacity calculation results. The results of this research can provide a reference and basis for the formulation of township(town)-level territorial spatial planning and the implementation of “multi-planning” practical village planning. Karst caves should be avoided as far as possible during pile foundation construction, but sometimes it is unavoidable. Therefore, research on the bearing characteristics of pile foundations in karst areas is a problem that must be faced. The current status of research on the bearing characteristics of pile foundations in karst areas from three aspects: theoretical research, physical experiments, and numerical simulation was analyzed. The following conclusion was drawn. The existing bearing capacity calculation formulas have insufficient consideration of influencing factors, and subsequent theoretical research should consider the derivation of single pile ultimate bearing capacity calculation formulas under the synergistic influence of multiple factors. The variables in physical model tests are relatively single, and the influence of water on the bearing characteristics of pile foundations is often ignored during the testing process. Subsequent research should focus on the synergistic effect of groundwater and multiple factors. There are few in-situ experiments conducted, and the accuracy of the data obtained through detection needs to be improved. In the future, more in-situ experiments and in-site damage experiments should be carried out to obtain more comprehensive experimental data on the bearing characteristics of pile foundations. Most of the cave models are built with standard size in numerical simulation, which is inconsistent with the three-dimensional geometric size of the actual stratum cave. The section K0 +785 -K0 +988 on the north shore of the Dalian Bay immersed tunnel, which is higher than the original seabed surface, is susceptible to ship collision risks and requires anti-collision measures. Taking into account factors such as construction difficulty, environmental protection, and cost, a permeable gravity pier foundation composed of circular caissons, column piles, and cast-in-place piers was proposed as the anti-collision structure, while meeting the requirements of the construction period. Combined with the structural form and main loads of the anti-collision pier, the overall stability of the anti-collision pier structure and the bearing capacity of the column piles were analyzed and calculated using finite element method and specification method. The results show that the permeable gravity pier anti-collision structure can meet the requirements of engineering use in all aspects, and can provide design reference for the construction of similar structures in the future. Resin sleeper is an important method to improve the quality of open deck structure, but the composite forming process and material characteristics have a direct impact on the service performance of sleepers. According to the characteristics of the open deck structure of resin sleepers, macro and micro finite element models of resin sleepers are established respectively based on ABAQUS and other simulation platforms. From the perspective of multi-scale simulation, the effects of composite material density, fiber bundle diameter, orientation and distribution on the bearing capacity and deformation of sleepers are studied. The results show that: Increasing the fiber bundle diameter and fully dispersing the fiber bundle can reduce the sleeper stress by 10%~30%; Changing the fiber orientation has a significant effect on improving the bearing capacity of sleepers. Optimizing the fiber distribution orientation can reduce the stress on the surface of sleepers by 20% ~ 30%; On this basis, a fiber bundle layering structure of "45°/0°/45°" is proposed. With this structure, higher bearing capacity can be obtained under the same deformation control level, which is 30% ~ 50% higher than the full section longitudinal layering scheme. Aiming at the problem that it is difficult to ensure the comprehensive improvement of the load capacity and transmission accuracy of the RV reducer during the modification process of the RV reducer, and most of the research on the modification is the single-objective modification. The optimization method with the goal of reducer carrying capacity and backlash was proposed based on the RV,and dynamic experiments were conducted on the modified RV reducer using a comprehensive performance testing platform. Firstly, considering the modified tooth profile equation of the cycloid wheel and the specific parameters of the RV reducer required for the modification, the contact force generated by the standard cycloid wheel was analyzed. Then, according to the position of the maximum contact force, the calculation method of the power of the cycloid gear teeth was obtained. The number of teeth meshing at the same time was judged by comparing the initial meshing gap between the cycloid gear and the pin teeth and the deformation of the cycloid gear and the pin gear. MATLAB iterative calculation method was used to calculate the accurate maximum contact force, and the Hertz formula was used to calculate the leading contact force. Finally, the influence of different modification methods on the return difference was analyzed, and a multi-objective optimization model was established. The improved NSGA-Ⅱ algorithm gamultiobj genetic algorithm was used for optimization, and the optimal modification amount under the minimum fitness was obtained by solving the solution. To verify the accuracy of the modification method, a dynamic experiment was conducted on the modified RV reducer using a comprehensive performance testing platform. The research results show that after optimization, the maximum contact stress between cycloid gear teeth is respectively reduced by 11% and 13%, comparing with median and displacement modification. The optimized return difference is 0.013′, compared with both the equidistant change and the displacement modification, it has been improved. The multi-objective modification with the load capacity and backlash as the optimization target can better solve the problem of improving the comprehensive performance of the RV reducer. In order to study the mechanical performance of the bottom plate of the T-ribbed composite slab (HTPKG slab) composed of assembled monolithic high ductility concrete (HDC), ribbed composite slab (PK slab) and cold-formed thin-wall steel, the static load test of four HTPKG prefabricated slab specimens was carried out to study the stiffness and bearing capacity of HTPKG slab. The influence of span, upper flange width and web width on the compression performance and bearing capacity of HTPKG slab is analyzed, and the optimal slab type is selected. The test results show that cracks appear in the middle of the bottom span of the four components when loaded to 4.4~4.5 kN respectively, and no brittle fracture occurs until the extreme loading, indicating that the HTPKG plate has good bearing capacity and ductility characteristics. The selection of materials for the liner of water lubricated stern bearing for ships is very demanding. It plays a vital role in achieving excellent features such as increased load, reduced drag, low noise, and wear resistance of the bearings. The mechanical research on the characteristics of stern bearing supporting is extremely crucial. For this problem, theoretical analysis and research was conducted on the influence of bearing structure on bearing capacity. A dynamic model of the stern bearing for real ships was constructed. The laws in structural parameters of bushings, lower bearing shells, and rubber were analyzed. The influence of the reserved gap size of the rubber layer on the load deformation relationship was studied. The influence of contact methods on the structural parameters of bushings,lower bearing shells, and rubber was explored. The research shows that as the thickness of the rubber increases, the deformation of the lining layer gradually decreases. The thickness has the greatest impact on deformation, followed by the distance from the top edge, and the distance from the side edge has the smallest impact. Affected by the soaking of goaf water, the reduced bearing capacity of section coal pillar is not conducive to disaster prevention and control. In order to study the equivalent width of section coal pillar in rock burst coal seam under water-rich conditions, taking the 4-2 302 working face of a coal mine as an example, stress distribution characteristics and evolution laws of section coal pillars under immersion and natural water content conditions were analyzed by theoretical calculation, numerical simulation and engineering practice. The theoretical calculation results indicate that compared to immersion conditions, the width of the naturally water-bearing coal pillar decreased by 5.66 m, the width of the plastic zone decreased by 2.69 m, and the width of the elastic core zone decreased by 3.53 m. Furthermore, through numerical simulation and comparative analysis of stress peaks and ranges of 36 m immersed coal pillar and 26 m, 28 m, 30 m, 32 m with non-immersed coal pillar, it was found that the stress distribution curves of 30 m non-immersed coal pillar was similar to that of 36 m immersed coal pillar.

[Introduction] At present, in China's offshore wind power projects, with the gradual development of the far-reaching sea, the most commonly used foundation structure of wind turbine is the pile foundation, and the most commonly used superstructure is the jacket structure. The combination of the two constitutes the basic support system of wind turbine. In some shallow cover areas of deep water, the application demand of large diameter jacket foundation is particularly strong, and the design of the lower pile foundation directly determines the feasibility of the scheme and the safety of the structure. In order to verify the bearing capacity of the large diameter short pile foundation of the jacket, the calculation method of CPTU is proposed. [Method] Through the UWA-05 method recommended in the CPTU calculation method of API specification, the bearing capacity was calculated, and the actual measurement of high strain data of a wind field in Guangdong and the formula calculation results were further analyzed, and the parameters of the end resistance of the formula itself were quite different. [Result] The results show that the CPTU method is used to fit the side resistance with the measured data. It is difficult to form an effective soil plug for the large diameter short pile of the jacket. When calculating the end resistance by using the CPTU method, it is recommended to consider only the end ring area. [Conclusion] Therefore, it is a reliable method to calculate the bearing capacity of large diameter short pile in jacket, but it is suggested to compare and verify the data of test pile, so as to provide reference for the subsequent application of large diameter short pile in far-reaching sea breeze field.

After more than 30 years of development, the foundation calculation system has been updated with the updating of codes and standards. Though the latest version of codes and standards have been released, the corresponding software has not been updated. At the same time, with the expansion of business, the required software should be able to be used in different fields, adaptable to both domestic and foreign codes and standards, and be used more conveniently and efficiently. Therefore, the Foundation Calculation System version 5.0 (FOCAS 5.0) has been developed. The pre-post processing of the new version of the software is compiled with JavaScript. The pre-processing input is convenient, with the function of checking, while the postprocessing displays results in modules and can generate editable calculation sheet. The kernel is developed in the C language, which has kept the calculation modules of 2008 edition, and also expanded the corresponding calculation method. In the module of foundation bearing capacity and slope stability, more calculation methods have been included, which can adapt to codes and standards in different fields and of many countries. It is the richest calculation methods in similar types of software. The new version of the software is a reliable and efficient calculation tool, and also provides reference for similar domestic software. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to reveal the mechanism of pile-side grouting reinforcement of existing bridge pile foundations in silty clay stratum, the relationship between grouting pressure and water-cement ratio on the reinforcement effect of pile-side soil was investigated through model tests, and numerical simulations were used to obtain the law of pile-side grouting on the bearing characteristics of existing pile foundations. The research results show that the cement slurry is squeezed and split reinforced in the silty clay, and the diffusion pattern shows linear and radial. The grouting silty clay reinforcement effect is positively related to the grouting pressure, and it shows the trend of increasing and then decreasing with the increase of water-cement ratio. Pile side grouting reinforcement can effectively improve the lateral friction resistance within the reinforcement area, and the deep part of the pile foundation has more obvious improvement of lateral friction resistance compared with the shallow part.
