The authors have put forward an improved approach for project buffer sizing based on the resource constrains, logical complexity as well as project managers' risk preference by using fuzzy logic theory. Taking resource substitutability into consideration, the authors have integrated the optimization and tradeoff between cost and schedule into the indicators for the evaluation of critical chain scheduling.
