- Abstract
The intake tower of diversion tunnel of Dongzhuang Hydro-Junction Project is huge, with the largest tower height of 61.5 m, the width of tower body of 26.5 m, the length of downstream flow direction of 26 m, and the maximum designed flow of 5 300 m³/s. The bank slope where the tower is located is steep, so it is necessary to study the dynamic characteristics of the tower. In order to ensure the safety and economy of the intake tower, in this paper, the response spectrum method was used to study the dynamic characteristics of the intake tower under earthquake action, and systematically studied the influence of the height of backfill concrete behind the intake tower on the natural frequency, deformation and stress of the intake tower. The calculation results indicate that when the concrete backfill ratio behind the tower is around 0.80, it can not only meet the safety requirements of the intake tower structure, but also meet the economic conditions.
